bitchy | Prince William & Kate have officially moved into Forest Lodge already

The greatest trick the royalist devil ever tried to pull was convincing anyone that the Princess of Wales has a say in what happens within the Windsor clan. Please. That’s pure Middleton PR. Not even Kensington Palace tries to convince people of that, and that’s technically Kate’s office. So it was funny to me that some unnamed source told People Magazine that Kate and Queen Camilla deserve credit for the banishment of Andrew Mountbatten Windsor. The source claimed that there was “a push from Camilla and Catherine” and a woman’s touch on the king’s statement. BS. What’s also funny is that now Andrew will be living close to William and Kate’s favorite of their ten forever homes: Anmer Hall, on the Sandringham estate. W&K go to Norfolk constantly. William enjoys larping as a Turnip Toff and Kate just prefers being in Norfolk, in general. Well, now Uncle Andy will be able to stop by Anmer at any time, right? What’s also pretty funny is that Will and Kate are officially moved-in to Forest Lodge, which means they’ll spend their first two months at their latest forever home just down the road for Andrew and Sarah too.

The Prince and Princess of Wales have moved into their new “forever” home, making them temporarily closer neighbours with the disgraced Andrew Mountbatten Windsor. The Telegraph can reveal the couple and their three children relocated from Adelaide Cottage over half term and are now settling into their new abode, Forest Lodge, where they plan to remain after William becomes King.

For a short time, they will be close neighbours of the former Duke of York, whose Royal Lodge mansion is just a two-mile hop across Windsor Great Park. Prince William did not attend the meetings last week as Buckingham Palace finally moved to strip his uncle of his titles and force him out of his grand home on the Crown Estate. But his closest aides were kept abreast of developments and William “fully supported” the King’s decision.

The heir to the throne had long made clear that he felt a harder line should be taken on Andrew and that he did not want the debacle dragging over into his own reign. The Waleses were also said to be concerned about the Windsor estate being tainted by association with the former prince. Having decided to make Forest Lodge their long-term family home, it suits the couple to be geographically distanced from Andrew and his ex-wife, Sarah Ferguson, who will move out in January.

The red-bricked Georgian mansion, once described as a “very substantial house in one of the loveliest settings in the country”, is a notable step up from their former home, the more modest, four-bedroomed Adelaide Cottage. It boasts eight bedrooms and six bathrooms, a long gallery, a separate staff flat, a tennis court and a large pond. The house is protected by a ha-ha, a sunken fence commonly installed in landscaped gardens in the 18th century to give the illusion of an unbroken view while providing boundaries for grazing livestock.

The move was announced in August and the Prince and Princess initially planned to relocate by Christmas. But building work was completed earlier than expected and the family’s belongings were gradually transferred to the newly renovated property, which is protected by a large security cordon.

[From The Telegraph]

First of all, it sounds like William and Kate were not actually in Windsor to oversee the move into Forest Lodge. Please, they have people for that! Secondly, “Prince William did not attend the meetings last week…but his closest aides were kept abreast of developments and William ‘fully supported’ the King’s decision.” Even more evidence that the Middleton-Waleses were on vacation for the past two weeks, Huevo was too lazy to attend the meetings about banishing Andrew. I thought William was “ruthless”? I thought he was rage-shrieking about his uncle 24-7? And he didn’t give a sh-t enough to go to the meetings? Last thing… so, why isn’t Kate going to Rio for Earthshot again? We were told she couldn’t go because she had to organize the move into Forest Lodge. Well, the move happened. So what’s her excuse now? Let me guess, she has to organize her new Wiglet Room as she stares wistfully out on the 150 acres she stole from a public park.

‘SNL’ Weekend Update Jokes About Louvre Heist, Prince Andrew Losing Title

by jummy84 November 2, 2025
written by jummy84

Bowen Yang appeared as former U.S. Congressman George Santos during “Weekend Update” on “Saturday Night Live,” where he spoke with co-host Colin Jost about what he’s been up to following his prison release.

During the segment, Jost referenced the upcoming New York City marathon happening before reluctantly introducing Santos as “the world’s number one marathoner.”

“Can you believe I just finished the marathon?” Yang’s Santos said, to which Jost replied, “The marathon is tomorrow.”

“Yeah, well, it’s a record. I already won!” Yang’s Santos said.

In October, President Donald Trump commuted the prison sentence of Santos, who had been sentenced to over seven years for wire fraud and aggravated identity theft. Since his release, the disgraced ex-politician has embarked on a media comeback tour.

“I’m going on all these shows to tell the truth about what it’s like in prison,” Yang said as Santos.

“Well, wasn’t your prison only, like, minimum security?” Jost asked.

“That’s right, I was in jail with other white-collar criminals — even though I’m Black,” Yang’s Santos said.

“You’re not Black,” Jost told him.

“Are you accusing me of lying about my race, like Rachel Dolezal, that horrible woman who lied about being Black? Remember her?” Yang’s Santos asked. “‘Cause that was me.”

Later during their conversation, Yang’s Santos said that he’s rich now because he “just took a trip to the Louvre.” He then unzipped his top to reveal a large necklace.

“Did you steal that?” Jost asked.

“Stole it back, you mean,” Yang’s Santos replied. “Because it belonged to my ancestors — the Zales.”

Elsewhere during the “Weekend Update” segment, co-host Michael Che mentioned that King Charles had stripped his brother, Prince Andrew, of his royal title due to his connections to convicted sex offender, Jeffrey Epstein.

“Prince Andrew has been stripped of his royal title of ‘Prince’ due to his involvement with Jeffrey Epstein, and Andrew says he can only become a prince again if he gets a kiss from a young princess,” Che joked.

The latest “Weekend Update” also poked fun at Trump’s White House bathroom model, Texas suing Tylenol over an alleged link to autism, and Japan’s new prime minister, Sanae Takaichi, announcing that she is nominating Trump for the Nobel Peace Prize.

Responding to Takaichi’s nomination, Che quipped, “I can’t believe I get to say this, but thank God nobody listens to women.”

bitchy | Royalist: “King in all but name’ Prince William ‘masterminded Andrew’s disgrace’

Who is responsible for the “Andrew Mountbatten Windsor” situation? By that I mean, who negotiated the deal, who said enough is enough, who finally acted, weeks and months late, to banish Andrew? The terseness of the message from King Charles yesterday suggested, to me, that Charles had actually been locked in negotiation alongside various courtiers. The timing also suggests that Charles was ultimately the one making decisions – the past month of dithering, half-measures and ostriching was classic Charles. The palace line is that Charles made the decision in consultation with his family, and he sought their support on the move as well:

So what was the final nail in the coffin for King Charles? PEOPLE understands that the King reached his decision with the support of members of the royal family, including Prince William. While Andrew continues to deny the accusations against him, it is clear that there have been serious lapses of judgment from the King’s perspective.

As for why the King didn’t act sooner, PEOPLE understands that Charles acted swiftly following recent developments that made it possible for his brother to relinquish his titles and honors in the most immediate and efficient way possible. While a longer-term resolution to the complex legal and constitutional issues surrounding Andrew’s status took time to finalize, sources say the necessity of further action was never in doubt. The King’s decision follows behind-the-scenes discussions, legal consultation and support from the wider royal family to bring about a resolution without imposing on Parliamentary time.

[From People]

Yeah… this is not it. “We knew the whole time that we would need to punish Andrew even further!!” No you didn’t. Charles thought taking away the York titles would be it, and he seemed surprised that the public demanded even more. He misread the public mood for weeks, and he’s still misreading it now. But still, I feel just a little bit sorry for Charles at the moment. His unhinged heir is rushing to claim credit for Charles’s wheeling and dealing on Andrew. Keep in mind, William has been in the wind, on vacation somewhere for the past two weeks. But sure, this was ALL William. From Tom Sykes’s Royalist Substack, “William is King in All But Name After Masterminding Andrew’s Disgrace.”

Friends of Prince William have told The Royalist that the heir to the throne masterminded the operation to evict Andrew Mountbatten Windsor from Royal Lodge in the teeth of what he saw as his father’s weakness and vacillation on the matter. The palace statement and a supporting briefing document issued to the media yesterday sought to position Charles as the author of the decision to strip Andrew of all his titles and remove him from the palatial property. However, sources who know William scoffed at the suggestion.

One said, “Charles has been trying and failing to get Andrew out of Royal Lodge for the past three years. William did it in two weeks. William is King in all but name now.”

A friend of the Prince of Wales said that William stepped in after being left “dismayed” by the deal announced two weeks ago, which saw Andrew lose the use of his Duke of York title, but, crucially, keep Royal Lodge and continue as a Prince. The King’s team has now attempted to retroactively present that as an interim step, with yesterday’s briefing document stating that “the necessity of further action was never in doubt.”

However, it is quite clear that the King hoped at the time that the measures announced on October 17 would be enough. Briefing documents issued then made it crystal clear that Andrew’s tenancy agreement with the Crown Estate was “unaffected” and that he would stay a Prince, not very subtly seeming to blame Queen Elizabeth for this latter reality, saying his princely title was his by virtue of Letters Patent issued in 1917 by George V which were “updated” by Queen Elizabeth II in 2012. This apportioning of blame was later made explicit in a disgraceful smear in the Sunday Times. This followed extensive briefing to the media by the King’s team that there was no way to remove Andrew’s titles.

The friend of William’s told The Royalist: “This is Andrew, so the solution was always going to be a pay-off. This is his father’s mess, and William wanted it cleaned up on his father’s watch.”

The notion that it is his “father’s mess” refers to deep unhappiness within William’s circle about the way Charles tried not only to rehabilitate Andrew, but to co-opt William and Kate into the effort by forcing them to drive Andrew to church in Balmoral in the summer of 2023, having invited Andrew to join the family’s Christmas Day photocall at Sandringham in 2022.

[From The Royalist Substack]

Multiple things can be true at once: one, William was right that the only solution was money; two, William is right that the York title removal was always a half-assed punishment with no meaning… and yet William still rushed to take credit for that as well! Which makes me think that this is less about William “being king in all but name” right now and more about him screaming and throwing hissy fits behind the scenes, and that’s his version of “doing it in two weeks.” William has always believed that he can just make pronouncements and things will be done – “I’m bored with racism,” etc – so William is claiming ownership of this situation simply because he rage-shrieked (from his vacation) to his father: “Andrew must go, strip all of his titles!”

bitchy | Mail: Prince William has cleared the way to remove the Sussexes’ titles

From where I sit, there was a tipping point on the Prince Andrew/Mountbatten Windsor situation this month which was years in the making. The Windsors misread the public mood, King Charles dithered and Prince William raged from his tenth vacation of the year. The tipping point on Andrew involved a decades-long cover-up, years of lies and abuse, and one of Andrew’s victims speaking from beyond the grave. The situation is simply not comparable to anything involving the Duke and Duchess of Sussex, who were bullied and abused by the institution and press, so much so that they simply… left the country almost six full years ago. If Prince Harry’s September trip to the UK was any indication, the British public still loves him and supports him. Andrew, meanwhile, was heckled and called a “nonce” at his mother’s 2022 funeral. My point? It’s bizarre to see so many Sussex supporters and haters alike use the Andrew situation to talk about Harry and Meghan. The Daily Mail’s Maurren Callahan basically had a psychotic episode about the Sussexes in her column published after the Andrew Mountbatten Windsor announcement.

It is now a question of when. Not if. The bombshell announcement out of Buckingham Palace that Andrew has been stripped of his status as a prince immediately, that he will henceforth be known as ‘Mr. Mountbatten Windsor’, and that he has been forced to surrender the lease to Royal Lodge leaves no doubt in my mind: Harry and Meghan are next. The sun begins to set over Montecito — permanently.

And Prince William, as we posited earlier this week, emerges as the apparent force behind these most welcome reforms — despite the official statement having come from the King. This is William’s monarchy now. In that light, Andrew feels more like a pawn removed by William to clear the way for his real target: Harry.

If the late Queen’s favorite son can be coldly ejected and stripped of his birthright — if William can have convinced the infamously conflict-averse Charles to renounce his own brother — well, Harry’s days as prince and Duke of Sussex are surely numbered. As for Meghan? Like Fergie, she would just be collateral damage. An afterthought. Flotsam in search of a shore – perhaps QVC’s Pennsylvania headquarters and where she might shill As Ever overstock on deep discount.

To know that Meghan and Harry may now be consigned to the dustbin of Royal history, perseverating over the remains of the day from the cheap seats, is perhaps the most tantalizing and satisfying finale of the modern age. Sayonara, Sussexes!

Kate, though silent, is doubtless among William’s prime motives in dispatching first with his uncle, and perhaps next his brother. It was Harry who reprinted Kate’s private text messages with Meghan in Spare. It was Harry and Meghan’s cheerleader, their glorified biographer Omid Scobie, who named Kate and Charles as the so-called ‘royal racists.’ If William is just getting started, he surely knows the world is cheering him on, that any further attacks from his brother and sister-in-law, those epic dramatists, would be laughed off and dismissed.

A former royal aide at Kensington Palace, William and Kate’s London residence, told the Daily Mail that ‘now that they’re picking away at the edges [of the family]’ — that would be Andrew — ‘a bigger unravelling is coming.’

That bigger unravelling is, to my mind, Harry and Meghan’s royal titles, status and honors.

‘The role William has — to try to forge something sustainable — is now in stark relief. And no, Charles isn’t up to that job,’ the former aide continued. ‘Once Andrew stops being the convenient cover, then where will people look next?’

[From The Daily Mail]

So… those quotes from a former royal aide are… not about Harry and Meghan, right? “A bigger unravelling is coming” – for the monarchy itself, because this Andrew situation was and is a larger reflection of the monarchy’s corruption and abuses. “Once Andrew stops being the convenient cover, then where will people look next?” Literally, they’ll look to the remaining royals, none of whom are ready for primetime. They’ll look at a dying king, his unhinged, illiterate, workshy heir, and a collection of senior citizens who stagger through their busywork. If and when William “takes away Harry and Meghan’s titles,” it won’t actually mean a thing to Harry and Meghan. They live in California. They own a beautiful mansion. They are free from all of this bullsh-t. Let me say this as well: once the Sussexes stop being the convenient cover, then where will people look next?

Anzac Day is a national day of remembrance in Australia and New Zealand that broadly commemorates all Australians and New Zealanders “who served and died in all wars, conflicts, and peacekeeping operations” and . Observed on 25 April each year, Anzac Day was originally devised to honour the members of the Australian and New Zealand Army Corps (ANZAC) who fought at Gallipoli against the Ottoman Empire during World War I.

Prince Andrew will no longer be called a prince. Buckingham Palace announced that he had been stripped of his royal title on October 31, 2025, leaving those unfamiliar with his Jeffrey Epstein-related accusations asking the same question: What did Andrew do to lose his royal title?

“Prince Andrew will now be known as Andrew Mountbatten Windsor,” Buckingham Palace said in a statement released that day, per CNN. “His lease on Royal Lodge has, to date, provided him with legal protection to continue in residence. Formal notice has now been served to surrender the lease, and he will move to alternative private accommodation.”

The palace – home to King Charles III and Queen Camilla — added, “These censures are deemed necessary, notwithstanding the fact that he continues to deny the allegations against him.”

Below, learn what Prince Andrew did to lose his royal title.

Why Was Prince Andrew Stripped of His Title?

Buckingham Palace only said in its statement that Andrew was stripped of his title because it was “deemed necessary” and pointed out that he “continues to deny the allegations against him.”

The likely reason behind the palace’s choice is due to the sexual abuse accusations against Andrew by the late Virginia Giuffre and his connection to deceased sex offender Epstein.

What Did Prince Andrew Do?

Giuffre accused now-former Prince Andrew of sexual abuse, claiming that she was sex trafficked to him by Epstein when she was 17. Giuffre further claimed that Epstein and his associate, Ghislaine Maxwell, forced her to have sex with Andrew on multiple occasions from 2001 to 2002.

Andrew has denied all of Giuffre’s accusations and claimed he never met Giuffre, despite a resurfaced photo of them together. Giuffre died by suicide on April 25, 2025.

Andrew also claimed he wasn’t aware of Epstein’s sex trafficking ring but confessed to staying at Epstein’s properties and maintaining contact with him even through his 2008 conviction for soliciting a minor.

In 2021, Giuffre filed a civil lawsuit, accusing him of sexual assault and infliction of emotional distress. The case was settled out of court in 2022 and ended any legal proceedings between the two parties. Nevertheless, the allegations against Andrew and his connection to Epstein resulted in his gradual disappearance from royal duties and public appearances.

After Buckingham Palace stripped Andrew of his royal title, Giuffre’s family released a statement, which read, “Today, an ordinary American girl, from an ordinary American family, brought down a British prince with her truth and extraordinary courage.”

Is Prince Andrew Married?

No, Andrew is no longer married to his ex-wife, Sarah Ferguson. The two tied the knot in 1986 and divorced a decade later.

Does Prince Andrew Have Children?

Yes, Andrew is a father to two daughters, both of whom he shared with his former wife: Princess Beatrice and Princess Eugenie.

If you or anyone you know has been sexually abused, call the National Sexual Assault Hotline at 1-800-656-HOPE (4673). A trained staff member will provide confidential, judgment-free support as well as local resources to assist in healing, recovering and more.

If you or someone you know is in emotional distress or considering suicide, call the National Suicide Prevention Lifeline at 1-800-273-TALK (8255).

Prince William and Princess Kate call for ‘better, more sustainable world’

Prince William and Princess Kate have called for a “better, more sustainable world” in a new social media post.

Prince William and Princess Kate have called for a ‘better, more sustainable world’ in a new social media post

Just after King Charles formally began the process of stripping Prince Andrew of his titles and honours, the couple, both 43, shared the message on their Kensington Royal X account as part of ongoing promotion for the Earthshot Prize, William’s environmental initiative recognising global projects tackling climate change.

The post included a two-minute video highlighting finalists from Barbados, Bangladesh and the United States, describing how each is helping communities adapt to environmental challenges.

William and Kate wrote: “We envision a world that’s a better, more sustainable home for everyone. A world where greenhouse gas emissions are falling, and carbon-neutral economies help protect the most vulnerable. A world like this is within reach.”

It was the fifth consecutive day the Prince and Princess of Wales had posted Earthshot content, following videos released throughout the past week.

William, unveiling the Earthshot shortlist earlier this month, reflected on the urgency of the prize’s mission.

He said: “Back then, a decade felt a long time. George was seven, Charlotte five and Louis two; the thought of them in 2030 felt a lifetime away. But today, as we stand halfway through this critical decade, 2030 feels very real.”

Five winners will each receive £1 million when the Earthshot Prize is awarded on 5 November at the Museum of Tomorrow in Rio de Janeiro, ahead of the COP30 UN climate summit.

The latest Earthshot message appeared less than a day after Buckingham Palace confirmed King Charles, 76, had ordered the removal of Andrew’s HRH style, titles and honours.

In a statement, the Palace said: “Prince Andrew will now be known as Andrew Mountbatten Windsor. These censures are deemed necessary, notwithstanding the fact that he continues to deny the allegations against him.”

It added: “Their Majesties wish to make clear that their thoughts and utmost sympathies have been, and will remain with, the victims and survivors of any and all forms of abuse.”

Andrew, 65, is expected to vacate Royal Lodge and live privately under the King’s care at Sandringham Estate.

Royal sources told The Daily Mail that he could receive around £500,000 as part of the early termination of his lease agreement.

Meanwhile, Republic, the anti-monarchy campaign group, said it had instructed lawyers to explore a private prosecution against Andrew over allegations relating to his friendship with Jeffrey Epstein.

William Prince Moves ‘Further From the Country’ » PopMatters

by jummy84 November 1, 2025
written by jummy84

Folk-rocker William Prince has never been more on the move and never sounded more at home. After albums exploring faith and gratitude, he takes a look at change and distance on Further From the Country. While not a concept album, the record offers a steady look at some big questions about where we come from and where we’re headed, the mix of happy ties and itchy restraints that maintain our connections to places, even if sometimes only emotionally. Prince’s mix of character studies and thoughtful meditations combines for an album with staying power.

The core of the record appears on its titular opening track. Above a driving beat and a sharp fiddle, Prince sings of his move to the big city, indicative of his success as a storytelling artist. The transition isn’t uncomplicated. He asks, “And if I go, is the home that raised me no longer my own? / And if I stay, would I leave here anyway?” He knows the value of leaving on, but also the cost of leaving something behind. It’s a price worth paying, though, as he acknowledges in “Damn” that “Things won’t change until I finally get the will to do something else with myself.” Prince feels the need to move to avoid getting stuck.

The sedentary pitfall comes through clearly on the melancholy country number “All the Same”, in which life drones by on the reservation; the same friends, the same squabbles, the same suicidal exits. Prince captures the unacknowledged desperation when he sings of a friendly woman who was “saving all her money for a holiday that would never come”. That sort of sharp detail fills Further From the Country. Prince gives his characters complexity with just a few lines.

On the pure Nashville “Flowers on the Dash”, he captures the entirety of the relationship in the chorus, a man’s trip to win back a lover turned to nothing but a rejected bouquet for the drive home. Southern rocker “On Rolls the Wheel” develops the sadness of a truck driver, while “For the First Time” sums up blue-collar struggle in a quick couplet: “Feels like God don’t give a damn / When you’re waking up at 4 a.m.”

With all this motion and worry about getting stuck, William Prince could easily, like his fictional truck driver, get lost on the road. Instead, he pauses to find his moments of growth and places of stability. “For the First Time” looks at the process of moving through and beyond grief’s immediacy. Prince especially considers the loss of his father (an integral figure throughout these songs), whom he addresses explicitly on “The Charmer.” On this track, he takes the shine off and tries to give an honest portrait of a complex man. Prince sees him clearly, and honors him appropriately: “Now every chorus, every verse / The charmer rides again.”

By the time Further From the Country reaches “The Charmer”, Prince’s musical tradition becomes a little clearer. He’s always drawn on folk, country, and rock. On one hand, it makes sense to find him as an offshoot of outlaw country. He might be a more natural successor to John Prine, with his particular sense of character and choice of people to study. It doesn’t hurt that “The Charmer’s” melody would sit perfectly on Prine’s The Missing Years. Prince uses his varied influence to paint careful pictures of regular life, while thinking deeply about what it means and how he’s made a life.

That life, throughout much of Further From the Country, has a sense of restlessness, but William Prince draws a critical point in the closer “More of the Same”. Unlike in “All the Same,” the singer now finds repetition not damaging, but edifying. He’s found love, and he can work on lessening his anxiety and need to compare himself with others. “How could I complain / With more of the same?” he sings.

Through both his peregrinations and his examinations, Prince has reached important conclusions. He might not have all the answers, but he’s starting to see how leaving can be part of finding home. He might be rolling on, further from where he began, but it sounds like he’s always been moving toward the center.

How Prince Harry & Meghan Are Shielding Archie & Lilibet From The Spotlight – Hollywood Life

by jummy84 October 31, 2025
written by jummy84

It’s the central paradox of their new life: two of the most famous people in the world are desperately trying to give their children a normal existence. When Prince Harry and Meghan Markle traded the ancient castles of the UK for the sunny hills of Montecito, California, it wasn’t just a personal choice—it was the opening move in a high-stakes battle to control their family’s narrative and safety (Vogue, 2020). Since stepping back from their royal duties in 2020, they have built a fortress of privacy around their children, Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet, making them two of the most protected and thus fascinating kids on the planet.

The global fascination with the Sussex children is immense. As seen recently, when a rare glimpse of them in a TV special sparked a worldwide social media debate over their hair color, every tiny detail becomes a major news event (ABC News, 2025). This intense scrutiny highlights the core question of their parents’ mission: how have the Sussexes built such a private sanctuary around their children in a world of constant surveillance and digital exposure? More importantly, what can you learn from their fight as a parent navigating your family’s digital life?

The Montecito Fortress: A New Model for Royal Life

The first step in protecting Archie and Lilibet was a physical one—a 6,000-mile move across the Atlantic. By relocating to California, the couple created a new model for raising royal children based on personal control rather than public obligation. This carefully constructed life is a blend of high-level security and calculated moments of normalcy.

Escaping the Royal Fishbowl

The move to Montecito was a deliberate choice for a simpler lifestyle far from the rigid structures and expectations of the British monarchy. According to their neighbor, journalist Richard Mineards, their life is controlled but also allows for moments of quiet freedom (New York Post, 2025). Mineards has described seeing Harry on solo bike rides and the couple strolling the shoreline, suggesting a carefully managed existence prioritizing peace over pageantry. This starkly contrasts life within the Royal Family, where every outing is a potential photo opportunity. However, security remains their top priority; Prince Harry’s ongoing legal battle over security arrangements with the UK government underscores his position that bringing his children to his home country is entirely dependent on their safety being guaranteed.

The Art of the Controlled Reveal

Instead of battling the press, the Sussexes have chosen to bypass it. They famously rejected the traditional royal rota system, where a pool of UK media outlets has guaranteed access to royal events. In its place, they’ve implemented a strategy of releasing photos and information strictly on their own terms. Whether it’s an official portrait for a birthday, a family holiday card, or an announcement on their Archewell website, they control the image, the timing, and the narrative. The recent online debate over Archie and Lilibet’s hair, sparked by photos in a Disneyland special, perfectly illustrates why this approach is so necessary for them (People, 2025). When even the smallest detail can cause a global media frenzy, controlling the source of information is their most powerful defensive tool.

Waging a Legal War on the Press

Beyond their physical fortress in California, Prince Harry and Meghan have erected a legal one. Their aggressive strategy against media intrusion is a core pillar of their children’s protection plan, signaling a dramatic break from royal tradition and a willingness to fight back in court.

‘Never Complain, Never Explain’ Is Over

The old royal mantra of stoic silence in the face of negative press is officially dead. Prince Harry is engaged in multiple, high-profile lawsuits against tabloid publishers like Associated Newspapers, the publisher of the Daily Mail. The allegations are severe, including claims of phone-hacking, hiring private investigators, and other unlawful information-gathering techniques. In a move that demonstrates his unwavering commitment to this cause, Harry has even implicated his own family in court documents, alleging that Prince William and Princess Catherine were also victims of illegal spying (People, 2025). Harry sends a clear message by taking on the powerful British press: the harassment stops here.

A Battle for Future Generations

These legal battles are not just about settling personal grievances. For the Sussexes, they represent an attempt to set a new precedent for how the press treats public figures and, most importantly, their children. They fundamentally challenge the unspoken contract between the monarchy and the media, arguing that privacy should not be the price of public service. Their approach marks a radical departure from the status quo, as seen in this comparison.

TacticThe Traditional Royal ApproachThe Sussex Strategy
Media EngagementCooperative relationship with the Royal Rota for guaranteed access.Limited, direct engagement; releasing content via their own channels.
Responding to IntrusionHistorically, never complain, never explain. Ignore negative stories.Aggressive legal action; suing publishers for privacy violations.
Children’s First PhotosOfficial, staged photo calls on the hospital steps or at christenings.Private photos released on their own time, often for charitable causes.
Primary GoalMaintain a positive public image and uphold tradition.Enforce personal privacy and protect family from media harassment.

Navigating the Digital World: A Blueprint for All Parents

While the Sussexes’ privacy battle plays out on a global stage, the core challenges they face—protecting children from unwanted exposure and online dangers—are universal. Their high-profile fight offers a blueprint for all parents trying to create a safe digital environment for their families.

The Royal Family’s Modern Concerns

The concern over online dangers is a shared, cross-Atlantic issue for the Royal Family. Both King Charles and Prince William have spoken about the negative effects of social media, from the spread of misinformation to increased bullying. In fact, Harry and Meghan have also launched initiatives to protect children online, showing a united front on this modern-day challenge. The urgency is underscored by alarming data: online safety is the top concern for 55% of parents, even more than mental or physical health (ECPAT, 2024). With kids aged 8-18 spending an average of 7.5 hours daily on screens for entertainment, and with 26.5% of U.S. teens reporting being cyberbullied in 2023, the need for proactive protection has never been greater (CDC, n.d.; Bright Path, 2025)

A Parent’s Playbook for Digital Protection

Just like the royals, you can take concrete steps to navigate these challenges. Protecting your children online requires a combination of open dialogue and smart technical safeguards. Here are some best practices every parent can adopt to create a safer digital space for their family.

  • Open Communication: Create a space for children to discuss their good and bad online experiences.
  • Set Digital Boundaries: Establish clear rules for screen time, app usage, and appropriate content.
  • Utilize Parental Controls: Use the built-in features on devices and apps to filter content and manage privacy settings.
  • Teach Digital Literacy: Educate children about online risks, such as phishing, sharing personal information, and the permanence of their digital footprint.
  • Secure Your Network: Implement tools that protect your family’s data from outside threats, especially on public networks.

Taking Control with Digital Tools

While open communication is key, parents also need powerful tools to safeguard their family’s digital life. With concerns about internet safety for kids at an all-time high, services like a VPN (Virtual Private Network) offer a crucial layer of technical protection. A VPN establishes a private, encrypted tunnel for all your internet activity, shielding it from hackers, trackers, and other prying eyes.

IPVanish is designed to make this protection simple for families. When your child is on public Wi-Fi at a café or library, IPVanish encrypts their connection so cybercriminals on the same network can’t steal personal data. It also hides your IP address, preventing websites and advertisers from tracking your family’s location and online habits. This is essential for protecting sensitive information and reducing your children’s exposure to invasive targeted marketing.

Beyond browsing, IPVanish secures everything from video calls for virtual school to online gaming sessions, ensuring private conversations remain private. The ability to protect every device in your home on a single account provides a comprehensive solution for parents looking to create a safer online environment for their children.

The Sussex Legacy: A New Definition of a Royal Childhood

The Sussexes’ strategy to protect their children combines physical relocation, aggressive legal action, and meticulous media management. They have established a firm boundary, demanding a level of privacy unheard of for members of the Royal Family. This has created a new definition of a royal childhood, one shielded from the public gaze and free from the obligations that defined past generations of celebrity children.

The central question remains: Can Archie and Lilibet truly have a normal life? The ongoing debate about their upbringing, including reports that Harry is considering UK schooling, shows their path is still being forged (Daily Express, 2025). However, it is undeniable that their parents’ efforts represent a radical attempt to give them something no modern royal has had before: a choice. Ultimately, the Sussex legacy may not be defined by titles or tradition, but by the new, private boundaries they are fighting so fiercely to draw for their family.

Malala Yousafzai’s mom disapproved of Prince Harry and Sir David Beckham.

Malala Yousafzai and Sir David Beckham in 2022

Toor Pekai Yousafzai “shoved” the 41-year-old royal’s hand off her 28-year-old daughter’s shoulder when they posed for a photo together at an event.

During an appearance on The Graham Norton Show on Friday (31.10.25), Malala – a female education activist – revealed: “When I met Prince Harry and he put his arm very respectfully around my shoulder for a photograph, my mother goes after him and shoves his hand away!”

At the 2013 Pride of Britain Awards, held in London, England, former professional footballer Sir David Beckham, 50, presented the Teenager of Courage Award to then-17-year-old Malala.

In 2012, the Taliban shot her in the head and neck in an assassination attempt on her way home from school because the Afghan political and militant movement banned women from getting an education.

Malala posed with David after he handed her the accolade to honour her bravery and heroism in campaigning for women’s education in the region.

However, her mom and dad, Ziauddin Yousafzai, went crazy when she posed with the former Manchester United midfielder because of the “disapproval of their conservative relatives”.

However, Malala fired back to her parents, saying: “Firstly, I am 17 and secondly, that’s David Beckham!”

Malala also shared that her parents did not approve of the clothes she wore to university.

She said: “The clothes I wore at university upset them. They were very strict and particularly didn’t like my skinny jeans.”

Malala made history in 2014 at the age of 17 by being the youngest laureate of the Nobel Peace Prize for fighting the suppression of children and advocating for children’s right to education.

And her life’s “personal reflections” are documented in Malala’s new memoir Finding My Way.

She said: “It is a coming-of-age story. The most personal reflections I have shared from when I was a lonely student in high school to a reckless college student, and navigating my way as a young woman.

“It is my personal experiences about belonging, friendships, and mental health. My hope is that when someone reads the book, the message is that they are not alone.”

Malala attended secondary school at Edgbaston High School in Birmingham, West Midlands, England, from 2013 to 2017.

And she then secured a place at Lady Margaret Hall, Oxford, England, to study for a Bachelor of Arts degree in Philosophy, Politics and Economics (PPE).

After three years, she graduated in 2020.

Asked about studying in the UK, Malala said: “I felt so lucky that I went to college and completed my degree, and that was the moment I felt I had won. Because the people that tried to silence me and stop me from learning failed, and I completed my education. I have that same dream for all women.”

The Graham Norton Show airs on BBC One and iPlayer on Friday October 24 at 10.40pm.

bitchy | Prince Andrew will be stripped of all titles & become Andrew Mountbatten Windsor

by jummy84 October 31, 2025
written by jummy84

I was *just* sitting here thinking about how extraordinarily weird it is that there’s been no movement on getting Prince Andrew out of Royal Lodge. Note: Andrew should face criminal investigation and prosecution for his many crimes, but as far as King Charles is concerned, it was simply odd that Andrew was still somehow in possession of Royal Lodge and his prince title and everything else, really. Well, the dithering days are over and Charles finally did it.

Prince Andrew will be stripped of all his royal titles and will leave Royal Lodge, Buckingham Palace has said. He will no longer be known as Prince Andrew and will instead be called Andrew Mountbatten Windsor.

In a statement, the Palace said: “His Majesty has today initiated a formal process to remove the Style, Titles and Honours of Prince Andrew. Prince Andrew will now be known as Andrew Mountbatten Windsor. His lease on Royal Lodge has, to date, provided him with legal protection to continue in residence. Formal notice has now been served to surrender the lease and he will move to alternative private accommodation.

“These censures are deemed necessary, notwithstanding the fact that he continues to deny the allegations against him.”

“Their Majesties wish to make clear that their thoughts and utmost sympathies have been, and will remain with, the victims and survivors of any and all forms of abuse.”

[From The Telegraph]

Good. It’s not enough, not near enough, but this is good. It should have happened years ago, but Queen Elizabeth II refused to do it, and then Charles launched a “bring Andy in from the cold” operation as some kind of screw-you to Harry. So here we are – a day late and a dollar short, but hey, it’s something. I certainly hope that Andrew’s new accommodation will not be Frogmore Cottage. That simply makes zero sense to do all of this and just shuffle him off to a renovated five-bedroom cottage just outside Windsor Castle. Update: The BBC reports that Charles is sending Andrew to Norfolk, meaning it’s more than likely Andrew (and Fergie?) will live at Wood Farm, on the Sandringham Estate. That’s privately owned by Charles, so Charles will fund Andrew’s life/home there.

Incidentally, a few hours ago, Tom Sykes reported exclusively on his Royalist Substack that “the only way Prince Andrew will leave Royal Lodge is if he’s paid ‘fairly,’ in the region of ‘a couple of million.’” It will be interesting to see if anything comes out about this in the coming hours and days, because it’s been perfectly clear (to me) that Andrew would willingly give up a lot if Charles simply paid him off. I could see an off-the-books quid pro quo happening here – Charles gets to look big and tough and like he hasn’t spent the entire month dithering endlessly, and Andrew Mountbatten Windsor walks away with a seven-figure or even eight-figure settlement from the Duchy of Lancaster funds.
