Keyshia Ka’oir Reflects on Dallas Cowboys Player Marshawn Kneeland’s Apparent S#icide, Addresses Backlash Over Husband Gucci Mane: “I Didn’t Cast a Spell on Him!”

Entrepreneur Keyshia Ka’oir is speaking out following the tragic d*ath of Dallas Cowboys player Marshawn Kneeland, using her platform to address the seriousness of mental health struggles.

In a heartfelt Instagram post, Ka’oir expressed condolences to Kneeland’s family while reflecting on her own experience navigating her husband Gucci Mane’s mental health challenges. “RIP to Marshawn Kneeland & my condolences to his family! Mental health is real and those episodes are a nightmare for the person going thru it & the family members involved!” she wrote.

Ka’oir also addressed the backlash she’s faced in the past for discussing mental health publicly, saying, “My husband & I tried to raise awareness & the narrative was changed to me controlling him! Me putting a spell on him! How DISGUSTING! WHY? All because he’s a responsible adult who has finally accepted he has mental health issues & did something about it!”

She continued by emphasizing the importance of compassion and understanding. “We need to do better as a community! Everything is not a joke! If u have never dealt with someone with mental health please sit this one out! Never have I controlled my husband! However during an episode all family members must step in and control the situation! OR IT CAN GO REALLY BAD!” Ka’oir concluded her post with a plea for awareness and action: “We can help save more lives! Mental health is not a joke & should be taken very seriously!” She ended with the hashtag #MentalHealth.

Her message follows reports confirming that Kneeland, 24, died from an apparent self-inflicted gunshot wound, according to reports, which also reported that police dispatch audio revealed he told his family goodbye during what authorities described as an apparent mental episode.

Cincinnati Bengals Player, NBC Broadcaster Was 80

by jummy84 November 3, 2025
written by jummy84

Bob Trumpy, who was an original member of the Cincinnati Bengals for 10 years before enjoying a career as a network radio and television analyst, has died. He was 80.

The Bengals announced that Trumpy died peacefully Sunday and was surrounded by family at home in the Cincinnati area. The team had a moment of silence before its game against the Chicago Bears.

“I’ve known Bob since we started here and he had an extraordinary career as both a player and a broadcaster,” Bengals president Mike Brown said in a statement. “He was an exceptional and rare tight end who could get downfield and split zone coverages. Speed was his hallmark. He was as fast as any wide receiver and was a deep threat. That was rare for a tight end then and it’s rare now.

“As a broadcaster, he made his mark both locally and nationally and excelled at sports other than football in a career that was as successful as what he accomplished on the field.”

Trumpy played collegiately at the University of Utah before being drafted by the AFL expansion Bengals in the 12th round of the 1968 common draft. He scored the franchise’s first receiving touchdown on a 58-yard reception against Denver on Sept. 15, 1968.

Trumpy’s 4,600 receiving yards, 35 receiving touchdowns and 15.4 yards per catch remain the most by a tight end in team history.

After retiring, Trumpy went on to have a distinguished career in radio and television. He joined NBC Sports as an NFL analyst in 1978 and called games through 1997, when it lost the AFC package to CBS.

Trumpy was NBC’s lead analyst with Dick Enberg from 1992-94 and he called two Super Bowls. He also called and two Super Bowls with Don Criqui on radio and would be a part of three Summer Olympics and three Ryder Cups for NBC.

The Pro Football Hall of Fame gave Trumpy the Pete Rozelle Radio-Television Award in 2014 for lifetime achievement in NFL broadcasting.

“Every town has someone that’s the heartbeat and Bob was that for Cincinnati,” NBC analyst Cris Collinsworth said by phone before calling Sunday night’s game between the Seattle Seahawks and Washington Commanders. “He was the most brutally honest person I’ve heard and the first person I knew to make the jump to network television. He was also the carrot in front of me and someone who I aspired to be.”

Trumpy also was a sports talk show host in Cincinnati from 1980-89. In 1983, while hosting Sportstalk on WLW, he received a call from a despondent woman who said she was going to commit suicide.

Trumpy spent the next 2 1/2 hours on the phone with the woman — who identified herself as “Sugar” — until police located her.

“I don’t know why she called a sports talk show,” Trumpy told the Los Angeles Times in 1993. “It probably was just the first phone number she heard on the radio and decided to call it.

“I sure didn’t feel like a hero after that. I hated that woman. She wasn’t the only one who had to go to a crisis center for therapy. So did I, since I couldn’t figure out why I hated her. They convinced me I hated her because of what she put me through.”

Collinsworth took over from Trumpy on Sportstalk in 1989 and called it a great training ground for his eventual rise at NBC and Fox.

“I don’t know anything harder than talk radio. You get over your fear of anyone being upset at you,” Collinsworth said. “I had fun going on his show over the years. He was a good friend.”

#GilbertArenas had a little jokey joke to get off his chest following the arrests of #ChaunceyBillups and #TerryRozier.

Playing into online chatter suggesting he might’ve had something to do with the FBI probe that broke the internet today, the retired #NBA player wrote, “Got that Informant Lunch special this morning.” If you recall, Arenas was arrested over the summer for allegedly running an illegal gambling operation out of his Los Angeles home.

This morning (Oct. 23), Portland #TrailBlazers head coach Chauncey Billups and #MiamiHeat guard Terry Rozier were among more than 30 individuals arrested in a sweeping federal investigation into illegal sports-betting and poker-rigging schemes.

Is it too soon for Arenas to be playing around?

Official Trailer for Macau’s ‘Ballad of a Small Player’ with Colin Farrell

“What I see is a man way beyond any redemption.” This looks like one helluva sweaty thriller! Netflix has revealed the full official trailer for the vivid gambling movie titled Ballad of a Small Player, the latest creation from the acclaimed German filmmaker Edward Berger following All Quiet on the Western Front & Conclave most recently. This premiered at the 2025 Telluride & Toronto Film Festivals last month. And it hits theaters briefly later in October before it’s streaming on Netflix this month. When his past and his debts start to catch up with him, a high-stakes gambler / corrupt English lawyer laying low in Macau in the East encounters a kindred spirit who might just hold the key to salvation. The book it’s based on is also described as a “vivid and feverish portrait of a soul in self-inflicted purgatorio.” Exactly what this looks like. The film stars Colin Farrell as Lord Doyle, with Fala Chen, Deanie Ip, Alex Jennings, and Tilda Swinton as a private investigator chasing him. With cinematography by James Friend (All Quiet on the Western Front, “The Acolyte”), and music composed by Volker Bertelmann. Even though this has pretty bad reviews from the festivals, I’m still curious about it anyway. The visuals and intensity of Farrell’s performance look good.

Here’s main official trailer (+ poster) for Edward Berger’s film Ballad of a Small Player, from YouTube:

Ballad of a Small Player Teaser Trailer

Ballad of a Small Player Teaser Poster

You can watch the teaser trailer for Berger’s Ballad of a Small Player film right here for the first look again.

Lord Doyle (Colin Farrell) is laying low in Macau – spending days & nights on the casino floors, drinking heavily and gambling what little money he has left. Struggling to keep up with his fast-rising debts, he is offered a lifeline by the mysterious Dao Ming (Fala Chen), a casino employee with secrets of her own. In hot pursuit is Cynthia Blithe (Tilda Swinton) – a private investigator ready to confront Doyle with what he is running from. As Doyle tries to climb to salvation, the confines of reality start to close in. Ballad of a Small Player is directed by the Academy Award-nominated German filmmaker Edward Berger, director of the films Strait-Jacket, Sidewalk Hotel, Smelly Dinners, Wanderbread, Gomez: Heads or Tails, Jack, All My Loving, 2022’s All Quiet on the Western Front, and Conclave previously, and TV series “Deutschland 83” & “Patrick Melrose”. The screenplay is written by Rowan Joffe (of Last Resort, 28 Weeks Later, The American, Brighton Rock, Before I Go To Sleep, Locked In). Based on the novel of the same name from Lawrence Osborne. Produced by Mike Goodridge, Edward Berger, Matthew James Wilkinson. It premieres at the 2025 Toronto Film Festival this fall. Netflix will then debut Berger’s Ballad of a Small Player film in select US theaters briefly on October 15th, 2025, and streaming on Netflix starting October 29th, 2025.

Maggie Baugh was absent from Keith Urban’s first show since the news of his split with Nicole Kidman broke.

Keith Urban’s guitarist Maggie Baugh has found herself in the spotlight amid the musician’s split with Nicole Kidman.

Keith Urban switched a line from a song reportedly inspired by Nicole Kidman, his estranged wife, to one where Maggie Baugh was mentioned. (Instagram/maggie_baugh)

Days before the split, Baugh had posted a video where Urban swapped out a key lyric from his song The Fighter, which is reportedly inspired by Kidman. “When they’re tryna get to you, Maggie, I’ll be your guitar player,” Urban sang on stage, replacing “When they’re tryna get to you, baby, I’ll be the fighter.”

Baugh had captioned it “Did he just say that.” Now, she’s reportedly not been in Urban’s first concert since the news of his split with Kidman came out.

5 things to know about Maggie Baugh

  • Maggie’s father reportedly said he was not privy to any relationship between Baugh and Urban. “I don’t know anything about it, other than she’s a guitar player for him,” he said to the Daily Mail, adding “It’s more of a musician thing than a dating thing.
  • Baugh reportedly began her songwriting career at 13. She told the Hamilton County Reporter “I started going to Nashville when I was 13 and started songwriting around the same age. I put out my very first record when I was 13 years old..”, she said. “When I was 18 years old, I moved to Nashville and started touring a bunch. Last year, I was on tour with Keith Urban and it’s been a crazy wild journey, man,” Baugh added.
  • Maggie shared that she does not come from a family with a background in music. “Nobody in my family plays music. I’m literally the only one. Isn’t that crazy? I’m the oddball. My dad is a microbiologist, and my mom is a stay-at-home mom who runs a dog training business on the side.,” she added.
  • She recently teased a new single about fighting temptation amidst negativity. “There is so many negative vibes in the world right now. I wanted to write this song to give some encouragement,” Baugh wrote on Instagram.
  • One time she also compared her music to music to her ‘boyfriend’. “I feel like music has always just been my boyfriend. So, whenever I have a boyfriend, it’s always like, ‘Oh, you’re just temporary,” Baugh told People, adding, “But when I do go through a breakup, I don’t go to the bar. I put my guitar in my hands.”
