“We have more action, more flying, more reveals, more drama.” More Witches & Wizards! Universal has revealed a fun LEGO recreation of the recent featurette for Jon M. Chu’s Wicked: For Good, opening in theaters everywhere in November. This behind-the-scenes look complements the first trailer a few months back. For Good is the second chapter of this immersive, cultural celebration. “It’s really about them trying to get back together in some way, even if the fates don’t allow that.” As an angry mob rises up against the Wicked Witch, Glinda and Elphaba will need to come together one final time. With their strong friendship now the fulcrum of their futures, they will need to truly see each other, with honesty and empathy, if they are to change themselves, and all of Oz, for good. Cynthia Erivo stars as Elphaba Thropp, a young woman with green skin who becomes the Wicked Witch. Ariana Grande co-stars as Glinda, with Michelle Yeoh, Jonathan Bailey, Ethan Slater, Marissa Bode, Bowen Yang, Bronwyn James, Keala Settle, plus Jeff Goldblum as the iconic Wizard of Oz. With Sharon D. Clarke as the voice of Elphaba’s childhood nanny, Dulcibear. This is a shot-for-shot remake of the featurette from August, including all the behind-the-scenes, on set footage with Chu being redone in LEGO, too. Which is the most amusing part about it. Enjoy.

Here’s the fun LEGO version of the featurette for Jon M. Chu’s sequel Wicked: For Good, from YouTube:

Wicked: For Good Featurette

“You’re the only friend I ever had…” The final chapter of the untold story of the witches of Oz begins with Elphaba and Glinda estranged and living with the consequences of their choices. Elphaba (Cynthia Erivo), now demonized as The Wicked Witch of the West, lives in exile, hidden in the Ozian forest while continuing her fight for the freedom of Oz’s silenced Animals and desperately trying to expose the truth she knows about The Wizard (Jeff Goldblum). Glinda, meanwhile, has become the glamorous symbol of Goodness for all of Oz, living at the palace in Emerald City and reveling in the perks of fame and popularity. However, under the instruction of Madame Morrible (Oscar winner Michelle Yeoh), Glinda is then deployed to serve as an effervescent comfort to all of Oz, reassuring the masses that all is well under the rule of The Wizard.

Wicked: For Good, also known as Wicked: Part Two, is also directed by talented American filmmaker Jon M. Chu, director of the movies Step Up 2: The Streets, The LXD, Step Up 3D, G.I. Joe: Retaliation, Jem and the Holograms, Now You See Me 2, Crazy Rich Asians, In the Heights, and the first Wicked movie. The screenplay is written by Winnie Holzman and Dana Fox. It’s adapted from Holzman & Stephen Schwartz’s stage musical Wicked, which is based on the 1995 novel Wicked: The Life and Times of the Wicked Witch of the West by Gregory Maguire, inspired by The Wonderful Wizard of Oz. Produced by Marc Platt and David Stone (of the Broadway musical). Universal Pictures will debut Chu’s sequel Wicked: For Good in theaters everywhere starting November 21st, 2025 just before Thanksgiving this fall. Excited to watch this finale?

Scott Hoying Eliminated on Wicked Night

by jummy84 October 22, 2025
written by jummy84

One couple was changed for good during “Dancing With the Stars” Wicked Night.

The Oct. 21 episode welcomed director John M. Chu as the guest judge as pairs danced to hit songs from “Wicked” — with some taking on Elphaba and some taking Glinda.

This week’s scores were combined with last week’s dedication night. Last week, Carrie Ann Inaba recieved a bit of backlash for her criticism on certain pairs, but this week, she gave the first 10 of the season. The score came for Whitney Leavitt and Mark Ballas’ quickstep. The other judges, with the exception of Derek Hough who went with a 9, agreed with Inaba. At the end of the night, Jordan Chiles and Ezra Sousa also received three 10s and one nine — Hough is saving his 10 paddle — for their stunning rumba.

Hough pointed out after Andy Richter and Emma Slater’s jazz routine that it’s the last week, “so we’ll see,” and ultimately gave him a 6. The other judges, however, were more impressed, with the rest giving him 7s.

Last week, Inaba told Danielle Fishel and Pasha Pashkov that their dances were starting to look the same. This week, she applauded Fishel’s courage and said this was her breakthrough dance. Bruno Tonioli said it was “the most difficult song to choregraph” and Hough complimented the difficulty of the routine, calling it “magnificent.” The scores of four 9s gave them a huge boost on the leaderboard.

But it was Elaine Hendrix and Alan Bersten’s contemporary routine to “Defying Gravity” that left everyone (including Bersten) in tears and on their feet. “I am 54, I am injured and I just did that,” she said after the dance through tears. She landed four 9s for the powerful routine.

After all the dances and the scores combined from the last two weeks, Richter remained on the bottom of the leaderboard, with Leavitt returning to the top. Once the votes were added in — the show hit 100 million votes over the last two weeks — Scott Hoying was sent home.

Here’s a full list of scores from Wicked Night:

Scott Hoying and partner Rylee Arnold
Dance: Contemporary to “The Wizard And I”
Score: 28/40

Alix Earle and partner Val Chmerkovskiy
Dance: Jazz to “What Is This Feeling?”
Score: 35/40

Score: 39/40

Dylan Efron and partner Daniella Karagach
Dance: Rumba to “I’m Not That Girl”
Score: 32/40

Andy Richter and partner Emma Slater
Dance: Jazz to “One Short Day”
Score: 27/40

Elaine Hendrix and partner Alan Bersten
Dance: Contemporary to “Defying Gravity ”
Score: 36/40

Jen Affleck and partner Jan Ravnik

The next “Dancing With the Stars” episode will be Halloween night, airing Oct. 28 at 8 p.m. ET on ABC and Disney+, streaming the next day on Hulu.

‘Wicked’ sequel will feature a surprise Hollywood star as the Cowardly Lion

by jummy84 October 19, 2025
written by jummy84

Director Jon M. Chu has teased that Wicked: For Good will feature a surprise Hollywood star in the role of the Cowardly Lion.

The sequel to last year’s Wicked is set to be released in cinemas on November 21, and it will catch up with Cynthia Erivo’s Elphaba and Ariana Grande’s Glinda after the conclusion of the first film as they embrace their identities as the Wicked Witch of the West and Glinda the Good respectively.

Jonathan Bailey, Michelle Yeoh and Jeff Goldblum are among the other actors that will reprise their roles in the new film, and now Chu, who also helmed the first instalment, has teased that a familiar name will be voicing the Cowardly Lion.

The film is adapted from the second act of the 2003 stage musical by Stephen Schwartz and Winnie Holzman and it includes action from both before and after Dorothy Gale’s arrival from Kansas in the Land of Oz. As such, there will be some inclusion of the other iconic characters from The Wizard Of Oz, the Tin Man, the Scarecrow and the Lion.

In an interview with Deadline, Chu spoke about reaching out to a secret star on Instagram to offer him the role.

“I was like, ‘It’s not a ton of lines, but maybe you have a little time. I know you’re busy. I’ll come to you.’ He was like, ‘Why the fuck not, let’s go!’ And then we went ahead and recorded the lines,” Chu said.

“Man, wait until the red carpet when the actor who gave us the Cowardly Lion’s voice steps foot on it. It’ll be wild,” he added.

The name has not been disclosed, but some fans of the films have suggested it could be Lin-Manuel Miranda, who is known to have been eager to star in the first film, with others speculating about Jack Black and J.K. Simmons.

The trailer for Wicked: For Good first premiered at CinemaCon back in April, and was praised by those in attendance.

Wicked received a four-star review from NME, with Nick Levine writing: “By the end, you won’t quite be levitating off your seat but you’ll definitely be enchanted enough to stream the soundtrack on the way home. Funny, colourful and full of empathy for outsiders, this film really is the Shiz.”

Chu claimed last year For Good is “more relevant” to where we are “in society right now,”: “Part Two, I will say because I’ve cut Part Two together, is a doozy. “[You’re] getting the meat. I did not know the context of where we’d be in society right now. It becomes eight times more relevant than before when you’re talking about truth and consequences of making the right or wrong choices. It’s intense.”

Erivo previously revealed that she co-wrote an original song for For Good. “I collaborated on one of the new songs, and it’s so special to me,” she said. “When we filmed it, the entire crew was in tears. I hope audiences are ready – it’s a song that speaks to the heart of who Elphaba is.”

An Exclusive First Look at Paul Tazewell’s Costumes in ‘Wicked: For Good’

by jummy84 October 16, 2025
written by jummy84

For any costume designer, a project of Wicked’s scope and scale would pose a thrilling challenge. But in Paul Tazewell’s case, he was tasked with outfitting two such movies—Wicked and Wicked: For Good—simultaneously. “It was exciting to shoot this way, to really maximize the scenery and consistency of the characters,” he says. “But it also meant that we needed to have a clear sense of the overall arc of the story.”

His work has already paid off in spades; Tazewell won an Oscar this year for his costumes in the first film. Now he’s ready to share a first look at Wicked’s highly-anticipated sequel, out on November 21.

Wicked: For Good picks up right where Wicked ended: Now vilified as the Wicked Witch of the West, Elphaba (Cynthia Erivo) has fled to the Ozian forest, while Glinda (Ariana Grande) is working for the Wizard in Emerald City. “In part one, we see two young women beginning their adult lives, and making choices [about] how they want to see the world,” says Tazewell. “In Wicked: For Good, we see how they make sense of the consequences that are created in making those choices.”

Wicked: For Good director teases “extraordinary” reveal

by jummy84 October 12, 2025
written by jummy84

It’s only a matter of weeks until the release of Wicked: For Good, the anticipated follow-up to the box-office-smashing Wicked: Part One.

The film will see Cynthia Erivo and Ariana Grande reprise their leading roles as Elphaba and Glinda, with this second instalment set to be more emotional than the first. The recently released trailer surprised many fans with just how much was included, including the appearances of the Tin Man and the Scarecrow.

And it’s those character reveals that are really set to take viewers’ breath away, according to director Jon M. Chu.

Speaking during a panel talk at the London Film Festival 2025, Chu shared: “Wait until you see the Tin Man and the Scarecrow. These are not digital effects. These are real, physical makeup and hair. And it is extraordinary.

“I couldn’t show anybody here, but when you see it, when you look at it, know that there was no room for error on it. And the team that did it is just incredible.”

The glimpses we get of both characters in the trailer are definitely ones for the books, and the fact that they’re not digital effects makes them that bit more impressive. We’ll just continue patiently counting down the days until the release of Wicked: For Good for now!

After the dramatic ending of Wicked: Part One, things took quite the turn for Elphaba and Glinda as the true intentions of both the Wonderful Wizard of Oz (Jeff Goldblum) and Madame Morrible (Michelle Yeoh) became all too clear.

With the whole of Oz being indoctrinated to think of Elphaba as wicked, this upcoming second film will dig even further into the consequences for both women, who were once best friends.

Read more:

Cynthia Erivo told Variety of the second part: “We’re diving deeper into the consequences of the characters’ choices. The story is richer, and the stakes are higher. It’s not just a continuation; it’s a transformation.”

Speaking about what it was like to shoot the second film, Ariana Grande also told Variety: “Shooting For Good was unlike anything I’ve ever experienced.

“It was such a long and emotional process. I kind of left my body. We filmed it over the course of a week, and it stayed with me. I haven’t even seen the final cut yet because I’m not sure I’m ready to feel all of it again.”

Wicked: For Good is scheduled for release on 21st November 2025.

r.e.m. Beauty Wicked For Good Makeup Collection Review

I personally consider myself a Glinda rising, Elphaba sun, and Nessarose moon, so I immediately gravitated towards the moody, earthy tones in the Elphaba Makeup Set and the Ozian Forest Eyeshadow Palette. For an everyday fall look, I used a couple matte neutral shades from the palette — a pale beige called “Confusifying,” “Witching Hour” (a warm tan), and “The Grimmerie” (a milk chocolate) in the crease. Then, I applied a plummy lip & cheek tint from the Elphaba set (the shade is “Braverism,” which…love) as a lipstick and blush, and added the glossy balm in the shade Wickedness (a sheer brown with golden-magenta micro glitter) to round out the lip combo. I already happened to be wearing a green cardigan and my hair in a long braid, which totally brought the Elphaba vibes to life.

Dylan, ‘Wicked’ Among 170 RSD Black Friday Titles

by jummy84 October 3, 2025
written by jummy84

More than 170 exclusive titles will be available in independent record stores on Nov. 28 as part of RSD Black Friday, including from Bob Dylan, Talking Heads, Chappell Roan and Billie Eilish, plus a witchy promotion with turntable maker Crosley surrounding the release of the film Wicked: For Good.

Fans of a certain age will flock to The Original Free Wheelin’ Bob Dylan, which restores four tracks originally intended for the landmark 1963 album but removed by Columbia Records due to concerns about their subject matter: “Rocks and Gravel,” “Let Me Die in My Footsteps,” “Rambling, Gambling Willie” and “Talkin’ John Birch Paranoid Blues.” Also out for RSD Black Friday is a seven-inch vinyl single for “Masters of War,” recorded in poet Alan Lomax’s apartment in 1963. The b-side is a conversation the two man had afterwards.

The 2024 Wicked soundtrack was one of RSD Black Friday’s most in-demand titles, so it’s no surprise that its sequel album, Wicked: For Good – The Soundtrack, will be sold as a double-picture disc set with an alternate cover and poster. The Crosley turntables, meanwhile, have been made in green and pink color schemes reflecting the sensibilities of Wicked Witch Elphaba and Good Witch Glenda.

Billie Eilish will offer a 10-inch vinyl live EP recorded at the London Palladium, while Chappell Roan’s two most recent singles, “The Giver” and “The Subway,” will be paired for the first time on wax. 2025 Record Store Day Ambassador Post Malone will get in on the fun with Long Bed, which rounds up nine songs never before available in physical formats.

Other highlights of the release slate:

* Talking Heads’ Tentative Decisions: Demos & Live, sourced from a 1974 cassette demo made by Chris Frantz, David Byrne and Tina Weymouth when they were still known as the Artistics and including a host of rare early live recordings from Talking Heads’ brief trio period before the arrival of guitarist Jerry Harrison.

* Prince’s Around the World in a Day: The Singles, which includes seven-inch vinyls of “Raspberry Beret,” “Paisley Park,” “Pop Life” and “America” plus the rare “4 the Tears in Your Eyes,” Prince’s contribution to the We Are the World charity album.

* The first vinyl release of Fleetwood Mac’s Live 1975, recorded on the band’s first tour after the arrival of Stevie Nicks and Lindsey Buckingham. At the time, the group was still performing songs from its Peter Green era such as “Hypnotized” and “Oh Well,” which would largely disappear forever after this point.

* A complete live performance of Flaming Lips’ beloved 2002 album Yoshimi Battles the Pink Robots, recorded Aug. 30, 2024 at Zoo Amphitheatre in the group’s Oklahoma City hometown.

Wicked: For Good Dialogues – Ariana Grande And Cynthia Erivo’s Emotional Rollercoaster In This  Musical Fantasy Film | Glamsham.com

The final Wicked: For Good trailer has finally arrived, giving us an electrifying first glimpse at the climactic sequel to the beloved Wicked franchise. Released on September 24, the trailer hints at a darker, more emotionally fraught installment within the world of Oz as conflict ignites between Ariana Grande’s Glinda and Cynthia Erivo’s Elphaba.

The trailer opens with a heated exchange between the two witches. Glinda says, “I’m a public figure now, people expect me to—” before Elphaba cuts in sharply with, “Fly?” What follows is a striking showdown, including a moment where Glinda smashes her wand against Elphaba’s broom on the Yellow Brick Road, symbolizing their fractured bond.

Fans of the Broadway musical will be thrilled to hear powerful renditions of iconic songs, including Glinda’s polished “Thank Goodness” and Elphaba’s defiant “No Good Deed.” Romance adds further emotional weight, as Elphaba and Fiyero (Jonathan Bailey) share a passionate midair duet in “As Long As You’re Mine.”

Chaos ensues when Glinda and Fiyero’s wedding is interrupted by stampeding animals, leading Madame Morrible (Michelle Yeoh) to exclaim, “This is the work of the Wicked Witch!” While the story delves into betrayal and sacrifice, moments of levity remain—like Glinda’s gleeful line, “I’m obsess-u-lated!” as she floats in her signature bubble.

The trailer gives the audience a nostalgic vision of the classic characters of Oz—the Cowardly Lion, Tin Man, and Scarecrow—and the climactic moment that Nessa Rose (Marissa Bode) floats into the air as her shoes shimmer into the tattered ruby slippers.
