From regal kurtas to dazzling modern twists, these style icons prove that ethnic wear is not just tradition it’s a statement. So before you pick your festive look, take some inspiration from the stars who are ruling both the screen and the festive fashion game.

A Look At Bollywood’s Handsome Hunks Elevating The Traditional Ethnic Fashion Game

Vicky Kaushal – Royal & Effortless

After winning hearts with his recent film Chaava, Vicky Kaushal stunned in a deep maroon kurta paired with crisp white trousers. With delicate embroidery and an aura of understated royalty, his look balanced elegance and masculinity. Styled with sleek sunglasses and his natural charm, Vicky proved that minimalism in festive wear can make a lasting impact.

Karan Tacker – Bold & Dazzling

Currently creating buzz with Special Ops 2, Karan Tacker set the bar high in a black sequin-studded kurta that shimmered with every move. A modern spin on a traditional silhouette, his look oozed confidence and sophistication. Perfect for those who love to stand out, this ensemble made festive fashion both experimental and glamorous.

Ahaan Pandey – Effortless Simplicity in Ivory

After earning love and fame with his debut film Siyaraa, Ahaan Pandey chose a pristine white kurta-pajama, enhanced only by a subtle red thread bracelet. His serene style reflected purity and timeless tradition, making it the perfect pick for intimate gatherings and rituals.

Adarsh Gourav – Bold, Artistic & Statement-Making

Fresh from his acclaimed performance in Superboys of Malegaon, Adarsh Gourav turned heads in a vibrant embroidered jacket featuring striking artistic patterns, paired with bold green trousers and sneakers. Fusing streetwear with tradition, his look was daring, youthful, and perfect for trendsetters who love breaking the rules while staying rooted.

Abhay Verma – Regal Vibes with a Modern Twist

Official Trailer for ‘Game’ UK Survival Thriller Set in 90s Rave Scene

What do we have here? Invada Films has debuted an official UK trailer for a survival thriller indie film titled Game, made by filmmaker John Minton as his feature directorial debut. Not to be confused with the Gerard Butler video game action movie Gamer from 2009. Game is a thriller set during the ’90s British rave scene, where two men, one a thief and one a poacher, must use their wits to survive after a car crash in the woods. It’s produced by Geoff Barrow of the band Portishead, trying out something new. Starring Marc Bessant & Jason Williamson. The official UK premiere will be on October 16th at the opening night of Mayhem Film Festival in Nottingham, before the film hits UK theaters in November. Though still no US release set yet for this one. The film looks like some funky experimental indie horror creation, mixing nature and raves and psychological mania and more. What’s going on with these blokes in the forest? Keep an eye out for it…

Here’s the official UK trailer (+ poster) for John Minton’s film Game, from YouTube (via Live for Films):

Game Film Trailer

Game Film Poster

Late summer 1993. After stealing a stash of money and drugs, aging raver David (Marc Bessant) crashes his car deep in the woods – trapped in the wreckage, injured and helpless, he hangs suspended between life & death. When a mysterious poacher (Jason Williamson) discovers him, no rescue comes, only a watchful, unsettling presence that seems intent on letting nature finish the job. As the hours stretch and the elements close in, a tense and claustrophobic battle of wills, and wits, unfolds – where survival hinges on outlasting both the wilderness and the predator at its edge. Game is directed by British filmmaker John Minton, making his feature directorial debut with this new project. The screenplay is co-written by Geoff Barrow, Marc Bessant, John Minton, and Rob Williams. It’s produced by Geoff Barrow & Deborah Rawlings. This is premiering at a few small festivals before it hits theaters. Invada Films will debut Minton’s Game film in UK cinemas starting November 21st, 2025 this fall. No US release date is set yet – stay tuned. Who’s curious?

A Man Is Lost in a Maze in a Witty Game Adaptation

by jummy84 September 19, 2025
written by jummy84

Given how few first-person videogames make a successful transition to the big screen, it’s surprising how easy Genki Kawamura‘s “Exit 8” makes it look. But perhaps the key to not losing much in translation is not having much to lose in the first place. The concept of popular walking game “The Exit 8,” from developers Kotake Create, is so spartan as to be practically monastic. You are lost in a labyrinthine, overlit, Japanese metro tunnel, and the only way to find your way out of its Escher-like infinity-loop construction is to spot its “anomalies” — tiny, deliberate deviations from the previously established norm.

While comparisons to cult sci-fi “Cube” are inevitable, “Exit 8” is simpler, cleaner and less bothered by reasoning out the premise. Instead, the trick here is that, absent the first-person dimension, Kawamura and co-writer Kentaro Hirase add a psychological component to the third-person storytelling. Here, the protagonist’s predicament is cued by his being at a turning point in his life, or rather, because this is “Exit 8,” a turning and turning and turning again point.

Our hero, only ever referred to as the Lost Man (J-pop star Kazunari Ninomiya in a nicely judged rumpled-everyman performance), is on the train when he witnesses an overbearing businessman harassing a young mother about her crying baby and fails to intervene. Soon after, he alights and takes a call from his ex, who is pregnant and awaiting his thoughts on what to do about it. So he’s plunged into worry, and it takes him a while to notice that suddenly he’s alone in a rectilinear nightmare of white-tiled underground passageways, courtesy of Ryo Sugimoto’s sadistically sharp production design, and that following the bland yellow signage toward the exit will eventually always end him up back where he began.

Actually, Lost Man is not quite alone; a slender man carrying a briefcase (Yamato Kochi) walks impassively by him at the same moment each time he arrives in one of the corridors. And later, other wanderers also appear, but his interactions with them are stilted, as though they are non-playing characters (NPCs). As in the game, the only active choice the Lost Man can make, therefore, is to move forward or double back, and soon a poster appears telling him how to exercise that limited free will. Whenever he spots an anomaly, he should reverse course. If nothing’s amiss, he should continue, and this way he will successfully navigate the eight levels and make it to an actual exit. Get it wrong, however, and it resets back to the start and all his progress is undone.

Operating on the same catchy principle that drives a thousand hidden-object or spot-the-difference games, now we, along with the Lost Man, start to obsessively parse each frame for potential deviations. Were the subway posters in that same order last time? Did that door always sit between two air vents? Why is Walking Man suddenly Standing Man, and when did he start wearing that ghastly smile?

There is a matter-of-factness to DP Keisuke Imamura’s flat, bright images that creates a hyperreal eeriness all the more uneasy for being the polar opposite of a horror movie’s usual dark corners and shadowy depths. And editor Sakura Seya does a briskly efficient job of making the metro-corridor Moebius strip feel not only plausible, but solidly real, with only some later developments allowing for any variation in shot style or rhythm.

But at just the point when we might be starting to get a little restless with Lost Man’s erratic progress, Kawamura makes his most daring narrative leap by suddenly switching protagonists — perhaps all those NPCs were not actually NPCs at all, but other “players” trapped in the same psychological and physical limbo for different, uniquely personal reasons. All those reasons, however, have a moral or ethical dimension, which in some cases leads to quite touching developments that in their way further illuminate Lost Man’s own quandary.

That’s not to overstate the depth or emotive nature of a fun little ride that uses broad-brush psychology as an excuse for an elegant puzzle-box that, once solved, does not require further thought. Like the game, which is popular as kind of a one-off without much replayability, “Exit 8” is designed to divert for a short time and does so enjoyably, with Kawamura proving a most judicious assessor of just how little backstory, plot explanation and character development he can get away with and still keep us engaged. But while it doesn’t pretend to some grand philosophy, the movie’s sparseness does give it some mileage as an allegory for how changing things up is the only way to break a cycle of destructive, circular thinking. In a time of increasingly inescapable groupthink and conformity, “Exit 8” wants you to embrace the anomaly.

TORONTO – Baseball fans will now be able to watch the Toronto Blue Jays’ potential playoff clincher Friday night in Kansas City on the team’s regular broadcast home in Canada.

Sportsnet, the club’s Canadian rights-holder, said Thursday it had struck a deal with Apple TV to simulcast the game on Rogers airwaves.

Entering Thursday’s games, Toronto’s magic number to clinch a post-season berth was three.

Before the deal, only Apple TV subscribers would have been able to watch the Blue Jays’ series opener against the Royals, which could seal Toronto’s spot in the 12-team post-season.

“This is a really exciting time of year for Blue Jays fans, and we wanted to try and find a way for Canadians to watch Friday’s game on Sportsnet, especially at this pivotal moment of the season,” a Rogers spokesperson said in an email. “In working with the Blue Jays, Major League Baseball and Apple TV, glad we found a way.”

Watch Iron Maiden’s Bruce Dickinson Sing National Anthem at NFL Game

The British musician performed ahead of the Pittsburgh Steelers’ home game against the Seattle Seahawks

Iron Maiden frontman Bruce Dickinson offered his take on the American national anthem at Pittsburgh’s Acrisure Stadium on Sunday.

The English musician was asked to perform the song at the Pittsburgh Steelers’ first home game of the season against the Seattle Seahawks, noting on Instagram that it was “a huge honour” to be invited. Dickinson left the field to chants of “U.S.A! U.S.A!”

“I’ll let you in to a secret,” Dickinson said in a recent interview on podcast The Charismatic Voice. “I’ve got to sing the national anthem in Pittsburgh for the Pittsburgh Steelers. They’ve asked me to do this. I’m going to do it a cappella and stuff, and as long as you start at the right place, you’re good to go.”

Fans were entertained by the NFL‘s decision to enlist a musician from the U.K. to perform America’s anthem at a very American sport. “The most random thing I saw today was a British man singing the American national anthem,” one commenter wrote on Instagram. Another added, “Why is a Brit singing the American national anthem? Especially at this current time?”

Dickinson is currently on the North American leg of his Mandrake Project solo tour. It continues on Tuesday in Toronto before heading to Montreal later this week. The tour wraps in Los Angeles on Oct. 5 with a show at the Wiltern.

Iron Maiden is celebrating their 50th anniversary in 2025, with a new documentary about the metal greats is slated to be released later this year. Directed by Malcolm Venville, the as-yet-untitled film will dig into Iron Maiden’s remarkable 50-year history and legacy, telling the story from the perspective of both band and fans (including famous ones like Javier Bardem, Lars Ulrich, and Gene Simmons). The film will also feature interviews with key members from throughout the band’s run, including the last interview with original vocalist Paul Di’Anno, who died last year.

‘Jeopardy!’ Contestants Speak Out After Stunning End to Game

by jummy84 September 10, 2025
written by jummy84

[Warning: The following post contains MAJOR spoilers for the Tuesday, September 9, episode of Jeopardy!]

Jonathan Hugendubler returned for his third Jeopardy! game on Tuesday, September 9, a true nail-biter that came down to the final question.

Hugendubler faced off against Ian Morrison from Aurora, Colorado, and Stacy Shelly from Rockford, Illinois. Hugendubler, from Baltimore, Maryland, was attempting to add to his two-day total of $63,601.

The game started well for him as he answered the first three clues correctly. He found the Daily Double on clue four and wagered all of his $1,600.

In “Body Parts Everywhere,” the clue read, “At the end of an 1831 novel, his skeleton is found in a cellar with a curved spine and soon crumbles into dust.” Hugendubler, a trivia host, hesitated, which prompted host Ken Jennings to encourage him to answer. “Who is Long John Silver?” Hugendubler answered incorrectly, dropping down to $0. The correct response was Quasimodo.

After that, Morrison, an airline ramp agent, and Shelly, an attorney, both answered clues, leaving Hugendubler at $0. However, he answered the last three clues before the commercial break, bringing him to second place with $1,800.

The rest of the round was a battle for first place, but Hugendubler came out on top with $4,000. Morrison was in second with $3,200. Shelly had $2,800. Right before Morrison selected the last clue, he said, “Bring it,” a classic line from Jeopardy! champion Sam Buttrey.

“I couldn’t help but say ‘Bring it,’ for that last clue in DJ! Sorry, everyone!” he wrote on Reddit. after the show.

“I am not in the hating ‘Bring it’ crowd! Congrats,” a fan replied.

In Double Jeopardy, Hugendubler plowed ahead. By the time he found the first Daily Double of the round, he had $15,200. He wagered $5,200 in “18th Century Notables.” The clue was “This archduchess & empress led Austria through the Seven Years’ War & was the mother of Marie Antoinette.” The adjunct music professor answered, “Who is Mother Theresa?” giving him a total of $20,400.

After the DD, Shelly ran the category “New Yorkers Head South” and moved to second place with $7,600. Morrison then found the last DD a few clues later. With $5,600 in his bank, he wagered $3,000.

In “I’m Getting Crafy in My Old Age,” the clue read, “When I hear this word, I no longer think soup but ‘pottery that’s been fired once in a kiln & hasn’t been glazed.’” He correctly answered, “What is bisque?” and moved into second place with $8,600.

By the end of the round, Hugendubler still led with $21,200, but his opponents weren’t too far behind. Morrison had $14,600. Shelly was in third with $10,800.

Hugendubler seemed like the clear winner, but Final Jeopardy can change everything. The category was “Classic Rock & Classic Films.”

“In 1976, Groucho Marx sent this band a telegram congratulating them on their ‘sage choice’ in album titles” was the clue. The correct response was “Who is Queen?” which only one contestant got right.

Shelly answered, “Who is Led?” She wagered $2,401, dropping down to $8,399. Morrison did get it right and wagered $7,409. This made his total $22,009, currently higher than Hugendubler’s. The reigning champion’s response was “Who is Led Zeppelin?” He wagered $8,001, making his total $13,199. Hugendubler lost, and Morrison became the new champion. He will return tomorrow for his second game.

On Reddit, Morrison thanked a commenter for their compliment on his checkered bowtie. He also revealed that he wore a kilt on The Weakest Link when he was on it three years ago. Find out what he wears tomorrow for game two.

Is Taylor Swift Going to the Kansas City Chiefs–Los Angeles Chargers Game in Brazil?

by jummy84 September 6, 2025
written by jummy84

Welcome back to “Will Taylor Swift Be at the Chiefs Game?” season!

While pumpkin spice menu options are the harbinger of fall and Labor Day officially marks its beginning, the start of football season is the true nail in the coffin for summer. While this is cause for celebration amongst fashion and Halloween girlies alike, it can be a somber times for all the real-life Belly Conklins out there. Luckily, there’s one thing we can all celebrate: more Taylor Swift.

During her summer hiatus, Swift popped up to tease two major projects that will keep Swifties occupied for the foreseeable future: her 12th studio album, The Life of a Showgirl, and her upcoming wedding to NFL superstar Travis Kelce.

While TLOAS drops on October 3, wedding planning will probably have to wait until the end of football season and whatever promo Swift has planned for her latest album. A source recently told People that the couple “just want to enjoy being engaged” and are “not in the wedding planning phase yet.”

As of this very moment, Kelce is preparing for his first Kansas City Chiefs game of the season, with the team set to take on the Los Angeles Chargers in São Paulo on September 5. Given that Swift is not attending this year’s MTV Video Music Awards on September 7, many fans suspect she may have joined her fiancé in Brazil instead.

While her absence from the VMAs could be due to a football-related travel schedule, it’s worth noting that Swift skipped all of last year’s away games, aside from the 2025 Super Bowl in New Orleans. However, she could be tempted to break that pattern in order to celebrate her WAG promotion from girlfriend to fiancée. Only time will tell, so you’ll have to stream the game live on YouTube at 8 p.m. ET to find out.

As Swift said during her surprise appearance on Kelce’s New Heights podcast: “If there’s one thing that male sports fans want to see in their spaces and on their screens, it’s more of me.” She was being sarcastic but I’m not.

Karol G Halftime Show in Brazil for Chiefs vs. Chargers Game: Recap

by jummy84 September 6, 2025
written by jummy84

Karol G brought her Tropicoqueta energy to the NFL stage in Brazil, where she headlined the halftime show on Friday night (Sept. 5) during the season opener between the Kansas City Chiefs and the Los Angeles Chargers.

The Colombian superstar’s performance was streamed live on the NFL’s YouTube channel from Corinthians Arena in São Paulo, where she opened her short-but-dazzling set singing some verses in Portuguese, before switching to Spanish for “Bandida Entrenada.”

“Hey, Brazil!” she greeted the audience with excitement. “¡Arriba mi gente latina!” (Up my Latin people!)

Dressed in a brown and yellow miniskirt with copper details and a bra with yellow pineapples for cups, Karol, with her wavy dark blond hair down, performed a medley of songs that included her Billboard Hot Latin Songs No. 1 hit “Si Antes Te Hubiera Conocido,” “Un Gatito Me Llamó” and “Papasito,” which she performed half in English, half in Spanish.

Surrounded by dozens of dancers and featuring some moves that included a bit of lambada, Karol’s performance lasted less than 10 minutes, but it was sweet and well-produced, including nice costumes, a group of female percussionists and a grand finale with golden pom poms and fireworks.

Hours before the show, Karol shared some heartfelt words in an Instagram post alongside a carousel of colorful spashots from her stay in Brazil. “Today is a very special day! After a long time, I return to one of my favorite places in the world, where, no matter what, I feel completely happy: The stage! The sacred place where I connect with you,” she wrote.

“Performing tonight has many special meanings in my life for different reasons, and there wouldn’t be enough space in this caption to explain it all… I just hope you really enjoy it, and in the name of God, I hope everything turns out incredible,” the singer continued. “You know, you think about every detail and hope that everything goes as planned… But no matter what happens, I love what we’ve prepared so much. It has all my soul and heart, and there’s a wonderful team of people by my side who worked incredibly hard as well.”

Karol G’s halftime show performance was announced in August. The news was accompanied by a photo of her dressed in Tropicoqueta flair, a nod to her latest album, while holding a football helmet. As part of the ongoing collaboration between the NFL and YouTube, the game between the Chiefs and the Chargers is the first NFL game exclusively streamed live on YouTube.

In addition to Karol’s show, Brazilian artist Ana Castela performed the country’s national anthem, “Hino Nacional Brasileiro,” and jazz saxophonist and composer Kamasi Washington played the United States national anthem, “The Star-Spangled Banner.”

Microsoft has confirmed a handful of titles that will be joining Xbox Game Pass over the next couple of weeks – check out the confirmed list below:

Xbox Game Pass is a subscription service that gives both Xbox and PC players access to a massive library of games. To keep things fresh, new titles are constantly being added while other games are removed.

In total, 21 games were added in August including Assassin’s Creed Mirage, Farming Simulator 25 and the surprise release of the remastered Heretic + Hexen while both Gears Of War: Reloaded and Dragon Age: The Veilguard were added last week. A handful of games were also removed from the servicing including Borderlands 3.

Now Microsoft has confirmed the first titles that will be joining Xbox Game Pass this month.

All the games confirmed to be coming to Xbox Game Pass in August 2025:

  • Hollow Knight: Silksong  – September 4 for Ultimate and PC subscribers
  • Deep Rock Galactic: Survivor – September 6 for Ultimate and PC subscribers
  • Frostpunk 2 – September 18 for Ultimate and PC subscribers

Subscribers will also be able to play ten-hour trials of NHL 26 (September 5) and EA Sports FC 26 (September 19).

Microsoft will announce more titles for Xbox Game Pass later this month, as well as confirming which games will be leaving the service this September.

Earlier this year, Microsoft confirmed 19 Day One releases would be joining the Xbox Game Pass service throughout 2025 and beyond, The Outer Worlds 2 will launch in October alongside Call Of Duty: Black Ops 7, Keeper and Ninja Gaiden 4 while a number of titles will follow in 2026.

Back in May, more than 50 classic games were made available for Game Pass subscribers as part of Microsoft’s Retro Classics. “This initiative is a step in our commitment to game preservation and backwards compatibility, allowing players to experience many timeless games on modern devices.”

In other news, Team Cherry has revealed the launch details for Hollow Knight: Silksong. The long-awaited sequel will be available to play from 3pm September 4.
