Ed Sheeran Reveals His Favorite Rappers And Rap Albums Of All Time

by jummy84 September 11, 2025
written by jummy84

Ed Sheeran has never been shy about his love for Hip-Hop, and now he’s letting fans in on which albums and rappers top his list. During a recent sit-down on GOAT Talk with actor Barry Keoghan, the British singer-songwriter revealed that his go-to records come from some of the game’s most championed lyricists.

“It’s that whole world. You have Get Rich or Die Tryin’, The Documentary – Game, or The Marshall Mathers LP,” she revealed. “Those three, I could put them on in any scenario. 2001 – Dr. Dre is another one.”

Keoghan named Get Rich or Die Tryin’ as his favorite, which prompted Sheeran to share a moment that proves his love for 50 runs deep. “I was listening to that weirdly with my dad the other day. We were in Italy. I was topless with a beer in my hand, explaining to him how great ‘If I Can’t’ was because it’s not a full eight bar chorus,” he laughed.

Sheeran has always shared his high regards for Eminem throughout his career as well. He’s often shared how rapping along to The Marshall Mathers LP as a kid helped him overcome stuttering.

“By learning that record, and rapping it back to back to back to back, it cured my stutter,” he previously told Howard Stern. Sheeran has also collabed with Em on three songs and has shared the stage with him.

50 Cent, who’s close friends with the Detroit icon, also gave Sheeran a major co-sign once after seeing his acoustic cover of “In Da Club.” At the time, Fif reposted it on Instagram with the caption: “Ed Sheeran right now in LA at the John Mayer concert Killing sh*t! BOOM.”

Busta Rhymes chimed in, dropping a slew of fire emojis in the comments.

Aside from U.S. rappers, Sheeran also gave flowers to U.K. spitters Skepta, Dave, Wretch 32, and Stormzy.

Mclusky Announce 2026 North American Tour

by jummy84 September 11, 2025
written by jummy84

Welsh rock band Mclusky are returning to North America for a 2026 tour. It marks their first time playing the United States and Canada since releasing The World Is Still Here and So Are We, their comeback album and first LP in 20 years. Check out the complete list of tour dates below.

“Nostalgia—which is a powerful drug, it turns out—brought us back to your shores just a couple of years ago. Some people got to remember what they were like when they were 20—their hopes, their dreams, their fully operational knee joints,” frontman Andrew Falkous said. “Now we all get a chance to break free from nostalgia, to prove to ourselves that we’re more than the cast of cocoon sporting telecasters. We (the band) get to play the old songs—the ‘hits’ as a much loved grandparent might have it—and the new ones too. (Well, probably five or six of them over the course of a set, that’s the magic number for ‘new.’)”

The band—whose lineup currently stars singer-guitarist Andrew Falkous, drummer Jack Egglestone, and bassist Damien Sayell—released its previous album, The Difference Between Me and You Is That I’m Not on Fire, in 2004. Afterward, Mclusky released the compilation Mcluskyism and split up. It wasn’t until 2022 that Mclusky formally reunited as a band to play shows together again and record new music, starting with the double-A-side single “Unpopular Parts of a Pig / The Digger You Deep.”

Glen Powell says Chris Pratt in ‘Guardians Of The Galaxy’ changed Hollywood

by jummy84 September 11, 2025
written by jummy84

Glen Powell has described Chris Pratt’s performance in Guardians Of The Galaxy as changing the landscape of Hollywood for him and other actors.

Pratt was initially a comedy actor, best known for sitcom Parks And Recreation prior to entering the Marvel Cinematic Universe. He would play Peter Quill AKA Star-Lord in six MCU movies and a Guardians Of The Galaxy Christmas special, all of which would launch him into action stardom alongside the success of his role in Jurassic World.

Powell is considered one of Hollywood’s up-and-coming leading men thanks to hits such as Twisters, Top Gun Maverick, and the forthcoming remake of The Running Man. In a new interview with GQ, he puts his success partly down to Pratt making lighter performances more attractive to studios.

“I remember when Chris Pratt broke out in Guardians of the Galaxy,” he said. “There’s no doubt it really helped—not being brooding or dark. Like, I’m not Christian Bale. Christian Bale has a gravitas and a weight, and (Robert) Pattinson had his thing. And when Pratt kind of appeared on the scene where he was doing things that were a little more silly and buoyant, that’s where I feel most at home. And that’s where I feel like I had a gear that is a necessary flavour in terms of Hollywood, and not a gear that a lot of guys can play.”

He would explain that, prior to that moment, he would find himself being offered characters who were “the jock, or the fraternity guy, or the very vanilla next-door-neighbour vibes. You get cast into these very broad things.”

The Running Man, directed by Edgar Wright and based on the book by Stephen King, comes to cinemas on November 14.

Recently, Glen Powell dismissed the idea that he could be in the running to be the next James Bond, saying that producers should “Get an authentic Brit for that job.”

Junior H Plans to Perform at Tijuana Concert Despite Cartel Threat

by jummy84 September 10, 2025
written by jummy84

Authorities are investigating an alleged cartel death threat directed at Junior H asking the corridos singer not to perform in Tijuana at an upcoming show. A rep for the singer confirms to Rolling Stone on Wednesday that “the date is still on” and tickets will continue to be on sale, despite the alleged threat.

According to Mexican newspaper El Universal, a “narco manta,” or banner, was allegedly hung in the Buena Vista area of Tijuana and found by police around 4 a.m. Wednesday morning. The Baja California Prosecutor’s Office confirmed to Billboard that it was investigating the incident.

“Junior H, refrain from showing up on 08/11. If not, you’re going to get yourself killed,” reads the supposed banner, shared on social media, in Spanish. “Stop the nonsense: Not singing narcocorridos, it won’t save you. We do not forgive. Signed: CJNG.”

The prosecutor’s office in Tijuana did not immediately respond to Rolling Stone‘s request for comment but told Billboard that it would “provide full security” for Junior if he does choose to perform at the city’s Estadio Caliente.

In recent months, Junior has refrained from singing the narcocorrdios in his discography, including during a Coachella performance in April. Junior welcomed Peso Pluma onstage and they skipped their collaboration “El Azul,” written about a drug cartel leader in Sinaloa.

Junior H is currently on his $ad Boyz Live & Broken Tour across the United States, with a show scheduled for Charlotte tomorrow. He’s set to conclude his U.S. run in early November at Los Angeles’ Hollywood Bowl. He is still scheduled to play Tijuana two days later, on Nov. 8.

Trending Stories

The news around Junior H’s threat comes several months after Grupo Firme canceled a performance in Mazatlán, Sinaloa over a narcomanta Firme ended up canceling the show. “The well-being of the people who’ve been with us through this journey: our family, which is all of you, our fans, is and will always be the most important thing,” read the statement.

Several years, ago Peso Pluma and Fuerza Régida were forced to cancel their shows in Tijuana after similar narco manta threats — supposedly on behalf of the Cártel Jalisco Nueva Generación — were placed around the city.

Dame Dash Calls Out Cam’ron for Joining 50 Cent ‘Paid in Full’ Series

by jummy84 September 10, 2025
written by jummy84

Dame Dash has responded to the news of 50 Cent and Cam’ron teaming up to develop and produce a television series based on the 2002 cult classic Paid in Full.

50 recently announced that he purchased the rights to the movie and has Cam attached as an executive producer. “I now have the rights to PAID IN FULL, im developing it into a premium Tv show,” he captioned on Instagram. “If you like God Father of Harlem your gonna love this. Cam set to Executive produce along side me, if you want in get at him I’m out of the country.”

After the news was announced, Dame took to his Instagram to congratulate Cam and wished them the best of luck. Well, sort of.

“Cam just made a post, major announcement,” Dash said in a video. “I wanna congratulate him for making 50 his new boss. So, congratulations, Cam, 50 is now your new boss and you’re proud of it. Congratulations, my n—a.”

Paid in Full was loosely based on teenage Harlem drug kingpins Azie “AZ” Faison, Rich Porter and Albert “Alpo” Martinez and was executive produced by Dash and starred Cam’ron as Rico. which was a character based on Alpo.

In fact, earlier this year, the Harlem rapper told a story about randomly running into Alpo before the former drug kingpin was killed in a road rage incident back in 2021 and said Martinez critiqued his portrayal in the movie. “I meant to tell you, man,” Alpo apparently said. “You did a great job in the movie, your movement was off a little bit. You wasn’t movin’ exactly how I move, but you did a good job.”

It Was “Mind-Blowing” When Madonna Gave Deftones Her Approval

by jummy84 September 10, 2025
written by jummy84

Deftones were one of the earliest signings to Maverick Records, the label co-founded by Madonna. Looking back on that time, frontman Chino Moreno admits it was “mind-blowing” to get the pop superstar’s seal of approval.

The Deftones singer discussed the band’s interactions with Madonna in a new interview with The Irish Times. As he recalled, “It was [A&R rep] Guy [Oseary] who discovered us first, and then he and [Maverick co-founder] Freddy DeMann flew us from our base in Sacramento to Los Angeles, where we played a couple of songs for them in a little rehearsal space.”

Moreno continued, “That same day we were invited to the record-label offices in Beverly Hills, where I got to meet Madonna, which was mind-blowing. So, yeah, she definitely gave us the thumbs-up. It was crazy to be a 20-year-old kid and have somebody whose music I’ve been listening to since I was 10 years old give us her approval. It was hard to take in.”

As for Madonna’s input into Deftones’ music, Moreno said she “wasn’t as hands-on as maybe you would think. In no way was she dictating our creative direction or anything like that, and, in general, the label let us be us.”

The Material Girl has attended a number of Deftones concerts over the years, with Moreno noting, “They were a little nerve-wrenching, because you knew she was watching you… One of the biggest artists in the world knew who we were. It was awesome and very, very cool.”

Deftones remained on Maverick Records from 1995 through 2006. Maverick went defunct in 2009, and Deftones have been releasing their music through Warner Music’s Reprise Records ever since.

The band’s latest album is Private Music, which arrived last month. Deftones are currently supporting the LP with a North American tour (pick up tickets here), with dates running through September 19th show in Atlanta, followed by festival appearances at Louder Than Life, Aftershock, and their own Dia De Los Deftones.

Mike Tyson Reveals He Used Fentanyl During Boxing Career

by jummy84 September 10, 2025
written by jummy84

Mike Tyson‘s storied career has been closely observed by the world, but there are still some discoveries that have yet to be widely revealed. The renowned boxer spoke about how he has had experience using fentanyl during his boxing career decades ago — a confession that shocked many.

While speaking on The Katie Miller Podcast about his journey as a cannabis entrepreneur, Tyson delved into the substances he has used before. He said he was initially exposed to fentanyl for pain relief, but experienced withdrawal symptoms when he attempted to stop.

“I’ve done fentanyl before. In the late ’90s, when it first came here, it was a painkiller, and I used to use it to patch up my toe. It was like heroin, once it wears off and you take the Band-Aid off, you start withdrawing, throwing up, just like if you were on heroin or something,” he said.

The 59-year-old added he did it “quite a few times,” but stopped because it “was illegal if it [was] caught in my bloodstream,” which he was initially unaware of.

He explained, “It was a narcotic, my friend told me. It was brand new. I told my friend, ‘Could I use this? Would I be able to use this?’ No one ever heard of it.’ You couldn’t use it, and I didn’t know that. I thought it was a painkiller.” The boxer added he would have continued to use it if he was allowed to.

According to the DEA, fentanyl is a “potent synthetic opioid drug approved by the Food and Drug Administration for use as an analgesic (pain relief) and anesthetic.” It is approximately 50 times more potent than heroin as an analgesic and 100 times more potent than morphine. The CDC reported the drug caused 48,422 overdose-released deaths in the United States back in 2024.

Tyson has opened up about his battles with drug addiction throughout his life. In his autobiography, The Undisputed Truth, he admitted to fighting under the influence of marijuana and cocaine. He said he was a “full-blown cokehead” during certain chapters of his career, and he tested positive for marijuana in 2000 before his fight with Andrew Golota.

The “Baddest Man on the Planet” made headlines last year for stepping into the ring with Jake Paul. In November 2024, the two faced off and Paul defeated Tyson in 8 rounds by a unanimous decision.

Louis Tomlinson “got a really good feeling” about his next album

by jummy84 September 10, 2025

Louis Tomlinson is teasing his next solo album, saying he’s “got a really, really good feeling” about the project.

  • READ MORE: Louis Tomlinson on finding his artistic identity: “It’ll be an ever-evolving process”

The soloist and former One Direction member released his second and latest full-length effort, ‘Faith In The Future’, in 2022.

Taking to X/Twitter today (September 10), Tomlinson shared an update with fans about his upcoming third LP.

“Just sat listening to the new record and I’ve got a really, really good feeling this time round!” he wrote. “Can’t wait for you all to hear it!!”

Later, the star hinted that he was “going to play something new” at this year’s edition of his Away From Home indie festival in New York next month. When a fan asked if this would be “only one new song”, Tomlinson replied: “That wouldn’t be fair would it.”

The singer told his followers last week that it was “about time” he played some new material on stage. He said he was “really excited about” his Away From Home ’25 slot, adding: “Got a few surprises. Should be fun.”

Fans have also been speculating over Tomlinson posting numerous question marks on social media, and whether this is a clue about his next era. Check out a selection of posts below.

According to Music-News.COM, Tomlinson previously described his forthcoming new tracks as “sunny” with some “chaos” when asked by a fan what to expect.

When performing at the Lodz Summer Festival in July, he reportedly revealed that he’d “actually finished the next record”.

Tomlinson’s Away From Home Festival 2025 takes place at the Brewery Ommegang in New York on October 4 and 5. Other performers include Lauv, Steve Aoki, Pale Waves and Circa Waves.

Following on from his 2020 debut, ‘Walls’, Tomlinson’s second album was produced by Mike Crossey, who has worked with the likes of Arctic Monkeys, The 1975 and Wolf Alice. The singer co-wrote the record alongside The Music frontman Rob Harvey, and the songwriting and production team Red Triangle.

During an interview with NME in 2022, the singer said he was “definitely” more comfortable with who he was as an artist compared to when he first went solo.

“That has been a process and I think it’ll be an ever-evolving process as well,” Tomlinson explained. “But I definitely feel really comfortable about just following my heart musically and seeing where it gets me.”

You can revisit NME‘s video interview with Tomlinson above.

Over the summer, the singer hit out at online “conspiracy chat” about his personal life. “It’s just too much and too hurtful for me to see!” he wrote on social media.

In 2023, Tomlinson admitted that he felt some “envy” when his former One Direction bandmate Harry Styles first started becoming successful as a soloist.

For Good’ to Feature 2 New Ariana Grande, Cynthia Erivo Songs

by jummy84 September 10, 2025
written by jummy84

New movie will include two original songs

When Wicked: For Good arrives in theaters later this year, Ariana Grande‘s Glinda and Cynthia Erivo‘s Elphaba will face hard truths through new songs. Stephen Schwartz composed two new songs for the film, but director Jon Chu assures moviegoers with a particular attachment to the original soundtrack that they wouldn’t have added them if they weren’t essential. “Even after we recorded them, even after we put them in the movie,” he told EW, “we kicked the tires on them to make sure that we had to put them in this movie.”

While the song titles have not been revealed, Chu shared details about how they assist in moving the story forward. “They’re questioning, ‘What is home? And what happens when you are fighting for a home that you realize doesn’t even want you there, or was never meant for you? Do you defend it? Do you fight for it? Does anyone else think of home the same as you?’” he said. Wicked concluded with Elphaba taking off toward the west following an explosive performance of “Defying Gravity,” leaving Glinda behind.

“Glinda is the one that has to ultimately pop her own bubble,” Chu said. “She has to leave her privilege to actually see other people’s struggles and fight for justice and equality.” Both characters are looking for answers and understanding. For the director, it’s a similar experience to what he felt watching the original production. “Both of these songs are about how to do that, and it’s questions that I’ve always wanted to hear from them in the stage show, but never got to,” he said. “We get to take our time and explore those questions.”

Trending Stories

Erivo worked with Schwartz to compose one of the Wicked: For Good original numbers. “When we filmed it, the entire crew was in tears. I hope audiences are ready — it’s a song that speaks to the heart of who Elphaba is,” she teased earlier this year. “I have a feeling that even the title will move you … We’re diving deeper into the consequences of the characters’ choices. The story is richer, and the stakes are higher. It’s not just a continuation; it’s a transformation.”

Wicked: For Good hits theaters on Nov. 21, 2025. “They ask us elemental questions of being human, not just the great parts — the celebratory, joyful parts of being human — but the scary, dark parts that test us,” Chu said. “Everybody thinks it’s about this time, and yet it’s about all time. We are a little bit good and we all are a little bit wicked, and how do we navigate that?”
