Who Is Francoise Galpin in ‘Wednesday’ Season 2? Meet Tyler’s Mother – Hollywood Life

Season 2 of Wednesday introduced us to brand-new characters, and some of them tell Tyler Galpin’s (Hunter Doohan) backstory. During part 2 of the second season, viewers learned that Tyler’s mom, Francoise Galpin, was at Willow Hill. Below, Hollywood Life has compiled all the details we know about Francoise, her life and her family.

(Warning: spoilers are ahead for all of season 2 of Wednesday)

Is Wednesday Getting a Season 3?

Yes! Our favorite creepy and kooky and mysterious and spooky character is coming back for a third round, Netflix confirmed earlier this year. Season 2 ended with Wednesday’s best friend and roomie, Enid Sinclair (Emma Myers), transforming into an alpha werewolf, which forces her to flee Nevermore and live a life of solitude. So, what does this mean for season 3?

Miles Millar, co-showrunner and co-creator of Wednesday, told Netflix’s Tudum that fans “should be very worried for Enid” now that we know her fate. “We’re certainly worried for Enid,” Miles added.

“It’s a big deal for Enid and getting out of this is going to be difficult,” Miles continued. “Female friendship and sisterhood is the heart and soul of the show. Wednesday and Enid had some ups and downs this season, but that moment of pure sacrifice is a really great climactic moment for Enid’s arc this season.”

As for Emma, the actress said her character “is going to be stuck as a werewolf, having some crazy adventures up in Canada. But she’s going on a journey to find how to turn back into a human.”

“Wolf-Enid probably expects Wednesday to come find and help her — or, at least, I imagine she hopes for it,” Emma added.

As for Tyler, Wednesday’s former love interest, he becomes a complicated ally, dare we say, at the end of season 2.

Who Is Francoise Galpin in Wednesday?

Francoise Galpin is Tyler’s mom. That’s right — she’s isn’t dead, like he thought, and she’s a Hyde just like her son. Francoise is also the former wife of Sheriff Donovan Galpin. A former normie, Francoise was institutionalized at Willow Hill after giving birth to Tyler after her postpartum depression unearthed her Hyde nature.

Morticia strikes a deal with Francoise to spare Wednesday and keep Tyler away from Jericho, and the mother and son have a touching moment before viewers see her cough up blood — and indication that she’s withering away without a master. Hydes need a master to survive, but females can live without one for a while; males, however, can’t.

Francoise temporarily serves as Tyler’s master to ensure he survives, but how long can that last?

Who Is Isaac Night in Wednesday?

Isaac — a.k.a Slurp the zombie — is Francoise’s brother and Tyler’s uncle. Slurp escapes from Willow Hill just like the Galpin family did and eats multiple victims’ brains in his path. Over time, Slurp morphs back into human form, revealing his mortal self, Isaac, whose story traces back to Nevermore Academy.

It turns out that Isaac was the roommate of Wednesday’s father, Gomez, while they attended Nevermore. While there, Isaac tried to save Francoise with a machine from being a Hyde, since it’s practically a death sentence, and he needed Gomez’s help. However, the machine would result in Gomez’s death, which Morticia prevented. The machine broke down and killed Isaac, so Gomez and Morticia buried him in the cemetery until their son, Pugsley, (Wednesday’s brother) resurrected him as the zombie, Slurp.

Get Ready For The Mother Monster’s Makeover: Lady Gaga Transforms Into Enigmatic Rosaline Rotwood In Wednesday Season 2! | Glamsham.com

Months of anticipation, and finally, Netflix revealed the first official look at Lady Gaga in the eagerly awaited second season of Wednesday. The news came on September 1, two days before the Part 2 premiere on September 3. The pop star takes on the role of Rosaline Rotwood, a new and mysterious teacher at Nevermore Academy.

The first picture is Lady Gaga wearing an otherworldly white dress, complete with long blonde hair and perfectly shaped eyebrows. Riding on her shoulder is Thing, the favorite disembodied hand from the Addams family realm. Netflix tagged the photo: “A vision in venom. Here’s your first look at Lady Gaga as Rosaline Rotwood.”

Who is Rosaline Rotwood?

Netflix has not spilled any details about Gaga’s character. We do know that Rosaline Rotwood is a “legendary Nevermore teacher who intersects with Wednesday.” Whether she’s a new member of the faculty or a character from the school’s dark past remains to be seen. Fans are already speculating over whether she might be connected to past characters — or even the Addams family line.

New Music Release Together with the Show

In line with her guest spot on the show, Lady Gaga will also debut her brand-new song called “The Dead Dance” on September 3. The hit was originally teased at the Graveyard Gala of the events that took place in New York City by Netflix and Spotify. The song will allegedly connect with the themes and atmosphere of Wednesday, merging Gaga’s classic dark glam aesthetic with the gothic tone of the show.

Netflix announced the music release on social media:
“You heard it from Mother Monster. Lady Gaga’s new song The Dead Dance will be out on September 3 and in Wednesday Part II.”

What to Expect from Part 2 of Wednesday Season 2

The latter half of Season 2 has high stakes and surprise twists in store. A surprising teaser announced the return of Gwendoline Christie’s character, Principal Weems, who passed away in Season 1 now seen as Wednesday’s spirit guide. The story will trace Wednesday’s steps as she unravels a dark family book to prevent a prophecy and save her best friend Enid’s life, ending in a clash with Tyler.

The remake of Chaalbaaz, which originally featured her mother in a double role, was initially announced with Shraddha Kapoor in the lead, but the project did not move forward. bitchy | Arnold Schwarzenegger: ‘I think that kids need a father and a mother. It’s always the key’

by jummy84 August 30, 2025
written by jummy84

Arnold Schwarzenegger recently gave an interesting interview to the Times of London. It was less about promoting his Netflix show and more about promoting his environmental work, but he spoke about a variety of topics, including his pride in his son Patrick, the collapse of his marriage to Maria Shriver, how he’s living his American dream, and the so-called “crisis in masculinity.” I found his comments about masculinity the most notable – Arnold has always been pure machismo, profiting from the performance of his masculinity for decades. In his view, the crisis in masculinity is simple: every kid needs a father or father figure. Some highlights from the Times:

He’s totally fine when people interrupt his day to talk to him: “What people miss the most is to get attention. That someone knows them, is aware of them, that they’re somebody. And so they go to a shrink. They lie on the couch and someone is listening to them. But I go out anywhere to a crowd and they all listen. And they love to listen to my sh-t, right? I’m having fifty thousand shrinks sitting out there, and I don’t pay a f***ing penny. I get paid! So how can I complain about that?… OK, yes, there are times when you go to a restaurant and someone comes up and says, can I take a picture of you? But I can walk into this restaurant at any time, I can sit at any table I want, I make no reservation. For that I take a picture with someone. It takes three minutes. So why would I complain?”

On the second Trump era: “This country’s going through a difficult moment but it’s not the end of the world.”

Whether he thinks masculinity is in crisis: He claims to have never even heard of Andrew Tate, but reflects, “The majority of people have a problem. They feel down, depressed, not in a good mood. People come up to me in the gym and ask, ‘How can I get up in the morning and feel good?’ Well, I’m not an expert in psychology and all this stuff. But I tell them, what works for me is not to think. So therefore, don’t think. Just work out and struggle and fight. This will make you feel good mentally.”

What do young men need? “I don’t know if I have the solution or not. But when I think about my kids, none of them have that problem. And the reason is because there was a strong father there. I gave them discipline and didn’t let them get away with anything. And they were taught how to make their beds, they were taught how to wash their clothes. Because it’s like the way I grew up.” Then he gets out his iPad to show me videos of him painting Mother’s Day cards with his two young granddaughters and his expression melts as he points out their rapt gaze. “So I think that kids need a father and a mother. It’s always the key. And if they don’t have a father, some other male has to come in.”

He believes most young men lack father figures: Arnold’s only brother died in a car crash in Austria at the age of 24, leaving a three-year-old son, Patrick. Schwarzenegger brought his nephew to the US at 19, put him through college, got him a job at Gold’s Gym and he is now a successful entertainment lawyer in LA. “Of course he missed his father but that we couldn’t do anything about. He was dead. So now it was just surrounding him with the support and with male reinforcement, to say this is what you should do. The male dominance, that’s what they idolise.”

His son Patrick, who was just on The White Lotus: “Patrick never asked me a question about acting. But he came many times to me and said, ‘I just did an interview with this magazine and two thirds of the questions were about you.’ But I was just in New York and a journalist comes up and says, ‘What’s it like being the father of Patrick Schwarzenegger?’ All of a sudden, everything has changed around. I walk into the gym now and it used to be the girls would come up and give me their contact. And then after White Lotus comes out, the girl comes up and says, ‘Here’s my contact, give it to Patrick.’ So it’s wonderful. If I go to my grave and know that my son has outdone me, I’m in heaven.”

[From The Times]

Yeah, he’s speaking from his own experience, it’s not like he’s claiming to be an expert on families. I’m not surprised that Arnold has retro, if not completely regressive, views on parenting, families and father figures. It is strange though, because… Arnold had a sh-tty father who was an abusive alcoholic Nazi, and Arnold turned into a much better man IN SPITE of his father. Arnold also denied fathering his son Joseph for years, although Arnold is a father to Joseph now and they’re in each other’s lives. There are plenty of toxic jackholes who had great fathers, and there are plenty of amazing people who grew up without strong, loving fathers or father figures. Arnold does edge up on one of my theories about the alleged “crisis of masculinity” though – the lack of quality role models for boys and young men, and in that vacuum, pieces of sh-t like Andrew Tate and Joe Rogan are celebrated.

“We seem to be accidentally color coordinated – how embarrassing!” Mubi has revealed a first look teaser trailer for the film titled Father Mother Sister Brother, the latest Jim Jarmusch feature film that has been in the works for years already. It’s now set to premiere at the 2025 Venice Film Festival underway now, and it’ll next play at the New York & Vancouver Film Fests this fall before opening in theaters in December. A new ensemble comedy feature a huge cast of characters – the film is a triptych with segments set in the US, France, and Ireland. Estranged siblings reunite after years apart, forced to confront unresolved tensions and reevaluate their strained relationships with their emotionally distant parents. A series of character studies: quiet, observational and non-judgemental — a comedy, but interwoven with threads of melancholy. Starring Tom Waits, Adam Driver, Mayim Bialik, Charlotte Rampling, Cate Blanchett, Vicky Krieps, Sarah Greene, Indya Moore, Luka Sabbat, & Françoise Lebrun. This is a strange teaser that doesn’t exactly get me more excited to see this film, but I’m interested to watch nonetheless because it is Jarmusch.

Here’s the first teaser trailer for Jim Jarmusch’s film Father Mother Sister Brother, from YouTube:

Father Mother Sister Brother Teaser

Father Mother Sister Brother Teaser

Father Mother Sister Brother is a feature film, though carefully constructed in the form of a triptych. The 3 stories all concern the relationships between adult children, their somewhat distant parent (or parents), and each other. Each of the three chapters takes place in the present, and each in a different country. Father is set in the Northeast US, Mother in Dublin, Ireland, and Sister Bother in Paris, France. The film is a series of character studies, quiet, observational and non-judgmental – a comedy, but interwoven with threads of melancholy. Father Mother Sister Brother is written and directed by acclaimed American indie filmmaker Jim Jarmusch, director of many great films including Stranger Than Paradise, Down by Law, Mystery Train, Night on Earth, Dead Man, Ghost Dog: The Way of the Samurai, Coffee and Cigarettes, Broken Flowers, The Limits of Control, Only Lovers Left Alive, Paterson, Gimme Danger, and The Dead Don’t Die previously. Produced by Charles Gillibert, Joshua Astrachan, Carter Logan, and Atilla Salih Yücer. This is premiering at the 2025 Venice Film Festival underway now. Mubi opens Jarmusch’s Father Mother Sister Brother in select US theaters starting on December 24th, 2025 late this year. How does that look?

Postpartum priorities every new mother needs to know: From breastfeeding tips to nutritional guide | Health

by jummy84 August 29, 2025
written by jummy84

One of the challenging aspects of postpartum for a mother is meeting the new needs that arise. After childbirth, a mother’s body undergoes many hormonal, physical, and emotional changes. There are several immediate aspects she needs to pay attention to. Among the first ones are breastfeeding practices and what to eat to replenish energy. HT Lifestyle reached out to health experts to collect tips and a nutritional guide that can help mothers.

Breastfeeding tips for mothers

The first step is breastfeeding, right from the hospital itself. Mothers need to be aware of the right techniques, timing beforehand.

Dr Shweta Mendiratta, Associate Clinical Director and Head of Obstetrics & Gynaecology at Marengo Asia Hospitals, Faridabad, listed out 5 breastfeeding tips:

1. Start immediately after birth

  • New mothers need to initiate breastfeeding within the first hour of birth, called the golden hour.
  • This helps the baby receive colostrum, which is rich in antibodies and nutrients and helps protect the newborn from various infections.

2. Ensure the right latch

  • A good latch by the baby is key to successful breastfeeding. The baby’s mouth should cover not just the nipple but also a good part of the areola, the circular area of pigmented skin surrounding the nipple.
  • You should not feel pain during feeding. If you do, gently break the suction with your finger and try again.

3. Feed on demand, not by the clock

  • Newborn babies typically breastfeed every 2 to 3 hours. Moms should watch out for baby hunger signs like sucking on fists, turning their head, or making sucking noises.
  • Don’t wait for the baby to cry to breastfeed. Crying occurs when the baby has already been feeling hungry for some time.

4. Drink enough water and eat Healthy

  • Nutrition directly impacts the quality and quantity of breast milk.
  • Nutrient-rich foods, with adequate intake of proteins, calcium, iron, and healthy fats, replenish the mother’s energy levels, aid her recovery post-delivery, and supply essential nutrients to the baby.

5. Pumping or hand-expressing milk

  • Pumping or hand-expressing milk can help relieve breast engorgement, a condition where the breasts become overfilled with milk, making them feel swollen, hard, and painful.
  • Expressing milk allows others to feed the baby when you need some rest. Make sure to store and handle breast milk hygienically.

Dr Shweta Mendiratta, however, shed light on some of the potential conditions mothers may face while breastfeeding. “If you are experiencing conditions like sore nipples, engorgement, low milk supply, or if the baby is not gaining weight adequately, speak to your doctor without delay,” She shared the symptoms, assuring that these are common after childbirth and manageable.

What to eat

Ragi roti gives energy instead of atta roti.(Shutterstock)

Eating for two is what mothers hear after birth. But Dr Arti Bhalerao, Chief Dietitian and Clinical Nutritionist at Sahyadri Hospitals MomStory, Hadapsar, Pune, told us that this may not always be the case, so it does not give a free pass to snacking all day long. The difference is to eat smart, maybe with a little more meal frequency, but ultimately focusing on getting the right nutrients. As per Dr Bhalerao, the goal should be to support the body without overexerting it.

First up is giving mothers traditional food in Indian homes, as these are easier to digest, warm, and rich in nutrients.

Elaborating more about the meals, she added, “Fresh rotis or rice with soft dals, ghee, and seasonal vegetables are often the base of such meals. Grains like ragi and bajra are commonly used. They give you steady energy and may contain important nutrients such as iron, calcium, zinc and fibre. Plant-based sources like dals and lentils are gentle on the stomach and give your body the protein it needs to heal.”

She further listed green veggies like spinach, fenugreek, which are recommended because they are good sources of high iron, calcium and folic acid, which are required in breastfeeding.

Further, nuts are also recommended by the dietician as they are healthy fats. She said, “Soaked almonds or lightly roasted ones can be eaten daily. They provide healthy fats that keep your energy levels stable.” Seeds are also advised to be eaten. Dr Bhalerao recommended flax or garden cress.

Lastly, for fluids, which are very essential because of breastfeeding, the dietician confirmed that, indeed, the belief that breastfeeding makes you thirstier is actually true. Other than water, she encouraged having coconut water or buttermilk during the day.

However, she did warn, “Stay away from sugary drinks and soft drinks. They do not provide any real nourishment. Tea and coffee can be enjoyed in small amounts. One or two cups a day is fine for most mothers.”

Among other foods to be avoided by the mother, as recommended by Dr Bhalerao, include spicy, oily food, foods like raw onion, too much garlic, or heavy pulses such as chickpeas or kidney beans, which might cause gas or make your baby fussy. Likewise, it goes without saying, Dr Bhalerao cautioned about alcohol and smoking, asking to eliminate them completely when breastfeeding, as they can pass into the milk and affect it. Similarly, she advised steering clear of large fish as they may contain harmful substances and instead choose smaller fish, cooked for grilled or curry recipes.

Jennie Garth was ‘furious’ after doctor’s pregnancy mistake in front of her mother

27 August 2025

Jennie Garth was mistakenly told she was pregnant as teenager in front of her mother.

Jennie Garth recalls awkward pregnancy scare

The 53-year-old star has recalled an awkward visit to a clinic with her mother Carolyn Garth when the doctor got some results mixed up.

Speaking to her ex-husband Peter Facinelli’s daughter Fiona, 18, on her I Choose Me podcast, Jennie said: “My mom went in there and it was to go on birth control.

“I had a boyfriend and I just wanted to be safe. I didn’t want to have a baby without being ready for it.”

The What I Like About You star – who confirmed the partner at the time wasn’t her Twilight actor ex – explained her mother didn’t know she was having sex at the time, so she claimed she wanted to “explore birth control options” to help with an irregular period.

She added: “I took a urine test. We’re sitting in this clinician’s office and they come in the room.

“My mom and I are just waiting for what she’s gonna say, and she says, ‘Well, you’re pregnant.’

“I was like, ‘What?’ All of a sudden, the cat was out of the bag. I was instantly just red all over. I was hot, sweaty.

“I didn’t know what to do because I had, in that moment, to be honest with my mom in the most uncomfortable situation about the fact that I had already had sex and that I had been lying to her about it.”

The Beverly Hills, 90210 star revealed the doctor soon realised they’d accidentally read the results from “someone else’s urine test”, but it was too late.

She said: “Cut to me and my mom having this emotional breakdown… Then she came back in, ‘Oh, oops! That was not your pee, that was someone else’s pee.’ “

Jennie was “furious” over the mixup, but it prompted a conversation with her mother that she’d been dreading.

She added: “That was a lot more traumatic and dramatic than if I had just gone to her and talked to her about it.

“But I, too, was really scared to talk to my mom about it, to the point where I actually lied and hid the truth from her.”
