“The way of water has no beginning… and no end…” Time to go back again before the story continues. 20th Century Studios has debuted another new 45-second trailer to promote the upcoming re-release of James Cameron’s Avatar 2 – also known as Avatar: The Way of the Water. This massive, action-packed sci-fi sequel first hit theaters in December 2022 a few years ago. Right now they’re gearing up to launch Avatar 3 – known as Avatar: Fire and Ash (watch the teaser) – in theaters this December. The only spot left on the calendar for a week-long IMAX re-release is in early October this fall. A chance to revisit this second movie before the third one arrives. Once a familiar threat returns to finish what was started, Jake must work with Neytiri and another new army of the Na’vi race to protect their planet. They take to the waters, where even more fascinating creatures are found. The Way of Water cast features Zoe Saldana, Sam Worthington, Kate Winslet, Sigourney Weaver, Bailey Bass, Trinity Jo-Li Bliss, Jack Champion, Michelle Yeoh, Jemaine Clement, Stephen Lang, Cliff Curtis, Edie Falco, CCH Pounder, and Joel David Moore. I still prefer the first Avatar movie over this one, but at least we got to meet Payakan in Avatar 2. I’m ready for the next sequel, and of course it’s still exciting to rewatch these first two before the big release.

Here’s the new 2025 re-release trailer for James Cameron’s Avatar: The Way of Water, via YouTube:

Avatar: The Way of Water Poster

You can rewatch the teaser trailer for James Cameron’s Avatar 2 right here, and the gorgeous first trailer.

Set more than a decade after the events of the first film, Avatar: The Way of Water launches the story of the Sully family (Jake, Neytiri, and their kids), the trouble that follows them, the lengths they go to keep each other safe, the battles they fight to stay alive, and the tragedies they endure. All of this against the backdrop of the breathtaking seascapes of Pandora, where audiences are introduced to new Na’vi cultures and a range of exotic sea creatures. Avatar 2: The Way of Water is directed by iconic Canadian filmmaker James Cameron, director of the movies Piranha II: The Spawning, The Terminator, Aliens, The Abyss, Terminator 2: Judgment Day, True Lies, Titanic, and Avatar previously. The screenplay is co-written by James Cameron & Rick Jaffa & Amanda Silver (of the Planet of the Apes sequels), from a story by Cameron, Rick Jaffa & Amanda Silver, Josh Friedman, Shane Salerno. Produced by James Cameron and Jon Landau. The epic sci-fi sequel originally opened in theaters in December 2022. 20th Century Studios + Disney are re-releasing Cameron’s Avatar: The Way of Water in theaters again starting October 3rd, 2025 this fall before the next movie lands in December. Netflix’s hit show Wednesday is officially coming back for a third season. The gothic teen series starring Jenna Ortega has become one of the streamer’s most-watched shows, and fans are already eager to know what’s next after the shocking Season 2 finale. While the release date is still under wraps, creators Alfred Gough and Miles Millar have confirmed that Season 3 is in the works — with more Addams Family secrets and hints at new storylines ahead.

Gough reflected on the renewal in July 2025, saying, “Television has — and always will be — a team sport. Miles and I have been doing this long enough to know that shows like this don’t come along every day. It’s such an alchemy of writing, directing, acting, crew, streamer, studio, and fans. We remain grateful and excited to continue this journey and tell these stories with all of our partners.”

Below, find out everything we know so far about Wednesday Season 3, from potential cast returns to plot details and more.

Is Wednesday Getting a Season 3?

Yes — Netflix renewed Wednesday for Season 3 on July 23, 2025, even before Season 2 premiered.

When Will Wednesday Season 3 Be Released?

A release date has not been announced. Season 2 arrived a little under three years after the show’s debut in November 2022.

Filming on the second season began in early 2024 after delays caused by the WGA and SAG-AFTRA strikes, which pushed back many productions as unions reached new deals with studios. Season 2 also marked a shift in location, with production moving to Ireland after Season 1 was filmed in Romania from September 2021 to March 2022.

Which Wednesday Cast Members Are Returning for Season 3?

Though the full cast lineup for Season 3 hasn’t been confirmed, it’s expected to include the main ensemble — Ortega, Catherine Zeta-Jones, Luis Guzmán, Emma Myers, Fred Armisen, Joanna Lumley, Hunter Doohan, and others — based on their continued presence in the story’s mythology.

What Will Wednesday Season 3 Be About?

Details remain under wraps, but co-creators Gough and Millar have teased that Season 3 will delve deeper into character arcs, expand the world of Nevermore, and reveal more secrets of the Addams Family. Most intriguingly, the Season 2 finale introduced Aunt Ophelia — the surprise presence scribbling “Wednesday Must Die” in Grandmama’s basement — establishing a major plot thread for Season 3.

“I’m trying…” “I won’t be here forever.” Music Box Films has revealed an official US trailer for the lovely, must see film titled The Summer Book, directed by filmmaker Charlie McDowell (of The One I Love, The Discovery, Windfall). This premiered at various festivals last year including London, AFI Fest, Stockholm, Camerimage, and many others. This peaceful and poetic film is set on wonderful little island in Scandinavia. It is the inspirational tale of a young girl and her grandmother spending a summer on a small, uninhabited island in the Gulf of Finland. Her father is struggling with the death of his wife while his daughter’s curiosity grows. Adapted from Tove Jansson’s beloved novel, The Summer Book is a delicate account of growing up and growing old, beautifully filmed on 16mm in majestic natural light. This fantastic little film stars Glenn Close as Grandmother, Anders Danielsen Lie as Father, and the delightful Emily Matthews as Sophia, with Ingvar Sigurdsson as Eriksson. This is such a special film, and I am very happy to be quoted in this trailer from a glowing review I wrote last year. I’ve been recommending it to everyone… Catch it in theaters.

Here’s the official trailer (+ poster) for Charlie McDowell’s film The Summer Book, direct from YouTube:

The Summer Book Trailer

The Summer Book Poster

9-year-old Sophia (Emily Matthews) spends the summers at her family’s seasonal home on a tranquil isle in the Gulf of Finland, but this will be the first summer without her mother. Her father (Anders Danielsen Lie) remains numbed by grief, while her grandmother (Glenn Close) guides her on a giddy, winding path towards young adulthood. With a sense of infinite possibility and a tender regard for the wonders of the natural world, Sophia and her grandmother explore the terrain, celebrate midsommar, and test the limits of faith in the face of life’s many storms. The Summer Book is directed by acclaimed American filmmaker Charlie McDowell, director of the films The One I Love, The Discovery, and Windfall previously, and eps of “Tales from the Loop” & “Dispatches from Elsewhere”. The screenplay is written by Robert Jones. Based on the book of the same name written by Tove Jansson. It’s produced by Aleksi Bardy, Kevin Loader, Kath Mattock, Charlie McDowell, Duncan Montgomery, Alex Orlovsky, Helen Vinogradov. This first premiered at the 2024 London Film Festival last year (read our review). Music Box Films opens McDowell’s The Summer Book in select US theaters starting on September 19th, 2025 coming soon. How Much Money Does He Have Now? – Hollywood Life

MrBeast’s rise to fame is unmatched. The YouTuber, whose real name is Jimmy Donaldson, has redefined what it means to be a content creator. With viral stunts, massive giveaways, and a business empire that spans everything from snacks to streaming, he’s become a household name—and a serious earner.

So, just how much money has he made by now? Find out more about his massive net worth below.

How Did MrBeast Get Rich?

Donaldson began his YouTube career in 2012 at the age of 13, initially posting gaming content and reaction videos. His major breakthrough came in 2017 with a video where he counted to 100,000—an odd yet captivating stunt that went viral and marked the start of his rise. From there, he leaned into over-the-top challenges, massive giveaways, and philanthropic acts, which quickly grew his audience. As his videos racked up billions of views, he began earning significant income through YouTube’s ad revenue and brand partnerships.

But Donaldson didn’t stop at content creation. He expanded into business with ventures like Feastables, a snack company that reportedly generated $215 million in revenue in 2024, and MrBeast Burger, a virtual restaurant brand that launched in 2020.

In 2024, he announced Beast Games, a reality competition series produced by Amazon Prime Video. The show featured 1,000 contestants competing for a record-breaking $10 million prize—the largest single cash prize in reality television history. The first season premiered on December 19, 2024, and quickly became one of Prime Video’s most popular shows, drawing viewers from within and beyond the US.

On top of that, he founded Beast Philanthropy, a nonprofit that funds food banks, disaster relief, and more. These efforts collectively turned MrBeast into a media empire—and made him one of the richest and most influential creators in the world.

What Is MrBeast’s Net Worth?

As of 2025, MrBeast’s net worth is estimated at $1 billion, according to Celebrity Net Worth. This makes him the world’s youngest self-made billionaire at age 27. His business empire, Beast Industries, generated $473 million in revenue in 2024 and is projected to reach $899 million in 2025, according to Business Insider.

Did MrBeast Buy the NFL?

No — MrBeast did not buy the NFL.

A recent video sparked the rumor after MrBeast humorously posed the question, “What if MrBeast bought the NFL?” in a playful promo alongside NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell. The clip, which imagines adding a special 54th roster spot on every team for YouTube creators, was released to promote YouTube’s first-ever exclusive live NFL broadcast, not any actual ownership change. The promo features creators like Dude Perfect, Valkyrae, IShowSpeed, and others—none of which indicates a real takeover.

That said, the stunt was a clever marketing move: YouTube is streaming a Week 1 matchup between the Chargers and Chiefs for free on Friday, September 5, 2025, live from São Paulo, Brazil.

Venice 2025: ‘Dead Man’s Wire’ is a Vintage 1970s Folk Hero Story

by Alex Billington
September 3, 2025

This is a true story. It all really happened. Now 48 years later it’s being retold again and will find new life as a folk hero story about a man frustrated with the system who decides to try and make a difference… Even if the way he sets the record straight isn’t exactly legal or very nice, all that matters is he causes a scene and gets people to listen to his plight. Sometimes that’s what it takes, right? When the system is totally broken and there’s nothing else you can really do, you might need to break some laws and shake things up. No one was hurt! Thankfully. It’s all gravy! Dead Man’s Wire is a brand new, true story crime thriller made by acclaimed American filmmaker Gus Van Sant. It’s his first feature film in 7 years, since last making Don’t Worry, He Won’t Get Far on Foot back in 2018. Van Sant seems to still be into telling crime stories from America’s past, as this is yet another story about a peculiar incident. But who’s the actual criminal in this story? That’s up to you to decide. The press screening audience at the 2025 Venice Film Festival was so into this story & what happens, they cheered non-stop during the credits. This guy certainly got their attention…

Directed by successful indie filmmaker Gus Van Sant (his 18th feature film so far), from a screenplay written by Austin Kolodney, this is an actual story and it all really happened. The morning of February 8th, 1977, Anthony G. “Tony” Kiritsis (played by Bill Skarsgård), 44, entered the offices of Richard O. “Dick” Hall (Dacre Montgomery), president of the Meridian Mortgage Company, and took him hostage with a sawed-off 12-gauge shotgun wired with a “dead man’s wire” from the trigger to the Hall’s head. His plan was to get his father, played by a very grump Al Pacino, but he was on vacation so he took his son instead. Back in those days the cops were pretty careless, so Tony proceeds to take Dick out and into his car, and drive down to his apartment where he holds him hostage for days. There was no shootout or anything. Tony didn’t really want to hurt Dick – he was pissed at how the rich bastards who run Meridian Mortgage treated him. His demands to let him go involved getting his money back and Meridian issuing a public apology. Eventually he asked for immunity, too. Somehow, the cops agreed and nothing had happened to anyone. Because while this is the story of a scary hostage situation, it’s actually about all the greedy bastards who ruin other people, and a tale of one man who did whatever he could to show the world he wouldn’t stand for that BS anymore.

While I wasn’t familiar with Tony Kiritsis’ story before, he actually did become a kind of folk hero amongst regular folks who understood with his plight. He’s a bit like the Barefoot Bandit or D.B. Cooper or, dare I say, Luigi Mangione. Van Sant frames this story around a radio DJ named Fred Temple, played perfectly by Colman Domingo. Tony was a big fan of his radio show, so he kinda used Fred to get the word out and tell his story, so that regular people could hear and understand why he was kidnapping and holding him. It actually worked. Sometimes people do listen! And they do sympathize with others being screwed over. There are a few filmmaking flourishes Van Sant adds, otherwise this is a fairly straight-forward, no frills recreation of the story of Tony & Dick. There’s not enough excitement or energy in the storytelling to make it riveting and/or rewatchable. It’s somewhat entertaining, thanks to an exceptionally good wired-up lead performance by Skarsgård as Tony. But I wish there was more to engage with, I wish I felt like shouting from the rooftops once it was over. That said, the message matters the most. And it’s clear the Venice audience caught onto that cheering so loudly when it ended. They were clearly fans of Tony, too… Even though it’s obvious some will argue that he was the bad guy and what he did was wrong. But that can be said about Dick, too, can’t it?

Of course there are plenty of other films like this – most notably Dog Day Afternoon and any of the movies about D.B. Cooper and/or the Barefoot Bandit. The attention-to-detail in recreating the 1970s aesthetic (and stark difference in policing) is impressive, in order to let Tony and all his decisions that February speak for themselves. Van Sant doesn’t try to be preachy and doesn’t need to be. Even if the film is a bit rough around the edges, it’s a clever story and maybe some other viewers will be more amped up watching this than I was.

Does Enid Die in ‘Wednesday’ Season 2? Updates & Spoilers on Her Fate – Hollywood Life

by jummy84 September 3, 2025
written by jummy84

Woe is us after watching the explosive second season of Wednesday. Part 1 revealed one character’s imminent death: Enid Sinclair (Emma Myers). Meanwhile, Wednesday Addams (Jenna Ortega) must race against time to save her best friend and roommate “or die trying.” But is it true — does Enid actually die in part 2 of the series?

Below, Hollywood Life has the answers from the second season of Wednesday. (Warning: spoilers are ahead on Wednesday season 2 part 2)

How to Watch Wednesday Season 2 Episodes

All episodes of Wednesday are streaming on Netflix.

Season 2 of Wednesday premiered in two parts on Netflix. The first four episodes (part 1) dropped on August 6, 2025, followed by the remaining four episodes (part 2) on September 3, 2025. This eight-episode season continues the show’s signature pun-filled tone, beginning with “Here We Woe Again” and continuing with “The Devil You Woe,” “Call of the Woe,” and “If These Woes Could Talk.”

Does Enid Sinclair Die in Wednesday Season 2?

Apparently, Enid might die in season 2 of Wednesday, according to a psychic vision that Wednesday has. As seen in part 1 of season 2, Wednesday envisions Enid’s grave, which reads, “In memory of Enid Sinclair,” then a deceased Enid appears to grab Wednesday’s throat and yell, “I died because of you!”

But fear not, woeful fans! Wednesday successfully stops that vision she had of a dead Enid blaming her, but it comes with a cost.

Wednesday discovers that Enid is an alpha werewolf, which means that she will be alone and be stuck in her wolf form forever. While saving Wednesday from a deadly burial, Enid changes into a wolf for strength. She’s then forced to leave Nevermore to avoid harming anyone.

While speaking with Netflix’s Tudum about her character’s future and season 3, Emma said, “Enid is going to be stuck as a werewolf, having some crazy adventures up in Canada. But she’s going on a journey to find how to turn back into a human. Wolf-Enid probably expects Wednesday to come find and help her — or, at least, I imagine she hopes for it.”

Is Enid Leaving Wednesday After Season 2?

It doesn’t sound like Emma is leaving Wednesday after season 2. While speaking with Tudum, she teased that Enid is on a “journey” to figure out how to become human again.

Creatives behind Wednesday, including director and producer Tim Burton, gushed to Variety in April 2025 about Emma. Collectively, they pointed out that Emma is game to try anything new on set and is easy to work with.

“She just surprises you all the time,” Tim told the outlet about Emma. “I didn’t really learn till this season that she could dance so well. She’s not overly demonstrative as a person, so she just kept surprising me, just with her level of humor and her ability to be chromatic and humorous. I like a mixture of people that can do comedy and be emotional at the same time — and she’s got all of those elements.”

As for Emma, she teased that her character, Enid, has “changed over the summer” and is “grown, and she’s become more comfortable with herself.”

“Are you ready?” Yes I am! Let’s go back for more. Sony Pictures has finally revealed the first official trailer for the highly anticipated follow-up sequel 28 Years Later: The Bone Temple, which was shot back-to-back with Alex Garland’s 28 Years Later from earlier this year. This sequel is directed by Nia DaCosta, also from a screenplay written by Alex Garland again, and it lands in theaters in January 2026 in just a few months from now. Awesome. In a continuation of the epic zombie-filled story, Fiennes’ character Dr. Kelson finds himself in a shocking new relationship – with consequences that could change the world as they know it. And Spike’s encounter with Jimmy Crystal (seen at the end of 28YL) becomes a nightmare he now can’t escape. In the world of The Bone Temple, the infected are no longer the greatest threat to survival – the inhumanity of the survivors can be stranger and more terrifying. Indeed it can be – AND IS. This next movie also stars Ralph Fiennes, Alfie Williams, Jack O’Connell, Erin Kellyman, and Chi Lewis-Parry. Another fantastic trailer for this horror sequel with another chilling voiceover! Damn it looks good.

“It’s incredibly profound, and it’s really stupid.” Bleecker Street has unveiled a very funny 5-minute rock doc featurette in promotion of Spinal Tap II: The End Continues, the long-awaited, heavy metal legacy sequel, epic reuniting of unforgettable British rock band Spinal Tap. It’s a proper continuation of the 1984 mockumentary classic that is still just as ridiculously funny today – now 41 years later. In this follow-up, the iconic metal band reunite after a 15-year break for one final concert. “The thing that you guys had as kids, is that still there?” The entire cast rock band is back for more mayhem, as they reunite and deal with all their grudges from the past. Spinal Tap II: The End Continues is once again directed by Rob Reiner, with Christopher Guest, Michael McKean, and Harry Shearer reprising their iconic roles as the legendary heavy metal band Spinal Tap. Reiner returns as documentarian Martin “Marty” DiBergi, with cameos from music legends Elton John, Paul McCartney, as well as Questlove, Garth Brooks and Trisha Yearwood, and many others. This video features people like Ben Stiller, Conan O’Brien, Questlove & others discussing how great the OG Spinal Tap movie is and what makes it a timeless all-timer classic. The comedy, the band, the absurdity of it all. Still hilarious 4 decades later… 🎸 Rewatch the original before the sequel arrives soon.
