The makers of Vrusshabha, starring Mohanlal, have dropped a teaser that sets the tone for an ambitious saga. Directed by Nanda Kishore, the film is set to release theatrically on October 16, coinciding with the Diwali festival.
The teaser hints at a narrative that cuts across two timelines, one rooted in the present day and another in a grand historical setting. Mohanlal takes centre stage in the period sequences, where he appears as a king, donning regal armour and exuding authority amid breathtaking visuals.
Star Cast, Crew and Creative Team Behind the Vision
Alongside Mohanlal, the film features Samarjit Lankesh, Ragini Dwivedi, Roshan Meka, Shanaya Kapoor, Zara Khan, and Srikanth Meka in key roles.
Vrusshabha is produced by Shobha Kapoor, Ektaa R Kapoor, C.K. Padma Kumar, Varun Mathur, Saurabh Mishra, Abishek S Vyas, Praveer Singh, Vishal Gurnani, and Juhi Parekh Mehta. The project is presented by Connekkt Media and Balaji Telefilms in association with Abishek S Vyas Studios.

BET has set the premiere date for its new original series, 106 & Sports, a reimagining of the legendary 106 & Park brand.
Produced by Fulwell Entertainment’s SpringHill and hosted by Cam Newton and Ashley Nicole Moss, 106 & Sports premieres on Wednesday, October 15, on BET with episodes streaming the following day on BET+.
The network describes the series as a “fresh countdown highlighting sports, music, and entertainment like never before,” calling it the “definitive home for culturally-driven sports commentary.”
“When I think about ‘106 & Park,’ I remember how it was a voice for the culture. It gave artists and fans a place to connect. Now, we’re doing the same thing for sports,” Newton said in a statement. “’106 & Sports’ is where you’ll get the real talk, the authentic insights, and the kind of conversations you won’t find anywhere else. I’m excited to team up with Ashley and BET to build something special, something that honors that legacy while creating a new one.”
Moss added, “I know how much this iconic brand means to so many people, including myself. I want everyone to know how much of an honor it is to be part of this amazing culture, and my goal is to resonate that with every show. My hope is for people to feel a connection with ‘106 & Sports’ in the same way they did with ‘106 & Park.’”
Tiffany Lea Williams, Executive Vice President of Unscripted Programming and Development at BET Media Group, considers the series to be an “exciting evolution of BET’s legacy” as it reimagines “the cultural heartbeat of ‘106 & Park’ through the lens of sports.”

“You have to create a new mankind… all we have is you.” Netflix has unveiled a first look teaser trailer for The Great Flood, a new disaster movie from Korea about a massive flood destroying the world. This one is premiering at the 2025 Busan Film Festival later this week, which is why this teaser has launched now. On what may be the last day on Earth, a life-or-death struggle in a flooded apartment becomes humanity’s one & only hope for survival. When a raging flood traps a researcher & her young son, a call to a crucial mission puts their escape—and the future of humanity—on the line. The Great Flood is a sci-fi disaster blockbuster film following those holding onto the last shred of hope for humanity to survive in a flooded building on the last day on Earth. Starring Kim Da-mi and Park Hae-soo. There’s also some kind of Artificial Intelligence subplot to this, but it’s hard to discern if that’s because they need her to store all of humanity’s data on some servers somewhere in a safe bunker. Intense! The massive waves remind me of the disaster movie 2012 – we haven’t seen anything like this in a while. I’ll be watching when it’s out later this year! Check out the footage.

“Whatchu think – you can just do whatever you want now?!” Blue Finch Films has unveiled the first look teaser trailer for a scary, unsettling new horror film playing at genre festivals this year. From director Rod Blackhurst (of Blood for Dust), Dolly is a freaky horror film about a “monstrous figure” that is screening at both Fantastic Fest & the Sitges Film Festival this fall. A young woman, Macy, fights for survival after being abducted by a deranged, monster-like figure who wants to raise Macy as their child. A daring blend of New French Extremity and 1970s American horror. This “chilling folk-horor tale” features Fabianne Therese, Seann William Scott, Ethan Suplee, Kate Cobb, and the “transmasc wrestler” Max the Impaler. FF adds this juicy tidbit: “Nothing is ever quite as it seems, except of course for the absolutely goopy practical effects in this lo-fi throwback to the isolated murder families of The Hills Have Eyes and the original Texas Chain Saw Massacre. Director Rod Blackhurst combines his clear inspiration with a uniquely demented point of view, building on his previous work.” Sounds gnarly! And the footage is just as frightening & weird.

While they have little interest in Chase outside of violence, Macy catches their eye and is taken home to become their newest doll. Straight from the Valley of Plenty, The Witcher Season 4 is coming your way. According to a new Netflix teaser, the fantasy drama will return on Thursday, October 30.
The teaser also shows Geralt of Rivia — now played by Liam Hemsworth, taking over for Henry Cavill — luring a wraith into a deadly duel. “With these words, your mortal shell / Shall meet my fate in fiery hell,” he says, summoning the dangerous spirit.
In a flash, the wraith emerges and knocks Geralt to the ground, but it’s not long before our White Wolf gets the upper hand…
As for the rest of Season 4’s action, Netflix has this to say: “After the Continent-altering events of Season 3, Geralt, Yennefer [Anya Chalotra], and Ciri [Freya Allan] find themselves separated by a raging war and countless enemies. As their paths diverge and their goals sharpen, they encounter unexpected allies eager to join their journeys. And if they can accept these found families, they just might have a chance at reuniting for good…”
The Witcher’s fourth and fifth season — which Netflix shot back-to-back — will also finish the TV series. And fans already know that Laurence Fishburne has joined the cast in the role of Regis, a mysterious and world-wise barber-surgeon who joins Geralt on his journey.
Other Season 4 cast members include Joey Batey (Jaskier), Eamon Farren (Cahir), Anna Shaffer (Triss Merigold), Mimî M Khayisa (Fringilla), Mahesh Jadu (Vilgefortz), Graham McTavish (Dijkstra), Royce Pierreson (Istredd), Sharlto Copley (Leo Bonhart), Hugh Skinner (Radovid), James Purefoy (Skellen), and Ben Radcliffe (Giselher).

Telusu Kada teaser hints a triangular love story is in the offing! It shows how Siddhu’s character navigates through a complicated relationship with the leading ladies Raashii Khanna and Srinidhi Shetty. And the tagline, ‘Love U2’ reinforces the premise. The film is a journey of love, loss, and everything in between. Siddhu Jonnalagadda appears in a charming new avatar, a complete departure from his claim-to-fame DJ Tillu role. He is caught between two beautiful women. While the intimate and romantic moments of Raashii and Srinidhi with Siddhu promises an intensely driven love story, Viva Harsha provides the comedic relief, as Siddhu’s best buddy. On the whole, the teaser builds intrigue and promises a youthful and emotional romantic drama with a fresh take on a love triangle.
hile Neeraja never imagined herself to be a filmmaker, she reveals that it was actor Nani who first saw the directorial spark in her and persuaded her to write. “What started as a hobby slowly turned into a serious pursuit, and my love for poetry made me write frequently. After I completed writing the first draft of the script I gave it to Nani. He believed the script had box office potential and asked me to further fine-tune it.” Being a new-age and an emotional love story, actor Nithiin suggested Neeraja Siddhu Jonnalagadda’s name for the lead actor. Siddhu liked the quirkiness of the concept and agreed to come on board. Telusu Kada is set for release on October 17, 2025.

“You have 30 minutes to get out of that house.” Netflix has revealed a first look teaser trailer for The Rip, the latest action thriller creation from director Joe Carnahan – who also had another movie out earlier this year called Shadow Force. This time he’s teaming up with Ben Affleck & Matt Damon, starring together in another movie as pals once again. Though they get into deep trouble here – between the criminals and cops. Upon discovering millions in cash in a derelict stash house, trust among a team of Miami cops begins to fray. As outside forces learn about the size of the seizure, everything is called into question — including who they can rely on. Carnahan says it’s a story acting as an extension of the “cop film genre”, adding that: “with a real-life component, a very emotional core, and a key question that gets posed throughout the film: Are we the good guys?” Damon & Affleck co-star, along with Steven Yeun, Teyana Taylor, Sasha Calle, Catalina Sandino Moreno, Scott Adkins, and Kyle Chandler. Great cast, interesting concept, let’s see what Carnahan has been cooking up for this January Netflix debut! So far so good, looks legit – check it out.

“A dark chapter that should never be forgotten…” Well Go USA has revealed a chilling first look teaser for a Chinese film titled 731, also known as Evil Unbound telling the shocking true story of the awful Japanese Unit 731 at the end of WWII in China. Yet another new film from China about how horrible the Japanese Army was – which makes me worried they’re trying to get Chinese people to hate Japanese again. Which is not okay. Set against the backdrop of the bacterial experiments conducted by the Japanese Imperial Army’s Unit 731 in Northeast China, and reveals the crimes of Unit 731 through the turbulent fate of an ordinary individual. Based on true events during WWII in Northeast China, an ordinary man is thrust into a horrible fate during the inhumane experiments conducted by the Japanese’s notorious Unit 731. Starring Wu Jiang, Zhiwen Wang, Naiwen Li, Qian Sun, and Ziye Lin. This packs in quite a bit of unsettling footage in only 15 seconds! This is a seriously effective teaser. This looks terrifying! The story of the Japanese Army’s Unit 731 in Harbin’s Pingfang District on the eve of victory in the War of Resistance in 1945. Under the guise of “water supply & epidemic prevention,” this nefarious unit carried out bacteriological warfare research and slaughtered civilians through human experimentation, exposing many crimes against humanity. Through the tragic ordeal of innocent civilians such as street vendor Wang Yongzhang—who were deceived, captured, imprisoned, and reduced to inhumane subjects of live experiments, the film depicts the suffering, awakening, and indomitable resistance of ordinary people in the torrent of war. 731, also with the English title Evil Unbound, and titled 731: 生化启示录 or 疯狂731 in Mandarin, is written and directed by Chinese filmmaker Linshan Zhao, director of the film The Assassins with Chow Yun-Fat previously, though not much else since then. It’s produced by Hong Wang, Zhuang Yan, and Wang Zhang. Well Go USA will release Linshan Zhao’s 731 film in select US theaters at the exact same time as it opens in China – starting on September 19th, 2025 coming soon. Anyone curious to watch this?
