Ladakh Beckons: Salman Khan’s Battle Of Galwan Team To Shoot Key Sequences In Stunning Locations | Glamsham.com

Salman Khan is back in action, quite literally, with his upcoming film Battle of Galwan, based on the real-life 2020 border clash between Indian and Chinese troops. The project has already generated massive buzz, especially with Salman’s rugged, battle-hardened look revealed in the film’s motion poster. Sporting a bloodied uniform, a fierce moustache, and a look of raw patriotism, Salman’s transformation has become the talk of the town.

High-Stakes Climax to Be Shot First

According to India Today, the production team is prioritizing the film’s emotionally and visually powerful climax scenes early in the shoot. A source said, “Galwan’s climax is among the most important parts of the film. Given Leh and Ladakh’s unpredictable weather, the makers want to ensure the quality isn’t compromised.” These sequences are being filmed on location in the harsh terrains of Ladakh, adding authenticity and intensity to the war drama.

A True Story of Bravery and Sacrifice

Battle of Galwan is inspired by the deadly clash in June 2020, when Indian and Chinese forces engaged in a brutal hand-to-hand battle in the Galwan Valley. Despite agreements banning firearms, the conflict marked the most violent border skirmish in over four decades.

The film stars Salman Khan opposite Chitrangda Singh and features an ensemble cast including Zeyn Shaw, Ankur Bhatia, Harshil Shah, Heera Sohall, Abhilash Chaudhary, and Vipin Bhardwaj.

Salman Opens Up About Physical Challenges

Salman recently revealed how demanding the film has been physically. “Every year it gets tougher. This film requires intense training—running, kicking, punching—especially in Ladakh’s high altitudes and freezing conditions,” he shared. He compared it to his previous film Sikandar, calling Battle of Galwan “far more physically difficult.”

Fans and celebrities alike are hailing this film as Salman’s much-needed comeback.

Disney+ & Spain’s Atresmedia Team For Streaming Pact

by jummy84 September 8, 2025
written by jummy84

Disney has continued its strategy of teaming with European broadcasters through a deal with Spanish network Atresmedia.

Through an agreement billed as “the first major integration between a global streaming platform and Spain‘s leading broadcaster,” Disney+ will carry more than 300 hours of Spanish-produced Atresmedia programing annually in a branded section.

Starting this month, Disney+ subscribers in Spain will be able to access shows such as La Voz, Tu Cara Me Suena, Vis a Vis and Mar Afuera. Content will be “regularly updated,” according to the companies.

This comes after Disney struck similar carriage agreements in the UK, with commercial network ITV, and Germany, with public broadcaster ZDF. There have been various similar streamer-broadcaster partnerships struck in 2025, with Netflix’s agreement to carry the live channels and on-demand content from France’s TF1 starting 2026 arguably the most eye-catching.

“This pioneering and unprecedented agreement with Disney+, one of the largest international streaming platforms, consolidates the leadership of Atresmedia and atresplayer, reaffirming the success of their innovative content strategy,” said Atresmedia CEO Javier Bardají. “It allows us to expand the reach of our productions, promoting Spanish talent and culture. Disney and Atresmedia share the quality and ambition of their content, as well as the care of their brands. It was only logical that we would meet.”

The agreement will see Disney+ gaining co-exclusive rights to a number of Atresmedia productions. Atresplayer original Mar Afuera will premiere on September 14, with others such as La Voz and Tu Cara Me Suena following, and Antena 3 linear shows such as La Encrucijada and Sueños de Libertad will be offered, along with legacy titles such as Vis a Vis, Física o Química, and Aquí No Hay Quien Viva.

We hear the SVOD originals will be released day-and-date, while the likes of La Voz, Spain’s version of The Voice, made available on Disney+ one day after their linear broadcasts. Some long-running novelas will be made available on Disney+ either next day or within a month of airing on Atresmedia’s free-to-air channels.

“This commitment has been part of our model and philosophy for decades and has allowed us to achieve international successes such as Gran Hotel, La Casa de Papel, Velvet, El Tiempo Entre Costuras, Vis a Vis, Veneno, Alba or Entre Tierras, which have left their mark and paved the way for the rest of the sector,” said Bardají. That is why this alliance also strengthens Atresmedia as the engine and benchmark of our industry and confirms atresplayer as the leading Spanish platform and local hero in our country, with a trajectory of continuous growth.”

Karl Holmes, General Manager for Disney+, EMEA added: “Atresmedia consistently delivers popular, must-watch Spanish content including some of the country’s finest original productions. Adding hundreds of hours of Atresmedia shows to stream on Disney+ is great news for our customers in Spain. This deal also reflects our broader commitment to supporting local broadcasters across Europe, including our recent collaboration in the UK with ITVX and ZDF in Germany.

“We’re focused on bringing the very best, local stories to our customers, alongside our extraordinary slate of original Disney+ series such as recent hit Ladrones: La Tiara de Santa Agueda and global hit movies and shows like Lilo & Stitch and FX’s The Bear.

DEADPOOL’S DOOMSDAY Dilemma!” – Ryan Reynolds’ Character Won’t Be Joining The Avengers Team! | Glamsham.com

by jummy84 September 6, 2025
written by jummy84

Rumours of Deadpool joining the Avengers reached a fever pitch after actor Ryan Reynolds shared a cryptic Instagram post last month. The doodle of a red “A” over the Avengers logo, along with chatter about a supposed feud with Robert Downey Jr.—who is set to return as the villainous Doctor Doom—had fans convinced Reynolds’ foul-mouthed anti-hero was headed to the MCU’s next big team-up film, Avengers: Doomsday.

Reynolds Responds at TIFF 2025

The speculation was finally addressed at the Toronto International Film Festival 2025, where Reynolds was promoting his documentary John Candy: I Like Me. Asked about Deadpool Easter eggs in the upcoming Avengers film, he laughed and quipped, “There’s four that I’ve got in there. Of course, I’ve written them all at home in my PJs, and nobody’s seen ’em nor have I stepped foot on set.” The actor made it clear—at least for now—that he has not filmed anything for the project.

Deadpool’s MCU Debut and Future

Deadpool officially entered the MCU in 2024 with Deadpool & Wolverine, a record-breaking success that grossed $1.3 billion worldwide, becoming the highest-grossing R-rated film ever. The film also introduced Channing Tatum as Gambit, who is confirmed to return in Avengers: Doomsday. That connection, along with Reynolds’ social media antics, has fueled theories that Deadpool could appear either in Doomsday or its follow-up, Avengers: Secret Wars (2027).

What to Expect from Avengers: Doomsday

Directed by the Russo Brothers, the Phase Six entry boasts a massive ensemble including Chris Hemsworth (Thor), Benedict Cumberbatch (Doctor Strange), Anthony Mackie (Captain America), Tom Hiddleston (Loki), Letitia Wright (Black Panther), Simu Liu (Shang-Chi), Florence Pugh (Yelena Belova) and more. The film will release on December 18, 2026, with Robert Downey Jr. headlining as Doctor Doom.

For now, fans will have to wait and see if Reynolds is simply trolling—or if Deadpool really will crash the Avengers party.

Ahan Shetty And Patrick Graham Team Up! India’s First Horror Film Based On Real-Life Tragedy! | Glamsham.com

by jummy84 September 4, 2025
written by jummy84

Actor Ahan Shetty is stepping into uncharted territory with India’s first horror film inspired by a real-life national tragedy. Produced by Khyati Madaan’s Not Out Entertainment in collaboration with Prashant Gunjalkar, the film is set to go on floors in early 2026. Blending horror, romance, and thriller elements, the project promises a mass entertainer with a powerful emotional core.

Backed by an Acclaimed Writer

The script is penned by Patrick Graham, the mind behind Ghoul and Betaal—the only Indian horror series developed under Blumhouse Television, the global banner behind Get Out, The Purge, and Paranormal Activity. Graham’s track record of creating chilling, high-concept stories has raised anticipation around this project, which aims to redefine horror in Hindi cinema.

Ahan’s Career Shift

Ahan, who made his debut with the romantic drama Tadap, delivered a strong start at the box office. He will next be seen in Border 2, a patriotic spectacle starring Sunny Deol, Diljit Dosanjh, and Varun Dhawan, slated for a Republic Day 2026 release. While Border 2 positions him firmly in the mass-action space, this upcoming horror drama reflects a bold tonal departure, showcasing his willingness to experiment across genres.

Production and Vision

The film’s title and female lead will be revealed soon, but the makers have confirmed it will be a theatrical horror experience, designed to appeal to a wide audience. Khyati Madaan, who has worked with top studios like Red Chillies Entertainment, Disney India, and Maddock Films, launched Not Out Entertainment in 2024 with the mission to revive theatrical Hindi cinema. Her slate already includes Abhootpurva, a romantic horror-comedy, and a slice-of-life drama by National Award-winner Habib Faisal.

National Geographic Doc from Free Solo Team

by jummy84 September 1, 2025
written by jummy84

In many respects, the 2023 Caquetá Cessna Stationair crash feels like a story tailor-made for a National Geographic documentary. It has everything you expect from a movie from the channel: human survival against the elements, plenty of nuanced political and cultural context to dig into, a heart-wrenching backstory to untangle slowly through the film, and lots of breathtaking nature b-roll.

The movie that NatGeo ended up producing about the event, “Lost in the Jungle,” is coming a bit late to the party — Netflix beat them to the punch by about a year with their telling “The Lost Children” — and doesn’t really register as a standout from the company’s portfolio. But the subject matter is compelling enough, and the filmmaking sturdy enough, that it’s an engrossing watch despite its minor flaws.

The Smashing Machine

“Lost in the Jungle” was directed by the now-divorced husband and wife directorial team Elizabeth Chai Vasarhelyi and Jimmy Chin, collaborating on this film with Juan Camilo Cruz. Vasarhelyi and Chin are no strangers to National Geographic, having helmed one of the company’s biggest hits in 2018’s “Free Solo,” a adrenaline-pumped and gravity-defying account of one man’s attempt to scale El Capitan.

Compared to that Oscar-winning production or their other films like “The Rescue” for NatGeo, “Lost in the Jungle” is a bit more meat-and-potatoes in its presentation, stringing together talking heads, darkly lit recreations, and some rare taken footage to recount the 40-day search from authorities to find four children gone missing in the forests of Colombia.

Opening with a (somewhat sluggishly staged) reenactment of the inciting incident, “Lost in the Jungle” lays out the facts of the tragedy quickly. On May 1, 2023, indigenous Witoto woman Magdalena Mucutuy Valencia boarded a charter plane to the town of San José del Guaviare, where she intended to surprise her husband Manuel. In the air over the Amazon rainforest, the plane experienced engine failure, and crashed, killing her, the pilot, and local indigenous leader Herman Mendoza Hernández. The only survivors were Magdalena’s four children, ranging from ages 13 to infancy, who were left stranded and injured in the wilderness with no idea of how to escape.

‘Lost in the Jungle’National Geographic

For those unfamiliar with the incident, there’s (perhaps thankfully) little tension that the kids will be found and rescued. Peppered throughout the film are sections narrated by the eldest daughter Lesly, recounting the animals and dangers the kids encountered during their long period stranded in the forest. In the film’s only real visual flourish, these scenes are animated usually translucent, see-through animations set against b-roll of the real forest. It’s not a wholly successful approach — it has an oddly distancing effect from the realities of their hopeless predicament — but attains moments of real visual beauty.

Elsewhere, “Lost in the Jungle” does the groundwork to get you invested in the tragedy, and thankfully avoids treating Magdalena as a pure afterthought. Flashbacks and interviews with friends and family members slowly paints a portrait of a loving mother and a fun, vibrant woman, as well as the abuse she and her kids suffered at the hands of Manuel, the father of her two youngest and stepdad of Lesly and her brother Soleiny. Manuel himself is featured in interviews, and while the film gives him plenty of space to share his side of the story and his involvement in the rescue campaign, it also never lets his misdeeds off the hook — in one poignant moment, a family member speculates that the sound of their father’s voice might compel the kids to hide from the rescue team.

The real sauce of “Lost in the Jungle” comes from its documentation of the grueling search effort to find the kids, which in reality was two rescue missions: one from a Colombian Special Forces crew that descends upon the rainforest in helicopters looking for the kids, and one from the various indigenous communities of the area who use canoes to roam the rivers and their vast knowledge of the Amazon as a tool for searching. Initially encountering each other in their separate groups, the two parties are distrustful and disdainful of one another, and “Lost in the Jungle” uses this incident to explore a historical divide between the indigenous communities of the Amazon and the Colombian government that dates back to the rubber trade of the 19th century, which resulted in the enslavement and genocide of millions. In modern times, tension between the groups still exist, thanks to guerrilla units that control the territory of many indigenous groups.

As the documentary depicts through footage of the rescue efforts, all of those outside tensions make the two rescue parties reluctant to work together, until the government orders the special forces team to use the indigenous search party’s knowledge of the forest in their favor. Through interviews with members of the special forces team, “Lost in the Jungle” tracks how the military men slowly grew more open to and accepting of their very different counterparts, and how the group’s collaboration eventually proved essential to the success of the mission. And to its credit, “Lost in the Jungle” mostly manages to avoid the trap of portraying indigenous culture purely through the eyes of the white Colombians, giving them plenty of interviews to speak about the spiritual practices they used to aid in the search.

If there’s any issue with “Lost in the Jungle,” it might be that there’s too little of it. At 90 minutes, the film is quick and efficient, but it leaves little time to explore more about the collaboration between these two search parties, or the unsteady relationship between the region’s indigenous communities and the narco-guerrilla units ruling over them. The film ends on a note of hope, explaining where the children have ended up in the years since and culminating in footage of a Colombian official giving a speech about how the search should start a new phase of understanding between the government and the indigenous communities. It’s a somewhat pat, overly rosy broad-strokes ending to a story that’s certainly engaging and well-told, but also had the opportunity to go deeper than itself.

Grade: B-

“Lost in the Jungle” premiered at the 2025 Telluride Film Festival. It will air on National Geographic on Friday, September 12 before streaming on Hulu and Disney+ starting on Saturday, September 13.

Bradley Cooper & Will Arnett Team on Divorce Comedy

by jummy84 August 26, 2025
written by jummy84

Bradley Cooper’s found a sweet spot for himself, writing and directing movies about those who live and die on stage, but his next film looks like it’ll be a little lighter than Maestro. At the very least, Is This Thing On? is about a stand-up comedian, played by Will Arnett, who’s going through a divorce from his wife (Laura Dern) and trying to find the humor in it.

The official description, courtesy of Searchlight Pictures, says that “The film centers on Alex (Will Arnett) as he faces middle age and an impending divorce, seeking new purpose in the New York comedy scene while Tess (Laura Dern) confronts the sacrifices she made for their family — forcing them to navigate co-parenting, identity, and whether love can take a new form.” The new trailer features Arnett’s Alex taking the stage, drawing the audience into his plight by stating the facts about his new living arrangement. In addition to Dern and Arnett, the cast includes Cooper, Andra Day, Amy Sedaris, Sean Hayes, Christine Ebersole, Ciarán Hinds, and Scott Icenogle.

Cooper became a prestige cinema darling with his first film, the A Star Is Born remake that got “Shallow” stuck in our heads for all of 2018, and received heaps of acclaim for his 2023 Leonard Bernstein biopic, Maestro. (He also made a surprise appearance in the Season 4 premiere of The Righteous Gemstones.)

Judge Grants Drake’s Legal Team Access To Review Redacted Contract

by jummy84 August 26, 2025
written by jummy84

A judge has granted Drake‘s legal team permission to review a previously redacted version of Kendrick Lamar‘s recording contract. This win for Drizzy comes a week after he filed a motion in federal court to gain access to the restricted documents. In the initial lawsuit, Drake’s legal team argued that UMG’s redactions made the 22-page agreement “unreadable and incomprehensible.”

A statement from Judge Jeanette Vargas of the US District Court for the Southern District of New York read, “Plaintiff and UMG’s request… for permission to file under seal a contract between UMG Recordings, Inc. and Kendrick Lamar Duckworth, as produced by UMG in redacted form with the designation Attorney’s Eyes Only, is GRANTED.”

She ruled that “UMG has made a sufficient showing that the information that he seeks to seal qualifies as confidential, ‘sensitive business information.’”

The document, though, will remain sealed from the public. Judge Vargas explained this is because “in this instance, the ‘interest in protecting confidential business information outweighs the qualified First Amendment presumption of public access.’”

The document will remain publicly protected because “the Lamar Contract reflects an ‘ongoing contractual relationship’ between UMG’s business partner and Lamar, the Court agrees that sealing the contract would best protect UMG’s ‘business relationships and interests, and the privacy interests of non-parties.’”

The contract in question is the main focal point of Drake’s case against Universal Music Group. He accused UMG of having contractual authority over the “Not Like Us” rapper’s music and intentionally releasing and promoting the aforementioned diss track.

Previous court filings show that Drake was seeking “extensive documentation” from UMG while the label called his complaint a “hundred-plus page ‘legal’ blather” that ignores his own history of songs with “equally provocative taunts against other artists.”

Despite them arguing that Drake initiated the exchange, they wrote, “Drake’s lawyers believe that when Drake willingly participates in a performative rap-battle of music and poetry, he can be ‘defamed’ even though he engages in the exact same form of creative expression. Drake’s lawyers can also keep seeking to ‘uncover’ evidence of wild conspiracies as to why one song that upset Drake had massive global appeal, but there is nothing to ‘uncover.’ Except for this: by working tirelessly in partnership with our artists, we achieve global success for them and their music.”

Yash’s ‘Toxic’ Gets J.J. Perry and All-Indian Stunt Team for Shoot

by jummy84 August 25, 2025
written by jummy84

While most productions would batten down the hatches during Mumbai’s punishing monsoon season, the makers of “Toxic: A Fairytale for Grown-ups” are doing the opposite — leaning into the chaos with what’s being touted as one of Indian cinema’s most audacious action shoots to date.

At the eye of this creative storm is J.J. Perry, the Hollywood action architect behind the bone-crunching choreography of “John Wick” and “Fast & Furious.” The stunt veteran is currently deep into a 45-day action marathon that’s redefining the playbook for Indian cinema spectacle.

But here’s the kicker: Perry, who typically assembles international dream teams of stunt specialists, has gone fully local this time around — handpicking an entirely Indian crew after witnessing their chops firsthand.

“This Indian crew is world-class. That’s precisely why I chose to work with them,” Perry says. “We’re tackling a major sequence right now, and I’m super stoked about taking this on. It’s a challenge, but I love a great challenge — and this team is meeting it head-on. We’re here to push boundaries together — and that’s what filmmaking is.”

J.J. Perry, Yash
KVN Productions/Monster Mind Creations

The high-octane sequence currently in production is the culmination of months of meticulous pre-production ballet between Perry, superstar Yash (who’s also producing), director Geetu Mohandas, VFX house DNEG, and producer Venkat K. Narayana. The Yash-Narayana combine has unlocked the massive war chest needed to mount one of the most Indian ambitious projects in recent memory.

The prep work reads like a masterclass in modern action filmmaking: extensive storyboarding, previz sessions, tactical rehearsals, and creative pow-wows aimed at creating an action language described by the production as “immersive, visceral, and new to Indian cinema.”

“Toxic” is positioning itself as a genre-bending spectacle that marries Perry’s globally-honed sensibilities with Yash’s box office magnetism and Mohandas’ distinctive auteur vision. Yash is white hot after the “K.G.F” franchise as is Mohandas, following Sundance title “Liar’s Dice” and Toronto selection “Moothon.” Yet beneath the pyrotechnics, the filmmakers are gunning for emotional resonance that transcends the visual fireworks.

“In my 35 years of doing this, I’ve worked in 39 countries. I’m a fan of Indian cinema — it’s creative, artistic, and bold,” Perry says. “Getting the chance to work with Yash, Geetu, Venkat and their incredible team has been a highlight. Geetu has great vision, and everyone from cinematographer Rajeev Ravi to the production designer and art team has been fantastic.”

J.J. Perry, Yash. Geetu Mohandas
KVN Productions/Monster Mind Creations

The Mumbai shoot marks another industry first: “Toxic” is being lensed simultaneously in the Kannada and English languages — a bilingual approach that’s rare at this scale — with additional dubbed versions rolling out in Hindi, Telugu, Tamil, and Malayalam. The strategy positions the film not just as a pan-Indian event but as a legitimate global play.

“India’s culture is ancient, rich, and layered. As an American whose culture is only a few hundred years old, coming here and blending global cinematic grammar with Indian storytelling has been very exciting,” Perry notes. “I don’t just want to replicate what’s been done — I want to create something unique. And ‘Toxic’ is giving me that chance.”

Jointly bankrolled by Venkat K. Narayana and Yash under KVN Productions and Monster Mind Creations, “Toxic: A Fairytale for Grown-ups” is targeting a worldwide theatrical rollout on March 19, 2026.
