When Is Erika Slezak’s Final ‘General Hospital’ Episode? Could Ronnie Return?

by jummy84 November 6, 2025
written by jummy84

What To Know

  • Erika Slezak’s final episode as Veronica “Ronnie” Bard on General Hospital airs November 6, concluding her three-week guest stint.
  • Slezak worked closely with Jane Elliot and Genie Francis, describing the experience as a professional highlight and praising the welcoming atmosphere on set.
  • Both Slezak and executive producer Frank Valentini expressed openness to Ronnie’s potential return.

Erika Slezak will wrap up her visit as General Hospital‘s Veronica “Ronnie” Bard on November 6, when Monica’s long-lost sibling returns to North Carolina.

Slezak, a six-time Daytime Emmy winner for her 41-year run as One Life to Live‘s Victoria Lord Buchanan, hadn’t acted on a soap since the Prospect Park reboot in 2013, but thoroughly enjoyed her three-week comeback. “It’s been very, very nice,” she told TV Insider before her first air date on September 26. “The story and the character are so completely different. I was always Viki, confident and strong. This is a totally different character, and I’m trying to find my way through it. It’s working. I think they seem happy.”

Her primary scene partner was Jane Elliot (Tracy Quartermaine), who was a big draw for Slezak. “I had met Jane many years ago,” Slezak relays. “She came to One Life to observe as a director or a producer, and I knew who she was. I went over and introduced myself, and we chatted a little bit. She’s a wonderfully delightful lady. It is amazing that she can play so mean. When Frank [Valentini, executive producer] said, ‘You’re going to be working a lot with Jane Elliot,’ I went, ‘Yes, I will do it, yes, because that would be such a treat to work with such a talented, terrific lady.’ Jane is a master class in acting. Every time she steps on the set, she is remarkable. You really have to bring your A game.”

Disney/Bahareh Ritter

Another legendary performer she shared screen time with was Genie Francis (Laura Collins).  “It was almost the end by the time I got to work with her and I kept thinking, ‘Where the hell is Genie?’ Because I was in her dressing room the whole time,” Slezak told Soap Opera Digest. “And then they said, ‘She’s coming tomorrow! And when I finally got to work with her, it was wonderful, because I hadn’t seen Genie since we were backstage at The View [years ago]. She was wonderful, and again, so nice.”

While in Port Charles, Ronnie was roped into Martin Gray’s (Michael E. Knight) scheme to make it look like Monica left the Quartermaine mansion to Ronnie, though she really bequeathed it to Tracy. Once the ruse was exposed, and Monica’s real will left Ronnie money to start over in Durham, Slezak’s run came to an end.

“I will take away lovely, wonderful memories, because I was treated so well and so kindly, and that makes a huge difference,” Slezak reflects of her time in Port Charles. “When you’re all together for five days a week, for years, it becomes a family. One Life was my family as much as my real family. I mean, I didn’t love them, but I liked them, and they were my family because I spent so much time with them, and I’m going to take that away from here, too. This was my family for a short time.”

One that she wouldn’t mind revisiting. “It was delightful, it was terrific, it was a pleasure,” she raved to Digest. “Ronnie grew through this whole process, and learned — and yes, I would be open to coming back.”

Executive Producer Frank Valentini tells TV Insider exclusively, “We thoroughly loved having Erika here and the door is open for her to return.”

Doomsday’ reported to be Patrick Stewart’s final acting role

by jummy84 November 5, 2025
written by jummy84

Avengers: Doomsday will reportedly be the final acting role in the career of Patrick Stewart.

The film is set to be released in cinemas on December 18, 2026 and it will feature the return of Robert Downey Jr. to the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU), this time in the role of the supervillain Doctor Doom.

The Avengers, the Wakandans, the Fantastic Four, the New Avengers and the original X-Men will all team up to take on Doctor Doom in the film, and among them will be Stewart as Charles Xavier, aka Professor X, and Ian McKellen’s Magneto.

Now, it has been reported that Stewart, who is 85, will give up acting once the film is completed. As discussed on The Kristian Harloff Show on November 3, Stewart will supposedly be “done with acting” and will be “stepping down” after Doomsday.

Stewart is one of the most respected actors of his generation, having studied at the Royal Shakespeare Company and earning a reputation as a stage actor, winning two Olivier Awards. He achieved new levels of fame playing Jean-Luc Picard in Star Trek: The Next Generation from 1987 to 1994, reprising the role in the 2020 spinoff series.

He played Professor X in Fox’s original trio of X-Men films from 2000 to 2006 and after Disney’s acquisition of Fox, he has become a part of the MCU, appearing in 2022’s Doctor Strange In The Multiverse Of Madness.

Doomsday will be the 39th film in the MCU and the fifth Avengers movie and will see the return of directors Anthony and Joe Russo, who also helmed Infinity War and Endgame among other MCU titles.

Chris Hemsworth, Anthony Mackie and Paul Rudd will return as Thor, Captain America and Ant-Man respectively, as will Letitia Wright as Shuri, aka Black Panther, and Vanessa Kirby, Pedro Pascal, Ebon Moss-Bachrach and Joseph Quinn will bring their Fantastic Four characters into the Avengers world.

Florence Pugh, Sebastian Stan, Wyatt Russell, Lewis Pullman and David Harbour will also be a part of the film as the New Avengers, as established in Thunderbolts* earlier this year, while Ryan Reynolds is also reported to be making an appearance as Deadpool.

Earlier this year, Avengers: Doomsday was moved from May 2026 to December, giving the production extra time to finish up but leaving fans impatient. One of the film’s cast, Alan Cumming, confirmed the return of his X-Men character Nightcrawler in the film.

The fourth season of “Bel-Air” will debut on Nov. 24 with its first three episodes. New episodes will drop weekly on Mondays with two episodes on December 1 and three episodes on December 8. An unexpected power shift will threaten the brotherhood between Phil and Geoffrey, whose loyalties to the Banks family will be tested. A Final Trailer for del Toro’s ‘Frankenstein’ Reveals the Monster Himself

“I must confess – I never considered what would come after creation.” The story of a monster & his unique creation. Netflix has revealed one final trailer for Guillermo del Toro’s new Frankenstein movie, his uniquely gothic and extra dark take on this classic story from author Mary Shelley. After premiering at the 2025 Venice & Telluride Film Festivals (read my review) it will be streaming on Netflix starting next week. This trailer finally gives us a much better look at his monster – as played by Jacob Elordi in one of the best performances of the year. Oscar-winning director Guillermo del Toro adapts the tale of Victor Frankenstein, a brilliant but egotistical scientist who brings a creature to life in a monstrous experiment that ultimately leads to the undoing of both the creator and his tragic creation. The phenomenal cast includes Oscar Isaac as Victor and Jacob Elordi as his “monster”, with Mia Goth, Christoph Waltz, Felix Kammerer, Lars Mikkelsen, David Bradley, Charles Dance, Christian Convery, and Ralph Ineson. The movie has already been playing in theaters for a few weeks and will be playing on Netflix soon – hence why they’re giving it one big push with this final trailer. Catch on the big screen if you can, either way it’s worth a watch.

Here’s the final trailer (+ art poster) for Guillermo del Toro’s take on Frankenstein, direct from YouTube:

You can rewatch the official trailer for Guillermo del Toro’s Frankenstein movie right here and teaser here.

“In seeking life, I created death…” Inspired by the classic novel originally published in 1818. Set in Eastern Europe in the 19th Century, Dr. Pretorious (Christoph Waltz) has to track down Frankenstein’s Monster (Jacob Elordi)—believed to have died in a fire some 40 years before—in order to continue the macabre experiments of Dr. Victor Frankenstein (Oscar Isaac). “Only Monsters Play God.” Frankenstein is directed by visionary Mexican filmmaker Guillermo del Toro, director of the films Cronos, Mimic, The Devil’s Backbone, Blade II, Hellboy I & II, Pan’s Labyrinth, Crimson Peak, The Shape of Water, Nightmare Alley, and the animated Pinocchio previously, as well as lots of producing work plus other projects. The screenplay is also written by Guillermo del Toro, based on Mary Shelley’s iconic book “Frankenstein; or, The Modern Prometheus.” Produced by Guillermo del Toro, Scott Stuber, J. Miles Dale. It premiered at the 2025 Venice & Telluride Film Festivals. Netflix releases del Toro’s Frankenstein in select US theaters first on October 17th, 2025, then streaming on Netflix starting November 7th this fall. How’s that look? Want to watch?

Final Season of Netflix Hit Begins

by jummy84 October 30, 2025
written by jummy84

Nine years and five seasons later, Netflix‘s flagship series is finally coming to an end. “Stranger Things” will debut its fifth and final season this November, and the streamer has released a new trailer for the installment, promising a huge final battle for the beloved cast of characters.

Set in the fictional small town of Hawkins, Indiana, during the nostalgic days of the 1980s, “Stranger Things” follows a group of civilians — ranging from adults to teenagers — who encounter threats from the Upside Down, an alternate dimension teaming with monsters. Season 4 saw the cast confront the mysterious Vecna (Jamie Campbell Bower), an incredibly powerful telepath, in a battle that left Hawkins devastated and expanded the rift between the Earth and the Upside Down.

The trailer for Season 4 shows a bit of the fallout from the events of Season 4, as Hawkins is now under military quarantine from the United States government to contain the monsters of the Upside Down. In order to save the town, the kids agree to go on one final adventure to find and kill Vecna, who himself has plans involving Will Byers (Noah Schnapp).

The logline for the season reads: “The fall of 1987. Hawkins is scarred by the opening of the Rifts, and our heroes are united by a single goal: find and kill Vecna. But he has vanished — his whereabouts and plans unknown. Complicating their mission, the government has placed the town under military quarantine and intensified its hunt for Eleven, forcing her back into hiding. As the anniversary of Will’s disappearance approaches, so does a heavy, familiar dread. The final battle is looming — and with it, a darkness more powerful and more deadly than anything they’ve faced before. To end this nightmare, they’ll need everyone — the full party — standing together, one last time.”

“Stranger Things” first premiered in July 2016, receiving critical acclaim and becoming a massive word-of-mouth hit for the streamer. Currently, the fourth season is the most-watched season of TV in Netflix’s history according to its own internal metrics, only ranking behind Season 1 of “Wednesday” and the limited series “Adolescence.” The series has also spawned a large multimedia franchise, including an ongoing Broadway stage production, “Stranger Things: The First Shadow,” and an upcoming animated series, “Stranger Things: Tales From ’85.”

The series was created by identical twin team Matt and Ross Duffer, who also showrun and executive produce the series via their Upside Down Productions banner. Following the conclusion of the final season, the two will depart Netflix for Paramount, where they signed a four-year deal to produce new content for the studio. Shawn Levy of 21 Laps Entertainment and Dan Cohen also produce.

Season 5 features a huge ensemble cast that includes Bower, Schnapp, Winona Ryder, David Harbour, Millie Bobby Brown, Finn Wolfhard, Gaten Matarazzo, Caleb McLaughlin, Sadie Sink, Natalia Dyer, Charlie Heaton, Joe Keery, Maya Hawke, Priah Ferguson, Brett Gelman, Cara Buono, Amybeth McNulty, Nell Fisher, Jake Connelly, Alex Breaux, and Linda Hamilton. The season will be split into three parts: the first, consisting of four episodes, will arrive on November 26. Three more episodes will debut on Christmas, and the finale arrives on New Year’s Eve. Each volume will debut on the streamer at 5 p.m. PT/8 p.m. ET.

“Everything a blockbuster should be!” It’s time to watch them battle (again)! Variance Films & Arka have launched final trailers for Baahubali: The Epic, a remastered + recut version of the two-part Baahubali epic series of movies. Arriving in theaters worldwide THIS weekend. Directed by S.S. Rajamouli, who later went on to make the world-shattering RRR, he also directed these two massive action movies Baahubali: The Beginning (2015) and Baahubali 2: The Conclusion (2017). Now he’s combined both into one big film, bringing together footage from both with technical enhancements and previously unseen scenes added in. When a lost prince is rescued and raised in exile, he grows up unaware of his past. Years later, he returns to uncover the truth about his father’s murder and his mother’s imprisonment, and will rise to reclaim his place as the rightful king. Yes he will! Rajamouli’s Baahubali: The Epic stars Prabhas in dual roles, with Rana Daggubati, Anushka, Tamannaah Bhatia, Ramya Krishnan, Sathyaraj, and Nassar. For the uninitiated, these movies are totally awesome – as epic as anything can ever be. And this is a proper exciting, thrilling, spectacular big screen experience following a riveting story about this prince. Enjoy it in theaters.

Here’s the final official trailers (+ poster) for S.S. Rajamouli’s Baahubali: The Epic, direct from YouTube:

Now, the epic tale of royalty, revenge, kings, and wars has been personally re-edited by the master himself into a single unforgettable cinematic experience, with fully remastered picture and sound (and a few new surprises), so audiences can reunite to experience the euphoria the way it was intended: on the big screen. When a lost prince (Prabhas) is rescued & raised in exile, he grows up unaware of his past. Years later, he returns to uncover the truth about his father’s murder and his mother’s imprisonment, and must rise to reclaim his place as the rightful king. UPDATE: Reneé Rapp has moved the concert set for Wednesday night (Oct. 29) in Charlotte, North Carolina, to next week, on Nov. 7. “As of right now, I still don’t have a voice,” she wrote on her Instagram Story. “I’m recovering slowly but not in a place where I am able to perform safely … at my hometown show- I am so sorry and heartbroken that I have to postpone.”

PREVIOUSLY: Reneé Rapp has been criss-crossing North America for the past month on her headlining Bite Me tour. But over the weekend, the singer and former Sex Lives of College Girls star had to pump the brakes on two planned late-tour dates on doctor’s orders.

“In my career I have never had to do this before — but I have to reschedule tonight and tomorrow’s shows,” she wrote on Sunday on her Instagram Story of the gig originally planned for Sunday (Oct. 26) at State Farm Arena in Atlanta and another scheduled for Monday (Oct 27) at the Yuengling Center in Tampa, Fla. “I’ve been pushing through an illness but my body has finally given out. My doctors have told me that it isn’t safe to perform due to the need for vocal rest and physical recovery” she added.

Rapp told fans that the Tampa show will now take place on Nov. 4 and the Atlanta stop has been pushed to Nov. 5. All original tickets will be honored for the new dates. In the meantime, Rapp said, the show scheduled for the Spectrum Centre in Charlotte, N.C. on Wednesday (Oct. 29) is still scheduled to move forward as planned.

“I truly appreciate how much time, planning and preparation goes into coming to a show,” Rapp wrote. “I can’t describe to you how sorry I am to have to move things around. I love you all and I will see you soon.”

After the final three North American dates, Rapp will be back on the road in early 2026 for a European swing that is slated to kick off on March 11 at Lotto Arena in Antwerp, Belgium and keep her on the road through a March 22 show at the 3Arena in Dublin, Ireland.

Billboard’s Live Music Summit will be held in Los Angeles on Nov. 3. For tickets and more information click here.
