WATCH : Kartik Aaryan and Ananya Panday’s Jumma Chumma Dance Steals The Show at TMMTMTTM Wrap Bash

by jummy84 September 7, 2025
written by jummy84

Kartik Aaryan and Ananya Panday have officially wrapped up their film Tu Meri Main Tera Main Tera Tu Meri and they celebrated the big milestone with a grand wrap party. The entire cast and crew came together at a buzzing city restaurant, and the night looked like one big celebration of everything they’d achieved over the last couple of months. Kartik and Ananya, who twinned in striking all-black outfits, instantly turned heads as soon as they walked in. From chatting with their team to posing for pictures and joining in the fun, the two made sure the night was filled with energy and laughter.

The most talked-about moment of the evening came when Kartik decided to take the party to the next level. He jumped onto the bar counter and broke into dance, completely owning the moment. Soon after, he called Ananya to join him, and together they recreated Amitabh Bachchan’s iconic Jumma Chumma hook step. With the crowd cheering them on, the two matched steps effortlessly, making it the highlight of the night. Videos from the bash quickly spread online, and fans couldn’t stop talking about their infectious energy, saying it gave them the perfect dose of weekend party vibes.

While Ananya looked completely in sync and enjoyed every bit of the moment, Kartik’s playful and high-spirited performance stole most of the attention. The clip not only showed how comfortable the two are with each other but also how naturally their chemistry comes through, even off screen. It wasn’t staged or rehearsed, just two actors enjoying themselves and creating a memory with their team. That’s exactly why the video connected so well with fans, who are now even more excited to see their dynamic play out in the film.

Directed by Sameer Vidwans, who previously worked with Kartik on Satyaprem Ki Katha, the film was impressively wrapped up in just 57 days. Kartik later expressed his happiness about the journey in an Instagram post, calling the shoot an unforgettable rollercoaster ride. With Tu Meri Main Tera Main Tera Tu Meri set for a February release next year, the wrap party has already managed to build a strong buzz.

John Candy brought laughter to millions with unforgettable roles in Planes, Trains and Automobiles, Uncle Buck, and Cool Runnings. Though the Canadian comedy legend passed away in 1994 at just 43 years old, his legacy continues to resonate with fans worldwide.

More than three decades later, a new documentary titled John Candy: I Like Me is celebrating his life and career. Directed by Colin Hanks and produced by Ryan Reynolds—who proudly calls himself “a superfan”—the film blends never-before-seen footage with heartfelt reflections from Candy’s children, Jennifer and Christopher, whom he shared with his wife, Rosemary Margaret Hobor.

Together, their voices paint an intimate portrait of Candy’s enduring impact on Hollywood and the generations of fans he continues to inspire. “When you hear the name John Candy, your face lights up,” Hanks and Reynolds said in a joint statement. “He wasn’t just a great actor; he was an even better person. People loved his everyman qualities, but they didn’t know how relatable John really was. He went through the same struggles we all do, except now we talk about them. We are incredibly honored to have gotten to know the man better through this process and to bring the real John Candy to audiences.”

Find out everything to know about the upcoming documentary below.

When Does John Candy: I Like Me Premiere?

John Candy: I Like Me world-premiered at the Toronto International Film Festival on September 4, 2025, serving as the opening film of TIFF’s 50th edition.

According to the film’s synopsis, “It’s the story of a son, husband, father, friend, and professional driven to bring joy to audiences and loved ones while battling personal ghosts and Hollywood pressures.”

How Can You Watch John Candy: I Like Me?

The documentary will be available globally to stream on Prime Video starting October 10, 2025.

When the project was first announced back in 2022, Reynolds told fans, “Expect tears.”

How Did John Candy Pass Away?

John died in his sleep from a heart attack on March 4, 1994, while filming Wagons East in Durango, Mexico. He was 43 years old and had publicly discussed living with anxiety and panic attacks.

Who Are John Candy’s Children?

His children, Jennifer and Christopher Candy, feature prominently in the new documentary. They co-produced the film and offer personal reflections in the story, alongside their mother, Rosemary Margaret Hobor.

Movie Review The Bengal Files | ‘We’ The People Must Watch | Glamsham.com

Movie: The Bengal Files

Vivek Ranjan Agnihotri

Theatrical Release Date:
September 5, 2025
Runtime:
3hrs 24mins

Writing about Vivek Ranjan Agnihotri’s The Bengal Files demands a degree of humility. I haven’t lived through the horrors of 1946 Bengal, nor do I carry survivors’ stories in my own family. My vantage is necessarily limited to what the film places before me—the choices of storytelling, performance, craft, and tone. On those terms, this is an unflinching, provocative work that revisits Direct Action Day in Calcutta and the Noakhali atrocities with a singular intent: to make audiences feel the violence and its aftershocks rather than merely know about them.

At 204 minutes, the film is a commitment. The sprawl feels both demanding and, in stretches, deserved for the scale of history it attempts to shoulder. I did wonder if it could have been trimmed—there are passages where intensity shades into excess—but the length also allows the narrative to breathe, to circle back, and to accrue weight scene by scene. Agnihotri interlaces the period reconstruction with a contemporary strand, using the present to refract the past, and vice versa. It’s a familiar device that sometimes overstates its point, yet it does add urgency to the film’s insistence that history isn’t past.

The film’s power often lies in its sound and words. There are lines that land with a crack—clap-worthy, even—because they compress rage, grief, and ideology into sharp, memorable phrasing. The background score oscillates from minimalist unease to full-throated thunder, generally carrying the scenes with it. When it swells, it does so to communicate, not merely decorate; when it recedes, it lets silence do the wounding. On the image side, the cinematography is frequently impressive: long, unbroken takes through chaos and crowd, well-choreographed, sustained at high pitch. VFX is used sparingly and, when it shows up, it doesn’t yank you out of the moment.

Agnihotri’s staging is deliberately confrontational. The film does not look away from gore; it rubs your face in it. The graphic tableaux are designed to sear, to insist that euphemism has no place here. Whether you read that as necessary realism or as a form of manipulation will depend on your tolerance for shock as a tool of remembrance. What’s undeniable is the cumulative effect: stretches of awe and dread that make you physically uneasy, the kind of sequences that leave you with goosebumps long after the cut to black.

Several moments crystallize the film’s political and moral stance. A brazen scene where an MLA slaps a CBI officer says more about the asserted rot in the system than any speech could—broad, unsubtle, effective. And then there’s a striking counterpoint to a famous Krantiveer moment: where Nana Patekar once taunted the idea of identifying blood as Hindu or Muslim, Mithun Chakraborty holds up threads of different faiths and asks if anyone can claim they belong to an Indian rather than to a Hindu or a Muslim. It’s one of the film’s rare gestures toward unity, and it resonates.

Performances serve the thesis with conviction. A veteran Mithun Chakraborty grounds his scenes with weary gravitas; Pallavi Joshi brings a steely clarity with make up that doesn’t look at all; Anupam Kher’s Gandhi is played with restrain but could have been way better in terms of the presentation. Yet the script they inhabit remains more instructive than investigative. The Bengal Files prefers moral certainty to ambiguity. It frames history in stark binaries—heroes, victims, villains—privileging one community’s suffering while leaving scant room for the messier stories of coexistence or dissent. The feature-film format, chosen for its capacity to move hearts, also streamlines complexity into vivid, forceful arcs.

For a viewer without first-hand memory, that is both compelling and troubling. The film claims fidelity to research and testimony, and much of what it depicts aligns with the brutality recorded in accounts of 1946 Bengal. But the dramatization’s urgency sometimes bulldozes nuance, turning reckoning into verdict. You feel guided—at times pushed—toward specific emotions and conclusions. That artistic choice gives the film its undeniable impact; it also narrows the space for viewers to sit with complications history rarely spares.

Ultimately, The Bengal Files is less a neutral lesson than a cinematic act of remembrance with unmistakable intent. It is long, loud in places, and often brutal—but rarely careless. Its dialogues sting, its score carries, its long takes impress, its VFX stays out of the way. It unsettles more than it entertains, and perhaps that is the point. Whether you see it as necessary courage or dangerous simplification will depend on what you ask of art: illumination through empathy, or mobilisation through certainty. From where I sit—as a critic responding to what unfolds on screen—it is a powerful, discomforting work that forces attention onto histories too often ignored, even as it leaves you wrestling with the cost of telling them this way.

Watch Latto and Ice Spice’s Video for New Song “Gyatt”

by jummy84 September 5, 2025
written by jummy84

Latto and Ice Spice have come together for a new song called “Gyatt.” It comes with a new video directed by Hidji World. The wrestling-themed clip boasts cameos from internet personalities Deshae Frost and Tylil James and Love Island star JaNa Craig. Watch it below.

“Gyatt” is co-produced by Go Grizzly, Pooh Beatz, RiotUSA, and Supakaine. It’s Latto’s first single since May’s “Somebody” and Ice Spice’s first since the Katseye collaboration “Gnarly (Ice Spice Remix).”

“Gyatt” also puts a rest to any simmering beef that Latto and Ice Spice may have had. Some fans have speculated that Ice Spice was taking shots at Latto on “Think U the Shit (Fart),” and Latto herself may have played into the narrative when she posted on X, “Think I’m the shit , bitch ?????”

Ice Spice, in an interview with Rolling Stone, later discussed the apparently feud. “I feel like if we ever spoke and I asked her ‘What’s the issue?’ it’d be like a blank stare. It’d really be no issue whatsoever. Especially from me,” she said. “I can understand a friendly competition, but I just feel like at this point it’s a joke that she’s just dragged out, and it’s just not even funny. Like, bro, ‘Think U the Shit’ is from January. You’re going to post a piece of shit cake to announce something that’s good news for you? But it is kind of a compliment because you’re taking something that’s supposed to be a fun moment for you and you’re making it about me… again.”

Watch Fred Durst confront Instagram drummer for “leaking” new Limp Bizkit song

by jummy84 September 5, 2025
written by jummy84

Limp Bizkit‘s Fred Durst has “confronted” an Instagram drummer for supposedly leaking new music from the band on social media.

On Thursday (September 4), a clip was shared to their official account that sees social media star Kristina Rybalchenko playing a beat reminiscent of the band’s ‘Chocolate Starfish and the Hot Dog Flavored Water’ era, featuring lines: “When you’re hot, you’re hot, when you’re not, you’re not.”

The whole thing, however, is soon revealed to be a marketing tactic by the band, as the Los Angeles-based drummer is then interrupted by frontman Fred Durst himself, who pops around the door and says, “Kristina, that’s our new song, it’s not out yet, how did you get that? Please don’t put it on the internet!”

It comes after the band confirmed that they were back in the studio to work on new music last year. Their last album was 2021’s ‘Still Sucks’, itself their first LP in a decade. In a three-star review, NME described it as a “lean and self-aware party-starter of a sixth album” and wrote: “‘Still Sucks’ doesn’t feel laboured or overthought and never overstays its welcome.

“Limp Bizkit aren’t out to rewrite their history or reach a new generation. They don’t care if you still think they suck – they still know how to have a good time, and won’t stop rollin’.”

Last month, Limp Bizkit headlined Reading Festival, scoring a four-star review with NME. “There is no mistaking that the energy the band harness during their hour-long set has been meticulously perfected over the years to make this the most quintessential ‘Limp Bizkit show’ possible,” wrote Liberty Dunworth.

“Their set may not have all the bells and whistles of headliners Bring Me The Horizon. But between cheeky interludes of Metallica and Pantera classics, a surprisingly heartfelt cover of The Who’s ‘Behind Blue Eyes’, and inviting a young one fan to rip through a ‘Full Nelson’ duet, this is still one of the most engaging sets of the night.

Elsewhere, Durst’s ex-wife Kseniya Beryazina put her dress from the former couple’s
wedding up for auction earlier this month.
