Casey Means, a wellness influencer and co-author of Good Energy, was nominated by Donald Trump to be his surgeon general. The Stanford University graduate has been labeled as “Dr.,” and many want to learn more about the pseudoscience advocate, including her personal life and career. One of the most widely speculated topics among fans is whether or not Casey is married or dating anyone.

In May 2025, Trump announced his nomination for Casey to become his surgeon general. He wrote on Truth Social that she has “impeccable ‘MAHA’ [Make American Healthy Again] credentials, and will work closely with our wonderful Secretary of Health and Human Services, Robert F. Kennedy, Jr., to ensure a successful implementation of our agenda in order to reverse the chronic disease epidemic, and ensure great health, in the future, for ALL Americans.”

Below, learn more about Casey.

Is Casey Means a Doctor?

Casey holds a bachelor’s and a master’s degree from Stanford University — not a doctor of medicine degree.

“Her academic achievements, together with her life’s work, are absolutely outstanding,” Trump wrote in his May 2025 Truth Social announcement. “Dr. Casey Means has the potential to be one of the finest surgeon generals in United States History. Congratulations to Casey! Secretary Kennedy looks forward to working with Dr. Janette Nesheiwat in another capacity at HHS.”

Born Paula Casey Means, she dropped out of her surgical residency at Oregon Health and Science University. Casey eventually opened her own pseudoscientific medical practice in Portland, Oregon, though her state license was inactive by 2024. That year, Casey co-authored Good Energy: The Surprising Connection Between Metabolism and Limitless Health, which criticizes mainstream healthcare in the U.S.

After the book became a popular topic, Casey was invited to discuss her views on multiple shows and podcasts, including “The Joe Rogan Experience” and Real Time with Bill Maher.

On why she wrote her book, Casey shared via Instagram in April 2024 that “the metabolic health crisis is the biggest threat we face” in American. In her caption, she went on to claim that the “biggest lie in healthcare is that type 2 diabetes, cancer, heart disease, dementia, Alzheimer’s, depression, arthritis, infertility and more are totally different diseases requiring separate doctors and pills for life.”

“The chronic diseases which account for 90 percent of health costs and nine out of 10 deaths result from the SAME THING — dysfunction in our body’s fundamental ability to produce energy, which is caused by simple environmental features that have changed in just a century,” Casey claimed.

Is Casey Means Married?

Yes, Casey is married to her husband, Brian Nickerson, according to multiple outlets. Some people assumed that Calley Means was her husband. However, Calley is Casey’s brother, and he co-authored Good Energy with his sister.

Does Casey Means Have Kids?

No, Casey does not appear to have children of her own. However, she went into labor with her first child in October 2025.

Perfect Trailer for ‘The Love That Remains’ Icelandic Break Up Comedy

by Alex Billington

“Only normal people with normal feelings & normal problems. Ahh I love this film!! Janus Films debuted the first US trailer for an Icelandic dark comedy film titled The Love That Remains, a sly break up movie from Hlynur Pálmason. This premiered at the 2025 Cannes Film Festival earlier this year & was one of the best films of the fest – it also recently played at NYFF. Anna, an artist, and Magnús, a fisherman, live with their three children & charismatic sheepdog in the quiet grandeur of the Icelandic countryside. As fractures in their marriage come to the surface, the couple try to hold onto the afterimages of a life together and make sense of a deep & lingering devotion. Filmmaker Hlynur Pálmason (also of the immaculate Godland) brings surprising humor and emotional weight to this gorgeous, intimate, and brilliantly expansive scenes from a marriage, amidst the majestic backdrop of the changing seasons. Starring Saga Garðarsdóttir, Sverrir Guðnason, Ída, Mekkín Hlynsdóttir, Grímur Hlynsson, Þorgils Hlynsson, Ingvar Sigurðsson, Anders Mossling. And Panda the doggie. I’m lucky to be quoted in this trailer and on the poster! It’s also Iceland’s official selection for Best International Feature Film for this year’s Oscars. What a brilliant trailer.

Here’s the first US trailer (+ poster) for Hlynur Pálmason’s film The Love That Remains, from YouTube:

The Love That Remains Trailer

A year in the life of a family as parents navigate their separation. Through playful and heartfelt moments, the film portrays the bittersweet nature of faded love and shared memories amidst the changing seasons. The Love That Remains, originally known as Ástin sem eftir er in Icelandic, is written and directed by the acclaimed Icelandic filmmaker Hlynur Pálmason, director of the films Winter Brothers, A White, White Day, and Godland previously, as well as a few other shorts. Produced by Anton Máni Svansson and Katrin Pors. This initially premiered at the 2025 Cannes Film Festival as one of our favorites of the fest (read our review) and it also played at NYFF and London. Janus Films will release Hlynur Pálmason’s The Love That Remains in select US theaters starting on January 30th, 2026 early next year. Who wants to watch this?

Top 5 Hollywood Casino Lovers

Top 5 Hollywood Casino Lovers – Hollywood Life

by jummy84 October 31, 2025
written by jummy84

Imagine being a top Hollywood celebrity. You have millions of adoring fans and enough money to do virtually anything. From buying the most expensive cars to living in lavish mansions, your every whim is fulfilled. And if you like playing casino games, you’re in luck. Hollywood is chock-full of betting lovers who have made headlines and garnered amazing reputations for their escapades at the casino.

Whether it’s movie stars who try to go pro at poker or sports stars splashing millions of dollars at the betting table, there are several casino lovers in Hollywood who regularly spend money on gambling. Their love for the game is closely followed by many fans who visit physical establishments or find alternatives at readwrite to immerse themselves in some of the best online casinos. As for the celebrities themselves, here are a few names of the top casino lovers in Tinseltown.

As a professional boxer, Floyd Mayweather knows all about people placing wagers on the outcomes of his fights. The man himself is certainly not reluctant to shell out the big bucks for gambling. In fact, he’s known for it.  His preference appears to be placing heavy wagers on sporting events. For example, he spent millions betting on NFL and NBA games, as well as weirder things like a Justin Bieber concert. To his credit, he has made both big wins and losses, many of which he shows off on social media. From 2010 to 2012 alone, he raked in $4 million in profits and famously netted $42,500 profit from a bet on the Bivol vs. Canelo fight.

Matt Damon fans might know about his famous role in the 1998 film Rounders, where he played Mike McDermott, a man embroiled in the world of underground high-stakes poker. But while researching the role, he developed a real-life fascination with poker that almost saw his career take a different turn. He began playing poker professionally and even got quite far in the game. He competed in the 1998 World Series of Poker (WSOP) and was eliminated by Pro Doyle Brunson. Not to be deterred, his love for poker continued, and as recently as 2010, he took part in World Series of Poker events. While acting has clearly remained his true passion, he stands out as one of the most prolific poker players in Hollywood.

It wouldn’t be a list of top casino lovers in Hollywood without talking about Tobey Maguire, a man so legendary that his escapades have been immortalized in film. It all began in 2004, when Maguire, hot off Spider-man fame, began playing poker at the tournament level. He got top-notch training from professional Daniel Negreanu and actually did well, attending several World Series of Poker (WSOP) events. But what really made him notable was his participation in underground Hollywood poker tournaments hosted by Molly Bloom in the 2000s. These tournaments were not exactly legal, and having big names like Leo DiCaprio and Maguire meant that some drama was bound to happen. Reportedly, he made Bloom bark like a seal after winning a game. This was portrayed in the film Molly’s Game, which delved into the world of Hollywood poker and cemented his place in Hollywood gambling history.

Legendary actor George Clooney’s love for gambling has been apparent, both on and off-screen. On screen, he is famous for his portrayal of Danny Ocean in the Ocean’s films, a con artist who attempts a high-stakes heist at a luxury casino. In real life, his gambling exploits go far and wide. He famously bet money with fellow actors Michelle Pfeiffer and Nicole Kidman that he would be unmarried and childless by 40, a bet he would go on to win. He’s been reportedly involved in private high-stakes gambling with fellow Hollywood elite and even tried to get into the business himself.

Back in 2005, he teamed up with business partner Rande Gerber for what was supposed to be a $3 billion casino-hotel project called “Las Ramblas” in Las Vegas. Sadly, this was canceled the following year due to market conditions.

Jennifer Tilly is not just an Academy Award-nominated actress who has starred in such iconic films as Bride of Chucky and Made in America. She’s also a very accomplished poker player. She took up the hobby at a young age, as both her father and boyfriend were players. She began playing professionally in the 1990s and by 2005, became the first celebrity to win a World Series of Poker bracelet. Her career winnings have exceeded $1 million, and she was even nominated for  PokerListings’ Spirit of Poker Living Legend Award in 2014.

If there is anything we have learned over the years, it is that the stars love to gamble. From those who take it on as a side career to those whose love of betting has become a Hollywood story in itself, the list is endless. What stars were you surprised to see on this list?

“The creature dies today!” The Asylum has unveiled their official trailer for the B-movie called Predator: Wastelands, available to watch on VOD next week just before the real movie opens. It is an obvious ripoff of the actual Predator: Badlands movie, but now they’re affectionately called “mockbusters”. The Asylum has been making these mockbuster spoofs for decades, and we usually don’t post these trailers, but this is a fun one because the FX & design that went into this is so funny you just have to see it. When an alien hunter arrives on Earth, it takes down a gang of warlords and unexpectedly becomes a folk hero to the oppressed locals. With their support, the alien sets its sights on defeating the warlords’ ruthless leader. Starring David Chokachi, Johnny Ramey, Amulya Ananth, Vanessa Zanardi, L.A. Williams, and West Wayne. This looks so ridiculous bad and cheesy and awful, but that’s all part of the charm. Why not have some fun?

Here’s the official trailer (+ poster) for Ryan Ebert’s B-movie Predator: Wastelands, from YouTube:

Now with their local support, the alien sets its sights on the warlords’ ruthless leader. The Asylum’s new movie Predator: Wastelands is written and directed by B-movie filmmaker Ryan Ebert (no relation to Roger), director of this year’s other B-movie The Jolly Monkey, and also development coordinator on many other The Asylum movies over the years. Produced by David Michael Latt. Made by The Asylum & Atomic Blonde Entertainment. The Asylum debuts Ebert’s Predator: Wastelands mockbuster movie direct-to-VOD starting on November 4th, 2025 this fall. Does anyone actually want to watch this?

“The blood-soaked musical of your dreams!” Dark Star Pictures has revealed the bonkers official US trailer for a wicked crazy, one-of-a-kind, indie horror creation called Chainsaw Were Singing from Estonian filmmaker Sander Maran (who did all the VFX & SFX in addition to directing). Yes, indeed, this is a horror musical riff on Texas Chain Saw Massacre and other slashers. “Nearly 10 years in the making, this bastard child of Stephen Sondheim and Lloyd Kaufman is an utterly indescribable Estonian odyssey.” It premiered at many genre film festivals in 2024, including at Fantasia & Fantastic Fest, and it will be out on VOD in the US this November. A zany, gonzo, blood-soaked musical about lovers split up by a chainsaw-wielding killer. Over a decade in the making, this colorful murder-fest is part gory horror movie + part ridiculous musical. Along the way, they encounter some trigger-happy, pastry-loving cops, a helpful little hedgehog, a shitload of exploding cars + a cult that worships a talking fridge full of nauseating contents. Starring Karl-Joosep Ilves, Laura Niils, Janno Puusepp, Martin Ruus, Rita Rätsepp. It’s described as “Texas Chainsaw Massacre meets Monty Python in [an] award-winning wacky Cannibal Musical.” Looks like a blast! Ahaha.

Here’s the official US trailer for Sander Maran’s horror film Chainsaws Were Singing, from YouTube:

Via Fantastic Fest: “Maria is having one of the worst days of her life. Her parents died. Her dog, too. She was fired from her job. She was beaten by thugs in the street. But all of her troubles melt away when she locks eyes with Tom in the midst of his suicide attempt. Soon, the gobsmacked young lovers are hand-in-hand, bounding across sun-dappled meadows & expressing their undying love in song. Their courtship is cut short when a spree killer with a chainsaw and his own musical backstory takes Maria captive to feed his grotesque family of cannibals, consisting of his overbearing mother, artistically inclined little brother, and incestuous cousins Pepe and Kevin. Vowing to come to his lady’s rescue, Tom teams up with Jaan, a goodhearted, goofy passerby with nothing but time on his hands and a song in his heart. The two head deep into the woods, embarking on a madcap quest full of blood, guts, and toe-tapping show tunes.” 🎵 🩸

Chainsaws Were Singing, also known as Mootorsaed Laulsid in Estonian, is written & directed by Estonian filmmaker Sander Maran, making his feature directorial debut after many other short films. From a story by Sander Maran & Karl Ilves. Produced by Kaur Maran, Sander Maran, Karl-Joosep Ilves, Jan Andresson & Peeter Maran. This initially premiered at the 2024 Haapsalu Horror & Fantasy Film Festival in Estonia, and also at Fantasia and Fantastic Fest that year. Is Casey Means a Doctor? Inside Surgeon General Nominee’s Background – Hollywood Life

Casey Means has steadily worked her way into Donald Trump‘s orbit while focusing on her pseudoscientific business. After working closely with U.S. Secretary of Health and Human Services Robert F. Kennedy Jr. during his former presidential campaign, Casey established herself as a popular name. Since many — including the president — have called Casey a doctor while addressing her, some are wondering if she is an actual M.D.

Below, learn all about Casey’s medical expertise and educational background.

Who Is Casey Means?

Casey is a wellness influencer, co-author of Good Energy: The Surprising Connection Between Metabolism and Limitless Health and co-founder and chief medical officer at Levels. Due to Trump’s nomination of her to be the surgeon general, Casey could serve in the position while supporting RFK Jr.

Is Casey Means a Real Doctor?

Yes, Casey is a doctor, but she doesn’t practice medicine. She has an inactive license and holds a bachelor’s and a master’s degree from Stanford University. When she turned 30, Casey dropped out of Oregon Health and Science University to pursue her pseudoscientific goals while challenging mainstream healthcare in America.

As her career progressed, Casey opened her own medical practice in Portland, Oregon, but her state license has been inactive since early 2024.

While promoting her 2024 book, Casey pointed out in a lengthy Instagram post that the “the metabolic health crisis is the biggest threat we face” in the U.S. She further alleged that the “biggest lie in healthcare is that type 2 diabetes, cancer, heart disease, dementia, Alzheimer’s, depression, arthritis, infertility and more are totally different diseases requiring separate doctors and pills for life.”

“The chronic diseases which account for 90 percent of health costs and nine out of 10 deaths result from the SAME THING — dysfunction in our body’s fundamental ability to produce energy, which is caused by simple environmental features that have changed in just a century,” Casey added in her caption at the time.

Is Casey Means Married?

Yes, Casey is reportedly married to her husband, Brian Nickerson. She has kept details from her personal life away from the public eye. She went into labor with her first child in October 2025.

Who Is Calley Means?

Calley Means is Casey’s brother, who co-authored their book, Good Energy, and he has remained a prominent presence in his sister’s career. As a former food industry lobbyist, Calley has expressed his support for RFK Jr. and the “Make America Healthy Again” goal.

The Lions' Ali Kavoussi Reveals How to Make It as a Model — From Staying Confident to Finding the Right Agent

The Lions Founder Ali Kavoussi Reveals How to Make It as a Model and Why Confidence Is Key

by jummy84 October 30, 2025
written by jummy84

The world is your runway! And few people know better than Ali Kavoussi, founder of The Lions Management, the agency behind famous faces like Alessandra Ambrosio, Candice Swanepoel, Coco Rocha, Kate Upton, Stella Maxwell, Behati Prinsloo, and Amelia Gray Hamlin.

Now, the managing partner, known for discovering and nurturing rising stars, is telling ET exactly what it takes to land covers, book shows, and break into one of fashion’s most competitive industries.

While your walk and poses might already be strong, Kavoussi believes true success begins before you step in front of the camera.

Getty Images

“We start with personality, story, and style and build everything from there. … Every person we represent has a point of view and we make sure the world sees it. … It’s not just about beauty. It’s presence, authenticity, and curiosity.”

From there, dedication to the craft is everything.

“One of the most surprising things about modeling is how much hard work, discipline, and self-awareness it requires. … It’s about showing up on time, being professional, understanding your brand, and building real relationships.”

And through it all, believing in yourself is key.

“Watching a model that everyone once overlooked walk the biggest runway in the world never gets old,” the businessman notes.

“I always tell the girls to fake it till you make it. Even if you’re nervous, walk in like you belong in the room, because you do,” he adds.

Just as essential: Having the right team behind you.

BFA.com

“It’s all about alignment. … Modeling can be overwhelming. You’re traveling constantly and signing major deals. An agent becomes your anchor. They fight for you and help you make the right long-term choices,” he shares.

This includes finding ways to make supermodels triple threats through his innovative approach with clients, whether it’s at the 2025 Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show in Brooklyn, New York, or in ALO’s Luxe Bag campaign.

“As we grow, my vision is to keep building a powerhouse that blends legacy names with the next generation of icons. … Seeing Amelia evolve into a creative force and Candice launch her brand are full circle moments,” Kavoussi says.

“My job is to protect individuality and make sure it translates from the runway, to a brand deal, to a single Instagram post. … We believe that a model can be an entrepreneur, a storyteller, and a brand,” he continues.

Of course, knowing your angles never hurts either.

“It’s an art form. The more you shoot, the better you get. … Study light and be patient with yourself. It’s a lot of trial and error. And never underestimate the value of a great photographer,” he spills.

“Everything a blockbuster should be!” It’s time to watch them battle (again)! Variance Films & Arka have launched final trailers for Baahubali: The Epic, a remastered + recut version of the two-part Baahubali epic series of movies. Arriving in theaters worldwide THIS weekend. Directed by S.S. Rajamouli, who later went on to make the world-shattering RRR, he also directed these two massive action movies Baahubali: The Beginning (2015) and Baahubali 2: The Conclusion (2017). Now he’s combined both into one big film, bringing together footage from both with technical enhancements and previously unseen scenes added in. When a lost prince is rescued and raised in exile, he grows up unaware of his past. Years later, he returns to uncover the truth about his father’s murder and his mother’s imprisonment, and will rise to reclaim his place as the rightful king. Yes he will! Rajamouli’s Baahubali: The Epic stars Prabhas in dual roles, with Rana Daggubati, Anushka, Tamannaah Bhatia, Ramya Krishnan, Sathyaraj, and Nassar. For the uninitiated, these movies are totally awesome – as epic as anything can ever be. And this is a proper exciting, thrilling, spectacular big screen experience following a riveting story about this prince. Enjoy it in theaters.

Here’s the final official trailers (+ poster) for S.S. Rajamouli’s Baahubali: The Epic, direct from YouTube:

You can also rewatch the other official trailer for S.S. Rajamouli’s Baahubali: The Epic right here for more.

10 years before RRR took the world by storm, master filmmaker S.S. Rajamouli redefined Indian Cinema with his two-part Baahubali saga – from 2015 & 2017. Now, the epic tale of royalty, revenge, kings, and wars has been personally re-edited by the master himself into a single unforgettable cinematic experience, with fully remastered picture and sound (and a few new surprises), so audiences can reunite to experience the euphoria the way it was intended: on the big screen. When a lost prince (Prabhas) is rescued & raised in exile, he grows up unaware of his past. Years later, he returns to uncover the truth about his father’s murder and his mother’s imprisonment, and must rise to reclaim his place as the rightful king. Baahubali: The Epic (aka Bahubali) is directed by acclaimed Indian filmmaker S.S. Rajamouli, his 10th feature film at the time – he later directed RRR in 2022. Produced by Shobu Yarlagadda and Prasad Devineni under Arka Media Works. Made in the Telugu film industry (in both Telugu & Tamil). Baahubali: The Beginning first released in 2015; Baahubali: The Conclusion in 2017. Rajamouli’s Baahubali: The Epic opens in theaters worldwide starting October 31st, 2025 – with special screenings October 29th. Who wants to go watch it?

Where Are They Now? – Hollywood Life

by jummy84 October 30, 2025
written by jummy84

We’ve all heard the saying, “All’s well that ends well,” and that’s arguably the best way to summarize the season 9 finale of Love Is Blind. It all started out the same as any other season, with total strangers meeting, talking and falling in love from the comfort of their own pods. But something changed as soon as they re-entered reality. So, where are all the couples now?

This season made history—and stirred major reactions. The reunion is set to drop at the end of October 2025, with fans eager for closure and answers. So where are all the Love Is Blind couples now? Below, Hollywood Life has compiled all the answers fans are asking about where the couples are today and what happened to their relationships.

When Is the Love Is Blind Season 9 Reunion?

The entire season 9 cast from Love Is Blind will reunite on Wednesday, October 29, 2025, and the episode will air at 9 p.m. ET / 6 p.m. PT.

Who Got Married in Love Is Blind Season 9?

Nobody! Unfortunately, the season ended in heartbreak for all couples because no one actually tied the knot at the altar. This was the first time in the series’ history that no couple said “I do.” So, it looks like the core social experiment didn’t prove its main message: that love should conquer all.

Where Are All the Love Is Blind Season 9 Couples Now?

Since none of them got married, all the couples from Love Is Blind — Kalybriah and Edmond, Ali and Anton, Nick and Annie, Madison and Joe, and Jordan and Megan — went home following the season finale but will reconvene for the reunion episode on October 29.

Megan Walerius and Jordan Keltner started on a high note in the pods until reality hit them in the face. As a single father with long-hour work days, Jordan’s lifestyle seemed to clash with Megan’s more laid-back schedule. Megan initiated their breakup, citing the reason as being on different paths for their futures.

Meanwhile, Kalybriah Haskin and Edmond Harvey actually made it to the altar, but not past it. Edmond said, “I do,” but Kalybriah backed out, telling Edmond that he deserves a person who is unequivocally ready to marry him. She insisted that her decision didn’t mean she didn’t love him, but he was clearly hurt by the conclusion. So, it’s safe to assume that fans will learn where Kalybriah and Edmond stand once the reunion episode airs.

In a similar altar situation, Ali Lima ended up walking away from the altar without Anton Yarosh. Though Anton said, “I do,” Ali said she “can’t be [his] wife” because the man she fell in love with in the pods wasn’t the same person in real life. She had reservations about his partying and his lifestyle.
