Giorgio Armani’s Final Bow & Anna Wintour’s Passing of the Torch.

9 September 2025

Imagine a chessboard of couture and gloss, with the two grandmasters of fashion making their final moves.

Anna Wintour

One’s gone; the other has passed the baton.

Giorgio Armani died at 91, and Anna Wintour has stepped down as editor-in-chief of Vogue.

One thing is clear – the industry’s equilibrium has shifted.

Now, the game is changing, and no one will forget in a hurry where the pieces landed.

Giorgio Armani – a fashion Titan falls

Giorgio Armani, the legendary Italian designer, affectionately known as “Re Giorgio,” passed away on September 4, 2025.

Surrounded by all who loved him, especially his family and friends, Armani died of age-related illness at his Milan home.

His trademark minimalism, from relaxed tailoring to power suits, was revolutionary and transformed the fashion landscape.

It redefined how elegance is now worn by both men and women.

Giorgio’s empire spanned not just clothing.

From fragrance to home décor, hotels, and beyond, Armani yielded an empire worth over $12 billion and a career that never lost momentum even as he prepared a 50-year retrospective for Milan Fashion Week.

After his passing, Milan paid him a respectful homage.

The public viewings drew thousands, stores were all closed, and owners couldn’t hide their tears. A private funeral was conducted in Rivalt.

As The Wall Street Journal aptly put it: Giorgio Armani was “The fashion titan who balanced softness with power,” a force whose shadow will linger in every tailored silhouette.

The Iron-Willed Visionary Steps Aside

In June 2025, after an unparalleled 37-year tenure as editor-in-chief of American Vogue, Anna Wintour stepped down but not out.

She was elevated to global leadership roles, including Global Chief Content Officer of Condé Nast, and became Global Editorial Director at Vogue, continuing to shape its creative landscape.

In early September, Vogue announced her successor: Chloé Malle, former editor of Vogue.com.

Malle assumed the editor-in-chief role of American Vogue, officially continuing Wintour’s legacy into the next era.

Fashion Industry at Crossroads

Armani’s death and Wintour’s resignation are sending ripples through runways and boardrooms alike.

Côte d’Azur and Milan are reeling from Armani’s absence, while new creatives at Chanel, Dior, and Gucci face immense pressure to honour legacy while pushing boundaries.

Wintour’s departure from the Vogue helm signals a shift from the old guard to a new, digitally savvy era.

Malle’s ascension may define how Vogue evolves in a post-Wintour, post-Armani world.

My Final Thought

With Armani’s departure, fashion loses its measured elegance.

With Wintour’s pivot, it steps away from its iron-willed editorial nucleus.

The industry’s pulse is quickening.

Who will own the next chapter? We do not know.

One thing’s for certain, however, —it’s not a moment the fashion world will forget anytime soon.

It’s that moment when Armani’s legacy, his contribution and his statements through fashion will continue to scream through the annals of history.

And the next generation, who didn’t come close to seeing what he did, will certainly know his work and name.

Ganesh Chaturthi, India’s most prominent Hindu festival, has again united people with pomp, piety, and cheer. In Mumbai, the 10-day-long celebration is characterized by colorful pandals, cultural events, and star visits to symbolically famous Ganpati mandals. Actress Swara Bhasker and her husband Fahad Ahmad were among this year’s notable visitors to many Ganesh puja mandals in Anushakti Nagar, making offerings and mixing warmly with the faithful. Swara subsequently posted photos and videos from the visit on Instagram with the caption, “Bidding Bappa farewell!

Festive Fashion and Customs Swara dressed in the festive mood in a sparkling green saree adorned with golden borders and a matching blouse. She completed her look with a gold-colored necklace, earrings, and rings, while loose waves in her hair and light makeup put the spotlight on her festive appearance.

Fahad supported her beauty with a simple maroon kurta, opting for the traditional look. The couple was felicitated at the pandals, with Swara getting sarees and stoles and Fahad being presented with a Marathi cap and flower bouquet.
Their serene involvement was a sign of profound respect towards cultural heritage, pleasing fans and enthusiasts alike.

A Love Story Based on Belief
Swara and Fahad’s relationship took shape in the CAA-NRC protests in December 2019, where they found common ground in their ideologies and became good friends. Following months of being together, Fahad asked her to marry him, and the couple got married in February 2023 through a court wedding, followed by an extravagant traditional wedding ceremony.

They had a child in September 2023, further cementing their relationship.
On-Screen Journey Together Swara and Fahad are presently featured on the reality show Pati Patni Aur Panga, which is hosted by Munawar Faruqui and Sonali Bendre. The show, which goes on air over weekends at 9:30 pm on Colors TV, presents to viewers a close-up of celebrity couples, such as Hina Khan–Rocky Jaiswal, Rubina Dilaik–Abhinav Shukla, Gurmeet Choudhary–Debina Bonnerjee, and Geeta Phogat–Pawan Kumar.

The Conjuring Last Rites Dialogues: The Final Exorcism – Ed And Lorraine Warren’s Most Terrifying Case Yet | Glamsham.com

Warner Bros. has released the highly anticipated trailer for The Conjuring: Last Rites, the fourth mainline film of the hit supernatural horror franchise. Patrick Wilson and Vera Farmiga star again as Ed and Lorraine Warren in the final installment, which takes fans back to one of the Warrens’ first encounters with evil, the Smurl haunting. The case, which is based on actual events that occurred in Pennsylvania, is about a family haunted by a demon over ten years. In contrast to earlier investigations, this time the Warrens themselves are in peril.

Franchise Connections and Lore
Fans will be quick to spot a blink-and-you’ll-miss-it cameo from the notorious Annabelle doll, sparking speculation about deeper ties to the wider Conjuring universe. The trailer also teases chilling sequences, including one where Lorraine is hunted by a possessed man while Ed struggles to save her, promising high-stakes emotional horror.

Creative Team Returns
It is directed by Michael Chaves, who directed The Conjuring: The Devil Made Me Do It before this. Producers James Wan and Peter Safran come back to guide the venture, as the script is written by Ian Goldberg, Richard Naing, and David Leslie Johnson-McGoldrick—three writers familiar with blending supernatural horror with character-driven plots.

New and Returning Cast Members
Together with Wilson and Farmiga are Mia Tomlinson as Judy Warren, the daughter of the Warrens, and Ben Hardy as her boyfriend-turned-husband, Tony Spera. Supporting them are Steve Coulter, Elliot Cowan, Rebecca Calder, Kíla Lord Cassidy, Beau Gadsdon, Shannon Kook, and John Brotherton, which should provide a solid cast to wrap up the saga.

The Final Chapter
Promising to be the final chapter of The Conjuring saga, Last Rites will provide a bittersweet conclusion to years of stories, terrors, and legend. With stakes personally higher than ever, the Warrens’ last battle with evil will bring a haunting finale to fans.

We have dialogues from the trailer of The Conjuring Last Rites. Check out The Conjuring Last Rites below:

Cyndi Lauper Performs With Joni Mitchell, Cher, SZA at Final Farewell Show

John Legend also joins singer onstage as the Girls Just Wanna Have Fun Farewell Tour concludes Saturday at the Hollywood Bowl

Cyndi Lauper performed the last show of her farewell tour Saturday at the Hollywood Bowl, where guests like Joni Mitchell, Cher, SZA and more helped send off the singer onstage.

Mitchell, in only her second public live appearance of 2025, first joined Lauper for a rendition of “Carey,” the Blue classic that Lauper herself had covered a dozen or so times in concert, including at a 2000 tribute concert for Mitchell:

For the next song, Lauper was joined onstage by John Legend, who assisted the singer on her hit “Time After Time”:

The encores featured two more surprise guests: First, SZA came out for the Lauper’s “True Colors,” while the final song of the Girls Just Wanna Have Fun Farewell Tour was, fittingly, “Girls Just Want to Have Fun,” with none other than Lauper’s friend and former tour mate Cher joining her onstage for the finale:

In an interview with Rolling Stone last fall, Lauper said of the farewell tour, “Oh gosh, it’s a bucket list. I haven’t done an arena tour since ‘86. I’m excited because I get to have all these fantastic young women on tour with me. So many years, I was told I can’t do a women’s tour because nobody will go see it. ‘Women don’t sell like men sell.’ Then I toured with Cher and we played for a million people. So bullshit.”

Trending Stories

Previous guests on the farewell tour included Sam Smith, Hayley Williams, and Mickey Guyton, who cameoed at the penultimate show at the Hollywood Bowl.

Despite the farewell, Lauper will next take the stage, presumably, at her Rock and Roll Hall of Fame induction later this year.

Cyndi Lauper performed the final show of her farewell tour at the Hollywood Bowl last night (August 30), and she was joined on stage by special guests Joni Mitchell, Cher, John Legend and SZA.

Earlier this year, Lauper announced that she would wrap up the final leg of her North American ‘Girls Just Wanna Have Fun’ farewell tour with two shows at the Hollywood Bowl on August 29 and 30.

Fans were speculating whether she would do anything special to mark the culmination of the tour, and she surprised the audience by bringing out special guests, including Joni Mitchell, Cher, John Legend and SZA.

Mitchell joined the pop musician for a rendition of ‘Carey’. This marks Mitchell’s second public appearance in 2025. Later, John Legend came on stage to duet ‘Time After Time’.  The encore featured SZA, who joined Lauper for ‘True Colours’. It ended with Cher surprising the attendees by joining Cyndi for a duet of ‘Girls Just Wanna Have Fun’.

Elsewhere, singer-songwriter Jake Wesley Rogers, who was the support act, joined for a cover of The Brains’ ‘Money Changes Everything’.

Watch some fan-captured footage of these duets, and check out the full set list below.

The ‘Goonies R Good Enough’ singer previously embarked on a North American farewell tour late last year. The run of dates saw her bring out Sam Smith at her Madison Square Garden show in NYC to perform a duet of her hit track ‘Time After Time’. She also brought out Paramore frontwoman Hayley Williams at her show in Nashville for a duet of ‘Girls Just Wanna Have Fun’.

She also opened up about why she decided to have a farewell tour while appearing as a guest on Jimmy Kimmel Live.

While she clarified that she’s by no means retiring, Lauper has ruled out “the trains, planes and automobiles”, suggesting that she’s open to the occasional hometown performance. She explained further: “I want to do an arena tour… I’m strong now, but I don’t know what I’m going to be like in four years.”

Shortly after, Lauper acknowledged her age by getting off her seat to mimic herself using a walker. “For me, I wanted to have a chance to do this when I’m feeling strong. I want to celebrate with people. Really celebrate with people, and make it fun.”

In other news, Lauper was recently nominated to be inducted into the 2025 Rock And Roll Hall Of Fame.

Inside the Surreal Final Days Before Princess Diana’s Death

by jummy84 August 31, 2025
written by jummy84

So, Diana took her friend, Egyptian business magnate and Harrods owner Mohamed Al-Fayed, up on his longstanding invitation to host her, along with William and Harry, at his vacation home in Saint-Tropez.

Dodi Fayed, Mohamed’s eldest son, showed up on July 14, a few days into the princess’ stay, docking his boat near his father’s yacht, the Jonikal. The 42-year-old movie producer was accompanied by his model fiancée Kelly Fisher, though Dodi would later deny that they were engaged.

Mohamed, who used to arrange private shopping excursions for the princess at his famed London department store after it had closed for the evening, was excited by the prospect of a love connection between Diana and his son.

Kelly left for work on July 18 and Dodi started spending more time with Diana and her sons, renting out a nightclub so they could dance in peace and taking the trio to an amusement park.

Diana called it the “best holiday of my life,” per Morton.

But in light of the tragic news, after dropping the boys back home in the U.K. she flew to Milan to attend the July 22 funeral for Versace.

‘The Summer I Turned Pretty’: Everything We Know About the Final Season

Also, the new cover of Jenny Han’s We’ll Always Have Summer, featuring Lola Tung, Chris Briney, and Gavin Casalegno, was revealed on May 5. The paperback edition of Han’s third and final book is now available for purchase on Amazon and everywhere books are sold, with Amazon also releasing an exclusive hardcover edition (both are available here).

So what else do we know about the upcoming final season? Read on for everything, and we’ll continue to keep you updated as more announcements come through.

Will all episodes of The Summer I Turned Pretty season three premiere at once?

No. On Friday, June 20, Prime Video announced that two episodes will premiere on launch day, which is Wednesday, July 16, 2025. Then a new episode will debut every Wednesday until the series finale on Wednesday, September 17, 2025. That’s good news for those of us (myself, for one) who want to savor this final season and not be in a rush to consume it all at once. On the other hand, those fans who love a binge-release model won’t be pleased, but it does follow previous seasons, which did a weekly release.

Meanwhile, it was a year ago, on May 14, 2024, that Jennifer Salke (now the former head of Amazon MGM Studios) announced that season three would debut in summer 2025, but made no mention that the season would be the final one. At the Upfront presentation for Prime Video, Salke was joined by The Summer I Turned Pretty creator, showrunner, and author Jenny Han and series regulars Lola Tung, Christopher Briney, and Gavin Casalegno.

They also released this clip at the time:

This content can also be viewed on the site it originates from.

How many episodes will there be?

There will be 11 hour-long episodes in season three. Season one consisted of only seven episodes and season two had eight.

Shopping Break Up, Share Video for Final Single “White Noise”: Watch

by jummy84 August 23, 2025
written by jummy84

Shopping have broken up. The UK post-punk trio hadn’t put out an album since 2020’s All or Nothing, but confirmed the news on Instagram last week. “After 13 years, Shopping is taking our last spin through the aisles,” the band wrote in a post on Friday, August 15. Today, they’ve also shared the new song “White Noise,” billed as their final single, with an accompanying video. Watch it below.

Formed in London, England in 2012, Shopping drew heavily from the classic post-punk of Mo-Dettes, Gang of Four, and Delta 5. The trio of guitarist Ray Aggs, bassist Billy Easter, and drummer Andrew Milk—all former members of the band Covergirl—first gained notoriety when their 2013 debut album, Consumer Complaints, was reissued by FatCat Records in 2015.

Though they repeatedly insisted that they were more interested in making people dance than offering political commentary, Shopping became known for their portrayals of queer alienation under capitalism. They shared the album Why Choose in 2015 and, in 2018, released The Official Body, which boasted a fuller sound and helped the band to reach international touring act status. Pitchfork named both The Official Body and All or Nothing as among the best rock albums of their respective years.

“This song and video are full of incredible memories, all made possible by the love and support of our fans,” Shopping wrote of “White Noise” on Instagram. “You’ve taken us far and wide on so many adventures, and we’re truly thankful for every single moment. It’s bittersweet, but mostly we feel grateful for you, our community, and for all the joy and noise we’ve made together. See you tomorrow 🫶”

Audra McDonald Shares Fan Followed Her Home After Final ‘Gypsy’ Show

by jummy84 August 20, 2025
written by jummy84

Broadway legend Audra McDonald recently issued a PSA to fans after being followed home by an entitled stranger.

On Sunday (Aug. 17), the actress recounted the terrifying event in an Instagram video captioned, “Some thoughts on boundaries.”

Following her final performance as Mama Rose in Gypsy, McDonald shared, “Last night, someone—I don’t even know if they did the stage door or not—but they snuck around and found me the way I had exited from the theatre.” She explained that the fan followed her to where she was staying, “came into the building, and was uncomfortably close.”

Broadway Star Audra McDonald Said A Fan Followed Her Home Because They Thought They “Deserved” An Autograph, And People Are Scared For Her

? When a fan thinks they “deserve” an autograph so much that they follow Broadway legend @AudraEqualityMc home. ? Just a reminder, folks… pic.twitter.com/jwjPVsYkOT

— Bulletin (@agent_bulletin) August 17, 2025

She was able to get help from security, but the fan responded, “‘Well, hey, I’ve come all the way,’” she recalled. “They named some town, some city that they’ve come all the way from. They wanted an autograph and felt that they deserved an autograph.”

McDonald admits that she doesn’t always hang around post-show to preserve her vocal health, “whatever energy I have,” and to get home to her young daughter. For other actors, she cited anxiety, health concerns, exhaustion, and more as one of the reasons why they may not greet fans after a show. However, the 55-year-old acknowledged that this restricted access is a boundary that needs to be respected.

“That is crossing a big old boundary,” she emphasized. “I just want to call that out, that’s a big no-no. That’s now messing with my safety. It’s not right.”

As a message to other fans, she urged, “When you see an actor leave the stage door, if they don’t stop, leave them alone. There is a reason that they’re not stopping, and it has nothing to do with you. It’s them protecting their space and peace, whatever that may be.”

After her final performance, McDonald shared, “Saying goodbye to Rose and to my incredible @gypsybway family. I couldn’t have wished for a more brilliant, fierce, joyous, kind and loving group of souls with which to travel this road. I don’t even have the words to express how much I love them all. My head is full of gorgeous memories, my body is tired, and my heart is full of nothing but gratitude and love.”
