Fans of Tyreek Hill are waiting for an update on the Miami Dolphins wide receiver‘s knee injury, which happened on the field during the September 29, 2025, game against the New York Jets. After catching a pass, the 31-year-old clutched his knee in pain as medics raced to his side. He was subsequently hospitalized, and Dolphins fans are concerned he might be out for the season.

During an interview with WSVN 7News overnight, Hill’s agent, Drew Rosenhaus, discussed the athlete’s injury.

“Are there any torn ligaments, is there torn cartilage, are there any broken bones, to check on the blood flow, any, god forbid, nerve damage? All of this is getting checked out,” Rosenhaus said after the game. “We don’t know the extent of the injury. Doctors have told me he dislocated his knee, which I think was apparent for everyone who watched the horrific play. But what that means, and the extent of the damage, and whether he’ll need surgery, to what extent, all of that we should find out within the next couple hours.”

Below, get a full update on Hill’s knee injury.

What Happened to Tyreek Hill at the September 29 Game?

As seen in footage from the Dolphins-Jets game, Hill caught a pass from quarterback Tua Tagovailoa during the third quarter of the game. After Hill was tackled, his left leg seemed to twist under him. Hill clutched his knee while medics rushed to assess the injury. He was then given an air cast and taken off the field by staff.

Coach Mike McDaniel noted that, despite Hill’s painful injury, he “was probably in the best spirits of any player that I’ve ever seen [have] such a terrible experience.”

“He immediately had wide eyes and was talking, ‘I’m good, just make sure the guys get this win,’” McDaniel added, per ESPN. “He was focused on the team.”

Gloria Velez Says NFL Player Tried To Rape Her When She Was Fourteen

Gloria Velez alleges that 2 Live Crew member Uncle Luke once attempted to pay for her silence to protect an NFL player from a sexual assault allegation.

During a recent appearance on VladTV, the iconic video vixen opened up about her experience touring the country at 14 years old and how the period exposed her to predatory behavior from associates of 2 Live Crew and other celebrities.

“At that time, I almost got raped a few times,” Velez recalled.

Johnny Nunez/WireImage

“But the reason I didn’t tell a lot of people or tell anybody was because I didn’t want to hurt the people that tried to rape me and the ones that did rape me. I thought about their family, I didn’t want to ruin their career, even though they weren’t thinking about what they did to me and how they made me feel.”

Velez remembers that she was on tour with DJ Jealous Jay at the time and traveled to do a show in the Florida Keys where Luke and 2 Live Crew performing.

“Luke had an after party and we all went. There was a new athlete that just got a major deal, a football player and he kept flirting and they kept saying, ‘She’s 14, she’s 14,’ like, chill. They kept telling him that,” Velez said of her friends’ warnings to the unidentified player, who has since retired, according to Velez.

“He’s like, ‘Let’s talk upstairs.’ He was very persistent and I went, ignorantly, and we were upstairs and he tried to rape me. I told him, ‘No, I want to leave,’ and he threw money at me, ‘[saying] how much, how much,’ and kept throwing money.

“I said no, and we went back and forth and he just jumped on me and I just started screaming, even though there was so much noise, so much music. But thank God, my people heard me busted in and he acted like he didn’t care. Like he was above the law, that he was famous and rich.”

“They called me many of times when I got home like, ‘how much money do you need to be quiet?’ I said, but nothing happened.’ He goes, ‘Yeah, but something did happen, even though it didn’t go all the way.’ But I didn’t take any money, and I just said, ‘I’ll be silent, I won’t say anything.’”

When asked, Velez confirms that Luke was one of the ppl who called [to offer money]. “[They offered] a lot of money ’cause he just made a major deal,” Velez said of the unnamed player.

“Later on, I saw him a few times, I never said anything, he never said nothing. As I got older, in my late ’20s, he apologized. He tried to even flirt, I said, ‘That’s not gonna happen.’ I thought that was weird. But I forgave him. I told him I forgive him.”

In a previous interview, 2 Live Crew member Brother Marquise admitted that some men expressed the belief that they had a “pass” to rape women, a mind-state he said was uncommon in Miami at that time. “Some of that sh*t was going on,” Marquis, who passed away in 2024, said of the sexual violence against women.

“We got to Miami, it was sort of a lawless place where anything goes. Girls were there and there were guys that were really extra on some thug, some goon sh*t. In Miami, it was nothing, you’d hear guys [say] all the time, ‘I got a rape license.’ I used to see girls get abused and slapped for not participating.”

VIBE has reached out to Luther “Uncle Luke” Campbell and his representatives for comment.

David Fry was taken to a hospital after being hit by a pitch. The moment turned into a bloody scene when the 29-year-old Cleveland Guardians player tried to bunt a ball, then quickly covered his face in pain after a pitch by Detroit Tigers’ Tarik Skubal struck him. Skubal was visibly shaken by the incident and spoke with reporters after the game, which Cleveland won. But baseball fans — from both sides — want an update on Fry’s frightening injury.

Below, get the latest update on Fry’s condition.

Who Is David Fry?

Fry is an outfielder, catcher and first basemen for the Guardians. The Texas native made his MLB debut in 2023, and he was named an All-Star in 2024.

What Happened to David Fry? About His Face Injury

As seen in footage from the September 23, 2025, game, Fry was about to bunt a ball, but that plan fell sideways when the ball missed the bat and struck him straight in the face. Fry reacted and quickly fell to the ground, wincing in pain as he covered his face. Meanwhile, the pitcher, Skubal, covered his mouth in shock, took off his hat and briefly walked off the mound.

Guardians and Tigers players were visibly stunned as medics rushed to Fry’s side. An encouraging sign emerged, though, when Fry was able to stand up and walk onto the medical cart. He held a towel to his face to stop the bleeding.

Update After David Fry Was Hospitalized

Guardians reporter Tim Stebbins shared updates via X on September 23 about Fry’s hospitalization. He tweeted that Fry was “undergoing further assessment at Lutheran Medical Center” before the athlete was transferred to the Cleveland Clinic Main Campus for “further testing and observation and is likely to be held overnight, per the Guardians.”

After the game, Guardians manager Stephen Vogt told reporters that Fry was “getting tested” at the hospital and “stayed conscious the whole time,” which was a positive sign.

“Definitely some injuries there,” he acknowledged. “So, I’ll give you an update tomorrow.”

Skubal spoke with reporters as well about the harrowing moment. According to the Associated Press, the pitcher said he had “already reached out to” Fry, though was “sure his phone [was] blowing up.”

“I just want to make sure he’s all right,” Skubal said. “Obviously, he seemed like he was OK coming off the field, and hopefully, it stays that way. I know sometimes with those things that can change. So ,hopefully he’s all right.”

Skubal added that he was looking forward to “hopefully, at some point” receiving a text from Fry and “making sure he’s all good because there’s things that are bigger than the game and the health of him is more important than a baseball game.”

The next day, on September 24, Vogt told the Associated Press that Fry sustained a broken nose and facial fractures.

Did ‘Jeopardy!’ Player Paolo Pasco Qualify For the Tournament of Champions?

by jummy84 September 16, 2025
written by jummy84

[Warning: The following post contains MAJOR spoilers for the Tuesday, September 16, episode of Jeopardy!]

Paolo Pasco returned for his fifth Jeopardy! game on Tuesday, September 16, where he tried to win yet again to qualify for the upcoming Tournament of Champions.

A Jeopardy! player must win five games to participate in the ToC. With a four-day total of $107,342 and multiple runaway wins, the odds looked good for Pasco, a puzzle writer.

For his fifth game, the San Diego, California, resident played against Susan Harris, from Chicago, Illinois, and Alex Rossell Hayes, from Baltimore, Maryland.

The beginning of the game started off great for Pasco. He correctly answered three out of four clues, and on the fifth clue, he found the Daily Double. Pasco had $2,400 in his bank and made it a true Daily Double. In “Words in Friendliness,” the clue read, “From the Latin for ‘unfaithful,’ it’s an unbeliever with respect to a particular religion.” “What is infidel?” he answered correctly, doubling his winnings to $4,800.

Pasco answered 16 clues correctly in the first round and none incorrectly, giving him $10,800. Harris, a professor, had six correct answers and a total of $4,200. Despite getting one wrong, Hayes had a total of five correct responses for $4,000.

The beginning of the Double Jeopardy round saw a few correct responses from both Pasco and Hayes, as well as two Triple Stumpers. Pasco found the first DD of the round on clue seven. He had $14,000 in his bank and wagered $5,000. In “Fiery Words & Phrases,” the clue was “A Christian rite begins this phrase for a severe introductory trial.” Pasco correctly answered with “What is baptism by fire?” giving him a huge lead with $19,000.

The rest of the round was filled with Triple Stumpers, correct answers from Pasco, and a few from his opponents, but they couldn’t catch up to him in the end. The final DD was found by Pasco again on clue 23. He had $25,400 and wagered $2,000 in “‘Great’ Stuff.” The clue was “This 5,000 aquatic carnivore can detect one drop of blood in 25 gallons of water.” The correct response was “What is a great white shark?” which Pasco came up with, giving him a lead of $27,400.

Going into Final Jeopardy, the reigning champion’s score was $28,200. Hayes moved up to second with $9,600. Harris had $3,400.

The category for Final Jeopardy was “Historic Americans.” The clue read, “Upon this man’s re-election, Karl Marx called him ‘the single-minded son of the working class.’” None of the contestants got it right, and two of them gave joke answers. Abraham Lincoln was the correct response.

Harris answered with “Who is Andrew Jackson?” She wagered $3,399 and dropped down to $1. Hayes’ answer was “Who has thumbs and is happy to come in second?” Clearly wrong, his final total was $9,599 after wagering $1. Pasco took a risk with his answer — “Who wants to recreate that OK Go music video with me?” — but was careful with his wager of $1,026.

This made Pasco the night’s winner with a final total of $27,174. He qualified for the Tournament of Champions and has a five-day total of $134,516. Pasco will return for game six on Wednesday, September 17.

‘Man of Steel’ Steel Guitar Player Was 63

by jummy84 September 9, 2025
written by jummy84

Accomplished steel guitar player and producer Robby Turner, who has played with artists including Waylon Jennings, Willie Nelson, The Highwaymen and Chris Stapleton, died Thursday, Sept. 4, at age 63.

Turner’s son Bobby Turner confirmed the passing of his father on social media, writing, “We’re sad, but we know he’s walking without any help, and he’s no longer in pain.”

Known as the “Man of Steel,” Turner played on projects including the 1976 album Wanted! The Outlaws, from Jennings, Nelson, Jessi Colter and Tompall Glaser, which spawned the Jennings/Nelson hit “Good Hearted Woman” and became the first country album to become certified platinum by the Recording Industry Association of America.

Turner also recorded and toured with country supergroup The Highwaymen (Jennings, Nelson, Kris Kristofferson and Johnny Cash) and contributed to the group’s 1990 project The Highwayman 2 and their 1995 album The Road Goes On Forever. He contributed to several of Jennings’ albums and became the Country Music Hall of Famer’s primary steel guitar player until Jennings’ death in 2002.

In 2019, Turner was honored as part of the Country Music Hall of Fame and Museum’s Nashville Cats series. During his interview for the series, he said of working with Jennings, “Waylon never really told us what to do…we just played until he smiled.”

Turner contributed to albums by Tanya Tucker, Randy Travis, John Prine, Marty Stuart, Jim Lauderdale, Loretta Lynn, Travis Tritt, The Oak Ridge Boys, and more recently, projects from Chris Stapleton, Sturgill Simpson and Colter Wall, playing on Stapleton’s CMA Awards album of the year-winning projects Traveller and From A Room: Volume 1, Simpson’s High Top Mountain, and Wall’s self-titled album. He also performed with artists including Johnny Paycheck and The Chicks.

Turner was surrounded by music from an early age; his parents Doyle and Bernice Turner were part of Hank Williams Sr.’s Drifting Cowboys from 1946-1948.

During the Nashville Cats series, Turner also spoke of why he loved both recording steel guitar in the studio and also playing onstage. “It was part of my learning process,” he said. “I had to. I wasn’t going to just fall right into the studio. [Steel guitar player, known for his work with George Jones, Tammy Wynette and others] Pete Drake, my mother would take me by there and drop me off at Pete’s place…when I was younger, [steel guitarist, known for work with artists including Dolly Parton and Charley Pride] Lloyd Green and Pete Drake owned the radio…Pete asked me when I was 12, ‘What do you want to be? A session player or a road guy, play with artists live?’…I thought about it and the next couple of months when I was down there…I said, ‘I want to be able to do both. I want to play on records and I want to produce records…I’ve had recording equipment since I was nine years old…I want to do both, but I really want to concentrate on studio stuff.”

Of performing with The Highwaymen, Turner said, “That was the greatest band that you could ever ask to play with…the American rhythm section and those four guys. Sometimes I would literally pinch myself, it was like a dream…it was one of the highlights of my life.”

Along the way, Turner also released his own projects, including 1996’s Man of Steel and 1998’s Steel Country.

Jennings’ son, musician/producer Shooter Jennings, wrote in tribute to Turner on X, “So sad to hear about Robby Turner. A once in a lifetime talent and the funniest guy I ever met. What a player. Was lucky to have toured and recorded with him many times. Rest in Peace, Robby.”

Silksong smashes Hollow Knight peak player count in minutes

by jummy84 September 4, 2025
written by jummy84

After many long years in the making, Hollow Knight: Silksong is finally here, and it broke records (and Steam) mere minutes into its launch.

As the most wishlisted game on Steam, perhaps this shouldn’t come as a surprise. Still, we can’t help but be in awe of what the Australian trio behind Team Cherry has managed to pull off.

Perhaps what makes this record even more impressive is that the original Hollow Knight got a new all-time peak player count the day before Silksong launched.

By entering your details you are agreeing to our terms and conditions and privacy policy. You can unsubscribe at any time.

This site is protected by reCAPTCHA and the Google Privacy Policy and Terms of Service apply.

That peak was 72,916 players, according to SteamDB, which is a huge achievement for a 2D indie Metroidvania that released all the way back in 2017.

An impressive figure, though one that can’t compete with Silksong’s numbers.

Hollow Knight: Silksong hit 89,646 players only 20 minutes after the game launched at 3PM BST 4th September 2025, according to SteamDB.

This number will only grow, and we will keep an eye on what the peak player count ends up being.

As Silksong wasn’t available for pre-order, the number of people scrambling to buy it and install the game managed to crash Steam, with SteamDB going down with the ship too.

Seeing as Silksong released quite early for US players and late in the day in Asia and Oceania, we may see some significant peaks and troughs, and it could be that only by the weekend, we’ll be able to witness Hollow Knight: Silksong’s true power.

Time will only tell, but we can’t wait for the dust to settle so that we can get a proper measure of how the hugely anticipated title performed – and if it has met players’ expectations.

No review code was made available, so players will be making a leap of faith. Make sure to check back in on RadioTimes.com for review roundups and post-launch coverage!

‘Basketball Wives’ Star Brittany Renner Has Heated Custody Exchange w/ NBA Player PJ Washington: ‘Suck My D*ck’

Things turned nasty during a recent custody exchange between #BrittanyRenner and #PJWashington.

Footage making its rounds on the internet shows how things quickly went left when PJ arrived to pick up his son from Brittany. Before the #DallasMavericks player makes it down the front steps, Brittany confronts him about their son crying, as the toddler seemingly didn’t want to go. “Every time he does this, I’m going to record it,” Brittany tells PJ. “This is the third time he’s done it; he just doesn’t want to go with you,” she continues, “So, actually show up!”

Things only escalate from there, with Brittany and her mom following PJ to the car as he places the child in the backseat. “It’s up with me, just know that,” Renner says, to which PJ tells her to “suck d**k.” When Brittany’s mom enters the chat with “What you say?” PJ says, “I didn’t stutter…Suck my d**k.”

Brittany’s mother then accuses PJ of giving his “hoe” wife, Alisah Chanel, $170,000, while only putting $11,000 in his son’s bank account. Well, Alisah, who is sitting in the passenger seat during the crazy ordeal, quickly replies with, “Shut the f**k up!”

The recording ends before verbal threats turned physical.

‘Springsteen’ and ‘Ballad of a Small Player’ Are Oscar Players

by jummy84 August 30, 2025
written by jummy84

Anyone who had doubts about “The Bear” star Jeremy Allen White’s ability to carry a movie as the Boss can put them away. Scott Cooper’s “Springsteen: Deliver Me from Nowhere” focuses on the period after Springsteen’s rise to fame in 1981 when he settles in a lakehouse in New Jersey to create the album “Nebraska,” laying down tracks by himself with new technology that was far from professional level.

The movie traces his fraught early years with his alcoholic father (Stephen Graham) and the counterbalancing gentle support coming from his manager Jon Landau (Jeremy Strong). The movie has some performances, but mostly Cooper and White are looking inside Springsteen, as he faces depression and fights for his album to be realized the way he hears it: Spare, intimate, echoey. He sets aside obvious hit tracks like “Born in the USA” and “Glory Days” for a later recording, the eventual album smash “Born in the USA.”

Jeremy Allen White, Harris Dickinson, Paul Mescal at the Telluride brunch

Who does that? Bruce. This movie could be a commercial success for Disney’s Twentieth Century Pictures, and proves that White is a star. Acting award nominations, certainly, are in the offing, as reviews are otherwise mixed.

Jeremy Allen White in Springsteen: Deliver Me from Nowhere
‘Springsteen: Deliver Me from Nowhere’20th Century Fox

Opening night also brought Edward Berger’s return to Telluride a year after “Conclave,” which went on to eight Oscar nominations and an adapted screenplay win. “Ballad of a Small Player,” adapted by Rowan Joffe from the Lawrence Osborne novel, is a meticulously mounted, gorgeous jewel of a movie set in the glittering gambling palaces of Macau. For all its showy camera moves, the movie centers on its tortured protagonist, a seedy gambling addict who is running out of time. Sporting a mustache, cravat, bright velvet jackets, and yellow gloves, Colin Farrell as con man “Lord Doyle” runs the gamut of sweaty emotions as he wins, loses, and faces desperate thoughts. The hotel is chasing him for his bill, and a private detective (Tilda Swinton) is chasing him for stealing money from a wealthy old woman. How far will his addiction take him?

Farrell could win some support from the Academy actors branch for taking on this moral steeplechase where the outcome is far from clear. We root for him to find his way, as the exit door gets smaller and smaller. Netflix is pushing the film for awards.

Next up: Chloe Zhao’s “Hamnet” screens Saturday as well as the first arrival from Venice, Yorgos Lanthimos’ “Bugonia.”
