bitchy | Humphrey Ker: Prince William was ‘sweet & sensible,’ Harry was a ‘maniac’

Last year, on St. David’s Day (March 1), Prince William made his way to Wrexham. His wife was still missing at this point, no one had seen her for about ten weeks. William’s behavior during this time was bizarre. He was allegedly in Wales to do some Welsh-themed events for the holiday, but his very first stop was at a Wrexham pub where he pulled pints with Rob McElhenney and got a good buzz on. If memory serves, William’s next stop was a primary school. He must have reeked of booze by the time he staggered into that school. Anyway, I bring up that very odd moment because it turns out that William’s old school chum was also in that pub. Humphrey Ker works with Rob and Ryan Reynolds on Welcome to Wrexham, and Ker was there to help facilitate the “day-drinking” event. Well, Ker is something of a jack of all trades – an actor, writer, reality personality, football manager, and royal gossip. Ker spoke to the Telegraph about his school friends, William and Harry, and how William was always the sensible one. Suuure.

His classmate Prince William: When Humphrey Ker was a seven-year-old boy, eager but wet behind the ears at Ludgrove School in Berkshire, his teacher asked the class to write a few sentences about what they would like to be when they grew up. “It was as much to teach us about paragraphs as anything else. But we went round the room reading them out. Some people said fighter pilot, Arsenal striker, this and that, the usual,” Ker recalls. And then came the turn of Ker’s dormitory mate, an immaculately behaved little boy called William. “He said, ‘I want to be a policeman.’ And everyone burst out laughing, because of course he wasn’t going to be a policeman, we all knew everything that was going to happen in his life – he was going to be king.” Poor old Prince William, who still hasn’t made it to Scotland Yard. He and Ker were schoolmates through both Ludgrove and Eton.

In a dorm with William: Boarding school, which Ker loved, started at seven. Chance saw him put in a dorm with the future Prince of Wales at Ludgrove, and the young Ker very much knew who he was. Just as he did William’s younger brother. I’m imagining protection officers under the bunkbeds. “Oh yeah, they were there. Trevor and Graham. ‘Crackers’, was Graham’s nickname. I remember even aged saven I felt for those kids. It was during that period when Diana was front page news every single day. Everybody knew everything going, and it just seemed totally miserable. [William] was always very sweet and sensible. He just knew what his responsibilities were. Harry was much more of a maniac: great fun but much more badly behaved. I’m sure it’s exactly the same dynamic [with George and Louis] now.”

His thoughts on William’s life now: They lost touch at Eton, and then entirely, as William went to St Andrews and Ker to Edinburgh. He’s since met the Prince of Wales and the King when they have come to gladhand at Wrexham. “Again, I just feel so sorry for them. It’s that gilded cage thing. It just looks miserable. I think what Charles would really have been happy doing is running some eco business out of his house in Gloucestershire, just quietly getting on having a nice time with Camilla and the dog.”

On the celebrities he’s met: “I’ve been fortunate enough to rub shoulders with lots of very famous people, and it looks completely miserable. I wouldn’t say they are miserable, but the lives they lead are not for me.”

Ker has lived in California for 12 years but now wants to move back to England: “We’re now quite eager to move back, for a variety of reasons – some of which I don’t want to print, because I’ll get thrown in a detention centre.” He’s half-joking. “Loads of American friends are moving here now. I know about five or six couples who’ve just gone, ‘You know what? We’ve had enough.’”

[From The Telegraph]

I looked up Ker’s age – he’s 43, like William, which makes sense because they were in the same class. It doesn’t even sound like Ker would have had much interaction with Harry, given Harry is two years younger? It feels like another “Sussex tax” – everyone has to say something rude about Harry or Meghan or else. “Harry was a maniac” – he was a neglected child! Jesus. And William has never seemed “sweet.” Or “sensible” for that matter. William certainly didn’t look sensible day-drinking with celebrities on St. David’s Day while his wife was missing and (as we now know) in very poor health.

bitchy | Prince William: ‘Catherine probably does the bulk of’ the kids’ school runs

With every story I’ve written about Prince William’s Earthshot events in Brazil, my favorite comments are “so, is he going to say anything about who actually won the prizes this year?” It’s true that all of the stories about Billy’s Big Brazilian Flop Tour are centered on Billy boy himself. Bill played volleyball and looked ridiculous! Bill took a private jet to Belem! Bill set up a photo-op on a private plane to prove that he’s literate! Bill is incandescent with rage that his Brazilian Flop Tour got overshadowed! And on and on. To be fair, I do think he spent a small amount of time talking to and about the Earthshot winners, it’s just that the press didn’t cover any of it whatsoever. Well, Bill was interviewed by a local Brazilian outlet last week, and the interview is just getting attention now, one week later. Instead of focusing on Earthshot or the winners, William… talked about his home life and the fakakta school run.

The Prince of Wales has discussed the challenges of answering difficult questions from his three children, Prince George, 12, Princess Charlotte, ten, and Prince Louis, seven, amid his wife Kate’s cancer battle. The future King, 43, opened up to Brazilian TV show host, Luciano Huck, during his trip to Rio de Janeiro last week for the Earthshot Prize Awards.

“Every family has its own difficulties and its own challenges, and I think it’s very individual as to how you deal with those problems,” William spoke candidly. “We choose to communicate a lot more with our children, that has its good things and its bad things, sometimes you feel you’re oversharing with the children when you probably shouldn’t.”

“But most of the time hiding stuff from them doesn’t work, and so explaining to them how they feel, why that’s happening, giving them other viewpoints as to why they might be feeling the way like they are, sometimes helps give them a bigger picture and they can relax more into it, rather than being really anxious about what you’re hiding from them. There can be a lot more questions than answers. It’s always a balancing act, every parent knows that, it’s about how much do I say? There’s no manual for being a parent, you’ve just got to go with it, it’s A bit of instinct.”

In the wide-ranging interview, William also spoke about the family’s home life, revealing how they fit their royal engagements around the school run and their children’s extracurricular activities saying: “Play dates, taxi driver, sports days, matches, playing in the garden when I can. School run most days, I mean Catherine and I share it, but she probably does the bulk of it.”

And while he’s previously spoken about the children not having mobile phones, he wants to approach technology with caution.

“It is really hard. Our children don’t have phones,” he explained. “When George moves onto secondary school, maybe he’ll have one with limited access. We talk to him and explain why we don’t think it’s right. With full access, children end up seeing things on the internet that they shouldn’t. But with restricted access, I think it’s good for messaging.”

[From Hello]

We’ll get to his quotes in a moment, and I understand he was just answering the questions asked, but wow, everything about his Earthshot press just emphasizes the fact that this is all a vanity project for him and an excuse to center himself constantly. Why the f–k are you talking about the school run to a Brazilian media outlet in the middle of an Earthshot trip? As for the quotes… I think it’s fine that he’s talking about how his kids don’t have phones, and I also think that flip-phones need to make a comeback. And if Kate is doing the bulk of the school runs, then what is William doing during all of his time “off”? Why can he only do one day of work a week if Kate is the one on the school run? All of the family communication stuff is whatever, all of it so obviously a lie. Mark my words, Carole Middleton is the one explaining stuff to those kids.

bitchy | People: Prince William is a ‘credible voice’ with a ‘strong personal core’

Kensington Palace has been trying to do some clean-up on a pretty terrible PR crisis for Prince William in recent weeks, if not months. Personally, I think this latest crisis started in September, when Prince Harry spent four days in England, then traveled to Kyiv, Ukraine. The British media couldn’t hide the fact that William was close to a nervous breakdown because… Harry got good press and Harry met with Charles. It’s been downhill since then, with William and Kate’s refusal to work, their unpopular move into Forest Lodge (a move where they grabbed 150 acres of a public park and shut down a children’s center), and the pièce de résistance, the Earthflop debacle in Brazil, during which William’s big-boy thunder was stolen by his family. We should also note that William surrounds himself with clowns as advisors, which we’ve also seen in recent years, with their horrifically bad crisis management. Which means their version of “clean up” is just “declare victory and pretend that everything is going to plan.” From People Magazine’s curious article:

Optimistic Huevo: “He’s leaving Rio with a renewed sense of optimism about what Earthshot can deliver. We’re seeing the impact Earthshot finalists are delivering. The momentum is really feeling unstoppable,” a palace source tells PEOPLE in this week’s issue.

Credible Bill: “He’s a very credible voice,” the U.K.’s ambassador to Brazil, Stephanie Al-Qaq, tells PEOPLE. “He’s more than ready to step into that space.” Adds Jacinda Ardern, the former New Zealand prime minister and an Earthshot trustee: “He’s pretty consistent. It’s been, ‘How do we do more? How do we scale? How do we better support the finalists?’ ”

The Prince Andrew mess: “William has a strong personal core,” as does his wife, Kate Middleton, says a close source. Together, the insider adds, they embody values “such as constancy, consistency, steadiness and a safe place for the country to reach out to.”

William wants Andrew to be dealt with quickly: In the weeks prior [to Earthshot], the family had confronted the fallout from his uncle’s royal scandal. While William fully supported his father’s decision, there are those who believe he urged closure sooner — and more strongly. “There was pressure from William, who would not want to inherit the headache,” says a source close to the royal household. Adds a palace insider: “He would want it dealt with as quickly as possible.”

Intense Bill: In Rio, William’s environmental purpose took on an unmistakable intensity. From the Sugarloaf summit to Copacabana Beach, the Prince of Wales carried himself less as a royal guest and more as a global advocate. “He’s a door-opener,” says Runa Khan, founder of Friendship, a nonprofit aiding climate-affected communities in Bangladesh, and an Earthshot winner.

Statesman Bill: On Nov. 6, he brought that energy to Belém for the world leaders’ COP30 summit. Stepping off the plane alongside U.K. prime minister Keir Starmer — who had also attended the Earthshot Prize the night before — he looked at home among politicians and heads of state. Following in his father’s footsteps on climate advocacy, William delivered his speech in his own empathetic style, reminiscent of his late mother, Princess Diana, who made her own memorable visit to the country in 1991.

But Harry got attention: The royal remained engaged even as his estranged brother Prince Harry unexpectedly announced a trip to Canada for his own series of Remembrance events — catching palace aides by surprise, despite Harry’s team saying it had informed them.

[From People]

I find it embarrassing when American outlets cut-and-paste from palace emails. This kind of embiggening coverage is horrible for both People Mag AND William. Once you see how William and Kate force the press to treat them like reluctant toddlers who need wall-to-wall praise for every single thing, you can never unsee it. “William delivered his speech in his own empathetic style, reminiscent of his late mother, Princess Diana.” You are a liar telling lies. “The Prince of Wales carried himself less as a royal guest and more as a global advocate…” They’re still trying to force people to forget those volleyball photos. And the “credible voice” stuff is hilarious – Kate gets the same fluffery too, she’s a “credible expert” on the Early Years, don’t you know. Will and Kate really are the two most credible experts in environmentalism and childhood development, we swear! They’re both global statesmen! William is just like Diana! No, Kate is just like Diana! Embarrassing.

bitchy | Prince William plans to take his Earthshot Prize to India next year

by jummy84 November 12, 2025
written by jummy84

Britain’s Prime Minister Keir Starmer actually traveled to Brazil for a few days last week. He attended a few events for Prince William’s Earthshot Prize, and then both men traveled to Belem for the first two days of the COP30 conference. PM Starmer was back in England in time to attend the Festival of Remembrance on Saturday night. It’s widely believed that Starmer and William traveled back to the UK together, but William still skipped the Festival of Remembrance. Lazy, lazy, lazy. Well, according to Kensington Palace, William and Starmer have a great relationship, and William is whinging to Starmer about how the government needs to “do more” on the environment. There isn’t an eyeroll big enough. Some highlights from Roya Nikkhah’s big post-Earthshot clean-up, with some exclusive info about next year’s Earthshot Prize ceremony.

Big Boy Billy takes on big business: The Prince of Wales has criticised big businesses for “falling short” and lacking “courage” in their attempts to tackle climate change. Prince William, who spent five days last week in Brazil for his Earthshot prize awards and the Cop30 climate conference, is deeply frustrated by the private sector’s apathy on the environment.

William raised concerns, bless his heart: A royal source said: “During his visit to Brazil, the Prince of Wales raised his concern about the lack of meaningful support from global businesses in tackling the climate crisis when he met with the prime minister and the secretary of state for energy security and net zero. He believes that major companies are still not doing nearly enough. He wants to see bold leadership in the private sector and, honestly, many businesses are still reluctant to get involved. Even when some are making genuine progress, they’re rarely talking about it. There are positives, companies such as Ikea, Uber and [the food giant] Compass Group are showing real leadership and deserve credit, investing in Earthshot prize finalists. But far too many others are still falling short and it’s time for more of them to step up to the plate.”

William & Starmer: The prince has developed a “warm relationship” with Starmer, the first prime minister to attend William’s environmental awards since they began in 2021, and urged the government to encourage more action from the private sector on green issues.

Next year’s Earthshot will go to India: William plans to take next year’s Earthshot prize to India, in a sign of his determination to engage with the world’s biggest polluters. India, the most populous nation in the world with more than 1.4 billion people, is the world’s third-biggest polluter after China and America. The country is responsible for about 8 per cent of global carbon emissions, with coal as its primary power source, but has set a goal of reducing emissions by 50 per cent by 2030 and for the economy to be net zero by 2070. Neither Narendra Modi, the Indian prime minister, nor President Xi of China attended the Cop30 leaders’ conference last week.

Willy will go to China too: A royal source said: “This is about bringing people on the journey. We always said we’d like to take Earthshot to every corner of the planet. There are so many interesting things happening in India in the sector and the prince is looking forward to seeing it.” The Sunday Times has also revealed that William wants to take the prize to China in the next five years, despite the UK’s strained relations with the world’s biggest polluter, in marked contrast to his father’s approach. The King has never visited mainland China because of his views on the regime’s treatment of Tibet and its human rights record. William, however, is said to believe that you “can’t exclude a big chunk of the planet when thinking about fighting for its future”. Sources close to William said he had a “renewed sense of purpose” about taking the prize to China.

[From The Times]

I actually forgot that Charles has never stepped foot in China. That’s a bit crazy, especially considering how well-traveled he was as Prince of Wales. As for William’s plan to go to India next year… lol. He is really going to march into India and try to lecture and bully the whole country, meanwhile India has become a thriving economic powerhouse and vibrant democracy with no need for an ugly white savior, especially one from a member of a supposed royal family which looted many of India’s treasures. William should arrive in India with the Kohinoor diamond in hand before he lectures anyone on the environment. As for all of the stuff about Basher Billy lecturing businesses about the environment – he just comes across as so deeply unlikeable, unaccomplished and pitiful.

Prince William makes surprise cameo on ‘Dancing with the Stars’ – National

Prince William made a surprise appearance on Dancing with the Stars on Tuesday night to show his support for contestant Robert Irwin.

The Prince of Wales, 43, popped in unexpectedly during the 20th anniversary episode of the competition dance show to share a few words of encouragement with Irwin, an Earthshot Prize ambassador for William’s environmental initiative, which aims to find innovative solutions to repair and protect the planet.

Irwin, 21, told his dancing partner Witney Carson that he was supposed to be in Brazil for the Earthshot Prize awards in Rio de Janeiro on Nov. 5 but he had to tell William, “Sorry, I can’t make it. I’m still here.”

“We’re missing you, Robert,” William said in a video message. “Whilst your twinkle toes are going off elsewhere, I need you down here.”

William told Carson that she needs to “get him in as much glitter as you can.”

“Guys, you’ve got a seriously good chance of winning it,” William said during the FaceTime call. “So, just the best of luck on the show.”

“I can’t believe he just said my name,” Carson said.

Irwin went on to say that he was dedicating his foxtrot to Leona Lewis’s Footprints in the Sand to his sister, Bindi, 27.

“We are doing this dance for Bindi, and we are doing this dance for Prince William, so let’s not mess this up,” he said.

Bindi had danced to the same song during her time on Season 21 of DWTS, which she won alongside professional dancer Derek Hough.

“A part of me healed that day. So now I hope that Robert gets that same experience,” Bindi said.

At the end of the number, Bindi joined her brother and Carson on stage and they wrapped their arms around each other’s shoulders before kneeling as scenes of their childhood with their late father, Steve Irwin, were projected onto the ballroom floor.

Irwin and Carson celebrated after receiving their perfect score of 40 for their dance to the song, honouring his late father.

Irwin shared the dance on Instagram, with the caption, “Tonight was healing. This dance was emotional, beautiful and so deeply meaningful. I carry Dad’s legacy with me in everything I do, and it was a privilege to dedicate our foxtrot to him.”

“Thank you @bindisueirwin for inspiring us with your freestyle to this song, and thank you @witneycarson for once again choreographing such a beautiful story through dance and for creating a space for me to convey raw emotions that I’ve never gotten to share before,” he continued.

“I’m a proud Wildlife Warrior, and I’ll always carry on my dad’s mission. I’m so grateful that I can do that in the ballroom.”

bitchy | Royalist: ‘Angry’ Prince William felt like his family ‘sabotaged’ his Brazilian trip

by jummy84 November 10, 2025
written by jummy84

Prince William spent about five full days in Brazil and it was a fiasco from start to finish. That’s what no one can admit – for all of the whining and crying about thunder-stealing, Billy’s Big Brazilian Flop Tour was full of awkward, undignified photo-ops, an utter lack of charisma, and a big, keen speech which was so hypocritical and out of touch, longtime royalists are newly contemptuous of William and the monarchy. The man posed on a private plane, en route to an environmental conference, in an attempt to prove that he can read!! Like, that alone should tell you everything you need to know. But, according to Tom Sykes’ sources, William is full of fury, rage and bile over seemingly everyone in his family successfully upstaging him, especially his father! LMAO.

The Royalist has learned that Prince William “was left hurt and angry” after his father — of all people — stole the spotlight from him last week, staging a headline-grabbing investiture for David Beckham as William’s Earthshot Awards were kicking off in Brazil. For William, who has spent five years turning the prize into his signature platform, the timing, even though the investiture was long scheduled, was more than a clash of diaries; it was seen, according to friends, as a deliberate snub. The decision by King Charles to knight Beckham on Tuesday— fourteen years after his name was first floated for the honor — was greeted by William’s friends with disbelief.

“Of all weeks,” one friend of William’s told The Royalist, “this was the one week he needed the family to be pulling for him. Instead, it felt like they were pulling against him. He was left hurt and angry.”

Instead of the seamless royal choreography William envisioned [for his week in Brazil], his trip unraveled into a succession of distractions. “The family sabotaged it from beginning to end,” the William friend said. “It was pathetic, like the worst of the bad old days.”

On the day his plane landed, Prince Harry’s team announced a parallel, quasi–royal tour of Canada, scheduled—miraculously—to overlap with William’s itinerary. Meghan Markle’s PR team then leaked news of her “return to acting” to The Sun midweek, instantly derailing British coverage of the Earthshot Prize.

“In any normal world,” said one newspaper executive, “William would have been the royal story of the week. But Beckham and Meghan’s comeback swallowed the headlines. The entire British Royal press corps was in Brazil, and somehow none of it mattered.”

The irritant of the Sussexes is old and familiar; what stung William much more, I am told, was the betrayal from inside the tent.

“David Beckham had waited fifteen years,” said a former courtier. “And they had to do it this week? When you think of how gracious William had been, paying tribute to his father’s work in his speech, it’s a slap in the face. I’m afraid Charles still can’t bear not to be the center of attention. If he couldn’t be at COP30 himself, then nobody else was allowed to have the moment.”

The King’s allies insist it was a coincidence without malice. “His Majesty is immensely proud of his son’s work,” a friend of Charles’s told the Daily Beast. “Investitures are scheduled months in advance.”

One friend of the King’s, however, did concede that there is an “increasingly delicate” father-son dynamic, dramatically worsened by William’s open contempt for the shambolic way his father handled the ex-Prince Andrew crisis and continues to handle the Harry issue.

Charles, however, has no intention of fading into the background. He insists on maintaining a full public schedule, sometimes to the alarm of Camilla and his doctors, and he guards the symbols of kingship—audiences, investitures, the odd glittering photo call—as fiercely as ever. Friends say that having waited his whole life for this role, he’s not about to start taking instruction from anyone, even his son.

[From The Royalist Substack]

I often say Charles got the heir he deserves, but it’s also true that William got the father he deserves too. My god. I also thought it was funny that Charles did David Beckham’s investiture during William’s Brazilian Flop Tour, but I figured the same thing – that it was something which had been on the schedule for a while, and it’s just the way things lined up. This makes it two different “things” of which William was in the dark: Buckingham Palace knew about Beckham’s investiture AND they were informed of Harry’s trip to Canada. From the sound of it, BP did not inform William or Kensington Palace at all. Or maybe they did send a memo and Illiterate Bill just missed it. As for William thrashing around “hurt and angry” at family betrayals… the worse option is that Harry, Meghan and Charles were all helping William by distracting the press from writing about the Brazilian fiasco.

This is just a mere glimpse of how people reacted when they actually paid attention to Billy’s Brazilian Flop Tour.

Nice But Dim Bill is talking unadulterated shit. It is acquiescence that has brought us to the gates of hell, when the likes of him fly in on a private jet to drive along a road built from the chopping down of 100,000 trees to tell us to tighten our belts. Are we mental? https://t.co/ZPE035iP1o

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle Make a Royal Cameo at Kris Jenner’s 70th Birthday

written by jummy84

Seeing all of the megawatt celebrities arrive to the party was as much of a spectacle as, say, the Oscars or Golden Globes—especially given each attendee brought a formal ensemble for the night. Though, they all embraced black tie differently. Oprah Winfrey went sleek in her leather top and trousers—Sarah Paulson and Naomi Watts (two All’s Fair co-stars) went classic and glamorous in their floor-length dresses. Mariah Carey—the queen of glamour—wore an embellished slip dress, as did Paris Hilton in her beaded sky-blue number.

What did the birthday girl, Kris Jenner, wear you may be asking? We wouldn’t know: The business mogul arrived to the party via some sort of private entry, so her birthday outfit was not seen. But given her penchant for an elegant black power suit (her signature), you just know that whatever she wore to dance the night away was good. Maybe she wore one of the 65 custom designer looks that Kim bought her for her 65th birthday.

Below, more guests spotted at Jenner’s 70th birthday.

bitchy | Telegraph: Prince Harry was a half-in royal in Toronto, ‘albeit via the backdoor’

by jummy84 November 9, 2025
written by jummy84

Last night, Prince Harry attended the True Patriot Love Foundation’s National Tribute Dinner in Canada. It was the culmination of a whirlwind 48-hour “tour” of Toronto, which saw Harry meeting veterans and active servicemen and women, checking out various military operations and generally being charismatic and cool. Harry was invited to the National Tribute Dinner and he was the de facto keynote speaker as well. True Patriot Love Foundation is a major partner of the Invictus Games, and that’s why they invited Harry and that’s why he came to their events. You can read more about the dinner here at Sussex.com.

Throughout Harry’s Toronto visit, there has been limited press availability (really just a couple of local outlets) and no paparazzi photos and no credentialed international media covering these events. The only reason we have any photos at all is because a photographer attached with True Patriot Love has been trailing Harry at his events, and the photos have been published on Sussex.com. That limited media availability has allowed Harry to keep a lighter footprint in Toronto and focus solely on what he came into town to do. Somewhat hilariously though, Harry has gotten a lot of attention during what was supposed to be his brother’s big week in Brazil. Well, now it’s time for the British media to run the same old play: Harry’s Toronto trip is a signal that he wants to be a working royal again! These people are dumb as a box of hair. From the Telegraph’s big article, written after the Other Brother made a big keen speech at COP30.

A backdoor half-in arrangement: When the Duke of Sussex left the UK to pursue an independent life abroad, he was told in no uncertain terms that he could not adopt the “half in, half out” approach to royal life he had demanded. There was no way that he and Meghan could promote their charitable endeavours on behalf of the institution while at the same time pursuing their own commercial interests, Buckingham Palace made clear. Almost six years on, it looks very much as if the couple are doing something very similar, albeit via the backdoor.

A statement of intent! The Duke’s two-day visit to Toronto has been described by some as something of a marker in the sand, a statement of intent. This was the “grown-up statesman-like Harry” pitching his stall, proving his value and demonstrating where his life was headed, one friend told The Telegraph. And having finally had enough of the tell-all interviews and intimate memoirs, that life looks not unlike the kind he might have been pursuing had he stayed in the UK. Is the visit, therefore, a subtle pitch to his father: “See how useful I could be?” Harry’s support for the military community has never been in doubt. But whether this was a trip based solely on his passion for the Canadian armed forces is a matter for debate. Could it be that it was also intended to act as a subtle nod to the personal support he wants to show Canada, a key Commonwealth country?

Harry & Meghan are pursuing different interests! When Harry and Meghan moved to the US, they made a virtue of being joined at the hip – who can forget the entwined palm trees, salt and pepper analogies? Now though, as Meghan pursues her dream of becoming a billionaire, her husband is reverting to a rather more familiar way of life. All he wants to do, those close to him insist, is to support his pet causes.

Harry will continue to work this way: He may have been banned from pursuing his charitable endeavours on behalf of the Royal family but Harry has seemingly decided that he will plough on regardless. Quasi-royal visits and trips like his visit to the UK in September, and Toronto this week, are likely to become much more common. Meanwhile, in an effort to burnish his philanthropic credentials, he continues to dish out money. When he was in the UK, the Duke announced a personal £1.1m donation to Children in Need to help tackle youth violence in Nottingham. This week, he is understood to have made a six-figure donation to Jamaica after Hurricane Melissa wreaked havoc across the Caribbean. As he looks to the future, Harry is also understood to be mulling over the possibility of launching his own not-for-profit social enterprise.

The left-behinds are looking sparse: Meanwhile, on this side of the pond, the number of working members of the Royal family has been further depleted with Andrew’s defenestration. Would the King ever bring Harry off the subs bench? Not a chance. And King William even less so. The Sussexes, though, look set to plough on undeterred with their own version of that “half in, half out” model.

[From The Telegraph]

First of all, this isn’t about Harry “pitching” a half-in solution to his father. These people said the same thing about the Sussexes’ trips to Nigeria and Colombia last year, alongside the palace-issued talking points of “why are the Sussexes doing charity work and traveling on behalf of their charities in the first place, if not to be royal?!?!” At some point, these royal reporters are going to need to sit down and have the conversation that “charity work” does not equal “royal work.” When the short-sighted Windsors rejected the “half-in” suggestion, they believed that they were banning Harry and Meghan from doing anything resembling charity work, which is frankly a stupid assumption but indicative of the rot within the monarchy. What the Sussexes are doing is altogether funnier and more interesting – they’re showing that they don’t need the stagnant royal establishment or the British media to do their own charity work AND commercial work.

Prince George attends Festval of Remembrance

9 November 2025

Prince George made a surprise appearance at the Festival of Remembrance on Saturday (08.11.25).

Prince George and Catherine, Princess of Wales as the Festival of Remembrance

The 12-year-old royal attended the service at London’s Royal Albert Hall for the first time this weekend, joining his mother Catherine, Princess of Wales, and King Charles and Queen Camilla in the royal box.

The audience at the venue stood as the family entered to the sound of a trumpeters’ fanfare and took their seats, with George, wearing a black suit with a poppy pin, sitting next to his mother.

Catherine wore an Alessandra Rich black dress with a white collar, paired with an HMS Glasgow Brooch and earrings which previously belonged to the late Queen Elizabeth, as well as a handmade poppy created out of silk, glass and other natural materials by Izzy Ager of Lock and Co.

The festival, which marked the 80th anniversary of the end of World War II and the 25th anniversary of the lifting of a ban preventing gay, lesbian and bisexual military personnel from serving openly, was hosted by Ted Lasso actress Hannah Waddingham.

The royals got to enjoy performances from Sir Rod Stewart with the RAF Squadronaires, the Massed Bands of His Majesty’s Royal Marines, the Household Division and the RAF.

In between the music were tributes to the fallen and reflections from veterans, as well as a focus on military children who have lost parents.

George was last seen in public at the Wimbledon men’s final in July, alongside his mother, father Prince William and 10-year-old sister Princess Charlotte.

In May, he met with World War II veterans at Buckingham palace and has previously attended the VE Day 80 procession with his family.

On Sunday (09.11.25), the king and Prince William – who was in Brazil last week for his Earthshot Prize ceremony – will lay a wreath at the Cenotaph during the annual Remembrance Day Service, with Camilla and Catherine expected to watch the ceremony from a balcony overlooking the monument.

Charles’ sister, Princess Anne, is currently on an official visit to Australia and Singapore, and will lay a wreath at the Anzac Memorial after attending a service in Sydney.

bitchy | Prince Harry apologized for wearing a Dodgers hat, said he did so ‘under duress’

by jummy84 November 9, 2025
written by jummy84

Last week, one of the biggest royal scandals was, I kid you not, a British prince wearing an LA Dodgers hat whilst seated in the Dodgers owners’ box with his native Angeleno wife. The Duchess of Sussex is a big Dodgers fan, and they scored seats for Game 4 of the World Series, seats which were close to Magic Johnson. Canadians, especially right-wing Canadians, had meltdowns over the King of Canada’s son rooting for the Dodgers versus the Toronto Blue Jays. By the end of Game 7, Harry had been revealed as a secret Blue Jays fan though – he actually looked quite depressed that the Dodgers won the World Series. Still, “hat-gate” was already up and running, to the point where Harry fielded questions about who he really supported in the World Series while he visited Toronto this week.

Please, this is too funny. Harry chuckling over “hat-gate,” his claims of being forced to wear a Dodgers hat “under duress,” and actually apologizing over the Dodgers hat too! He said, “Firstly, I would like to apologize to Canada for wearing it. Secondly, I was under duress. There wasn’t much choice.” He was invited to sit in the owners’ box, you see, and it was “the polite thing to do.” Then he grabs the Blue Jays cap and says, “I’m going to wear this from now on.”

Harry also visited Sunnybrook Veterans Centre, where he spent time with seniors and got involved in some of the creative arts they have at the centre. He is absolutely his mother’s son in those photos – Diana is remembered for being wonderful around children, but she was also wonderful around seniors too. Harry delicately held one woman’s hand and gently kissed her hand as he said goodbye. He listened to those veterans’ stories and chatted about their interests. A complete natural. You can see more of those photos here.
