“Let out your monstrousness!” And embrace your uniqueness! Briarcliff Ent. has unveiled one more funny final trailer for the animated adventure comedy Stitch Head, based on the beloved graphic novel series of the same name. This animated Frankenstein riff opening in theaters at the end of October just in time for Halloween. May all the weird monsters & creatures unite! From director Steve Hudson, this is about Stitch Head, a small creature awoken by a Mad Professor in a castle to protect the professor’s other creations from the people of Grubbers Nubbin. Featuring tons of other monsters, too. “Stitch Head was the first creation to be born—and the first to be forgotten.” A whimsical, heartfelt twist on the Frankenstein legend, Stitch Head is a comedy adventure for monsters of every age. This animated comedy has the voices of Asa Butterfield as Stitch Head, with Joel Fry, Alison Steadman, Rob Brydon, Fern Brady, Tia Bannon, & Jamali Maddix. This actually looks like a good time! Frankenstein for kids! Since you probably can’t bring young ones to Guillermo del Toro’s more darker Frankenstein movie – this one instead is fun for the whole family.

Here’s the third & final trailer (+ poster) for Steve Hudson’s movie Stitch Head, direct from YouTube:

You can rewatch the teaser for Steve Hudson’s Stitch Head film right here and the full official trailer here.

High above the little town of Grubbers Nubbin, in a castle laboratory, the maddest of all mad professors brings monstrous creations to (almost) life… and then promptly forgets all about them. So, who runs the castle? Who keeps the monsters in line, so the townsfolk don’t form an angry mob? That job falls to Stitch Head – the professor’s very first creation. He does it all, unnoticed and unthanked. But when a ramshackle freak show rolls into town, its sly owner, Fulbert Freakfinder, comes knocking, offering Stitch Head fame, fortune… and maybe even love. A whimsical, heartfelt twist on the Frankenstein legend. Stitch Head is written and directed by English actor / filmmaker Steve Hudson, director of the movies Co/Ma and True North previously, plus the series “Cranford”. Co-directed by Toby Genkel. Adapted from the graphic novel series created by Guy Bass. Produced by Sonja Ewers and Mark Mertens. Briarcliff Ent. debuts the animated Stitch Head movie in theaters nationwide starting October 29th, 2025 this fall. Who’s down? Look good?

“She’s just warming up.” Uh huh, sure she is. Vertical has debuted the official trailer for a film titled Stone Cold Fox, an action thriller 80s throwback marking the feature debut of filmmaker Sophie Tabet. The film is being released in November on VOD right away, which is a sign there’s not much to be excited about with this. In this ’80s revenge story, the defiant Fox breaks out of an abusive commune in search of her family. But when the queenpin kidnaps her little sister and sends a crooked cop after her, Fox has no choice but to infiltrate the very place she escaped and take them down. The director explains: “I grew up on gritty ’80s action-thrillers, so getting to make my own audacious thrill-ride with a fearless partner like Vertical [the distributor] is a dream come true. I’m endlessly grateful to the incredible cast & crew who brought this labor of love to life.” Starring Kiernan Shipka, Kiefer Sutherland, Krysten Ritter, Mishel Prada, Karen Fukuhara. It seems way more like an SNL spoof comedy than real action thriller. Not even worth a glance.

“It feels like a puzzle right on the verge of being solved…” Music Box Films has revealed an official trailer for a documentary film titled Zodiac Killer Project, which premiered at the 2025 Sundance Film Festival earlier this year. This experimental indie creation is the latest project from filmmaker Charlie Shackleton. He explains he was working on a Zodiac Killer true crime doc, but when it fell apart he made this instead. Against the backdrop of deserted spaces, a filmmaker explores his abandoned Zodiac Killer documentary, delving into the true crime genre’s inner workings at a saturation point. “A witty and beautifully assembled deep dive into our obsession with serial killers and the stories we tell about them, Shackleton’s resuscitation of his abandoned film follows in the free-range footsteps of documentary philosophers Errol Morris, Werner Herzog, and Joshua Oppenheimer.” It’s less about the killer, more about how people adore crime stores. As one critic eloquently explains: it’s “a work of criticism as well as a work of art, it’s a sharp takedown of our culture’s obsession with true crime, identifying and skewering the genre’s most familiar tropes.” It is a must watch for all true crime fans, and for documentary fans, something unique and contemplative. Check it out.

Here’s the official trailer (+ poster) for Charlie Shackleton’s doc Zodiac Killer Project, from YouTube:

Zodiac Killer Project Doc Trailer

Zodiac Killer Project Doc Poster

Charlie Shackleton was hot on the trail of the next great American true crime documentary—a riveting account of a highway patrolman’s quixotic effort to identify and capture the infamous “Zodiac Killer”. So he devised a plan, began collecting interviews, and shot “evocative B-roll” footage of ghostly California freeways and parking lots where the killer may have once lurked. And then the project fell apart, leaving Shackleton with fragments of the unfinished film and time to ruminate on shortcuts and signifiers of the ubiquitous genre. Zodiac Killer Project emerges from the ash heap to probe and deconstruct the form with the incisive eye of a true crime connoisseur. Zodiac Killer Project is directed by acclaimed indie filmmaker Charlie Shackleton, his second doc feature after The Afterlight (2021) previously, and many other short films under the name Charlie Lyne. Produced by Catherine Bray, Anthony Ing, and Shackleton. This initially premiered at the 2025 Sundance Film Festival earlier this year. Music Box Films will debut the Zodiac Killer Project doc in select US theaters starting November 21st, 2025 this fall. For details visit their official site.

“Santa’s gonna slay!” Oh dang! 🎅🪓 This looks gnarly. Cineverse has revealed the main official trailer for the modern remake of horror cult classic Silent Night, Deadly Night – which is coming to disturb your holiday season this year. “In 1984, one film shocked audiences, was banned from theaters, and traumatized a generation. From the studio that brought you Terrifier 3, comes a new, and unrated, vision of the cult classic. This Christmas, spread the holiday fear.” Not for everyone! A child witnesses his parents’ murder by a man in a Santa suit. Years later, now as an adult, he dons a Santa costume himself and embarks on a violent quest for retribution against those responsible for the traumatic event in his childhood… Written & directed by Mike P. Nelson, this horror stars Rohan Campbell, Ruby Modine, Mark Acheson, David Lawrence Brown, and David Tomlinson. This freaky film is already set for release in December later in the year. It definitely looks like you have to put the kids to bed before you even consider watching it! Brutal.

“Spending all that time with a possible murderer doesn’t scare you?” It should! Another unsettling shocker series to watch. Netflix has debuted the main official trailer for another brand new series titled The Beast in Me, a crime thriller following a woman investigating her neighbor. Set to launch on Netflix in November. From the creators of “Homeland” comes another tricky new series. Author Aggie Wiggs, grieving her the loss of her son, finds new purpose unraveling the mystery behind neighbor Nile Sheldon’s vanished wife and his suspicious dealings. At once horrified and fascinated by this man, Aggie finds herself compulsively hunting for the truth – chasing his demons while fleeing her own – in a game of cat & mouse that might turn deadly. Surprise, surprise. The series stars Claire Danes, Matthew Rhys, Brittany Snow, & Natalie Morales. With Jonathan Banks, David Lyons, Tim Guinee, Hettienne Park, Deidre O’Connell, Aleyse Shannon, Will Brill, Kate Burton, Bill Irwin, Amir Arison, & Julie Ann Emery. “The title of the series comes from a Johnny Cash song — but it’s not as simple as it might initially seem. It really is about all of our complicity.” So he’s some kind of Dexter killer (maybe?) but there’s more explaining how we’re all complicit, right? Intriguing…

Daily Wire’s ‘Pendragon Cycle’ Fantasy Series Gets Trailer

by jummy84 October 17, 2025
written by jummy84

The Daily Wire has released a trailer for its first live-action scripted series, The Pendragon Cycle: Rise of the Merlin.

The fantasy drama, based on a series of novels by Stephen R. Lawhead, is set to premiere Jan. 22 on DailyWire+, the conservative outlet’s SVOD platform. The show, created and executive produced by Daily Wire co-founder Jeremy Boreing (who also directed some of the series), is a retelling of Arthurian legend that’s set in the Roman-dominated land that will eventually become Britain during the fourth through sixth centuries.

Watch the trailer below.

In a statement, Boreing said The Pendragon Cycle is “the culmination of a 10-year vision to create culture, not just to criticize it. Lawhead’s novels present a visceral, masculine Christianity in a world of conflict and mystery. It isn’t saccharine or clean. In short, it is very much like our world. I’m so happy to share our adaptation, and the work of our remarkable cast and crew, with the Daily Wire audience.”

The Daily Wire has produced a number of feature films (both scripted and documentary) and a couple of animated series, but The Pendragon Cycle represents the biggest swing for the company, which Boreing founded with Ben Shapiro, in the TV arena.

Tom Sharp stars as Merlin in the series. The cast also includes Rose Reid, James Arden, Finney Cassidy, Myles Clohessy, Brett Cooper, Alex Laurence Phillips, Daniel Fathers and Emree Franklin.

Boreing executive produces with Shapiro, Daily Wire CEO Caleb Robinson Dallas Sonnier of Bonfire Legend, Daniel Kresmery of Hero Squared, and Ryan Whitaker for Tirian Films. Producers are Travis Mills, Jonathan Hay, Amanda Presmyk, Jonathan Halperyn, Jerilyn Esquibel, Augusto Pelliccia, Julius Nasso and Lawhead. Whitaker and Jesse V. Johnson also directed episodes of the series.

“We should’ve gone with my idea.” Netflix has unveiled the trailer for a holiday crime comedy called Jingle Bell Heist, arriving to watch later in November in the holiday season. It’s about two thieves who become lovers who try to pull off the same heist who then run into problems with their heist and their relationship. Two down-on-their-luck hourly workers reluctantly form an alliance to rob one of London’s most illustrious stores on Christmas Eve. As they hatch their plans, the pair start to realize there are sparks between them — and they’re not from the twinkly holiday lights around jolly London town. Starring Olivia Holt as Sophia Martin, who moved to London to care fer her mom; and Connor Swindells as Nick O’Connor, a former security consultant turned phone tech. Along with Lucy Punch, Peter Serafinowicz, Poppy Drayton, Natasha Joseph, and Michael Salami. This looks like a made-for-TV riff on Bad Santa, but without the same crude humor that Billy Bob Thornton brought to that. Another Netflix watch & forget holiday special.

Here’s the official trailer (+ poster) for Michael Fimognari’s comedy Jingle Bell Heist, from YouTube:

Forced into an uneasy alliance, as secrets surface & feelings for each other deepen, Sophia & Nick put their relationship and the heist in jeopardy. Jingle Bell Heist is directed by American producer / filmmaker Michael Fimognari, director of the films To All the Boys: P.S. The screenplay is by Abby McDonald and Amy Reed; and story by Abby McDonald. Produced by Matt Kaplan; co-produced by Shannon Gibson. “My story is one about happiness – being easier to find once we realize we do not have forever to find it.” Apple TV has revealed the first official trailer for the documentary film titled Come See Me In The Good Light, made by the award-winning doc filmmaker Ryan White (also of The Case Against 8, Serena, Ask Dr. Ruth, Assassins, Good Night Oppy). This doc already won the prestigious “Festival Favorite Award” at the 2025 Sundance Film Festival earlier in the year – making it the favorite of ALL the films at the fest voted by the public. Come See Me In The Good Light is a poignant and unexpectedly funny love story about the poets Andrea Gibson and Megan Falley facing an incurable cancer diagnosis with joy, wit and an unshakable partnership. Through laughter and unwavering love, they transform pain into purpose, and mortality into a moving celebration of resilience. Sadly, Andrea Gibson passed away a few months back at age 49 of ovarian cancer, meaning this doc about her is now being released posthumously. Gibson was appointed as the Poet Laureate of Colorado in 2023. This moving film is not only about the struggles of dealing with cancer, it is also about poetry and hope and progress – and all the beauty that is found in this world thanks to real love.

This holiday season, buckle up for a holiday movie with a spin — when romance, revenge, and robbery meet under sparkling lights and tinsel. Payback for Christmas, a fresh holiday heist rom-com, teams up Olivia Holt and Connor Swindells in an uplifting yet high-octane tale against the hectic background of London on Christmas Eve.

Olivia Holt plays Sophia, a quick-witted, street-smart shopgirl who’s done playing by the book. Sick of corporate greed and desperate to escape her soul-sucking job, she targets a daring heist — a robbery of London’s most notorious department store on its busiest night of the year. But Sophia’s not the only one with a plan.

Enter Nick, played by Barbie and Sex Education’s Connor Swindells — a dashing but hapless handyman also in dire need of an economic boost. When the two burglars collide during the middle of the heist, they’re compelled into a tenuous partnership. The reluctant union soon turns into something more as sparks fly amidst stolen jewels, security cameras, and festive mayhem.

First look at ‘Jingle Bell Heist’ starring Olivia Holt and Connor Swindells.

As their scheme unfolds, secrets lurking in the shadows look to sabotage not only the job, but also their developing relationship. With time running out and trust in jeopardy, Sophia and Nick have to determine what is more important: the flawless score or the potential for real.

Directed by a soon-to-be-announced director, Payback for Christmas combines the sentimentality of a traditional Christmas romance with the excitement of a caper heist. Featuring snappy dialogue, surprising turns, and loads of holiday pizzazz, the movie is a fresh twist on the holiday movie genre.

Payback for Christmas will become the holiday movie of the season to watch — where love could be the biggest score of all.
