Hema Malini Called Shah Rukh Khan 'Very Ugly' Before Casting Him As Aamir, Salman Declined, Reveals Insider

Hema Malini Called Shah Rukh Khan ‘Very Ugly’ Before Casting Him As Aamir, Salman Declined, Reveals Insider

by jummy84 November 1, 2025
written by jummy84

In a striking revelation from Bollywood’s early 1990s days, producer and friend Viveck Vaswani recalled an unexpected moment in the career launch of Shah Rukh Khan—one that highlights both the unpredictable nature of show-business and the complex dynamics of fame.

Vaswani shared that it was actor-turned-director and star Hema Malini who offered Shah Rukh his first major film role in her directorial venture Dil Aashna Hai (1992). The story goes that Malini called Vaswani one evening and asked: “Is Shah Rukh Khan still sleeping at your place?” When he confirmed, she instructed Vaswani to bring Shah Rukh to her home at 5 pm for a meeting. Accompanied by Vaswani, an anxious Shah Rukh arrived at her residence—only to be greeted by Malini’s candid assessment of his looks: “But you’re very ugly.” The blunt remark hung in the air, yet Malini pressed on. “Why do you want him?” Vaswani asked, to which she responded simply: “Aamir Khan and Salman Khan have said no.”

Hema Malini, Shah Rukh Khan, Gauri Khan

What followed is the kind of decision-making that characterises the film industry: Malini signed Shah Rukh for a fee of Rs 50,000, telling Vaswani, “I am Hema Malini, so there are no questions.” The film would go on to feature veteran stars such as Jeetendra, Mithun Chakraborty, Dimple Kapadia and Divya Bharti—yet, despite the delay in release, it marked a significant stepping-stone for Shah Rukh.

Vaswani painted the scene: Upon their arrival in Malini’s living-room, the duo didn’t recognise the person reading a newspaper. Only when the figure looked up did they realise it was veteran actor Dharmendra, casually dressed and seated in a lungi. The image sits in bright contrast to the glitzy aura of Bollywood—reminding us that even legends inhabit informal frames when not on screen.

What makes this anecdote resonate isn’t just the bluntness—Malini’s “you’re very ugly” comment—but the layers of ambition, choice and timing it reveals. At that point, Shah Rukh was still grinding, sleeping at Vaswani’s place, auditioning and hoping for the break that would make him something more than a supporting actor. Malini’s choice to sign him—despite the dismissed sighs of others—speaks to her eye for potential, not just aesthetics.

In the broader narrative of Shah Rukh’s rise, the moment holds symbolic value. He went on from that conversation to become one of Bollywood’s most influential stars. The film may not have launched him as blockbuster hero overnight—but it opened doors. When faced with a blunt judgement about his looks, Shah Rukh later turned it into a brand: the under-dog turned king, the “ugly” boy who captured hearts worldwide. He even admitted in an earlier interview that if people called him ugly, he would lean into it and opt for roles as the villain.

Shah Rukh Khan

The episode also gives insight into how Bollywood views image, talent and risk. Aamir Khan and Salman Khan reportedly declined the role Malini offered, giving Shah Rukh the chance—akin to how timing and opportunity shift destinies. Malini’s choice reflected a readiness to invest in someone overlooked by peers. It underscores how industry gatekeepers, backed by intuition and conviction, shape stories beyond scripts.

Dharmendra’s presence in that living-room—sitting quietly, lungi and all—adds texture to the story. It suggests that even towering stars exist in understated moments when the camera isn’t rolling. Perhaps he observed the scene quietly, aware of how fortunes change in the industry’s undercurrents.

As the anecdote circulates, it invites reflection: Is “ugly” really a definitive barrier in show-business? Shah Rukh’s journey argues otherwise. It also raises questions about commentary on appearance—and how a blunt statement by a star like Hema Malini served as a catalyst rather than a barrier. The story captures the unpredictability of casting, the ruthlessness of ambition, and the willingness of certain individuals to see beyond first impressions.

Today, films, battles and marketability dominate star-making. But in 1991-92, a nude call sheet, a crude comment, and a half-hearted yes proved enough to start a phenomenon. The choice Malini made—and the response Shah Rukh delivered—shaped an era.

Their story is more than Hollywood-style origin myth; it reflects Bollywood’s messy alchemy of looks, talent, opportunity and narrative. And in that living-room moment, with “ugly” called out and destiny nonetheless invited in, you glimpse the quiet dramatic surge behind cinematic success.

Nutritionist reveals if ground flaxseeds are better: ‘Whole flaxseeds are very healthy, but…’

by jummy84 November 1, 2025
written by jummy84

Flaxseeds are one of the superfoods which have grown to become a wellness favourite lately. Whether they are added to smoothies or sprinkled over salads, this seed has earned a good reputation.

Flaxseeds are of two types: Ground and whole. (Picture credit: Shutterstock)

But are you taking the right kind of flaxseeds? This seed can be consumed in two forms: whole and ground. Whole flaxseeds come with a hard outer shell, while ground flaxseeds are usually crushed into a fine powder.

ALSO READ: Nutritionist shares what to eat before and during your periods to reduce bloating: Flaxseeds, dark chocolate and more

Nutritionist Deepshikha Jain, MSc Global Public Health Nutrition, UK and national diabetes educator, shared in an October 29 Instagram post about the key differences between these two forms of flaxseeds, and which one should you ideally consume for better nutrients.

Whole flaxseeds

According to the nutritionist, when you eat whole flaxseeds, your body cannot properly break them down.

“Flax seeds are very healthy, but when you are consuming whole flaxseed, they have a very hard outer covering, and that makes it harder for your body to digest and absorb the nutrients, making the flaxseeds just pass through your intestine and your body without getting absorbed,” she elaborated.

What does this mean? Your digestive system, because of the harder outer shell, cannot access the nutrients like omega-3 fatty acids, fibre inside. Then the flaxseed remains undigested and passes through your intestine and comes out in stool. In other words, you don’t get much of the health benefits.

Ground flaxseeds

However, as per the nutritionist, if you remove the hard coating by grinding the flaxseed, which is how ground flaxseeds are prepared, then there are better advantages.

“When you ground the flax seeds, this will actually break the hard outer covering, making the nutrients more easily available for the body, hence giving you all the health benefits,” Deepshika said, highlighting the value of ground flaxseeds and the increased nutritional absorption in the absence of the outer coating.

“So it is always better to consume ground flaxseeds over whole flaxseeds if you want to get all the health benefits,” she recommends.

So what is the takeaway? While there isn’t any risk in choosing one form over the other, the difference lies in the wasted health potential if you stick to whole flaxseeds. Because of the interference of the hard coating, the body cannot extract all the nutrients, so they go unused. Next time, before you add flaxseeds to your smoothie bowl, consider grinding them up and sprinkling them for better nutrient absorption.

Cost pressures are forcing price rises and reduced workforces, the Meetings Industry Association reveals

by jummy84 October 31, 2025
written by jummy84

Almost two-thirds (64%) of organisations have increased their prices this year to combat rising costs, according to the Meetings Industry Association (MIA).

Surveying 109 event venues, suppliers, agents and destinations, the association’s latest Insight report reveals that almost 9 in 10 (89%) organisations have seen their costs increase this year by an average of 12%. By comparison, organisations have only increased their prices by an average 7%.

In response to combating price increases, almost a third (32%) have had to delay investing further in their business, while over a quarter (26%) have been forced to reduce their workforce, putting more pressure on employees to maintain standards with fewer people. This is particularly notable in light of findings from the MIA’s People survey earlier this year, which revealed that 92% of employees experiencing stress or burnout identified high workloads as the primary cause.

As organisations battle cost increases, almost half (46%) state they are down on their revenue forecasts for 2025, with only two-thirds (66%) confident that they’ll meet their 2025 revenue target.

Providing a snapshot of current demand across the sector, the findings reveal the average lead time for bookings at 12 weeks, with almost two-thirds (65%) of respondents reporting slightly shorter lead times compared to a year ago. At the same time, 4 in 10 (40%) state that client budgets have decreased, highlighting ongoing financial pressures across the UK.

Elsewhere, the report also reveals how sustainability has slipped down the priority list in 2025, with just 22% saying credentials are frequently requested in RFPs. Though, 62% measure and report on their environmental performance, only 37% do so regularly. Almost half (49%) cited carbon measurement and reporting as the most challenging sustainability measure to implement, highlighting a clear gap between ambition and implementation.

MIA chief executive, Shonali Devereaux, said: “With booking trends, client expectations and economic pressures evolving rapidly, understanding how the sector is performing is proving invaluable in keeping organisations informed, assured and agile.

“While many organisations remain confident in meeting their revenue targets, rising costs continue to shift the goalposts for profitability and the sustainability of our industry. In response, almost two-thirds have increased their prices and over a quarter have had to reduce their workforce. This isn’t just a financial concern but demonstrates the wider economic ripple effect on areas such as employment and investment when our industry is under strain.

“Alongside our People survey from earlier this year, our Insights highlight that the sector is at a critical juncture. Rising costs and economic pressures are placing significant strain on businesses, and something has to give. As an industry, we now have an opportunity to decide how we respond, balancing the priorities of People, Profit and Planet, embracing innovation, being digitally curious, operating with openness and authenticity, and adopting strategies that strengthen resilience.”

“These insights come at a particularly significant time, as we await the measures set out in the upcoming Autumn Budget and continue our two-way discussions with the Department for Business and Trade to lobby sector-specific initiatives.”

Manipal Hospital neurologist reveals why strokes can happen even to healthy people

Manipal Hospital neurologist reveals why strokes can happen even to healthy people

by jummy84 October 31, 2025
written by jummy84

Sometimes, despite any health issues, a major medical emergency like a stroke can strike. You may be doing everything right, or at least it may appear so, but still, you are at risk. To understand more about the hidden triggers that go unnoticed, HT Lifestyle reached out to Dr Satwant Sachdeva, senior consultant- neurology, Manipal Hospital, Patiala, who revealed that there are hidden culprits that quietly raise the risk of stroke in seemingly healthy individuals.

Brain stroke symptoms in women can be subtle and different from the classic signs. Here are some key signs to watch out for. (Freepik)

ALSO READ: Neurologist shares the 3S that silently increase your stroke risk

Describing how stroke occurs, he said, “A stroke strikes when blood flow to the brain is interrupted, reducing the amounts of oxygen and other essential nutrients that the brain needs.”

Among the many risk factors, hypertension and diabetes are well established. The neurologist added, “Hypertension and diabetes are two common culprits that lead to strokes, but hidden culprits like stress, dehydration, and genetic factors may also play a significant role.”

But there are some less obvious, hidden triggers which can quietly damage the body and slowly push one towards developing a stroke without showing any clear warning signs. So while the health parameters may look fine on paper, there are some silent factors which may be working in the background, increasing your stroke risks significantly.

Hidden triggers for stroke

Stress is one of the hidden triggers of stroke. (Picture credit: Shutterstock)
Stress is one of the hidden triggers of stroke. (Picture credit: Shutterstock)

Elaborating on the lesser-known causes, Dr Sachdeva explained, “Chronic stress and insufficient sleep increase levels of cortisol, which can damage blood vessels and lead to increased blood pressure.” While you are regularly stressed, your body stays in the state of stress, producing stress hormone, cortisol, which weakens your blood vessels, making your blood pressure rise and subsequently increasing the risk of a stroke.

The next trigger is dehydration. As if you are dehydrated, the neurologist revealed that the blood gets thicker and one becomes vulnerable to clotting. “Dehydration can make blood thicker and more susceptible to clotting,” he said.

Unhealthy lifestyle habits, such as smoking, crash dieting or excessive exercise, according to Dr Sachdeva, may also cause a stroke.

5 preventive measures for stroke

Strokes can be prevented with the help of a few simple lifestyle changes. The neurologist recommended these:

  1. Stay Hydrated: Drink enough water throughout the day to maintain healthy blood flow.
  2. Monitor Heart Health: Get regular check-ups to detect conditions like atrial fibrillation early.
  3. Know Your Family History: If strokes or clotting disorders run in your family, talk to your doctor about preventive screening.
  4. Adopt a Balanced Lifestyle: Avoid smoking and crash diets; instead, focus on moderation, nutritious food, and regular physical activity.
  5. Exercise Regularly: At least 30 minutes of moderate activity most days helps keep blood vessels healthy.

One of the reasons stroke is an emergency is that the initial signs are ignored. Dr Sachedva said, “Strokes usually begin quietly and with noticeable signs that can easily be ignored. A headache, sudden weakness or fatigue may seem benign, but they can all be the body signalling an urgent note.” He drew attention to how these warning signs often overlap with common issues like stress or exhaustion. Then they are often dismissed, until it’s too late.

The Lions Founder Ali Kavoussi Reveals How to Make It as a Model and Why Confidence Is Key

The world is your runway! And few people know better than Ali Kavoussi, founder of The Lions Management, the agency behind famous faces like Alessandra Ambrosio, Candice Swanepoel, Coco Rocha, Kate Upton, Stella Maxwell, Behati Prinsloo, and Amelia Gray Hamlin.

Now, the managing partner, known for discovering and nurturing rising stars, is telling ET exactly what it takes to land covers, book shows, and break into one of fashion’s most competitive industries.

While your walk and poses might already be strong, Kavoussi believes true success begins before you step in front of the camera.

“We start with personality, story, and style and build everything from there. … Every person we represent has a point of view and we make sure the world sees it. … It’s not just about beauty. It’s presence, authenticity, and curiosity.”

From there, dedication to the craft is everything.

“One of the most surprising things about modeling is how much hard work, discipline, and self-awareness it requires. … It’s about showing up on time, being professional, understanding your brand, and building real relationships.”

And through it all, believing in yourself is key.

“Watching a model that everyone once overlooked walk the biggest runway in the world never gets old,” the businessman notes.

“I always tell the girls to fake it till you make it. Even if you’re nervous, walk in like you belong in the room, because you do,” he adds.

Just as essential: Having the right team behind you.

“It’s all about alignment. … Modeling can be overwhelming. You’re traveling constantly and signing major deals. An agent becomes your anchor. They fight for you and help you make the right long-term choices,” he shares.

This includes finding ways to make supermodels triple threats through his innovative approach with clients, whether it’s at the 2025 Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show in Brooklyn, New York, or in ALO’s Luxe Bag campaign.

“As we grow, my vision is to keep building a powerhouse that blends legacy names with the next generation of icons. … Seeing Amelia evolve into a creative force and Candice launch her brand are full circle moments,” Kavoussi says.

“My job is to protect individuality and make sure it translates from the runway, to a brand deal, to a single Instagram post. … We believe that a model can be an entrepreneur, a storyteller, and a brand,” he continues.

Of course, knowing your angles never hurts either.

“It’s an art form. The more you shoot, the better you get. … Study light and be patient with yourself. It’s a lot of trial and error. And never underestimate the value of a great photographer,” he spills.

Emraan Hashmi REVEALS Real-Life Incident Inspired Ba***ds Of Bollywood Kaho Na Kaho Scene With Raghav Juyal

It has been over a month since Aryan Khan’s Netflix series The Ba***ds of Bollywood premiered, and it continues to attract attention. An unexpected highlight has taken the internet by storm: Emraan Hashmi’s cameo with Raghav Juyal singing Kaho Na Kaho. From Instagram reels to tweets and WhatsApp groups, his brief appearance has quickly become a fan favourite.

Emraan Hashmi REVEALS Real-Life Incident Inspired Kaho Na Kaho Scene With Raghav Juyal

The most memorable moment occurs when Raghav Juyal, portraying a devoted Emraan Hashmi fan in the series, is so starstruck upon meeting his idol that he suddenly breaks into the song “Kaho Na Kaho” from Murder. Emraan himself is left speechless, watching him sing with such passion. As the scene trends across social media, Emraan shared with SCREEN how this moment reflects something from his own life, and how Aryan Khan and co-writers Manav Chauhan and Bilal Siddiqi drew inspiration from it.

“The writer is a very good friend of mine, Bilal. And I have a sneaky feeling that he’s actually taken it from one of my birthday celebrations I had with a fan, where he was also there. This was below my building, and you can see it on, it must be on YouTube also. There’s this fan who started off singing and just wouldn’t stop, and there was this embarrassed expression on my face. Bilal was there; I know he’s taken it from there only,” Emraan explained.

He also reflected on the overwhelming fan response to his cameo, especially to the viral line from the series: “Akha Bollywood ek taraf, Emraan Hashmi ek taraf” (All of Bollywood on one side, Emraan Hashmi on the other). “It’s quite amazing how it’s stuck with people, it’s unbelievable. I went to shoot in Bangkok, and over there also, obviously there’s an Indian population, a sizable one, and this is one thing that’s just stuck like a viral thing,” he added.

Currently, Emraan Hashmi is preparing for his next project with Yami Gautam, Haq, which is based on the infamous Shah Bano case.

Daboo Malik Reveals He Pushed Amaal Mallik To Participate In Bigg Boss 19

EXCLUSIVE: Daboo Malik Reveals He PUSHED Amaal Mallik To Participate In Bigg Boss 19

by jummy84 October 28, 2025
written by jummy84

Daboo Malik revealed Amaal Mallik eventually agreed to do Bigg Boss 19 after much hesitation and family discussion. Speaking to Bollywood Bubble, the music composer revealed he wanted the world to see the real artist. Daboo shared how the experience of being on Bigg Boss exposes one’s raw personality and emotions. Missing his son deeply, the music composer expressed his love, pride, and concern for Amaal’s well-being, praising his strength and resilience inside the house. Scroll down to read what he said and watch the full interview.

Daboo Malik Reveals He Pushed Amaal Mallik To Participate In Bigg Boss 19

When asked about how Amaal Mallik decided to go for Bigg Boss 19, if there was any family discussion, Daboo Malik revealed, “So iski zimmedari main leta hoon, kyunki sabse pehle toh Amaal bilkul jaana nahi chahta tha. Usko kaafi aisi cheezein offer hui bhi thi, par usne mana kar diya tha. Lekin kahin na kahin maine apne aap ko tatol ke dekha, aur main uske saath discuss kar raha tha — toh bahut saari baatein hui. Aur honestly, humne mana hi kar diya tha. Last moment tak bhi mana hi tha — hum nahi karne wale the. Jaise Salman bhai ne show pe bhi kaha tha, ‘Jab tak wo yahan mere saamne dikhte nahi, main nahi maanunga ki wo show kar raha hai.’ Kyunki wahan tak baatein chali gayi thi, aur hum genuinely nahi karna chahte the.”

He continued, “But as a father, meri yeh khwahish thi ki log Amaal ko dekhein, pehchanein aur samjhein ki yeh wahi music composer Amaal Mallik hai jisne yeh saari legacy banayi hai. Lekin mujhe yeh bhi ehsaas hua hai ki Bigg Boss itna aasan nahi hai. Because Bigg Boss mein aane ke baad aap ek aise zone mein chale jaate ho, jahan par aap apne andar ke joh thoughts hain, joh sochne ka process hai woh aap chhupa nahi sakte. Woh bahar aa hi jaate hain. Aapke ghar mein aapki apni personal understanding hoti hai. Jitne log badi-badi aur negative baatein karte hain, agar unki apni zindagi dekhi jaaye, toh unhe bhi hazaar cheezein samajh mein aayengi.”

Daboo On Negativity

The veteran music composer added, “Aur ungli uthane se pehle, logon ko apni zindagi bhi dekhni chahiye. But jab negative traits aur negative baatein samne aani shuru hoti hain, toh wahan par aapki jo organic existence hoti hai, jo real personality hoti hai — definitely it affects that. It affects your larger scheme of things. Log kehte hain ki yeh show ek musician ke liye bana hi nahi tha. Lekin jo character bahar aa raha hai, mujhe lagta hai ki jab itni saari reactions, comments aur negativity aa rahi hai, toh phir log usko itna pasand kyun kar rahe hain? Aakhir itne saare log usko like kyun kar rahe hain, aur kyun keh rahe hain ki ‘Bhaiya, kuch bhi ho, lekin baat toh hai?’ Toh kuch toh chal raha hai — shayad koi aisa angle hai jiske wajah se log usko promote kar rahe hain.”

Daboo Malik On Amaal Mallik’s Game Plan

When asked about Amaal’s game in Bigg Boss 19, Daboo said, “Mujhe lagta hai ki game mein aap hoshiyari dikhaiye, apna point of view rakhiye, ladiye — jo bhi karna hai, woh sab logon ke liye hona chahiye. Bas ek cheez hoti hai shayad, jo under the belt baatein karna, ya koi aisi baat karna jiska social level pe koi relevance nahi ho usse I think bachna chahiye. Maine Weekend Ka Vaar pe usko jaake ye baat batayi bhi thi. Toh mujhe lagta hai wo kahin na kahin us cheez ko analyse kar raha hoga.”

He continued, “Lekin koi maanega nahi, kyunki mere bolne ke bawajood bhi 1 lakh comments aa jaayenge us episode pe, jahan log apne-apne point of view rakhenge aur direct gaaliyaan bhi dete hain log. Toh usko toh koi rok nahi sakta. But is khel ko samajhna itna aasan nahi hai. Maine abhi research karke kaafi saari purani videos dekhi hain. Mujhe lagta hai 19 saal mein maine kabhi itna closely ye show nahi dekha tha.”

Malik added, “Aur na hi humare performance ya DNA mein kabhi tha ki hum is show ko watch karein. Lekin dekhne se ye samajh aaya ki pichle seasons mein bahut badi-badi cheezein ho chuki hain. Toh mujhe lagta hai iss season mein shayad utna kuch hua nahi hai. Haan, lekin log Bigg Boss 19 ko pyaar kar rahe hain. Agar aisa nahi hota toh itna bada hungama hota bhi nahi. Toh, I think log reach out kar rahe hain, analyse aur reanalyse kar rahe hain. Sabki apni-apni opinions hain. Main dekh raha hoon itne saare log baat kar rahe hain, itni saari interviews ho rahi hain.”

Daboo Misses Music Sessions With Amaal

The music composer admitted that he misses Amaal. He said, “Aur main toh apne bacche se bas yehi kehna chahta hoon, ‘Beta, kyun mujhse door hai? Jaldi aa jaa.’ That’s it. I really miss him — humare morning sessions aur musical sessions mujhe bahut yaad aate hain. Mujhe nahi pata tha ki ye dooriyan mujhe itna emotional kar dengi. And I wish him good health, good luck. He has faced challenges — jaise aap dekhte hain, wo nose strip pehenta hai, uska breathing equipment hai. Uske bawajood wo wahan hai, lad raha hai.”

Concluding, he said, “Aur wo jaanta hai ki uske father bahut emotional ho gaye honge bahar, aur unke against logon ne ungliyan bhi uthayi hongi. Woh samajhta hai us cheez ko. Aur usko pata hai ki uska father bahut, bahut emotional hai. But I just want to say, ‘Son, don’t worry. I’ve learnt and understood how this entire world operates. Tu bas healthy reh, aur mehnat karta reh. That’s it.’”

About Daboo-Amaal

Daboo Malik and Amaal Mallik share a father-son bond, with Amaal being the elder of Daboo’s two sons. Recently, their relationship has faced tension after Amaal openly spoke about feeling underappreciated by his parents. In response, Daboo expressed regret and took accountability for past shortcomings. Their emotional reconciliation moments, seen during Amaal’s stint on Bigg Boss 19. Are you walking the right way? Study reveals the best pace for your daily walks

You may be walking wrong, even if you hit 10,000 steps daily. The pace you set is just as important as how many steps you take.

Hitting the daily 10k is regarded as a bare minimum for fitness and good health to ensure you avoid a sedentary lifestyle. But are you doing your bare minimum right? A study published in Annals of Internal Medicine on October 28, 2025, revealed that how you take your steps matters just as much. And by this, it means the pace you set as you are walking is as important as the total number of steps you take. So, don’t fret if you are unable to reach the designated 10k step count and instead focus on improving the pace.

Know which pace is right for you. (Picture credit: Shutterstock)

What should be the ideal pace?

As per the research, you benefit from your daily walks more if you go for longer, continuous stretches, instead of shorter, interrupted bouts. The researchers examined the participants and found that those who walked for 15 minutes or more at a stretch had a much lower risk of heart disease and early death. Those who walked 15 minutes or more continuously without stopping had just 0.8 per cent deaths and 4.39 per cent chances of heart disease. This is in contrast to those whose continuous stretches of walking lasted only 5 minutes or less, 4.36 per cent of early deaths, while 13.03 per cent developed heart disease.

What does this mean?

This means the longer you walk, the healthier your heart becomes. And it’s not just about hitting the 10,000 step mark; what really matters is how you choose to walk. Make sure your pace is continuous and not constantly interrupted by breaks or pauses. Even those who are relatively sedentary, walking fewer than 5,000 steps a day, can still gain heart health benefits if they walk for longer stretches at a time.

In other words, your daily walk shouldn’t be a slow walk at a leisurely pace, like a stroll in the garden. To truly help your heart, aim for at least a steady 10-15 continuous pace without stopping at all.

Daboo Malik opened up about his son Amaal Mallik’s rumoured love angle with co-contestant Tanya Mittal inside Bigg Boss 19. In an exclusive chat with Bollywood Bubble, the music composer candidly admitted his fondness for Tanya, calling her “special” and “a rare discovery” on the show. Daboo emphasised that their on-screen chemistry seemed genuine, not strategic. He revealed he would love to meet all contestants post-show, especially Tanya, whom he finds delightful.

Daboo Malik REACTS To Amaal Mallik-Tanya Mittal’s Love Angle

When asked about Amaal Mallik’s love angle shown with Tanya Mittal, Daboo Malik said, “I love Tanya Mittal. I love her. Toh ab mujhe again yeh mat poochho ki wo game khel rahi hai ya political hai ya jo bhi hai, lekin jo bhi wo personality hai, mujhe toh bahut acchi lagti hai. Main toh pehle bhi keh chuka hoon, hamesha se kehta hoon, she’s special.”

Continuing, he said, “Mujhe lagta hai dono dost hain. I don’t think Amaal woh aisa character hai jaisa log soch rahe hain. Logon ne notice kiya ya nahi, pata nahi, lekin dekhiye, aaj us show ke andar jahan tak ladaiyaan, jhagde sab kuch hain, wo sab dikh raha hai. Lekin Amaal dekho kitna suljha hua hai in terms of his relationships with women, aur jis tarah se woh apna interaction karta hai, I think that’s admirable. Yahan to do minute mein log gale milna shuru ho jaate hain aur kahaniyaan shuru ho jaati hain, but I think he’s beautiful. Amaal is very nice in his relationships; in terms of personal equations, he’s very interesting to see.”

Daboo On Tanya Mittal

Speaking more about Tanya, Daboo said, “But again, Tanya Mittal is a rare discovery on the show, I think. Socho yaar, main toh believe karta hoon — sab kuch sahi. Main genuinely believe karta hoon. Aur mere liye toh yeh ek fan moment ban gaya hai. Ab log mere peeche pad jayenge, lekin agar kisi ko specially milna chahunga show ke baad, aur hello kehna chahunga, toh I would definitely like to say, ‘Hello, Tanya Mittal, how are you?’”

Who Is Daboo’s Favourite In Bigg Boss 19?

When asked who is he favourite contestant in Bigg Boss 19 is and whom he would like to meet, the music composer said, “I would like to meet everybody. See, I love… ab kya bataun, kya hi bataun. Mujhe toh aisa lagta hai hum sab parents hain, sab hum bahar hain. Hamare saare bachche andar hain. To hum sab parents apne-apne bachchon ko apni nazar se dekh rahe hain, sab apne positive aur negative points observe kar rahe hain. So, I think Ashnoor is also so cute, and everybody is nice. Bas ab sabka naam nahi le sakta, but mujhe sab pasand hain.”

About Amaal-Tanya

Rumours of a romance between Amaal Mallik and Tanya Mittal sparked during their stint on Bigg Boss 19. Their close friendship and emotional moments led fans to “ship” them as #AmaNya. Despite their visible bond, Amaal clarified that he wasn’t seeking a love angle, revealing he had feelings for someone outside the show. While housemates hinted at Tanya’s affection toward him, Amaal denied any mutual romantic involvement. By late October 2025, their friendship collapsed after Amaal accused Tanya of being fake..
