Renee Rapp Shares Single ‘Lucky’ From ‘Now You See Me, Now You Don’t’

by jummy84 October 30, 2025
written by jummy84

Call it magic or manifestation, but either way, Reneé Rapp is a master of mind games on her latest single, “Lucky.” The record is set to appear on the original motion picture soundtrack for Now You See Me, Now You Don’t, in theaters Nov. 14.

“I go fast, baby, I go hard/But don’t leave a scratch when I crash my car/Steppin’ on stars on the boulevard/I find it kinda funny, I get so la-la-lucky,” Rapp sings on the chorus before disappearing into the world of the film on the bridge. “Okay, got my way/It’s almost like I’m Reneé/Oh, no, where’d I go?/Now you see me, now you don’t.”

“Lucky” will ring out in theaters at the end of Now You See Me, Now You Don’t, the long-awaited third installment in the Now You See Me franchise, which began in 2013 and last returned in 2016.

Trending Stories

The single follows the arrival of Rapp’s second studio album, Bite Me, which arrived in August. “I love it so much. I worked so hard on it, and I had so much fun making it that I think the hard part is not shooting myself in the foot by getting really anxious about it,” the singer told Rolling Stone earlier this year. “I feel like I made music from places that were really scary for me, not to sound like such a pick-me. So to put it out into the world, and not know if it’s going to be received in the way that it feels for me is scary.”

In a review of the record, Rolling Stone wrote, “She spends her second album, Bite Me, enjoying what a rowdy-and-proud mess she is, for one of the year’s most delightful pop blowouts, an uproarious 33-minute celebration of sex, drugs, and rock & roll.”

Tamannaah Bhatia’s fitness coach shares 3 ways to control your evening cravings

by jummy84 October 30, 2025
written by jummy84

The urge to reach out for a snack is very tempting in the evening. These cravings can be overwhelming as one may go overboard and overeat unhealthy junk to get rid of hunger pangs. But if you are on a calorie-deficient plan or general weight loss journey, it may derail your goals.

Tamannaah Bhatia’s fitness trainer revealed how you can curb your cravings. (Picture credit: Instagram)

Addressing this common issue, Celebrity fitness coach Siddhartha Singh, who has worked with stars like Tamannaah Bhatia, shared 3 ways one can curb their evening hunger pangs.

ALSO READ: Fitness trainer reveals 5 things that made her weight loss journey easier: Walk a lot, fix sleep and more

Here are the three ways one can reduce cravings as suggested by the fitness coach:

1. Increase protein and fibre intake in nutrition

First up is to ensure your day’s nutrition is not falling short. This means you need to start by modifying your diet and adding two key essentials: protein and fibre.

The fitness coach explained about the value they bring to your life, “Number one, increase protein and fibre intake in your nutrition. Have more protein, have more fibre. This is going to keep you fuller for longer.”

2. Are you really hungry

The second point Siddhartha drew attention to was to understand the reasoning behind the cravings, and whether they are genuine or not.

“Ask yourself, are you craving because you are hungry? Or are your cravings because you are just bored or stressed? In those cases, think about standing up and walking around for ten minutes,” he said. “Even if you are in a small room, usually 99.9 per cent of the time after that ten-minute walk, you won’t be craving anything anymore.”

Recognising the difference between real hunger and emotional eating is the first step to controlling hunger pangs. You may be confusing your psychological hunger with a physiological one. As the fitness coach revealed, walking is one way to reduce the intensity of emotional hunger. Walking helps reduce stress, so after a good walk, you get better clarity.

3. Pre-planning

When you are hungry, you reach out for anything and everything nearby. But if you plan, you take control of the situation before the craving takes control of you. Often, one doesn’t think straight when they are hungry; logic and reasoning are the last things that come to mind when those hunger pangs hit hard.

Instead, the fitness coach suggested pre-planning. He explained, using his own experience as an example, “If you know, like me, that you are going to crave something at around 5:30 PM in the evening, my cravings are usually crunchy and sweet so I plan my snacks around something like a Greek Yoghurt bowl with some berries and maybe some granola in it. It’s going to give me high protein, it is going to be healthy, in my nutrition plan, and it is going to make sure my cravings are conquered.”

When you are planning ahead, you start to become more careful about what you eat, instead of impulsively scarfing down anything.

Doctor who survived stage 4 breast cancer shares 5 powerful foods that can help your body fight cancer: From berries to…

by jummy84 October 30, 2025

You’ve probably heard the phrase “you are what you eat,” but it’s more real than you think. The right foods can actually help your body ward off serious diseases. From colourful veggies to everyday kitchen staples, some ingredients are loaded with cancer-fighting compounds.

Dr Mussallem reveals that specific foods, including soy and berries, can combat cancer risks.(Pexels)

Dr Dawn Mussallem, a double board-certified physician at Mayo Clinic and a stage 4 breast cancer survivor, shared in an October 23 podcast with American author Mel Robbins the top five foods that can help your body fight cancer and promote long-term wellness. (Also read: Fortis Delhi gastroenterologist says this superfruit ‘is a blessing for your heart’ )

1. Berries

“Research on berries is so exciting, both for breast cancer prevention and for survivors,” says Dr Mussallem. “For every two servings a week, they can reduce the risk of breast cancer, and for survivors, lower the risk of dying from it by 25%.”

2. Purple sweet potatoes

“These purple sweet potatoes have about 150% more anthocyanins than berries,” she explains. “These powerful compounds help turn off tumour genes and activate tumour suppressor genes, essentially putting the brakes on cancer growth.”

3. Cruciferous vegetables (like broccoli, cauliflower, and Brussels sprouts)

“These are some of the most powerful vegetables when it comes to breast cancer,” Dr Mussallem says. “They contain an enzyme called myrosinase, which helps the body absorb their cancer-fighting nutrients more effectively. They also help transform estrogen into a form that doesn’t stimulate cell growth.”

4. Beans and other fibre-rich plant foods

“This is an amazing plant protein and you’re not just getting protein, you’re getting fibre,” she notes. “A massive study with 17 million person-years of data showed that fibre can reduce the risk of dying from any cause, heart disease, and even pancreatic cancer. Another review found that fibre can cut overall cancer risk by 22%.”

5. Soy and edamame

“There are very few foods that, if you ever got breast cancer, can actually reduce your risk of dying, and edamame is one of them,” says Dr Mussallem. “Soy is also protective for the prostate and may reduce the risk of lung cancer. The American Cancer Society’s 2022 report showed soy can lower the risk of breast cancer recurrence by 25%.”

Dr Mussallem concludes by reminding us that food truly is medicine. “All these colourful fruits and vegetables are full of phytonutrients that help the body heal. The body has such wisdom to repair itself, we just have to give it the right tools.”

According to the World Health Organisation (WHO), breast cancer is the most common cancer globally and in women worldwide, with an estimated 2.3 million new cases diagnosed in 2022. Therefore, women need to be aware of some crucial signs and symptoms, as early detection can save lives.

‘Self-examination saves lives’

Dr Tanaya, an Oxford University-trained doctor, trainee gynaecologist, and embryologist, also known as Dr Cuterus on Instagram, shared a video on October 28 where she talked about the 5 signs of breast cancer no woman should ignore.

Sharing the video, Dr Tanya wrote, “October is breast cancer awareness month. So, this month, why not promise yourself to take good care of your breasts? Every month, a week after your period, be sure to examine your boobs. Look for lumps, skin changes, discharge, or any sudden changes – If something seems wrong, see a doctor, because remember, self-breast examination saves lives.”

5 signs of breast cancer

Dr Tanya stressed that women should take the time to examine themselves, because though everyone has heard of lumps, there are other signs also that tell you about breast cancer. Furthermore, she advised women always to examine themselves after 1 week of their period.

Here are 5 signs, as per Dr Tanya, that you should be aware of regarding breast cancer.

1. No discharge from your nipples: Dr Tanya highlighted that if there is some discharge from your nipples, it could be an alarming sign, and you should be getting checked by an expert.

2. No sudden colour changes: There should not be any sudden colour changes in the skin, along with sudden redness and swelling.

3. No texture: Dr Tanya also stressed that there shouldn’t be any texture range on the skin of your breasts. In medical terms, it is known as the ‘peau d’orange’ sign, which is described as a skin texture change characterised by dimpling and thickening, resembling the skin of an orange.

4. No growth: Any new growth, lump, or any sudden changes in the nipples are alarming signs and should be checked by an expert.

5. Check your ABCs: Naming armpits, breasts, and collarbones as ABCs, Dr Tanya stressed that you should check your armpit and your collarbones for any lumps or sudden changes. “You should check your ABCs while examining yourself for breast cancer. If there are any new changes, before googling it, consult your doctor.”

Mendeecees Opens Up About Where His & Yandy Smith’s Relationship Currently Stands

On Tuesday, October 28, an episode of ‘For The Fellas’ was released via BET’s official YouTube channel. About 21 minutes into the episode, Mendeecees was asked to share an update on how things have been with Smith. Additionally, he was also asked to share if they’re “putting in the work to be in a better space.”

In response, Mendeecees explained that “every day” they are working to strengthen their relationship, their family, and their mental health, amid all the “noise.”

“We have to be mentally strong just to block the noise out because we know what’s at stake,” he explained. “And what’s at stake is really raising our kids. Me and her — we’ve known each other for so long that… I respect her. We gon’ go through our disagreements [but] I’ve learned to respect her even when I don’t like her.”

From there, Mendeecees explained that he’s not the type of person to talk negatively about his spouse online. Therefore, he has to “control” his emotions.

“Behind the scenes with me and my wife, we still just trying to figure out the next chapter. And us figuring out the next chapter between us is not important to let the world know… We can’t have that pressure. We can’t allow the pressure of the outside to dictate what we’re doing. We gotta do things at our pace, when we’re ready… we gotta be comfortable with that,” he added.

Furthermore, Mendeecees went on to explain that any decision made by him and Smith would be revealed to their kids and loved ones before it’s shared with the world.

Social Media Weighs In

Social media users slid into TSR’s comment section to share their thoughts on Mendeecees’ update on him and Yandy Smith.

Instagram user @thatgirlkeyvii wrote, “We gotta mind our business yall”

Before Mendeecees Spoke On His Relationship With Yandy Smith, She Made Headlines Revealing Her “Emotional Connection” With Someone Else

Before Mendeecees spoke on where he and Yandy Smith’s relationship currently stands, Yandy Smith had made headlines. In August, an episode of ‘Love & Hip Hop Atlanta’ was aired where Smith admitted to developing an emotional connection with a man outside of her marriage.

To note, Smith’s revelation arrived on the heels of Mendeecees making headlines after being accused earlier this year by Jasmine Bleu of cheating on Smith. Additionally, a friend of Alexis Skyy’s also made similar accusations on the heels of Mendeecees stating that “commitment” is the only factor keeping him married.

Fitness coach shares the 3 foundational principles of strength training to build lasting strength

by jummy84 October 29, 2025
written by jummy84

Strength training isn’t just about going through the motions – it’s about mastering the basics with focus and consistency. Building real, lasting strength takes time, patience, and a commitment to perfecting the foundations rather than chasing quick results.

Fitness trainer Raj Ganpath – the Founder of Slow Burn Method, the Co-founder and head coach at Quad Fitness and the author of Simple, Not Easy – has revealed three foundational principles to focus on if you want to build enduring strength.

In an Instagram video posted on October 28, the fitness coach highlights, “If you can take the time to learn the foundational movements, engage the right muscles, and build on them over the course of the next few years, you will continually get stronger inside the gym and feel stronger outside the gym.”

Foundational movements of strength training

Raj recommends learning the six foundational movements of strength training, which include – the plank, the hang, the squat, the deadlift, the overhead press, and the rope. He highlights, “The reason for focusing on these six movements is that they cover pretty much all the major joints and muscles in the body, and learning to do them will serve you well for a very long time.”

Engage the right muscles

The fitness trainer emphasises that the whole point of strength training is not to merely complete the movements for the sake of it, but to stimulate and strengthen the right muscles. He explains, “This stimulation happens when you utilise the right technique and ensure you are feeling the right muscles. Achieving this level of engagement will require a lot of practice, self-awareness, and most probably the guidance of a coach, but it is most definitely worth it.”

Build on the foundational movements

Raj emphasises building on the six foundational movements – practising and working on them over and over again, doubling down on the basics – as the key to building lasting strength, without getting distracted by quick fixes. He stresses, “If you can accomplish this, 90% of strength training is done, and everything else is just minutia.”

100-year-old Japanese chef from Jiro Dreams of Sushi documentary shares his secret to long life: ‘best medicine is…’

by jummy84 October 28, 2025
written by jummy84

Usually, in the conversation of longevity, there’s often a search for a ‘medicine’ to increase one’s lifespan and stay healthy for longer. The discourse shifts from superfoods, exercise trends, diets and so on. But what about work? It’s hardly ever counted among the longevity secrets, as usually it is perceived as the very thing that wears people down. Working is typically associated with long hours of burnout and stress.

Sushi legend Jiro Ono turned 100 years old. (Bureau of Social Welfare, Tokyo Metropolitan Government via AP)

Yet for Japan’s culinary legend Jiro Ono, known from the Jiro Dreams of Sushi 2011 documentary, work is the very thing that’s keeping him alive and thriving.

According to an AP report, published on October 27, 2025, Ono, who is now a centenarian, is still not ready to retire. Jiro Ono turned 100 years old this year on October 27, marking a major milestone. Even after a whole century, it turns out retirement isn’t anywhere on his horizon, at least for now. The report, based on government statistics, also stated that Jiro is now among Japan’s nearly 100,000.

What is Jiro’s secret to staying healthy?

The AP report included excerpts from his interaction with Tokyo Governor Yuriko Koike, who asked him the secret behind his health. To this Jiro replied, “I can no longer come to the restaurant every day … but even at 100, I try to work if possible. I believe the best medicine is to work.” His passion for his craft is evident. Even when age has slowed him, as he may not be able to show up every day, his dedication towards his passion remains unwavering. To him, sushi-making is beyond just a profession.

Jiro Ono, the world’s oldest Michelin-starred head chef and a three-time winner of the honour, is living proof of how passion and purpose can act as powerful longevity medicines.

“I plan to keep going for about five more years,” he said last month at an event of Japan’s Respect for the Aged Day, highlighting how he aims to continue working.

He admitted that his hands don’t work ‘well’, but he hasn’t given up, as he still serves sushi to special guests.

About his work

According to the AP report, Jiro is the founder of Sukiyabashi Jiro. It is a 10-seat sushi bar in the basement of a building in Tokyo’s posh Ginza district. He started training for sushi-making at age 7 at the Japanese restaurant of a local inn. He became a sushi chef when he was 25. 15 years later, he opened his own restaurant in 1965.

In 2011, Jiro Dreams of Sushi, a documentary, captured his life’s journey and dedication towards his work. It won several awards and brought his discpline for his craft to a wider, global audience.

Cancer surgeon shares what average age of breast cancer patients in India is: Shockingly, 15% cases occur in women…

by jummy84 October 28, 2025
written by jummy84

As per the World Health Organization (WHO), breast cancer caused an estimated 670 000 deaths globally in 2022, making this an important disease to be aware of. Dr Sudipto De, an oncologist is sounding the alarm: breast cancer is no longer a disease exclusive to women over 50. Also read | Oncologist shares 6 questions to ask your doctor after an early breast cancer diagnosis

Dr Sudipto De shared that genetic mutations like BRCA1 and BRCA2, family history, sedentary lifestyle, obesity, stress, and delayed childbearing are contributing factors to the breast cancer cases in India.(Pexel)

In a recent Instagram post, he shared a stark reality: the average age for breast cancer in India is 45, and cases among women in their 20s and 30s are on the rise. Dr De, who practices at Metro Heart Institute with Multispecialty, Faridabad, highlighted this in an October 27 Instagram post, writing, “Even young women in their 30s can get breast cancer. Awareness can save lives.”

Alarming breast cancer statistics

In the video he posted, Dr De discussed the occurrence of breast cancer in younger women, challenging the common association of the disease primarily with those over 50. He further explained that risk factors for this younger onset include genetic mutations like BRCA1 and BRCA2, family history, sedentary lifestyle, obesity, stress, and delaying marriage and childbearing.

According to Dr De, “Breast Cancer in young women is on the rise — even in their 20s and 30s. Nearly 15-20 percent of all cases in India occur under the age of 40. Why? Genetic causes like BRCA1 and BRCA2 mutations, family history of breast or ovarian cancer, lifestyle factors: obesity, lack of exercise, alcohol, stress, delayed childbirth or no breastfeeding.”

Know your breast cancer risk, take action

What can you do? To combat this higher risk, Dr De urged women to understand their family history, consult with doctors for genetic counseling and testing, and begin earlier screenings if necessary.

He said you should:

⦿ Be aware of your body and any new changes

⦿ If you have a family history, ask about genetic counselling

⦿ Maintain a healthy lifestyle and regular check-ups

According to Dr De, earlier detection through screening is the key to catching symptoms early and ensuring aggressive treatment that leads to favourable long-term outcomes. He concluded, “Early detection saves lives. Even aggressive cancers in young women are curable when detected early. Share this to spread awareness — someone younger than you might need to hear it.”

In the video he posted, Dr De said, “Can breast cancer happen in young people? People mostly associate breast cancer with those who are above the age of 50. But the average age of breast cancer in India is lower. It is 45. And here we are also seeing patients who are in their 30s and 20s. Around 15 to 20 percent of the cases we are seeing today are found below the age of 40.”

“But what is the good news? If you get screened sooner, your symptoms are caught very early, and your breast cancer is also detected in the early stages. Because of this, we are able to make your treatment more aggressive and can give you very good long-term results. So yes, breast cancer can happen in young people too. Know your risk, get screening done, and do not ignore any new changes,” he said.
