Beverly Hills Fashion Week  returned for its second edition from October 10 to 12, 2025, celebrating the theme Runway to Runway. The event once again positioned Beverly Hills as a rising global hub for luxury fashion, merging Hollywood glamour with international sophistication.

This year’s edition took place at the prestigious Gravitas Beverly Hills Private Club, located in the heart of the Golden Triangle. The opening ceremony featured President of the Beverly Hills Chamber of Commerce, Todd Johnson; Mayor of Beverly Hills, Sharona Nazarian; CEO, Co-Founder, and Producer of BHFW, Tammy Barr; and Co-Founder and Producer, Edgar Saakyan. Together, they officially opened the second edition of Beverly Hills Fashion Week during a ribbon-cutting ceremony that set the tone for a weekend of elegance and innovation.

The Runway to Runway theme celebrated the spirit of movement, freedom, and innovation that defines modern fashion. It symbolized how Beverly Hills continues to evolve beyond its cinematic image, establishing itself as a legitimate style capital that connects creativity, culture, and commerce.

Sustainability also played a part in this year’s vision, with several collections incorporating eco-conscious materials and ethical craftsmanship, aligning with a broader global shift toward responsible luxury.

'South Park' Takes On Peter Thiel's Antichrist Obsession

‘South Park’ Takes On Peter Thiel’s Antichrist Obsession

by jummy84 October 16, 2025
written by jummy84

South Park returned from another two-week break on Wednesday with some fresh jabs at Donald Trump and Peter Thiel.

During the Season 27 episode ‘Twisted Christian‘, Theil visits the children of South Park to preach against the “satanic numerology shit” going on at the school, as the kids share inside jokes about the numbers six and seven (an actual phenomena taking over schools recently).

“I’m Peter Thiel and I know about the anti-Christ,” he declares in the assembly after his own theme song states the same intro, a nod to the tech billionaire’s recent lectures on armageddon and the possible identity of the antichrist.

According to Thiel’s South Park lecture, the end of the world will happen in six to seven days, as predicted by Revelation 6:7. His obsession with the numbers results in Thiel turning South Park into a surveillance state and commandeering all the students’ data to compile a list of cultists.

“Wait why is there a camera in the girls bathroom?” asks Jesus, to which Thiel declares: “To stop the anti-Christ!”

Meanwhile, Cartman has the most aggressive reaction to the numbers, going full Linda Blair with projectile vomit. This draws Thiel to his door for an Exorcist homage as he is determined to get to the bottom of the numbers’ meaning and how Cartman is supposed to stop the antichrist.

Thiel remains in contact with JD Vance, who is determined to stop Satan from birthing Trump’s demonic spawn, as the POTUS visits Planned Parenthood to try and take matters into his own hands.

Unfortunately, the doctor is unable to help give Satan an abortion, so they instead recommend Trump reach out to Thiel, expert on the antichrist.

Turning its premiere-delayed 10 episode Season 27 into a mega season, South Park airs on Comedy Central at 10 pm ET Wednesdays, and the next day on Paramount+. Unless Parker and Stone hit the wall again this year and run out of time to get an episode on the air, South Park‘s remaining Season 27 shows will land on Oct. 29, Nov. 12, 26 and Dec. 10 respectively.

Shah Rukh Khan takes a jab at Karan Johar, asks ‘Are you running for ‘Ozempic’? Filmmaker has the perfect comeback

At a recent award night held in Ahmedabad, a light-hearted moment on stage stirred more than just laughter when Shah Rukh Khan made a cheeky remark at co-host Karan Johar. During the event, SRK made comments on Karan’s transformed physique, hinting at his significant weight loss, and jokingly mentioned the popular weight loss drug ‘Ozempic’, to which KJo had the perfect comeback.

Shah Rukh Khan and Karan Johar

The filmmaker took a sly shot in return, weaving in the name ‘Wankhede’, a clear reference to the controversy surrounding Sameer Wankhede, the former Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) official who has been in the media spotlight due to a recent lawsuit against SRK’s son Aryan Khan’s show The Ba***ds Of Bollywood.

SRK was seen asking Karan, “Bahaut alag lag rahe ho,” to which Karan responded with, “Zyada exercise karne laga hoon aajkal.” SRK then asked, “Oh, you’re working out, are you planning to go for Ozempic?” instantly correcting himself, “Ahh Olympics”, leaving Karan speechless.

Karan, known for his witty comebacks, said, “Haan, Wankhede mein hai Olympics. Aaoge?” In interviews following his weight loss, KJo has consistently pushed back against rumours that he used Ozempic or similar medications, attributing his transformation to health, medical adjustments, and lifestyle discipline. He has said, “That’s a lot of work, and it’s not medication like the rumor suggests” and emphasized his commitment to being “healthy, eating well, and exercising.”

The 70th Filmfare award moment showcased the two’s witty way of reacting to the news around them.

Arkansas Traveler Dylan Earl Takes Us for a Ride » PopMatters

by jummy84 October 10, 2025
written by jummy84

Dylan Earl is that friend your parents never wanted you to hang out with. They knew he had a healthy disrespect for authority and would rather drive around smoking than do anything constructive. His love of nature trumped his desire to do chores. He wasn’t lazy; he just didn’t understand what was better than hanging out in the woods or cruising the byways. At least, that’s how he comes across on his latest album, the complacently titled Level-Headed Even Smile. He’s sitting on top of the world on his “Lawn Chair” and invites you to accompany him in the backyard. You can hear him pop a top as he invites one to join him.

The Arkansas traveler wants you to “Get in the Truck”, where the radio and the road take one wherever one’s going. He gets high just being in the Ouachita National Forest in the Natural State. The simple pleasures of mountain life in the “White River Valley” (a Jimmy Driftwood cover) can be found in bird songs and the sighing of pine trees. Earl can be corny and old-fashioned, but his smooth voice bleeds sincerity. There are traces of classic country in his purposeful Merle Haggard-style delivery. Earl never seems to strain to reach a note.

That doesn’t mean the singer-songwriter’s content. Earl sings about hitting rock bottom in Little Rock and clearly enjoys hitting the bottle too much to deal with the pain of heartbreak. “I guess I’ll sober up when I’m dead,” he sings with a smirk. That contrasts with the satisfied persona who finds solace in nature. He needs a dose of wildlife to insulate him from the hurt of daily life. This push and pull keeps the album from sounding too similar from one track to the next.

Something is missing here, and that’s other people. Earl may have friends and family, but they scarcely make an appearance in his lyrics. He claims to be “Two Kinds of Loner”, but we really don’t know why. Sure, hell can be other people, but so can heaven.

Earl’s sense of humor keeps things from getting too heavy. His take on outlaw country inverts the Charlie Kirk perspective on empathy. He notes “White privilege is real” and rails against the hypocrisy of those with authority and sings with an affected drawl to show his Southern roots. Why, he’s just a good ol’ boy, NOT! He’s funny, but he is serious.

As the title song says, the singer-songwriter aspires to be on even keel. That mostly means being alone while complaining about or celebrating being alone. He can find that mental state somewhere in the Arkansas woods, in the bottom of the bottle, or just taking a drive through the country, but it does seem that he can’t stay levelheaded for long. There is always something to disrupt his inner peace. Dylan Earl needs a friend or more friends or even a lover, but he seems like the character one’s parents warned about. He may waste your time, but he would be a good pal.

[Update] Future’s Team Denies Role In V*olent Tokyo Nightclub Brawl As A Boogie Wit Da Hoodie’s Camp Takes The Heat

Future’s team is clearing the air after chaos broke out at a Tokyo nightclub over the weekend.

“Future’s crew was not involved in the ‘Magic City’ brawl whatsoever,” Future’s team shared in a statement with TMZ.

All eyes are now on A Boogie Wit Da Hoodie and his entourage, who were caught in a massive brawl that erupted inside Zouk Japan during the Magic City Takeover event. The Bronx rapper was seen in the thick of it, standing on a platform in bright yellow Air Jordan 5s, reportedly looking for something to throw.

Eyewitnesses say A Boogie’s team appeared to be the most aggressive in the melee, though it remains unclear what sparked the v*olence. A clip obtained by TMZ shows the aftermath of the brawl, with money scattered across the floor and dancers fleeing the scene. No arrests have been reported at this time.

What are your thoughts on this brawl?

Kantara Chapter 1 Takes The Lead! Enters 100 Crore Club In Record Time, Leaves Competition Behind! | Glamsham.com

by jummy84 October 5, 2025
written by jummy84

Rishab Shetty’s Kantara Chapter 1 has taken the Indian box office by storm, becoming the top choice for moviegoers across the country. Despite receiving mixed reviews, this Kannada mythological action drama has quickly proven its box office might, entering the ₹100 crore club in just 48 hours.

According to early estimates, the film earned between ₹43–₹45 crore net on Day 2, following a stellar opening of ₹61.85 crore on Day 1. That brings its total to an estimated ₹104.85–₹106.85 crore net across all languages within two days—a remarkable feat for a regional film. Even on a regular working Friday, Kantara Chapter 1 maintained strong momentum, seeing only a 27–30% drop from its debut day. The movie is now setting new standards for Sandalwood and has emerged as serious competition for other major releases, including Jolly LLB 3, especially in the Hindi-speaking markets.

Box Office Breakdown (India, all languages):

Day 1: ₹61.85 crore

Day 2: ₹43–45 crore (early estimates)

Total (2 days): ₹104.85–106.85 crore

Kantara Chapter 1 vs Original Kantara

The success of Kantara Chapter 1 is a massive leap from the original film. In 2022, Kantara collected just ₹4.60 crore in its first two days. It took the original film 17 days to cross the ₹100 crore mark after its dubbed versions were released in Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, and Malayalam. In stark contrast, the prequel has reached that milestone in just two days, highlighting the power of franchise recognition and the growing appeal of Rishab Shetty’s storytelling.

With two more days remaining in its extended opening weekend, Kantara Chapter 1 is poised to break more records and solidify its place as one of 2025’s biggest box office successes.

Eddie Vedder played a slew of covers at this year’s edition of Ohana Music Festival, taking on tracks by George Harrison, Led Zeppelin, DEVO and more – check out footage below.

The Pearl Jam frontman has been running his own California-based festival since 2016, and was joined by his backing band, The Earthlings, to headline the festival’s first night.

It marked the first time in two years that he and his Earthlings bandmates – who include The Frames‘ Glen Hansard, Red Hot Chili Peppers drummer Chad Smith and former RHCP guitarist (and current Pearl Jam touring member) Josh Klinghoffer, Jane’s Addiction bassist Chris Chaney and guitarist Andrew Watt – have performed onstage together.

To mark the occasion, they delivered a cover-heavy set alongside some Pearl Jam classics, kicking off Friday night’s (September 26) gig with a cover of DEVO’s ‘Gut Feeling’ before launching into Pearl Jam’s ‘Corduroy’.

After storming through tracks like ‘Setting Forth’ and ‘No Ceiling’, both played for the first time in years, they covered The Who’s ‘I’m One’ and jammed to the intro of Led Zeppelin’s ‘The Song Remains the Same’ ahead of playing ‘Rearviewmirror’.

Eddie Vedder at Ohana Festival 2025 played:

‘Gut Feeling’ (DEVO cover)
‘Corduroy’ (Pearl Jam song)
‘I’ll Be Waiting’
‘Long Way’
‘The Dark’
‘Setting Forth’ (first time since 2017)
‘Far Behind’
‘No Ceiling’ (first time since 2019)
‘Brother the Cloud
‘I’m One’ (The Who cover)
‘Watch Outside’ (Mono Men cover)
‘Lukin’ (Pearl Jam song)
‘Chad-O’
‘Rose of Jericho’
‘Fallout Today’
‘Save It For Later’ (The Beat cover)
‘The Song Remains the Same’ (Led Zeppelin cover)
‘Rearviewmirror’ (Pearl Jam song)
‘Isn’t It A Pity’ (George Harrison cover)
‘Porch’
‘Rockin’ in the Free World’ (Neil Young cover)

Other covers of the night included The Beat’s ‘Save It For Later’, Mono Men’s ‘Watch Outside’ and George Harrison‘s 1970 track ‘Isn’t It A Pity’, with Vedder rounding things off with Neil Young’s ‘Rockin’ in the Free World’, a longtime favourite of Vedder’s, which saw Stereophonics’ Kelly Jones and saxophonist King join him on stage.

As for Pearl Jam, they embarked on a US tour in support of their latest album, ‘Dark Matter’. The record scored a four-star review from NME last year, with Liberty Dunworth writing: “For those longing for the charismatic songwriting that first put the band on the map over three decades ago, ‘Dark Matter’ will come as a pleasant surprise.”

“Not only does it showcase Pearl Jam reclaiming the charm that first made them a force to be reckoned with back in 1991, it comes alongside some of their most impressive musicianship yet, as well as a determination to take risks after years of playing it safe.”

'One Battle After Another' Takes $8.8 Million Opening Day

‘One Battle After Another’ Takes $8.8 Million Opening Day

by jummy84 September 27, 2025
written by jummy84

Warner Bros.‘ “One Battle After Another” took $8.8 million across Friday and previews from 3,634 locations in North America. That haul includes grosses from advance fan-first screenings on Tuesday, which played premium large-format auditoriums.

The studio didn’t pinch on pennies for Paul Thomas Anderson and Leonardo DiCaprio‘s hyper-contemporary action epic, spending more than $130 million before a global marketing campaign. To the director’s credit, Anderson delivered the goods. “One Battle After Another” already has the stature of a modern classic among critics, instantly positioning itself as an awards season heavyweight. On top of that, it’s playing like a crowdpleaser, with moviegoer survey firm Cinema Score polling a superb “A” grade. Compare that the “C” grade that Anderson’s now beloved “Boogie Nights” was dealt in 1997. It’s also DiCaprio’s highest score from the service since “Titanic” landed an “A+” in that same year.

All that prestige hype matches the film’s uniquely ornate theatrical rollout, which includes Imax and other premium large-formats. There are also showings on 70mm, Imax 70mm and even four venues projecting in the long-dormant format VistaVision, which Anderson shot the film on. Each of those options comes with luxury ticket prices, boosting grosses.

For now, “One Battle” is on pace to land within pre-weekend tracking for an opening between $20 million and $25 million. Best case is glowing reviews and great buzz buoy the film’s relevance among moviegoers for one week after another. But with a light debut, “One Battle” has to string together a word-of-mouth phenomenon, plus a significant overseas draw, to turn a profit in theaters.

At least it won’t take much for the film to finish as the biggest theatrical release ever for Anderson, who showed awareness with a crack about being “box-office challenged” in an August interview at Esquire. The writer-director’s top hit ever is his 2007 critical darling “There Will Be Blood,” which finished with $40 million domestic and $76 million worldwide. For Warner Bros., the studio is coming off seven consecutive films opening above $40 million domestic — a historic first in Hollywood. “One Battle” comes as a box office heat check, with significant costs.

In a true contrast of counter-programming, Universal is opening the G-rated “Gabby’s Dollhouse: The Movie” in 3,500 locations, eyeing a second place debut after earning $4.3 million across Friday and previews. Projections are now at a $13.6 million opening, landing between pre-weekend tracking for $12 million to $15 million. The DreamWorks Animation production is looking for a theatrical hit in adapting the popular animated pre-K Netflix series “Gabby’s Dollhouse,” which has wracked up 11 seasons since debuting in 2021. The big-screen version, which blends live-action and animation elements, cost $32 million to produce. It’ll want to stick around in theaters, though it’s playing great for its audience, with an “A+” grade from Cinema Score.

Also opening this weekend, Lionsgate is bowing “The Strangers: Chapter II,” the middle entry in what is supposed to be a contained, Renny Harlin-directed trilogy for the horror property. The home invasion continuation earned $2.4 million across Friday and previews from 2,690 locations, with projections for the three-day opening now around $5.6 million. That’d be less than half of the $11.8 million debut that “The Strangers: Chapter I” earned back in May 2024.

The first installment wasn’t a hit with critics and reviews are just as bad for the follow-up, even after a producer told ScreenRant that the sequel did significant “enhancement” reshoots after the release of “Chapter I.” Audiences aren’t impressed either, with Cinema Score turning in a rough “C-” grade. Still, the film cost a light $8.5 million to produce. Lionsgate has plans to release “Chapter III” sometime down the line.

After topping domestic charts for two weekends, Sony and Crunchyroll’s “Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba Infinity Castle” is sliding to third place after earning another $1.8 million on Friday. It’s looking at a $6.8 million third weekend, down 61%. These grosses are largely a cherry on top for “Infinity Castle” after its historic fan-driven opening weekend. The epic-length film is looking to hit a $117.8 million domestic total through Sunday, currently ranking as the 15th-highest grossing North American release of 2025 — a stature that seemed unthinkable for an anime film for decades.

Warner Bros. is also vying for bronze, with “The Conjuring: Last Rites,” which cast out another $2 million on Friday, down 46% from its daily total a week ago. The New Line horror sequel looks to hit $161 million through its fourth weekend of release — a terrific result against its $55 million price tag. While “Last Rites” marketed itself as the final chapter for paranormal investigators Ed and Lorraine Warren, it’s difficult to imagine the property is finished after delivering its biggest theatrical hit ever.

Also of note, Universal’s football horror film “Him” is losing a lot of ground in its sophomore outing, plummeting hard with a projected 71% drop after bad reviews. It looks to hit a $20.9 million domestic total through its second weekend — a less than desirable result against a $27 million production budget. Sony’s “A Big Bold Beautiful Journey” is fading fast too, eyeing a $1.2 million sophomore outing after cratering in its opening. The projected 10-day domestic haul is $5.9 million for the $45 million project.
