Lights, camera, action! Chanel and Tribeca are marking the 10th anniversary of Through Her Lens: The Tribeca Chanel Women’s Filmmaker program with serious star power thanks to celebs like Meghann Fahy and Issa Rae.

The three-day event, which kicks off in New York City on Tuesday, Sept. 16, and runs through Thursday, Sept. 18, will give U.S.-based women and non-binary filmmakers a chance to experience creative support, funding, and career-launching opportunities.

Participants will refine their ideas with script development, music composition, and costume design insights from Sarah Paulson, Kerry Washington, and Jane Fonda, in between enjoying candid conversations with Lucy Liu, Olivia Wilde, Tessa Thompson, and more industry leaders.

The workshop ends with a live pitch session, where finalists will present their projects to a jury that includes Fahy and Rae, plus Jenny Slate, Allison Janney, and Kaitlyn Dever. One team is then granted full financing to make their short film with support from Tribeca Studios, while the four additional teams will walk away with development grants.

“Through Her Lens isn’t just a program — it’s a community Tribeca and CHANEL have built with purpose,” Jane Rosenthal, Co-Founder and CEO of Tribeca Enterprises, said in a press release.

“Throughout these ten years, we’ve created a space where women filmmakers champion each other’s work, alumni open doors for one another, and belonging to this network truly means something in our industry. In partnership with CHANEL, we’ve been steadfast in our commitment to amplify voices that have always been here but too often go unheard,” she added.

“Through Her Lens is about consistency, perseverance, and meaningful change — the kind that shifts the very fabric of our culture at a moment when it’s needed most,” Rosenthal said.

“Are you ready?” Yes I am! Let’s go back for more. Sony Pictures has finally revealed the first official trailer for the highly anticipated follow-up sequel 28 Years Later: The Bone Temple, which was shot back-to-back with Alex Garland’s 28 Years Later from earlier this year. This sequel is directed by Nia DaCosta, also from a screenplay written by Alex Garland again, and it lands in theaters in January 2026 in just a few months from now. Awesome. In a continuation of the epic zombie-filled story, Fiennes’ character Dr. Kelson finds himself in a shocking new relationship – with consequences that could change the world as they know it. And Spike’s encounter with Jimmy Crystal (seen at the end of 28YL) becomes a nightmare he now can’t escape. In the world of The Bone Temple, the infected are no longer the greatest threat to survival – the inhumanity of the survivors can be stranger and more terrifying. Indeed it can be – AND IS. This next movie also stars Ralph Fiennes, Alfie Williams, Jack O’Connell, Erin Kellyman, and Chi Lewis-Parry. Another fantastic trailer for this horror sequel with another chilling voiceover! Damn it looks good.

“Feat is the new faith!” Expanding upon the world created by Danny Boyle and Alex Garland in 28 Years Later but turning that world on its head – Nia DaCosta directs The Bone Temple. In a continuation of the epic story, Dr. Kelson (Ralph Fiennes) finds himself in a shocking new relationship – with consequences that could change the world as they know it – and Spike’s (Alfie Williams) encounter with Jimmy Crystal (Jack O’Connell) becomes a nightmare he can’t escape. In the world of The Bone Temple, the infected are no longer the greatest threat to survival – the inhumanity of the survivors can be stranger and much more terrifying. 28 Years Later: The Bone Temple is directed by acclaimed American filmmaker Nia DaCosta, also director of the films Little Woods, Candyman, The Marvels, and this year’s Hedda, plus episodes of the “Top Boy” series. The screenplay is again written by Alex Garland. Produced by Andrew Macdonald, Peter Rice, Bernard Bellew, Danny Boyle, Alex Garland. Sony Pictures debuts DaCosta’s 28 Years Later: The Bone Temple in theaters worldwide starting January 16th, 2026 early next year. Your thoughts? Who’s down?

Simple Kaul Files Divorce From Rahul Loomba

Speaking to Bombay Times, the actress explained that the decision was mutual and taken with maturity. She said, “It’s very recent. It is mutual and we are very mature humans. We’re more than family. It just doesn’t go in my head that it is done because so many years of my life I’ve known this person.”

Simple further expressed that she finds it difficult to detach emotionally. “I don’t know how people detach. It doesn’t happen in my mind. I live with love, and I walk through my life with a lot of love, a lot of happiness, and a lot of spiritual awareness. This is how I live,” she shared.

The couple tied the knot in 2010. Simple did not disclose the reason behind their separation but maintained that there is mutual respect between them.

In an earlier interview, she had spoken about her marriage, calling it a “long-distance” one. She had mentioned, “He spends a lot of time abroad. I miss him at times, but we have a great understanding, and our bond is very strong. At the end of the day, it is all about compatibility and balancing your life. While he is away, I am also able to focus on my career, so it is a happy work-life balance for both of us.”

On the professional front, Simple was last seen in Ziddi Dil Maane Na in 2022.

28 Years Later: The Bone Temple Trailer: Ralph Fiennes Returns

by jummy84 September 3, 2025
written by jummy84

Sony Pictures has released the first trailer for Nia DaCosta’s “28 Years Later: The Bone Temple.”

The film will follow the events of “28 Years Later,” picking up after Spike (Alfie Williams) is introduced to Sir Jimmy Crystal (Jack O’Connell) and his gang of acrobatic killers in a post-apocalyptic England. “Dr. Kelson (Ralph Fiennes) finds himself in a shocking new relationship — with consequences that could change the world as they know it — and Spike’s encounter with Jimmy Crystal becomes a nightmare he can’t escape,” the film’s official synopsis reads. “In the world of ‘The Bone Temple,’ the infected are no longer the greatest threat to survival — the inhumanity of the survivors can be stranger and more terrifying.”

Cillian Murphy will briefly appear in the film, reprising his role as Jim from “28 Days Later,” alongside stars Fiennes, Emma Laird, Maura Bird, Erin Kellyman and Chi Lewis-Parry.

While Murphy will only have a small role in the second film, executive producer and “28 Years Later” director Danny Boyle revealed to Variety that Murphy will be an “enormous character in the third film.” Boyle also confirmed that O’Connell and Fiennes will play larger parts in “28 Years Later: The Bone Temple,” setting up more of the mainland plot that was briefly touched on in the first film.

“28 Years Later: The Bone Temple” was written and produced by Alex Garland. The sequel is executive produced by Boyle, Andrew Macdonald, Peter Rice and Bernie Bellew. Columbia Pictures, DNA Films and Decibel Films produced the film, with Sony Pictures distributing the feature.

“28 Years Later: The Bone Temple” is set to release in theaters on Jan. 16, 2026. Check out the trailer below.

Camila Cabello Reacts to Fifth Harmony’s Reunion After Seven Years

by jummy84 September 2, 2025
written by jummy84

Camila Cabello is showing love to Fifth Harmony following her former group’s surprise reunion.

On Sunday (Aug. 31), the girl group — now comprising Ally Brooke, Normani, Lauren Jauregui and Dinah Jane — surprised fans by reuniting onstage for the first time in seven years during the Jonas Brothers’ concert at Dallas’ Dos Equis Pavilion. After the performance, Fifth Harmony shared a clip on Instagram of themselves performing their 2015 hit “Worth It,” which peaked at No. 12 on the Billboard Hot 100.

Cabello, who exited the group in late 2016 to launch her solo career, showed her support in the comments by posting four red heart emojis in a subtle but heartfelt nod to her former bandmates.

The reunion wasn’t entirely out of the blue. In the hours leading up to the performance, 5H sparked speculation by sharing their first social media post since 2018. “#FifthHarmonyFollowSpree,” the group wrote on X prompting Harmonizers to theorize that something big was coming.

Reunion rumors have been circulating for months. In March, both Brooke and Jane hinted at the possibility during an interview at the 2024 Billboard Women in Music event.

“We’ll see… we’re not sure,” Brooke said when asked about reuniting. Jane added, “I love that our fans can reminisce on such good times and I love that we’re getting the credit again. Our music was very impactful at the time and I feel like it was kind of overlooked, to be honest. So now that it’s reviving again on its own it just shows our music speaks for itself.”

Fifth Harmony came together in 2012 on season two of the U.S. edition of The X Factor. The group rose to fame with their debut album, Reflection, in 2015, which included “Worth It,” their first top 20 hit on the Billboard Hot 100 chart. Their success continued with “Work From Home” featuring Ty Dolla $ign, which peaked at No. 4 on the chart in June 2016.

In December 2016, the group announced Cabello’s departure through social media. “After 4 and a half years of being together, we have been informed via her representatives that Camila has decided to leave Fifth Harmony,” the group’s remaining members wrote. “We wish her well.”

Cabello went on to launch a successful solo career, most recently releasing 2024’s C,XOXO, which debuted at No. 13 on the Billboard 200. Over the years, she’s also topped the Hot 100 with “Havana” featuring Young Thug and “Señorita” with ex-boyfriend Shawn Mendes.

Fifth Harmony officially disbanded in 2018, with each member pursuing various solo projects.

Fifth Harmony Reunites After 7 Years at Jonas Brothers Concert

Fifth Harmony Reunites After 7 Years at Jonas Brothers Concert

by jummy84 September 1, 2025
written by jummy84

Fifth Harmony are back! On Sunday night, the iconic girl group reunited after seven years to join the Jonas Brothers onstage during their concert in Dallas.

Normani, Ally Brooke, Dinah Jane, and Lauren Jauregui — in matching black outfits — emerged from behind smoke to the tune of “Worth It,” for a choreography-filled comeback. The girls then transitioned into “Work From Home,” as the crowd watched in surprise.

Nick, Kevin, and Joe Jonas then took the stage to hug each of the group’s members. Fifth Harmony also debuted a new logo.

The four-piece reunion comes after two years of speculation that the group was considering getting back together, especially after their songs “Work From Home” and “All in My Head” saw huge resurgences on TikTok. (Rolling Stone shut down reunion rumors last year, but there has since been new speculation.)

Camila Cabello, who left the group in 2016, was missing from Sunday night’s performance. She wouldn’t have been able to attend regardless, as she had a solo show in Sydney, Australia, on Saturday evening.

Earlier in the day, the Fifth Harmony X account reactivated by posting “#FifthHarmonyFollowSpree.” Jane also shared an Instagram post alluding to the return, “The impossible is possible. Full of gratitude today.” The group’s website was also updated to say “coming soon.”

Most recently, Brooke, Jane, and Jauregui shared photos of themselves on a tropical vacation to celebrate Brooke’s 32nd birthday. (Jauregui later shared that Normani was busy with work and had to miss the trip.)

While Sunday night’s show is the first time all the members reunited since their indefinite hiatus in 2018, Brooke joined Jane onstage at her November 2024 show in Los Angeles to sing Fifth Harmony’s “Better Together.” The pair also recorded a Christmas duet.

Editor’s picks

“We hadn’t seen each other in five years, and it was like we didn’t ever leave,” Brooke told Rolling Stone in December 2023 when discussing their holiday collab.

“Music is very healing,” Jane added at the time. “Collaborating again and starting from scratch would be a very big healer as well. This planted the seed for us, I would say.”

The members of Fifth Harmony have been friendly with each other over the last few years. All of the group’s members (including Cabello) shared tributes for the 10th anniversary of the group’s formation in 2022, and came together to congratulate Normani for dropping her debut album last summer. Most recently, Cabello shared videos of herself dancing to Fifth Harmony’s “Work From Home” with girl group Katseye, and said in December 2024 that she and Normani were “getting back” to feeling like when they were “really close.”

Fifth Harmony originally formed in 2012 on The X-Factor USA. The girl group dropped their debut album Reflection in 2015 (featuring songs like “Worth It” and “Sledgehammer”), and released their second LP, 7/27, following the massive success of “Work From Home,” in 2016. At the end of that same year, Cabello left the group.

As a four-piece, Fifth Harmony went on to release one more album, titled Fifth Harmony. They then announced an indefinite hiatus in 2018, and gave fans. a post-split video for their song “Don’t Say You Love Me,” which ended with each member exiting a door left open, alluding to the possibility of a return.

For their part, the Jonas Brothers kicked off their Jonas20: Greetings from Your Hometown Tour on Aug. 10 in New Jersey, and have brought out special guests at each show. During their Aug. 10 concert in New Jersey, the band brought out Demi Lovato for a Camp Rock reunion and Jesse McCartney for “Beautiful Soul.” Since then, they’ve welcomed All Time Low, JoJo, Hanson, and Russell Dickerson as guests at various shows.

Trending Stories

Sunday night’s performance, which featured the 5H reunion, is one of five Jonas20 concerts that will stream live on Samsung TV Plus. The band’s concerts on Oct. 12 in Milwaukee, Oct. 26 in Orlando, and Nov. 9 in Buffalo, will also stream live on the platform.

“Stan Lee made fun of my writing!” — Spider-Man PS1 celebrates 25 years

by jummy84 August 30, 2025
written by jummy84

To celebrate the anniversary of such an iconic superhero game, Radio Times Gaming jumped on a call with its lead designer, Chad Findley.

You can see the full conversation in video form above, or on our YouTube channel, or keep on reading for some choice quotes from the interview.

Back in the year 2000, did Findley think that he’d still be talking about his Spider-Man game two and a half decades later?

“Not at all,” he tells us. “So back then, I was so early in my career, I was really happy just to be working on a game like this. I know I’ve been lucky with a lot of the games I got to work on over the years, but I knew at the time, this was a once in a lifetime opportunity, you know?

“Bringing Spidey to 3D, like, who gets to do that? 3D games were, in general, kind of new. And, you know, even characters walking around was generally pretty janky. And I think Superman 64 was around the same time.

“So, you know, superhero games were getting started. So, I just wanted to make sure we did the source material justice and made a good game.

“And so, I was happy that we ended up serving both really well, I think, for the most part, and setting a good baseline for Spidey games and superhero games in general. But I was not expecting it still to be beloved. But I love that. It makes me really happy.”

There are so many iconic aspects to the game — from the ‘Kid Mode’ option on the start menu all the way through to the hybrid Doctor Octopus/Carnage that you face in the unforgettable final level.

We get into all of that and a whole lot more, including Findley’s work on Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater around the same time, in the video version of this interview (which will also be available on our podcast feed next week).

So, how did that opening Stan Lee narration come about? “I was a huge Spidey nerd,” Findley recalls.

“So Stan used to write these yellow box intros to the issues he would do. And it would be, like, a little ‘wet the palette’, sneak peek into what’s about to happen in that issue, or what might have happened a little bit in the past.

Findley added: “But it was something to get the reader excited about the issue they’re about to read.

“And I wanted that for the game, because you know, I wanted the people to really get the feeling of it. And so Activision went after it, and said, ‘Hey, do you want to do this?’ He said yes.

“And man, that dude was fantastic. Like, he was a super fun guy. He knew what we were going for. He made fun of my writing because I stole from him so much in my style. But like, every part of working with that dude was awesome.”

It wasn’t a long collaboration. Findley recalls, “It was only a day or two, but it was cherished. Like, I remember those days super fondly. It’s one of my best development days.”

Findley and Spidey were a great combo. Activision / Marvel

And what does it mean to the developers that people still look back on this game so fondly?

“It makes me happy that people loved what we took from the original books and put out there, and that we did a good enough job with the controls,” he told us.

“There’s definitely issues with it still. But like, that was step one going into a completely new area. We’re going blind into this.

“And so, I think we did a good job with getting that first step for superhero games, and Spidey in particular, to be accessible to people and enjoy it.

“And I just love that people reacted to it so well. And it makes me very happy.”

To hear more about the development of Spider-Man PS1, and Findley’s take on the more recent Spidey games out of Insomniac, check out the full interview over on our YouTube channel.

Rihanna Sends Message to Fans for 20 Years of ‘Music of the Sun’

by jummy84 August 29, 2025
written by jummy84

Twenty years ago, Rihanna released her debut album, Music of the Sun, on Aug. 29, 2005. No one could have predicted on that late summer day just how close to the sun the then-17-year-old from Barbados would end up flying.

Two decades later, the woman born Robyn Fenty has added a lot of hyphens to her job title beyond pop star, venturing into acting (Battleship, Smurfs), business (Fenty Beauty, Savage x Fenty) and motherhood (RZA and Riot Rose with A$AP Rocky), just to name a few side hustles. On Friday (Aug. 29), Rihanna couldn’t let the day go by without celebrating all that she’s accomplished in her illustrious career.

On her social accounts, RiRi shared a video that looked back at all her awards, Billboard chart-topping hits, business accomplishments and philanthropy over the years, alongside a heartfelt message of gratitude to all those who’ve helped her live her wildest dreams.

“20 years ago, i left my country, my culture, my food, and family to embark on a journey that started with the release of my very first body of music!” Rihanna wrote across her Instagram and X accounts alongside the video. “So many of you were a part of my life and career since the very beginning, and some of you have joined the adventure along the way. I’m forever grateful to all of you. Each of you played a very crucial role in where this journey has taken me thus far! I just wanted to take this moment to say thank you!

“Thank you for the greatest first 20 years ever!” she continued. “20 years of the most loyal, die-hard fans that don’t play about me whatsoever, 20 years of hard work and hardworking teams around me, 20 years of lessons, 20 years of unforgettable experiences and accomplishments, 20 years of my family being my number one support system, and to all the people who said yes to me and gave me a chance before it was ‘cool’ to (Execs, DJ’s, writers, producers, dancers, choreographers, directors, fashion designers, photographers, glam, journalists, brands, mentors, etc etc) 20 years worth of thanks to you!! I thank God, He’s been very generous to me and the Glory belongs to Him!”

She ended the message with the hashtag #R20, just as her loyal Navy fanbase has been doing in their celebration posts all day.

Music of the Sun started it all for Rihanna, beginning with lead single and breakthrough hit “Pon De Replay,” which peaked at No. 2 on the Billboard Hot 100 in July 2005 ahead of the album’s release the next month. So far, Rihanna has racked up 32 top 10 Hot 100 hits — with 14 of those going to No. 1. Music of the Sun debuted at No. 10 on the Billboard 200 and stayed on the chart for 35 weeks.

Below, find Rihanna’s full message to celebrate 20 years in the music industry:

The ‘Missionary Impossible’ tour will continue tonight in Tampa, Florida. It will then make stops in cities including Atlanta, Charleston, and Kansas City. You can find any remaining tickets here.

This tour follows their 2024 world tour and their 2023 album ‘One More Time…’, their first album in over a decade with the original trio of Mark Hoppus, Tom DeLonge and Travis Barker after DeLonge left in 2015.

Back in May, the band’s Mark Hoppus spoke to NME about his band’s past rivalry with Green Day, dating back to their shared 2002 ‘Pop Disaster Tour’.

Speaking to NME about the strange competitiveness that the two bands felt towards each other during the tour, Hoppus said: “That was very strange because I grew up listening to Green Day. I literally waited for the day that ‘Dookie’ [1994] came out, and I was in line waiting to buy it.”

“I was a huge fan, then we’re touring with them, but it was a weird thing where Green Day were dipping at the time and Blink were ascendent. We were billed as co-headliners, but Blink were closing every night, and that was a strange sensation for us. Headlining over your idols is a little strange.”

He later added: “We showed up, we thought we were cool, we had a Number One record [‘Take Off Your Pants And Jacket’], we were the first punk band to ever have a Number One record, Green Day were on their way down for a little bit.

“We walked in thinking we were hot shit and Green Day walked in ready to fight – musically of course, they were super cool to us the whole time.”

In the same interview, Hoppus also opened up about his role in “saving the world from Saddam Hussein” and the chance he once had to “make out” with The Cure’s Robert Smith.

Last month, Blink-182’s Travis Barker came together with Tool drummer Danny Carey and Red Hot Chili Peppers’ Chad Smith for a drum-off at Black Sabbath’s final ever show.

It took place midway through the night, and saw the drummers from Tool, Blink-182 and Red Hot Chili Peppers flex their skills while covering the Sabbath track ‘Symptom Of The Universe’.
