The 18th edition of the Green Events and Innovations Conference (GEI18), returns to the Royal Lancaster Hotel in London on Tuesday, 24th February 2026.

GEI is the foremost conference for event sustainability – it sees the brightest minds gather to tackle the most poignant and pressing topics relating to event sustainability, climate change, and social action. A partnership between green event pioneers A Greener Future (AGF) and the world’s leading platform for the live music and entertainment sector, the International Live Music Conference (ILMC), GEI18 is sponsored by the world’s first green energy company Ecotricity, AEG and The O2.

The conference includes a programme jam-packed with engaging talks, panels, discussions, and case studies from music and sporting events; a climate-friendly lunch, refreshments throughout the day, and closing drinks. There are second-to-none networking opportunities in the event sustainability space; access to the International AGF Awards, celebrating the best in class for event and venue sustainability; and for the first time, free access to Soho Calling, the music showcase event organised by ILMC.

Topics already slated for discussion at GEI18 include extreme weather and operational impacts; energy; clean water and air; green touring; culture for social change and climate action; boycotts, bans, and lawsuits; and the role of events and culture in countering rising polarisation and intolerance in society by deepening connections.

“People come together at GEI to speak freely, discuss the most important issues impacting our sector, our lives, and our planet – and to be inspired. In the 18 years GEI has been running, we’ve seen an evolution in awareness and understanding of our sector’s impact and our potential. We’re very much looking forward to bringing the community together again in February ’26. The sharing of experiences, ideas, and innovations at GEI helps us to maintain our cool even while the temperatures keeps rising,” says Claire O’Neill, founder and CEO of A Greener Future.

Applications are now open for The Quick-Fire Innovation Round, a firm favourite on the GEI programme that gives a selection of delegates the chance to pitch their innovative solution or product to future clients and peers. To apply, click here.

Once the conference segment of GEI is complete, we round off the day with the International AGF Awards 2026, sponsored by Skydiamond, in which we celebrate the most innovative and greenest events, venues, organisations, and individuals from across the globe over the last 12 months. The awards span ten categories, including the prestigious International Greener Festival Award, which is this year sponsored by Earth Positive Future.

Following the awards ceremony, GEI delegates have free access to London’s newest showcase festival Soho Calling, which takes place across central London and is organised by ILMC.

GEI always features a stellar cast of outstanding speakers, with previous participants including: Brian Eno, Moby, Blaine Harrisson (Mystery Jets), Carly McLachlan (Tyndall Centre), Dale Vince OBE (Ecotricity / Grid Faeries), Danielle Magalhaes (Secretariat to the Climate Framework at UNFCCC), Dr Clair Barnes (World Weather Attribution / Imperial College London), Erik Distler (AEG), Greg Cochrane (journalist and broadcaster), Jacob Collier, Madame Gandhi, Minister for Climate Kerry McCarthy (MP Bristol East), Cathy Runciman (EarthPercent), and artist Declan McKenna.

At 95, June Squibb Is Embracing the Future

by jummy84 September 22, 2025
written by jummy84

You turn 96 later this year. Is there anything that scares you now?

I think the only thing that scares me now is what’s happening or going to happen to my body. And at my age, I probably wouldn’t even have said that five years ago. But as you get older, I think it’s something you have to deal with and think about.

How do you deal with those moments when you get scared then?

I go to Pilates once a week. Kelly and I both do. I always stretch in the morning when I first get up, and that helps. And I’ve been using a cane just for security. That helps, too. I’m not ignoring it, but it’s something I think about.

I’m proud of you for doing that and for saying that.

I have so many doctors now, it’s crazy. And they’re lovely. They’ve just been great. They all look at me like, June you’re nuts, but that’s okay.

Why do they look at you like you’re nuts?

Because I go in and I say, “I’m working again. I have another job.” And they’re like, “You’re doing what?” Also, I used to get up in the middle of the night to feed my two cats. One left us a few weeks ago, but I still have one, and I would get up in the middle of the night anywhere from 2:30 to 4:30 a.m. and feed them. And my heart doctor said, “You what?” And I said, “I get up in the middle of the night and feed my cats.” He says, “You can’t do that.” I said, “Well, I have to. They get hungry.” He was just appalled at the fact that I was getting up in the middle of the night and feeding two cats. I would get up half asleep and feed them and think nothing about it. My doctor raised hell when he found out I did that. But the one cat that’s not with us anymore was a biter. My arms are so scarred from being bitten. That’s what he’d do when he was hungry. If I had an arm out, he would find it. But to me it was like, yeah, I have to do this. They’re hungry.

Well, I kind of agree with your doc about waking up in the middle of the night to feed the cats, but I do think it’s great you’re still working and taking on new projects. It keeps you young.

Oh, it does. Yes. And I meet people. My friends are wonderful because they know I’m going to be gone for a bit working, but I’ll be back. It’s great. I love it.

By the way, you have the most beautiful skin. What do you attribute that to?

Very little. I have had no work done. It would scare me. I don’t know how women do it. Men too. I mean, I don’t know how they do it, getting cut into. I couldn’t do it. I just use soap and water on my face. I go to a facial place once a week to get a facial. Or I try to at least. I think my genes are good, also, but it’s soap and water.

That’s amazing. Meanwhile, what role would you like to take on next?

I want to do an assassin movie where I’m the assassin. It’s kind of like when I did an appearance on American Horror Story. I said, “I have to do this. It’s a vampire. I’ve never been a vampire.” And it turns out it was a leprechaun. It wasn’t a vampire, but they drank blood. Well, beet juice. But it was important to me; I could not let this go.

So after Eleanor the Great, what’s the next role for you? Before you play an assassin, of course.

Lost & Found in Cleveland, which is going to open November 6. Stacy Keach and I play husband and wife. Martin Sheen is in it and Dennis Haysbert and Jon Lovitz. It’s an antiques road show, but they do it like it’s happening in Cleveland. It’s a wonderful thing.

Eleanor the Great is in theaters on Friday, September 26. For more Icons Only features, with legends like Reba McEntire, Andie MacDowell, Jean Smart, and more, click here.

Is 'The View' Canceled? Go Behind the 2025 Rumors

Is ‘The View’ Getting Canceled? Update on the Show’s Future – Hollywood Life

by jummy84 September 20, 2025
written by jummy84

Entertainment and news media have seen shocking shake-ups in the past year. From late 2024 into early 2025, major TV anchors and hosts abruptly exited their roles at top networks, while others were cut altogether, including Stephen Colbert. The turbulence only escalated when Jimmy Kimmel’s late-night show was suspended after controversial monologue comments.

With so many high-profile changes, viewers are now speculating about who could be next. One show in particular has sparked questions: will ABC’s longtime daytime staple The View be taken off the air?

Below, Hollywood Life has a full breakdown on what’s going on and whether or not The View could be canceled.

The View Current Co-Hosts

Is 'The View' Canceled? Go Behind the 2025 Rumors
Whoopi Goldberg on ‘The View’ (ABC)

Sunny Hostin, Joy Behar, Whoopi Goldberg, Alyssa Farrah Griffin, Ana Navarro and Sara Haines are the current co-hosts of the daytime TV show. Whoopi is the longest-running co-host of The View, having worked with the show for nearly 20 consecutive seasons.

Is The View Canceled?

No, The View has not been canceled by ABC. Rumors of a cancelation have been spreading all over social media since at least 2024, with many criticizing the show for its political segments. While all co-hosts have criticized Donald Trump and his administration, the most outspoken critic on the show is Whoopi. But Joy managed to poke the bear enough to initiate a response from the White House in July 2025. She joked that Trump is “jealous” of former President Barack Obama.

“Joy Behar is an irrelevant loser suffering from a severe case of Trump Derangement Syndrome,” a White House spokesperson told multiple outlets. “It’s no surprise that The View’s ratings hit an all-time low last year. She should self-reflect on her own jealousy of President Trump’s historic popularity before her show is the next to be pulled off-air.”

The View had its highest viewership in about two years back in February 2024, according to The Wrap. At the time, Executive Producer Brian Teta told the publication that the show’s uptick in audience numbers was due, in part, to the guests they’ve invited onto the show in recent years.

“Daytime audiences turn to The View for news and politics, and this presidential election year is off to a great start,” Brian told The Wrap. “We’ve had some tremendous political guests in January including Vice President Kamala Harris, Liz Cheney and Chris Christie and just this week, we welcomed Democratic Leader Hakeem Jefferies. Politicians know that if they want to speak to an engaged audience, there’s no better place to be. There are conversations happening at this table during ‘Hot Topics,’ and with our guests during interviews that aren’t happening anywhere else on television … and we’re also having a lot of fun.”

Canceled News Shows

Toward the end of 2024 and at the start of 2025, a wide array of news shows were axed from their networks. Joy Reid‘s MSNBC show The ReidOut is reportedly being cut from the network. Previously, CBS Evening News‘ Norah O’Donnell, Today’s’s Hoda Kotb, Fox News’ Neil Cavuto and several other anchors stepped down from their positions.

Prince Harry and Prince William to reconcile ‘in the not-too-distant future’

20 September 2025

Prince Harry and Prince William will reconcile in the near future.

Prince Harry and Prince William to reconcile ‘in the not-too-distant future’

The brothers have been estranged ever since the Duke of Sussex and his wife Meghan, Duchess of Sussex, quit as senior royals and gave a tell-all interview about their issues with Royal Family in 2020 but a close pal of Harry, 41, believes they will soon patch up their relationship.

Alex Rayner, who has remained close with Harry ever since they took part in a North Pole charity trek together in 2012, told the Daily Mail’s Eden Confidential column: “As soon as the opportunity presents itself, we’ll see a wonderful embrace between the two brothers. Absolutely.

“I would hope [it will take place in the next few months]. Certainly, if not by the end of the year, then next. They’ll hug in the not-too-distant future.”

Harry recently enjoyed an hour-long meeting with his father King Charles, 76, during a solo visit to the UK, without Meghan or their children Prince Archie, six, and Princess Lilibet, four.

And, while Charles and Harry’s relationship has also been strained, particularly since the release of Harry’s tell-all book Spare in 2023, Alex insisted their bond is “indestructible”.

He said: “A rift between father and son is never that big. A father’s love for his son is pretty indestructible.”

Following the meeting with his father, Harry – who now lives in California with his family – declared that he hopes to spend more time in Britain following a successful trip.

He told The Guardian newspaper: “Yes, I have enjoyed the week.

“I have always loved the UK and I always will love the UK. It’s been good to reconnect with the causes I am passionate about. I have been able to spend some time with people that I have known for so long. It is hard to do it from far away.”

Will Mammootty return as Moothon in future Lokah films? Director Dominic Arun says it’ll take ‘lot more convincing’

by jummy84 September 14, 2025

Lokah: Chapter 1 – Chandra introduced a character called Moothon, voiced by Mammootty. Here’s what Dominic Arun says about it.

Dominic Arun’s Lokah: Chapter 1 – Chandra might have introduced Kalyani Priyadarshan as a yakshi (vampire) named Neeli/Chandra, but the superhero universe has a lot more in store. Apart from Dulquer Salmaan and Tovino Thomas’ cameos as an odiyan (shapeshifter) named Charlie and a goblin named Chathan, respectively, the film also saw Mammootty voice Moothon – the leader of these superheroes. In an interview with Pinkvilla, Dominic reveals whether the audience will see Mammootty in future films.

Mammootty’s Moothon is a leader of superheroes in Dominic Arun’s Lokah.

Dominic Arun reveals if Mammootty will return to Lokah

Dominic revealed that while discussing the story, he told Dulquer, who produced the film, that it would be his wish to see Mammootty as Moothon. When he got the chance to narrate the story, the Malayalam star initially said he would ‘think about it’. It’s only after shooting was wrapped up that the actor saw a cut of the film and agreed to dub for the character.

However, despite Moothon being an important part of the Lokah universe, Dominic isn’t sure if Mammootty will play the role. He said, “I believe Mammootty sir still needs a lot more convincing if he is to continue playing Moothon in future films.” While the character won’t be seen in the next part, which will be headlined by Tovino’s Chathan, Dominic says the leader will return for future films.

Talking about the character’s return, he said, “Not the next one, but down the line, we will get to see him in his full potential. Moothon is like the prime character in the universe, and like everyone else, I too hope it’ll happen with Mammukka.”

About Lokah: Chapter 1 – Chandra

Lokah is directed by Dominic and produced by Dulquer under Wayfarer Films; it is part of a planned five-film franchise. It has crossed the ₹200 crore mark worldwide, becoming the first female-led film in Malayalam to do so. It is also one of the highest-grossing Malayalam films ever made.

Lokah tells the story of Chandra (Kalyani) moving to India on Moothon’s orders. Her neighbour Sunny (Naslen) falls for her at first sight, only to realise there’s more to her. The misogynistic Inspector Nachiyappa Gowda (Sandy) is hot on their heels as they find themselves embroiled with an organ trafficking ring.

Young Thug Releases ‘Man I Miss My Dogs,’ Apologizes to Drake, Future

Young Thug has seemingly seen the world around him crumble with every misstep and leaked jail phone call. But now, he’s looking to right his wrongs and change the narrative.

See latest videos, charts and news

Thugger returned with the apologetic “Man I Miss My Dogs” on Thursday night (Sept. 11), which is an apology tour of sorts, as he addresses his trials and tribulations with girlfriend Mariah The Scientist, Drake, Gucci Mane, 21 Savage, Future and Lil Baby.

The YSL boss kicks off the seven-minute track apologizing to Mariah The Scientist, as he hopes to win her back after the singer stuck by him throughout his two-year-plus jail stint fighting the YSL RICO case.

“Baby I’m sorry, one of my biggest fears is losing you to the internet/ One of my biggest fears is waking up in our bed without you right by my neck/ Saying don’t you break a sweat, pillow talking ain’t my game,” a beaten-down Thugger melodically raps.

Thug also shows love to Drake, whom he allegedly dissed in a jail call, for visiting him when he was behind bars. “Drizzy, you my brother/ You know I ain’t going against you/ I got manners/ Everything you did for the rap community can’t ban you/ Never diss you/ Came to visit me at Cobb County like my kin do/ F— the jail call, you know the other calls we had,” he raps.

Next, he moves to Lil Baby, as it appears that WHAM isn’t picking up his phone calls at the moment. There’s been a clear divide in the friendship of the once powerful triumvirate of Thug, Baby and Gunna since the RICO case.

“WHAM pick up the phone, yeah talk to me it’s Spider/ Taught you everything you know about this s—t we for lifers,” Thug implores.

He also attempts to clear the air with 21 Savage, letting the Slaughter Gang honcho know they’re on good terms. “Savage you a real n—a/ Don’t let them tell you different,” Thug proclaims.

After plenty of chatter, Thug is attempting to finally control his narrative and the reclamation of the Atlanta rapper is on. He’ll have plenty more to say, as the long-awaited UY SCUTI album is slated to arrive on Sept. 19.

Young Thug Issues Apology To Mariah The Scientist, Drake, Lil Baby, Future & More After Leaked Jail Calls Spark Chaos Online

Young Thug has shared a multi-post lyrical apology to his loved ones and fellow rappers who may have been hurt by the flurry of leaked phone calls from jail.

In a lengthy Instagram post, the rapper expressed regret to those he offended, beginning with Mariah The Scientist.

“Baby, I’m sorry. One of my biggest fears is losing you to the internet,” he wrote. “F**k a jail call. I was playing. I’ll never leave you.”

He later extended an olive branch to Drake, whom he was also heard criticizing in one of the recordings over his handling of Metro Boomin following the death of Metro’s mother.

“Drizzy, you my brother. You know I ain’t going against you,” Thug wrote.

He then addressed Lil Baby directly in another post, pleading for communication.

“Wham pick up the phone, talk to me it’s Spider. Taught you everything you know about this s**t. We lifers.”

Future was also mentioned. Thug previously called him out for not organizing a “FreeYoungThug” concert while he was behind bars.

“We foundation of men, we learned that s**t from Pluto,” he wrote. “It’s all love and respect on my end.”

Will Thug be able to mend fences with everyone he name-checked?
