RIIZE announce comeback details with cinematic trailer

RIIZE have revealed the details of their comeback – find out more below.

  • READ MORE: RIIZE are charting a rapid ascension in the K-pop industry – and they aren’t slowing down

Yesterday (November 2), the SM Entertainment group took to social media to release the cinematic trailer for ‘Fame’. Watch the trailer below.

‘Fame’ is due for release on November 24, with more details set to be revealed in the coming days. It is currently unclear what other songs will make up the K-pop boyband’s ‘Fame’ single album.

RIIZE most recently released the album ‘Odyssey’ in mid-May. It included tracks like ‘Fly Up’, ‘Midnight Mirage’, ‘Inside My Love’, ‘Another Life’, ‘Ember To Solar’ and more.

The album is RIIZE’s first release since founding member Seunghan left the group in October last year. His departure occurred only two days after Seunghan and SM Entertainment faced backlash after the latter announced his return to RIIZE following a year-long hiatus.

Shortly after, a number of K-pop retailers across the globe halted restocks of RIIZE merchandise “out of respect for our customers, fans, and the artist”. Although the label did not heed fans’ requests to add Seunghan back to the band, they announced he would debut as a soloist sometime this year. His debut solo album ‘Waste No Time’ arrived on July 31.

The Cure Announce Concert Film The Show of a Lost World

by jummy84 November 3, 2025
written by jummy84

A new concert film from the Cure will hit theaters on December 11. Directed by British filmmaker and longtime collaborator Nick Wickham, The Show of a Lost World documents the band’s November 2024 performance at London’s Troxy to celebrate the release of Songs of a Lost World. Their 31-song setlist included the only performance of the album in full to date and a 45th anniversary tribute to 1980’s Seventeen Seconds. Frontman Robert Smith handled The Show of a Lost World’s mixing.

Songs of a Lost World marked the Cure’s first studio album in 16 years. The band followed it up with a remix album featuring contributions from Four Tet, Mogwai, and Deftones frontman Chino Moreno, among others.

The Cure Announce The Show of a Lost World Concert Film

by jummy84 November 2, 2025
written by jummy84

Back in October, The Cure hinted at what they’d called “The Show of a Lost World film.” Now, full details have emerged as the iconic rockers have announced yet another project in continued support of last year’s Songs of a Lost World.

Due in select cinemas worldwide on Thursday, December 11th, The Cure: The Show Of A Lost World is a 4K, remixed and re-cut film chronicling the band’s full November 1st, 2024 performance at London’s Troxy. (It was not only the album’s release day, but the band’s first and only show at the storied venue.) The film was directed by Nick Wickham (who previously worked with Rihanna, Madonna, and The Big 4), and mixed by The Cure Robert Smith himself. It follows another Songs release from this past April, Songs of a Lost World Remixed.

The full performance spans 31 tracks, including the entirety of Songs of a Lost World, as well as a five-song set commemorating the 45th anniversary of Seventeen Seconds. Other standout tracks include “A Night Like This,” “From the Edge of the Deep Green Sea,” “Disintegration,” “Play for Today,” and “The Walk.” Following the cinematic event, the film will be released on Blu-Ray and DVD in late December 2025.

“The Cure’s impact cannot be underestimated and this film is a testament to the artistry and depth of their music,” said Trafalgar Releasing CEO Marc Allenby, who are handling the home release. “It’s a pleasure to bring The Show of a Lost World to cinemas globally and give fans everywhere the opportunity to experience together this extraordinary concert on the big screen.”

Tickets for The Cure: The Show Of A Lost World go on sale November 20th at 10 a.m. EST; for more info, visit thecurelostworld.com. Check out the full setlist below.

If you’d like to see The Cure live and in person, they’ll be on tour in the UK and Europe next summer. In addition to October’s tease regarding the film, the band recently confirmed work on their 15th studio album. Stay tuned for more.

Raccoon Media Group and Messe München announce strategic partnership to redefine ISPO’s global future

by jummy84 October 28, 2025
written by jummy84

(L-R Mike Seaman, Group CEO at Raccoon Media Group, Doug Emslie, Chairman Raccoon Media Group, Stefan Rummel, Co-CEO at Messe Munchen and Harald Kirchschlager, Executive Director Corporate Strategy & Development at Messe München)

Raccoon Media Group and Messe München are joining forces to usher in a new era for ISPO, the world’s largest and most influential trade event for the sporting goods and outdoor industry. Under the joint venture, Raccoon Media Group will be responsible for the operational leadership of the event, with key figureheads from Messe München transferring into the new leadership structure to deliver an ambitious, future-facing vision.

From 2026, ISPO will start with a new strategic concept, refined event date of 3-5 November, avoiding key international holidays and aligning more strategically with buying cycles, as well as a new venue with a relocation to the RAI, Amsterdam. This opens the doors to a more globally connected marketplace and supports accessibility to a broader international audience. The concept represents a significant strategic shift designed to futureproof the event for the evolving demands of the global sports and outdoor market and to once again, create an event that is globally significant.

As part of this transformation, a €3 million investment programme has been announced, comprising:

  • €1 million into advocacy, supporting not-for-profit organisations that protect the natural environments in which people play, increasing participation and safeguarding the grassroots of the sports industry
  • €1 million into a global hosted buyer programme, ensuring robust ROI for exhibitors and attendees while strengthening international business opportunities
  • €1 million into a world-class content programme, designed to deliver cutting-edge insight, thought leadership and education across the sports and outdoor ecosystem

The reimagined ISPO will begin with The ISPO Leaders’ Summit, a C-suite conference bringing together global industry leaders for a first-class content programme. The Summit will welcome globally impactful C-suite executives, policymakers and industry leaders—including confirmed speakers Jimmy Chin (Filmmaker and Mountaineer), Hap Klopp (Founder, The North Face), Professor Laura McAllister (Vice President of UEFA), Andy Rubin (Deputy Chair, Pentland Group), John Lacey (CEO, Burton) and Pia Heidenmark Cook (Former Group Chief Sustainability Officer Ingka/IKEA) to shape the strategic agenda for a year of growth and innovation across the industry.

Following this will be a two-day streamlined and focused exhibition, uniting the global sporting goods, winter and outdoor community under one roof to showcase innovation, foster collaboration and drive commercial success.

The 2025 event will mark a dignified and memorable ISPO Show in Munich under Messe München’s stewardship. This year’s edition will define the first strategic cornerstones for the future – a milestone event that provides the ideal launchpad for the next chapter. Following this remarkable event, the leadership team of the newly established joint venture company will take the helm post-2025. For the first time in the event’s history, rebooking for the following edition will be available onsite – providing exhibitors and partners with a seamless transition into the next era of ISPO.

Mike Seaman, Group CEO of Raccoon Media Group, commented:
“We are incredibly proud to take ISPO into its next chapter. By combining the rich heritage and reputation of ISPO with our agile, forward-thinking, community-driven approach, we are creating an event that not only reflects the future of sport and the outdoors but actively shapes it. Our investments in advocacy, hosted buyers and content underline our commitment to delivering tangible value for the entire industry—from grassroots organisations to global brands.

Seaman continued: “The Sports and Outdoor market in Europe has fragmented over the last decade and needs a cohesive platform to discuss key issues, network and do business. In the USA we have seen the reduction in trade shows and the subsequent effects on the industry and associations – all during a time when advocacy and communal voice is needed the most on key issues like public lands.  We need to build ISPO into an event that is necessary and needed by the Sports and Outdoor Community. ISPO should help to protect the places we play, unite the industry and inspire the next generation of brands, leaders and businesses and that’s exactly what we plan to deliver.”

“We respond to market changes with care and consideration. The joint venture with Raccoon Media Group is a real new beginning and brings opportunities for the continuation of our traditional event. The focus on the growth of our major events at home and abroad strengthens our global market position as a top trade fair company. The industry will benefit from the partnership and receive important impetus,” say the two CEOs of Messe München, Stefan Rummel and Dr Reinhard Pfeiffer, in a joint statement.

Girls Aloud announce vinyl and CD release date for 'Christmas 'Round At Ours'

Girls Aloud announce vinyl and CD release date for ‘Christmas ‘Round At Ours’

by jummy84 October 25, 2025
written by jummy84

Girls Aloud have announced a vinyl and CD reissue for their festive album ‘Christmas ‘Round At Ours’.

The girl group first released the Christmas collection as a bonus disc with their third album ‘Chemistry’ in 2005, but now, with the holiday season on the horizon, they have revealed that it will be getting a full re-release.

The new version has a reordered tracklisting and includes a previously unreleased remix from the vault of ‘Not Tonight Santa’. It is available to listen on streaming services now, while the physical release will come on November 14 on CD and red vinyl – pre-order/pre-save yours here.

It sees the band covering the Christmas classics ‘Merry Xmas Everybody’ by Slade and ‘I Wish It Could Be Christmas Everyday’ by Wizzard, as well as the festive staples ‘White Christmas’ and ‘Jingle Bell Rock’, and four Girls Aloud originals.

Kimberley Walsh has said: “Just as we were adding the finishing touches to what would become our ‘Chemistry’ album, our producer Brian Higgins had a wildcard last minute idea. As the album had been scheduled for a December release, how about we record some bonus Christmas tracks? Our record label loved the idea but went one step further and suggested we record a whole Christmas album which could be packaged with the main album as a strictly limited-edition deluxe format.”

Nadine Coyle added: “The day we photographed the front sleeve was the same day we were photographed for the main ‘Chemistry’ sleeve. When we walked into the photo studio it was like walking on to a film set – the kitchen scene you see on the front of the album was a set build and it looked so impressive, like something from a 1950s Hollywood movie. If you’d told us then than many years later the chosen image from the day would be celebrated by the National Portrait Gallery (which it did in Christmas 2023) we’d never have believed you!”

Nicola Roberts has said: “We decided to record four classic Christmas covers – and the Xenomania team were going to write four brand-new original Girls Aloud Christmas songs. There was only one issue – time. We had one week for the remaining new songs to be written and to record everything. Everyone went into festive overdrive. While we were recording the Christmas covers in the Xenomania studio (we picked ‘Jingle Bell Rock’ because it was in the movie Mean Girls), Miranda Cooper and Lisa Cowling spent a weekend in Devon writing lyrics to the four brand new Christmas songs.”

Cheryl added: “The new songs were all highly kitsch and sometimes ridiculous. The album
was always meant to be called ‘Christmas ‘Round At Ours’ – that’s why the Christmas TV
advert was themed “At home with Girls Aloud”, but it was decided it was too confusing to
give it a name of its own, as it would only ever be available as part of the ‘Chemistry’
album. Until now that is.”

Girls Aloud – ‘Christmas ‘Round At Ours’ tracklist:

  1. ‘Christmas ‘Round At Ours’
  2. ‘Merry Xmas Everybody’
  3. ‘Not Tonight Santa’
  4. ‘Jingle Bell Rock’
  5. ‘Count The Days’
  6. ‘I Wish It Could Be Christmas Everyday’
  7. ‘I Wanna Kiss You So (Christmas In A Nutshell)’
  8. ‘White Christmas’
  9. ‘Not Tonight Santa (Christmas Party Mix)’

In August, Girls Aloud released the 20th anniversary deluxe edition of ‘Chemistry’, while for BBC Children In Need last November, they released a new version of ‘I’ll Stand By You’, with the late Sarah Harding featuring exclusively on lead vocals.

Harding died from breast cancer in September 2021 after announcing her diagnosis to the public in August 2020. She was 39 years old. Girls Aloud revealed in late 2022 that they had raised more than £1million in funds for breast cancer charities over the past year.
