Kartik Aaryan and Ananya Panday have officially wrapped up their film Tu Meri Main Tera Main Tera Tu Meri and they celebrated the big milestone with a grand wrap party. The entire cast and crew came together at a buzzing city restaurant, and the night looked like one big celebration of everything they’d achieved over the last couple of months. Kartik and Ananya, who twinned in striking all-black outfits, instantly turned heads as soon as they walked in. From chatting with their team to posing for pictures and joining in the fun, the two made sure the night was filled with energy and laughter.


The most talked-about moment of the evening came when Kartik decided to take the party to the next level. He jumped onto the bar counter and broke into dance, completely owning the moment. Soon after, he called Ananya to join him, and together they recreated Amitabh Bachchan’s iconic Jumma Chumma hook step. With the crowd cheering them on, the two matched steps effortlessly, making it the highlight of the night. Videos from the bash quickly spread online, and fans couldn’t stop talking about their infectious energy, saying it gave them the perfect dose of weekend party vibes.

 

While Ananya looked completely in sync and enjoyed every bit of the moment, Kartik’s playful and high-spirited performance stole most of the attention. Directed by Sameer Vidwans, who previously worked with Kartik on Satyaprem Ki Katha, the film was impressively wrapped up in just 57 days. Kartik later expressed his happiness about the journey in an Instagram post, calling the shoot an unforgettable rollercoaster ride. With Tu Meri Main Tera Main Tera Tu Meri set for a February release next year, the wrap party has already managed to build a strong buzz.

The shade was light, but it definitely landed. While she didn’t go into detail about the procedure, fans are sending love and well-wishes for a smooth recovery. As for ‘Emily in Paris?’ Dionne didn’t spill the tea on why it’s a no for her, but one thing about Ms. Warwick? She’s gonna keep it cute, classy, and just the right amount of petty. Now somebody send Auntie some bangers to binge!

“As most of you may know, I’ve had to cancel a few shows due to emergency leg surgery. I’m doing okay, do not worry! However, I need some show/movie recommendations while on the mend. Not Emily in Paris. Love you all,” the icon shared to X.

Leon Thomas, GELO Perform at Billboard R&B/Hip-Hop Power Players Show

When word got out that the Billboard R&B/Hip-Hop Power Players event would be taking over Webster Hall for a free concert on Friday (Sept. 5), New Yorkers from all walks of life consumed three blocks waiting — and hoping — to get inside. Those lucky enough to gain entry celebrated every second of the night, as DJ Ohso meticulously spun through hip-hop bangers, sultry afro tunes and a little bit of Paramore to keep the crowd energized, engaged and hungry for a showcase from Billboard‘s Rookies of the Year.

Armanii kicked the night off with his signature blend of dancehall and hip-hop grooves, as fans swayed to “8:00 PM,” “JUMP (Bounce)” and others. Attendee’s workday blues than completely vanished thanks to Billboard‘s Hip-Hop Rookie of the Year GELO, who swaggered about the stage and ignited the party with the littest cuts off his debut album, League of My Own. While fans cheered and supported the newer tracks, it of course was his viral hit “Tweaker” that fully locked the crowd in with its unifying “woah’s” and “ahh’s.”

After a short breather, Odeal‘s presence was immediately felt throughout Webster’s Hall, as people erupted just at the mere sight of the African Rookie of the Year. There were dozens of diehard supporters in the audience, who screamed out every syllable of “Soh-Soh,” “London Summers” and of course “Miami,” with the soon-to-appear headliner Leon Thomas. Before that, though, Ravyn Lenae floated onto the stage to quickly transport the crowd to a more mystical realm. Lenae gracefully sang through her biggest hits including “One Wish” and “Love Me Not,” sprinkling pixie dust along the way like an R&B fairy godmother.

But it was Thomas that really brought the house down. He railed on the drums, shredded on the guitar, sang his absolute heart out — firing off every firearm in his musical arsenal and leaving no survivors. The crowd, admittedly a bit worn after such a lengthy showcase, rallied behind Thomas and fully came back to life as Ty Dolla $ign casually strutted out while singing his verse on “Far Fetched.” The DJ then queued up “Carnival” right after, the Ye (formerly Kanye West) and Ty’s Vultures 1 cut that hit No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart back in 2024. As Ty sang through the single and hyped up the crowd, Leon and his band — for lack of a better term — rocked the f—k out. Then, almost like a fever dream, the night was over, leaving the crowd sweaty and satisfied in every way.

Karol G brought her Tropicoqueta energy to the NFL stage in Brazil, where she headlined the halftime show on Friday night (Sept. 5) during the season opener between the Kansas City Chiefs and the Los Angeles Chargers.

The Colombian superstar’s performance was streamed live on the NFL’s YouTube channel from Corinthians Arena in São Paulo, where she opened her short-but-dazzling set singing some verses in Portuguese, before switching to Spanish for “Bandida Entrenada.”

“Hey, Brazil!” she greeted the audience with excitement. “¡Arriba mi gente latina!” (Up my Latin people!)

Dressed in a brown and yellow miniskirt with copper details and a bra with yellow pineapples for cups, Karol, with her wavy dark blond hair down, performed a medley of songs that included her Billboard Hot Latin Songs No. 1 hit “Si Antes Te Hubiera Conocido,” “Un Gatito Me Llamó” and “Papasito,” which she performed half in English, half in Spanish.

Surrounded by dozens of dancers and featuring some moves that included a bit of lambada, Karol’s performance lasted less than 10 minutes, but it was sweet and well-produced, including nice costumes, a group of female percussionists and a grand finale with golden pom poms and fireworks.

Hours before the show, Karol shared some heartfelt words in an Instagram post alongside a carousel of colorful spashots from her stay in Brazil. “Today is a very special day! After a long time, I return to one of my favorite places in the world, where, no matter what, I feel completely happy: The stage! The sacred place where I connect with you,” she wrote.

“Performing tonight has many special meanings in my life for different reasons, and there wouldn’t be enough space in this caption to explain it all… I just hope you really enjoy it, and in the name of God, I hope everything turns out incredible,” the singer continued. “You know, you think about every detail and hope that everything goes as planned… But no matter what happens, I love what we’ve prepared so much. It has all my soul and heart, and there’s a wonderful team of people by my side who worked incredibly hard as well.”

Karol G’s halftime show performance was announced in August. The news was accompanied by a photo of her dressed in Tropicoqueta flair, a nod to her latest album, while holding a football helmet. As part of the ongoing collaboration between the NFL and YouTube, the game between the Chiefs and the Chargers is the first NFL game exclusively streamed live on YouTube.

In addition to Karol’s show, Brazilian artist Ana Castela performed the country’s national anthem, “Hino Nacional Brasileiro,” and jazz saxophonist and composer Kamasi Washington played the United States national anthem, “The Star-Spangled Banner.”

Taking to Instagram, Sharda shared a cheerful photo with Krushna and wrote, “yeh bandhan… kabhi nahi tootega! The ‘fight’ was a prank only.” He also urged fans not to believe gossip, assuring them that he remains part of the show’s “parivaar.”

Viral Clip Sparked Confusion

The misunderstanding began after a video circulated online showing Sharda and Krushna in what looked like a heated exchange. In the clip, Krushna was heard saying, “Aap karlo, bhai, koi problem nahi hai. Main jata hu yaha se,” while Sharda responded, “Raise voice ka baat nahi hai, aap isko galat tarike se leke jaa rahe hai.”

What seemed like a genuine argument turned out to be scripted banter, later revealed as a prank. The video’s timing, paired with a paparazzo’s post, fueled assumptions that Sharda had walked out of the show.

Sharda’s clarification not only reaffirmed his strong bond with Krushna but also reminded viewers that only three episodes remain in the ongoing season on Netflix. His statement reflects his trademark humour and reassures audiences that the laughter will continue uninterrupted.

Beyond Comedy

During his set, he gave a shout-out to R. Kelly, calling him the undisputed “King of R&B.” In a clip shared by The Art Of Dialogue on X, Tyrese doubled down, saying, “I know the city I’m in. Imma say it again. Feel whatever you wanna feel, n***a, I got no f***s to give. The King of R&B is R. Kelly. During an exclusive sit-down with The Shade Room’s Thembi, he made it clear that he’s been riding for Kells for a minute. Tyrese argued that R. Kelly’s discography is unmatched, regardless of the controversies surrounding his name. Tyrese also noted that he wasn’t taking Kells’ personal matters into mind when thinking about the king of the genre; he’s solely focused on the music.

Additionally, he pointed out how Kelly’s songwriting and production shaped the sound of ’90s and 2000s R&B, from his own hits to collabs with artists including Aaliyah and Michael Jackson. “Who else but him? We’re not talking about him being in jail… all that controversy,” Tyrese said. When Thembi gave her own take, saying Usher was worthy of holding that title, Tyrese snapped, “Usher is not the King of R&B. I love Usher, but he’s not the King of R&B. […] Chris Brown is not the king to me.”

Bestselling author Stephen King slammed the excessive violence that are in display in the superhero films that are made in Hollywood.

Another Stephen King book, The Long Walk, is gearing up for release. Starring David Jonsson (Industry), Ben Wang (Karate Kid: Legends), Charlie Plummer (Lean on Pete), and Cooper Hoffman (Licorice Pizza), the dystopian horror thriller film has many shocks and horrors. About the film

But the author had a condition for this adaptation, given that the film showed the violence that takes place as a totalitarian regime forces a group of young men to enter an annual walking contest in which they must maintain a speed of at least three miles per hour or risk execution. He shared that with director Francis Lawrence and screenwriter JT Mollner.

What Stephen King said

Speaking to The Times UK, Stephen explained his choice and said, “If you look at these superhero movies, you’ll see some supervillain who’s destroying whole city blocks but you never see any blood. And man, that’s wrong. It’s almost, like, pornographic… I said [for The Long Walk], if you’re not going to show it, don’t bother. And so they made a pretty brutal movie.”

Mollner added, “Even though he was writing about specific things at the time, I feel that relevance is generational and wanted to make sure we had that. The beauty, love and the story of friendship along with the brutality of hopelessness and terror. We wanted to go all the way. I knew that Stephen King wanted us to go all the way. I knew Lionsgate wanted us to go all the way. If this book got into the wrong hands, studio or filmmakers. It could’ve been neutered. So, I’m very grateful we were able to keep the teeth that the book has.”

The Long Walk is set to release in theatres on September 12.

Piers Morgan ‘Uncensored’ YouTube Show Heading To Channel 5

In what has been described as the “worlds-first collaboration between a YouTube current affairs show and a legacy broadcaster,” Piers Morgan’s Uncensored show has found a fresh linear home on Channel 5 (now 5).

Piers Morgan Uncensored will be shown as a 90-minute highlights show on the Paramount UK network each week, 5 has just revealed, with the first airing next Friday at 11 p.m. GMT (3 p.m. PT).

Uncensored features Morgan’s take on the week’s news along with high-profile interviews with the likes of Donald Trump, Cristiano Ronaldo and the ‘real-life Martha’ from Baby Reindeer. The show was previously the flagship for Rupert Murdoch’s now-defunct linear network TalkTV, but Morgan took it YouTube-only last year, claiming that he could get far more viewers on that platform. He says that it has picked up more than one billion views in the past three years. Today’s surprise move marks a return to linear for the ex-CNN host who also used to present a morning show on ITV.

Traditional TV gatekeepers leveraging YouTube was one of the big topics at last month’s Edinburgh TV Festival. However, Morgan’s move certainly marks the first time a show has left linear to YouTube, only to return to a different linear platform.

Morgan said: “I’m really excited our show will be crashing onto British TV screens in a game-changing partnership with 5, bringing viewers the most explosive debates,  jaw-dropping interviews, and headline-grabbing moments every single week.”

5 commissioner Federico Ruiz added: “Being thrilled to have Piers Morgan on 5 doesn’t scratch the surface. Uncensored will be an excellent fit: our viewers love straight talk, big opinions, and unapologetic personalities—and Piers delivers all three and then some. A linear, terrestrial broadcaster partnering with a current affairs YouTube channel is the sort of exciting cross-cultural handshake that marks where the industry is heading. The fuse is lit. We’re braced for impact … Piers is coming to 5.”

With rumors around its future in the Paramount-Skydance era swirling, 5 has had a good week, having struck a new deal for NFL rights last week. Commissioned by Ruiz, Commissioning Editor 5 and Paramount +, Piers Morgan Uncensored is a  Wake Up Production. Executive editor is Alex Campbell.

Speaking on the Today Show recently, NFL commissioner Roger Goodell was asked if she would be headlining next year’s Super Bowl performance. He responded: “We would always love to have Taylor play. She is a special, special talent and obviously, she would be welcome at any time.”

When asked point blank if it was “in the works” for the 2026 slot, he deflected: “I can’t tell you anything about that.” When pressed for a firm answer, he coyly replied: “It’s a maybe.”

As for when 2026’s performer will be announced, Goodell said he’s waiting on the NFL’s music supervisor Jay-Z to finalise a date. Performers are typically announced between September and October the previous year – Kendrick Lamar was announced in September 2024 to headline this year’s sporting event.

Fans have been speculating that Swift would be headlining the 2026 Super Bowl halftime show in recent weeks. Last month, Swift made her first appearance on Travis Kelce’s New Heights podcast, where she announced her upcoming 12th album ‘The Life Of A Showgirl’.

For some fans, this was confirmation enough that she’ll headline the Super Bowl LX halftime show, because the choice to announce her album on there specifically seemed a puzzling, but perhaps intentional choice. Another act who have expressed their interest in the 2026 Super Bowl halftime show are metal legends Metallica, who noted that next year’s sporting event will take place in their hometown of San Francisco.

Speaking to Howard Stern recently, Metallica drummer Lars Ulrich responded when asked if they were keen on playing the Super Bowl next year: “Fuck yeah, of course we would. First of all we would do it. Second of all to do it in San Francisco would be a dream come true and would be the right fit… Certainly as somebody who’s represented San Francisco all over the world and shouted for decades about San Francisco and our love for the Bay Area, that part of it is the right fit. Ultimately it’s not our decision.”
