One of the internet’s premier forums for remembering some guys is looking to move into television.
Religion of Sports, the production company founded by Gotham Chopra and NFL greats Tom Brady and Michael Strahan, is developing a game show based on Immaculate Grid, the online trivia game hosted by Sports Reference. The project is in its early stages and doesn’t have an outlet attached yet.
Created by software developer Brian Minter and purchased by Sports Reference in July 2023, Immaculate Grid is a daily game in which players fill in a 3×3 grid based on certain criteria along each axis (say, played for the Dodgers and had a 100-RBI season). The original version of the game covered only baseball, but there are now grids for men’s and women’s basketball, football, hockey and soccer as well.
“Immaculate Grid is the online game to play if you’re a serious sports fan. It’s very challenging and very addictive.” said Victor Buhler, senior vp development and production at Religion of Sports. “We believe the game can also become a terrific show, a future favorite for sports fans of every stripe.”
The Immaculate Grid game show will look to bring sports fans, athletes and celebrities together as they try to piece together a perfect grid.
“Our mission at Sports Reference is to help our users better enjoy and understand the sports they love. Religion of Sports is a perfect partner in that mission, as we’ve found a lot of common ground in our shared interest in the deeper context of sports,” said Sports Reference founder and president Sean Forman. “Immaculate Grid has become a daily ritual for so many people, and our collaboration represents a major step in its evolution. We’re excited to work with Religion of Sports to expand the Immaculate Grid brand from the online space to a new television audience.”
Religon of Sports has produced ESPN’s In the Arena series, Netflix’s Simone Biles Rising and Prime Video’s Built in Birmingham: Brady & the Blues, among other titles.
Riot Games has announced that Spiritbox vocalist Courtney LaPlante is the singer of “Ties That Bind,” the upcoming theme song to the new video game 2XKO.
The song arrives Monday, October 6th, at 11 a.m. ET. Per Riot Games’ description, the track “delivers a powerful and anthemic soundscape that crescendos into an epic, soaring finale for players.”
News of the theme song comes as 2XKO — the new 2v2 fighter from Riot Games (League of Legends) — enters early access for PC gamers. Meanwhile, LaPlante and Spiritbox are prepping for a US headlining tour kicking off in November. Get tickets here.

The Game and Shaniece Hairston led the “Happy Birthday” song for their lil’ man while folks in the background chimed in. Blaze stole the show looking too cute in a Kith top and shorts, Game kept it chill, sporting a dark tracksuit, and Shaniece popped out serving a look in a pink dress. The whole party was decked out in blue and was giving galaxy vibes as the decor included rockets and stars. Even his tiered cake seemed to mimic the look of planet as it had rings around it.
Blaze’s exact birthday is under wraps, but Game and Shaniece have kept fans locked in with sweet pics and videos of him on social media. Back in April, Game went viral after dropping some selfie flicks with Blaze. Fans ate it up and couldn’t stop gushing over Blaze’s big, beautiful eyes. The halftime belonged to British singer-songwriter Myles Smith. He is already one of the fastest-rising folk-pop acts across the Atlantic.
Smith, 27, built his following on TikTok, signed with Sony, and now plays arenas alongside major stars.

At Croke Park, Smith was not alone. He shared the stage with The Line-Up Choir, a contemporary group based in Dublin.
“It has been an incredible year for me so far, and now to be on a stage like this is insane,” Smith told Billboard before the event. “Performing at the first-ever regular NFL season game in Dublin, in such an iconic venue, feels like another major milestone.”

TORONTO – Baseball fans in Canada should not expect a repeat of a deal that allowed Sportsnet to air a simulcast of Apple TV’s Friday Night Baseball broadcast that featured the Toronto Blue Jays last week.
As a result of the agreement, the streamer was given the rights for Friday’s game between the Blue Jays and Tampa Bay Rays.
“Apple has it exclusively,” a Sportsnet spokesperson said Thursday afternoon in an email.
Sportsnet, the Canadian team’s domestic rights-holder, reached a deal with the Blue Jays, Apple TV and Major League Baseball ahead of last Friday’s game between Toronto and Kansas City.
That matchup had the potential to be a playoff clincher for the Blue Jays. The Royals pounded Toronto 20-1 that night but the Blue Jays would secure a post-season berth two days later.

Entering Thursday’s games, there was a scenario that could have seen the Blue Jays move into a potential clinch situation for the American League East Division title on Friday.

But when Toronto defeated the Boston Red Sox 6-1 and the New York Yankees beat the Chicago White Sox 5-3, the Blue Jays’ magic number was trimmed to three. That left Saturday as the earliest possible clinch date.
Instead of airing on Sportsnet, Friday’s Jays-Rays matchup will only be shown on Apple TV+, leaving non-subscribers without a viewing option.
There were no plans to change that arrangement, a baseball source confirmed Thursday.
Almost all Blue Jays games air on Sportsnet, but a handful of Toronto games throughout the 162-game season air on Apple TV+ as part of the streamer’s partnership with MLB.
Toronto is looking to win the East crown for the first time since 2015. The Blue Jays hold the tiebreaker over the Yankees in the event they finish the regular season on Sunday with the same record.
The top two division winners will earn byes to the best-of-five division series. The other four AL playoff teams will play in best-of-three wild-card series.
Toronto made the playoffs three times between 2020 and ’23 but was swept in the wild-card series each time.
The Blue Jays haven’t won a post-season game since 2016. Toronto’s last World Series title came in 1993.

It was confirmed in August that Lineker, who left Match of the Day and the BBC after more than two decades earlier this year, would front The Box, which has been described as a mix of I’m a Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here and SAS: Who Dares Wins.
The show will see the celebrities enclosed in yellow boxes and transported to a mystery location, where they’ll face challenges – physical, mental, logical, and often funny – that they will have to navigate. The two worst-performing celebs will battle it out in The Duel at the end of every episode, with the loser eliminated.
“From my experience, the most successful teams are built on a mix of strengths and abilities, and that’s exactly what we’ve got with this line-up,” said Lineker, who beat Ant & Dec at the NTAs earlier this month. “I’m excited to be on the sideline with a front row seat to see all the action unfold!”
ITV’s director of entertainment, reality and daytime commissioning, Katie Rawcliffe, added: “We’re delighted to welcome this impressive line-up of celebrities to The Box. They will each bring a unique perspective and approach to the varying challenges they will face, and observing how they react will make for incredibly entertaining viewing for our audiences.”
The Box was first launched in Norway in January and will be produced by Twofour, which is part of ITV Studios.
Dan Adamson, chief content officer, Twofour, noted: “We are really excited to see how our brilliant cast rises to the unique challenge of The Box. Each of them brings different skills, strengths and smarts to the mix but who can step out of their yellow box and overcome the unknown to be crowned our winner?”
The Box is coming to ITV in 2026.

Though Swift brought an army of friends to cheer on Travis Kelce from one of the stadium’s VIP suite back in 2023, the pop star did not attend any of last year’s regular season away games due to her Eras Tour schedule and alleged security concerns. She did, however, make it to all but one of her partner’s home games.
It remains to be seen if Swift will attend some of her fiancé’s away games now that she’s wrapped up her world tour. While she may not be flying all over the world, the album rollout for The Life of a Showgirl might conflict with some of Kelce’s games—not to mention Selena Gomez’s upcoming wedding to Benny Blanco, which is rumored to take place by the end this month.
If Taylor Swift attends the Kansas City Chiefs game against the New York Giants on September 21, it would mark her first regular season away game in over a year. Of course, there’s already been a break in Swift’s attendance pattern in 2025.
As expected, Swift skipped the Chief’s opening game in Brazil, but she also appeared to miss the first half of their home game on September 14. According to some reports, Swift eventually snuck into Arrowhead Stadium behind a large rolling screen midway through the game and People later confirmed her attendance.

The latest Weekend Ka Vaar saw Salman Khan put Gaurav Khanna in the spotlight once again, questioning his lack of participation and visible presence in the house. Defending his stance, Gaurav clarified, “I like to stay aloof from all the abuses and aggression that happens during tasks.” However, Salman delivered a sharp reality check, saying, “Your role in the house is like a star cameo, jo poster mein nazar aata hai, but picture mein nahi dikhte.” As Gaurav continues to walk the fine line between restraint and invisibility, it remains to be seen whether he will finally rise to the occasion or fade further into the background.
On the latest Weekend Ka Vaar, Salman Khan turned his attention to Mridul, questioning his individuality and visible presence inside the house. Drawing comparisons, Salman remarked, “Jitne bade Gaurav hai TV pe, utne bade aap social media pe ho. But if you haven’t bought your followers, why have they followed you? And now that you’re not visible in the show, will they continue to like you?”
