Indeed, his fate was up in the air during the finale, the season 22 finale revealed Link survived, but sustained critical injuries after being crushed by the rubble. But despite making out alive—just barely—following another major incident at the Seattle hospital, Link’s road back to the OR isn’t necessarily a quick one.

“In terms of his recovery, his injuries are pretty extensive,” Chris told TVLine in an interview posted Oct. 9. “He wants to get back to surgery and being a surgeon, but at this point, he identifies most as being a new father. He’s got twins on the way, and he wants to be able to hold them and help Jo and be the father and husband that he wants to be.”

As the dust settles on another jaw-dropping Grey’s premiere, looking back on the more of the long-running ABC drama’s most shocking moments…

Cast, Location, Premiere Date, Trailer, and More

Hacks‘ Season 5 cast is expanding with the addition of The Summer I Turned Pretty‘s Christopher Briney, and that’s just the latest tease from the production, which has also hit up New York City.

Renewed prior to Season 4’s finale on  HBO Max in May 2025, Hacks is bringing comedian Deborah Vance (Jean Smart) and her writer Ava Daniels (Hannah Einbinder) back for more shenanigans as howrunners Lucia Aniello, Paul W. Downs, and Jen Statsky carry on the story of the iconic duo. While fans will have to wait a while before tuning into the latest episodes, there are a few details we already know about Hacks Season 5. Below, we’re breaking down everything you need to know so far, including where the story may take viewers, as well as production details, casting, and more. Stay tuned for additional details in the weeks and months ahead.

Has Hacks been renewed for Season 5?

Yes, as mentioned above, Hacks has been renewed for a second season at HBO Max. The series will continue its run with all-new episodes that will stream exclusively on the platform. The series has been a Top 5 show on HBO Max since Season 4’s debut in the United States, and a Top 10 show globally. Season 4 has been Hacks‘ best-performing season yet, with week-over-week growth, prompting the quick renewal.

Will Hacks Season 5 be the show’s last?

According to star Hannah Einbinder, who spoke to E! News on the red carpet at the 2025 Emmys, Season 5 will be the show’s last, although no announcements from HBO Max have been made at this time. According to Variety, Einbinder said, “We’re going to start [filming] next week, and knowing it’s the last season is really bittersweet. But I think it’s right, you know? It’s nice to do something as many times as it should be done. Not overstay your welcome. Rip it and do it and laugh and cry.”

What has been said about the Hacks Season 5 renewal?

TV Insider caught up with Aniello, Statsky, and Downs, timed to the renewal announcement, during which they shared their excitement. “It’s exciting,” Aniello tells us, noting, “It’s also like, ‘Here we go!’”

“Back to work,” Statsky chimes in, essentially finishing Aniello’s sentence. Despite the daunting nature of tackling a new story, this talented trio couldn’t feel more fortunate as Downs adds, “We feel so lucky that we get to do a fifth season of comedy. We’re like, it shouldn’t be this way, but we feel really fortunate because it’s so rare. We feel incredibly lucky.”

In a release shared with the press, Sarah Aubrey, head of Max Original Programming, said, “Yes! More! We congratulate Hacks‘ singularly talented cast and crew and our great partners at Universal Television.” Meanwhile, Erin Underhill, the president of Universal Television, added, “Like Deborah Vance herself, Hacks only gets bolder, sharper, and more iconic with time. We’re beyond thrilled to keep the laughter rolling with Jen, Paul, Lucia, our extraordinary cast and crew, and our partners at Max.”

Is Hacks Season 5 filming?

Filming for Season 5 of Hacks has officially begun, as of September 23, 2025, as Smart, Einbinder, and more stars hit the streets of New York City, as seen in videos captured by fans. The show’s official account ultimately confirmed the show’s start of production with a fun NYC-set photo:

What is Hacks Season 5 about?

No logline for Hacks Season 5 has been revealed yet, but after Season 4’s finale, we’re willing to bet that it will track Deborah’s return to the States after her Singapore adventure that led to a false death announcement. But don’t expect her to run toward Los Angeles as the showrunners teased to TV Insider, that Deborah will return to Vegas in Season 5, and as mentioned above, filming in New York City hints at some new horizons for the comic.

Who stars in Hacks Season 5?

Kenny Laubbacher / HBO Max

As mentioned above, Smart and Einbinder will reprise their roles as Deborah and Ava, and Downs, Megan Stalter, Carl Clemons-Hopkins, Mark Indelicato, and Rose Abdoo will play series regulars in Season 5. It has officially been revealed that The Summer I Turned Pretty‘s Christopher Briney would also join the ensemble, as revealed in the first-look photo above. Season 4 featured Dan Bucatinsky, Helen Hunt, Tony Goldwyn, Kaitlin Olson, Jane Adams, Lauren Weedman, Christopher McDonald, Poppy Liu, Lorenza Izzo, Johnny Sibilly, Paul Felder, Polly Draper, Luenell, and Aristotle Athari. Julianne Nicholson, Michaela Watkins, Bresha Webb, Robby Hoffman, Eric Balfour, Danny Jolles, Gavin Matts, Grover Whitmore III, Holmes, Jasmine Ashanti, Katy Sullivan, Matt Oberg, Sandy Honig, and Jake Shane. Stay tuned to see who makes the Season 5 cut when the more official casting news breaks.

Who makes Hacks Season 5?

Hacks is created for television by Aniello, Statsky, and Downs, who executive produce the show with Michael Schur, David Miner, Morgan Sackett, and Joe Mande. Meanwhile, Universal Television, a division of Universal Studio Group serves as the studio for the production.

Again, stay tuned for additional details as Hacks Season 5 takes shape, and let us know what you hope to see from the comedy in the comments section.

bitchy | Jennifer Lopez & Ben Affleck reunited for the NYC premiere of ‘KOTSW’

One of the biggest indicators that Jennifer Lopez and Ben Affleck were genuinely serious about making their marriage work is that they immediately got really entangled professionally. Jennifer was doing Dunkin Donuts ads, for crying out loud! And Ben’s Artists Equity produced several of Jennifer’s films, films she’s still promoting even one year after her divorce from Ben. Kiss of the Spider Woman is one of those films – Jennifer stars, Bill Condon directs, and Ben/Artists Equity executive produced it. Last night was the New York premiere, and surprise! Ben came out to support an Artists Equity film and his ex-wife.

I suspect that Jennifer knew Ben might turn out, because she looked especially cute. She wore a Harris Reed ensemble – as she arrived, she wore the dress without the “sculptural” thing at the waist, and she just paired the dress with a fur coat. Then she added the sculptural thing for the photos, to pose with Ben. On stage, she thanked Ben, saying: “Thank you so much, thank you everybody for being here tonight. Thank you, Ben, this movie wouldn’t have been made without Ben and without Artist Equity.” Ben also spoke at the premiere, saying: “My goal was to empower great artists and tell moving stories and great opportunities for these kinds of great stories to be told and to work with the best directors in the world and the best material. In this movie, we did all that and it’s an honor to be here.”

Some people say that Bennifer could go another round. God, I hope not. I hope and believe that the last time was the final round, and Jennifer got burned really badly. This is the marriage and relationship which changed her. I hope she’s smart enough not to fall for Ben’s BS anymore. But look at her face… whew. Ben really is her Achilles.

Maggie Q (Renée Ballard) in Ballard
TV & Streaming

Cast, Plot, Premiere Date, and More Details

by jummy84 October 6, 2025
written by jummy84

Looks like fans of Ballard won’t be left in the lurch after Season 1’s bombshell cliffhanger: The detective drama has officially been renewed.

On Monday, October 6, Prime Video announced that Ballard will return for a second season. Starring Maggie Q as Detective Renée Ballard and based on Michael Connelly‘s best-selling novels, the hit series has reached audiences in more than 240 countries and territories worldwide.

“We’re so grateful to have the chance to continue Ballard’s story. It’s a pleasure to dive deeper into these characters and this world, and seeing audiences resonate with their stories is incredibly rewarding, said Michael Alaimo and Kendall Sherwood, Ballard co-showrunners and executive producers. “We get to work with such a talented, dedicated team who bring this universe to life – and we’re thrilled to be able to continue doing just that. Can’t wait for everyone to see what we’ve cooked up!”

Here is everything we know so far about Season 2 of the hit Prime Video show.

Patrick Wymore/Prime

What is Ballard about?

A spinoff from Bosch: Legacy, the first season of Ballard follows Renée Ballard (Maggie Q), a former homicide detective who’s reassigned to run a tiny, underfunded cold case unit composed largely of volunteers and reserve officers after speaking out against her sexual assault and being punished for her efforts. Soon, Ballard and her team uncover a serial killer operating in the shadows of Los Angeles. As Ballard and her crew dig deeper, they encounter corruption and cover-ups within the LAPD itself.

How did Ballard Season 1 end?

In the finale, the season ended on a cliffhanger: Ballard’s attacker, Detective Robert Olivas (Ricardo Chavira), was found dead under unclear circumstances, and Ballard, despite being hailed as a hero for her work on closing the high-profile cold case, was hauled away by police as their top suspect.

Executive producer and author of the Ballard novels Michael Connelly stated: “It’s a great privilege to have my characters brought to life on screen season after season, and it’s thanks to the fans continuing to tune in that we’re able to do so. I’m especially grateful to Maggie Q for embodying Renee so perfectly, honoring the character as we take her into the next stage of her journey.”

Who stars in Ballard?

Maggie Q continues to portray the role of Detective Renée Ballard, who heads the cold case division of the LAPD. The character is also a recurring figure in Michael Connelly’s novels, including The Dark Hours, Desert Star, and The Waiting.

The show draws on the novels for her character and backstory as it creates a complicated portrait of the detective.

In addition to Q, the cast includes Courtney Taylor as Samira Parker, a former officer who returns to the force at Ballard’s request. Also on board is John Carroll Lynch as Thomas Laffont, a retired former police partner who returns to help Ballard run the cold case department.

Rounding out the cast is Rebecca Field as Colleen Hatteras, an eccentric volunteer who believes her “intuition” could help solve cases, Victoria Moroles as Martina Castro, a sharp legal intern who is eager to prove her worth, and Amy Hill as Ballard’s grandmother Tutu.

When will Season 2 premiere?

That is unknown at the time, but please check back for updates.

Is there a trailer?

Not yet! But please check back.

Bad Bunny Addresses Super Bowl Backlash During SNL Season 51 Premiere

by jummy84 October 6, 2025
written by jummy84

Bad Bunny is back on Saturday Night Live!

The three-time Grammy winner returned for his second time hosting on Saturday night, where he addressed some of the backlash surrounding him being named the 2026 Super Bowl Halftime Show headliner.

Bad Bunny poked fun at conservative criticism of him being tapped to perform at the big game, noting that everyone is excited about his performance, “even Fox News!”

“You might not know this, but I’m doing the Super Bowl Halftime Show. And I’m very happy, and I think everybody’s happy about it,” which led the crowd to erupt in applause, before he continued, “Even Fox News!”

SNL then cut to a montaged clip of pieced together segments that made out Fox News hosts saying, “Bad Bunny is my favorite musician and he should be the next president.”

“I’m really excited to be doing the Super Bowl, I know that people all around the world who love my music are also happy,” to which he then began speaking in Spanish.

“Especially all of the Latinos and Latinas in the world here in the United States who have worked to open doors,” he said in Spanish. “It’s more than a win for myself, it’s a win for all of us. Our footprints and our contribution in this country, no one will ever be able to take that away or erase it.”

He finished his monologue off by noting in English, “And, if you didn’t understand know what I just said, you have four months to learn!”

Earlier in the monologue, a clip of Jon Hamm (who Bad Bunny called Juan Jamón) dancing to his music at a show was shown. The SNL cameras then panned over to Hamm in attendance at the show.

During the cold open, Colin Jost took the stage where he portrayed U.S. Secretary of War Pete Hegseth, where he joked that the military would adhere to the highest standards set by President Donald Trump.

“Our military will now have the same rules as any good frat party,” he said. “No fat chicks. And if you’re a fat dude, god damnit, you better be funny as hell.” James Austin Johnson’s Trump then made his return, where he said he was “just here keeping my eye on SNL, making sure they don’t say anything too mean about me.”

“SNL 51, off to a rough start. 17 new cast members, and they got the ‘Update’ guy doing the cold open. Look at Colin, poor Colin. We knew they wouldn’t let him do the whole open by himself,” he joked.

Johnson’s Trump, too, very briefly touched on the controversy surrounding the Riyadh Comedy Festival, noting he was “surprised Colin’s here, I thought he’d be with his friends at the Riyadh Comedy Festival.”

Johnson’s Trump further poked fun at the brief suspension of Jimmy Kimmel Live! with a reference to his “attack dog” Brendan Carr, with Mikey Day making an appearance in the cold open as the FCC chair.

After the news of Bad Bunny being named the headlining act was revealed, Trump adviser Corey Lewandowski said ICE will be in attendance at next year’s Super Bowl. Homeland Security Secretary Kristi Noem further corroborated Lewandowski’s claims, assuring ICE agents would be “all over” the big game.

Before he was named the next Super Bowl headliner, Bad Bunny notably did not have any U.S. dates featured on his Debí Tirar Más Fotos World Tour. He told i-D Magazine this was partly due to ICE concerns.

“There were many reasons why I didn’t show up in the U.S., and none of them were out of hate — I’ve performed there many times. All of [the shows] have been successful,” Bad Bunny said. “But there was the issue of — like, fucking ICE could be outside [my concert]. And it’s something that we were talking about and very concerned about.”

Elsewhere in the season 51 premiere, EJAE, Rei Ami and Audrey Nuna, who voice characters in Netflix and Sony Animation’s hit movie KPop Demon Hunters, made a surprise appearance during a brunch-themed sketch. Their short cameo saw Bad Bunny’s character raving over the film, to which they then surprised the audience and gave their first-ever live performance of “Golden.”

Season 51 of SNL comes on the heels of a cast exodus this summer. Five cast members separated the show following its landmark 50th season, including Ego Nwodim, Heidi Gardner, Devon Walker, Michael Longfellow and Emil Wakim.

Other than Johnson’s Trump joking about season 51 featuring “17 new cast members” in the cold open, the cast shakeup was not further addressed.

Please Don’t Destroy sketches were also thrown out ahead of season 51, which formerly starred Ben Marshall, John Higgins and Martin Herlihy. With the end of the bit, Higgins left SNL, while Marshall now joins as a featured player and Herlihy remains on the show’s staff as a writer. Tommy Brennan, Jeremy Culhane, Kam Patterson and Veronika Slowikowska were also added to the cast.

Bad Bunny hosted the season 51 premiere of SNL, while Doja Cat served as the night’s musical guest, in her first appearance on the sketch comedy series.

The full slate of host and musical guests for the rest of the season has not yet been revealed, though Amy Poehler is set to host on Oct. 11 with Role Model as musical guest. Sabrina Carpenter will pull double duty in both roles on Oct. 18.

Finneas Rocks At ‘Austin City Limits’ Season Premiere

by jummy84 October 5, 2025
written by jummy84

Finneas puts the spotlight on his solo catalog during the 51st season premiere of the long-running PBS-televised concert series Austin City Limits, which airs tomorrow (Oct. 4). SPIN premieres two performances from the hour-long set, “2001” and “Starfucker,” below.

“When I grew up, I did not have the channels on TV. My family could not afford cable television, which meant I grew up on PBS,” Finneas said during the show. “I watched PBS relentlessly as a child and I still consume it now. Growing up, I watched ACL on PBS often with my parents — in the kitchen on their small, small little tv that they had above the sink so that they could watch concerts like this while they were doing the dishes.”

Finneas previously performed on Austin City Limits in 2019 with his sister, Billie Eilish. With his new side project, the Favors, the artist/producer/songwriter will be in action tomorrow as part of the unrelated Austin City Limits festival, and will also headline a show later in the evening at Stubb’s BBQ.

Austin City Limits continues this fall with performances by the Marías (Oct. 11), Charley Crockett and Waxahatchee (Oct. 25), Samara Joy (Nov. 1), a celebration of legendary local venue Antone’s (Nov. 8), Kelsea Ballerini and CAM (Nov. 15) and Jon Batiste (Nov. 22).

In addition, My Morning Jacket will be inducted into the show’s Hall of Fame by filmmaker/writer Cameron Crowe on the Oct. 18 episode. The band joins prior Hall of Fame honorees such as Willie Nelson, Stevie Ray Vaughan, Kris Kristofferson, Bonnie Raitt and Wilco.

IShowSpeed Launches ‘Speed Goes Pro!’ Series At Sports-Themed Premiere

by jummy84 October 3, 2025
written by jummy84

IShowSpeed launched his latest endeavor with grand style on Tuesday night (Sept. 30) at the Los Angeles Coliseum. The streamer premiered his new series, Speed Goes Pro!, to an intimate audience at the event as he was cheered on by his own personal squad. With family and friends also in the building, IShowSpeed expressed overwhelming gratitude for both the audience and the digital show.

After the first two episodes were screened, attendees were directed to an afterparty, celebrating the Ohio native’s on-screen accomplishments. Guests included Kim Kardashian, Justin Bieber, Jeremiah Brown, and DDG, as well as series stars Suni Lee, Randy Orton, Fred Richard, Nastia Liukin, and Ian Gunther, among others. Guests were also welcomed to participate in athletic activities such as a fun, arcade-style basketball shootout or the NFL combine-designed vertical jump.

Speed Goes Pro! follows the 20-year-old as he attempts to reach the skill level of professional athletes in various arenas. As described in a press statement, each episode features a different sport where Speed is put through a crash course by world-class trainers as well as current and former professional athletes to prepare him for an ultimate showdown with a legend in each sport. Tom Brady is featured in the first episode, and although he was unable to attend the event, he shared a special message for the streamer, which aired ahead of the screening.

With five episodes in its first season, Speed Goes Pro! is produced by OBB Pictures in partnership with DICK’S. In fact, the entire project evolved from a commercial Speed filmed with the retail company. New episodes of Speed Goes Pro! are set to drop every other Wednesday starting on Oct. 15, with the first episode out now. The series is executive produced by Michael D. Ratner, Scott Ratner, Kfir Goldberg, and Camille Maratchi for OBB Pictures, alongside Darren Watkins Jr., Mason Klein, and showrunner Eric Pankowski.

Bad Bunny, Doja Cat Team Up in Season Premiere Promo

by jummy84 October 3, 2025
written by jummy84

Bad Bunny and Doja Cat purposely don’t vibe with Chloe Fineman’s humor in the silly promo spot for this weekend’s Saturday Night Live episode.

The clip, shared by NBC on Thursday (Oct. 2), features three takes from the trio previewing what’s to come on SNL‘s season premiere on Oct. 4, when Bad Bunny will host and Doja Cat will appear as musical guest. Fineman is among the regulars on the show, though several castmates departed ahead of Season 51.

“Hi, I’m Bad Bunny, and I’ll be hosting the season premiere of SNL this week with Doja Cat,” Benito says in the first take. Fineman cuts in to quip, “Bad Bunny. Doja Cat. And I’m Chloe Salamander.”

In take two, Bad Bunny hypes up the Super Bowl — on which he’ll headline the halftime show — and shrugs off the excitement of being on SNL.

And in take three, Doja Cat puts her trust in Bad Bunny (instead of cast member Fineman) when it comes to expertise on being in front of the SNL camera. “Chloe, he’s done this before,” she says.

Following the Oct. 4 season premiere, this season’s lineup so far includes SNL veteran Amy Poehler as host with first-time musical guest Role Model on Oct. 11, and Sabrina Carpenter as host and musical guest on Oct. 18. Though it’ll mark Carpenter’s debut as host, she’s no stranger to the Studio 8H stage, having performed on Saturday Night Live in 2024 and during the SNL50: The Anniversary Special earlier this year.

Cast, Premiere Date for Western Drama Starring Gillian Anderson and Lena Headey

by jummy84 October 1, 2025
written by jummy84

Two widowed matriarchs battle to keep their families alive in Netflix’s The Abandons, a new Western drama starring Gillian Anderson and Lena Headey. The series was created by Mayans M.C.‘s Kurt Sutter, but he left the show in October 2024. Netflix shared the first photos from the season and revealed the premiere date on Wednesday, October 1.

The Abandons is set in Washington Territory in 1854. Here’s how Netflix describes the show: “The matriarchs of two very different families — one of wealth and privilege bound by blood, the other a found family of orphans and outcasts bound by love and necessity — find their fates linked by two crimes, an awful secret, a star-crossed love, and a piece of land with silver underneath. The collision echoes the American struggle of the haves and have-nots, in a place just beyond the reach of justice.”

It’s been about one year since The Abandons last got an update. Here, we’ve compiled the bevy of new information Netflix shared on October 1, as well as the first-look photos.

What is The Abandons about?

“This first chapter of The Abandons is a classic American story — the frontier, two families — both at war and in love with each other, a battle over who owns the land and who makes the rules,” executive producer Chris Keyser told Tudum. “Smack in the middle of murder and revenge and a bit of illicit romance, we get to explore questions we never seem to get away from: What makes a family? How do you stay good in a bad world? And would you change who you are and what you believe in to protect what you love? But, in this case, we do it all through the eyes of Lena Headey and Gillian Anderson, as two widowed matriarchs battling to survive. And that, as they say, is really something to watch.”

The series was filmed in Calgary.
