Victoria Beckham will ‘forever cherish’ seeing husband David Beckham receive knighthood

Victoria Beckham will “forever cherish” the day her husband Sir David Beckham received a knighthood.

Victoria Beckham will ‘forever cherish’ seeing husband David Beckham receiving knighthood

The 50-year-old former England football captain was knighted by King Charles during an investiture ceremony at Windsor Castle on Tuesday (04.11.25) for his “services to sport and charity”.

Victoria, 51, was in attendance to support her significant other, and praised him as “the same kind, humble, hardworking man” she met 30 years ago.

She wrote on Instagram: “David, from the moment I met you 28 years ago, you’ve always been so proud to represent your country. Whether on or off the pitch, no one loves England or respects our Royal Family more, so to see you honoured by The King today is something I’ll forever cherish.

“You’ve achieved so much, and yet you’re still the same kind, humble, hardworking man I met nearly 30 years ago, as well as the most amazing husband and father.”

Victoria admitted she has “never felt prouder” of David – who she married in 1999 and has sons Brooklyn, 26, Romeo, 23, Cruz, 20, and daughter Harper, 14, with – than she did on the day he was knighted.

She added: “I’ve never felt prouder than I do today. Sir @davidbeckham, we all love you so much xxx (sic)”

The ceremony was also a special moment for Victoria’s fashion brand, because David wore the first bespoke menswear piece designed by her label, a custom charcoal-grey morning suit, to receive the honour.

And the suit had a royal seal of approval.

Afterwards, the former Manchester United player said of the king: “He was quite impressed with my suit.

“He’s kind of the most elegantly dressed man that I know, so he inspired quite a few of my looks over the years, and he definitely inspired this look.”

Speaking about his outfit’s design process, he said: “It was something that my wife made me.

“I looked at old pictures of him when he was quite young in morning suits and I was like, ‘OK, that’s what I want to wear,’ so I gave it to my wife and she did it.”

bitchy | Andrew Windsor will receive a lump-sum six-figure payment & a private annuity

by jummy84 November 3, 2025
written by jummy84

Last Friday, I did the math on Andrew Mountbatten Windsor’s “settlement” with King Charles, and by my calculations, Andrew is walking away with SO MUCH. My guess, last week, was that Andrew likely got a lump-sum payment to relinquish his lease on Royal Lodge, probably millions of dollars/pounds. He’s also getting: a rent-free home for life on the Sandringham estate; enough funding to ensure that he has household staff; security paid for by the crown; annual income, paid by Charles; protection from prosecution; and finally, the ability and freedom to travel, especially to the Middle East. But the most valuable thing Charles got in return, it seems, is the freedom to brief the media about how Andrew isn’t really getting that much. According to new reporting, Andrew is only receiving one six-figure lump-sum payment, plus a generous “annuity.”

The former Duke of York is in line to receive a large one-off payment and an annual stipend designed to prevent him overspending in his new life as a commoner, the Guardian understands.

One option for a relocation settlement, as the king strives for a “once and for all” solution to the problem of Andrew Mountbatten Windsor, includes an initial six-figure sum to cover his move from Royal Lodge in Windsor to private accommodation in Sandringham, Norfolk.

This would be followed by an annuity, paid from Charles’s private funds, and thought to be several times Mountbatten Windsor’s £20k-a-year navy pension, sources close to the matter said. Talks on the relocation package are believed to be ongoing.

Now stripped of his titles including prince and HRH, Mountbatten Windsor was struck from the official roll of the peerage just hours after Buckingham Palace announced the formal process had been initiated.

[From The Guardian]

Here’s the thing: while I could totally see Charles relishing having this kind of financial control over Andrew, I just think that the reporting on this situation is incomplete. Andrew is getting everything the Guardian describes… and more. Andrew held the upper hand in his negotiations with Charles, and one of the biggest issues was Andrew’s lease on Royal Lodge. While Charles/BP has made a big deal about serving Andrew with eviction papers, that’s all for show if you read the fine print – Andrew can only be “evicted” if he agrees to leave, and he would only agree to leave for a significant amount of cash. That’s what he’s been saying for years, Charles just refused to listen until now.

Currently, the Evening Standard points out that Andrew will be denied his “half a million pound compensation for giving up his lease on Royal Lodge.” Meaning, the Crown Estates will not pay the compensation. Because I’m almost positive that Andrew and Charles struck an off-the-books deal about Royal Lodge. The lack of Crown Estates compensation makes much more sense if you understand that Andrew is getting a different kind of settlement from Charles from his Duchy of Lancaster slumlord funds.

MAMA Awards 2025: BTS’ Jin, BLACKPINK’s Jennie and Rose and More Receive Major Nominations

by jummy84 October 17, 2025
written by jummy84

This year’s MAMA Awards 2025 is shaping up to be one of the biggest and most highly anticipated editions yet. The full list of nominations has officially been unveiled, and it is already stirring major buzz. BLACKPINK’s Jennie has secured the most nominations of the night. Close behind are fellow artistes like Rosé, SEVENTEEN, and aespa, all earning multiple nods.

Notably, while the BTS members have received individual nominations for their solo work, the group itself is absent from the group categories. One of the biggest surprises this year is the inclusion of the fictional K-Pop groups from KPop Demon Hunters, HUNTRIX and Saja Boys, who landed nominations in place of the actual artistes behind them.

Check out the full list of nominees below.

Miles Davis’ Kind of Blue and Nickel 1965 Receive Special Reissues

by jummy84 October 11, 2025
written by jummy84

A pair of classic Miles Davis releases are set for the reissue treatment.

Davis’ iconic 1959 album, Kind of Blue, will be issued by Analogue Productions as a 180-gram double LP 33 1/3 edition, with Side 4 cut at 45 RPM, on October 31st. The pressing is sourced from the original Classic Records parts mastered by Bernie Grundman directly from the original master tape.

Davis aficionados will be keen to know that long-standing speed issues caused by the motor on Columbia’s 3-track master recorder running slow that affected the first three tracks on the original recording (“So What,” “Freddie Freeloader,” and “Blue in Green”), have been corrected on this edition.

The album is packaged in a heavyweight Stoughton Printing “tip-on” gatefold jacket with a scuff-resistant matte finish, completed by a four-panel insert featuring speed-correction details and liner notes by the late music critic, Robert Palmer.

Pressed on standard black vinyl, there will also be a limited-edition blue vinyl version, limited to just 1,500 copies, available exclusively through Acoustic Sounds. In addition to the speed-corrected main program, Side 4 features an alternate take of “Flamenco Sketches” cut at 45 RPM for maximum fidelity. Pre-orders are ongoing.

Then, on January 30th, 2026, Columbia/Legacy Recordings will release Miles Davis – The Complete Live at the Plugged Nickel 1965 on vinyl and CD for the first time in 30 years.

The recordings feature Davis’s Second Great Quintet, which consisted of Wayne Shorter, Herbie Hancock, Ron Carter, and Tony Williams. Captured over two nights in a small Chicago club, the band was inspired by drummer Williams to play “anti-music,” culminating in their well-honed setlist being turned “inside out.” “We found ways to make the old music sound as new as the new music we were recording,” is how Davis described the results.

Originally released in 1995 as a Mosaic Records limited-edition LP box set, The Complete Live at the Plugged Nickel has been out of print every since. The 10xLP reissue edition comes in a newly designed slipcase with 10 individual jackets, along with a 40-page booklet. It will also be available in an 8xCD edition. Both will feature over seven hours of music, new liner notes by Syd Schwartz, and classic material by jazz historian Bob Blumenthal. Pre-orders are ongoing.

As a preview of the larger collection, a special standalone 2LP set, Live At The Plugged Nickel: December 23, 1965 – Second Set, will be released for RSD Black Friday on November 28th.

Liv Ullmann to Receive Career Award From European Film Academy

by jummy84 October 9, 2025
written by jummy84

Liv Ullmann will be honored during the upcoming European Film Awards with a career award celebrating her body of work as an actress, director and screenwriter.

Ullmann has been an international star since Ingmar Bergman’s 1966 arthouse hit “Persona.” Indeed, she is best-known for her collaborations with Bergman, acting in 10 of his films and directing two of his screenplays. Bergman was also the father of her daughter, author Lin Ullmann.

Ullmann is also known for her work with Swedish director Jan Troell in “The New Land” (1972) and “The Emigrants,” for which she was nominated for an Oscar, and with Italy’s Mauro Bolognini in “Farewell Moscow,” for which she won a David di Donatello award.

Ullmann’s first film as a director was ” Sofie” (1992), about the life of a Jewish woman in Copenhagen from 1886 to 1907, starring Karen-Lise Mynster, Erland Josephson and Ghita Nørby. That drama was followed by an adaptation of Nobel laureate Sigrid Undset’s great historical epic “Kristin Lavransdatter” (1995) set in 14th-century Norway, and “Private Confessions” (1996), written by Bergman and starring Pernilla August and Max von Sydow. Her film “Faithless” (2000), starring Lena Endre and Erland Josephson, premiered in competition at Cannes Film Festival and her most recent directorial effort is “Miss Julie” with Colin Farrell and Jessica Chastain.

“Liv Ullmann has helped to shape our understanding of European film,” the European Film Academy said in a statement.

The 38th edition of the European Film Awards will take place on Jan. 17, 2026, in Athens.

Squid Game’s global icon Lee Jung-jae has become the first Korean to be honored with the coveted Chaplin Award Asia. The Charlie Chaplin Foundation bestowed the honor on Lee in recognition of his influential role in Asian cinema and his incredible 30-year acting career.

Lee became an international sensation with his Emmy-winning performance as Seong Gi-hun in Netflix’s Squid Game, a desperate, down-on-his-luck fellow roped into a lethal game of survival. The show was an international phenomenon, shattering streaming records and winning multiple awards, including several Emmys. Lee became the first Asian actor to be awarded the Primetime Emmy Award for Outstanding Lead Actor in a Drama Series.

Organizers at the award ceremony cited Lee’s “persistent and positive impact on Asian cinema” during the award ceremony. In his acceptance speech, Lee said he was grateful and noted the legacy of Charlie Chaplin: “It’s nerve-wracking and humbling to accept an award in the name of Charlie Chaplin, a great filmmaker, artist, and creative icon. I hope to use this honor to have a positive influence as an Asian filmmaker.

Since its launch in 2018, Chaplin Award Asia has recognized other film legends including Tony Leung, Zhang Yimou, and Brigitte Lin.

Aside from Squid Game, Lee’s filmography boasts memorable performances in award-winning movies like Il Mare (2000), The Housemaid (2010), New World (2013), and Deliver Us from Evil (2020). Hailing as a model, he began acting in the 1990s and is now one of Korea’s most credible actors.

He recently entered Hollywood with a lead role in Star Wars: The Acolyte and is also all set to return to Korean TV in the upcoming tvN drama Nice to Not Meet You.

Prosecutors Pushing For Diddy To Receive 11-Year Sentence

by jummy84 September 30, 2025

Diddy, in the eyes of many, scored a huge legal victory in July when he was acquitted of racketeering and sex trafficking charges, yielding much less time in prison had he been convicted. The prosecution is resiliently pursuing an extended sentence for the 55-year-old artist for his two convictions for transportation to engage in prostitution.

Prosecutors asked a Manhattan judge to put Puff behind bars for 135 months and charge him a $500,000 fine, per Reuters. His sentencing takes place on Friday (Oct. 3) and will be led by U.S. District Judge Arun Subramanian.

After being convicted, his defense team sought the minimum sentence of 21 to 27 months, but the expectation was that he would spend 51 to 63 months, including time served. The maximum sentence for each conviction was 10 years.

The fallen mogul’s trial was controversial and traumatic. Cassie, his ex-girlfriend who first sued him for rape and trafficking, took the stand to tell her stories of their toxic relationship. Kid CuDi, Cassie’s ex-boyfriend, also testified, describing finding his car after the “I Need A Girl” artist allegedly attempted to blow it up. The Cleveland artist described a meeting he had with both of them, where Diddy acted like nothing had happened.

Several sex workers who participated in Puff’s alleged “freakoffs” also spoke under oath. They described disturbing scenes full of drugs, baby oil, and the former REVOLT chairman often sitting in the corner masturbating while watching them have sex with women. It was perhaps the most chaotic chapter of a two-year saga that included his Los Angeles and Miami properties being raided by Homeland Security and footage surfacing of him assaulting Cassie in a LA hotel in 2016.
