Neil Young Officially Releases Donald Trump Takedown “Big Crime”

by jummy84 September 4, 2025
written by jummy84

As conspiracy theories swirl around his current health , Donald Trump hasn’t exactly had the best couple of days. Well, Neil Young is about to make it just a little bit worse as he officially releases his latest protest banger, “Big Crime,” to streaming services everywhere.

If you recall, Young and his band Chrome Hearts debuted the song in late August during their soundcheck at Chicago’s Huntington Bank Pavilion. (The show featured something of a “protest medley,” as “Big Crime” was slotted alongside songs like “Be the Rain,” “Southern Man,” “Ohio,” and “Sun Green.”) Check out the music video below, which is a bare-bones performance piece that captures as much ’60s-era defiance as that same era’s robust psychedelic vibes. “Big Crime’ is also available to download via the Neil Young Archives.

The stomping anthem calls to “clean the White House out” and takes direct aim at the Trump administration’s takeover of Washington, DC’s law enforcement: “Don’t want soldiers on our streets/ There’s big crime in DC at the White House,” Young sings.

In the arsenal of Young’s many potent protest jams, “Big Crime” feels like a proper standout. Admittedly, the lyrics (written out below) aren’t as verbose and mighty as, say, “Rockin’ in the Free World.” However, when you pair “Big Crime” with other recent takedowns like “Let’s Roll Again” and “If You’re a Fascist, Get a Tesla,” we see that Young is trading in some of that wit and nuance for a directness that the MAGA folk need to really get the message.

If you want to potentially stick it to Trump alongside the Canadian crooner, Young has a handful of dates for September. Grab your tickets here.

Neil Young 2025 Tour Dates:
09/04 – Woodinville, Washington @ Chateau Ste. Michelle Winery
09/06 – Burnaby, Canada @ Deer Lake Park
09/10 – Bend, Oregon @ Hayden Homes Amphitheater
09/12 – Mountain View, California @ Shoreline Amphitheatre
09/15-16 – Los Angeles, California @ Hollywood Bowl
09/20 – Minneapolis, Minnesota @ Huntington Bank Stadium (Farm Aid 40)

“Big Crime” Lyrics (Emphasis by artist):

No more great again
No – no more great again
There’s big crime in DC at THE White House

Don’t need no fascist rules
Don’t want no fascist schools
Don’t want soldiers on our streets
There’s big crime in DC at THE White House
There’s big crime in DC at THE White House

Got to get the fascists out
got to Clean the white house out
Don’t want soldiers on our streets
There’s big crime in DC at THE White House
There’s big crime in DC at THE White House

No more great again
No – no more great again

There’s big crime in DC at THE White House

No more money to the fascists

Netflix New Releases: September 2025

by jummy84 September 2, 2025
written by jummy84

The concluding part of season two of Wednesday; the story of Charlie Sheen’s redemption; a clash between the two greatest super middleweights in the world; an A-list crime drama starring Jude Law and Jason Bateman; a lavish period drama from the creator of Peaky Blinders; and the third season of one of the most talked-about Japanese sci-fi shows are among the highlights of the new film and TV projects hitting Netflix in September.

Starting the month off strong is part two of season two of Wednesday, that hits Netflix on Sept. 3. There’s no need to introduce this absolute monster hit for the streamer, as seemingly everyone is watching — the first half of Wednesday season two delivered 50 million views worldwide, the most views for an English-language show’s opening week on the streamer since season one of Wednesday. Part two kicks off with “Hide and Woe Seek,” the 13th episode in total of the series, and we pick up the action after our titular heroine was unceremoniously defenestrated by Tyler.

On Sept. 10, Netflix debuts a Charlie Sheen documentary that is sure to dominate the discourse online. The two-parter aka Charlie Sheen recounts the once-troubled tabloid regular’s life and career, from the professional highs of a respected film and TV career, to the lows of the “tiger blood” public meltdown era, and finally the path to sobriety and the semblance of normalcy. The talking heads involved include ex-wife Denise Richards, Heidi Fleiss, Jon Cryer, Sean Penn, Ramon Estevez, Brooke Mueller, and Chris Tucker. The doc comes from Andrew Renzi, who directed Netflix’s docuseries Pepsi, Where’s My Jet?

Live sports is very much a regular thing on Netflix now, and this month’s boxing main event is the hotly anticipated fight between Mexico’s Canelo “Cinnamon” Álvarez and American Terence “Bud” Crawford. Streaming live from the Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas on Sept. 13, the fight is dubbed “Once in a Lifetime” and sees the two greatest super middleweights fighting today for the WBA (Super), WBC, IBF, WBO and The Ring undisputed super middleweight titles.

Netflix’s big crime drama for this month is the starry Black Rabbit, which stars Jason Bateman and Jude Law as the leads and debuts Sept. 18. The show tells the story of a pair of estranged siblings who reconnect when the troubled brother (Bateman) brings the chaos that follows him and threatens the other brother’s successful nightspot. Written by Zach Baylin, the scribe behind Justin Kurzel’s excellent Law-starring feature The Order, and co-writer of the less excellent reboot of The Crow, the series also stars Cleopatra Coleman, Amaka Okafor, Sope Dirisu, Dagmara Domińczyk, Chris Coy, Abbey Lee, Odessa Young and Oscar-winner Troy Kotsur.

Sept. 25 sees the launch of House of Guinness, a lavish new British period drama from Netflix. Hailing from Peaky Blinders creator Steven Knight, House of Guinness goes inside the drama and heartache of the Guinness brewing family. The action centers on the Irish and New York wings of the family around the 19th century and concerns itself with the fate of the four children of Sir Benjamin Guinness, the man who really expanded the family’s wealth and business empire. Expect wondrous sets and costumes, as well as classically trained actors reallying earning their money. The series stars Louis Partridge as Edward Guinness, Anthony Boyle as Arthur Guinness, Emily Fairn as Anne Guinness and Fionn O’Shea as Benjamin Guinness and the cast also includes talented thesps David Wilmot, James Norton, Jack Gleeson, Niamh McCormack, Seamus O’Hara, Dervla Kirwan, Michael McElhatton, Danielle Galligan, Hilda Fay and Cassian Bilton.

This month’s international gem on Netflix is the eagerly anticipated third season of Japanese sci-fi drama series Alice in Borderland, which also launches Sept. 25. Based on Haro Aso’s manga series of the same name, the series tells the story of two young people trapped in an empty parallel version of Tokyo, where they have to survive by competing in increasingly dangerous games. That brief description is not really doing the show justice, but strong critical praise, and word-of-mouth, has seen Alice in Borderland become a sleeper hit for Netflix. The series was co-written and directed by Shinsuke Sato and stars Kento Yamazaki and Tao Tsuchiya as the leads. Well worth a watch if you’re interested in the survival genre or cleverly made dramas.

Movies added to Netflix in September include 10 Things I Hate About You, Idiocracy, Sweet Home Alabama, 8 Mile, The Amazing Spider-Man, The Amazing Spider-Man 2, Billy Madison, The Boy Next Door, Boyz n the Hood, Bram Stoker’s Dracula, Bridesmaids, Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, Chicken Run, Dennis the Menace, E.T. the Extra-Terrestrial, Edge of Tomorrow, Escape Room, Good Advice, Hot Shots!, Hot Shots! Calendar of New Movie Releases

by jummy84 August 31, 2025
written by jummy84

Looking for new family movies to watch? This Billboard Family calendar is a roundup of 2025 kid and family movie releases that should be appropriate for most ages. To help people find picks that the entire family can enjoy together, only rated PG movies — or those that are expected to be rated PG — are included on the list.

Plenty of family films open in 2025. Winter and spring highlights for kids included January’s Paddington in Peru, the third installment of the hit movie series starring the sweet children’s literature character Paddington Bear, and the March release of Disney’s Snow White, the live-action version of Walt Disney Productions’ 1937 animated classic, starring Rachel Zegler.

Summer brought theatrical releases such as June’s Elio, a Pixar original described as a “comedic misadventure” that’s about an 11-year-old alien-and-space fanatic who’s transported to an “interplanetary paradise that is home to intelligent life from galaxies far and wide,” and August’s Freakier Friday, with stars Jamie Lee Curtis and Lindsay Lohan reuniting in a sequel to the 2003 family comedy that had the mother-daughter duo swapping bodies.

Looking ahead to fall 2025 in the kid and family movie space, part two of Universal’s Wicked, titled Wicked: For Good, arrives in theaters in late November — a month that also packs in Disney’s Zootopia 2 and Netflix’s In Your Dreams as the holiday season begins.

Among the most anticipated 2026 animated movie releases are Super Mario World (April 2026) and Toy Story 5 (June 2026). Family movies that do not yet have a release date, but are expected in 2026, include stop-motion dark fantasy Wildwood from Laika, the studio behind 2009’s Coraline; the opening for this film will be updated on the calendar once announced.

Paramore’s Hayley Williams Officially Releases New Album Ego Death at a Bachelorette Party: Listen

by jummy84 August 28, 2025
written by jummy84

Hayley Williams of Paramore has released a new solo album comprised of the 17 tracks shared earlier this summer and the new bonus song “Parachute.” Ego Death at a Bachelorette Party is out now on streaming services, with physical releases arriving on November 7 via Post Atlantic—Williams’ own label, started after her 20-year contract with Atlantic ended—and distributed by Secretly Distribution. Listen to the new album below.

Since granting the title track with a music video, Williams has also shared a visual for “Glum,” directed by AJ Gibboney and Zac Farro, which you can watch below. Williams and Daniel James wrote, played, and recorded most instruments on Ego Death at a Bachelorette Party, with additional help longtime collaborators Brian Robert Jones and Joey Howard. Jim-E Stack also contributed to “True Believer.”

Back in 2020, Williams made her solo debut with the full-length album Petals for Armor. She followed it up with the three-track Petals for Armor: Self-Serenades EP that same year and Flowers for Vases / Descansos in 2021. She described the latter LP as “a prequel, or some sort of detour between parts 1 and 2 of Petals.” Afterward, Paramore wrote and released their fifth studio album as a band, This Is Why, in 2023.

Pawan Kalyan’s Hari Hara Veera Mallu Releases on OTT

by jummy84 August 20, 2025
written by jummy84

The big-budget period drama, Hari Hara Veera Mallu, starring Pawan Kalyan, is set to release on OTT shortly after its theatrical release. Directed by Krish and Jyothi Krisna, the film also features Bobby Deol and Nidhhi Agerwal. Although it was released in theatres on July 24th with huge expectations, the film ultimately got a mixed response from both viewers and critics.

It is a common practice in Telugu cinema that films with a shorter theatrical run are quickly made available on digital platforms. In the same way, Hari Hara Veera Mallu is poised to begin streaming online within a month of its theatrical release.

The makers officially announced on the film’s X account that the historical epic will be available on Prime Video starting today, August 20th. The post read, “A tale of rebellion, rage and righteousness. The storm that started in theatres now takes over your screens.” The movie was released at midnight, and the announcement was made only a few hours before it became available on OTT platforms.

A tale of rebellion, rage and righteousness ⚔️🔥

The storm that started in theatres now takes over your screens ✊🏽

Watch the saga of #HariHaraVeeraMallu Sword vs Spirit unfold from AUGUST 20 only on @PrimeVideoIN 🦅

— Hari Hara Veera Mallu (@HHVMFilm) August 19, 2025

Although fans were pleased with the quick release, some felt that it was somewhat rushed, considering the film’s extensive scope. One fan mentioned that the movie might have benefited from a longer theatrical run to maintain its magic. On the other hand, others expressed their hope that the digital version would address the subpar visual effects and editing issues that received considerable criticism during its theatrical release.

Hari Hara Veera Mallu generated a huge buzz around the time of its release, particularly as it marked Pawan Kalyan’s first film after assuming the role of Deputy Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh. In contrast to his usual practice of avoiding film promotions, the actor actively participated in promotional events throughout the country. Despite the anticipation, the film disappointed many due to its weak narrative and underwhelming visual effects.

The movie narrates the story of Veera Mallu, an outlaw played by Pawan Kalyan, who goes on a daring mission to steal the legendary Kohinoor diamond from Mughal emperor Aurangzeb, played by Bobby Deol. Nidhhi Agerwal plays the female lead in this action-packed film.
