“Where the children dance to the Pipes of Pan!” Bleecker Street has revealed the first look teaser for another new Spinal Tap movie releasing soon as a follow up to Spinal Tap II. They will also be releasing Vertigo Live & Rob Reiner’s Spinal Tap at Stonehenge: The Final Finale. One more concert before they kick the bucket! The concert-film reunites legendary fictional heavy metal band Spinal Tap (Christopher Guest, Michael McKean, Harry Shearer) for a once-in-a-lifetime performance — the first-ever rock show filmed at Stonehenge, the historic English heritage site tied to their iconic song of the same name. The film features show-stopping guest performances from Shania Twain, Eric Clapton, and Josh Groban and will be released by Bleecker Street in theaters and in IMAX in 2026. Bring on the grand finale Stonehenge performance of a lifetime! Back in September, Bleecker released the long-awaited sequel Spinal Tap II: The End Continues some 41 years after the original mockumentary This Is Spinal Tap rocked the world back in 1984. This looks like an actually crazy fun concert experience. And a radical way to wrap up this 40+ year Spinal Tap legacy.

Here’s the new teaser trailer for the live rock doc Spinal Tap Concert at Stonehenge, from YouTube:

Spinal Tap Tribute Album with Foo Fighters,Tool for Teen Cancer America

Spinal Tap may be a fake band, but its music is very real, and it is being used to raise money for Teen Cancer America, a non-profit founded by The Who’s Roger Daltrey and Pete Townshend that runs cancer programs for teens and young adults ages 15-39.

See latest videos, charts and news

Members of such legendary groups as Guns N’ Roses, Foo Fighters, The Go-Go’s and Tool, among others, appear on The Majesty of Rock, a 32-song collection from the Spinal Tap catalog, including such Tap classics as” Sex Farm,” “(Listen to the) Flower People,” “Hell Hole” and “Big Bottom.” The collection also features a contribution from the Play it Back Players, a band comprised of cancer patients and professional musicians, who donate their time.

In the spirit of Spinal Tap, many of the musicians created fake bands for the project. For example, Vixen’s Britt Lightning formed The Lightning Rods for her contribution. Guns N’ Roses’ Dizzy Reed plays with a group dubbed Jason Achilles, while System of a Down’s John Dolmayan plays with Antenna the End. “Big Bottom” is attributed to the band S.S.R.J.C.T., which is comprised of Mastadon’s Troy Sanders, Failure’s Kellii Scott, Kyuss’s Scott Reeder, Foo Fighters’ Rami Jaffee, Tool’s Justin Chancellor and The Go-Go’s Abby Travis. (The band takes its name from the first initial of each musician’s last name)

Only 5,000 digital copies of the compilation will be available and can be purchased here for a minimum donation of $19.84, a reference to the year This is Spinal Tap was released in 1984.

Journalist and podcaster Marc Shea produced the set, which came about following a conversation on his Performance Anxiety. “Three and a half years later, we have a double album to honor the musical and comedic legacy of Spinal Tap, the band that gave us ‘going to 11’ as well as raising awareness for spontaneous combustion,” he said in a statement. “I can’t thank the contributors or TCA enough for their support.”

“This tribute album is a fun, powerful way to raise crucial funds and awareness for the unique challenges facing this age group,” Shannon Sullivan, executive director of Teen Cancer America, said in a statement. We are incredibly grateful to the brilliant artists who have lent their talents to this project and to the creators of Spinal Tap for allowing us to celebrate their genius for a cause that is so important.”

Spinal Tap Reacts to ‘This Is Spinal Tap’ Documentary, Reuniting: Watch

by jummy84 September 11, 2025
written by jummy84

Spinal Tap members David St. Hubbins (Michael McKean) and Nigel Tufnel (Christopher Guest) sat down with Billboard to discuss reuniting for their final show and letting film director Martin Di Bergi create another documentary following the success of 1984’s This Is Spinal Tap.

Nigel Tufnel: It was a surprise to all of us.  Yeah, it was weird because we hadn’t spoken in 15 years. It felt like it was just yesterday that … because you look and there, everyone’s in the same place.

David St. Hubbins: Pretty much looking the same, more tattoos.

Nigel Tufnel: Except old. Yeah, you see, you think, “Oh, that’s weird, there’s an old man singing.” And you go, “Oh, that’s me.”

David St. Hubbins: He thought that he really took–

Nigel Tufnel: Umbrage?

David St. Hubbins: The unsuccessful things that happened on the tour. That’s what he wanted to go for. He said, “If it bleeds, it leads.” We don’t even know what that means now, but he wanted to go with the bad news. Here’s the bad news, and we felt ridiculed, and it wasn’t a good feeling.

Nigel Tufnel: Us being lost. Everyone gets lost once in a while. It’s only happened to us, what, 10 or 12 times, in many years.

David St. Hubbins: Nothing more together.

Nigel Tufnel: More than 15 times.

David St. Hubbins: Fun times.

Nigel Tufnel: Sometimes going to the stage. And it happens in classical music a lot. You know, you’ve got 80 string players.

David St. Hubbins: Especially the cellists.

Nigel Tufnel: The cellists, they’re always getting lost because–

David St. Hubbins: They’re all walking around like, basically, you know.

Nigel Tufnel: We haven’t seen the new one yet.

Keep watching for more!

“It’s incredibly profound, and it’s really stupid.” Bleecker Street has unveiled a very funny 5-minute rock doc featurette in promotion of Spinal Tap II: The End Continues, the long-awaited, heavy metal legacy sequel, epic reuniting of unforgettable British rock band Spinal Tap. It’s a proper continuation of the 1984 mockumentary classic that is still just as ridiculously funny today – now 41 years later. In this follow-up, the iconic metal band reunite after a 15-year break for one final concert. “The thing that you guys had as kids, is that still there?” The entire cast rock band is back for more mayhem, as they reunite and deal with all their grudges from the past. Spinal Tap II: The End Continues is once again directed by Rob Reiner, with Christopher Guest, Michael McKean, and Harry Shearer reprising their iconic roles as the legendary heavy metal band Spinal Tap. Reiner returns as documentarian Martin “Marty” DiBergi, with cameos from music legends Elton John, Paul McCartney, as well as Questlove, Garth Brooks and Trisha Yearwood, and many others. This video features people like Ben Stiller, Conan O’Brien, Questlove & others discussing how great the OG Spinal Tap movie is and what makes it a timeless all-timer classic. The comedy, the band, the absurdity of it all. Still hilarious 4 decades later… 🎸 Rewatch the original before the sequel arrives soon.

Cancer specialist warns your ‘tea, pakora and even tap water could be cancer traps in monsoon’ | Health

by jummy84 August 25, 2025
written by jummy84

Monsoons don’t just increase your chances of health illnesses and infections, they can also bring cancer risks. Yes, you read that right. In an Instagram post shared on August 24, Dr Tarang Krishna, MD, a cancer specialist, shared how monsoon becomes a cancer trap if you don’t keep in mind a few safety measures.

Monsoon could be a cancer trap?

Sharing the post, captioned, ‘This monsoon, your pakoa, your tea, even your tap water could be cancer traps’, Dr Krishna stressed, “We love the rains. But do we really know what comes with them?” He warned of the harmful effects of eating monsoon fish, floodwater bringing in toxins inside your home, and dampness caused by the rains, and also suggested a few tips that could protect you.

Here’s what the doctor said:

Floodwater

Per the cancer specialist, floodwater brings poison. He explained, “Floods mix sewage, pesticides, plastic waste, and heavy metals. Studies show floodwater in Indian cities contains arsenic, lead, and cadmium – all carcinogens.”

According to Dr Krishna, these seep into:

  • Drinking water: Increasing bladder and stomach cancer risk
  • Soil and crops: Contaminated vegetables carry toxins for months.

Monsoon fish and food chains

The cancer specialist explained, “Monsoon floods wash away industrial pollutants and sewage into rivers. Fish caught in these waters accumulate mercury and PCBs (both linked to cancer). A study in Mumbai markets found over 30 percent of monsoon fish samples exceeded safe heavy metal limits. That ‘fresh monsoon catch’ curry can secretly carry cancer-causing toxins.”

Dampness = Mould factories

After heavy rains, damp walls breed moulds such as Aspergillus flavus, Dr Krishna pointed out. He added, “They release aflatoxins, among the most potent natural carcinogens. The World Health Organisation states that 25-28 percent of liver cancer cases in Asia are linked to aflatoxin exposure, even office ACs and damp homes can spread spores you breathe in.”

Lastly, the cancer specialist warned, “Monsoon safety isn’t just mosquito nets and raincoats. It also includes:

  • Boil and filter water: Avoid untreated borewell /handpump water
  • Check the monsoon fish origin: Stick to trusted sellers
  • Store food dry: Toss out anything damp or mouldy.”

“Hey all you groovy headbangers…” Shut up, sit down, and watch the movie! Alamo Drafthouse has posted a funny “Don’t Talk, Don’t Text” PSA for the upcoming Spinal Tap II: The End Continues movie featuring the old rockers all together. The long-awaited mockumentary rock doc sequel is hitting theaters in September – watch the full trailer here. Drafthouse got the band together to make this video, which plays before the movie to remind people attending the movie of their rules: no talking, no texting, no disturbances or you’ll be kicked out. For real. Still the best policy for all movie theaters nowadays! The entire cast rock band is back for more mayhem 40 years later after the original This is Spinal Tap doc, as they reunite and deal with all their grudges from the past. Spinal Tap II: The End Continues is once again directed by Rob Reiner, with Christopher Guest, Michael McKean, and Harry Shearer reprising their iconic roles as the legendary heavy metal band Spinal Tap. We also posted other Alamo Drafthouse PSA videos featuring John Lithgow & Geoffrey Rush here, and with Kyle Mooney from last year. As cheesy as these videos are to watch, I’m glad they keep making them to remind people how to properly sit & watch movies with no phone.
