Ace Frehley‘s death turned the rock ‘n’ roll world upside down. The 74-year-old KISS co-founder and lead guitarist died after falling at home in October 2025, his family confirmed. As fellow musicians and peers keep his memory alive, Hollywood Life has compiled a few of the tributes dedicated to Ace, including from his former KISS bandmates.

KISS: Gene Simmons & Paul Stanley

Ace’s KISS bandmates Gene Simmons and Paul Stanley released a joint public statement, obtained by Variety, which read, “We are devastated by the passing of Ace Frehley. He was an essential and irreplaceable rock soldier during some of the most formative foundational chapters of the band and its history. He is and will always be a part of Kiss’s legacy. Our thoughts are with Jeanette, Monique and all those who loved him, including our fans around the world.”

Paul Stanley

Paul wrote a separate tribute to his late bandmate in an X post alongside a black-and-white photo that featured Ace.

“I remember 1974 being in my room at the Hyatt on Sunset in L.A., and I heard someone playing deep and fiery guitar in the room next door,” Paul tweeted. “I thought ‘Boy, I wish THAT guy was in the band!’ I looked over the balcony… He was. It was Ace. This is my favorite photo of us…”

Peter Criss

Fellow KISS member Peter Criss also tweeted an old photo alongside the caption, “I’m shocked!!! My friend… I love you! #KissArmy #AceFrehley #Kiss #Spaceman.”

Pearl Jam

Mike McCready of Pearl Jam penned a touching tribute via X, calling the late KISS co-founder his “hero.”

“I heard about Ace Frehley‘s passing from Rick Friel who I played with in a band called Shadow,” Mike began. “Rick was also the first guy on the bus in 1977 with a KISS lunchbox to tell me about Ace…just changed my life. I got a guitar in 1978 to join Rick‘s band Warrior which turned into Shadow. We covered ‘C’mon and Love Me.’ All my friends have spent untold hours talking about KISS and buying KISS stuff. Ace was a hero of mine and also I would consider a friend. I studied his solos endlessly over the years… Just listen to ‘Alive,’ I used his solo from ‘She’ as a template. Ace jammed on ‘Black Diamond’ with Pearl Jam at Madison Square Garden…a dream come true for me. I would not have picked up a guitar without Ace and KISS’s influence. RIP it out Ace, you changed my life. Thank you. – Mike.”

Diane Keaton’s cause of death revealed by family – National

Diane Keaton’s cause of death has been released days after the Oscar-winning actor died at the age of 79.

The Annie Hall actor died in California on Oct. 11, surrounded by loved ones, her family confirmed.

“The Keaton family are very grateful for the extraordinary messages of love and support they have received these past few days on behalf of their beloved Diane, who passed away from pneumonia on October 11,” Keaton’s family said in a statement to People on Wednesday.

Her family went on to share the causes she was passionate about.

“She loved her animals and she was steadfast in her support of the unhoused community, so any donations in her memory to a local food bank or an animal shelter would be a wonderful and much appreciated tribute to her,” they added.

The unexpected news of Keaton’s death was met with shock around the world.

“Don’t know who first posted this, but it sums up our delightful relationship with Diane,” Martin wrote in the caption.

Cynthia Nixon, who worked with Keaton on the film Five Flights Up, wrote, “When I was a kid, Diane Keaton was my absolute idol. I loved her acting. I love her vibe. I love her everything.”

Keaton made her film debut in the 1970 romantic comedy Lovers and Other Strangers, but her big breakthrough would come a few years later when she was cast in Francis Ford Coppola’s The Godfather, which won best picture and became one of the most beloved films of all time. And yet even she hesitated to return for the sequel, though after reading the script, she decided otherwise.

Keaton also played a businessperson who unexpectedly inherits an infant in Baby Boom, the mother of the bride in the beloved remake of Father of the Bride, a newly single woman in The First Wives Club, and a divorced playwright who gets involved with Jack Nicholson’s music executive in Something’s Gotta Give.

Diane Keaton died from pneumonia, according to a new statement from her family.

“The Keaton family are very grateful for the extraordinary messages of love and support they have received these past few days on behalf of their beloved Diane, who passed away from pneumonia on October 11th,” reads a statement shared to PEOPLE.

The Oscar-winning actress passed away on Saturday, October 11th, at the age of 79.

A source told PEOPLE that Keaton’s health declined “very suddenly,” and she spent her final months “surrounded only by her closest family, who chose to keep things very private. Even longtime friends weren’t fully aware of what was happening.”

Her family asks that any donations made in her memory be given to a local animal shelter or food bank, explaining that she “loved her animals and she was steadfast in her support of the unhoused community.”

D’Angelo’s death has rocked fans and fellow artists, but nobody is feeling the weight of this grief more than his children.

His 26-year-old daughter, Imani Archer, penned a tribute to her father on Instagram, whom she desribed as her “biggest hype man, protector, biggest musical inspiration, the kindest and most selfless man,” and of course, “the best father anyone could’ve ever had.”

The blossoming singer wrote, “Dear daddy, there are no words to describe this immeasurable loss. I’m in absolute disbelief and shock […] No one will EVER measure up to how brave and strong you are. Till the very end, you made sure to protect me from anything that would scare or hurt me.”

Archer continued, “I love you so much Daddy. I wish I had more time to spend with you. For you to show me new music, play piano with me to our favorite songs, or to go back and forward about our favorite go to meals. You’re a one of a kind soul, and I’m so grateful you chose me to be your daughter.”

Archer promised to “never forget all of your advice and things you’ve told me on how to get through this life,” adding, “Dad…I miss you more than life and this is breaking my heart into a million pieces. I wish I could hold your hand just one more time. I will forever honor you and carry on your legacy Dad. Everything I do will always be for you. I’m gonna miss you and hearing your voice every single day. I’ll always be your BabyGirl.”

The post concluded with the hashtag, “F**kCancer.”

It was announced on Tuesday (Oct. 14) that D’Angelo died at age 51 after a private battle with pancreatic cancer.

His eldest son with the late Angie Stone also made a brief statement following his death. “I just sat here watchin my daddy die after feeling like it was the first time he and I were truly building. He was there when I needed him the most after the passing of momma. Unfortunately, time ran out,” said Michael Archer II.

D’Angelo does have a third child, a boy assumed to be named Morocco, that he’s kept out of the public eye.

Karan Tacker recalled, “Pankaj ji was the first senior actor I had the privilege to work with in Rang Badalti Odhani. He treated me like a son, with so much kindness and affection. His passing was a shock, but he will always be remembered with love and respect. My deepest condolences to his family.”

Ishita Dutta shared her feelings, “Hearing the news gave me goosebumps. Working with him was a privilege. He used to bring sandwiches from home just for me and would always save some home-cooked food for me. Everyone who worked with him knew what an incredible person he was. Sadly, I only met him once after the show, and it reminds us how short life is. My prayers are with his family.”

Vatsal Sheth

Vatsal Sheth expressed his sorrow, “It’s very shocking and sad. I had the honour of working with him in my first film, Tarzan and on a show with Ishita. We spent a lot of time together in Goa, where he always made sure everyone was comfortable. He would bring buttermilk for the team every day, even in the heat.”

Tanuj Virwani

Tanuj Virwani reflected, “I worked with him on Poison in 2019. Though we only shared two days on set, he was a wonderful, sporting co-star. He knew my mother, Rati Agnihotri, and was very courteous to me. He would rehearse lines with me before scenes. I’m saddened by his passing, especially since I grew up watching him. I had no idea he was battling cancer, and his loss is a big blow to the industry.”

Beyond his legendary role in Mahabharat, Pankaj Dheer appeared in popular TV series like Chandrakanta, The Great Maratha, Kanoon, and Sasural Simar Ka. His notable films include Saugandh (1991), Sadak (1991), Baadshah (1999), Soldier (1998), and Tarzan: The Wonder Car (2004). His last rites will be performed at Pawan Hans crematorium in Mumbai’s Santacruz at 4 PM today.

Medical Examiner Finds Ellen Greenberg’s Death a Suicide

Dr. Lindsay Simon, the chief medical examiner for the city of Philadelphia, has found Ellen Greenberg’s death to be a suicide.

Hulu miniseries Death in Apartment 603: What Happened to Ellen Greenberg? recently brought to light the unusual circumstances surrounding Greenberg’s death. The three-part documentary series also served among the “Materials Reviewed” for Dr. Simon to reach her conclusion.

Greenberg’s death is unusual for a suicide. She was found dead in early 2011 by her fiancé, Sam Goldberg, with a knife sticking out of her chest, 20 noted stab wounds (three more incisions would be found later by Simon) and 11 contusions. That doesn’t sound like a suicide, but one piece of evidence overruled foul play — Greenberg and Goldberg’s shared apartment door had been latched from the inside.

Goldberg had to physically break through the latch to find Greenberg in the kitchen. There were no signs of struggle in the apartment, no valuables missing and no one else’s DNA (including Goldberg’s) on the knife protruding from Greenberg’s torso. Their apartment building had 24/7 security and was equipped with several cameras, which captured footage of Goldberg’s alibi — a visit to the gym. Though really it was the logistics of the door latch that led first responders to their conclusion.

There were no cameras in the hallways to capture Goldberg forcibly entering their apartment. Cell phone records show Goldberg called and texted Greenberg asking her to unlatch the door dozens of times. Greenberg’s death was ruled a suicide on the scene, a decision that did not preserve the apartment properly for additional study.

Greenberg had a history of emotional struggles, primarily anxiety. Greenberg, a young teacher, had been feeling especially anxious about getting grades in by a deadline. She expressed the feelings with various individuals, and there was no evidence of domestic violence or other issues between Greenberg and Goldberg. Goldberg has since married and started a family; he declined to participate in the Hulu miniseries.

Greenberg’s family and friends did not accept the ruling of suicide, and an autopsy agreed with them. Subsequent reports from various consultants were a mixed bag, with some finding homicide and others suicide. The consultants’ reports were also among Simon’s reviewed materials.

Simon’s report found no defensive wounds on Greenberg’s body, which was consistent with other reports, and identified numerous “hesitation wounds” — shallow incisions consistent with being initial attempts at self harm. Hesitation wounds are exploratory, for lack of a better word, neither deep nor (in most cases) deadly.

Greenberg’s stab wounds were all on her posterior head/neck, right neck and central front torso, Simon found. “While the distribution of injuries is admittedly unusual, the fact remains that Ellen would be capable of inflicting these injuries herself,” she wrote.

“With all of the information considered … Greenberg’s death is best classified as ‘Suicide,’” Simon concluded.
