ABC suspends Jimmy Kimmel’s show indefinitely over Charlie Kirk death monologue – National

ABC has suspended Jimmy Kimmel’s late-night show indefinitely after comments that he made about Charlie Kirk’s killing led a group of ABC-affiliated stations to say it would not air the show

Kimmel, the veteran late-night comic, made several comments about the reaction to Kirk’s assassination on his show Monday and Tuesday nights. He said that “many in MAGA land are working very hard to capitalize on the murder of Charlie Kirk.”

ABC, which has aired Kimmel’s late-night show since 2003, moved swiftly after Nexstar Communications Group said it would pull the show starting Wednesday.

Kimmel’s comments about Kirk’s death “are offensive and insensitive at a critical time in our national political discourse,” said Andrew Alford, president of Nexstar’s broadcasting division. Nexstar operates 23 ABC affiliates.

There was no immediate comment from Kimmel.

President Donald Trump celebrated ABC’s move on the social media site Truth Social, writing: “Congratulations to ABC for finally having the courage to do what had to be done.”

He also targeted two other late-night hosts, Jimmy Fallon and Seth Meyers, and said they should be canceled too, calling them “two total losers.”

Kimmel’s contract is up at the end of next season, which ends in May 2026.

On Twitter Wednesday night, White House deputy chief of staff Taylor Budowich posted: “Welcome to Consequence Culture. Normal, common sense Americans are no longer taking the b———- and companies like ABC are finally willing to do the right and reasonable thing.”

In his monologue on Monday, Kimmel said that “we hit some new lows over the weekend with the MAGA gang desperately trying to characterize this kid who murdered Charlie Kirk as anything other than one of them and doing everything they can to score political points from it.”

Kimmel said that Trump’s response to Kirk’s death “is not how an adult grieves the murder of someone he called a friend. This is how a 4-year-old mourns a goldfish, OK?” He also said that FBI chief Kash Patel has handled the investigation into the murder “like a kid who didn’t read the book, BS’ing his way through an oral report.”

He returned to the topic on Tuesday night, mocking Vice President JD Vance’s performance as guest host for Kirk’s podcast.

He said Trump was “fanning the flames” by attacking people on the left.

“Which is it, are they a bunch of sissy pickleball players because they’re too scared to be hit by tennis balls, or a well-organized deadly team of commandos, because they can’t be both of those things.”

Authorities say Tyler Robinson, 22, who is charged with killing Kirk, grew up in a conservative household in southern Utah but was enmeshed in “leftist ideology.”

His parents told investigators he had turned politically left and pro-LGBTQ rights in the last year.

Utah records show he was registered as a voter, but not affiliated with either political party. His voter status is inactive, meaning he did not vote in two regular general elections.

He told his transgender partner that he targeted Kirk because he “had enough of his hatred.”

Kimmel, like CBS late-night host Stephen Colbert, has consistently been critical of President Donald Trump and many of his policies on his ABC show.

CBS said this past summer that it was canceling Colbert’s show at the end of this season for financial reasons, although some critics have wondered if his stance on Trump played a role.

‘The Morning Show’ Review: Season 4 Is Both Utterly Nonsensical and Numbingly Monotonous

After sending Bradley Jackson (Reese Witherspoon) into orbit and Alex Levy (Jennifer Aniston) into the arms of alt-reality Elon Musk, “The Morning Show” scales things back (relatively speaking) to focus on basic relationship drama… and makes even less sense.

The Tonight Show is Jimmy Fallon’s vehicle, sure. But only when Cardi B doesn’t stop by.

The “Bodak Yellow” rapper made a classic entrance on Fallon’s late night show Tuesday, Sept. 16, as he was delivering his monologue.

First, Cardi Facetimed the talkshow host. Then — voila! — she strolled onto the set, to share some important information.

Carrying the vinyl of her forthcoming album Am I The Drama?, Cardi showed off the artwork, announced a tour, and urged viewers to get off their armchairs and buy a copy of her long-awaited collection.

“Tell people on your show to get my album. Thank you.” She quipped, “tell your audience or I’m gonna be homeless.”

As previously reported, the Bronx native’s second album, Am I The Drama?, is due out this Friday, Sept. 19, and is the followup to her 2018 debut, Invasion of Privacy, which logged one week atop the Billboard 200 chart. All told, Cardi has landed five leaders on the Billboard Hot 100.

Her Miss Drama Tour will play 30 arenas up and down North America and will go on sale the following Friday, Sept. 25, Fallon announced.

The trek is booked to kick off Feb. 11, 2026 in Palm Desert, Calif. and take Cardi to Las Vegas, Los Angeles, Portland, Vancouver, Seattle, Sacramento, San Francisco, Phoenix, Houston, Austin, Dallas, Denver, Minneapolis, Indianapolis, Detroit, Kansas City, Cincinnati, Chicago, New York, Newark, Toronto, Boston, Hartford, Baltimore, Philadelphia, Washington, D.C, Raleigh and Charlotte, N.C. and Sunrise, Fla. before winding down on April 17 in Atlanta.

Earlier this week, Cardi revealed that the new LP will feature eight guest artists: Cash Cobain, Janet Jackson, Kehlani, Lizzo, Megan Thee Stallion, Selena Gomez, Summer Walker and Tyla. So far, she’s released two singles from the collection, the Hot 100 top 10 “Outside” and the Jay Z-sampling “Imaginary Playerz.”

‘You Have Applied Red Lipstick Today’, Pawan Singh Seen Playfully Flirting With Dhanashree Verma In Ashneer Grover’s Show

Bhojpuri superstar Pawan Singh and dancer-choreographer Dhanashree Verma are currently part of Ashneer Grover’s reality show Rise and Fall. Their fun chemistry has become a point of discussion on social media. In the latest episode, the two were seen sharing light-hearted moments, with Pawan playfully flirting and openly admiring Dhanashree’s beauty. Alongside the banter, he also reacted to his ongoing controversy with Jyoti Singh, while Dhanashree indirectly addressed her ex-husband, cricketer Yuzvendra Chahal, without taking his name.

Dhanashree Verma

During the 11th episode, hosts Arbaaz Khan and Aditya Narayan sat with Pawan and Dhanashree to discuss the game. Noticing her striking look, Pawan teased, “Bhai, you don’t talk much, but when you do… sometimes it feels like you’re always on high speed, 48 speed. But when this girl comes in her form… how do you swim!” His unexpected remark about swimming left everyone amused and curious.

Pawan Singh

Keeping the playful mood alive, Pawan added, “You’ve applied red lipstick today, so no matter what outfit you wear, add a bindi too.” Smiling, Dhanashree replied, “If I wear Indian, I will definitely wear a bindi. If all four of us stay till the third week, I promise I’ll wear Indian clothes with a bindi.” Pawan immediately responded, “That’s what I’m waiting for. The day you wear Indian, I’ll drop all my work and come to this house.”

Dhanashree Verma

Later, while sitting with Arbaaz in the living area, Pawan noticed Dhanashree passing by and quipped, “Somewhere Dhana ji is also getting slimmer,” making her slightly uncomfortable as she chose to ignore the comment. In another segment, Arbaaz brought up Yuzvendra Chahal, prompting Dhanashree to share her thoughts on the negativity surrounding their past. Without naming anyone, she said, “It’s all negative PR to pull someone down. If I start sharing details, these shows will seem like peanuts.” Supporting her, Pawan remarked, “I’ve been saying since day one, this show is nothing compared to what you’ve faced.”

Cuco Covers Cumbia Classics During Homecoming Show in Los Angeles

by jummy84 September 17, 2025

The Chicano star is currently on tour in celebration of his album, Ridin’

Cuco turned Mexican Independence Day into a cumbia celebration Monday night at the Greek Theatre. The Chicano soul star lit up the sold-out Los Angeles venue in green, white, and red, as fans swayed and sang along to his unexpected dive into cumbia classics.

Midway through the show, Cuco loosened things up with his cumbia-inspired 2021 one-off “Under the Sun” before surprising the crowd by pulling out the güira for a rendition of “Llorar,” the standard by Los Socios del Ritmo. The energy jumped again when he transitioned into “La Negra Tomasa,” the Caifanes anthem that had the audience on its feet.

“I gotta tell you how many cumbia parties I’ve been to,” Cuco said onstage. “Y’all, I never realized how hard it is to sing that song, ‘Llorar,’ it’s a lot of tongue twisters for me. But that is fun as fuck to play. I hope you guys enjoyed that shit.”

The star took the time to celebrate some of the deluxe standouts on Ridin’, making way for “Sin un Corazón” from the extended project. Earlier in the evening, Cuco welcomed Jean Carter to perform their collab “Bossa No Sé,” and also a rendition of “My 45” from his recent project, Ridin, which Rolling Stone lauded last month.

“His blissed-out performances flow by perfectly, and the tunes stay with you. More than just historical cosplay, Ridin’ makes an old-school sound feel joyfully present,” read a review of the album.

Cuco just started his Ridin tour last week in Oakland and is set to tour the United States, stopping in cities such as Phoenix, Albuquerque, Denver, Dallas, Nashville, Kansas City, and New York City through the end of October.

Everything to Know About the Coach S/S 26 Runway Show

by jummy84 September 16, 2025
written by jummy84

Many fashion brands include accessories as part of their collections, but far fewer are known for being leaders in the accessories realm. Coach is one of those select few. Since Coach’s inception in 1941, its leather goods and accessories have been revered, and they remain highly coveted to this day. In recent years, the brand has experienced a resurgence, as the younger generation of fashion lovers has taken to its pieces. Coach’s S/S 26 collection is a reflection of this, as each look that went down the runway was undoubtedly created with Gen Z and its affinity for new accessory trends in mind.

For S/S 26, Coach Creative Director Stuart Vevers embraced a neutral palette that allowed the accessories to shine. The silhouettes were relaxed and casual, and the looks, many of which included baggy trousers paired with shrunken outerwear on top, looked like something you’d see on a cool, polished New Yorker. While the models’ footwear may have been chunky and utilitarian, the pieces paired with them were often in contrast. The resulting looks were fresh and wearable.

Scroll to find out which accessory trends Coach is making happen for spring 2026 and see some of the well-dressed celebrities who dotted the front row.
