Comedian Ken Flores’ Cause Of Death Revealed

by jummy84 September 6, 2025
written by jummy84

The cause of death has been revealed for Ken Flores.

The stand-up comic and Latin XL producer died of cocaine toxicity, according to the Los Angeles County Medical Examiner’s office report. Flores also had a history of congestive heart failure, the report said. The manner of death was ruled an accident.

Flores died at his Los Angeles home on January 28. According to TMZ, which cited law enforcement sources, first responders arrived at Flores’ residence and administered CPR, but he was pronounced dead at the scene.

His family announced his death on social media.

“It is with great sadness that we confirm the untimely passing of our friend, brother, and son, Kenyi Flores,” read the statement on Instagram. “Please respect our privacy at this time as we are all shocked and devastated by this loss.”

Flores’ passing prompted an outpouring of remembrances from comedy clubs and fellow comedians.

The Hollywood Improv paid tribute to the late comedian sharing photos of him performing on stage.

“We were honored to share your talent on our stages. You were greatness, and it was only a matter of time until the whole world saw it,” read the Instagram post. “You were also kind and a tremendous friend to all lucky enough to know you. We love you Ken, thank you for all the laughs.”

The Laugh Factory in L.A. wrote in a post on social media, “Rest in peace, make god laugh.” Hollywood Improv added, “We were honored to give him a stage to share his talent. Sending so much love to his family and the comedy community 🖤🤍.”

At the time of his death, Flores was halfway through the first leg of his Butterfly Effect tour, which began in Portland, Oregon, on Jan. 10 and was set to wrap up in San Diego in April.

Flores produced the LatinXL Comedy Show, a showcase for Latin comedy talent.

Today Show’s Sheinelle Jones Returns, Opens Up About Husband’s Death

by jummy84 September 6, 2025
written by jummy84

NBC Today anchor Sheinelle Jones is opening up about the loss of her husband, nearly four months after he passed away from a rare form of brain cancer.

After taking a leave of absence, Jones, the co-host of Today’s third hour, returned to Today on Friday, where a pre-taped interview with her and co-anchor Savannah Guthrie aired, marking Jones’ first time discussing in-depth her husband’s battle and death. Jones had been absent from the show all year while her husband Uche Ojeh battled glioblastoma. Ojeh died in May at age 45.

“My heart is shattered in a million pieces,” Jones told Guthrie in the pre-taped interview. “The life that I’ve known since I was 19 is no more. I’ve always wanted kids, and I have three kids of my own now and they’ve lost their dad. And I’m their mom. It sucks.”

Jones described the moment in time as a “beautiful nightmare” and deals with her pain “day to day.”

Jones said it ordeal felt “scary,” “divine” and “bigger than us,” but they were at their “best” when they were just together. When reflecting on their time at the hospital, Jones said the nurses would call her and Ojeh “love birds” given they would “just hold hands” and “look at each other and say, ‘I love you.’” She also felt like it was “full circle moment” given they’d just sit with each other, enjoy each other’s company and not talk like they did during their college years.

“That’s what I mean by ‘beautiful nightmare,’ because I found beauty in the nightmare. And trust me, it is a nightmare to watch a 45-year-old do two triathlons and live and breathe off of soccer and his kids.” Jones explained. “To take a guy like that and watch him have to deal with this fight was a nightmare. But the way he fought it and the way we rallied together and the way we saw the best of humanity, that was beautiful.”

Jones revealed that she knew about Ojeh’s diagnosis prior to running a marathon and more than a year before she took a leave of absence from Today. But she reiterates she was not “faking” anything. ”I thought, ‘I’m not faking it. My joy is real.’ I was on television for almost a year with this,” she said. “I would do the show and then hop in the car and go be with him during chemo.”

Despite the tough battle, Jones said she “believed that he was going to be okay. I knew it was gonna be tough, but we all believed that he would be fine.” And she took a leave of absence to not miss any moments. “I was his oxygen sometimes,” she said.

After experiencing the loss, Jones said she doesn’t “run away from crying anymore when it comes to grief,” calling it her “cleansing rain.”

“I watched him in his toughest moments, his faith is what gave him peace,” Jones explained. “So I think, ‘Okay, if Uche can have faith, when his life is on the line, surely I can and surely we all can.’”

As she returns to Today, Jones said she hopes that she can encourage anyone to be strong even in a time of grief and remember that ”cancer doesn’t have to steal our joy. We can get up, we can get out of bed, and we can go to work, we can go to school, we can squeeze the most out of the days that we have. And honestly, I feel like Uche’s heartbeat lives on in mine. So I owe it to him to just squeeze the most I can out of this thing.”

She added, ”If you see me now and you see me laughing, or you turn on the morning show and I’m laughing or having a good time, you root for me because I’m fighting for my joy.”

She and Ujeh had been married nearly two decades, first meeting at Northwestern University. They share three kids. Jones has been with the Today show for more than a decade, joining the morning program’s weekend edition in 2014. In 2019, Jones was named co-host of the show’s third hour.

Priscilla Presley's Lawsuit Reveals New Details of Lisa Marie’s Death

Priscilla Presley’s Lawsuit Reveals New Details of Lisa Marie’s Death

by jummy84 September 6, 2025
written by jummy84

The former business advisers who claim Priscilla Presley prematurely ”pulled the plug” on her daughter for financial gain have filed an amended complaint purportedly shedding new light on Lisa Marie Presley’s final hours.

The new complaint, filed in Los Angeles County Superior Court, attaches two pages said to be from Pricilla’s upcoming memoir, Softly, As I Leave You: Life After Elvis, due to publish on Sept. 23. The excerpts appear to offer a detailed account of the day Elvis’ only child died inside a San Fernando Valley community hospital from complications surrounding a small bowel obstruction linked to a prior bariatric surgery.

According to the pages labeled as court exhibits, Priscilla rushed to her daughter’s bedside and was holding her hand, stroking her face, and telling her she was loved as family members gathered. Lisa Marie’s eldest daughter, Riley Keough, was on a plane to join them when a “code blue” emergency alarm indicated Lisa Marie’s heart had stopped, the pages read.

“The next thing I remember is the doctor talking to me. He asked me what I wanted him to do. They had restarted Lisa’s heart, but there was no guarantee it would keep beating,” Priscilla purportedly writes. “I asked the doctor, ‘What kind of life will she have if we keep her on that machine?’ He looked at me with compassion and shook his head. ‘No quality of life at all.’”

In the excerpts, Priscilla allegedly claims Lisa Marie had “little brain activity” and that the daughter she knew as “always so vital, wasn’t there.”

“I thought about my girl, my wild, rebellious, passionate girl, lying in a vegetative state for the rest of her life,” she wrote, according to the exhibits. “I said what I had to. ‘Take her off the machine, Doctor.’ My voice was barely above a whisper.” She then broke down and blacked out.

“It was unbearable. I began to sob. I don’t remember falling,” she purpotedly wrote. “After that, everything went dark. … I don’t want to remember.”

Editor’s picks

Priscilla’s reps had no immediate comment when asked about the book excerpts on Friday. Her lawyers, Marty Singer and Wayne Harman, previously called the first version of the $50 million fraud and breach-of-contract lawsuit, filed last month by Priscilla’s former business advisers Brigitte Kruse and Kevin Fialko, “one of the most shameful, ridiculous, salacious, and meritless lawsuits” they had ever seen.

On Friday, Singer and Harman issued a new statement focusing on other claims in the amended complaint that alleged Priscilla pushed Elvis to an early grave. According to the new complaint, Priscilla’s efforts to increase her divorce settlement “exerted undue pressure on Elvis, pushing him to his death.”

“Priscilla did not have anything to do with the assassination of JFK, she did not cover up Area 51, she did not fake the moon landing, and she is not secretly keeping Bigfoot locked in a cabin in Canada. Take off the aluminum foil hat and face reality,” the lawyers said, before going on the offensive. They then claimed Kruse “engaged in a relentless and calculated campaign of elder abuse and fraud in order to take control of Ms. Presley’s finances for her own benefit.”

In a separate financial elder abuse lawsuit, filed last year, Priscilla claims Kruse and Fialko duped her into signing a series of contracts that gave her only minority interests in the companies they formed to exploit her name, image and likeness. For their part, Kruse and Fialko claim Priscilla entered the contracts knowingly, benefitted from their services and then cut them off, in breach of their agreements, when her fortunes changes in the aftermath of Lisa Marie’s death. (Video unearthed by Rolling Stone shows Priscilla signing the contracts at Kruse’s house with a lawyer present.)

“Apparently, Ms. Presley’s defense is to list off nonsense hyperbolic statements that have no substance. The documents are in black and white and speak volumes. To date, Ms. Presley has presented zero evidence in support of her salacious claims, and we intend to hold her accountable for her reckless behavior,” Jordan Matthews, the lawyer representing Kruse and Fialko, said Friday, responding to the latest statement from Priscilla’s lawyers.

Lisa Marie was 54 when she died in the hospital on Jan. 12, 2023. When Kruse and Fialko filed the first version of their Los Angeles lawsuit last month, they garnered headlines with their blockbuster claim that Priscilla violated Lisa Marie’s advanced health care directive. They attached the directive, in which Lisa stated she wanted her life “prolonged as long as possible within the limits of generally accepted health care standards.” The advisers claimed Presley discontinued life support “within hours” because she was estranged from her daughter and knew Lisa Marie was on the verge of removing her as the sole trustee of a $25 million life insurance trust. They said Priscilla already had been removed from her role managing Lisa Marie’s Promenade Trust and was facing threats of possible legal action from Lisa Marie.

As Rolling Stone previously reported, a few weeks after Lisa Marie’s death, Priscilla challenged Lisa Marie’s 2016 amendment to her main asset, the Promenade Trust. The amendment removed Priscilla as co-trustee and replaced her with Riley Keough, as well as Lisa Marie’s now deceased son Benjamim Keough, who died in July 2020. Priscilla was never a beneficiary of the Promenade Trust, so the change meant she lost her only influence over Promenade’s marquis assets, including Elvis’ Graceland mansion, its archives, and Lisa Marie’s 15 percent interest in Elvis Presley Enterprises, the company that owns and manages Elvis’ name, image, and likeness. Priscilla wanted the court to declare the amendment “invalid.”

Trending Stories

With a potential legal war looming, Keough reached a generous settlement with her grandmother in a matter of months. Under the deal, Priscilla received a $1 million lump-sum payment off the top of Lisa Marie’s $25 million life insurance policy. Keough also agreed to pay Priscilla $50,000 to resign as co-trustee of the irrevocable trust whose sole asset was the life insurance policy. And Priscilla was awarded an annual salary of $100,000 for 10 years for her new role as a “special adviser” to the Promenade Trust.

The next hearing in the elder abuse case is set for next week. The first case management conference in Kruse and Fialko’s breach of contract case is set for February.

Angie Stone Car Crash Details Emerge Amid Wrongful Death Lawsuit

by jummy84 September 5, 2025
written by jummy84

The family of late R&B legend Angie Stone is taking legal action following the tragic Alabama car crash that claimed her life in March.

Court documents obtained by WSB-TV 2 revealed that Stone’s two children, Diamond Stone and Michael D’Angelo Archer, filed a wrongful death lawsuit in Gwinnett County, Atlanta, against the drivers, a trucking company, and a truck manufacturer connected to the deadly collision.

According to court documents, Angie initially survived when the Mercedes-Benz Sprinter van carrying her and her team overturned after the driver lost control. While Good Samaritans were able to rescue five of the nine passengers from the wreckage, Angie was still inside, struggling to free herself.

Reportedly, moments later, a tractor-trailer hauling a load of sugar reportedly slammed into the van, ejecting her from the vehicle and pinning her underneath. The lawsuit further claims the truck driver failed to pay proper attention to the road and that the tractor-trailer’s collision mitigation system did not function as it should have.

The lawsuit alleges she endured “conscious suffering” before ultimately passing away on the scene.

At the time of the crash, Angie was traveling home after a performance in Mobile, Alabama. Her daughter Diamond confirmed the heartbreaking loss shortly after the accident, writing on Facebook, “My mommy is gone,” alongside crying emojis.

The “Wish I Didn’t Miss You” singer was 63 years old.

Stone first rose to prominence in 1979 as a member of The Sequence — one of the pioneering all-female rap groups — before stepping into her own as a solo artist with the release of her acclaimed debut album Black Diamond. She quickly became revered for her soulful vocals and the kind of R&B songs that could stir emotion with just a single line.

Over the years, the three-time Grammy nominee blessed fans with classics like “Wish I Didn’t Miss You,” “Brotha,” and “No More Rain (In This Cloud).” She released her final studio album Love Language in May 2023.

Beyond music, Stone is the voice behind the beloved Girlfriends theme song and even made her presence felt on screen in Fighting Temptations, Scary Movie V, In The Cut, Saints & Sinners, One on One, School Gyrls, and Lincoln Heights.

Angie Stone is survived by her children and grandchildren. May she rest in peace.

13 ways the Harry Potter TV series could be salvaged – Peeves to Voldemort’s death

by jummy84 September 5, 2025
written by jummy84

Rowling has faced backlash in some quarters due to her views on transgender rights. In 2020, she published a lengthy statement detailing her stance on sex and gender debates – the essay was criticised and disputed by LGBTQ+ charities including Stonewall.

Rowling has also shared her views on social media, including in a 2024 post on X (formerly Twitter), in which she insisted that “there are no trans kids” and opposed the idea that a child can be “born in the wrong body”.

In May 2025, Rowling set up the JK Rowling Women’s Fund, which describes itself as offering legal funding support to “individuals and organisations fighting to retain women’s sex-based rights”.

The Harry Potter books have also already been adapted into a massively successful film franchise – and not even that long ago.

But, for all our cynicism, the recent announcement that Professor Binns will appear in the series has proven it can at least offer something the films never did – enough time for an in-depth adaptation of the books.

After all, the plan is to dedicate a full season of the TV show to each book, allowing around an extra eight hours per book to add back in back stories, scrapped characters, and moments that the films just did not do justice.

So, while not everyone is happy about the TV series at all, if it does have to happen, there may be a few ways it can be salvaged for those who make the decision to watch it. Here’s how.

1. Add Peeves back in

Rik Mayall. Mick Hutson/Redferns

It’s the obvious answer for a reason. Peeves was a hugely important character in the Harry Potter books who was unceremoniously cut from the films due to a lack of technology at the time.

Comedian and actor Rik Mayall was lined up to play the mischievous poltergeist who’s at the heart of every bit of chaos at Hogwarts, but the original film’s director Chris Columbus has revealed that his scenes had to be scrapped as no one was happy with how Peeves looked.

Peeves was behind some of the funniest moments in the Potter books, and some of the most memorable – including helping Fred and George Weasley’s exit from Hogwarts in the Order of the Phoenix.

Of course, Mayall sadly died in 2014, meaning another actor would have to step in as Peeves. But now, with time to spare and all the technology available to studios, there’s no excuse for not bringing him back.

2. Give Ginny a personality

Harry and Ginny in the Harry Potter films, with Ginny dabbing Harry's mouth with a cloth

Harry and Ginny in the Harry Potter films. Warner Bros

Ginny Weasley was one of the films’ biggest failures. Book Ginny was funny, clever, feisty, and an absolute quidditch pro.

Film Ginny (played by Bonnie Wright, who should bear none of the blame since she was working with the material she was given) encapsulated very little of this – and it had a huge impact on the films as a whole.

Her entire relationship with Harry made little to no sense, with a complete lack of chemistry in the films, whereas the books show a gradual and very organic relationship growing between the pair as they grow up.

Plus, her dynamic with the rest of her family suffered. As the only Weasley daughter, Book Ginny completely held her own with her brothers, inheriting Fred and George’s mischievous spark. If it has any chance of succeeding, the series needs to get this right.

3. Spend some time with SPEW

Dobby clicking his fingers in Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets.

Justice for the House Elves! One of the most memorable and important storylines for Hermione throughout the books was her concern for House Elf rights, which led to the founding of the one-woman Society for the Prevention of Elfish Welfare (SPEW).

Despite the limited success of SPEW, its omission from the films also meant we spent limited time with House Elves that weren’t Dobby.

The Black family’s House Elf Kreacher, for instance, only appeared in a few scenes, and Barty Crouch’s House Elf, Winky, who provided a completely different perspective to Dobby, was cut out of the films entirely.

Reinstating SPEW into the series would go some way to remedy this, and to expand on a huge part of Hermione’s character – her sense of morality and justice, and staying true to what she believes in, even in the face of ridicule.

4. Give us more of Neville’s backstory

Matthew Lewis as Neville Longbottom in Harry Potter

Neville was another character a little hard done by in the films. Despite being played brilliantly by Matthew Lewis, a few key parts of his story were either left out completely, or not explored in as much depth as they should have been.

The most prominent one was his parents, Frank and Alice, who were tortured into insanity by Bellatrix Lestrange.

A heartbreaking moment from the books sees Harry and his friends visiting St Mungo’s Hospital, where they encounter Neville visiting his parents and realise a little of what he’s been going through. It’s a huge part of what builds Neville into the character he becomes in Deathly Hallows.

Another plot line that was dropped in the movies was the possibility of Neville being the Chosen One, fitting the prophecy of the child being born in July to parents that had defeated Voldemort three times.

5. Actually cast Charlie Weasley

The Weasley family pictured in Egypt in front of the pyramids in Harry Potter

The Weasley family. Warner Bros

Despite having a pretty big role in the books, Charlie Weasley never actually appeared in the film series – apart from in a brief shot of a Weasley family photo.

The second-oldest Weasley brother is known for his love of dragons, as well as his quidditch prowess. While he’s located in Romania for much of the story, whenever there’s a dragon about, Charlie’s the one to call.

He could feature from the first season onwards, due to the arrival of Norbert, the young Norwegian Ridgeback that Hagrid hatches in his hut in Harry’s first year at Hogwarts.

6. No cringey cameos

Tom Felton as Draco Malfoy in Harry Potter

With the confirmation that Warwick Davis will reprise his role as Professor Filius Flitwick, it feels a little like the floodgates are about to open for cameos from the original cast – but this would be a huge mistake.

If it has any chance of succeeding, the series has to feel original, and seeing Tom Felton play Lucius Malfoy, for instance, would feel incredibly jarring.

The option was there to make a sequel, prequel or spin-off – but if this is a remake, then let’s stick to that.

7. Some original visuals

Robbie Coltrane as Hagrid in the Harry Potter films (L) and Nick Frost as Hagrid in the Harry Potter TV series

Robbie Coltrane as Hagrid in the Harry Potter films (L) and Nick Frost as Hagrid in the Harry Potter TV series. Warner Bros/HBO

Speaking of originality…

As original director Columbus pointed out, it was incredibly disheartening to see portraits of Nick Frost as Rubeus Hagrid in a costume that looks almost identical to the one designed for Robbie Coltrane in the original films.

The TV series is a chance to reimagine the books and if they end up being a shot-for-shot remake of the films, there’s simply no point.

Of course, some elements of the series may be a little hard to change – Harry’s appearance, for example. But there’s also a huge opportunity to reimagine plenty of the visuals, giving it a different tone and a feel to the films, which would work to justify the choice to remake them in the first place.

8. Character building – and comedy

Luke Youngblood as Lee Jordan in Harry Potter

Luke Youngblood as Lee Jordan in Harry Potter. Warner Bros

More generally, the films don’t have the luxury of building out the characters as much as the books do – or including much of the comedy that’s included in them, from Fred and George’s constant antics to Mr Weasley’s obsession with muggles, from Lee Jordan’s quidditch commentary, to McGonagall’s sass.

With any luck, there’ll be plenty of different perspectives in the series, helping us to gain more of an insight into the characters that were a little abandoned in the films, including other students attending Hogwarts alongside Harry, Ron, and Hermione.

9. Don’t miss out The Marauders

James and Lily Potter in the Harry Potter films

James and Lily Potter in the Harry Potter films. Warner Bros

On the topic of important book characters that didn’t quite make the cut in the films, surely a large amount of time will have to be dedicated to the Marauders.

In fact, it could be argued that a Marauders prequel series could have actually made more sense than a straight Harry Potter remake – at least it would have given us something new.

However, fans of the big four, James Potter, Remus Lupin, Sirius Black and Peter Pettigrew, may have to settle for seeing some flashbacks as part of the main series.

The Marauders were a huge part of the Potter books and inextricably linked to so many events in the main series that the TV version surely will have to do them justice.

10. Let us see more lessons

The Hogwarts students in herbology class in Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone.

The Hogwarts students in Herbology class in Harry Potter and the Philosopher’s Stone. Warner Bros

It’s not always essential for us to see the ins and outs of a potions lesson or a charms class, but part of the magic of Hogwarts was in fact the stuff that the students would have found pretty boring.

The films do strike a balance of showing us the events of lessons that are important to the plot (who could forget Lupin’s “Riddikulus” Boggart lesson?) but the series will presumably have the luxury of doing this more often. Plus, as the students grow older, their exams provide a crucial backdrop to life at Hogwarts.

11. Do right by Dumbledore’s funeral

Maggie Smith as Professor Minerva McGonagall, Miriam Margolyes as Professor Sprout, Richard Harris as Albus Dumbledore and Alan Rickman as Severus Snape in Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets

Maggie Smith as Professor Minerva McGonagall, Miriam Margolyes as Professor Sprout, Richard Harris as Albus Dumbledore and Alan Rickman as Severus Snape in Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets. Warner Bros Entertainment

Dumbledore’s death in The Half-Blood Prince was a devastating event that rocked the entire Wizarding World. Of course, in the films, it’s given its moment – but Dumbledore’s funeral was never seen on screen (although concept art of it was released).

The emotional event features wizards from across the country paying their respects in a scene that has the potential to be incredibly cinematic if it is featured on screen in the series.

12. Include Voldemort’s backstory

Christian Coulson as Tom Riddle in Harry Potter

Christian Coulson as Tom Riddle in Harry Potter. Warner Bros

We saw plenty of Voldemort/Tom Riddle in the Potter films, but there was still a big element of his character that was cut out completely – his ancestry.

We discover that Voldemort is a direct descendant of Salazar Slytherin, but was left unaware of the Wizarding World or his heritage after being born in an orphanage.

Throughout his teenage years, he learns more about his family – and becomes obsessed with the idea of “pure-blood supremacy”, laying the foundation for the monster he would become.

13. Make sense of Voldemort’s death

Ralph Fiennes as Voldemort in Harry Potter

Ralph Fiennes as Voldemort in Harry Potter. Warner Bros

One of the biggest failures of the entire Potter film series came at the very end – when we finally witness Voldemort’s death. In fact, it sort of misses the point completely.

After the destruction of the horcruxes, it becomes possible to kill the wizard that has haunted nightmares for decades.

Finally, Harry defeats him and, as he dies, Voldemort simply falls to the ground as any other mortal human would – proving that he’s not going to slip away into the night, or be resurrected somehow as he has been time and time again. It finally provides some closure.

In the final film, that detail is lost as we see Voldemort’s body shredded into pieces after Harry defeats him. It suggests that Voldemort had lost every part of his humanity and overlooks the book’s point that, in the end, he too was just a man.

The Harry Potter series will stream on HBO Max in 2027.

Indian fashion fraternity mourns the death of Italian designer Giorgio Armani

by jummy84 September 4, 2025
written by jummy84

The Italian designer died at 91 due to age-related illness.

Italian fashion designer Giorgio Armani, popularly known as King Giorgio has died at 91. His demise has left a void in fashion and he was single-handedly responsible for rewriting the rules of fashion. The designer was the archetype of Italian style and built a multibillion-dollar fashion empire. His fashion house released a statement soon after his death. “Indefatigable to the end, he worked until his final days, dedicating himself to the company, the collections and the many ongoing and future projects,” the statement said.

The iconic designer died at his house surrounded by his loved ones. He gave a miss to the June 2025 Milan Fashion Week for the first time, and was planning a major event to celebrate his brand’s 50 years during Milan Fashion Week this month.

Indian fashion designers and personalities poured in their condolences for the icon.

Sunil Sethi, FDCI Chairman

This is such a big loss for all of us. His name has been synonymous with fashion. I had the fortune of working with him for two years for the launch of Armani Casa. I was his guest at the opening of Armani Casa in Milan, where I met him personally. I was in awe of his personality. Meeting him was the biggest highlight of my life. My first meeting with him was in the year 1994 at Oberoi Hotel and had a brief interaction in the hotel’s elevator.

Rahul Mishra, Designer

Giorgio Armani’s passing marks the end of an era. He wasn’t only a master of elegance and restraint—he was the architect of how a designer could build a global brand. Armani created a business model that became a case study for generations: from Armani cafe, Armani Casa to multiple divisions under his name, he showed that creativity and structure can coexist at the highest level. For independent designers like myself, and even for conglomerates, his legacy is both wisdom and roadmap. Personally, for my study having lived in Milan and witnessed his vision up close, I can say his influence shaped my own path. His ideas, his craftsmanship, and his relentless vision will remain safe in history—and he will be deeply missed by us all…

Ritu Beri, Designer

The world has lost a true icon with the passing of Giorgio Armani. His vision redefined elegance and simplicity, leaving an indelible mark on global fashion. For me, Armani was the epitome of timeless style and creative genius, an inspiration whose legacy will live on forever.

Suneet Varma, Designer

Giorgio Armani, the maestro of timeless elegance, redefined modern fashion with his quiet confidence and pure lines. He gave the world a new order of style—where tailoring was softened, glamour became effortless, and jeans stood as a symbol of democracy in dress. Armani dressed presidents, film stars, and dreamers alike, yet his true genius was in making sophistication accessible. With his passing, we lose not just a designer, but a visionary who shaped how the world dresses forever.

Nachiket Barve, Designer

Giorgio Armani is an absolute legend whose contribution to fashion is eternal. Bringing ease and fluidity to menswear, sophisticated androgyny to women’s fashion and being one of the first designers to build and nurture an independent fashion empire, his legacy is large and inspiring to generations of designers. I continue to be inspired by his focus and timeless elegance as he built his signature over decades.

Rina Dhaka, Designer

As a young designer my only first big dream was to wear Armani head-to -toe. He exemplified quiet class in clothing, no logos sreaming what you are wearing. With time ofcourse newer brands came, but Monsieur Armani at 91 could still be seen at the end of the show walking tall though frail with age. Students in India in fashion in 2025 must read of his legacy his craft to understand my perspective.

I am deeply grateful to Senators Mark Warner and Tim Kaine and to President [Joe] Biden for the opportunity to lead this office, and to Attorney General Garland for his steadfast leadership. Who Is Jessica Aber?

Aber was a lawyer and former U.S. Attorney for the Eastern District of Virginia, a position she served from 2021 to 2025.

The Walnut Creek, California, native started her career as a law clerk for former Magistrate Judge M. Hannah Lauck of the District Court for the Eastern District of Virginia in 2006. She worked her way up to become the Deputy Chief of the Criminal Division for the Eastern District of Virginia in 2016, a position she held until she became the attorney in 2021.

What Happened to Jessica Aber?

On March 22, 2025, the Alexandria Police Department of Virginia discovered Aber dead in her home after responding to a report of an unresponsive woman in the 900 block of Beverly Drive that morning.

The current U.S. Attorney for the Eastern District of Virginia, Erik S. Siebert, reacted to Aber’s death in a statement, which read, “Her professionalism, grace, and legal acumen set the standard. Though we are devastated by this loss, each of us in the Eastern District of Virginia will look to her example and endeavor to live up to that standard,” per USA Today.

Jessica Aber’s Cause of Death

Aber’s cause of death was disclosed in August 2025. The State Medical Examiner’s Office concluded that she suffered “sudden unexpected death in epilepsy,” according to The Virginian-Pilot.

On March 25, police shared an update, writing on Facebook, “While the investigation into the death of Ms. Jessica Aber is ongoing, at this time, detectives have found no evidence suggesting that her death was caused by anything other than natural causes.”

“The investigation is ongoing, and the case will remain open until the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner (OCME) returns a final ruling on the cause and manner of death,” police added in the news release.

A friend of Aber’s family told NBC News that police believe she died due to a long-standing medical issue.

Police are investigating the death of a white adult male who was found in a “pool of blood” at the Burning Man festival on Saturday night, Aug. 30, just as the “Man” effigy was beginning to be torched.

The Pershing County Sheriff’s Office Deputy was flagged down at the campsite in Black Rock City at about 9.14pm, where a male was found to be lying on the ground, “obviously deceased,” a statement reads.

Forensics specialists have been called in to help with the collection of evidence and processing the scene in the northern Nevada desert. Officers, at this stage, are treating the death as a homicide.

Although this act appears to be a “singular crime,” all participants “should always be vigilant of their surroundings and acquaintances,” reads a statement signed by Pershing County Sheriff Jerry Allen on Sunday, Aug. 31.

The identity of the man hasn’t been released and no further information will be available at this time, the message continues, “but it will be released as appropriate to provide communication, while still preserving the integrity of the complicated investigation of a crime in a city which will be gone by the middle of the week.”

The Pershing County Sheriff’s Office, which investigates all deaths that occur in its jurisdiction, will be the primary source of further information.

Burning Man organizers said they are cooperating with law enforcement. “If you are in Black Rock City,” reads a statement from Burning Man Project, “do not interfere with law enforcement activity.”

Earlier, producers of the annual gathering announced that several installations and projects had been destroyed or damaged following a fierce sandstorm. Among them, the Orgy Dome space was closed to the public following damage by heavy winds, and a 50 foot tall art installation called Black Cloud, created by a team of artists from Ukraine, was reportedly damaged.

Inside the Surreal Final Days Before Princess Diana’s Death

So, Diana took her friend, Egyptian business magnate and Harrods owner Mohamed Al-Fayed, up on his longstanding invitation to host her, along with William and Harry, at his vacation home in Saint-Tropez.

Dodi Fayed, Mohamed’s eldest son, showed up on July 14, a few days into the princess’ stay, docking his boat near his father’s yacht, the Jonikal. The 42-year-old movie producer was accompanied by his model fiancée Kelly Fisher, though Dodi would later deny that they were engaged.

Mohamed, who used to arrange private shopping excursions for the princess at his famed London department store after it had closed for the evening, was excited by the prospect of a love connection between Diana and his son.

Kelly left for work on July 18 and Dodi started spending more time with Diana and her sons, renting out a nightclub so they could dance in peace and taking the trio to an amusement park.

Diana called it the “best holiday of my life,” per Morton.

But in light of the tragic news, after dropping the boys back home in the U.K. she flew to Milan to attend the July 22 funeral for Versace.
