Lady Gaga is returning to the MTV Video Music Awards stage.

On Saturday (Aug. 30), MTV announced that the 39-year-old pop superstar will perform at the 2025 VMAs, airing live from New York’s UBS Arena on Sept. 7 at 8 p.m. ET/5 p.m. PT. The show will be hosted by LL Cool J.

“Need all of my fellow Little Monsters to COME TO THE FRONT! Why, you ask?! Oh, because MOTHER MONSTER HERSELF IS PERFORMING AT THE 2025 #VMAs!!!!” MTV posted on X.

Gaga joins an already stacked lineup of performers, including Jelly Roll, Doja Cat, Post Malone, Tate McRae, Mariah Carey, Sabrina Carpenter and J Balvin.

This will mark Gaga’s first VMAs performance since 2020, when she took home multiple trophies, including artist of the year and song of the year for “Rain on Me.”

She’s leading the pack at this year’s awards with 12 nominations, followed closely by her “Die With a Smile” collaborator Bruno Mars with 11. Other top contenders include Kendrick Lamar (10), ROSÉ and Sabrina Carpenter (eight each), Ariana Grande and The Weeknd (seven each) and Billie Eilish (six).

In the lead-up to the show, Gaga has been teasing her next single “Dead Dance,” which is set to debut Sept. 3. The track will be featured in Netflix’s Wednesday series, starring Jenna Ortega. Gaga is also slated to make a surprise cameo in the show.

“Dead Dance” will be Gaga’s first new release since her Mayhem album, which dropped in March and debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard 200. She’s currently promoting the set on her Mayhem Ball tour.

This year’s VMAs will be the first to air on CBS, while also simulcasting on MTV and streaming live on Paramount+ in the U.S.

Lollapalooza India’s official Instagram page shared the lineup today, much to the excitement of the fans. This will also mark Linkin Park’s first-ever performance in India. The concert is part of their major comeback tour. The group returned to the stage in 2024, seven years after the tragic passing of frontman Chester Bennington in 2017. This new chapter of the band features a refreshed lineup with Emily Armstrong on vocals, Colin Brittain on drums, and Alex Federer on live guitar, joining original members Mike Shinoda, Brad Delson, Joe Hahn, Dave Phoenix Farrell, and Rob Bourdon.

Pandit Hariprasad Chaurasia on writer Taslima Nasreen’s X post: No one forced me to perform, listeners motivate me

Padma Vibhushan Pandit Hariprasad Chaurasia recently performed at Delhi’s Kamani Auditorium and writer Taslima wrote on X: He can no longer truly play. Read on

Till when should an artiste be allowed to play live on stage? In a world where sports fans often butt in pronouncing the retirement of athletes, now the discussion has shifted to deciding the stage life of classical artistes it seems.

Writer Taslima Nasreen had expressed her concern for Pandit Hariprasad Chaurasia’s age during his recent live performance. (Photo: X)

What happened?

Writer-physician Taslima Nasreen recently attended the Amar Jyoti 2025 event at Delhi’s Kamani Auditorium, where legendary flautist Pandit Hariprasad Chaurasia performed live. But, witnessing how age has caught up with the senior artiste, Taslima took to X and wrote a long post sharing her sentiment: “He can no longer truly play. His hands tremble; the flute will not stay steady…”

What is the artiste’s response?

The classical artiste, in question here, has however responded to the writer’s post saying, “Hum log kisi ke force ko nahi sunte. Humara jo dil kehta hai, hum karte hain. Mai apne dil se perform karta hun, jo humari ichha karti hai. Woh prem hai, achha vyahar hai (logon ka). Log kuchh kehte hain toh woh bhi baja deta hoon. It’s not that I’m rigid and will only play one thing.”

“Giving joy to others, I enjoy more,” adds the 87-year-old, refuting any claims that he was forced to play live for an audience at such a senior age. In fact, he feels that “The listeners give me encouragement and keep me motivated. Also, what makes me feel full of life is when I listen to good music.”

What has stirred the X debate?

Taslima’s post left X users at loggerheads as several feel that the artiste was actually coerced into agreeing to perform live at such a senior age. Whereas the other side feels that besides the artiste no one else should be deciding till an artiste’s stage life. One user wrote: “Pretty shameful!!! Not sure why he agreed…” whereas another questioned Taslima’s intent commenting: “Why post the video? Surely not flattering.”

Linkin Park to Perform in India for The First Time

by jummy84 August 28, 2025
written by jummy84

It’s official! Linkin Park is finally coming to India. After years of speculation, the American nu metal giants have confirmed their first-ever performance in the country. The historic show will take place on January 25, 2026, at Mumbai’s Mahalaxmi Racecourse, with strong hints that it could be part of Lollapalooza India.
The confirmation arrived through a newsletter sent directly to fans, alongside the band’s From Zero World Tour poster. In his note, co-founder Mike Shinoda expressed excitement about performing for Indian fans at last. “India has been somewhere we’ve wanted to play for a long time. Our fans there are incredibly passionate and we can’t wait to finally bring our live show to them,” he wrote.

General ticket sales began today at noon, sparking a rush among fans eager to be part of history. Interestingly, the band’s official website had briefly listed the Mumbai date under their world tour schedule before quickly removing it. That move triggered weeks of speculation about their presence at Lollapalooza India 2026. While festival organisers and BookMyShow are yet to confirm, the band’s direct announcement has now ended the suspense.
The concert is part of Linkin Park’s major comeback tour.

For Indian fans, this performance is more than just a concert. Linkin Park’s albums Hybrid Theory and Meteora were soundtracks to the early 2000s for an entire generation. Songs like In the End, Numb, and Somewhere I Belong defined youth for millions across the country. Now, after more than two decades of waiting, fans will finally hear those anthems live on home soil.
As Linkin Park’s From Zero World Tour heads to Mumbai in January, Indian fans prepare for a night that blends nostalgia, healing, and fresh energy. For many, it won’t just be a concert, it will be a once-in-a-lifetime moment.

Clipse, Kendrick Lamar Perform ‘Chains & Whips’ at L.A. Show: Watch

Standout track appears on Pusha T and Malice’s long-awaited new LP Let God Sort Em Out

Clipse surprised fans in Los Angeles at the Novo on Saturday when they brought out Kendrick Lamar. The trio performed “Chains & Whips” from Clipse’s long-awaited album, Let God Sort Em Out, which arrived last month.

As fan-filmed clips reveal, Pusha T and Malice were in the midst of performing the song, and then the stage went dark briefly before a spotlight unveiled Lamar onstage. Then, Lamar delivered his scene-stealing verse. As he rapped the opening lines, “I’m not the candidate to vibe with/I don’t fuck with the kumbaya shit/All that talent must be godsent/I send yo’ ass back to the cosmics,” the hometown crowd went wild and screamed along to his rhymes.

Afterward, Lamar addressed the audience. “This is our home city, it’s such a privilege to be in front of motherfucking legends, man,” Lamar said, before shouting out and hugging Malice and Pusha T onstage. He then gestured to the audience and said, “I’m going to be out there watching with you all, these are my motherfucking people.”

Clipse are in the midst of their North American tour. Like their album, it’s their first since 2009. “I’m excited about getting back out here and seeing those people that supported us the whole time, and the people that have expressed their anxiousness to hear the Clipse,” Malice told Rolling Stone. He added: “This one is for the fans, those that waited around, those that were looking to see if we would ever come back and do music together.”

Their tour continues through West Coast cities through the end of August, before it heads south and continues on with dates in the Midwest in September.

Does Kevin Jonas Sing? Why He Waited This Long to Perform a Solo – Hollywood Life

Kevin Jonas (real name: Paul Kevin Jonas II) has always been the Jonas Brothers’ humble and fan-favorite guitarist, girl dad and eldest brother of the band, which also consists of Joe Jonas and Nick Jonas. Since the beginning of their career, Kevin has provided backup vocals for his brothers, but he never sang a solo live on stage — until now. During an August 23, 2025, Jonas20: Greetings From Your Hometown Tour show at Boston’s Fenway Park, Kevin proved that he can definitely sing. So, why has he held back for so long?

Hollywood Life has gathered all the info we know about Kevin’s vocal abilities and his recent solo below.

Can Kevin Jonas Sing?

Yes! For years, fans have been saying that Kevin could sing even though they hadn’t actually heard him belt out a few notes by himself on a stage.

The “Lovebug” artist proved his skills when he modestly walked downstage to take the microphone. Years prior, Kevin showed off his voice in the song “Scandinavia” for his and his brothers’ Disney Channel series, JONAS.

Why Doesn’t Kevin Jonas Sing Solo More Often?

During the brothers’ August 23, 2025, Boston concert, Kevin confirmed the reason why he hadn’t sung live before — because it made him “nervous.” After Nick stepped away to let Kevin take the microphone, the older brother said, “I’m super nervous, so bear with me,” then he showed off his vocal range while singing “Changing.”

Did Kevin Jonas Ever Sing Solo Before 2025?

Kevin hadn’t sung live at a concert before the August 2025 Boston show during the Jonas20: Greetings From Your Hometown Tour. As loyal fans already know, he sings backup vocals while Nick and Joe usually take the lead.

Could Kevin Jonas Release a Solo Album?

Kevin has not confirmed a solo album separate from the Jonas Brothers, but fans are calling for one. It wouldn’t a stretch for the “Sucker” guitarist to create and release his own since both Nick and Joe have explored different music styles in the past — with Joe collaborating with DNCE and Nick flying solo after the Jonas Brothers went on hiatus.
