NFL predictions: Ndamukong Suh picks Super Bowl contenders, dark horses, MVP and players to watch

by jummy84 September 3, 2025
written by jummy84

Both the Eagles and Chiefs are among the teams expected to get back to the big game but who are the other sides to watch? Who will end the season as MVP? Which defensive and offensive players will stand out? And who are the dark horses?

To answer all those questions, RadioTimes.com sat down with NFL legend and Sky Sports pundit Ndamukong Suh to get his predictions for the season ahead.

Ndamukong Suh’s NFL 2025 predictions

Super Bowl contenders

Kansas City Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes. Photo by Jamie Squire/Getty Images Photo by Jamie Squire/Getty Images

“I think there are going to be a lot of teams that have an opportunity to win. I think the strongest conference will be the NFC but there are a couple of teams I think have an opportunity to get to the Super Bowl.

“I have to mention the Kansas City Chiefs. I would also say the Detroit Lions. I think the Washington Commanders as well. And of course, the Philadelphia Eagles seem like they’re rebuilding every single year to make that hard push to get into the Super Bowl.

“Those are my kind of top four teams as of right now that I think have a legit chance to get there as of right now.”

Dark horses

Chicago Bears quarterback Caleb Williams, in white, blue and orange NFL uniform, hands off the American football to running back D'Andre Swift, with Bears and Kansas City Chiefs players in the background.

“I’ve just got a good feeling about my dark horses being the Chicago Bears. I think Ben Johnson and Caleb Williams are going to find a way to create havoc in that black and blue division of the NFC North.

“Ultimately, I mean, it’s fair game for anybody and everybody. Everybody is at 00:00 today. We’ll see after week one how things shape up but even then. I mean, it’s so early in the season. The season, honestly, hasn’t even started yet.”

MVP

Baltimore Ravens Lamar Jackson, in purple and black NFL uniform, prepares to throw an American football.

“My MVP for this year is Lamar Jackson. And the reason I’m picking him is I believe he and the Baltimore Ravens understand this is kind of a ‘put up or shut up’ year.

“He’s going to have to have an MVP season to be able to dethrone the two nemeses of his career – Josh Allen of the Buffalo Bills and Patrick Mahomes of the Kansas City Chiefs – to win that Conference (the AFC) and go from there.”

Defensive player to watch

Green Bay Packers Micah Parsons, in a yellow hat and a green, yellow and blue jumper, gestures as he speaks in front of a Green Bay Packers sponsors board.

“The player I’m most excited to watch outside of my defensive tackles? That would have to be Micah Parsons.

“I think as long as he stays healthy, you’re going to see a Green Bay Packers defence that is built around him to have success. I feel like they made that trade as their next version of Reggie White to come in and take them to a Super Bowl and have an opportunity to go and win it.”

Offensive player to watch

Saquon Barkley, in green and white NFL uniform, celebrates with his Philadelphia Eagles teammates in the end zone.

“The non-quarterback to stand out this year? It’s a tough one. I mean, I think my easy answer would be Saquon Barkley. I think he back doors his successful season.

“He may not have a record-breaking year, but he’s still going to be a massive force to be dealt with. He’s obviously the linchpin and cornerstone of the Philadelphia Eagles team and offence.”

How to watch NFL on TV

NFL TV rights will be divided between Sky Sports, NFL Game Pass via DAZN and free-to-air channel 5 in 2025.

Sky Sports boasts the first pick for the 6pm and 9pm game slots each Sunday, as well as up to three more games on any given Sunday.

Sky will also show every Thursday Night, Sunday Night and Monday Night Football game. The popular NFL RedZone will also be shown on Sky platforms.

NFL Game Pass via DAZN will show every single game of the entire NFL season, including the playoffs. The two first-pick Sunday games chosen by Sky will be shown on Game Pass via a 24-hour delay.

You can sign up for NFL Game Pass via DAZN with a Weekly Pro pass from £15.99 per week, or Season Pro pass from £169.99 upfront or a monthly cost of £17.99.

Additionally, 5 will show two NFL games per week across its platforms every Sunday during the regular season.

The schedule will see one game from the 6pm UK time slot shown on 5, before a second game will be shown from 9pm on 5ACTION, which will be rebranded 5NFL on game nights. These games will also be live streamed on the 5 website.

Nishaanchi trailer out: Aaishvary Thackeray shines in double role in Anurag Kashyap’s quintessential masala film. Watch | Bollywood

by jummy84 September 3, 2025
written by jummy84

The makers of Nishaanchi have dropped the trailer, and it looks like a full-blown Bollywood masala. Directed by Anurag Kashyap, the film blends action, comedy, romance, betrayal, and good old-fashioned ‘maa ka pyaar’ into its cinematic experience and marks the Bollywood debut of Aaishvary Thackeray, grandson of Shiv Sena founder Bal Thackrey.

Set in early 2000s Uttar Pradesh, Nishaanchi blends action, comedy, and romance, with a nostalgic soundtrack. The film releases on September 19.

What’s in the trailer

Front and centre is Aaishvary, making his debut in a double role as twin brothers Babloo and Dabloo, who are mirror images in looks but worlds apart in their values. Set in the gritty gullies of small-town Uttar Pradesh in the early 2000s, Nishaanchi follows their tangled lives as they collide in a storm of rebellion, family drama, and personal transformation.

The trailer gives you an adrenaline rush with high-speed chases, charged confrontations, and tender moments of love and longing. With its interesting soundtrack, it throws back to the nostalgia of early 2000s cinema. Anurag calls it his most cinematic film. “Nishaanchi is my most cinematic film with a classic story at its centre… emotion, betrayal, action — everything I grew up loving in Hindi films,” he said.

“Playing twins who are complete opposites challenged me in every way—emotionally, physically, and as an actor. At the same time, contributing to the music of the film was just as special. For me, acting and music are like Babloo and Dabloo—two distinct parts of my personality that balance and complete each other. I’m nervous, but also excited, to finally share this world with everyone. With Anurag sir guiding me through the journey, I discovered something new in every scene, every note,” said Aaishvary.

What to Watch in September 2025: The Paper, Chad Powers, and More

Meanwhile, Only Murders in the Building returns for season five on Tuesday, September 9. Not to take away anything from the trio that is Martin, Short, and Gomez, but I can’t wait to see Renée Zellweger, Téa Leoni, Keegan-Michael Key, Beanie Feldstein, and Dianne Wiest in their guest roles this season.

Then, on Friday, September 12, the final Downton Abbey movie hits theaters (and I’m sure will eventually stream on Peacock at a later date). Julian Fellowes keeps saying it’s the last, but I feel like this world isn’t done yet. Maybe we’ll see a new generation of beloved characters down the line.

Also, don’t miss the Primetime Emmy Awards on CBS on Sunday night, September 14. I’ll be on the red carpet as everyone arrives for what is bound to be a star-studded affair (Adam Brody, Kristen Bell, Quinta Brunson, Parker Posey, Carrie Coon, Noah Wylie, Harrison Ford, Jessica Williams, Jason Segel, Adam Scott, Jean Smart, etc.).

Meanwhile, you might as well cancel all plans on Wednesday, September 17, when The Morning Show season four premieres and The Summer I Turned Pretty comes to an end. That’s a lot of drama and emotion in one day, so plan accordingly.

Finally, the end of the month closes strong with Brett Goldstein and Imogen Poots in the romantic dramedy All of You (more on that below) as well as June Squibb in the heartfelt film Eleanor the Great. (Stay tuned for an Icons Only profile with Squibb on Glamour to coincide with the launch, in which she opens up about the most important life lessons at the age of 95.) If I can highlight one series in particular, though, it’s Chad Powers, coming to Hulu on September 30 and starring Glen Powell. I didn’t quite expect to love it as much as I did. It’s the kind of comedy series that’s so absurdly funny and ridiculous, you don’t want it to end. The official trailer just launched over the weekend, so take a look:

Watch Fifth Harmony Reunite at a Jonas Brothers Concert

by jummy84 September 1, 2025
written by jummy84

Fifth Harmony reunited last night to make a surprise guest appearance at a Jonas Brothers concert, validating longstanding rumors that the group was set to make a return. Camila Cabello, who left the band in 2016, was, as expected, not part of the reunion, but Normani, Lauren Jauregui, Ally Brooke, and Dinah Jane linked up to play “Worth It” and “Work From Home.” Watch fan footage of the whole appearance below, as well as a clip on Fifth Harmony’s social media.

Fifth Harmony went on hiatus in 2018, a few months after releasing their self-titled album. Normani, of course, embarked on what seemed to be a promising solo career—her debut album, Dopamine, arrived last year—and her bandmates Brooke and Jane sparked reunion hopes by collaborating on a cover of “Have Yourself A Merry Little Christmas” in 2023. The band apparently made progress on reunion talks this year, with dates mooted for 2026. Though that remains unconfirmed, the band has released merch reading “Where were you on August 31, 2025?” with a new Fifth Harmony logo, suggesting more activity may be imminent.

Gorillaz kicked off their four-night residency at London’s Copper Box Arena with back-to-back shows on Friday, August 29th, and Saturday, August 30th. The band performed their 2001 self-titled debut on the first night before reprising their Demon Days live show in its entirety the following evening.

The concerts coincide with the final week of the Gorillaz’s House of Kong 25th anniversary exhibition, which began on August 8th and runs through September 3rd. As promised, the group revisited the era for each album by recreating the original live show formats and visuals from each release.

During the Friday show, Gorillaz celebrated their debut album by playing several songs from the project for the first time since 2002: “Man Research (Clapper),” “Sound Check (Gravity),” “Starshine,” and “Slow Country.”

BTS’ Jungkook turns 28 tomorrow, and fans are already buzzing about what he likes to watch when he is not performing. Koreaboo recently rounded up some of his favorite shows, anime, and movies, giving a peek into the things he enjoys during downtime.

Jungkook’s favourite korean dramas

Jungkook posted a clip of Twenty Five Twenty One, a 2022 Netflix K-drama, on his Instagram as per Koreaboo. The show tells the story of an 18-year-old fencing prodigy and a 22-year-old sports journalist seeking a second chance. At 25 and 21, they meet and fall in love-a mix of nostalgia and slow-burn romance.

According to Koreaboo, during quarantine, Jungkook also shared a clip from Netflix’s Paik’s Spirit on his Instagram Stories. Hosted by Chef Baek Jong Won, the show mixes food, drinks, and celebrity guests. In his story, Jungkook captioned it “drinking alone,” highlighting the show’s cozy, relaxing vibe.

Jungkook’s anime picks

Jungkook has long been a fan of anime, and as per Koreaboo, Spirited Away is the singer’s childhood favorite as he dreamed of being Haku, the shape-shifting dragon helping Chihiro navigate a mysterious bathhouse.

Sports anime makes the cut, too. Free! follows high school swimmer Haruka Nanase and his teammates as they train and compete. Fast-paced, intense, and full of camaraderie, it is a must-watch for fans of the genre.

The Girl Who Leapt Through Time also gets a shoutout. The story follows a girl who discovers a device that lets her leap back in time, but changing the past comes with consequences.

For something more intense, there is Parasyte. It follows Shinichi Izumi, whose arm is overtaken by an alien parasite. Jungkook and Jin have both suggested it for fans who enjoy suspense and darker anime themes.

Your Name rounds out his anime picks. On a variety show, Jungkook talked about a moment when two teens finally sense each other’s presence when a bell rings. Koreaboo describes it as one of the moments that captured his imagination.

Movies that tug at his heart

Jungkook loves bittersweet romances like, I Give My First Love to You, which is about a boy expected to die young and the childhood friend who loves him. Anohana: The Flower We Saw That Day tackles friendship and loss, with a ghost reuniting old friends, also makes it to the singer’s list.

Love 911, a 2012 romance about a firefighter and a doctor, made a big impression on Jungkook. Koreaboo cites a Haru Hana interview where Jungkook said, “In the movie Love 911, there’s a kiss scene where the guy lifts the woman up. I want to try that before I die.”

From heartfelt anime to romantic K-dramas, Jungkook’s picks reveal a mix of nostalgia, fantasy, and love-perfect for fans to stream in honor of his birthday tomorrow.
