bitchy | Duchess Meghan stepped out for the Balenciaga show at Paris Fashion Week

In the past two years, there have been HUGE reshuffles at nearly every major fashion house. It’s a pretty crazy moment for fashionistas and people who study the fashion industry. During Paris Fashion Week, many of the new creative directors of the most recognizable brands in the world gave their debut collections. One of those new chief creatives? Pierpaolo Piccioli’s first-ever collection for Balenciaga after 16 years at Valentino.

The Duchess of Sussex loved wearing Piccioli’s Valentino designs, and on Saturday, she stepped out for her first-ever Paris Fashion Week to attend his debut collection with Balenciaga. I’m assuming that the Balenciaga team styled Meghan, because that’s how most of these “celebrity appearances” at fashion shows work – you get to wear something fresh from the runway and the designers’ stylists want everything to look on-theme. Meghan wore all-white – elegant white trousers, a billowy white button-down and a white cape. She also wore black pumps and carried a black bag. I’m assuming the shoes and bag are Balenciaga as well – Balenciaga has always done some majorly coveted handbags, and I hope they’re prepared for the Meghan Sussex bump. From Hello! Mag:

Meghan, who teased her arrival in the French capital with an Instagram story overlaid with the French track “Viens on essaie” by Vitaa and Julien Doré, was there “in support Pierpaolo Piccioli, who recently assumed the role of Creative Director for the House”, a spokesman for Meghan tells HELLO!.

“Over the years, the Duchess has worn a number of designs by Pierpaolo. They have worked closely together collaborating on design for key moments on the world stage. She has long admired his craftsmanship and modern elegance, and tonight was no different,” said the spokesman. “This evening reflects the culmination of many years of artistry and friendship, reflected in her support for his new creative chapter at Balenciaga.”

[From Hello]

Nice. As I’m writing this, I’ve completely avoided the British tabloid coverage of this. I assume that it will take them a good 12 hours to get their talking points from the palace. What else?? As Vogue pointed out, while this is Meghan’s first-ever appearance at Paris Fashion Week, in her pre-Sussex era, she attended shows at New York Fashion Week, including the runways for Tory Burch, Peter Som, Wes Gordon and Misha Nonoo. Meghan also ran into Anna Wintour at the show and Anna sounded very, very pleased to see Meghan in Paris. American Vogue cover WHEN?? It’s honestly past time for an American Vogue cover. PS… Meghan stepped out in black after the show!!

During the Spring 2026 shows, we’ve already identified plenty of street style trends: eclectic midi skirts in Milan, chaotic layering and pops of orange in London and ’90s-era plaid and lace in New York. But we’re not done yet! The shows are well underway at Paris Fashion Week, …

Meghan Markle at Paris Fashion Week 2025

written by jummy84

Meghan Markle is proving capes aren’t just for superheroes.

The Duchess of Sussex arrived in style at Paris Fashion Week 2025, donning a dramatic floor-length cape as she made her debut appearance for the Balenciaga runway show Oct. 4.

The breezy accessory was part of an all-white ensemble, which also included a button-down shirt and matching slacks. The 44-year-old completed the number with a black clutch and black heels while opting for a minimalist makeup look and wearing her hair in a slicked-back bun.

While Meghan has attended numerous New York Fashion Week and Toronto Fashion Week shows over the years, she attended her first Paris Fashion Week event in support of  Balenciaga’s new creative director Pierpaolo Piccioli, having “long admired his craftsmanship and modern elegance.”

“Over the years, the Duchess has worn a number of designs by Pierpaolo,” Meghan’s spokesperson told People. “This evening reflects the culmination of many years of artistry and friendship, reflected in her support for his new creative chapter at Balenciaga.”

Cuban artist Wampi dropped his debut studio album El Rey de la Habana, home to 13 tracks that bring to the forefront his skills as a composer, producer, and multi-instrumentalist. Beyond his signature and progressive Reparto sound, the studied musician also experiments with funk, cha-cha-cha, R&B, and pop ballads.

“I have clarity on where I want to go with my music and what I want to accomplish… an album is not just a series of songs, it’s a concept, a journey with your team, new friendships with artists and producers and commitment to your fans,” the urban act said in a press release “We’re all kings and queens and I want everyone to embrace their inner and outer royalty and celebrate life with this album.”

Moreover, Natalia Lafourcade makes a powerful statement with “La Cometierra,” an urban-tinged song that tells the story of a girl with the gift of finding the missing. “I feel like the song highlights the importance of connecting with our causes and gifts in order to contribute something positive to the world we live in,” she expressed in a release. “It speaks of values, realities, and inner strength.”

Other new releases this week include music from Myke Towers, Grupo Frontera, and Yami Safdie, to name a few. In last week’s poll, Milo J’s “Niño” won with more than 35% of the vote. Which release this week do you think is best? Give these new releases a spin and vote for your favorite new Latin music release below:

Editor’s Note: The results of the weekly New Music Latin poll will be posted if the poll generates more than 1,000 votes. This poll closes at 7:30 a.m. ET on Monday, Oct. 6.

Heavy Song of the Week: Lamb of God's "Sepsis"

Heavy Song of the Week: Lamb of God’s “Sepsis”

by jummy84 October 3, 2025
written by jummy84

Heavy Song of the Week is a feature on Heavy Consequence breaking down the top metal, punk, and hard rock tracks you need to hear every Friday. This week, we highlight Lamb of God’s new single “Sepsis.”

This is sludgy for Lamb of God and an effective change of pace — quite literally — for the Richmond, Virginia vets. Mark Morton’s riffs are bruising at this slower pace, the bass tone is filthy, and Randy Blythe reaches to a deep register that has him bellowing like a heavy metal Nick Cave. Aside from a brief blasty bit, they maintain this crushing mid-to-slow tempo — like something Crowbar would play — and wear this style well. The track also serves as Lamb of God’s tribute to the underground scene from whence they came, referencing numerous Richmond bands in the lyrics.

“’Sepsis’ is a celebration of the very underground local bands here in Richmond that we really admired when we were just forming Burn the Priest,” stated Morton. “Bands like Breadwinner, Sliang Laos, and Ladyfinger—though they never got widespread attention outside of Richmond, those were the bands we listened to all the time. The song references that stuff in a way that’s a direct line to where we were coming from when we were in the basement writing our earliest material together.”

Honorable Mentions:

Morbikon – “Heavens That Burn and Eons Divided”

Morbikon, led by Municipal Waste’s Phil “Landphil” Hall, are set to drop their sophomore album Lost Within the Astral Crypts on November 21st. “Heavens That Burn and Eons Divided” is the LP opener and a fiery four-plus minutes of blackened thrash with a rock n’ roll tilt, courtesy of Landphil on the guitar. There’s a casual looseness to his shredding that often gets eschewed for over-technicality in this type of metal.

Show Me the Body – “Sabotage”

In some ways, the Beastie Boys’ “Sabotage” laid the groundwork for Show Me the Body’s style of rock-influenced hip-hop. The latter definitely applies more of a modern hardcore edge to their music, but when Julian Cashwan Pratt swings his banjo behind his back and steps up to the mic, rapping over heavy bass riffs, there’s definitely some sonic parallels at play. Hearing them actually cover “Sabotage” drives the comparison home. The band is obviously privy to how well their treatment works, as the cover was already a setlist staple before being recorded in the studio.

SPEED – “AIN’T MY GAME”

Aussie hardcore outfit SPEED are darting up the ranks, garnering a valued support slot on Turnstile’s tour with Amyl and the Sniffers and Jane Remover. Honestly, they might be the heaviest band on that bill, as heard on their new single “AIN’T MY GAME.” Massive metal-riffy hardcore with breakdowns galore and anger-fueled vocals of the NYHC vein, this is sure to get the crowd in a frenzy for Turnstile and company.

The Unforgettable Encounter: Aishwarya Rai Bachchan And Simone Ashley’s Paris Fashion Week Moment | Glamsham.com

by jummy84 October 2, 2025

Simone Ashley and Aishwarya Rai Bachchan left fans in a whirlwind with a heart-warming backstage encounter at Paris Fashion Week. On September 29, the Bridgerton actress took to social media to post a cute update with the legendary Indian actress, a poignant moment of reunion between two generations of international talent. The backstage interaction was at the Le Défilé: Liberté, Egalité, Sororité – “You’re Worth It” L’Oréal Paris Womenswear Spring/Summer 2026 at the Hôtel de Ville in Paris.

Both women strutted their stuff down the catwalk at the celebrity-filled fashion show, representing empowerment and worldwide sisterhood. For Indian-born Simone, it was almost a fan moment. She has in the past spoken about how much she loves Indian film, so this meeting with Aishwarya Rai—a worldwide ambassador of Indian cinema—is that much more special.

At the same time, fans are waiting patiently for a highly anticipated selfie of Aishwarya Rai with Eva Longoria, Gillian Anderson, and Heidi Klum. The four were seen taking the photo together outside the venue where the show was being held but the picture has yet to appear on social media.

Simone Ashley became a global sensation playing Kate Sharma in Bridgerton Season 2, opposite Jonathan Bailey’s Lord Anthony Bridgerton. Their chemistry received huge acclaim and saw them as one of the most popular on-screen couples in recent memory. Although she had a role in F1: The Movie with Brad Pitt, her scene ended up being cut. Her latest screen role was in Picture This opposite Anoushka Chadha and Hero Fiennes Tiffin, and she is also working on her first music album.

Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, who was recently seen in Ponniyin Selvan: I and II (2022–2023), continues to shine worldwide, effortlessly bridging Indian film and global fashion.

The 7 Major Spring 2026 Trends, According to Milan Fashion Week

by jummy84 October 2, 2025
written by jummy84

Fashion month is far from over, and yet we are already talking about the spring/summer 2026 season as one that will be written about in history books and remembered years from now. It gives me chills just to think about the fact that we get to watch fashion history play out in front of us. How lucky are we? Of the many, many significant moments that have happened so far, Milan has been the scene of the crime. All eyes were on MFW this past week as we celebrated the year’s most-anticipated creative director debuts, witnessed heartfelt farewell collections, and ushered in a fresh new chapter in fashion’s aesthetic direction.

Perhaps the most notable runway was at Bottega Veneta, where Louise Trotter’s inaugural collection returned to the heritage of craft and material innovation that the house is known for. At Versace, Dario Vitale brought his signature Miami sex appeal and a heavy ’80s bent to his post at the Italian house.

Meanwhile, Simone Bellotti’s futuristic tailoring and serene minimalism proved to be the perfect match for Jil Sander. Finally, Giorgio Armani bid a bittersweet farewell with a final collection conceived by the late designer himself. And who could get past the Miranda Priestly—er, Meryl Streep—sighting front row at Dolce & Gabbana?

Now that the style set has packed up its things and headed to Paris to close out fashion month, let’s sit down and discuss everything we just saw from the Milan fashion week S/S 2026 shows that gave us plenty to discuss and dissect.

Color Theory

(Image credit: Launchmetrics Spotlight/Fendi; Launchmetrics Spotlight/Versace; Launchmetrics Spotlight/Prada)

Color, color, and more color! Bright, vivid tones have popped up on the New York and London runways, but in Milan, designers took it to another level with looks that combined shades from across, diagonal, and adjacent the color wheel. Orange and pink; red and blue; purple and green—it seems the more off-kilter the pairings, the better.

Preppy aesthetics are to be expected from heritage American labels, but the European houses are putting their lens on modern prep, and it’s one trend we’re already expecting to majorly come spring 2026. Prada tapped in through sporty jackets, Boss highlighted crisp tailoring, and Missoni took a layered approach with sweaters and sweatshirts that could almost be collegiate.

If you were on Tumblr between approximately 2010 and 2014, you’re probably getting flashbacks right now from the exposed-bra aesthetic. The look, especially layered with lariat necklaces and dainty body chains, was all over during that era, and it seems like just over a decade later, it’s once again returned. Prada’s take involved dramatically large bra tops that reminded us of cutout doll clothes, while The Attico took a much more 2000s-inspired approach with push-up bras peeking out from under fitted cardigans.
