Ms. Rachel Has Poignant Message at Glamour’s Women of the Year Awards: ‘Hateful Responses Aren’t What Matters’

We’re always paying attention to what Rachel Accurso, better known to the world as Ms. Rachel, has to say—and not just because she’s mostly speaking in a delightfully high-pitched singsong voice.

The children’s entertainer and entrepreneur, who was honored tonight as one of Glamour’s Women of the Year, addressed the (adult) crowd at this year’s WOTY ceremony, held at The Plaza hotel in New York City.

In her speech, Ms. Rachel reflected on the theme of sisterhood, thanking her mother, who raised her and her sister as a single mom, as well as her actual sister, Rebecca.

“We started a band called the Sisteristics, so I think that’s really in the spirt of sisterhood,” she said, adding, “It was really weird,” to laughter in the room. “She always reminded me that the hateful responses aren’t what matters; what matters are the people who are suffering. And those of us who see things clearly and morally need to support their voices and their calls for justice.”

Ms. Rachel continued with a message of perseverance: “No matter how hard some people try to convince us that empathy is wrong, it’s right,” she said. “No matter how hard people try to convince us that diversity is a weakness, it’s a strength. No matter how hard people try to convince us that love is limited, it’s limitless.”

Speaking earlier to Glamour’s global editorial director, Samantha Barry, Ms. Rachel opened up about her decision to advocate for children all over the world, specifically in areas of crisis such as Gaza and Sudan.

“My love and care for children doesn’t stop at my own children,” she explained. “It doesn’t stop at the children in our country. It embraces every child of the world. I don’t think that our love should end at religion or skin color or where people are born.”

Ms. Rachel arrived to the Women of the Year Awards ceremony alongside her husband, Aron Accurso, whom fans often refer to as Mr. Aron. Though the couple make an adorable pair, all eyes were on Ms. Rachel and her stunning evening gown. Her upcycled dress features embroidery on the capelet and train, the designs drawn from drawings that were sent to her by Gazan children.

bitchy | Jobson: QEII ‘covered security costs’ for Prince Harry & Archie for one year

by jummy84 November 5, 2025
written by jummy84

Another royalist has written another half-fictional book about the Windsor clan. This time it’s Robert Jobson, and his latest book is The Windsor Legacy. A legacy of abuse, neglect, dishonor, disrespect and trailer-trash antics, if you ask me. The Mail has already started publishing excerpts from the book, and I just thought we should get into it. Going strictly by the first excerpts, Jobson has set it up the bulk of all of the stories are about how the Sussexes are damned if they do, damned if they don’t, and they absolutely never, ever get it right, obviously. Jobson gets most of his leaks, briefings and exclusives from King Charles’s camp – he’s a Charles/Camilla loyalist, if anything. So just understand that this is Charles’s narrative on certain subjects:

Prince Harry called QEII in late 2020: She may have suspected what he wanted to discuss. Before Harry had left Britain in 2020, the Queen and Prince Charles had arranged to cover security costs for him and his son Archie for a whole year. In addition, Harry’s father had offered to assist with household bills and living expenses while the Sussexes settled into their new lives – first in Canada and then in California. But was that enough? Harry seemed to be finding the shift from being a working royal rather harder than he’d expected. Sure enough, he called his grandmother back the following day – though this time not during the sacred hour. And this time she took his call. After hanging up, she sighed and said in front of her staff: ‘More money.’

QEII hated how much money Meghan spent on clothes: One matter that did anger her, though, was Meghan’s taste for expensive designer clothes. She’d looked stunning when, nine months after the royal wedding, she appeared in a custom-made Christian Dior gown during a reception in February 2019 at the British ambassador’s residence in Rabat, Morocco. However, the cost of her wardrobe for the Sussexes’ official tour of Morocco was causing comment back home. Certainly, the estimated £60,000 price tag for the Dior dress drew the Queen’s ire when she read about it in the press. She later let Meghan know that such an expensive outfit was an ill-judged choice.

QEII thought the Sussexit was awful! Privately, Queen Elizabeth described Harry’s behaviour as ‘quite mad’. She made it clear to those close to her that she felt let down by the Sussexes’ departure, which she saw as short-sighted and a missed opportunity. The Queen had warmly welcomed Meghan, viewing her dual heritage, beauty and communication skills as assets to the family. When everything fell apart, she publicly wished the couple well. As time went on, however, she tired of all their dramatics, and ordered that Harry’s phone calls be redirected to his father.

Harry telling Oprah that his father & brother are trapped: William felt totally betrayed. He insisted to friends there was no way he felt trapped, and licensed them to talk to the media. He also famously declared: ‘We are very much not a racist family.’ The two brothers spoke on the phone – and days later, CBS TV host Gayle King revealed that their conversation was ‘not productive’. The leak felt like yet another betrayal.

QEII sent for Philip’s companion: Just over a week after the Oprah interview, Prince Philip was released from hospital. He was lethargic, sluggish and didn’t want to leave his room, which worried the Queen. She sent for his close companion Penny, the Countess Mountbatten, hoping her presence would help him regain his zest for life – and he briefly rallied.

The Sussexes naming their daughter after QEII: A Palace source has a different version of events, which is that the Queen first learned of Lilibet’s name from the morning press, and was so incensed at the affront that she threw the paper to the floor, startling her staff. Later, during one of the Sussexes’ final UK visits before her death, they skipped a planned tea – that daily ritual so precious to the Queen. What’s more, they skipped it without giving her notice. She had requested a special cake. By 5.15 p.m., with no word, she told staff to clear everything away.

QEII’s thoughts on William: Although she loved William and saw much to admire, she told insiders that she feared he might become a ‘celebrity monarch’ rather than a dedicated one. His rigidity, according to a royal source, occasionally frustrated her. A case in point was when the Queen asked him to stand in for her at the official opening of Thames Hospice’s new 29-bed facility by Bray Lake, Berkshire, near Windsor. She had a particular connection with it through a retiring staff member who had looked after the budgerigars at the Royal Aviary, and she didn’t want to let anyone down. But on the day of the ceremony, July 15, 2022, she was feeling particularly frail. William’s schedule might well have accommodated this last-minute duty, but he cried off, citing fatherly duties. This left his grandmother not only disappointed but irritated. She is said to have scoffed: ‘Isn’t that what nannies and policemen are for?’

Charles’s call to Harry last year: The King, who’d broken the news of his cancer to Harry in a phone call, had started treatment straight away. He was undergoing chemotherapy and felt a strong need for peace and quiet. The last thing he needed was any drama – yet, without an invitation, Harry took it upon himself to fly over to see his father. The King had planned to spend the weekend at Sandringham in Norfolk, so he was irritated at being forced to wait in London until his son arrived. Their meeting was brief, around 30 minutes. Wary of letting Harry prolong it, Charles had pre-arranged for the meeting to be interrupted with a warning that it was time for a medical procedure. His son left soon afterwards. In fact, there was no procedure scheduled, and never had been. Instead, the King flew straight to Sandringham on a helicopter that had been standing by for his delayed journey.

[From The Daily Mail]

“The Queen and Prince Charles had arranged to cover security costs for him and his son Archie for a whole year…” Carefully worded AND false. While the original deal was for protection for the Sussexes (Meghan included) for a year, that was withdrawn in March 2020. When Harry called his father and grandmother in 2020, he was trying to get answers about his security, not money. But it’s interesting that even in this horrific, false, pro-Windsor account, they’re making sure that no one would believe that they ever agreed to protect the only woman of color to marry into the family.

What else? More horses-t about Lili’s name and QEII throwing a tantrum, which I still don’t believe. I think the courtiers and Charles and William were the ones throwing tantrums, and QEII was pretty much fine with the name. The part about Charles being pissed at Harry for wanting to see him after a cancer diagnosis is shocking, but not for the reasons Jobson believes. The thing about William refusing to step in for his dying grandmother is wild though – his commitment to being lazy as hell extended that far, where he turned down his frail, dying grandmother when she asked him to work a few hours. Bonkers. These people are horrible.

Leave it to Shah Rukh Khan to make even a birthday wish go viral. The superstar, who celebrated his 60th birthday on November 2, 2025, had fans in splits after his witty exchange with cricketer Rinku Singh. The moment came when Rinku took to social media to post a heartfelt message for the actor, writing, “The best ever! Happy birthday @iamsrk sir.”

Known for his charm and quick wit, SRK replied with a playful twist: “Thank u Rinku. Lots of love… and shaadi kab hai?” The timing of the comment couldn’t have been better — Rinku had recently postponed his wedding, making Khan’s cheeky response even more hilarious for fans. The exchange quickly went viral, with social media flooded with laughing emojis and heart reactions. Fans praised the actor for his humor and the warm rapport he shares with cricketers, especially those from his IPL team, Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR), where Rinku has been a standout performer.

Rinku Singh got engaged to Priya Saroj, a Samajwadi Party MP, in June 2025 during a private ceremony at The Centrum Hotel in Lucknow. The couple had initially planned to marry in November 2025 but postponed their wedding to next year due to Rinku’s busy cricket schedule. The young cricketer, who represents Uttar Pradesh in domestic cricket, made his Team India debut in 2023 and continues to impress fans with his performances for KKR.

Meanwhile, Shah Rukh Khan’s 60th birthday saw an outpouring of love from fans, colleagues, and friends across the world. Former KKR captain and India’s head coach Gautam Gambhir also sent a heartfelt message, to which Khan warmly replied, “Thank u my captain!! Nicest thing is I can make you smile… ha ha. Congrats on all the success.”

On the work front, SRK will next be seen in King, co-starring his daughter Suhana Khan.

written by jummy84

What makes the perfect red-carpet look? At Glamour’s annual Women of the Year Awards, the answer is, well, glamour itself: that impossible-to-define balance of elegance and wit that elevates an outfit into an ensemble. Attendees often don’t simply dress to dazzle; many looks have messages literally woven in, like Mariska Hargitay’s “B” necklace in 2023 and Busy Philipps’s “Abortion Is on the Ballot” clutch the year before. And 2025’s red carpet is especially meaningful, with attendees like Ms. Rachel sending strong messages.

So while we’ve gathered to celebrate luminaries like outspoken actors, world-class athletes, boundary-smashing musicians, and entertainers who refuse to stay silent about their beliefs, there’s also plenty of room to obsess over every sartorial detail. Follow along as we update this story with all the biggest fashion moments from the 2025 Glamour Women of the Year Awards.

bitchy | Jobson: Prince William asked to ‘cut back’ on work last year, Charles said ‘think again’

by jummy84 November 4, 2025
written by jummy84

A consistent undercurrent of royal gossip in recent years is that King Charles thinks that Prince William is lazy, but not only that – William is undignified as well. Charles doesn’t care for William’s half-assed attempts to be relatable or talk about his feelings. Charles thinks it’s unbecoming for the heir to the throne to cosplay a football hooligan or a bloke down at the pub. And I can only imagine Charles’s reaction to these undignified photos of William playing beach volleyball in Rio de Janeiro. These are not the ideal images for a future (Scooter) king. Of course, that scooter wasn’t an ideal image either, but I digress. Royal biographer Robert Jobson has a new book called The Windsor Legacy. Jobson has been “aligned” more with Charles and Camilla’s side of things for many years, and so you should take many of the excerpts from this book as Charles and Camilla narrating certain things. Notably, “sources” told Jobson that William was desperate to cut back his schedule in 2024:

How Charles has changed after his cancer diagnosis: He’s changed some of the habits that once seemed set in stone – largely due to advice from Dr Michael Dixon, a seasoned NHS GP and advocate of complementary medicine who was appointed head of the Royal Medical Household after Queen Elizabeth’s death. William, too, has urged his father to slow down and listen to his medical team. So Charles now takes regular afternoon naps. And he’s started having lunch again – often spinach soup – after skipping the meal for most of his life.

Charles was in a lot of pain before his diagnosis: Before being diagnosed with cancer, he’d been typically stoical about his mounting levels of pain. Months before, his condition had worsened so dramatically, says a senior royal aide, that a doctor was summoned. The King was given morphine (one of the strongest painkillers available), fitted with a catheter and taken to Aberdeen Hospital. The cancer, however, was not discovered until a few months later, in January last year, while doctors were in the process of treating the King for an enlarged prostate. A few weeks down the line, it was announced that the Princess of Wales was also suffering from an unnamed cancer. Having two leading members of the Royal Family struck down at once seemed a malign twist of fate – and Prince William was shaken to the core.

William goes to church more, despite all evidence to the contrary: As the year progressed, both he and Catherine became more religious. Never known as a regular worshipper, William now attends church more frequently than in the past, though as privately as possible.

William asked to do fewer events: Last year, he also told his father that he wanted to cut his own official royal engagements back to ten for the rest of 2024. But the King refused his request. ‘Think again,’ he urged.

Kate’s “cancer-free” video last summer: In September 2024, in a polished video directed by Will Warr, Catherine revealed that she had completed chemotherapy and hoped to remain cancer-free. The footage showed the Wales family affectionately enjoying time together in Norfolk, on the beach and in the woods, and many found it moving. Queen Camilla’s reaction? She was deeply relieved, of course, at Catherine’s recovery. But according to a senior Household source, she also joked with friends – very much tongue-in-cheek – that the video was ‘like a shampoo commercial’.

Underlying tension: These days, William and his father generally work well together. The King happily consults him, and largely trusts him to do what is right. But there is often an underlying tension between them. It doesn’t help that both have a fiery temper that’s not always held in check. Working for Charles, some staff say, can be like ‘treading on eggshells’. As for William, Palace sources recall all too well an incident when the prince was over-assertive with his father – over a matter that William had completely misinterpreted. Even senior aides are known to tread lightly around the prince, mindful of his mood swings before attempting to raise sensitive issues. William may always appear to be composed in public, but insiders describe him as occasionally ‘difficult to handle’.

[From The Daily Mail]

I love sitting back and watching Charles get the heir he deserves. Charles’s failings as a father writ large have set the stage for all of this – William’s laziness and rage, Harry’s exile, and an institution which is mostly limping along, collapsing in on itself in slow motion. Not to blame everything on Charles though – William is horrible and that’s on him. He’s a man in his 40s who recently had some kind of breakdown because… his brother visited England and did some charity work. Anyway, it’s just funny to watch these two men try to out-petty one another.

Imran Khan’s Bollywood Comeback Adhure Hum Adhure Tum With Bhumi Pednekar To Release Next Year- Report

by jummy84 November 4, 2025
written by jummy84

Imran Khan’s long-awaited comeback film has been the talk of the town ever since it was confirmed earlier this year. Fans have been eagerly waiting to see him back on screen, and now, there’s finally an update on the project’s progress.

Imran Khan’s Bollywood Comeback Film To Release Next Year?

According to a source quoted by Hindustan Times, “The shoot of the film got wrapped up in August; it is now in post-production. The makers are hoping to lock the edit by December and release early 2026.”

However, the release date is still not final. The source added, “That’s all dependent on Netflix, so one will have to wait for them to commit to a date. Nothing happens until seven layers of corporate executives have signed off.”

Directed by Danish Aslam, who is a longtime friend of Imran, the film is expected to fall in the romantic-comedy zone — a genre Imran has mastered through hits like Jaane Tu… Ya Jaane Na (2008), Break Ke Baad (2010), and Mere Brother Ki Dulhan (2011).

Imran Khan’s Career Journey

Since his last on-screen appearance in the 2015 film Katti Batti, Imran Khan has stayed away from the limelight, sparking frequent social media trends as fans continue to await his return. The actor rose to fame with his charming performances in Bollywood’s beloved 2010s rom-coms like I Hate Luv Storys, Break Ke Baad, and Ek Main Aur Ekk Tu, among others.

Bhumi Pednekar, on the other hand, was last seen in Mere Husband Ki Biwi, co-starring Arjun Kapoor and Rakul Preet Singh. Her OTT series The Royals co-starring Ishaan Khatter was also a hit.

Chile! The kids, from first graders to teens, have been keeping “6 7” in rotation since the summertime! Now, Dictionary.com is giving the viral phrase a longer moment in the spotlight.  The site named the word–that’s not really a word- ‘word of the year.’ So, what does that mean? And what’s the tea, the inside joke, the social media scoop on 6-7? Here’s a lil’ breakdown by AP.

Who Started The Viral Phrase?

According to AP, the phrase seems to trace back to rapper Skrilla’s song from 2024 called ‘Doot Doot (6-7).’ That song started appearing in TikTok videos with basketball players, including LaMelo Ball who stands 6-foot-7. Then a boy, now known as ‘The 6-7 Kid,’ shouted the ubiquitous phrase while another kid next to him juggled his hands in a video that went viral this year. That’s all it took.

Since then, parents and teachers have created their own videos trying to explain the sensation. Some offer tips on how to stop their kids from repeating it all day long. Others suggest embracing it — even making 6 7 Halloween costumes — so it will become uncool.
Teachers have banned it. Influencers and child psychologists have tried to make sense of it. It’s even spilled over into the NFL as a way to celebrate big plays.

Dictionary.Com Is Still Figuring Out 6 7 Too

They don’t know. We don’t know. You don’t know. The answer behind the meaning is that no one knows. The meaning of 6-7 changes, and sometimes it depends on who’s on the receiving end of it. And because it’s a phrase kids say, how to write is still up for debate. Which is correct: the numbers 6 7, with and without a dash or the words six seven?

According to Dictionary.com, the phrase could mean “so-so,” or “maybe this, maybe that.” But that’s when combined with the juggling hands gesture.

“It’s meaningless, ubiquitous, and nonsensical. In other words, it has all the hallmarks of brainrot,” Dictionary.com said. “Still, it remains meaningful to the people who use it because of the connection it fosters.”

Meanwhile, Merriam-Webster calls 6 7 a “a nonsensical expression used especially by teens and tweens.” Some simply use it to frustrate adults when being questioned.

So, Why Is It Word Of The Year?

Dictionary.com picks its annual word based on social trends and events, so it’s like a historical record of the popping language of the time. The site scoured search engines, headlines and social media trends in making its choice. Online searches for “6-7” took off dramatically over the summer, it said, and haven’t slowed. Searches have grown by six times since June.

“The Word of the Year isn’t just about popular usage; it reveals the stories we tell about ourselves and how we’ve changed over the year,” the site said.

But like parents, teachers, and probably some of y’all roomies, the website is stuck on what it means, too. “Don’t worry, because we’re all still trying to figure out exactly what it means,” the site said in its announcement last week.

Our Word of the Year highlights the trends, conversations, and cultural moments that define how we communicate in real life and online.

Every year, a new phrase takes over TikTok and everyday conversations—but no one saw this one coming.

Dictionary.com has officially named “6 7” the Word of the Year for 2025, and it’s left parents, teachers, and even linguists scratching their heads. The seemingly random phrase went viral after appearing in a song and spreading through Gen Alpha’s TikTok videos, memes, and classroom jokes.

What started as a lyric in a rap track quickly turned into a global inside joke, with teens shouting “six seven” in classrooms, sports arenas, and comment sections everywhere. You might be wondering if the phrase actually means anything— and why exactly it became such a phenomenon. Here’s everything to know about the viral slang that captured Gen Alpha’s humor and earned the top linguistic honor of 2025.

What Is the Word of the Year 2025?

Dictionary.com officially crowned “6 7” as the 2025 Word of the Year after the phrase took over TikTok, Instagram, and school hallways across the U.S. The term captured the chaotic, playful humor of Gen Alpha and teens, who use it as a kind of nonsense catchphrase that somehow still feels relatable. The site noted that “6 7” perfectly embodies how language is evolving in the digital age, where memes, music, and viral videos now define how young people communicate.

What Does 6 7 Mean?

At its core, “6 7” doesn’t have a fixed definition — and that’s part of its charm. It’s mostly used for comedic effect, to react to random moments online or in conversation. For many teens, saying “six seven” is just a funny way to fill silence or express confusion without really saying anything. That kind of meaning-through-nonsense is what makes it such a Gen Alpha slang staple. As Dictionary.com explained, the phrase represents how young users “find belonging and humor in randomness,” turning silliness into social bonding.

Who Started the Viral 6 7 Trend?

The trend traces back to “Doot Doot (6 7)”, a 2024 track by rapper Skrilla, which first popularized the phrase through its catchy beat and nonsensical lyrics.

Shortly after, TikTok users began quoting and remixing the song in funny videos. The real explosion came when a viral clip showed a kid shouting “six seven!” at a basketball event, sparking a wave of edits and memes linking the phrase to athletes, especially LaMelo Ball, who stands 6′ 7″ tall.

Burgundy edit: The colour that’s defining fall season fashion trends this year

Every year when fall rolls around, our wardrobes go through a bit of an identity crisis. Suddenly, your summer florals look too chipper, your blacks feel too soon, and you’re caught somewhere between “it’s chilly” and “why am I still sweating in this sweater?” That’s when burgundy walks in, like that friend who just gets it. It’s deep without being dreary, bold without being loud, and rich enough to make your outfit look like it came straight out of a coffee-table fashion book.

Here are 10 reasons to prove why burgundy is the most wearable, mood-lifting colour of the season and how to make it work for everything from office days to wedding nights.

1. It’s the ultimate transitional shade

Fall fashion is tricky. It’s all about balance, and burgundy does that perfectly. It has the depth of winter tones but the warmth of summer’s leftovers. That means your burgundy blazer, midi dress, or wide-leg trousers can easily work for early autumn brunches and late-December dinners.

Style tip: Pair a burgundy corduroy jacket with beige or camel trousers for a sleek day look, and swap in a leather skirt or dark jeans for evening plans. The colour transitions effortlessly, so your outfit doesn’t have to.

2. It feels luxe without trying too hard

Burgundy is a shade that whispers “expensive.” Maybe it’s because it sits right between jewel tones and neutrals, elegant without shouting for attention. Be it in velvet, silk, or suede, it instantly elevates even the most basic outfit.

Style tip: For workwear, a burgundy satin blouse with gold hoops. For date night? A deep wine-toned slip dress and minimal jewellery.

3. It’s made for textures

Some colours get lost when layered, but not burgundy. It thrives in texture play. These can include chunky knits, leather pants, or ribbed sweaters in wine hues that add dimension to your outfit.

Style tip: Mix textures within the same tone, say, a wool coat over a satin shirt with matte boots. Burgundy’s depth makes layering fun instead of fussy. Bonus: it looks incredible in both natural and artificial light.

4. It flatters everyone

No gatekeeping here, burgundy suits every skin tone. So, if you’re warm, cool, or neutral, this shade brings out natural warmth without washing you out. It’s why makeup artists, too, swear by wine-toned lipsticks and nail shades for fall.

Style tip: If you’re hesitant, start small. Add a burgundy scarf, beanie, or handbag. You’ll be surprised how quickly it becomes your favourite accent colour.

5. It’s a mood-setter

While summer is about carefree brightness, fall calls for depth. Burgundy brings that it’s dramatic, romantic, and just the right amount of moody. It instantly makes any outfit look more polished and thought-out, even if you just threw it on while running late.

Style tip: Add burgundy accessories to break up an all-neutral outfit. A maroon belt, a deep wine hat, or ankle boots add personality without being overpowering.

6. It plays well with other colours

You’d think such a strong colour would be hard to style but burgundy is surprisingly versatile. It pairs beautifully with neutrals like beige, cream, or grey, and also complements navy, blush, and olive.

Style tip: If you love colour, try pairing burgundy with dusty pink for a chic monochrome vibe or with mustard for a rich fall palette that feels editorial yet wearable.

7. It’s festive but not flashy

When the festive season rolls in, everyone reaches for red and gold. Burgundy gives you a more sophisticated alternative, it’s rich enough to feel celebratory without being OTT. Perfect for Diwali dinners, fall weddings, or even a Christmas brunch.

Style tip: A burgundy kurta set with antique gold jewellery is the ideal festive balance between subtle and statement.

8. It’s the grown-up red

Burgundy is red’s more refined sister, it’s still bold, but with restraint. It’s confident without being loud, and passionate without being predictable. Perfect for anyone in their “quiet luxury” era.

Style tip: Replace your usual red lip or red dress with a deeper, wine-hued version this season. Same impact, just with more maturity and mystery.

9. It translates across fabrics

Unlike some trendy colours that only look good in one texture, burgundy is universally flattering, from velvet to denim, leather to lace. It adapts to your mood and occasion.

Style tip: Invest in a statement burgundy coat or boots. They’ll tie together your fall wardrobe and make you look instantly styled, no matter what’s underneath.

10. It’s timeless not trendy

Burgundy is a recurring classic. It shows up every fall and somehow feels new each time. So, if you invest in a few good burgundy pieces, they’ll always have a place in your wardrobe rotation.

Style tip: Go for timeless silhouettes such as trench coats, turtlenecks, or midi skirts in this shade. You’ll re-wear them season after season.

The next time you’re torn between dressing practical and Pinterest-worthy, just remember: throw on a bit of burgundy. You’ll look warm, chic, and like you’ve got autumn completely under control, even if you’re still sweating under that “light” sweater.

Mumford & Sons Confirm Second LP In A Year

by jummy84 October 29, 2025
written by jummy84

Less than a week after unveiling the surprise new single “Rubber Band Man” featuring Hozier and produced by the National’s Aaron Dessner, Mumford & Sons have confirmed that their second album in less than a year, Prizefigher, will arrive Feb. 13 from Glassnote.

The material came together quickly last fall at Dessner’s upstate New York studio Long Pond, but was temporarily put on hold while Mumford & Sons focused first on completing the album RUSHMERE, which was released in late March.

Dessner, who previously worked with Mumford on their chart-topping 2015 album Wilder Mind, helped secure guest appearances by Chris Stapleton, Gigi Perez and Gracie Abrams for the upcoming 14-track set.

“We feel like we’re hitting our prime as a creative force,” says Marcus Mumford. “We’re putting everything we have into this now, and we’re using everything about our experience so far to embrace exactly who we are. We’re comfortable in our skins these days. And Prizefighter is us going for it – serious and playful, sometimes bruised and always hopeful. We’re nowhere near done yet. I hope and believe and we’re in the beginning of something we don’t want to let up on. I’m more excited to be in this band than I’ve ever been.”

Mumford & Sons begin a 22-date U.K. and European tour begins Nov. 6 in Stockholm and concludes Dec. 10-11 at the O2 in London. The band will be back in the U.S. for a one-off Dec. 27 appearance at San Diego’s Wild Horses Festival, and will also play Noah Kahan’s Out of the Blue festival in Cancun in early January and the Innings Festival in Tempe, Az., in late February.

Here is the track list for Prizefighter:

“Here’”(with Chris Stapleton)
“Rubber Band Man” (with Hozier)
“The Banjo Song”
“Run Together”
“Conversation With My Son”
“Alleycat”
“Prizefighter”
“Begin Again”
“Icarus” (with Gigi Perez)
“Stay”
“Badlands” (with Gracie Abrams)
“Shadow of a Man”
“I’ll Tell You Everything”
“Clover”
