Serving as a pro for seasons 3-9, Karina took her first mini-break from the ballroom in its 10th season. She then competed in nine consecutive seasons before her next brief hiatus in season 20. At the time, she explained, “I’ve decided to focus my energies on some other exciting endeavors including adding author to my resume.”
She ended up returning for two more outings, but Karina officially left DWTS after season 22.
Since hanging up her dancing shoes, Smirnoff appeared on E!’s Famously Single and returned to professional dancing. In 2017, she opened up about her decision to leave the ABC series, admitting she does “miss the show” and wouldn’t rule out a return.
“I love dancing with celebrities on the show, but it’s a different type of experience. You’re not just their dance partner. You’re their coach, their shrink, their cheerleader,” she told Fox. “But when you perform with your professional partner, they’re as strong as you and it becomes a different type of performance. And I missed that when I wasn’t doing it while I was on the show.”

Over 320,000 fans saw the Britpop icons on their stops in the country as part of their reunion tour. They played three nights at Melbourne’s Marvel Stadium on October 31 and November 1 and 4 before two nights at Sydney’s Accord Stadium on November 7 and 8, supported by Brisbane indie rockers Ball Park Music on all dates.
“Thanks for putting up with us. We know we were dickheads sometimes,” Liam Gallagher told the audience in Sydney (via Billboard). “Your support has put us back on the map. Respect! You’ve got a lovely fucking country. See you again.”
While no shows for 2026 have been announced yet, Liam has previously teased the potential for more gigs. On September 27, he told gig-goers at Wembley Stadium – near the end of their most recent UK show, “I wanna thank you lot for keeping the faith and putting this band back on the map. See you next year.”
Oasis have almost finished touring for the year with a few South American dates remaining. And rumours of more shows have been rife in recent months – particularly that the band could play Knebworth or the Etihad Stadium next year, with the 30th anniversaries of their huge Knebworth and Maine Road falling in 2026.
Remarkably, a British peer in the House of Lords seemed to accidentally reveal that Oasis would play Knebworth next summer last month before backtracking. On October 22, Lady Taylor of Stevenage stood up and claimed that the band would play five back-to-back anniversary gigs at Knebworth House next year.
She then told The Guardian, “I was speaking hypothetically following speculation that they would play Knebworth again as they did in August 1996. I understand the band have not confirmed this.”
The Australia tour, meanwhile, became one of the highest-attended in Australia this year, and sensors at the Seismology Research Centre in Melbourne reportedly even picked up tremors during the shows (per 7NEWS Melbourne).
James Young, the owner of Cherry Bar, one of Melbourne’s most iconic music venues – which Noel Gallagher reportedly wanted to buy himself in 2002 (per The Age) – praised the band on social media too, calling the week of Oasis’ Melbourne dates the bar’s “biggest weekend and biggest week on record.”
He said: “The darkest hour is before the dawn, Melbourne and Cherry Bar needed a hero and who knew that it would come in the shape of a couple of ‘no f#cks given’ Mancunian larrikins?!”
A moment at the first Melbourne show, however, caused controversy with a fan launching a flare into the crowd. Liam later took to X (Twitter) to call the fan in question a “massive c**t”, adding: “You are 1 seriously fucked up individual and you will get yours trust me.”
Oasis are off to South America later this week, with two shows at Estadio Mâs Monumental in Buenos Aires, Argentina on November 15 and 16. They’re then playing Estadio Nacional Julio Martínez Prádanos in Santiago, Chile, on November 19, before two gigs at MorumBIS in São Paulo on November 22 and 23 to round off the year.
Bonehead will be rejoining them after the guitarist, real name Paul Arthurs, took a break from the tour to continue his cancer treatment. He was given the all-clear from tonsil cancer back in 2022, but shared at the start of October that he was diagnosed with prostate cancer earlier this year, and would sit out of Oasis’ Asia and Australia shows so he could have “the next phase of care”.
During those shows, the band performed with an honorary cut-out of Bonehead. In his absence, Mike Moore from Liam’s solo band filled in.

It Was No Picnic for Me Either, Pal
At the time, Hiro said all was well that ended well.
“About two months after the filming was completed, Jim and I talked again,” he told the Times. “He said he admired me, and told me I did a great job and said thanks. I thanked him too, because he went through that whole thing. I think How the Grinch Stole Christmas was the hardest film I’ve ever worked on. It is a good memory, but if we had to do that again…we won’t do it!”
As it turned out, Hiro—who’s won two Oscars since, for 2017’s Darkest Hour and 2019’s Bombshell—started therapy after his experience on HTGSC.
It got bad enough, Hiro told Vulture in 2018, that a producer suggested he leave to show Carrey how essential he was to the production. (The film’s makeup department was huge, but among the credits Hiro is the only one dedicated to the Grinch.)
He didn’t answer when Carrey called after a week, Hiro said, but Howard assured him the actor had sworn to change his ways.
While his friends encouraged him to ask for a big raise, the Kyoto-born artist continued, he decided he’d ask the studio for help getting a green card instead.
It worked, and he’s since become an American citizen. (And therapy helped him realize that he was “really an introvert.”)
Things have been tense between Jasmine Pineda and estranged husband Gino Palazzolo on 90 Day Fiancé: Happily Ever After? Season 9. The couple decided to open their marriage amid issues in their relationship, but Palazzolo ultimately filed for divorce, even going as far as accusing his wife of marriage fraud.
At the upcoming tell-all, which will play out over four episodes, Pineda will come face-to-face with Palazzolo to discuss the demise of their relationship and more, and she opened up to Swooon about what to expect.

It was a Boogie Woogie reunion that left ’90s kids on the internet all nostalgic on Thursday. The hosts and judges of the iconic dance show – Jaaved Jaaferi, Naved Jafri, and Ravi Behl – reunited for a special dance-off with Jaaved’s son Meezaan.
Boogie Woogie gang reunites
Jaaved and Meezaan share screen space in De De Pyaar De 2, an upcoming romantic comedy, and feature in a song titled 3 Shaukk. As their dance moves from the song are going viral, Jaaved roped in his old buddies for a dance-off to the song.
Meezaan shared the Instagram Reel on his account on Wednesday. The highlight of their reunion was their impromptu dance to the viral track. Meezaan’s dance moves in the song have been winning widespread acclaim, and his new reel with the original Boogie Woogie crew puts the cherry on top.
Fans react
At the end of the clip, they all enacted the famous Boogie Woogie signature step. Fans were unanimous in their praise of the ‘OG dance crew’. Reacting to the video, actor Shilpa Shetty commented, “Soo cool .. The OG s Boogie.. ing” Ayushmann Khurrana wrote, “With the OGs.” One fan commented, “Meezan is young, but OGs stole the show.”
Boogie Woogie was a dance reality TV show that ran from 1996-2014, and is widely considered one of the pioneers of talent shows in Indian television. Ravi, Naved, and Jaaved judged the show for all seasons.
Sung by Avvy Sra and Karan Aujla, 3 Shaukk is penned by Jaani and Karan, with music composed by Avvy Sra. The choreography is directed by Ganesh Acharya.
Talking about 3 Shaukk, singer and composer Avvy Sra said, “Karan and I have always enjoyed creating music that we truly connect with and that our listeners can vibe with. We are happy this song is now a part of the De De Pyaar De 2 album, and our fans will give it love all over again.”
Directed by Anshul Sharma, De De Pyaar De 2 stars Ajay Devgn, Rakul Preet Singh, R Madhavan, Meezan, and Jaaved Jaaferi in key roles. The film is set for a theatrical release on November 14.
Ananya Panday and Kartik Aaryan’s upcoming film has left fans excited. After working on Pati Patni Aur Woh, the two have collaborated once again for Tu Meri Main Tera Main Tera Tu Meri. A few months ago, the duo wrapped shooting for the romantic drama. It was later revealed that TMMTMTTM will arrive in cinemas on December 31, 2025. Ahead of the film’s release, Kartik spoke about his reunion with Ananya for the Sameer Vidwan directorial.
In an interview with Hindustan Times, the actor opened up about reuniting with Ananya and said, “We had a blast shooting it, and that vibe translates on screen. Reuniting with Ananya was like picking up where we left off; she was a total live-wire on set. She’s going to surprise everyone. I’m sure the audience will enjoy our chemistry in this fun, refreshing rom-com as Ray-Rumi and all the masti the film brings.”
The film was shot in some stunning locations across Croatia and Rajasthan, offering a visually vibrant backdrop for the story. Veteran actors Jackie Shroff and Neena Gupta also join the cast, bringing their experience and depth to the film.
With this mix of young energy and seasoned talent, the movie promises a balanced story full of humour, emotion, and charm.
Produced by Dharma Productions and Namah Pictures, with backing from Karan Johar, Adar Poonawalla, Apoorva Mehta, Shareen Mantri Kedia, Kishor Arora, and Bhumika Tewari, Tu Meri Main Tera Main Tera Tu Meri is shaping up to be one of the most anticipated releases of the year.
Caitlyn Jenner and Kris Jenner are keeping it amicable.
During the season seven premiere of The Kardashians, out on Hulu Oct. 23, the Olympian reunited with the Kardashian-Jenner clan onscreen to attend Kris’ farewell gathering at their Hidden Hills mansion, which she had put up for sale.
“I just couldn’t really come here with my whole family,” Kris said tearfully on The Kardashians, “and say goodbye to this house and not invite the person who made all the memories with us for so many years.”
The pair shared the home, dubbed Eldorado Meadow, before their 2013 breakup and filmed many episodes of Keeping Up With the Kardashians on the property. The show, which ended in 2021, would be the last time Caitlyn appeared onscreen with the group.
As for where Caitlyn, 75, and Kris, 69, stand now?
“I don’t know if my parents will ever be best friends again,” their daughter Kylie Jenner, 28, said in a confessional in a preview for the following episode, “but this is definitely a great first step.”
The BBC has officially announced that Motherland spin-off Amandaland will be returning for a Christmas special, starring Lucy Punch, Philippa Dunne and Dame Joanna Lumley.
Lumley first revealed the news at the beginning of October during an appearance on The Chris Evans Breakfast Show on Virgin Radio UK, but the BBC has now officially confirmed that the festive special is indeed happening.
And if that isn’t fabulous enough for you, Lumley will be joined by her Absolutely Fabulous partner in crime Jennifer Saunders, who will play her on-screen sister Aunt Joan – described as “a ball of country-living, enthusiastic upper-class bluster [and] very, very different from Felicity”.
It also marks the first time the pair have been reunited on screen since their Ab Fab days.
“I am delighted to be joining the fabulous Amandaland gang for a Christmas special,” said Saunders, while writers Holly Walsh and Laurence Rickard called her “the perfect addition to the gang”.
“Playing Joanna’s on-screen sister is guaranteed to be a laugh – who doesn’t love a family reunion SoHa style?” added Saunders.
Punch went on to say that the Christmas special “is going to be an absolute cracker – it’s like totes fire, with all the festive feels, for reals. Slay bells!”
And in further exciting news, production has begun on the show’s second season, which was confirmed back in March following its strong ratings performance.
Its first episode attracted 7.4 million viewers, making it the BBC’s second-biggest new comedy launch in recent years, behind Ludwig.

“It’s an absolute joy to be back in SoHa (South Harlesden) again,” said Walsh and Rickard.
“After six months of researching Brent Council’s fly-tipping rules, attempting Anne’s Irish accent and writing the odd bit of script, we’re so excited to get filming with our amazing cast.”
The first season followed Punch’s eponymous queen bee, who relocated to South Harlesden after her divorce – a move that brought plenty of challenges, including Amanda working in retail (the horror!) and narrowly avoiding what looked set to be another failed marriage following a whirlwind romance.
But could a new romance be on the cards with her neighbour Mal? And what else will drive Anne to the brink of a nervous breakdown?
Season 2 will arrive on the BBC in 2026.
Amandaland is available to stream now on BBC iPlayer.
