Neil Young has announced a 50th anniversary edition of his 1975 album Tonight’s the Night.

Due out on November 28th, the limited-edition release contains six bonus tracks, including unreleased original versions of “Lookout Joe” and “Walk On,” both recorded during the 1973 album sessions at S.I.R. in Los Angeles. In particular, “Lookout Joe” replaces the original album version on the 50th anniversary reissue.

The tracklist also contains an unreleased version of “Tonight’s The Night,” as well as bonus tracks “Everybody’s Alone,” “Raised on Robbery” (featuring Joni Mitchell,) and “Speakin’ Out” originally released in Neil Young Archives Vol. II. All six of these bonus tracks are being released on vinyl for the first time.

The reissue also includes a newly imagined take of the album’s original artwork.

As Young recently pulled his music from Amazon, calling on his fans to boycott the company and “support your community.” As such, the 50th anniversary edition of Tonight’s the Night will be available via independent record stores and Warner Records’ website.

‘Saturday Night Live’ Releases Promos for Sabrina Carpenter Episode

by jummy84 October 18, 2025
written by jummy84

Is “Sabrina and the City” the latest Sex and the City spinoff? Not quite. But it is the premise for Saturday Night Live’s first teaser for pop star Sabrina Carpenter’s upcoming episode.

The Man’s Best Friend singer, who previously appeared on the show as a musical guest, is taking on double-duty this Saturday (Oct. 18) as SNL’s host and musical guest.

In a promotional video titled, “And Just Like That…Sabrina Carpenter Is Hosting SNL,” Carpenter turns into her own version of Carrie Bradshaw. “New York is one big apple, and I’m taking my bite at Saturday Night Live,” the singer says in a classic Sex and the City voiceover to kick off the video.

Carpenter encounters several SNL castmembers, ignoring their normal questions and answering in lines that sound like they’ve been pulled from the HBO show. “Thank God, it’s Mr. Big,” she yells at one point, referencing Carrie’s longtime Sex and the City love interest, before running over to Marcello Hernández. “Oh, hey, it’s actually Marcello but I’ll take it,” he answers.

Hernández and Carpenter are certainly not strangers. On top of doing the week’s second promotional video together, Hernández gained immense popularity for a character he played on the show named Domingo, who was featured in a wedding-themed parody skit set to Carpenter’s song “Espresso.” She even joined in for a follow-up sketch earlier this year, set to a song from Wicked, a nod to fellow pop star Ariana Grande, who was in the first sketch.

In the second video released ahead of the episode, Carpenter jokes that she might need to arrest someone for being too hot — a nod to her song “Juno,” where she picks an audience member to “arrest” for that reason. Carpenter even arrested Hernández, reprising his Domingo character, at an L.A. show last year. In the promo, Hernández holds his hands out, ready to be arrested, before Carpenter picks the show’s cameraman.

Carpenter follows Bad Bunny and SNL alum Amy Poehler as hosts of season 51. Miles Teller, Nikki Glaser and Glen Powell were just announced as the show’s upcoming hosts; however, the full lineup of hosts and musical guests for this season hasn’t been revealed.

Neil Young announces 50th anniversary reissue for ‘Tonight’s The Night’

by jummy84 October 18, 2025
written by jummy84

Neil Young has announced a 50th anniversary re-release for his 1975 album ‘Tonight’s The Night’.

The limited-edition reissue will contain the full album alongside six bonus tracks, made up of unreleased alternate versions of songs from the era and a collaboration with Joni Mitchell.

The album will include a version of ‘Lookout Joe’ that was recorded at S.I.R. Studio in Los Angeles in 1973 in place of the original and a new take on the record’s title track. Also included are unreleased versions of ‘Walk On’, ‘Everybody’s Alone’ and ‘Speakin’ Out’, an early version of ‘Wonderin’’ and a collaborative version of Mitchell’s ‘Raised On Robbery’.

The reissue will be released on 2LP, clear 2LP and CD versions on November 28 and you can pre-order your copy here.

‘Tonight’s The Night’ was Young’s sixth studio album, released in June 1975. It had been recorded two years earlier but label Reprise delayed its release, reportedly due to the bleakness of the subject matter and its rough sound.

Young wrote the songs while grieving the deaths of Crazy Horse guitarist Danny Whitten and his friend Bruce Berry, and it formed the third part of his ‘Ditch Trilogy’ (after ‘Time Fades Away’ and ‘On The Beach’), recorded during Young’s deliberate retreat from fame after the success of 1972’s ‘Harvest’.

‘Tonight’s the Night’ 50th anniversary edition tracklist:

  1. ‘Tonight’s The Night’
  2. ‘Speakin’ Out’
  3. ‘World On A String’
  4. ‘Borrowed Tune’
  5. ‘Come On Baby Let’s Go Downtown’
  6. ‘Mellow My Mind’
  7. ‘Roll Another Number (For The Road)’
  8. ‘Albuquerque’
  9. ‘New Mama’
  10. ‘Lookout Joe [New 1973 version]’
  11. ‘Tired Eyes’
  12. ‘Tonight’s The Night (part II)’

Bonus tracks (from original sessions at S.I.R. Studio):

  1. ‘Walk On’
  2. ‘Wonderin’’
  3. ‘Everybody’s Alone’
  4. ‘Raised On Robbery’ [feat. Joni Mitchell]
  5. ‘Speakin’ Out Jam’
  6. ‘Tonight’s The Night (take 3)’

Elsewhere, Young recently announced he was removing his music from Amazon Music. “The time is here. FORGET AMAZON,” he wrote. “Soon my music will not be there. It is easy to buy local. Support your community. Go to the local store. Don’t go back to the big corporations who have sold out America.”

He also deactivated his Facebook and Instagram accounts over Meta’s reported “unconscionable use of chatbots with children” earlier this year.

Earlier this summer, Neil Young and The Chrome Hearts headlined Glastonbury 2025 and in a four-star review, NME described the performance as “a headline set that proves that sometimes, there’s still power to be found in an old-school approach”.

“It is, in short, the definition of no frills,” it read. “It’s testament to the power of Young’s songwriting, then, just how brilliantly it all works, how little the momentum drops.”

Young released his first studio album with the Chrome Hearts, ‘Talkin To The Trees’, in June, and shared the anti-Trump song ‘Big Crime’ last month.

Erykah Badu’s ‘The Return Of Automatic Slim’ Tour Opening Night Review

Erykah Badu’s ‘The Return Of Automatic Slim’ Tour Opening Night Review

by jummy84 October 18, 2025
written by jummy84

Thirty-six minutes or so after Westside Gunn commanded everybody with a “clean pu**y” scream, Erykah Badu arrived on stage.

A sold-out audience invaded the Hollywood Bowl on the first Friday of the month to bathe in a neo-soul soundscape under the enchanting moonlight. The affair kicked off The Return of Automatic Slim Tour, presented by the Dallas native to commemorate the 25th anniversary of her new-millennium release Mama’s Gun.

Although the show was opened by the Super Fly God himself, some attendees were clearly only seated for the headliner, side-eyeing the hyperbolic lyrics about cooking bricks and live wrestling stunts. Others were intrigued by the rap performance that showcased a consciousness different from the stream of knowledge layered in their favorite Badu tracks.

After about 35 minutes on stage, the Buffalo rapper gained new fans, satisfied the Griselda enthusiasts, and wrapped his set with gratitude for Erykah Badu, who later arrived (possibly a few minutes off-schedule but right on time).

The stage at the outdoor amphitheater went dark, signaling the start of the show. A red light centered on an elevated platform, and through a haze of smoke, the 54-year-old artist took her place. Dressed in a black hat with a red scarf underneath, her look was completed with a leather top and a billowing white skirt that maintained structure around her midsection.

A rim shot echoed, the lights turned blue, with turquoise effects that almost resembled raindrops, and the show officially began. Starting with “Penitentiary Philosophy,” the concert set out to run the entire Mama’s Gun, as the R&B singer intended the audience to listen.

For the next few tracks, she stood proudly, singing into the microphone with her signature, powerful vocals draped in syrupy mystique. A mouth full of gold reflected the spotlight as she smiled to the crowd, locking eyes with fans who sang along in awe.

As she moved into “Cleva,” which features the late Roy Ayers, it was clear that this opening night was a “you had to be there” kind of moment, even if she performed the same set at other tour dates. As the “alright” lyric repeated in the bridge, Badu transformed the Hollywood Bowl into a temporary sanctuary, interpolating Donald Lawrence and the Tri-City Singers’ “Encourage Yourself’ into the soulful track.

Drum patterns that almost sounded tribal backed up Badu’s scatting, as the song moved to the next. “ Shoutout to motherfu**king” MF DOOM!” she declared, with another nod to Alchemist, who was in attendance. An on-stage change of clothes revealed the light brown fabric that peeked through her leather was actually an accentuating dress, accessorized with a red belt.

A free verse, spoken word took fans through a different portal, where she opined on the term “black box.” With everything from sexual references to social commentary, Badu described “this black box is a crack rock” while gently caressing the area below her waist. The moment was the perfect transition to “Booty,” which had been skipped earlier.

Ticketholders experienced live renditions of “Annie Don’t Wear No Panties” and got a taste of a track featuring Westside Gunn, which will likely (well, hopefully) be featured on her upcoming collaborative Abi & Alan album with Alchemist.

The “recovering undercover over lover” returned to the spotlight to finish unloading Mama’s Gun with “In Love With You” and “Orange Moon.” During “Bag Lady,” she gave a special moment to her “son” Durand Bernarr, her longtime backup singer and Grammy-nominated solo artist.

Badu then felt the spirit move her to an audience member named Vanessa, who was wearing a “beautiful” purple attire. Announcing that she had a special message for the selected guest, she broke out into “Ain’t No Fun (If The Homies Can’t Have None)” by Snoop Dogg,  Nate Dogg, Warren G, and Kurupt, as the West Coast audience laughed and joined right in.

“Green Eyes” closed the concert, just as it closed the album, and while she did not deliver the entire 10-minute track, the standing ovation proved she brought everything the audience needed. As the stagehands began to transport instruments and equipment inside, thousands headed to their next destination, enlightened, empowered, and most importantly, entertained.

Erykah Badu’s The Return of Automatic Slim opening night was the perfect reminder of not only her career longevity, musical gifts, and charismatic charm, but also the importance of prioritizing performance as art. The five-time Grammy winner intentionally used the stage to build her own universe, where listeners could find a home planet, whether they lean towards her lush, romantic poetry or the third-eye reflections in her lyrical candor.

It might be another 20 years before she takes on another anniversary tour. If that’s the case, catch her while you can.

“Santa’s gonna slay!” Oh dang! 🎅🪓 This looks gnarly. Cineverse has revealed the main official trailer for the modern remake of horror cult classic Silent Night, Deadly Night – which is coming to disturb your holiday season this year. “In 1984, one film shocked audiences, was banned from theaters, and traumatized a generation. From the studio that brought you Terrifier 3, comes a new, and unrated, vision of the cult classic. This Christmas, spread the holiday fear.” Not for everyone! A child witnesses his parents’ murder by a man in a Santa suit. Years later, now as an adult, he dons a Santa costume himself and embarks on a violent quest for retribution against those responsible for the traumatic event in his childhood… Written & directed by Mike P. Nelson, this horror stars Rohan Campbell, Ruby Modine, Mark Acheson, David Lawrence Brown, and David Tomlinson. This freaky film is already set for release in December later in the year. It definitely looks like you have to put the kids to bed before you even consider watching it! Brutal.

Here’s the official trailer (+ poster) for Mike P. Nelson’s horror Silent Night, Deadly Night, on YouTube:

You can rewatch the brief teaser trailer for the Silent Night, Deadly Night remake right here for a first look.

A reimagining of the controversial 1984 cult horror classic (directed by Charles E. Sellier Jr) – When Billy witnesses his parents’ grisly murder on Christmas Eve at the hands of Santa, it ignites a lifelong mission to spread holiday fear. Every Christmas, he dons the jolly red suit and delivers a blood-soaked massacre to feed his twisted sense of justice. This Christmas Eve, Billy wants to know: “Have you been naughty?” 🎅 This new Silent Night, Deadly Night is both written and directed by American filmmaker Mike P. Nelson, a former sound mixer and director of the films Summer School, The Domestics, and Wrong Turn previously, plus a segment in VCR horror V/H/S/85. It’s produced by Erik Bernard, Scott Schneid, Jamie R. Thompson, Jeremy Torrie, Dennis Whitehead. Cineverse will be releasing this new Silent Night, Deadly Night update in select theaters starting on December 12th, 2025 at the end of the year. Ho ho ho. Anyone want to watch?

10 Best Night Creams for Glowing Skin 2025, Dermatologist-Approved

by jummy84 October 15, 2025
written by jummy84

Testing notes: Our editors love it, and say it’s one of their favorite skin care products. “I was hesitant to use this cream at first because the texture is on the thicker side and I have combination, oily skin, but after applying thoroughly I’m left with a gorgeous, glowy finish. It’s become a huge part of my prep routine because it really packs in hydration before doing your makeup. Trust me, you won’t even need a primer. So, although you really have to rub it in, it doesn’t feel heavy and its lightweight enough to add makeup on top,” says Glamour’s senior commerce editor, Jenifer Calle.

Best for Sensitive Skin: Dieux Instant Angel Moisturizer

Dieux Instant Angel Moisturizer

“This facial moisturizer is super hydrating while being lightweight,” says Dr. Mian, adding that it doesn’t pill on top of other serums. Plus, she says, its ingredients of fatty acids, glycerin, and ceramides make it the perfect blend for those with dry skin looking for more firmness. In addition to being great for daily use, it repairs the skin barrier over time for lasting hydration and it helps calm redness.

Testing notes: “I go for this hydrator on really cold days when my skin is looking super dull, drab, and tired. It has a ton of lipids and peptides that noticeably softens my skin every time I use it. Not to mention, I love that this is fragrance-free and gentle. I even use it on my arms and hands if I have any areas of dryness that crop up,” says Glamour’s Kilkeary.

Best for Antiaging Night Cream: Clinique Smart Clinical Repair Wrinkle Correcting Anti-Aging Cream with Peptides

This wrinkle-correcting cream is perfect for nighttime because it blends peptides, soybean seed extract and hyaluronic acid to plump and firm the skin, especially in areas that tend to sag, like around the mouth and eyes.

Testing notes: “This luscious hydrating night cream made my skin undeniably pillowy soft after a week of daily use, and left an unmistakable gleam on my cheeks. After a few days of using this cream,I was so surprised by how soft it left my skin. My wrinkles definitely looked less crepey and defined. But be forewarned, this is a cream that is on the thicker side, and sometimes it took a while to absorb, especially on one of my hot-flashy days,” says Twine.

Best for Acne-Prone Skin: InnBeauty Project Extreme Cream

InnBeauty Project Extreme Cream

If you’re looking for an antiaging night cream, this retinol-based pick contains a bio-retinol complex that helps boost skin elasticity and improve signs of aging. It absorbs easily too, so you won’t go to bed with excess residue on your face.

Testing notes: “As someone with combo skin, I tend to get dry patches around my eyebrows and cheeks, and this cream works wonders to hydrate those areas while giving me a subtle glow. I also have oily spots (on my T-zone and around my nose), and I find that this gives me just the right amount of hydration in those areas without making them look greasy. It’s fragrance-free as well, and my skin simply drinks it up, even on days when it’s feeling extra sensitive or irritated.”

Best for Day and Night: Charlotte Tilbury Charlotte’s Magic Cream

By far one of our favorite moisturizers of all time, you simply can’t go wrong with this Charlotte Tilbury moisturizer. Rebecca Marcus, MD, a board-certified dermatologist in Dallas, TX, loves it too. “Magic Cream contains hyaluronic acid to pull moisture into skin, as well as vitamins C and E, and peptides to support firmer, more youthful-looking skin,” she says.

Jennifer Aniston hesitated to join Saturday Night Live

by jummy84 October 14, 2025
written by jummy84

14 October 2025

Jennifer Aniston had a “self-righteous attitude” towards joining Saturday Night Live.

Jennifer Aniston could’ve joined the comedy show

The 56-year-old actress nearly joined the long-running sketch show before she was cast as Rachel Green in Friends, and Jennifer now admits that she was a little bit hesitant at the thought of joining the Saturday Night Live cast.

During an appearance on the Armchair Expert with Dax Shepard podcast, Jennifer shared: “I always thought I was such hot s***. The story of that is all very confusing.

“Honestly, today I’d have to ask Lorne, because I remember, I was in New York City, and I had a meeting with Lorne Michaels, and I ran into [Adam] Sandler and [David] Spade in the room right outside. And I knew Sandler forever.”

Jennifer was reluctant to join such a “male-dominated” show at the time. And ultimately, she was offered a starring role in Friends instead.

She explained: “I don’t know why I had this self-righteous attitude of ‘I don’t know if women are treated the way they should be treated on this show.’ It’s a very male-dominated [show,] I would love to be here if it was in the Gilda Radner day.

“I mean, this is the brain that semi-remembers things that are back that far. Something like that. I can’t remember, but I just remember Friends then happened.”

Jennifer previously revealed sow she reacted to the opportunity to join the hit comedy show.

The movie star told The Hollywood Reporter in 2021: “I was so young and dumb and I went into Lorne’s office and I was like, ‘I hear women are not respected on this show’. I don’t remember exactly what I said next, but it was something like, ‘I would prefer if it were like the days of Gilda Radner and Jane Curtin.’

“I mean, it was such a boys’ club back then, but who the f*** was I to be saying this to Lorne Michaels?! So yes, adorably that happened and I’ve hosted Saturday Night Live a couple of times, and I love it so much.”

Taylor Swift’s Late Night With Seth Meyers Highlights

by jummy84 October 9, 2025
written by jummy84

The opening song on Taylor Swift‘s The Life of a Showgirl references the character Ophelia from William Shakespeare‘s Hamlet, who faces a tragic fate.

According to the song’s lyrics, Taylor “might’ve drowned in the melancholy” if she hadn’t been saved by her true love.

“I heard you calling / On the megaphone,” Taylor sings. “You wanna see me all alone.”

The lyrics appear to be a nod to Travis Kelce calling Taylor out on his New Heights podcast for not meeting him at her Eras Tour, which is how their romance began.

“I swore loyalty to me, myself and I,” the lyrics continue. “Right before you lit my sky up.”

Before meeting Travis, Taylor was fresh off a breakup from Matty Healy, having declared herself one of the “independent girlies” in July 2023.

But after Travis went to her concert in Kansas City that same month, sparks began to fly.

Now, Taylor’s fiancé is even in on her Easter egg game, teasing “The Fate of Ophelia” lyrics on Instagram back in July. (Had some adventures this offseason,” he captioned pics with Taylor, adding, “Kept it [100].”)

How does that connect to Taylor’s song? Well, as the lyrics go, “You dug me out of my grave and saved my heart from the fate of Ophelia / Keep it one hundred.”

He starred in sketches throughout the evening as a sperm donor hopeful, a fan of the Netflix original film KPop Demon Hunters, and the inventor of the Spanish language, and led the SNL cast in a recreation of the ’70s Mexican sitcom El Chavo del Ocho. Joining Bad Bunny was musical guest Doja Cat, who made her Saturday Night Live debut performing “Aaahh Men!” and “Gorgeous” from her new album Vie. Check out those performances and sketches below.

During his opening monologue, Bad Bunny discussed his recent 31-show concert residency in Puerto Rico and the news that he’ll be performing the halftime show at Super Bowl LX this February. He also noted that the evening marked his fourth appearance on Saturday Night Live, joking “I think Marcello [Hernandez] is getting nervous that Lorne has a new favorite Latino.”

Bad Bunny previously hosted SNL in 2023. In November, he’s set to embark an international tour in support of his new album, Debí Tirar Más Fotos. Doja Cat’s Tour Ma Vie World Tour also kicks off that same month.
