Oasis’ Paul Arthurs Steps Away From Tour For Cancer Treatment

by jummy84 October 4, 2025

An Oasis founding member is stepping away from the band’s highly-anticipated reunion tour following a prostate cancer diagnosis.

On Friday, guitarist Paul ‘Bonehead’ Arthurs shared his health news on Instagram, announcing his temporary departure from the Oasis Live ’25 World Tour, which kicked off on July 4 in Cardiff, Wales.

“Early this year I was diagnosed with prostate cancer,” he shared in his post. “The good news is I’m responding really well to treatment, which meant I could be part of this incredible tour. Now, I am having to take a planned break for the next phase of my care, so I’ll be missing the gigs in Seoul, Tokyo, Melbourne and Sydney.”

Arthurs continued, “I’m really sad to be missing these shows but I’m feeling good and will be back ready to go in time for South America. Have an amazing time if you’re going this month and I’ll see you back onstage with the band in November. Bonehead. X”

The band’s next stop after Arthurs’ break will be in Buenos Aires, Argentina on Nov. 15 and 16.

Following reports of an Oasis reunion tour, Liam Gallagher confirmed the news last August that he and brother Noel were reuniting, after their long-held sibling rivalry resulted in the latter leaving the group mid-tour in 2009.

“It is with some sadness and great relief…I quit Oasis tonight,” Noel wrote in a statement at the time. “People will write and say what they like, but I simply could not go on working with Liam a day longer.”

Bonehead to take “planned break” from Oasis reunion tour as he shares cancer diagnosis

Paul “Bonehead” Arthurs has announced that he’ll be taking a “planned break” from Oasis‘ Live ’25 reunion tour to continue his cancer treatment, after sharing news of his recent diagnosis.

The guitarist was given the all-clear from tonsil cancer back in 2022, but has now shared that he was diagnosed with prostate cancer earlier this year, and will be sitting out the band’s upcoming dates in Asia and Australia before rejoining them in South America so that he can have “the next phase of care”.

“Early this year I was diagnosed with prostate cancer,” said Bonehead in a statement. “The good news is I’m responding really well to treatment, which meant I could be part of this incredible tour. Now, I am having to take a planned break for the next phase of my care, so l’ll be missing the gigs in Seoul, Tokyo, Melbourne and Sydney.

“I’m really sad to be missing these shows but l’m feeling good and will be back ready to go in time for South America. Have an amazing time if you’re going this month and I’ll see you back onstage with the band in November.”

Oasis then shared the news along with their support, adding: “Wishing you all the best with your treatment, Bonehead – we’ll see back on stage in South America.”

Arthurs, the original and founding guitarist for Oasis before his exit in 1999, and later regularly playing with Liam Gallagher‘s solo band, has been commended for his role in the current reunion line-up for adding real heft and power to the sound.

Paying tribute to Bonehead on stage earlier this summer, Noel Gallagher said that he was responsible for Oasis’ return – telling the crowd in Cardiff: “If it wasn’t for him, none of this would have happened.”

Back in March, NME revealed that Paul “Bonehead” Arthurs would be part of the Oasis reunion, alongside Gem Archer, Andy Bell and Joey Waronker. Arthurs played with the band on their first three albums, before departing during the recording of ‘Standing On The Shoulder Of Giants’ (2000).

Oasis played their last scheduled UK dates at the weekend with two closing nights at Wembley Stadium, with Liam seemingly teasing the crowd about more shows to come. “See you next year,” he said. Yesterday (October 2) saw the band’s website crash due to demand after DJ Chris Evans told his radio listeners of “big news for 2026” coming that day, but it failed to materialise.

Fans have speculated that Oasis may celebrate the 30th anniversaries of their legendary Maine Road and Knebworth gigs by playing Etihad Stadium and Knebworth next year. However, no concerts have been confirmed yet – currently, the band have 13 dates remaining across Asia, Australia and South America.

The band also have a reunion film in the works, produced by Peaky Blinders creator Steven Knight, alongside an ‘OASIS LIVE ’25 OPUS’ book featuring their reunion shoot and live tour photos.

Meanwhile, their 30th anniversary reissue of their seminal album ‘(What’s The Story) Morning Glory?’ was released today via Big Brother Recordings.

Nicki Minaj Accuses Industry Of Using ‘Barney B’ For ‘Rage Bait’ To Distract From Her Charting Albums & Sold-Out Tour

Nicki Minaj is calling out what she believes is a calculated attempt to discredit her success by using “Barney B” to stir controversy.

“Sweetheart, the general public just sold out my tour,” Nicki wrote on social media, slamming critics as “bots & PAID FOR OPINIONS.” She suggested the industry is intentionally downplaying her achievements because it “costs them money. Maybe even their freedom.”

Nicki also claimed she currently has five albums charting and accused her rivals of being “livid” over her wins.

“They’ve simply been paid to act like they don’t see it,” she said, warning fans that her haters are afraid of her dominance.

“They’re using Barney B to rage bait so they can get a song of hers off the ground from that flop album,” she added. “Hope that helps. Love u.”

While she didn’t say any names, “Barney B” is the name she has been using to refer to Cardi B?

Do y’all think the beef will end soon?

NSYNC ‘weighing reunion tour to mark 30th anniversary without Justin Timberlake’

NSYNC are reportedly weighing a reunion tour to mark their 30th anniversary without Justin Timberlake. Singers Lance Bass, Joey Fatone, JC Chasez and Chris Kirkpatrick are said to have been in talks about returning to the stage as a four-piece.

NSYNC are reportedly weighing a reunion tour to mark their 30th anniversary without Justin Timberlake

Sources told TMZ the group are exploring “the possibility of an arena tour without” Justin, 44, who has reportedly not engaged in discussions despite interest from major concert promoters.

One insider told the outlet: “The guys know the appetite is there for a reunion and that fans are ready for it, even if Justin isn’t involved.”

The update follows years of speculation about a comeback for the chart-topping group, who dominated pop music at the turn of the millennium with hits such as It’s Gonna Be Me, Tearin’ Up My Heart, Bye Bye Bye and I Want You Back.

The band last toured in 2002 before splitting, with Timberlake pursuing a hugely successful solo career.

Sources added promoters AEG and Live Nation had previously approached the members about staging concerts in 2026.

Talks are said to have started before Justin’s battle with Lyme disease became public.

Promoters reportedly believe the remaining members could fill arenas in major markets, with the potential for even bigger shows should Timberlake decide to rejoin.

The band teased fans in 2023 when they reunited for the first time in two decades, releasing Better Place, a promotional track for Justin’s animated film Trolls Band Together.

That same year, they appeared on stage together at the MTV Video Music Awards, presenting Taylor Swift with the award for Best Pop for her song Anti-Hero.

Lance Bass added more intrigue last year during an appearance on Bravo’s Watch What Happens Live, when he discussed tensions leading up to the group’s split.

He claimed Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs, who opened for NSYNC on their 2002 Celebrity tour, encouraged Timberlake to abandon the group for a solo career.

Lance said: “I never kind of liked him because, I’ll say this, I overheard him talking to Justin being like, ‘You need to drop these effers, you need to go solo’.

“I was like, ‘I don’t like you anymore, Diddy’. I’m like, ‘At my own show? What the hell!’

“So I never liked him.”

Nine Inch Nails will reprise their dazzling Peel It Back tour in U.S. arenas next year, beginning Feb. 5 in New Orleans and concluding March 16 in Sacramento, Ca.

The opening act will again be electronic musician Boys Noize, who also performed during portions of Nine Inch Nails’ sets at the recent shows. The two acts will stage a one-off performance at the 2026 edition of the Coachella festival, billed as Nine Inch Noize.

Tickets for the new shows go on sale Oct. 8. Nine Inch Nails will presumably continue to feature material from their soundtrack to the upcoming film Tron: Ares, which just debuted at No. 5 on the Billboard 200 and No. 1 on the Top Dance Albums chart.

Peel It Back was met with near universal acclaim for its next-level lighting and production, with the Dallas Observer hailing it as “a visual masterpiece” and The Times describing it as “a revelation — a thrilling onslaught that combined angst, sincerity and a nightmarish otherworldliness.” The tour has sold more than 450,000 tickets, according to promoter Live Nation.

Reznor and bandmate Atticus Ross Ross are also hosting the first Future Ruins festival, which will be held Nov. 8 at the Los Angeles Equestrian Center and feature performances by acclaimed film and TV music colleagues such as John Carpenter (Halloween, They Live, The Thing), Kyle Dixon and Michael Stein (Stranger Things, Lost in the Night), Devo’s Mark Mothersbaugh (The Life Aquatic, The Royal Tenenbaums, Rushmore) and Questlove presenting the score works of Curtis Mayfield.

Cat Stevens Scraps North American Book Tour

by jummy84 September 30, 2025
written by jummy84

Yusuf/Cat Stevens has canceled a North American book tour in support of his memoir Cat on the Road to Findout due to visa issues. The events were to feature conversations and stripped-down performances and were set to begin Thursday (Oct. 2) in Philadelphia.

“Waiting months for visa approvals, we held out as long as we could,” says the artist. “However, at this point, the production logistics necessary for my show cannot be arranged in time. I am really upset! Not least for my fans who have bought tickets and made travel plans to see me perform.”

“North American audiences may still get a chance to see the tour if visa approvals eventually come through,” he continues. “Those dates would be some time away because of other travel tour plans but, hopefully, fans will be able to hop on the Peace Train route at some time in the future.” No details were provided regarding the nature of the visa difficulties.

Cat on the Road to Findout was just released in the U.K. and will be out in North America on Oct. 7 through Genesis Publications.

After a decade of massive success thanks to such generation-defining songs as “Father and Son,” “Wild World,” “Morning Has Broken,” “The First Cut Is the Deepest” and “Peace Train,” Stevens walked away from music in 1978 and converted to Islam, after which he adopted the name Yusuf Islam and focused his efforts on philanthropy and humanitarian relief. He did not regularly record or perform in his prior style until the early 2000s. Since then, he has been active in the studio and on the road.

“Tour delays should not affect the book, which you’ll still be able to enjoy,” he says. “The obvious benefit of it being, books don’t need visas!”

XngHan on U.S. Fansign Tour & Exclusive Photos

by jummy84 September 30, 2025
written by jummy84

XngHan is nervously fidgeting with small rubber bands.

The singer and former member of K-pop boy group RIIZE arranges the ripped-up pieces of one into a smiley face: two straight eyes, a nose and dopey grin. Then, giving it an elastic halo, he points out the display to his manager like a kid seeking approval from a parent, laughing, before snapping back into business mode. For the better part of the past hour, the team has been sleepily standing by in an L.A. dance studio while students in the adjoining space pick up the choreography from his recently released solo debut, “Waste No Time” — an experience he’s going to cap by making a surprise cameo.

This U.S. trip, which consists of three “fan sign” events in New York, Dallas and Los Angeles, is about as far out of the soft-spoken 21-year-old’s comfort zone as it gets. After chatting one-on-one and signing albums during the meet-ups, he models for “photo time,” where fans seated inside the hotel ballroom yell out a string of hand-heart and cat-ear pose requests. (“It’s a pretty awkward time for him, but it’s pretty entertaining for us,” one of his reps quips.) Yet the overall tone is one of celebration, the lightness of coming out the other end of something.

“Seeing them in person is what made me happy,” XngHan (born Hong Seunghan) tells Billboard a couple of days later in early September. “I’m really shy, so I’d always [thought I] preferred talking to our fans online.” Back home, he’s used to playing the shrinking violet, he explains, “But here, I noticed our fans were even shyer than me. It really seemed like they wanted to say something, but they were so nervous that they weren’t able to say what they wanted to say.”

For good reason, emotions ran high. When XngHan was put on indefinite hiatus in 2o23, with his future as a K-pop idol basically becoming a giant question mark, fans in the West were particularly vocal supporters for his reinstatement, remaining relentlessly by his side. Even now, around the corner from the fan sign, the pink wall of SM Entertainment’s old Koreatown office has been plastered with uplifting messages directed at XngHan. (By the end of the month, a rainbow of sticky notes also went up near the company’s main HQ in Seoul; he left an individual reply to each and every one.)

“I received a lot of energy from the fans,” he reflects on the trip’s last day. “They were very sincere, so I thought that I would want to meet them again soon.” Below, the singer recounts highlights from the milestone fan sign tour he’d like to “leave a record of” and shares exclusive polaroids. Watch more moments here.

While the singer is now a soloist, he performs collectively as part of XngHan and Xoul with dancers Jang Yul and Gu Kyohong. They may not have accompanied him to the U.S., but the trio had a chance to travel together to SM Town Live in Tokyo earlier this year. His favorite part of hitting the road with them? “They eat really well,” he laughs. In the pair’s absence, XngHan has been doing the same, sampling the usual suspects in each city: In-N-Out, southern barbecue, pizza (pictured above). When in a new location, “I usually like challenging myself to eat the foods that are there,” he says, though he regrets not making it to BCD, a Korean tofu house in L.A. that serves spicy soup.

  • SeunghanSeunghan

Travelling with a small crew this go-around, XngHan got to be more spontaneous. In New York, he went with the flow, sipping whisky in a West Village jazz bar and snapping photos of pop art at the Whitney. “But I have to say that it was the time I spent in L.A. that really left an impact on me,” he says. “Not only getting to see how people style themselves, but also getting a glimpse of life through their eyes. That free-spirited attitude.” These vibes weren’t only limited to the people he met. “There was a bunny in Dallas, just doing its own thing,” he recalls. “The tiniest, cutest bunny, but it looked so free, you know? Just munching on grass and hopping around.”

  • SeunghanSeunghan

XngHan isn’t really one for crying; while he’s watched The Notebook at least 12 times, he claims to end each viewing with dry eyes. “I’m more so the one who consoles others,” he explains, a disposition that came in handy at the fan signs. “There was someone who told me that I had brought her a lot of comfort when she was going through a tough time in her life,” the singer says. “It really stuck with me because it was the first time [a fan had cried] in-person.” Because his signature mirrors a four-leaf clover, he feels like he’s sending off each person with a good luck charm of their own: “In a way, it’s me saying, ‘Have a great day that makes you smile!’”

  • SeunghanSeunghan

When XngHan became a trainee at SM in seventh grade, “I thought I was going to learn all the K-pop dances,” he says. “But instead they taught me hip-hop choreography.” The dance novice started doing his own “research” on YouTube, which brought him to G-Dragon, the Super Bowl 50 halftime show with Beyoncé and Bruno Mars, and dance videos from Ian Eastwood, who XngHan linked up with while in Los Angeles. Later that same day, when he watched the class of dancers take on his single’s choreography, “It gave me a sense of euphoria,” he says. “I wanted to capture it all in that moment, leave a record of it somewhere to treasure and look back on.”
