Best Moments From Portland Show

The Grammy Award-winning duo NxWorries—Anderson .Paak and Knxlwedge—kicked off their first-ever North American tour with a sold-out show in Portland, Ore., earlier this month. Opened by rising contemporary R&B act Rae Khalil, the trio of artists brought musicality and swagger to McMenamins Crystal Ballroom in the city’s Pearl District.

Walking up the sidewalk, a crowd formed a jumbled line awaiting entrance into the venue for the concert. Couples united by hand could not be separated by excited friend groups shuffling for their IDs and virtual tickets at the door. Conversations outside reflected the anticipation for NxWorries to arrive.

“Will they have special guests? Will it start on time? Will they do ‘Suede’? Is there custom Portland merch?” were all the questions thrown out in exchanges that echoed through the perfectly warm, late summer night as staff slowly trickled the crowd inside.

Indoors, over one thousand guests made their way into the dimly lit stagefront for the musical showcase. Long, yet quick-paced lines stacked up at multiple bars and bathrooms, as fans prepared to enjoy the headlining act comfortably. The merchandise booth also buzzed with shoppers, purchasing everything from T-shirts and hoodies to vinyl records, including an Anderson .Paak Tiny Desk Concert pressing.

After a sound, soothing opening from Rae Khalil, the energy shifted to welcome NxWorries, and from there the night entered true-fan territory. The entire evening brought solace to listeners who had been awaiting the moment since the group’s symbiotic musical chemistry united them on their Soundcloud debut 10 years ago.

The PDX audience witnessed NxWorries perform tracks from their 2015 EP Link Up & Suede, 2016 album Yes Lawd!, and the 2024 Grammy-winning release Why Lawd?

With endless cheers and joyful applause, the crowd was fully immersed in the moment. Both levels of the audience danced, swayed, and toasted to their favorite group, satisfied with the contemporary group’s North American tour debut.

Read below for highlights from NxWorries’ opening show on the Why Lawd? Tour below.

The headliners opened with “86Sentra” a fan-favorite record from the Why Lawd ? album and set the tone for the evening. Everyone in attendance rapped word for word with Anderson .Paak, as Knxwledge held down the control booth as “the man upstairs,” as his partner declared on stage. The full setlist brought live versions of tracks from the aforementioned album as well as its predecessor, Yes Lawd!, including “Link Up,” “KeepHer,” “Suede,” Droogs,” and more.

  • Including The Audience In The Act

At the Why Lawd? tour, fans are fully included in the experience. Even from the deep end of the mezzanine, standing shoulder-to-shoulder with strangers, NxWorries was able to curate an intimate vibe. During the show Anderson .Paak and Knxwledge welcomed all in attendance to sing along and spoke directly to the relatability of their vulnerable collaborations. The interactive experience also featured the 39-year-old handing out roses and making space for excited fans to join the duo on stage for a dance break.

  • Rae Khalil’s Return To The Stage

Although Rae Khalil opened the show, she was welcomed back by NxWorries to perform their “OutTheWay” collaboration featured on Why Lawd? The audience cheered as Anderson .Paak made space for the rising singer to perform for the audience who might not have caught her earlier. The duo made sure to uplift Rae Khalil in the moment, a sweet touch that only emphasized the respect they have for her talent.

Knxwledge and Anderson .Paak also made sure to celebrate themselves, with the latter bringing his “brother” from the booth and on stage as the show closed. Together, both men stood proud as the claps and cheers rang from every corner of the venue. With smiles and waves, NxWorries exited on “Daydreaming” prepared to conquer the rest of the tour.

Jimmy Kimmel’s show returning to all remaining ABC stations, companies say – National

Two U.S. companies will allow Jimmy Kimmel Live! to return to their ABC stations’ airwaves Friday, ending a brief boycott launched after the show’s return.

In a statement posted on social media, Sinclair Broadcast Group said Jimmy Kimmel’s late-night show will return to all of its 38 ABC affiliate stations effective Sept. 26.

“Over the last week, we have received thoughtful feedback from viewers, advertisers, and community leaders representing a wide range of perspectives,” Sinclair said in the statement.

The company also said it noticed “troubling acts of violence,” referencing the shooting into the lobby of a Sacramento ABC station last Friday.

“These events underscore why responsible broadcasting matters and why respectful dialogue between differing voices remains so important,” Sinclair added.

A short time later, Nexstar Media Group said it would also return Kimmel’s show to its 28 ABC affiliate stations beginning Friday night.

“We have had discussions with executives at The Walt Disney Company and appreciate their constructive approach to addressing our concerns,” the company said in a statement.

“As a local broadcaster, Nexstar remains committed to protecting the First Amendment while producing and airing local and national news that is fact-based and unbiased and, above all, broadcasting content that is in the best interest of the communities we serve.”

Kimmel was allowed to return to work, and hosted the show again on Sept. 23 after the network said it had “thoughtful conversations” with Kimmel.

Both Sinclair and Nexstar said this week they would continue to keep Kimmel off their ABC airwaves despite the return, but said they remained in conversations with ABC and Disney.

“In our ongoing and constructive discussions with ABC, Sinclair proposed measures to strengthen accountability, viewer feedback, and community dialogue, including a network-wide independent ombudsman,” Sinclair said Friday.

It noted the company has yet to adopt those measures.

ABC suspended Jimmy Kimmel Live! completely on Sept. 17 after the namesake host made comments during a broadcast about the killing of conservative activist Charlie Kirk.

The suspension was announced shortly after Nexstar and Sinclair said they would pre-empt Kimmel’s show.

Brendan Carr, chairman of the U.S. Federal Communications Commission, suggested earlier that same day that companies should take action against Kimmel over his comments “or there is going to be additional work for the FCC ahead.”

“We can do this the easy way or the hard way,” Carr added, comments that Democrats and other critics have said amounted to government pressure on affiliate stations, ABC and Disney.

United States President Donald Trump has been openly critical of the late-night host in the past, among others, and has previously suggested putting pressure on networks to have their shows cancelled.

“Fallon has no talent. Kimmel has no talent. They’re next. They’re going to be going. I hear they’re going to be going. I don’t know, but I would imagine because they’d get — you know, Colbert has better ratings than Kimmel or Fallon,” Trump said.

In its statement, Sinclair said its earlier decision to pre-empt Jimmy Kimmel Live! was done without government pressure.

“Our decision to pre-empt this program was independent of any government interaction or influence,” it said.

Nexstar also insisted its decisions were made due to its commitment “to be stewards of the public airwaves and to protect and reflect the specific sensibilities of our communities.”

“To be clear, our commitment to those principles has guided our decisions throughout this process, independent of any external influence from government agencies or individuals,” the company’s statement said.

Nexstar last month announced a $6.2 billion deal to buy TEGNA Inc., which owns 64 other TV stations.

The deal would require the FCC to change rules limiting the number of stations a single company can own. Carr has expressed openness to changing the rule.

Sinclair has also petitioned the FCC to relax its rules limiting broadcaster ownership of stations.

Kimmel has referenced the decision to not air his show on some stations since returning to ABC this week.

“We are broadcasting to about 75 per cent of the country from Los Angeles, California, tonight,” he said in his monologue Thursday night.

He noted next week’s shows will be taking place in Brooklyn, N.Y.

“What we have to do now is stay on the move so the FCC can’t get us,” he joked.

Janhvi Kapoor’s Latest Look: All-Black Outfit With Bootcut Denim That Steals The Show | Glamsham.com

Janhvi Kapoor, who wowed audiences with her performance in Param Sundari, is now stepping into the spotlight once again with her upcoming romantic comedy Sunny Sanskari Ki Tulsi Kumari. Slated for a theatrical release on October 2, the film is already generating significant buzz among fans. Adding to the excitement is Janhvi’s impeccable style, which she has been flaunting during the promotional run.

Janhvi was seen at the Mumbai airport on Thursday, apparently returning from the promotional tour of the film. As ever, her airport style made eyes roll. The actress went for a chic all-black look that balanced comfort with elegance. Wearing a black button-down shirt and black fitted trousers, she made a snazzy monochrome outfit that was chic and ready to travel at the same time.

She finished her look with chunky black boots and dark shades, while letting loose her big, curly locks of hair, bringing a dash of glamour to the ensemble. Opting for simplicity with accessories, Janhvi achieved the best of both worlds with effortless and classy — cementing herself as a contemporary fashion icon in the process.

Directed by Shashank Khaitan, Sunny Sanskari Ki Tulsi Kumari features Janhvi alongside Varun Dhawan in prominent roles. The movie traces the lives of Sunny (played by Varun) and Tulsi (played by Janhvi) as they try to tackle complex relationships with their past flames, played by Sanya Malhotra and Rohit Saraf. The movie guarantees a blend of romance, comedy, and emotional drama all coated in a quirky and offbeat script.

Supporting acts from Maniesh Paul and Akshay Oberoi are likely to lend extra humor and complexity to the narrative, making it one of the most hotly awaited releases of the year. The combination of new pairing, interesting plot, and cast in the film has already gained the audience’s attention.

Apart from this, Janhvi Kapoor will also leave us awestruck with Homebound, a Dharma Productions produced film directed by Neeraj Ghaywan. A 2020 New York Times article by Basharat Peer is the source material for the film, starring Ishaan Khatter and Vishal Jethwa along with it, with Reem Shaikh, Harshika Parmar, and Shalini Vatsa providing supporting acts.

Homebound has already won critical acclaim, having just been chosen as India’s official Oscar entry for 2026. With two such strong projects in the pipeline, Janhvi Kapoor remains one of the brightest hopes of the future generation of Bollywood stars.

Rose Covers Lana Del Rey, Paul Simon on ‘The Howard Stern Show’

by jummy84 September 26, 2025
written by jummy84

The singer pulled from Lana Del Rey’s “Norman Fucking Rockwell” and Paul Simon’s “50 Ways to Leave Your Lover” to create the bluesy “50 Ways to Leave Your Norman”

Rosé stopped by the Howard Stern Show for a solo showcase. The Blackpink singer brought her own hit single, the Bruno Mars-assisted “APT.,” but also whipped up a fusion of two songs from two distinct artists. In a medley performance, Rosé pulled from Lana Del Rey‘s “Norman Fucking Rockwell” and Paul Simon‘s “50 Ways to Leave Your Lover” to create the bluesy cover record “50 Ways to Leave Your Norman.”

The two songs share a loose narrative thread. Rosé started off singing about a pretentious poet in her less explicit version of “Norman Fucking Rockwell,” crooning, “You talk to the walls when the party gets bored of you/But I don’t get bored, I just see it through/Why wait for the best when I could have you?” As she transitioned into “50 Ways to Leave Your Lover,” a sudden realization comes to light thanks to some much needed advice.

“You just slip out the back, Jack/Make a new plan, Stan/You don’t need to be coy, Roy/Just get yourself free,” Rosé sang with an edge of funk from her band in the studio. “Hop on the bus, Gus/You don’t need to discuss much/Just drop off the key, Lee/And get yourself free.”

Trending Stories

While on the show, Rosé also shared the original demo for “APT.” before Bruno Mars contributed his feature. In the original verses, she encouraged a similar exit strategy, only with different motives. “We’ve been talking seven days a week/But you can’t hold my body through a screen/So you should leave your friends back at the bar,” she sang on the recording. “The night is still young, I got what you need/You can go and call yourself a car/Don’t tell anyone that you gon’ meet me at the…”

“APT.” appeared on Rosé’s debut solo album Rosie, which arrived in December. This weekend, she’ll perform the record at Global Citizen Festival in New York City.

Dakota Johnson made waves at the Zurich Film Festival, looking breathtaking in a sheer indigo blue Gucci dress. The otherworldly dress was a bottle-neck style with a see-through top and a flowing, dramatic bottom. She wore black and silver rings on both hands, nude-colored makeup, and her trademark soft waves—a perfect balance of elegance and daring.

Her red carpet appearance soon went viral, with people streaming onto social media to compliment her outfit. Messages included everything from “Dakota Johnson is an otherworldly beauty” to “Shining Star” and “DAKOTA JOHNSON IS A GODDESS.” People also complimented her styling and congratulated her on winning the coveted Golden Eye Award for career achievement at the festival.

Stepping out onto the stage to receive the award, the Fifty Shades of Grey star again demonstrated her position as a style icon and performing artist respected by all. Speaking with Vogue, Johnson explained her opinions on red carpet style, saying that comfort is the most important factor when it comes to her fashion. “Something which makes me select a dress for a carpet…I must feel comfortable in it,” she said. Looking back on her 2025 Cannes Film Festival look, she confessed that although some dresses can be heavy or bold, they’re well worth the risk.

Jil Sander Spring 2026: Inside Simone Bellotti’s Debut Show

by jummy84 September 25, 2025
written by jummy84

When a new designer takes over at the helm of a major fashion house (as is the case nearly everywhere this fashion month, with spring 2026 marking over 15 anticipated debuts), the expectation is that they’ll overhaul the work of their predecessor and put forth a collection that’s completely and totally their own. But the first few glimpses of Simone Bellotti’s Jil Sander debut are already revealing a different story. The Italian designer, formerly of Bally, took a much more democratic approach, marrying his own sensibilities with those of the label to create one harmonious blend of the two.

In its first few social media posts unveiling the collection, the brand described it as “a tightly edited expression of contrasts,” and it was, indeed, bursting with a sense of joy and optimism that’s so often lacking in today’s minimalist designs. While the looks were largely restrained, consisting of high-neck tailored jackets, knee-length skirts, and solid-colored knits, the color combinations were vivid and electric, offering a fresh vision that pierced through the loud maximalism we’ve seen elsewhere so far this season.

Here, discover everything to know about the Jil Sander spring 2026 show during Milan Fashion Week and designer Simone Bellotti’s debut collection.

A Jil Sander Homecoming

The runway, which was staged at the historic Piazza Castello in Milan, returned to the brand headquarters for the first time since 2017. It’s a decisive move for Bellotti’s debut and one that undoubtedly signals his plans to return to core house codes and honor both his own Italian heritage and that of the label.

Color Combinations to Covet

Vivid primary colors and not-too-sweet pastels were layered and combined to have the most harmonious effect. Come spring, we’ll all be wearing more color, and these are the specific color combinations we’ll be looking to emulate: cherry red and ultramarine blue; purplish navy and the faintest butter yellow; avocado green and strawberry milk pink.

The Flats Everyone Will Buy

While at Bally, Simone Bellotti earned a loyal fanbase of fashion insiders who were specifically drawn to his footwear. It was really good, especially the elevated boat shoes that our editors sent many Slack messages about. Luckily for our closets (but not our credit cards), Bellotti’s has brought that same energy to Jil Sander. This collection featured a tight edit of flat shoes like soft leather Wallabees, minimalistic derby shoes, and square-toe oxfords that I already know will be sellouts come spring.

Tailoring That Whispers (But Still Speaks Volumes)

Bellotti perfected his signature restrained yet architectural tailoring at Bally, and the designer has arrived at his new job with his résumé to show for it. This collection was defined by suiting silhouettes that were equally restrained but still highly interesting, like jackets with curved sleeves and dramatic hourglass waistlines or dresses with chest cutouts paired with matching bralettes. While many of his peers are leaning into loud maximalism, Bellotti understands the power in pieces that don’t have to speak up to be heard.
