Lewis Capaldi Shares ‘The Day That I Die’ From New ‘Survive’ EP

The emotional track closes out the Scottish singer-songwriter’s new EP, Survive

Lewis Capaldi’s new four-song EP is out today, and with it the arrival of a new single, “The Day That I Die.”

The track is vintage Capaldi, a deeply affecting, piano-led ballad that finds the Scottish singer-songwriter ruminating on mortality in stark, but evocative terms. On the track’s characteristically booming bridge, Capaldi belts, “Just as the sun will rise/And the sun will set/I will love you just the same from somewhere different/Until you close your eyes/And we meet again/Don’t you, don’t cry.”

On Instagram, Capaldi said the “The Day That I Die” was about “the lowest I’ve felt in my life,” and admitted it felt “a bit weird putting it out there for people to hear.” Still, he continued, “I’m honestly the proudest I’ve ever been about a song with this one. It’s been an absolute pleasure being back and releasing music and playing shows the last six months and I’m honestly so pleased to say I feel so far removed from the place I was when. Wrote this song. Looking forward to much more next year.”

“The Day That I Die” closes out Capaldi’s new Survive EP, which also includes previously-released tracks, “Almost,” “Survive,” and “Something in the Heavens.” Survive marks Capaldi’s first release of all new material in two years, following his 2023 sophomore album, Broken by Desire to Be Heavenly Sent. Earlier this year, he did release another EP, All the Rest, which contained two covers — Olivia Rodrigo’s “Driver’s License” and Billie Eilish’s “When the Party’s Over” — as well as new orchestral versions of two of Capaldi’s own songs.

Trending Stories

Capaldi’s return comes after a challenging couple of years, during which he stepped back from touring to address physical and mental health concerns. He returned to the stage over the summer at Glastonbury, where he last performed in 2023 and was seen battling Tourette’s syndrome throughout his set.

Capaldi has played a few more gigs since then, and he’ll kick off a proper world tour early next year. A North American run is set to begin April 15 in Philadelphia and wrap May 6 in Vancouver.

written by jummy84

Avalon Emerson has shared a new song. “Eden” is the DJ and producer’s first release under her Avalon Emerson & the Charm moniker since her 2023 dream-pop album of the same name. It’s out on Dead Oceans and arrives with a music video directed by Ben Turok. Watch it below.

“‘Eden’ is the voyage along the endless river carved between mountains of joy and loss, of experience and exhaustion. We glide over a teeming riverbed of relationships and love, revealing the path itself is the point,” Emerson said in a press release. “‘Eden’ came from the first studio session I had with Bullion after the last ‘& the Charm’ live tour in late 2023. That day in London made me realize that making this kind of music is not just a detour from DJing and dance music, but the entrance to a deep cave, full of passages to wander.”

After signing to Dead Oceans earlier this year, Emerson launched the singles series Perpetual Emotion Machine. As part of the series, she formally released “E After Next,” a rework of Moby’s “Next Is the E” that had become a staple of her DJ sets. Emerson is set to play a brief run of & the Charm shows in Europe and the United Kingdom beginning in late March of next year. Scroll down to see her upcoming tour dates.

2hollis Shares New Song “DOGS”: Listen

by jummy84 November 14, 2025
written by jummy84

Last month, I saw 2hollis at New York’s Terminal 5 and it was one of the best, sweatiest shows I’d ever been to thanks to the nonstop energy. It turns out the hyperpop rapper is only upping the ante; he’s back today with a seismic rage-rap anthem called “DOGS,” which is co-produced with F1lthy.

“DOGS” is 2hollis’ most violent banger yet, surpassing the great tracks “sidekick” and “trauma.” Considering F1lthy’s work with Playboi Carti and Bladee, him joining forces with 2hollis is the perfect pairing; the explosive beat sounds like something off of Cold Visions, but 2hollis makes it his own. Along with F1lthy, “DOGS” is produced by “engineboy,” which fans suspect is 2hollis’ new producer name. In Carti fashion, he dropped it via Instagram and it’s not yet anywhere else. Watch below.

Orthopaedic surgeon shares age-wise tips for strong bones: From teens, 20s to 30s

by jummy84 November 13, 2025
written by jummy84

Bone health evolves as you age. Long before bone issues begin to show up, you need to start adopting habits that help in maintaining strength, flexibility and density. Building bone strength is essential as it reduces the risks of fractures, joint issues and osteoporosis. Lifestyle habits, from exercise to diet, support bone health, keeping you resilient even in later years.

To understand what should be the bone health priorities for each age group, HT Lifestyle reached out to Dr Amyn Rajani, Mumbai-based orthopaedic surgeon specialising in arthroscopy, joint replacement and sports injuries. As per him, the foundation of bone strength is laid much earlier in life, even before you enter your 30s.

“Bones are living tissue. They continuously remodel themselves, building and breaking down throughout life,” Dr Rajani added, highlighting that habits and lifestyle choices contribute to lifelong bone health.

Tweaking the lifestyle choices is essential because Dr Ranjan asserted that the 30s mark the stage of peak bone mass, the point at which bones are at their strongest and densest. The habits formed in your teens and 20s influence the shaping of bone health later in life.

Teens (13–19 years)

As per the doctor, almost 90% of total bone mass develops during adolescence, from puberty to the late teens. Habits during this time lay the foundation for lifelong bone health.

Dr Rajani recommended focusing on nutrition.“Calcium and Vitamin D are vital for bone growth. Include milk, yoghurt, cheese, green veggies and almonds in the diet. Get 15-20 minutes of sunlight daily for Vitamin D,” he recommended.

During this time, one should also focus on physical activities and avoid certain postures. Elaborating on this, the orthopaedic surgeon added, “To develop dense and strong bones, teenagers must lead an active life, especially with weight-bearing exercises such as running, skipping, basketball, or dancing. They must also be careful not to spend long hours bent over mobile phones or routinely carry heavy loads such as bags, as these can affect the alignment of their spine. ”

Teenagers may also have the habit of indulging in junk food. But the orthopaedic surgeon cautioned, “Teens should avoid sugary soft drinks and processed foods as these can interfere with the body’s ability to absorb calcium, which would eventually lead to less strong bones.”

Twenties

Next up, for the twenties, Dr Ranjani revealed that it’s a decade of changes, juggling jobs, studies and social activities. But one shouldn’t neglect bone health.

Dr Ranjani emphasised staying active.“At this age, one must aim for at least 30–45 minutes of physical activity daily, such as walking, cycling, lifting weights, or playing a physical sport.”

The phase of the twenties also sees a lot of work pressure, stuck in front of a laptop for long hours. But it is vital to take necessary breaks and maintain posture for bone health.“Today, when most people spend too much time looking at digital screens, it is easy to forget that our body posture deserves our attention and care too. For better skeleton health, one should keep the screen at eye level, feet flat on the floor and take a short break every hour,” he added.

Lastly, nutrition should be maintained with a steady supply of calcium, protein and micronutrients, as per the surgeon. The 20s also come with a lot of stress, so it is vital to counter this with mindful practices. The doctor noted, “Practices like Yoga and breathing exercises can make a lot of difference in keeping one’s mind calm and relaxed.

Thirties

When you turn 30s, your bones reach an important milestone. The surgeon revealed, “By the time we hit our 30s, the body shifts gears from building bones to maintaining them.” So, 30 onwards, it is no longer about growth because you have reached the peak. Now it is all about prevention and preservation. In this phase, you introduce nutrients. Dr Ranjani revealed that bones 30 onwards require more than just calcium. “Bones also require protein, Vitamin K, and magnesium. A balanced diet with dairy, lean meat, lentils, fruits, and vegetables keeps this mix right.”

To maintain bone health, you have to include strength-training exercises. Dr Ranjani suggested, “Indulge in strength training, Pilates, or resistance band workouts. These also lower the risk of falls later in life.”

Work pressure may also increase, with a high likelihood of your lifestyle turning sedentary. To avoid this, the surgeon recommended that one should stand, stretch, or walk every 45 minutes to keep muscles active, especially if they have desk-bound jobs.

In the 30s, the orthopaedic surgeon highlighted that one can get a simple blood test for Vitamin D and calcium levels, and a bone density scan if needed, as a way to identify the early signs of weakening bones.

Bone health’s requirments evolve with age, as it grows and reaches the peak. While in the teens, the focus was on building a strong foundation, the 20s are about strengthening and protecting the bones. Lastly, as one reaches their 30s, the focus shifts to preservation and prevention, monitoring bone health to maintain density and preventing bone loss.

Drinking coffee on empty stomach? AIIMS-trained gastroenterologist shares 7 coffee mistakes wrecking your gut and liver

Love your daily cup of coffee? It can actually be great for your liver – but only if you’re not making some common mistakes. From drinking it on an empty stomach or late at night to overdoing your caffeine intake in order to fight off tiredness, certain habits can quietly harm your gut and liver health over time.

Dr Saurabh Sethi, a California-based gastroenterologist trained at AIIMS, Harvard, and Stanford Universities, has revealed seven common coffee mistakes that could be harming your gut and liver health. In an Instagram video posted on November 12, the gastroenterologist explains how daily habits – such as drinking coffee on an empty stomach or consuming more than four cups a day – can negatively impact your health.

Coffee on an empty stomach

According to Dr Sethi, drinking coffee on an empty stomach increases stomach acid levels, which can lead to acid reflux, nausea, and even gastritis if done regularly.

Sugar, creamers and syrups

The gastroenterologist explains that flavoured coffees are loaded with unhealthy calories, containing around 30 to 50 grams of sugar. These empty calories fuel fatty liver disease and even diabetes.

More than 4 cups of coffee per day

Dr Sethi highlights, “Over 400 milligrams of caffeine or approximately four cups leads to cortisol spikes, gut irritation, palpitations, and anxiety.”

Late-night coffee

Caffeine’s half-life – the time it takes for half of the consumed amount to leave your system – is approximately five to six hours. Dr Sethi stresses, “An evening cup can delay sleep, impairing liver repair.”

Masking fatigue with coffee

We often use coffee as a way to boost energy and beat tiredness due to lack of sleep but the gastroenterologist emphasises, “Using caffeine instead of fixing sleep worsens burnout, brain fog, and gut stress over time.”

Artificial sweeteners

Artificial sweeteners like sucralose and aspartame are often touted as ‘zero calories’ but Dr Sethi warns that this does not mean they are harmless. In fact, these artificial sweeteners can disrupt your gut microbiome.

Light roast is not gentler

The gastroenterologist debunks the common belief that light roast coffee is gentler on the stomach, clarifying instead, “dark roast is actually less acidic and may be better tolerated in reflux or GERD.”

Robyn Shares New Single “Dopamine”: Watch The Video

by jummy84 November 12, 2025
written by jummy84

Robyn has been sending us warning shots suggesting the follow-up to 2018’s Honey is imminent, and now she’s given us what seems to be that new album’s lead single. We don’t know anything yet about the Swedish alt-pop pioneer’s new LP, other than the fact that she’s now releasing her music through Young rather than her own Konichiwa Records. But based on the sound of “Dopamine” — her first new song in seven years — it’s going to be some of her most direct, accessible music in years.

The track, a collaboration with songwriter and producer Klas Åhlund, is pure synth-pop bliss. We’re introduced to layers of percolating keyboards and digitally processed vocals before Robyn’s unvarnished voice comes through, full of passion and longing. “I just need to know that I’m not alone,” she sings. “I know it’s just dopamine, but it feels so real to me.”

Robyn’s statement:

Everyone has a phone where they see their heart rate, and we’re learning how to decode our emotions through the hormones and chemical substances in our bodies. It’s almost like we don’t even accept that we’re human anymore, like we’re trying to shoot ourselves out of it and explain every single thing – which I think is great, but that’s also why the world is shit, this idea that you can figure out and win life or something. The doubleness of Dopamine is having an emotion that is super real, super strong, intense, enjoyable or painful, and at the same time knowing that this is just a biological process in my body—and then not to choose religion or science. To just accept that they’re there together and to be able to go in between.

Robyn lets her personality show in director Marili Andre’s “Dopamine” video, which you can watch below.

Indian married couple shares 4 ‘slightly unhinged rules’ it follows to make relationship work: ‘We don’t talk to…’

by jummy84 November 12, 2025
written by jummy84

A relationship, especially marriage, take a lot of work from both partners. It requires equal contribution, whether it be emotional, physical or mental. Moreover, the amount of effort you put into making things work can vary from time to time.

These unhinged rules helped the couple be ‘grounded, close, and a little bit sane.’ (Freepik)

There are no set rules that can ensure your relationship will be a success. Many things people learn come from experience and spending quality time with their partners. However, there is no harm in learning a few key things from couples. One such couple is content creator, Bhavna Jain, and her husband, Sachin Jain. On November 11, they shared ‘slightly unhinged rules’ in their marriage.

According to them, they don’t have a perfect marriage, but they do have their own rules: “The kind that don’t come from books, podcasts, or ‘relationship experts’ but from real arguments, awkward silences, and a lot of growing up together.”

also They revealed that these unhinged rules keep them ‘grounded, close, and a little bit sane.’ Because, according to them, marriage isn’t about doing what everyone says is ‘right’ or the ‘right rules. Rather, they wrote, “It’s about figuring out what actually works for you both and creating rules that feel right for YOU. The ones that make both of you feel safe, seen, and understood.”

Here are the ‘slightly unhinged rules’ the couple follows:

Rule #1: Going to bed angry sometimes is okay.

According to Bhavna and Sachin, they do go to bed angry sometimes, because ‘not every fight needs to be resolved the same night.’ The couple stressed that sometimes you need time to understand each other’s perspective and talk with a calm mind the next day.

Rule #2: No phones or screens once we enter the bedroom.

The couple stressed following the ‘no phones or screens once we enter the bedroom’ rule. According to Bhavna and Sachin, the bedroom is a space that belongs to them, and screens act as a distraction. “No distractions, no scrolling, and no blue light – just conversations, cuddles, or silence that feels safe,” they emphasised.

Rule #3: Giving space

“When one of us says. ‘I need space,’ the other one actually gives it. No guilt-tripping, no overthinking. Love doesn’t mean constant closeness -sometimes it means knowing when to step back,” the couple shared.

Rule #4: We don’t talk to anyone else about our relationship.

According to the couple, the fourth rule to follow is: never talk about your relationship with others. “No parents, no friends, no ‘just venting.’ Because once you let too many voices in, you stop hearing your partner,” they explained.

Rule #5: Date nights

According to Bhavna and Sachin, they plan 2 to 3 date nights every month to keep the romance alive. “No guests, no phones, no pressure. Sometimes it’s dinner at home, sometimes it’s coffee on the balcony – but we talk,” they revealed.

How did the internet react?

Many Instagram users commended the couple and posted comments, such as “Incredible,” “Good words of advice,” and “Absolutely agree.” A person also commented, “Divorce rates would drastically go down if couples actually acted sensibly.” Meanwhile, a user referred to their rules as the ‘bare minimum.’

While you may not agree that couples should have ‘rules’ that help the relationship grow, it is necessary to understand what works for you and partner specifically, and makes both of you feel feel safe, respected, and understood as there’s no universal formula for a successful relationship. What matters most is communication, mutual respect, and the willingness to adapt and grow.
