I can’t decide what’s more surprising: Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen’s joint appearance at New York Fashion Week or the fact that one of them was wearing jeans. Actually, I can.
The 39-year-old twins literally run a business together—a luxury fashion brand, no less—so it’s fair to assume they spend a lot of time together, whether or not those occasions are caught on camera. As co-founders of The Row, there’s probably no better setting for a sisters night out than a NYFW party hosted by Bloomingdales. So, while it’s been three years since their last public appearance, Ashley’s rip-free, straight-leg jeans felt even more rare.
While both twins are known to hit the red carpet in maxi dresses and skirts (or coats), they tend to move about the city in trousers and sweatpants. On September 11, Mary-Kate and Ashley largely stuck to their typical outfit formula, prioritizing comfort with luxe, oversized layers and sturdy leather accessories. In this case, Mary-Kate opted for a casual grey sweater and oversized blanket scarf, which she paired with square-toed black boots and what appears to be The Row’s Agnes bag.
Ashley Olsen’s straight-leg blue jeans, on the other hand, were an unexpected choice. She paired the structured, yet slightly faded denim with a black boot and bag combo of her own, finishing off the autumnal look with a long black wool coat and an oversized silky scarf. Like most millennials, the Olsen twins used to be huge proponents of skinny jeans before embracing more relaxed silhouettes in the 2020s, but it seems denim has lost its luster for them over the years. One of Mary-Kate’s most recent denim look came in June 2023, when she paired a vibrant red trench coat with ripped baggy jeans, gold loafers, and a massive Birkin bag in NYC. A year before that, Ashley wore a pair of ripped cigarette jeans, an oversized blazer, and loafers to her 36th birthday celebration.
South Park‘s latest episode kicked up the season‘s plot in ways no one predicted as it skewered the international tariffs that President Donald Trump has imposed since he reentered the Oval Office and also perhaps set up the end times for humanity, when Satan himself made a surprising revelation.
The episode’s plot mostly centers on South Park 4th grader Butters in a sticky situation when he finds out what the girl he is cruising on, Red, has a birthday coming up and the only thing her little heart desires is a Labubu doll, the popular stuffed animals that have become a collectible and also a bag charm. The only problem for young Butters — other than the fact that the dolls are driving young girls in South Park to get into fights and elsewhere, into a dark Satanic fugue state that ends with one little girl hanging herself — is that tariffs keep driving up the price of the sought-after dolls. From $85 to $120 overnight. Woof.
“You think I pay a tariff?” the City Wok owner chuckles in a direct nod to the American people. “No, no, no, you pay a tariff!”
Meanwhile, the press is hot on the tail of a killer story: President Trump and Satan are an item. The official line is that Satan has been “traveling with” the president, and Trump insists he and Satan are “just sort of hangin’ out,” but as the audience at home knows, the two are ensnared in a traditional narcissist-empath relationship. The story breaks and the whole world knows of Trump’s infidelity with the Dark Lord — but he ultimately has something more important to tell everyone.
Before that reveal, Fox News gets the South Park treatment as its on-air presenters say they loooooove the coupling and keep asking, with delicious wordplay, “Is Donald Trump fucking Satan?” The on-air personalities even take a moment to demonstrate how intercourse might play out between Trump at 6’3″ and Satan, who is physically twice Trump’s size. The animated Fox News personalities then display a clear idea of this physical act of love, on air, for the conservative-leaning audience.
A despondent Satan, who is holding a mystery box, is soon approached by a cut-out head representation of Vice President J.D. Vance, who provides a shoulder for the Dark Lord to cry on.
As for the A-plot, which in many ways is back-burnered to become the B-plot as the episode moves forward, Butters eventually manages to win a chance to get his beloved Red a Labubu in a claw grab machine. She opens it at her party and lo and behold, a rare Labubu is all hers. She asks Butters to come upstairs, where he films the girls as they sacrifice a live chicken to open a portal letting in some demonic forces arise, and who turns up? Trump and Satan.
Soon enough, Satan is telling the people the full truth: he is pregnant with Trump’s baby. Will this mean the end times? How could this happen? Fox News has the answer, of course, because this is South Park.
“Yeah, demonic pregnancies work a little differently. The term is ‘butt baby,’” a Fox News staffer remarks.
The next episode of South Park is scheduled to air on Sept. 17 at 10. p.m.

Stefon Diggs broke his silence with the media on Wednesday after weeks of speculation surrounding his demeanor during training camp.
Addressing comments from NBC Sports Boston’s Phil Perry and Tom Curran that he was “becoming a bit of a pain in the posterior,” Diggs responded, “I was referred to as a pain in the a**, pain in the posterior, but I’m going to say exactly what it really is. Obviously I don’t want to come across as that… If I rubbed anybody the wrong way, I’ll I really want to apologize.”
Diggs emphasized professionalism moving forward: “If somebody calls you an asshole and then they start acting like one. . . . I won’t. That’s not me.”

The Corporation for Public Broadcasting will be the recipient of the 2025 Governors Award at the Creative Arts Emmys, at which the Television Academy will recognize the organization’s five decades of “enriching America’s media landscape through funding and support for educational, cultural and public-interest programming,” the group announced on Tuesday.
On Sunday, Sept. 7, the trophy will be presented to Patricia de Stacy Harrison, the longest-serving president and CEO of the Corporation for Public Broadcasting. Harrison has led CPB since 2005 — through the complex streaming age, in other words.
Unfortunately, an Emmy Award itself is not real, solid gold, which is what CPB really needs these days. In July, Congress voted to eliminate all funding for the Corporation for Public Broadcasting. NPR and PBS were the highest-profile victims. In response, PBS has sued the Trump administration.
“The Governors Award recognizes and celebrates extraordinary contributions that transcend television and transform society,” Television Academy chair Cris Abrego said in a statement on Tuesday. “For more than half a century, CPB has been a steadfast champion of storytelling that informs, educates and unites us and ensures public media remains a vital space where diverse voices are heard and communities are served. With this award, we honor CPB’s enduring legacy and its extraordinary impact on the cultural and civic life of our nation.”
The Governors Award is bestowed by the Television Academy’s Board of Governors and honors an individual, company or organization that has made “a profound, transformational and long-lasting contribution to the arts and/or science of television.”
Previous recipients of the Governors Award include GLAAD, the Geena Davis Institute on Gender in Media, Debbie Allen, Greg Berlanti, Tyler Perry, Star Trek, American Idol, William S. Paley, Hallmark Cards Inc., Masterpiece Theatre, Comic Relief and PBS.
The Corporation for Public Broadcasting helped create PBS and has funded it, in part, for decades. It does not own PBS, however. Together, they have brought us iconic series like Sesame Street, Mister Rogers’ Neighborhood, Finding Your Roots, Reading Rainbow, Daniel Tiger’s Neighborhood and other seminal programming, including in the news space.
The 2025 Creative Arts Emmy Awards will be held over two consecutive nights, Saturday, Sept. 6, and Sunday, Sept. 7, at the Peacock Theater at L.A. LIVE. Henry brings extensive experience from his role as Public Catering Manager at MKM Stadium, home of Hull City and Hull FC, and has been a dedicated member of the Stadium Experience community for over a decade.
This summer, Henry and his team celebrated a major achievement—winning their second Best Retail Catering Award in just three years at the independently judged Stadium Events & Hospitality Awards.
Founded in 2002, Stadium Experience aims to promote stadia as premier venues for conferences, meetings, and events, while encouraging best practice and raising industry standards. In 2017, the association expanded to include a dedicated public catering arm, offering stadium venues a platform to share expertise, collaborate, and strive for continued excellence in catering services.
In his new role, Henry will join the Stadium Experience Leadership Team, serving as the voice of public catering professionals at stadium venues across the UK. This voluntary team drives the strategic direction of the association and includes industry leaders from venues nationwide:
Henry began his career with thirteen years in a national recruitment agency, overseeing head office functions, national accounts, contracts, and team leadership. He then transitioned into the charity sector, spending three years in fundraising roles for various national and international organisations.
Fourteen years ago, Henry accepted what was meant to be a one-time opportunity assisting the matchday hospitality team at the then KC Stadium. His enthusiasm and talent quickly stood out, leading to a permanent role as Deputy General Manager. He later found his true passion in his current role as Public Catering Manager.
Henry has since led a team that continuously challenges the status quo in stadium catering—introducing street food concepts on concourses, building a strong social media presence, and consistently delivering high-street quality food to fans. His team’s innovative approach has earned industry acclaim, including two Best Retail Catering wins at The Stadium Events & Hospitality Awards.
He now takes over the Chair of Public Catering role from Nav Daine, who founded and led this arm of Stadium Experience for the past seven years.
Henry commented: “I’d like to thank Nav Daine for his outstanding leadership of the Public Catering group within Stadium Experience. From the very beginning, Nav has been the driving force behind the group’s success, and his dedication, passion, and willingness to support others has made a lasting impact on me and many others.

Mo’Nique is doubling down on her long-running feud with Tyler Perry, calling him out for what she says was a career-damaging falsehood.
