“How are we getting there?” “We’re taking Wayne’s car.” Green Day has revealed a teaser trailer for a new film titled New Years Rev, a fictional feature film about an up-and-coming rock band that thinks they’re opening for Green Day. It’s produced by Green Day, but not really about them! The film just premiered at the 2025 Toronto Film Festival this week, hence this teaser trailer dropping now to celebrate its unveiling. The flick is titled New Years Rev – a coming-of-age road trip film. The story of three young punks willing to risk it all to follow their dream… A garage rock trio gets the opportunity of a lifetime to open up for a Green Day concert and hit the road across America to make the gig. The only problem is… they didn’t realize it was a prank. Directed by Lee Kirk, the indie film stars Mason Thames, Kylr Coffman, Ryan Foust, along with Jenna Fischer, Angela Kinsey, Fred Armisen, Bobby Lee, Mckenna Grace, Keen Ruffalo, Ignacio Diaz-Silverio, and Sean Gunn. Looks like good fun! Coming-of-age teenage mania on the road.

Wake Up Dead Man: A Knives Out Mystery teaser: The teaser for Netflix’s hit detective franchise’s third instalment is finally here, and Daniel Craig is back as the clever detective Benoit Blanc. The makers dropped the trailer on Monday, giving fans a first look at the third film in Rian Johnson’s popular mystery series.

What is the teaser?

This time, Blanc is faced with what he calls ‘the impossible crime’, the murder of a Catholic priest, played by Josh Brolin, during Mass. The movie promises suspense, drama, and plenty of suspects. Alongside Craig, the cast includes Glenn Close, Cailee Spaeny, Kerry Washington, Mila Kunis, Jeremy Renner, Josh O’Connor, Andrew Scott, and Brolin himself.

The film recently had its world premiere at the Toronto International Film Festival on 6 September. Glenn Close, who also stars in the film, shared her excitement about the project when speaking to PEOPLE earlier in August 2024, calling it “one of the best experiences of my life.”

About the film

Daniel Craig also sports a new look for this film, with longer hair and a three-piece suit. This marks a fresh style for Benoit Blanc compared to his previous appearances in Knives Out (2019) and Glass Onion (2022).

Wake Up Dead Man will open in select theatres on 26 November before streaming on Netflix from 12 December.

“It is time to discover what this flock of wicked wolves is hiding…” Netflix has finally unveiled the gorgeous first teaser for Rian Johnson’s next whodunit mystery titled Wake Up Dead Man, also known as Wake Up Dead Man: A Knives Out Mystery. The film just premiered this past weekend screening at the 2025 Toronto Film Festival to rave reviews, as expected, a much darker and more serious thriller this time around. This is Johnson’s follow-up to Knives Out (2019) and Glass Onion (2022) continuing with Daniel Craig returning as Benoit Blanc in what is called “his most dangerous case yet.” He’s investigating a murder at a church – the murder is setup in this teaser, described as an “impossible” crime to solve. So it’s a religious horror mystery thriller? How exciting. The lack of an obvious suspect prompts the police chief Geraldine Scott to join forces with renowned detective Benoit Blanc to unravel a mystery that defies all logic… The superb ensemble cast includes Josh O’Connor & Josh Brolin as priests, Glenn Close, Mila Kunis, Jeremy Renner, Kerry Washington, Andrew Scott, Cailee Spaeny, with Daryl McCormack, and Thomas Haden Church. Couldn’t be a more exciting cast than this, can there? I’m all for this – looks like it might be the best one yet.

This festival promo is to help build sales buzz for the film, the latest from Argentinian director Gastón Solnicki, set inside an iconic hotel located in Vienna, Austria. Lucius Glantz is the longtime manager of Vienna’s iconic InterContinental Hotel, whose life spirals into absurd paranoia when he learns the property is being sold to an Argentine developer with plans to demolish it. As Lucius wages a quiet but obsessive vendetta against the new owner, his unraveling begins to infect the world around him—the hotel’s pipes clog, clocks spin out of sync, and his once-perfect soufflés mysteriously refuse to rise. With the help of his daughter and a handful of loyal employees, he clings to the life he’s built. This stars Willem Dafoe, with Lilly Lindner, Stephanie Argerich, Gastón Solnicki, Imona Mirrakhimova, Claus Philipp, Camille Clair. Seems like it might be a good film – take a look.

Green Day have unveiled the teaser trailer for New Years Rev, their coming-of-age comedy film based on their early days as road-tested young punks. Now grab the popcorn and the guyliner!

New Years Rev sees a young and hungry punk band (played by Mason Thames, Kylr Coffman, and Ryan Foust) hit the road for California after they mistakenly believe they’ve landed the gig of a lifetime opening for Green Day’s New Year’s Eve concert in Los Angeles. What follows on their road trip out West promises to be “rowdy, mischievous, and full of adventure” as the upstarts learn the ins and outs of the true rock star life.

In the 55-second teaser (featuring Green Day’s “Holiday” as the soundtrack), we see the boys hatch their plan, run afoul of a nasty tow truck driver, play their own show seemingly at a skate park, and even catch Green Day on stage. So far it’s a little like Almost Famous meets Get Him to the Greek (without all that needless Russell Brand showing up), and this one could be a neat little celebration of the snark and spirit Green Day maintain even to this very day. “3, 6, 9, the goose drank wine!” Mubi has revealed the first look teaser trailer for the film Die My Love, the highly anticipated new film from acclaimed Scottish filmmaker Lynne Ramsay. Her first new feature film project since rocking the cinema world with You Were Never Really Here back in 2017. Die My Love first premiered at the 2025 Cannes Film Festival a few months ago to mostly mixed & negative reviews. Too loud, too crazy, doesn’t amount too much. But worth a look if you want something extra wild… In a remote forgotten rural area, a mother struggles to maintain her sanity as she battles with psychosis. Die My Love is Ramsay’s blistering depiction of a woman engulfed by love and madness, featuring stunning performances from Jennifer Lawrence and Robert Pattinson as a married couple dealing with life and a new baby. The cast also includes LaKeith Stanfield, Nick Nolte, and Sissy Spacek. It’s adapted from the book by Ariana Harwicz. With cinematography by Seamus McGarvey. I am a big fan of Lynne Ramsay, alas I am not a fan of this film. Did not care for it much… Opens in theaters in November if anyone is into it anyway.

This animated adaptation is ready to hit theaters nationwide at the end of October just in time for Halloween this fall. From director Steve Hudson, the story follows Stitch Head, a small creature awoken by a Mad Professor in a castle to protect the professor’s other creations from the people of Grubbers Nubbin. Featuring tons of other fun monsters, too. “Stitch Head was the first creation to be born—and the first to be forgotten..” A whimsical, heartfelt twist on the Frankenstein legend, Stitch Head is a comedy adventure for monsters of every age. From Norwegian director Joachim Rønning, this spectacular sci-fi tech movie follows highly sophisticated Program Ares, who’s sent from the digital world into the real world on a dangerous mission, marking humankind’s first real encounter with A.I. beings. Greta Lee plays Eve Kim, the human lead in this – a tech genius, analytical and observant. She’s one of the world’s best programmers: reclusive, anti social, and an important renegade in stopping the rogue programs. Tron: Ares stars Jared Leto, Evan Peters as Julian Dillinger, Jodie Turner-Smith, Cameron Monaghan, Sarah Desjardins, Hasan Minhaj, Arturo Castro, Gillian Anderson, + Jeff Bridges back as the OG Kevin Flynn. ‘Jujutsu Kaisen’ Season 3 Sets Premiere Date, Unveils Teaser

The third season of “Jujutsu Kaisen” will premiere in January 2026, Crunchyroll revealed during a live-streamed fifth anniversary special for the Crunchyroll Anime Award-winning series.

Crunchyroll will stream the new season exclusively worldwide, excluding Asia, with episodes dropping weekly on the same day as their Japanese broadcast. The upcoming season, also referred to as “Jujutsu Kaisen The Culling Game,” will adapt the manga arc of the same name.

The first teaser trailer showcases protagonist Yuji Itadori grappling with conflict and despair after believing he killed numerous people during the “Shibuya Incident.” The preview also features an intense battle between Yuji and Yuta Okkotsu, the main character from the prequel film “Jujutsu Kaisen 0,” along with a heated confrontation between new character Naoya Zen’in and Choso. Brief appearances by Megumi Fushiguro, Yuki Tsukumo and Maki Zen’in round out the teaser.

MAPPA returns as the animation studio, with Shota Goshozono directing and Hiroshi Seko handling series composition and script writing. Yosuke Yajima and Hiromi Niwa will provide character designs.

The Japanese voice cast includes Junya Enoki as Yuji Itadori, Yuma Uchida as Megumi Fushiguro, Daisuke Namikawa as Choso and Megumi Ogata as Yuta Okkotsu.

Based on Gege Akutami’s manga, “Jujutsu Kaisen” has sold over 100 million copies worldwide. The manga concluded its run in Weekly Shonen Jump in September 2024. The first anime season aired from October 2020 to March 2021, followed by a second season covering the Hidden Inventory/Premature Death and Shibuya Incident arcs from July to December 2023.

The series earned Anime of the Year honors at the Crunchyroll Anime Awards in both 2021 and 2024. The theatrical film “Jujutsu Kaisen 0” won Best Anime Film at the 2023 Crunchyroll Anime Awards and grossed approximately $180 million at the global box office.

The anime is produced by Toho Animation, with Viz Media publishing the manga in the U.S.
