bitchy | Will the British police actually investigate Prince Andrew with this new information?

by jummy84 October 20, 2025

There’s going to be a wall-to-wall royal catastrophe this week as the fallout from Prince Andrew’s degeneracy continues. On Friday, Andrew was allowed to “give up” his ducal title and his royal honors, all part of a private deal he worked out with King Charles. Then over the weekend, the Mail published never-before-seen emails and documents from the Epstein files. Additionally, excerpts from Virginia Giuffre’s book, Nobody’s Girl, continue to come out. Now we know that Andrew got a hold of Virginia’s Social Security number and information, and he gave that information to his police contacts because he wanted to harm and smear Virginia. Now it’s possible that Andrew could face an actual police investigation in the UK?

Prince Andrew faces becoming the first member of the Royal family to be investigated by police for more than 20 years after he was accused of trying to use his protection officer to smear his teenage sex abuse accuser. The Metropolitan Police is “actively looking into” allegations that he asked his taxpayer-funded bodyguard to investigate Virginia Giuffre after obtaining both her date of birth and social security number.

He then told Ed Perkins, Elizabeth II’s then deputy press secretary, that he had asked one of his officers to dig up information about Giuffre, according to a leaked email. A Scotland Yard spokesman said: “We are aware of media reporting and are actively looking into the claims made.”

The Prince could potentially face a criminal investigation in the US for sharing Giuffre’s nine-digit social security number without her consent. Spencer Kuvin, the lawyer who represented nine victims of Jeffrey Epstein – the late paedophile who abused Giuffre – suggested that the Prince could face a hefty jail sentence, noting that it was a crime to knowingly transfer, possess or use, without consent, another person’s social security number.

“Penalties for this crime are very severe and can be up to 15 years in prison,” he said. The US Social Security Act also protects this information. “Given the information disclosed so far it appears that Andrew may have violated both of these acts. The FBI should immediately open an investigation into his actions and request that Andrew subject himself to an interview. Both the US and British authorities should not protect this awful individual. The world should hold Andrew accountable and show everyone that justice matters.”

The Met has looked into allegations relating to the Prince and Epstein’s activities in London three times and opted not to investigate. In October 2021, Scotland Yard announced that it would take “no further action” against Prince Andrew after reviewing legal documents from the civil case brought by Giuffre. But Sigrid McCawley, Giuffre’s former lawyer, said on Sunday that the newly unearthed emails warranted a “thorough investigation” into the force’s actions.

She told The Telegraph: “For too long the Metropolitan Police has been a pawn for the powerful and privileged. Weaponising the criminal justice system to discredit and debase survivors is wrong and cannot be tolerated. These new revelations warrant a thorough investigation and a new examination of actions taken by Prince Andrew and the Metropolitan Police to silence the bravery of Virginia Giuffre.”

Buckingham Palace staff could also face questions over what they knew and what they knew about the sharing of Giuffre’s private information.

[From The Telegraph]

I absolutely hope that the Met Police investigate Andrew thoroughly, but I doubt it will happen. Or rather, they’ll announce a splashy investigation, then they’ll slow-walk it and eventually do nothing about him. Meanwhile, various MPs are now calling on Prime Minister Keir Starmer to change the law so that Andrew can be formally stripped of all or some of his titles. Right now, Andrew’s York ducal title is only “in abeyance,” meaning not used, or the title has been suspended. Andrew Lownie (a royal biographer) pointed out that Starmer would only have to tweak the Peerage Act of 1963 to really strip Andrew of his York title. But Andrew would still be a prince.

I also wanted to show this clip of Emily Maitlis speaking over the weekend. Maitlis interviewed Andrew in 2019, in what was the “beginning of the end” for Andrew, and part of this now six-year cover-up.

Very powerful interview from @maitlis on the removal of Prince Andrew’s titles. From her original work on Newsnight & still now she demonstrates that her work is for the targets & survivors of Epstein (& their families) – vitally prioritising truth in an age of convenient lies. pic.twitter.com/OdtZKT5gef

The Heir Apparent: Ibrahim Ali Khan’s Regal Cover Has Fans Anointing Him ‘Prince Of Pataudi’

by jummy84 October 20, 2025
written by jummy84

In what is being hailed as a spectacular royal arrival, Ibrahim Ali Khan, the much-anticipated actor-in-the-making, has set the internet ablaze with his latest magazine cover for Lifestyle Asia India. Channeling the very essence of his Pataudi lineage, the October 2025 cover shoot has fans and fashion critics alike in agreement: Bollywood’s new “Prince of Pataudi” has officially made his presence known.

The son of actor Saif Ali Khan and his first wife, Amrita Singh, Ibrahim has long been in the spotlight, but this new photoshoot marks a significant shift from a “star kid” to a formidable new face in the industry. The cover itself is a masterclass in regal elegance. Shot against a rich, classic backdrop, Ibrahim is seen wearing a stunning black silk velvet bandhgala by veteran designer Sabyasachi. The ensemble is accessorized with a striking double-string pearl necklace and a sophisticated Panerai watch, a look that seems to be a direct nod to the timeless style of his father and his grandfather, the late Mansoor Ali Khan Pataudi.

The magazine, which dubbed him “the new prince on the block,” perfectly captured his “regal charm and captivating aura.” The entire spread further solidifies this “prince” narrative. In other shots, Ibrahim effortlessly transitions between classic and contemporary royalty. One photograph features him in an ethereal off-white sherwani by Abu Jani Sandeep Khosla, complete with a magnificent pearl and ruby necklace, looking every bit the part of aristocratic heir. In another, he presents a more modern, dapper look in a crisp black tuxedo by Manish Malhotra, proving his versatility and his ability to carry both traditional and Western silhouettes with an innate grace.

However, the most significant impact of the cover has been the explosive reaction from fans, who have flooded social media with praise. The consensus is unanimous: Ibrahim is a “carbon copy” of a young Saif Ali Khan. His sharp jawline, deep-set eyes, and poised demeanor have drawn immediate and countless comparisons to his father’s early days in Bollywood.

The comment sections of the magazine’s and Ibrahim’s social media posts were a testament to his captivating presence. “Royalty personified,” one user wrote. “This is not just a photoshoot, this is an announcement. The Prince of Pataudi is here!” declared another. Other comments ranged from “He has that regal aura that you just can’t manufacture” to “He defines the word ‘prince’ in every way.” The overwhelming sentiment is that Ibrahim possesses a rare blend of his father’s undeniable charm and his mother’s striking features.

This photoshoot is more than just a fashion statement; it’s a powerful branding move. As Ibrahim stands on the precipice of his highly anticipated Bollywood debut, this cover serves as a perfect introduction. It positions him not merely as another industry newcomer, but as the heir to a cinematic and literal dynasty. While details of his upcoming projects are still under wraps, this “regal” unveiling has exponentially increased the buzz surrounding his debut.
In an industry saturated with new talent, Ibrahim Ali Khan’s Lifestyle Asia cover has effectively carved out a unique space for him. He isn’t just bringing his talent; he’s bringing a legacy. The fans have spoken, and they can’t get enough of the “Pataudi bloodline” and the “royal elegance” that Ibrahim Ali Khan so effortlessly embodies.

bitchy | Prince William wants credit for Prince Andrew giving up his titles & honors

by jummy84 October 20, 2025
written by jummy84

Included in this post are some photos of Prince William out in London on Friday. He barely works, full-stop, but he rarely works on Fridays in particular. The event was William visiting the London Ambulance Service, where it looked like he was awkwardly making small-talk with EMTs and then awkwardly sitting at a big kids’ table and making “I’m listening” faces. By most accounts, this was his last bit of work before he and his family took off for the kids’ school break. God knows when we’ll see him again.

I bring up his family holiday, because William and his office want people to believe that William is responsible for what happened with Prince Andrew on Friday. Throughout the day, there was a persistent buzz that Buckingham Palace was going to make a move on Andrew, or that some kind of news would be forthcoming. It was all centered on what King Charles would do, and the potential conversations between the brothers (Charles and Andrew). In the first few hours after Andrew’s big announcement – that he would no longer use his ducal titles or his honors – the story remained centered on Andrew and Charles, and their consultation with each other. It still seems to be that this was all a generous deal struck between brothers, especially given that Andrew will retain Royal Lodge. Well, a short time later, William wanted credit for the Andrew situation.

People Magazine kept it simple, merely stating that William had been “consulted” about Andrew’s decision to “give up” his titles. GB News said the same – a mere consultation about the situation, and that consultation could have been an email or text for all we know. The Sun fleshed out some of the details – Charles was in Scotland in the past week, and he was on the phone with his courtiers and with Andrew, “leading frantic negotiations.” At some point, Charles “held crunch talks” with William about the situation. The Sun also points out that William won’t be happy about Andrew remaining at Royal Lodge, which is only half a mile away from Forest Lodge, the Waleses’ new forever home. Well, all of this vague “consultation” has led the Royalist to one inevitable conclusion: this was a huge victory for the Scooter King! Some macabre highlights from “The Fall of Prince Andrew is The First Great Triumph of King William V.”

William is responsible for all of this: Prince Andrew was publicly humiliated yesterday, forced to renounce his ducal title, and is now a duke only in memory. Buckingham Palace is furiously spinning the stripping of his titles as the personification of a resolute monarch, but let’s be very clear: the practical author of Andrew’s public annihilation is his nephew, the Prince of Wales. The announcement may have come from the office of the king, but it was William who wrote the latest chapter (one dare not say the ending because I’m told William still believes too many privileges remain to Andrew).

King Charles is dying: What the Palace refused to say [last year] —what the British papers continue not to print—is that the diagnosis was grave from the start. Reporters on the at times almost corrupt “royal rota” (a press pool) have spread the fiction of the “doing brilliantly” monarch. But everyone can see the truth: Charles looks exhausted, he has lost alarming weight, and he is still receiving regular radiotherapy and immunotherapy. He spends long stretches at Highgrove and Balmoral in near-total rest.

William has been gunning for Andrew since Charles’s cancer diagnosis: The announcement of Charles’s illness fired the starting gun on what courtiers call “the change of reign.” From that moment, power began to flow from the king to the heir. And from that moment, William’s patience—for his father’s sentimentality, for his brother’s chaos, and for his uncle’s entitlement—ran out.

William hated being ordered to chauffeur Andrew at Balmoral: William’s determination to do something permanent about Andrew when he becomes king can be traced to a single, humiliating moment: Balmoral, August 2023. William was ordered to drive Andrew to church. At that moment, Charles hadn’t pre-announced his own death. He was the all-powerful monarch who had to be obeyed. So William obeyed. The image—grim-faced heir behind the wheel, the disgraced Duke beside him—circulated around the world. William’s aides briefed furiously afterward that he had been obliged to do it, that it was not his wish. Those who know William say the episode hardened him. “That,” said one, “was the day he decided he would never be made to do something like that again.”

The Waleses refused to go to Christmas lunch in 2023: In retaliation, he refused to attend Christmas lunch with his family at Sandringham that year after learning Andrew and Sarah would be there. Charles imagined that inviting Andrew and Sarah Ferguson to join the family walk to church at Sandringham Christmas 2023 would be taken as a gesture of magnanimity. It was read as proof of delusion by William, who was incandescent.

William’s succession plan: “This is the pre-succession,” one former courtier told me. “It’s what Charles did to the Queen when he fired her private secretary, Christopher Geidt. Only now it’s being done to him.” William, for his part, has no interest in the sentimental family unity that his father prizes. He sees the monarchy as a brand, and Andrew (and Harry) as hugely damaging to it. His view, expressed repeatedly to aides, is that his uncle should never again be in the presence of the monarch. When Andrew attempted to get into a photograph at the Duchess of Kent’s funeral in September, William’s fury was instant.

William is already lobbying for credit: Intriguingly, the media looks ready to credit William for Andrew’s downfall. I’m noting repeated references to his role in reports, and I expect a lot of lobbying from his side on the matter in the next few days and weeks.

The Scooter King’s Letters Patent: But William, I am told, isn’t finished. When he ascends to the throne, I am told he will issue new letters patent (as royal executive orders are known) to strip Andrew (and Harry, Archie, Lilibet, Eugenie, and Beatrice) of their HRH and Princely titles. “When the king announced he had cancer,” said one palace source, “the reins slipped overnight.”

[From The Royalist Substack]

I like how the pro-Scooter royalists are gleeful at the thought of a vengeful, enraged, incandescent, jealous and punitive king. They’re rubbing their hands together at the thought of all of the screeching vengeance from the Scooter King, but they forget that William actually doesn’t give a sh-t about much, and he’s also lazy as hell. Sure, William is lobbying for credit for this Andrew situation, but you can actually tell from the quiet generosity of the “deal” that William had nothing to do with it. The deal is classic Charles – a half-measure, mid-dither, with barely enough red meat to appease the critics. Don’t get me wrong, I’m sure William despises his uncle and I’m sure William wants Andrew completely gone. But I just don’t believe William had much to do with what happened to Andrew on Friday. Maybe I’m wrong! Who knows. As for the new letters patent… lmao. It is what it is. William will look absolutely pathetic, but he’s too stupid to understand that.

bitchy | Guardian: Prince William ‘should release his children’ from the ‘royal family brand’

by jummy84 October 19, 2025
written by jummy84

Do you believe that Prince Andrew’s many sordid scandals will mark a turning point for the Windsor clan? Do you think it’s all downhill from here, and that the Windsors will never recover from it? Eh. I don’t know. Granted, I think Andrew has been completely awful for decades, and it says something about the institution that he’s still being protected and coddled to this degree. I’m just not sure how much of it is really being absorbed by the general public. What’s changed, this week, is that there’s been a willingness to write about how bad it actually is for the Windsors as a whole. The Guardian’s Simon Jenkins wrote this: “The latest Prince Andrew abuse claims are a new low for the Royal Family. In this form, it can’t survive.” Some highlights:

A disaster waiting to happen: The royal family was always a disaster waiting to happen. Its creation as a marketable entity in the 1960s by the late Queen Elizabeth II was meant to “modernise” the monarchy for the 20th century. It worked, but only up to a point. Her son Prince Andrew has long been its biggest liability, this week in trouble yet again due to his alleged behaviour within that ghoulish circle, the friends of Jeffrey Epstein.

The postwar Windsors: Queen Elizabeth was not to retreat like other postwar European monarchs at the time into an anonymous obscurity, to stick to their bicycles. She would refresh Britain’s semi-divine concept of monarchy as embodied in an “ordinary family”. It was portrayed as “the Firm”, a term that originated with Elizabeth’s father, George VI. It worked. The family looked lovely as their young children picnicked by a Scottish loch. The film was watched and admired by millions. But there was a lurking risk. One day the same children would be different. They would be tormented teenagers, rampaging twentysomethings and matrimonial casualties. They might be offered grand palaces and safe jobs, “representing” the monarch the length and breadth of the land. But then what? Would they all behave? It was like writing a play when you have already cast the actors. The children became instant global celebrities.

So many crises in the 1990s: Another crisis came in 1997 with the death of Diana and its initially woeful mishandling by the late queen. Her personal approval rating sank to an all-time low of 57%. Charles’s fell to 40%. Serious questions were raised of the future of the crown. At such times monarchy has nowhere to turn for sustenance but to public opinion. Its image is dependent on the media and the reaction to how it performs its rituals.

The bicycle monarchies: The so-called cycling monarchies such as Norway, Sweden, Denmark, the Netherlands and Belgium did not go down the same path as the late queen. They became figureheads, anthropomorphic thrones, legacies of history and tradition, but they hold office strictly at the declaration of elected parliaments. Such monarchs practise none of Britain’s nonsense about religious anointment. They head up no “family firm”. Their relatives, close and distant, can go about their normal lives and do normal jobs. The king of the Netherlands still occasionally pilots a KLM jet.

William must plan a different kind of monarchy: Prince Andrew was already being eased out of the limelight before the publication of Virginia Giuffre’s memoir. The next move is for the future king, William, to plan a refashioned monarchy. He has already indicated his intention to live not in London but in a modest house in Windsor Park. He will presumably hand his Westminster estate to the government, and its gardens to the public. That would be all to the good. But above all, William should release his children. He should do away with the royal family brand, disband the Firm and take to his bicycle. No more Andrews.

[From The Guardian]

The thing is, Prince William has been telegraphing his agreement with this advice for some time. His view of the British monarchy is one of radical downsizing. Mostly, his idea of a downsized monarchy is that he still has all of the money, castles and power, but very few of the responsibilities and a fraction of the workload of his father, grandmother or great-grandfather. The idea of William “releasing his children” is interesting too, and I suspect that William actually has no desire for any of his children to “work for the Firm” in any way. When we talked about his appearance on the Reluctant Traveler, I brought up the old gossip, the pre-Sussex gossip, that there was always a sense that William was a closet republican anyway, and that he didn’t actually want to be king. Post-Sussex, it often feels like William now wants to be king solely because it’s something his brother can’t have.

bitchy | Mail: Prince Harry looked ‘sad, anxious & tired’ at last week’s PHM gala

by jummy84 October 19, 2025
written by jummy84

It’s been over a week and Abandonment Issues Isle is still big mad about the Duke and Duchess of Sussex’s Humanitarians of the Year Award from Project Healthy Minds. The British press is so mad, they still can’t even decide which attack line to use, which gives the (correct) impression that they’re simply grim, hateful and bitter about every single thing. A sample of the attacks they’ve churned through in the past week: the Sussexes don’t deserve a humanitarian award; Meghan wore expensive clothes; Meghan owns multiple pairs of shoes; Meghan is out of touch for owning shoes and clothes; the Sussexes’ unhappy marriage caused them to do separate events in New York; they obviously can’t wait to return to the UK; Harry looked mad and depressed because we said so, don’t believe your lying eyes! That last one has been aggressively pushed by the British tabloids, who ignored all of the photos of Harry smiling and all of the videos of Harry groping Meghan’s ass. Well, now the Mail has spoken to a mystery “royal watcher” who was in the audience at the Project Healthy Minds events, and would you believe, this royal watcher has talking points which appealed perfectly to the Daily Mail.

Prince Harry appeared ‘sad, anxious and tired’ during their pseudo-royal tour of New York after he and Meghan Markle collected their ‘Humanitarians of the Year’ Award. The Sussexes’ were also described as ‘very businesslike’ together by someone who said they were watching from the audience of the World Mental Health Festival the couple supported last week.

The royal watcher suggested that the Duke and Duchess of Sussex may have been affected by a lack of crowds to greet them at Friday’s event run by Project Healthy Mind, describing the festival as ‘bleak’.

She said of Harry: ‘You got the impression his life had taken a wrong turn’, adding: ‘Harry just looked sad, anxious and tired. He obviously hates speaking in front of a crowd’.

The Sussexes’ Archewell Foundation sponsored three panels at the festival, focusing specifically on their passion projects: the mental health crisis amongst young people and online safety.

The anonymous audience member said: ‘I had hoped that they would be on the panel but each got up and read a speech from a teleprompter to kick off a session each’.

Following three panels of discussion, Meghan and Harry got up together, hugged some people who took part in the festival and left together to have lunch with Serena Williams at Soho House. The woman watching in the crowd claimed: ‘It felt so bleak. No crowds to greet them. And was very businesslike between the two of them. Was so interesting to see them in person’, the account on a royal-related Substack claimed.

[From The Daily Mail]

“It felt so bleak” – the subject matter involved the perils of social media and some of the people in the audience had lost children to suicide. It wasn’t supposed to feel like a super-sixteen party. It “was very businesslike between the two of them.” I mean, during the day event on World Mental Health Day, the atmosphere was supposed to be businesslike. There was actual work being done, awareness being raised and important issues being discussed. Granted, at the PHM gala on Thursday night, there was a lighter atmosphere, and that’s when Harry was all smiles because his hand was cupping his favorite peach. All of this just goes to show that the Mail and other British outlets really just twist, misrepresent and outright lie to get a certain narrative out there. They’re doing all of this to convince people that, what? Harry is unhappy with Meghan, soon he’ll divorce her and come back to the UK! And on the other side of the Atlantic, the Mail is constantly doing clean-up on the years of really obvious estrangement and visible unhappiness from the other couple. Projection, thy name is Daily Fail.

Dr. Dre, Ice-T, Snoop Dogg & Arabian Prince Unite for Animated Crime Series “Tehk City”

Hip-hop icons Dr. Dre, Ice-T, Snoop Dogg, and Arabian Prince are teaming up for an animated action drama titled Tehk City. The project, which Deadline describes as “gritty and stylized,” comes from Ambitious Entertainment and promises to blend street realism with futuristic storytelling.

According to Deadline, Dr. Dre will compose the original score for the series, while each artist will create and perform custom theme music for their respective characters — blending their musical legacies with the show’s dark, cinematic tone.

The voice cast brings serious star power. Ice-T, who also co-created the series alongside Arabian Prince and Tommy the Animator, will voice Mayor Chuck Davis. Snoop Dogg will play Pretty Black, and Arabian Prince will take on the role of Kenyatta Prince.

Additional cast members include Coco as Rhonda Knuckles, Treach as Maniac Maxx, plus appearances from Tracy Morgan, Mike Epps, Busta Rhymes, Roxanne Shanté, and others.

Tehk City is based on the graphic novel Death for Hire: The Origin of Tehk City, which first introduced the gritty underworld that the animated series will now expand. The story follows complex characters navigating power, loyalty, and betrayal in a crime-ridden city — with a soundtrack that reflects hip-hop’s raw edge.

Arabian Prince told Deadline, “Starring the homie Ice-T and a list of stars never before seen in one place, get ready to explore the origin leading up to the animated series of Tehk City — y’all ain’t ready.”

The project marks a major crossover between music and animation, uniting hip-hop’s most legendary voices in a world built from their own cultural influence.

bitchy | Republic wants a full disclosure of Prince William & Kate’s meager schedule

by jummy84 October 18, 2025
written by jummy84

Republic, the anti-monarchy group in the UK, is having a hell of a week. Republic’s chief executive Graham Smith has been all over the Prince Andrew stories, making some excellent points about how the Windsors are treating Andrew like a family problem to be buried. As opposed to treating Andrew like a rapist criminal who should be investigated by British and American authorities. Well, Republic is also making another big move. They’re calling for a full disclosure of the Windsors’ bare-bones work schedules. Republic wants a full accounting of how few events the “working royals” actually do, especially the Prince and Princess of Wales.

Campaigners have called for a full disclosure of “just how little the royals do” following media coverage of Prince William and Kate Middleton’s visit to Northern Ireland. Despite media outlets reporting his visit to Northern Ireland this week, anti-monarchy group Republic has shared records showing Prince William has a “work-shy” schedule. Data taken from the court circular – the official record of past royal engagements – shows William only has only had engagements on 13 days in the space of two and a half months between August 1 and October 15 and several of these are described as “brief”. Republic says it suggests he engaged in “the full-time equivalent of three to four days of engagements” during the period.

Graham Smith, chief executive of Republic, said the royal family give a “false impression” of being busy and has called for more honesty.

“The palace likes to paint a picture of busy royals supporting good causes. The reality is a workshy family who occasional patronise charities – usually a short drive from Windsor – to give an entirely false impression. William and Kate are particularly lazy, putting in just a few weeks full-time equivalent of engagements, while the public pay William a private income of more than £23 million a year. We need full and honest disclosure about just how little the royals do and negligible impact they have on public life.”

August was completely blank in William’s calendar before a “brief visit” to the Natural History Museum in London appears on September 4. He then went to a rugby match on September 6 before visiting Ascot and going to a couple of Homewards engagements – a programme he launched to tackle homelessness – the following week. The only other engagements he had in September were brief visits to Cardiff and Southport, private meetings, a charity dinner, investiture, and a video call with organisation Earthshot.

An investiture ceremony is a formal event where someone receives an official title, rank, or award. He has only had five days in October so far with engagements scheduled so far including a brief meeting with the Estonian president and a charity launch event. During their first visit to Northern Ireland for three years, William and Kate met recently-qualified firefighters and visited farms.

A 27-page report from Republic last year laid out how the royal household now costs the taxpayer £500m a year. The estimated price tag of £510m included hundreds of millions of pounds not accounted for by the Sovereign Grant – a payment that is made annually to the monarch to help fund their official duties. Republic said the bill for the royals included lost income from the Duchies of Lancaster and Cornwall, as well as an estimated £150m security bill, costs to struggling local councils and lost revenue from state buildings used exclusively by the royals. It was confirmed in July that soaring profits from the Crown Estate to £1.1 billion mean the taxpayer-funded Sovereign Grant will increase from £86.3m in 2024/2025 to £132m in 2025/2026.

[From The National]

I didn’t realize that this week was Will & Kate’s first time in Northern Ireland in three years!! I knew it had been a while for Kate, but I thought William had traveled there more recently. Guess not. That’s crazy. “Despite media outlets reporting his visit to Northern Ireland this week…” That was just one day. The National is like “but we saw him working this week!” Because I keep track of these things for this job, William and Kate had one day of real work in Northern Ireland on Tuesday, where they jammed in several events over the course of several hours (Kate even had a costume change). On Wednesday, Will and Kate did a “greeting” with Jordan’s Crown Prince Hussein and his wife. William and Hussein then did a second event at an RAF base while Kate… went home and sulked, apparently. I guess my point is that yes, William and Kate are extremely lazy. William actually works more than Kate, but people don’t realize it because William’s solo events get so little attention. Even for William and Kate’s regular, decades-long laziness, they’ve been exceptionally lazy this year. They skipped the BAFTAs because they went on vacation. They had a long summer holiday. They’ve gone on at least three ski holidays this year. The only reason why we saw them at all in September is because Prince Harry visited the UK. “Competing with the Sussexes” explains more than half of their events this year.

bitchy | Prince Andrew has given up his royal titles & honors, but he’s keeping Royal Lodge

by jummy84 October 18, 2025
written by jummy84

I swear, the Windsors really have to stop with these late Friday news dumps. When I left my house this afternoon, there were several increasingly urgent stories about Prince Andrew, the Duke of York. Last weekend, Andrew’s 2011 email to Jeffrey Epstein was published by the Daily Mail – that email proved that Andrew lied about when he broke off contact with Epstein, and the email also suggested that Andrew and Epstein planned to continue seeing each other and abusing women and girls together. Throughout the past week, the fallout has been limited to palace sources openly dithering about what to do next, all while emphasizing that they believed dealing with Prince Harry was a “greater priority” for the Firm. Well, I was wrong – I thought nothing would come out of this latest round of dithering about Andrew. But something happened. Andrew is now giving up all of his titles and honors.

Prince Andrew is discontinuing the use of his royal titles and honors.

In a statement released by Buckingham Palace on Friday, Oct. 17, Prince Andrew said he will no longer use his title or honors as it distracts from the work of King Charles and the royal family.

Andrew, 65, said in the statement, “In discussion with The King, and my immediate and wider family, we have concluded the continued accusations about me distract from the work of His Majesty and the Royal Family. I have decided, as I always have, to put my duty to my family and country first. I stand by my decision five years ago to stand back from public life.”

“With His Majesty’s agreement, we feel I must now go a step further. I will therefore no longer use my title or the honours which have been conferred upon me,” he continued. “As I have said previously, I vigorously deny the accusations against me.”

To officially strip Prince Andrew’s titles, it would require an act of parliament.

Andrew’s ex-wife, Sarah Ferguson, will no longer use her Duchess of York title. She has long gone by Sarah Ferguson professionally and will now use that name in all areas of her life, PEOPLE understands. The former couple will also continue to reside at their residence, Royal Lodge, on the Windsor Castle estate, as Andrew has a private tenancy agreement with The Crown Estate, which is unaffected by issues relating to his titles.

PEOPLE also understands that Andrew will not attend any of the royal family’s Christmas celebrations.

The former couple’s daughters, Princess Beatrice and Princess Eugenie, will not have their titles affected by this decision.

Prince Andrew has been styled as “His Royal Highness” since birth. Upon his marriage to Sarah Ferguson in 1986, his mother, Queen Elizabeth, gave him the titles of Duke of York, Earl of Inverness and Baron Killyleagh. The Duke of York is the traditional title for the sovereign’s second son, and the elite peerage has a rich royal history. According to British etiquette expert Debrett’s, the dukedom has been traditionally conferred upon the second son of the monarch since Edward IV in 1474. Queen Elizabeth’s father, King George VI, was also known as the Duke of York prior to the shocking abdication of his elder brother, King Edward VIII, in 1936.

[From People]

The Royal Lodge thing is interesting, almost as if that was part of the agreement – Andrew gave up his titles and honors, in exchange for keeping his lease on Royal Lodge. I’ve got to wonder if Charles threw in a few more perks to sweeten the deal, like Andrew will still be allowed to host shooting parties on privately-owned royal property (Windsor, Sandringham, Balmoral). It’s also interesting that Sarah is officially giving up her Duchess of York title too, although people already went back to using her maiden name anyway. Whew… well, it had to be done. And a lot more should be done as well, including Andrew agreeing to be interviewed in the long-running criminal investigations in the UK and America. Also: should we call him Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor now?

Prince Andrew has confirmed he will relinquish all of his royal titles including Duke of York

The disgraced 65-year-old, who has been mired in the Jeffrey Epstein scandal for years, made the announcement in a statement released on Friday (17.10.25), hours after reports he had held talks with King Charles about giving them up.

He said: “In discussion with The King, and my immediate and wider family, we have concluded the continued accusations about me distract from the work of His Majesty and the Royal Family.

“I have decided, as I always have, to put my duty to my family and country first. I stand by my decision five years ago to stand back from public life.

“With His Majesty’s agreement, we feel I must now go a step further. I will therefore no longer use my title or the honours which have been conferred upon me. As I have said previously, I vigorously deny the accusations against me.”

Charles is reportedly “glad” with the outcome.

Andrew and his ex-wife Sarah Ferguson, 65, were given their titles Duke and Duchess of York on their wedding day in 1986 – and she will also drop her Duchess title.

Andrew remains Duke of York but the title will not be used and

he will not attend family celebrations for Christmas at Sandringham, according to The Sun.

Despite handing his royal titles back he will remain at Royal Lodge as he has a “cast iron” tenancy until 2078.

It follows a series of damaging revelations about Andrew’s continued contact with convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein.

The Sun on Sunday reported the Duke of York was found to have lied about cutting ties with the disgraced financier, after an email surfaced in which he told Epstein: “We are in this together.”

The message, dated 29 February 2011, came just one day after the now-infamous photograph of Andrew with Virginia Giuffre was made public.

According to The Telegraph, the King met with his brother at Buckingham Palace earlier this week, after which Andrew agreed to give up his remaining royal titles.

Sources told the newspaper palace aides had reached “tipping point” and believed the monarchy had “no choice but to act” following the latest disclosures about Epstein.

The decision marks the most severe action yet taken against Andrew, who was stripped of his military titles, royal patronages and HRH style by Queen Elizabeth II in January 2022 after a US judge ruled he must face a civil sexual assault case brought by Jeffrey Epstein sex trafficking victim Virginia Giuffre.

Andrew later settled the case for an undisclosed sum without admitting liability and has consistently denied having sex with her.

Virginia, who died by suicide in April aged 41, is making posthumous claims in her forthcoming autobiography Nobody’s Girl, alleging she was trafficked to Andrew by Epstein and Ghislaine Maxwell as a teenager.

In the book, due to be released on 21 October, she reportedly writes Andrew viewed their encounters as his “birth right” and said “thank you” to her in a “clipped British accent”.

Virginia also claims Maxwell told her the morning after the alleged encounter: “You did well, the prince had fun.”

Earlier this year, Andrew was also linked to a separate controversy involving alleged contact with a Chinese spy.

Leaked documents from 2019 showed that he had met with Chinese officials, including Yang Tengbo, and sought to use his royal connections to raise £2.4 billion for an international technology initiative.

Security sources later described the relationship as a potential “threat to national security”.

Prince Andrew Gives Up Royal Titles Amid Jeffrey Epstein Allegations

While Epstein died by suicide in 2019 in a New York jail while awaiting trial on sex trafficking charges, Giuffre filed a federal lawsuit against the Prince Andrew in 2021.

The royal settled the suit the following year, though he has continued to deny that the two engaged in any sexual relations.

“I have no recollection of ever meeting this lady,” Andrew said during a BBC Newsnight interview at the time, “none whatsoever.”

The is now the second time that Prince Andrew has had changes to made to his titles, as in 2022 Queen Elizabeth, months before her death, stripped him of his military affiliations and royal patronages amid the sexual abuse case.
