Last month, I drove the MG Cyberster at the Buddh International Circuit, which has quietly become the de facto venue for manufacturer test drives that need a controlled environment. EV brands love it — not because a racetrack flatters their cars, but because it makes logistics easy. You can limit the experience to a handful of laps, keep the running minimal, and top up the battery from the on-site charger. No worrying about range anxiety here.

The Cyberster’s scissor doors can be opened and closed with a button. It’s a cool party trick.

But here’s the thing: The Buddh Circuit also has a way of exposing a car’s weaknesses. And in the Cyberster’s case, it did so in a couple of laps. EVs and racetracks have never been a happy pairing. Like most electric sportscars, the Cyberster is too heavy and too softly sprung to truly shine on a race track.

Sure, the 0–100kph time of 3.2 seconds makes for a great headline, but after that, the power tails off. The top speed is just over 200kph, which, on Buddh’s kilometre-long stretch, feels pedestrian.

The Cyberster’s appeal doesn’t live on the racetrack. It lives in your driveway, in traffic, at a five-star hotel porch, and in the heads it turns on every street. This is easily the best-looking sports car you can buy for ₹74 lakh, roof up or down. Speaking of the roof, it folds neatly away in about 15 seconds.

But the real party trick? Those doors. Scissor doors, the kind Lamborghini immortalised with its iconic Countach in the 1970s. In the world of exotic cars, door-design is part of the peacock display. Butterfly doors, for example, are the signature of the Pagani, Koenigsegg and McLaren P1. The Mercedes 300SL’s gullwing doors carry such mystique that makes this model one of the most sought after classics.

The Cyberster has not only democratised scissor doors but arguably improved them. In a Lambo, you need long arms and a bit of a heave to pull them down manually. The MG? Just press a button on the centre console and both doors power open or close. In one stroke, MG has brought the sort of driveway theatre previously reserved for ₹5-crore-plus hypercars to a wider audience.

The Cyberster also has none of the daily-driving histrionics of traditional sports cars. No temperamental clutch, no overheating in traffic. Just smooth, silent progress. It’s comfortable enough to use every day — provided you watch out for speed breakers.

At ₹74 lakh, the response to the Cyberster has been healthy, especially for something that’s a full import. Originally, MG had considered producing the car locally to bypass India’s punishing import duties, but the roof mechanism was too complex to assemble locally. Had they managed it, the price could have dropped to around ₹60 lakh ex-showroom — a figure that would have made scissor doors genuinely within reach.

In the end, the MG Cyberster isn’t the kind of sports car you take to a track day. It’s the kind you take everywhere else. It’s about drama, presence, and the smugness of getting Lamborghini-style doors at less than a tenth of the cost.

Salman Khan did not hold back while sharing his comments on the performance of Bigg Boss 19 participant Mridul Tiwari.

From contestants to the audience, many eagerly wait for the Weekend Ka Vaar episode of Bigg Boss to see host Salman Khan consider the contestants’ performances. Last week, he was unable to attend because he was busy shooting his upcoming film, and filmmaker Farah Khan came instead. But this week, Salman has returned, as seen in the new teaser shared by the makers.

Mridul Tiwari was one of the contestants who received feedback from Salman Khan during this week’s Weekend Ka Var episode.

Salman calls out Mridul

In the teaser shared by JioHotstar on Instagram, Salman spoke about Mridul and said, “Aap humesha kisi ke chatra chaya mein chal rahe ho! Plus one ke category mein nazar aa rahe ho aap. Kitne followers hai aapke (You are always playing under someone in the house. You seem to have fallen in the plus one category. How many followers do you have)?” Mridul answers that he has 35 million followers.

Salman adds, “Aap ko aisa lagta hain ki chahe mein kuch bhi karoon ya naa karoon itne vote toh aa hi jayenge. Nahi dega koi. Ab yaha pe jab dikhayi nahi de rahe ho toh ap ke followers waqt aane par definitely haath khada kar denge (You think whether you do something or not, your followers will always vote for you. That will not happen. Let me tell you that now that you are not visible then when time comes your followers will also take a backseat)!”

The reality show kicked off on 24 August with a new theme of “Gharwalon Ki Sarkaar” (Government of the Housemates). The theme states that the house will be run by the contestants’ decisions and that Bigg Boss will not interfere in the matter. This week, Abhishek Bajaj, Ashnoor Kaur, Nehal Chudasama and Pranit More have been nominated for eviction.

The show streams every day at 9 PM on JioCinema and airs at 10:30 PM on Colors TV.

Coachella 2026 tickets officially went on sale September 19th. As of 7:00 p.m. local time, weekend One Coachella tickets are sold out. Some Weekend Two tickets — specifically GA w/ shuttle and VIP passes — are still available via the festival’s official website

Fans can also look for Coachella passes via StubHub, where orders are 110% guaranteed through StubHub’s FanProtect program. As a secondary market ticketing platform, StubHub prices may be higher or lower than face value, depending on demand.

Coachella 2026 continues the tradition of offering 3-Day passes only — single-day passes are not available. The festival offers both GA (General Admission) and VIP tiers.

Despite these differences, both weekends feature essentially the same lineup and headliners.

The Weekend Ka Vaar of Bigg Boss 19 once again saw Salman Khan holding contestants accountable, this time putting Nehal in the spotlight. The superstar addressed her emotional breakdowns in the house, reminding her that the platform demands strength and focus, not tears over trivial issues.

Salman Khan Confronts Pranit For Making Jokes At His Expense

Weekend Ka Vaar took a hard-hitting turn when Salman Khan put Pranit in the spotlight, calling him “Tanya’s satellite.” Salman pointed out that Pranit avoids expressing his views openly in the house, choosing instead to channel his thoughts only through Tanya. “You feel that no one gives bhaav to your territory. You don’t express your thoughts anywhere except to Tanya,” he remarked, urging him to step out of the comfort zone.

Salman further highlighted how Pranit’s humour often stays in the shadows, targeted at Gaurav, Zeishan, and Amaal behind their backs, while only Tanya gets the on-face version. Advising him to showcase his real personality, Salman said, “Don’t play at a safe distance. Your humour and personality are not getting displayed here. Do the crowd work on the face with the housemates.”

He also confronted Pranit about his jokes involving Salman himself, saying, “If you were me and I were you, how would you react to the fake punchlines you made on me? Using my name for your work, whether right or wrong, doesn’t bother me. If my name is helping you earn your rozi roti, I’m very happy for you.” Drawing a comparison, he added, “Kapil Sharma and Krushna also do comedy, but not the way you did.”

Closing on a note of encouragement, Salman reminded Pranit to use his humour constructively inside the house: “Do the comedy, but don’t go beneath the belt. The housemates won’t be as understanding as I am.”

Salman Hails Kunicka’s Leadership; Confronts Gaurav Khanna

In another incident, Salman Khan addressed brewing tensions inside the house. Turning his attention to Kunicka, the host praised her leadership, stating, “You’re the captain now, but you looked like a captain from the very beginning. With your experience, you tried to say everything clearly, but no one understood you.” As a token of appreciation, he also surprised her with a playful mini kitchen set.

The conversation then shifted to a moment Kunicka described as her “sadma” in the house — feeling let down by Gaurav during the captaincy task. She revealed, “He considered me like his mother, but when it came to support, he didn’t stand by me. I’m glad Tanya pointed it out, because I tend to take things at face value. Otherwise, I wouldn’t have realised it.”

Gaurav, however, defended his stance, explaining, “I didn’t know how the captaincy task was going to play out. That’s why I couldn’t go to her directly and say I wanted to support Ashnoor. I even informed Abhishek about it. If Tanya’s words had come with the right intention, Kunicka wouldn’t have been so upset.” But Salman Khan wasn’t entirely convinced, pointing out Gaurav’s misjudgment of Ashnoor and calling out his belief that the decision-making power rested solely with him.

Salman Khan Called Out Nehal Chudasama Over Food Drama

Salman also first questioned Nehal on why she cried over not getting food when fruits were still available in the house. “You made it look like you were crying because you weren’t fed at all. That’s not true,” Salman pointed out, leaving her visibly defensive. He then moved on to the thepla incident, where Nehal had asked Kunicka to make thinner theplas. While Kunicka complied, Nehal later called her rude for the same. “Everyone saw the episode, no one thought Kunicka was rude — except you,” Salman said firmly.

Pushing further, Salman asked Nehal what her “Gen Z style of replying” was, to which she could not respond.

With Salman making it clear that small complaints and misplaced accusations will not earn sympathy, the Weekend Ka Vaar once again turned into a mirror for contestants, exposing their actions for the world to see. Tune in to JioHotstar at 9 PM and COLORS at 10:30 PM.
