Real Housewives of Potomac Star Wendy Osefo Speaks Out After Arrest

by jummy84 October 21, 2025
written by jummy84

The Real Housewives of Potomac star Wendy Osefo has opened up for the first time about her Oct. 9 arrest, along with husband Eddie Osefo, on charges of insurance fraud.

“And through it all, God remains faithful. Thank you for the outpouring of love, support, and prayers for myself and most importantly my family during this time. We are forever grateful” the reality TV star said on her Instagram page late on Sunday. The Osefos were released on Oct. 10 after being booked on 16 insurance fraud charges, including seven felonies.

Wendy Osefo also urged fans to tune into Bravo to view the latest episode of The Real Housewives of Potomac. “Tune into @bravotv tonight for a new episode of #RHOP,” she wrote.

Their arrest followed The Osefos allegedly making false and misleading claims after an April 2024 burglary at their family home that led to the insurance fraud criminal charges. The Carroll County Sheriff’s Office in Maryland in an Oct. 10 Facebook post claimed the Osefos, after returning from vacation and finding their home had been burgled, reported around 80 luxury items — including jewelry, goods, clothing and shoes, valued at $200,000 — had been stolen

“During the investigation, detectives found that over $20,000 of the items reported stolen had been returned by the owners to the locations the items were purchased. Further, detectives found images of a homeowner wearing jewelry that had been reported stolen after the burglary took place,” the Carroll County Sheriff’s Office alleged.

Wendy Osefo also faces one misdemeanor charge for allegedly making a false statement to a police officer. On Oct. 10, representatives for the Osefos in a statement confirmed the couple had been released on bond.

“They are grateful for the outpouring of concern and support from friends, fans and colleagues. The Osefos, alongside their legal team, look forward to their day in court. At this time, they respectfully ask for privacy as they focus on their family and the legal process ahead,” the statement from the couple’s representatives added at the time.

Season 10 of The Real Housewives of Potomac began airing on Oct. 5. Osefo is set to star in Bravo‘s Wife Swap: The Real Housewives Edition but after news of the couple’s arrest broke, the network delayed the show’s release date from Oct. 14 to 21.

Osefo became a cast member on Real Housewives of Potomac in 2020. And she’s just the latest figure in the long-running reality TV franchise to face legal woes, with New Jersey star Teresa Giudice, Salt Lake City castmember Jen Shah and Osefo’s RHOP co-star Karen Huger all spending time behind bars.

Joe Absolom reveals Emmerdale villain Ray’s truth behind Laurel connection amid “subservient” dynamic with mum Celia

by jummy84 October 21, 2025
written by jummy84

Joe Absolom has revealed the truth behind Emmerdale villain Ray Walters’s romantic attachment to Laurel Thomas (Charlotte Bellamy), and shared some insight into his relationship with adoptive mum Celia Daniels (Jaye Griffiths).

Ray has been manipulating April Windsor (Amelia Flanagan) and her boyfriend Dylan Penders (Fred Kettle) into delivering and selling drugs for him.

Things took an even darker turn when Ray led April into sexual slavery.

But when we learned that Celia has been pulling the strings all along, it became clear that Ray, while ruthless, isn’t half as dangerous as her!

Chatting to RadioTimes.com and other media, Absolom explained: “To April and Dylan, he’s at the top. But to actually most people watching him, people realize he’s one of the many, one of the cogs.

“And you see above him is [Celia], who he’s terrified of and attached to in a sort of maternal sense. He’s very much the child and the subservient one,” he added.

“Whereas with Dylan and April, he’s kind of the dominator, if you like, or the driving force of most of those things. Most of my scenes are different with those two guys to what you see with [Celia], who’s this very formidable, strident character.”

Celia (Jaye Griffiths) with an unsuspecting Moira (Natalie J Robb) ITV

Describing a moment on set where a co-star had yet to find out the nature of Ray and Celia’s relationship, the actor revealed: “We did a scene the other day and Jaye touched my cheek, and one of the other actors went, ‘wait, are you two dating?'”

While Celia’s more tactile moments seem to be used to keep Ray in line, there’s another, warmer opportunity to see Ray’s softer side when he takes a genuine shine to Laurel!

“I think when he meets Laurel, there’s something that brings a side out to him that he didn’t know he was going to have, but the writers did. I like it because it has a different side of it. It’s more human.

“I think he sees a family,” Absolom added. “Sees her with her kids and sees a family life that he never had because he was adopted very early on by Celia when he was eight.

“So we see in episodes later, not flashbacks, but little hints of what his life has been like. So I think to me, Laurel is this kind of woman who has a business and a family and children are kind of, you know, interesting. She lives in a nice house.

“Yeah, I think it’s attractive to Ray in lots of different ways.”

But despite the possibility of love on the horizon, Ray will turn his attention back to crime, discovering that Dylan has gone behind his back and stolen some money after a job.

“He’s got the backpack and he’s been double crossed, I guess,” muses the star.

“So it’s a real moment where he realises he may be losing a grip on these two people and that he has to now take it to a different level and try and get them back and get the money back and get them back onside. So it’s a risk of losing everything, really.”

As Dylan and April make a desperate bid to escape, we’ll have to wait and see if Ray will catch up with them.

But Absolom is enjoying his time on Emmerdale, summing up what he’s been up to since stepping into the role of Ray.

“Since I’ve arrived, I’ve been paying kids to deliver drugs, I’ve been delivering drugs myself, I’ve been pimping out other characters. And I’ve taught Dylan how to drive. There’s a real gamut of opportunity for the Dales!”

Season 28 Battle Rounds Part 3 Feature Snoop Dogg’s Steal and More

by jummy84 October 21, 2025
written by jummy84

The Monday, October 20, episode of The Voice featured Night 3 of the Battle Rounds. Coaches Snoop Dogg, Reba McEntire, Niall Horan, and Michael Bublé had tough decisions to make after watching more of their artists go head-to-head in duet performances.

The contestants were advised by Lizzo (Team Snoop), Nick Jonas (Team Reba), Lewis Capaldi (Team Niall), and Kelsea Ballerini (Team Bublé) before taking the stage for their Battles. Heading into Night 3, Horan still had his Save, while Snoop and Bublé each had a Steal.

Scroll down for a recap of the performances and to find out who the coaches chose, as well as where the teams stand heading into the final night of Battles before the Knockout Round.

Here’s where the teams stand after three nights of Battle Rounds:

Lauren Anderson vs. Makenzie Phipps (Team Snoop)

Lauren Anderson and Makenzie Phipps kicked off the show with a performance of “Before He Cheats” by Carrie Underwood. Horan called it a “good, old school, Voice Battle.”

Griffin Nagel/NBC

“Makenzie, you performed that song in a completely different way. In your part, you did your thing, hit some crazy notes,” he added. “And Lauren, you are a powerhouse. That scream that you do? I don’t even know where to start with who you choose.”

McEntire told both ladies they are “terrific performers” and noted that Underwood doesn’t record easy records. “Lauren, you came out of the gate ready,” McEntire said. “Makenzie, great performance, too. I’m proud of you both. If I had to make a decision, I think it’d be Lauren.”

Bublé said he had “nothing to critique” about Makenzie’s voice, but ultimately would pick Lauren because of her moves on stage. Snoop told Makenzie she’s a “superstar” and gushed over Lauren’s “strong performance” from the get-go. He ultimately picked Lauren as the winner of the Battle.

“What I loved about Lauren’s performance is she can really go another notch,” he explained. “I feel like Lauren has the experience to get her to the Finals.”

Max Chambers vs Aarik Duncan (Team Bublé)

Max Chambebrs and Aarik Duncan performed “Just the Two of Us.” Snoop praised the guys for their chemistry and for “complementing” each other instead of “outworking” each other. He said Max would be his choice for the winner of the Battle.

Max Chambers and Aarik Duncan

Griffin Nagel/NBC

“Aarik, you’ve taken it to a different level, man,” Horan said. “You really stood out in a great way. And Max, you’re just a complete natural. It was so good to watch you just shine up there.” He admitted he was “leaning towards” Max as the winner.

McEntire told the guys they gave a “spectacular performance” and noted how “comfortable” they were together. She selected Aarik as her would-be winner. But the decision was Bublé’s.

“Aarik, your voice has just a gorgeous tonal quality, such a richness,” he shared. “You’re perfection, man. Max, there’s a lot of right that comes out of you. You’re 14, but you come with a lot of maturity. You were hitting notes I haven’t heard you hit before.” He picked Max as the winner of the Battle, noting that the teenager “has the potential to become a star.”

Aiden Ross vs. Ava Nat (Team Niall)

Horan gave Aiden Ross and Ava Nat his own duet “What a Time” to perform. McEntire told them that they should consider performing as a duo if their solo careers don’t wokr out.

Ava Nat and Aiden Ross

Griffin Nagel/NBC

“Aiden you have such a beautiful voice and I just love watching you go into your falsetto,” Bublé said. “Ava, there’s such a sweetness and richness in your tone.” He chose Aiden as the winner of the Battle, because the “falsetto kind of melted me.”

Snoop pointed out that he “wanted both” Aiden and Ava on his team and even turned his chair for their auditions. He hinted that he would “do some things” if he had the chance to. Horan told his team members that the performance “was everything I wanted it to be and 20 times more.”

He ended up choosing Aiden as the winner of the Battle due to his “level of consistency.” However, he also pushed his Save button for Ava, while Snoop hit his Steal button. The choice was then Ava’s, and she decided to stay with Team Niall.

“I had to use my Save,” he said. “I love Ava’s voice. I love her ability to tell a story. She does it simply better than anyone on the show.”

Leyton Robinson vs. Manny Costello (Team Reba)

Leyton Robinson and Manny Costello were tasked with singing Chris Stapleton‘s “Think I’m in Love With You.” Bublé said it was “incredible,” noting that Leyton could “sing the phone book,” and raving over Manny’s “gravely, amazing” voice. He “leaned towards” Leyton as the winner, though.

Horan told Manny his voice was “really great,” adding, “Your grit in your voice is something I didn’t really hear last time stand out. And you can run, too, which I never heard.” The One Direction singer also praised Leyton’s “piercing voice that you can hear in any harmonies.”

McEntire told both singers she was “proud” of them and noted that they’ve grown, even since rehearsals. She picked Leyton as the winner because she felt like she could help her more as they move forward in the competition.

Vinya Chhabra vs. Conrad Khalil (Team Reba)

Vinya Chhabra and Conrad Khalil performed a duet of “It Takes Two” for their Battle.

Griffin Nagel/NBC

“Conrad, I would call you a show dog because when those lights come on … PIZAZZ!” McEntire gushed, before choosing Conrad as the winner of the Battle.

“Conrad, he was a one-chair turn from me, but he has grown so much in this process,” she shared. “His voice is great and I think he will continue to grow and improve.”

Emmanuel Rey vs. Mindy Miller (Team Snoop)

For their Battle, Emmanuel Rey and Mindy Miller sang “Angel From Montgomery.” While it was more in her wheelhouse than his, he managed to make it his own.

Mindy Miller and Emmanuel Rey

Griffin Nagel/NBC

“Emmanuel, how you held your own in a song that wasn’t leaning your way, that says a lot about you,” Horan praised. “That’s real artistry to put your swing on a song that’s not particularly your lane. Mindy, your voice is amazing and the level you’ve taken it to since the Blinds is next level.”

McEntire told Emmanuel he can probably “sing just about anything,” and noted that it was “really a treat” to listen to Mindy sing. She chose Mindy as the winner, but the decision was all Snoop’s.

“Emmanuel, when you put the Spanish in there, you turned me all the way up,” the rapper said. “To me, you’re an artist. Just so you know, I have a label. We’ll talk about that later. Mindy, the minute you started playing and singing, it felt like it was your record. You were comfortable with this record. The thing I’m interested in seeing is what can happen outside this wheelhouse.”

Luckily, he’ll get a chance to do just that as he continues to coach Mindy, as he chose her as the Battle winner.

Kirbi vs. Carolina Rodriguez (Team Niall)

Kirbi and Carolina Rodriguez sang Lauren Daigle‘s “You Say” for the last Battle of the night. McEntire told them the performance was “angelic” and admitted she wasn’t able to pick one a winner.

Kirbi and Carolina Rodriguez

Griffin Nagel/NBC

Snoop made sure to note that he still had his Steal to use, as Horan struggled to make a choice. “It was beautiful,” he gushed. “It was emotional, it was everythign we want in a Battle. What’s really hard is you two have become such good friends over this. Kirbi, that rasp is so beautiful at the top of your register. Not many people have that. Like Snoop said, you looked like a veteran up there. Carolina, the way you started that song, to sing low in your register, straight out of the gate, was so impressive.”

Niall picked Kirbi as the winner because she “really gave me the emotion that I wanted from that song.” However, as expected, Snoop stole Carolina. “The thing I loved about Carolina the most was her growth, hearing her from the Blinds to now,” he noted.

Heading into the last night of Battles, here’s where the teams stand. Each coach has one more Battle pairing to complete their teams, while Bublé also has his Steal remaining.

‘Rental Family’ and ‘Hamnet’ Win Audience Prize at Middleburg

by jummy84 October 21, 2025
written by jummy84

The 2025 Middleburg Film Festival is the latest to bestow Chloe Zhao’s “Hamnet” its Audience Award for Narrative Feature, but this time the Focus Features release shares the honor with Hikari’s “Rental Family, set to be released by Searchlight Pictures.

Though the award still supports the idea that “Hamnet” is the one fall festival premiere most likely to be a Best Picture Oscar frontrunner next year, especially since it also won the coveted People’s Choice Award at the Toronto International Film Festival in September, it being tied with “Rental Family” helps paint a picture of how there can be plenty of films that excite audiences outside the New York/Los Angeles bubble.

Jafar Panahi

Keep in mind, the Audience Award process at Middleburg is similar to the one at Toronto, in that any film screening at the festival is eligible. And the harsh thing about Toronto this year was how many well-received premieres, be it “Rental Family” or “Roofman,” had been said to have had their awards campaigns tanked by not winning said People’s Choice Award, as if their worth is tied to their potential to win an Academy Award.

“Rental Family,” which closed the 2025 Middleburg Film Festival, with writer/director Hikari present to receive a standing ovation, was described by IndieWire critic David Ehrlich as “a gentle little movie that recognizes truth and performance as two sides of the same coin.” Pegged as a crowdpleaser before it had publicly screened anywhere, the response the Brendan Fraser response received at Middleburg, from an audience that primarily consists of wealthy film enthusiasts in the D.C., Maryland, and Virginia area, quite a few who work in the film industry, proved that initial read to be justified. Worth noting “Frankenstein,” the runner-up for the People’s Choice Award at Toronto, had also screened at Middleburg.

Anyhow, another film that had arguably been overshadowed at other festivals, but got its turn in the spotlight at Middleburg was “The Cycle of Love,” which took the Top Documentary Prize. Another Telluride world premiere a la “Hamnet,” the film tells the true story of an Indian man cycling 6000 miles cross-continent on bicycle to find his love. Other documentaries that screened at the festival include Netflix’s “Cover-Up” and National Geographic films “Love+War” and “The Tale of Silyan,” yet “The Cycle of Love” has yet to find a distributor. One can imagine the filmmakers hope the Middleburg audience’s reaction can be leveraged in a partner ready to campaign the film as a true Best Documentary Feature contender.

Though it won the Jury Prize after its world premiere at the Venice Film Festival, “The Voice of Hind Rajab,” which won the Top International Prize at Middleburg, has yet to find a distributor, even though it is directed by two-time Oscar nominee Kaouther Ben Hania and has already been selected to represent Tunisia for Best International Feature.

Outside of actual prizewinners, this particular regional crowd anecdotally hailed a mix of the expected, like Palme d’Or winner “It Was Just an Accident” from director Jafar Panahi or Scott Cooper’s “Springsteen: Deliver Me From Nowhere,” and unexpected like A24 romantic comedy “Eternity,” starring Elizabeth Olsen (programmed as the Saturday Spotlight film), and Searchlight Pictures’ “Is This Thing On?”

A portion of the older crowd seemed to still have difficulty with “After the Hunt,” or even “If I Had Legs, I’d Kick You,” which features a visceral performance from Rose Byrne, but were very warm on most of Netflix’s slate of films, from Noah Baumbach’s “Jay Kelly,” which opened the festival, to Richard Linklater’s “Nouvelle Vague,” and Rian Johnson’s “Wake Up Dead Man,” the latest installment in the “Knives Out” franchise.

“We’re thrilled to see how our slate of films connected so profoundly with our audiences,” said Middleburg Film Festival Executive Director Susan Koch via statement. “The humanity and emotional depth of these four films clearly struck a chord, reflecting the kind of bold, globally minded storytelling our festival strives to champion.”

Adam Driver Pitched Kylo Ren ‘Star Wars’ Movie With Steven Soderbergh

by jummy84 October 21, 2025
written by jummy84

Adam Driver and Steven Soderbergh almost brought their own twist to a galaxy far, far away.

In a recent sit down with AP, Driver said that over the span of two years, he and Soderbergh developed a script called “The Hunt for Ben Solo.” The film would have taken place after the events of “The Rise of Skywalker,” and followed Driver’s Kylo Ren, aka Ben Solo, on a search for redemption.

Soderbergh roughed out the story with “Logan Lucky” screenwriter Rebecca Blunt. Scott Z. Burns later joined to pen the script.

“I always was interested in doing another ‘Star Wars,’” Driver said. “I had been talking about doing another one since 2021. Kathleen [Kennedy] had reached out. I always said: ‘With a great director and a great story, I’d be there in a second.’ I loved that character and loved playing him.”

Driver described the film as “handmade and character-driven,” comparing it to 1980’s “The Empire Strikes Back.” The “White Noise” star said that that film is the “standard” of what a “Star Wars” movie should be.”

Soderbergh and Driver pitched “The Hunt for Ben Solo” to Kathleen Kennedy, Dave Filoni and Cary Beck at Lucasfilm, who “loved the idea.” However, when they took the script over to Disney, they were shut down.

“We presented the script to Lucasfilm. They loved the idea,” Driver recalled. “They totally understood our angle and why we were doing it. We took it to Bob Iger and Alan Bergman, and they said no. They didn’t see how Ben Solo was alive. And that was that.”

Lucasfilm declined to comment.

Soderbergh told AP of the experience, “I really enjoyed making the movie in my head. I’m just sorry the fans won’t get to see it.” Driver agreed, calling the project “one of the coolest (expletive) scripts I had ever been a part of.”

Driver debuted as Kylo Ren in 2015’s “The Force Awakens,” and reprised the role in 2017’s “The Last Jedi” and 2019’s “The Rise of Skywalker.”

Cohen Media Group Picks Up Stéphane Demoustier’s ‘The Great Arch’

by jummy84 October 20, 2025
written by jummy84

EXCLUSIVE: Cohen Media Group has taken U.S. domestic distribution rights to Stéphane Demoustier‘s The Great Arch.

The historical drama is based on the true story of the Great Arch of La Défense, one of the most ambitious architectural undertakings of modern France in a story about Danish architect Otto von Spreckelsen, who was thrust into the spotlight after winning the 1983 international competition to design the Great Arch of La Défense. Against all odds, von Spreckelsen emerges as the unlikely winner. Propelled from obscurity in Denmark to the helm of a pharaonic project in Paris, his uncompromising vision soon collides with political maneuvering, bureaucratic obstacles, and the harsh realities of construction.

The historical drama made its world premiere in the Un Certain Regard section at last spring’s Cannes Film Festival and is set for a U.S. Domestic premiere at this year’s AFI Film Festival on Oct. 26 at 8 pm. The Great Arch will play in stateside theaters in early 2026.

The acquisition was negotiated by Robert Aaronson, Executive Vice President of Cohen Media Group, with Romain Rancurel, Head of Sales at Le Pacte, on behalf of the filmmakers.

Pic is produced by Muriel Meynard at Paris-based production company Ex Nihilo. The Great Arch is also co-produced with Zentropa (Denmark), France 3 Cinéma (France), and Le Pacte (France).

Robert Aaronson, EVP of Cohen Media Group, stated, “We are thrilled to introduce the work of Stéphane Demoustier to U.S. audiences with his latest masterwork, The Great Arch. He has seamlessly woven the facts of a true story with the fictional elements of a deeply felt drama. Claes Bang delivers a career-best performance.”

Romain Rancurel, Head of Sales at Le Pacte, added, “Following a warm reception at the Cannes Film Festival, we’re thrilled to partner with Cohen Media Group for the upcoming U.S. release of Stéphane Demoustier’s The Great Arch. Charles S. Cohen’s dedication to bringing French cinema to U.S. audiences is undisputed. And thanks to CMG’s Landmark Theatres, the largest independent circuit in the U.S., Americans will soon be able to discover the film as it ought to be seen: on the big screen.”

Vicky McClure plays down Line of Duty return rumours but hints at new project

by jummy84 October 20, 2025
written by jummy84

The rumour mill continues to churn when it comes to Line of Duty, but while we may not have any concrete updates regarding the future of the BBC crime drama, Vicky McClure has teased a potential future project with her co-stars.

In an interview with Radio Times magazine for next week’s issue, McClure was clear that she didn’t “have any updates, I’m afraid”, regarding the future of Line of Duty.

“I don’t want to give anyone any false hope,” she explained. “We’ve all been very clear that we’d absolutely love to do another series.”

She did tease an entirely different kind of role, though, adding: “Adrian [Dunbar], Martin [Compston] and I have been talking about doing a travel show together, though. If any of us ever has any spare time, we’ll do it. Line of Duty gave us two brilliant things – our careers and our friendship.”

So, could we be getting a travelogue fronted by the Line of Duty stars sometime soon? While nothing of the sort has been confirmed, we’re sure audiences would be grateful to see the trio back on our screens in some form or another.

Line of Duty. BBC

However, it was more recently intimated that Line of Duty would be making its anticipated return with Dunbar previously stating that the BBC drama is ready to return for filming next year.

He’d told The Times: “We’re really excited about getting our hands on a Line of Duty script, to see what happens to us. Jed is writing. We’ve talked to the BBC.

“It is down to the BBC to make an announcement, but we’re keeping our fingers crossed that next year we’ll be working on a new series. No doubt Jed will think of some interesting twists and turns.”

A few months prior, it had been reported that the schedules of Dunbar, Compston and McClure had been lined up to film new episodes, with filming reportedly set to kick off in January 2026.

At the time, the BBC declined to comment on the news when approached by RadioTimes.com.

Read more:

Compston appeared to dispel those rumours though, saying that due to the actors’ busy schedules, if anything were to happen with a new season, it would be “a way off”.

While it all remains quite the mystery, we do know for certain that McClure will be back on our screens in the third instalment of heart-racing thriller, Trigger Point.

The series follows McClure’s Lana Washington, a Metropolitan Police explosives officer, who is set to investigate a bomb threat that “reveals itself to be the start of a sinister vendetta”.

The synopsis continues: “Someone is targeting individuals, and demanding revenge.

“Working alongside the Police Counterterrorism Unit, the Bomb Disposal Squad race against time to find the bomber before they claim their next victim.”

Why Ree Drummond Was ‘Concerned’ During Recent Visit From Granddaughter Sofia

by jummy84 October 20, 2025
written by jummy84

Being a grandparent can be tough, and that’s a lesson Ree Drummond learned during time spent with her baby granddaughter, Sofia.

Drummond shared some sweet photos of herself and Sofia on a walk via her Instagram Stories. In the since-expired snaps, reshared by The Pioneer Woman‘s website, Drummond crouched down to pose next to her granddaughter in a stroller. However, the true story behind the photos left the TV personality worried.

“I couldn’t get up,” Drummond wrote alongside one of the photos. “I’m laughing on the outside but I was actually concerned,”

The 56-year-old Foot Network star poked fun at the reason behind her weak knees in the second snap, which read, “Sofia has made me go on 3 walks in 24 hrs.”

Drummond excluded the story behind the pics when she later shared one via Facebook. “My little peanut pookie princess. 🥜🐻👸 She loves her walks!!” she captioned the Friday, October 17, upload.

Last June, Drummond’s eldest child, daughter Alex, announced via Instagram that she and her husband, Mauricio Scott, were expecting their first child. (Ree also shares kids Paige, 26, Bryce, 23, Jamar, 23, and Todd, 21, with her husband, Ladd Drummond.)

“My first baby is having her first baby. My child is going to have a child,” Drummond wrote via her Pioneer Woman blog at the time. “It’s surreal, and I’m sure all of you grandparents can relate to the feeling of momentarily leaving your body after hearing upon hearing similar news.”

Ree announced Sofia’s birth via her website in December 2024. “My daughter just had a daughter. I’m honestly still trying to wrap my head (and heart) around it all,” she wrote alongside photos of herself and her family meeting the little one in this hospital. “Alex did great, and so did Mauricio.”

Ree gushed over being a grandmother in a March 23 Instagram post, writing, “When your firstborn has a baby that looks exactly like she looked, you get to relive all the delicious feelings of first-time motherhood, but without the sleep deprivation, hormones, and confusion. I didn’t think I was ready yet to cross over to the granny side of the street, but Lord in Heaven…I am loving it and I’m so grateful for this gift.”

Ree shared another funny moment from Sofia’s recent visit via Instagram on Thursday, October 16. “Me: ‘I’m not in any hurry to be a grandmother.’ Also me:” she wrote over a clip of her silhouette dancing behind closed curtains, much to Sofia’s amusement. In the post’s caption, Ree added, “Just don’t call me Granny.”

The filmmaker tells IndieWire that he really wanted Iran to submit his “It Was Just an Accident” for the Oscars. (France submitted it instead.) Or, better still, for the Academy to change the rules of international feature film eligibility so they don’t favor democracies.
