“Not only has the scares but also a massive heart.” Indy the Dog!! 🐕 IFC Films has debuted another trailer for one of this year’s major indie horror breakouts titled Good Boy, a horror film told from the perspective of the “good boy” family dog. This is ready to hit theaters starting in early October as perfect horror season entertainment. The debut feature by filmmaker Ben Leonberg, this first premiered at the 2025 SXSW Film Festival earlier in the year. A loyal doggie named Indy moves to a rural home with his owner Todd, only to discover supernatural forces lurking in the shadows. As dark entities threaten his human companion, the brave pup must fight to protect the one he loves most. Good Boy stars Indy the Dog as Indy, with Larry Fessenden, Arielle Friedman, Shane Jensen, Anya Krawcheck, & Stuart Rudin. The reviews are pretty good, but don’t expect this to be the best horror film ever made. It’s really all about the pooch and his amazing time starring on screen in this – saving the day and fighting off ghosts. I can’t wait to watch! Enjoy.

Here’s the second trailer (+ poster) for Ben Leonberg’s horror film Good Boy, direct from IFC’s YouTube:

Good Boy Trailer

You can rewatch the first official trailer for Ben Leonberg’s Good Boy film right here for even more footage.

Our canine hero, Indy, finds himself on a new adventure with his human owner—and best friend—Todd, leaving city life for a long-vacant family home in the country. From the start, two things are abundantly clear: Indy is wary of the creepy old house, and his affection for Todd is unwavering. After moving in, Indy is immediately vexed by the empty corners, tracks an invisible presence only he can see, perceives phantasmagoric warnings from a long-dead dog, and is haunted by visions of the previous occupant’s grim death. When Todd begins succumbing to the dark forces swirling around the house, Indy must battle a malevolence intent on dragging his beloved Todd into the afterlife… Good Boy is directed by American indie genre filmmaker Ben Leonberg, making his feature directorial debut after many other short films previously. The screenplay is written by Alex Cannon and Ben Leonberg. Produced by Ben Leonberg & Kari Fischer. This first premiered at the 2025 SXSW Film Festival earlier this year. IFC Films opens Leonberg’s Good Boy film in select US theaters starting on October 3rd, 2025 this fall. Who’s ready to watch this? 🐶

“Those who want the world to change, know that they must break it.” Netflix has revealed the main official trailer for their next anime series Splinter Cell: Deathwatch, another animated take on another popular franchise. It’s ready to launch for streaming on Netflix in October this fall – right around the corner. In this first-ever adaptation of the acclaimed stealth video game Tom Clancy’s Splinter Cell, legendary secret agent Sam Fisher is drawn back in when a wounded young operative seeks out his help. It’s produced by Ubisoft, in partnership with Derek Kolstad (creator of John Wick and Nobody), Sun Creature and Fost. Tom Clancy’s Splinter Cell is originally a series of stealth action-adventure video games, the first of which was released in 2002, and their tie-in novels that were endorsed by Tom Clancy. The series follows Sam Fisher, a highly trained agent of a fictional black-ops sub-division in the NSA, the “Third Echelon”, as he confronts adversaries. Liev Schreiber voices Sam Fisher, and Kirby Howell-Baptiste voices Zinnia McKenna in this series. This is much better than the teaser trailer, packed with tons of action and fist fights and the cool green nightvision goggles. But it still lacks all the mystery & intrigue that I want from a Splinter Cell anime.

Here’s the main trailer (+ poster) for Ubisoft’s animated series Splinter Cell: Deathwatch, via YouTube:

Splinter Cell: Deathwatch Teaser

Splinter Cell: Deathwatch Teaser

You can rewatch the teaser trailer for Ubisoft’s Splinter Cell: Deathwatch series right here for the first look.

Splinter Cell follows Fisher, a black ops agent working for a US government division called the Fourth Echelon. Splinter Cell: Deathwatch is an animated adaptation of Tom Clancy’s Splinter Cell, the award-winning series of espionage video games created by Ubisoft. The first was released in 2002. A series of tie-in novels following Fisher on his missions as a black ops agent were published in the mid 2000s. Splinter Cell: Deathwatch is a series created and showrun by Hollywood action writer Derek Kolstad (creator / writer of John Wick, John Wick: Chapter 2, Nobody, Nobody 2, Die Hart). With additional writing by David Daitch, Katie J. Stone, Naomi G. Davis, Anthony Florez, Fallon O’Dowd, Matias Wulff, and Joseph Mwamba. Featuring episodes directed by Guillaume Dousse and Félicien Colmet-Daage. The series is made by Ubisoft Film & Television and animation studios Sun Creature and Fost. Executive produced by Derek Kolstad, Hélène Juguet, Hugo Revon, and Gérard Guillemot for Ubisoft. Netflix will debut Splinter Cell: Deathwatch streaming on Netflix worldwide starting October 14th, 2025 this fall. Anyone want to watch it? Who’s in?

Watch Sydney Sweeney and Amanda Seyfried unravel each other’s secrets in ‘The Housemaid’ trailer

by jummy84 September 17, 2025
written by jummy84

The trailer for The Housemaid, starring Sydney Sweeney and Amanda Seyfried, is out now – check it out below.

  • READ MORE: Sydney Sweeney doesn’t get why you’re obsessed with her: “I’m just being me”

The Paul Feig-directed psychological thriller is set for release on December 26 and is based on the 2022 novel of the same name by Freida McFadden. Sweeney plays Millie Calloway, a housemaid for a wealthy family headed by Andrew and Nina Winchester, played by Brandon Sklenar and Amanda Seyfried.

The trailer, shared by Lionsgate yesterday (September 16), begins with Millie being greeted by Nina as she arrives for an interview and being shown her room as an unsettling version of Sabrina Carpenter’s ‘Please Please Please’ plays, interspersed with an ominous scene of someone banging on a wooden door.

As Millie settles into her role with the Winchesters, the trailer takes a darker turn as she sees behind their image as the perfect family, with a series of twists in store for the housemaid. Millie is offered a lock for her door and finds a cabinet full of medicine, while we see police at the home, a disturbing dollhouse, and Nina screaming in her car.

The official synopsis reads: “The film plunges audiences into a twisted world where perfection is an illusion, and nothing is as it seems. Trying to escape her past, Millie accepts a job as a live-in housemaid for the wealthy Nina and Andrew Winchester.

“But what begins as a dream job quickly unravels into something far more dangerous — a sexy, seductive game of secrets, scandal, and power. Behind the Winchesters’ closed doors lies a world of shocking twists that will leave you guessing until the very end.”

Sweeney said that she became a fan of the novel, explaining at CinemaCon (via Variety): “I could not put [the book] down. I ended up reading all three [books in the series] in one week. There’s characters that are flawed, and they are messy.”

Feig said earlier this year, “Tension and scares and comedy are so wrapped together. It was a dream come true.”

Rebecca Sonnenshine adapted the novel, with Feig telling People that it’s a “faithful interpretation”, though with “a good number of added surprises along the way.”

Meanwhile, an HBO executive has confirmed that teen drama Euphoria – in which Sweeney plays Cassie Howard – will officially be coming back for a third season next year.

“I have a really good feeling about this, Millie!” “Me, too…” Uh oh. Lionsgate has revealed the first official trailer for a mystery thriller movie titled The Housemaid, the second feature arriving this year made by director filmmaker Paul Feig (following Another Simple Favor in the summer). Set for a release in theaters in December – as counter-programming opening opposite of Avatar: Fire and Ash. Based on the first book in the novel series of the same name by Freida McFadden. The Housemaid stars Sydney Sweeney as Millie Calloway, a young woman with a troubled past who takes on a job as a live-in housemaid for a wealthy family, however, their seemingly perfect life unravels when she discovers their household hides dark secrets beneath the surface. Also stars Amanda Seyfried, Brandon Sklenar, Michele Morrone, & Elizabeth Perkins. Yet another sneaky new “wildly entertaining” mysterious movie from director Paul Feig – expect plenty of bonkers twists & turns. Yep it looks pretty crazy! Like those 90s thrillers they don’t make anymore.

Kate Beckinsale Stars in Action Thriller Trash ‘Stolen Girl’ Full Trailer

“They need you on these jobs.” Vertical and Voltage Pictures have unveiled an official trailer for an action thriller movie titled Stolen Girl, arriving to watch later this month. Another one of these super obviously, poorly shot, entirely cliche action movies being dumped VOD soon. Though someone will inevitably say it’s a good movie anyway. To top it off, it’s directed by a TV director who has barely ever done any action or any real feature films before. Is he the only they could get to make this junk? Supposedly based on a true story, an American woman spends more than ten years tracking down her daughter who was abducted and taken to the Middle East by the child’s father. Their big mission takes them to Beirut, where they’re pulled into a treacherous web of international espionage, betrayal, and corruption. Stolen Girl stars Kate Beckinsale, Scott Eastwood, Jordan Duvigneau, Matt Craven, & Arvin Kananian. This looks as terrible as any movie can – and it looks like blatant propaganda to always keep people afraid of “others”. Avoid at all costs.

Here’s the official trailer (+ poster) for James Kent’s action thriller Stolen Girl, direct from YouTube:

Stolen Girl Action Thriller Trailer

Stolen Girl Action Thriller Trailer

Based on extraordinary real-life events, Stolen Girl follows a determined mother, Mara (Kate Beckinsale), whose world is shattered when her ex-husband, Karim, abducts their young daughter, Amina, and flees to the Middle East. Desperate to bring her child home, Mara teams up with Robeson (Scott Eastwood), an enigmatic ex-marine & child abduction specialist. Their mission leads to Beirut, where they’re pulled into a treacherous web of international espionage, betrayal, and corruption. As time runs out, Mara faces the hardest choice of her life—reclaiming her daughter or leaving her behind for her own safety. Stolen Girl is directed by British TV director / filmmaker James Kent, director of the TV movies Witchcrave, Margaret, The Thirteenth Tale, The Aftermath, La Voix Humaine, + many TV series including “The Capture”, “Fellow Travelers”, “Lost Boys & Fairies” recently. The screenplay is written by Kas Graham and Rebecca Pollock. Produced by Monika Bacardi, Andrea Iervolino, Scott Lambert, Luca Matrundola, and Frida Torresblanco. Vertical debuts Kent’s Stolen Girl movie in select US theaters + on VOD starting September 26th, 2025.

Addison Rae Stars in New Trailer for ‘Monster: The Ed Gein Story’

by jummy84 September 16, 2025
written by jummy84

Addison Rae is on her way to scream queen status. As showcased in a new trailer for Ryan Murphy’s upcoming Monster: The Ed Gein Story posted Tuesday (Sept. 16), the TikTok sensation is set to appear in her latest horror project, playing the victim of a brutal murder.

The latest installment of Murphy’s true-crime anthology series, as the title suggests, will focus on serial killer Ed Gein, who was suspected of killing women and robbing graves in the 1950s. Rae reportedly plays one of his alleged victims, teenager Evelyn Hartley, with the trailer showing a disturbing scene in which she is tied to a chair wearing nothing but her underwear while the titular character (portrayed by Charlie Hunnam) forcibly shoves her head downward.

At one point, the camera zooms in on Rae’s face, and she looks properly terrified as Hunnam lurches toward her.

Premiering Oct. 3, The Ed Gein Story will mark the third edition of Murphy’s Netflix show. Previous subjects have been Jeffrey Dahmer and Lyle and Erik Menendez.

Rae has previously tested out her horror acting chops by starring in Eli Roth’s 2021 slasher film Thanksgiving. Before that, she made her acting debut in 2021’s He’s All That.

The social media star has also been growing her music career this year, unleashing debut album Addison in June. The LP reached No. 4 on the Billboard 200. In an August Billboard cover story, Rae told senior writer Kristin Robinson about embracing new adventures, from music to acting. “I really just never give up and never quit, no matter what,” she said. “Really, what it comes back to is that I’m fearless — I’m not afraid of much. It doesn’t really take me much to try something new and go all in, and here, I went all in.”

Check out Rae in the trailer for The Ed Gein Story above.
