DC title teaser

The 1-minute-long teaser appears to hint at a Bonny and Clyde-style story. It shows various shots of Lokesh and Wamiqa walking through a walkway and later in a room together. With the camera cuts to reveal Lokesh, he is seen covered in blood, smoking a cigarette and rolling his sleeves as he walks. Wamiqa also puts a flower in her hair and seems determined as she walks towards him. It ends with them in a room together, looking at each other in anticipation of whatever happens next. In the video, Lokesh is introduced as Devadas, and Wamiqa is introduced as Chandra.

About DC

Arun has directed DC with additional screenplay by Arun Ranjan and dialogues by Arun and Franklin Jacob. Sanjana Krishnamoorthy is also part of the film, though her character isn’t revealed yet. This film marks the acting debut of Lokesh, who last appeared in Shruti Haasan’s music video, Inimel. Anirudh Ravichander has composed the film’s music. The song that plays in the teaser, Ain’t Nobody, features Ram Kumar’s vocals and lyrics by the mysterious Heisenberg. The film’s release date and further details have not been announced yet.

Wamiqa was last seen in Bhool Chuk Maaf and has numerous films lined up, including G2, Pati Patni Aur Woh Do, Bhoot Bangla, Genie and more.

Alexandra Burke to play Chaka Khan in West End

26 October 2025

Alexandra Burke is set to play Chaka Khan in a new West End stage production.

Alexandra Burke is set to play Chaka Khan

The 37-year-old pop star will play the funk legend in I’m Every Woman: The Musical, which will run at the Peacock Theatre in London from March 5 to 28.

Alexandra told The Sun newspaper: “Almost 17 years ago, with my late mother by my side, I sang Chaka for my very first non-televised audition for The X Factor.

“To think I would be given the opportunity to play Chaka Khan in the West End would have been unimaginable back then.

“Thank you, Mama, for your love and guidance. I’ll be looking up at you at every show. This is a dream role for me. I’m still pinching myself.

“We love I’m Every Woman, Ain’t Nobody and I Feel For You, but I encourage you to dive deep into her incredible solo catalogue and tracks with RUFUS – it’s timeless, just like the legend herself.”

Alexandra previously admitted that motherhood had enhanced her music and acting ambitions.

The singer – who has a three-year-old and a two-year-old whose names have not been publicly revealed – told OK! magazine: “Being a mum has made me want to work harder.

“There’s so much more I’d love to do – especially in acting. I’ve got the bug for it now.”

Alexandra’s music career has taken a back seat in recent years due to her pregnancies. However, the singer insisted that she remains ambitious.

She said: “Music is still at the forefront of my mind. And I would love to be a part of a production of ‘The Princess And The Frog’ one day – I’d love to play Princess Tiana, the first ever Black Disney princess.”

The Bad Boys hitmaker observed that parenting can be so “rewarding” – even though it’s also “chaos” at times.

The former X Factor star said of her family life: “It’s chaos at times, but you need to embrace the chaos. There are ups and downs and daily challenges, but it’s so rewarding.”

Elizabeth Olsen Would “Jump At The Chance” To Play Scarlet Witch Again | Glamsham.com

Elizabeth Olsen has made it clear she’s ready to return to the Marvel Cinematic Universe, as long as the story and format are right. In a new interview, the actress said she “would jump at the opportunity” to play Scarlet Witch again, adding that she still feels deeply connected to the character and her arc.

Olsen explained that while she’s open to independent projects, she now prioritizes movies with guaranteed theatrical releases. “If a movie is made independently and only sells to a streamer, then fine. But I don’t want to make something where that’s the end all,” she said. For her, the theater experience remains an essential part of storytelling and audience connection.

She also spoke about her passion for Marvel and how much she values Wanda Maximoff’s complex journey. “It’s something that I love, and it’s something I always want to return to,” Olsen said. She acknowledged that there are still many comic storylines involving Scarlet Witch that she’d love to explore, hinting that she’d be open to reprising the role if the right project came along.

As her upcoming film Eternity prepares for its theatrical release, Olsen’s comments show how her priorities have evolved, from streaming projects like WandaVision to experiences that bring audiences back to the big screen.

While Marvel hasn’t officially confirmed a Scarlet Witch return, Olsen’s remarks have reignited excitement among fans who have been eager to see her back in action. For now, she’s leaving the door open, just not for a streaming-only debut.

5 Indian Stars Perfect For Dev In Brahmāstra 2

5 Indian Stars Who Could Play The Lead In Ayan Mukerji’s Fantasy Drama Sequel

5 Actors Who Could Play Dev In Brahmāstra 2 ( Photo Credit – Facebook/YouTube)

After his last film, the Hrithik Roshan and Jr. NTR starrer action-thriller War 2, underperformed in theaters, filmmaker Ayan Mukerji’s recent social media post sparked speculation about the sequel to Brahmastra: Part One – Shiva. While the massively mounted 2022 film received mixed reviews from critics, it struck the right chord with a large segment of cinephiles, thanks to the lead pair of Ranbir Kapoor and Alia Bhatt and world-class visual effects.

If the speculation turns out to be true, and the much-anticipated sequel Brahmāstra: Part Two – Dev is indeed happening, the big question is, who will play the titular role this time? Here are five Indian actors who could be a perfect fit to play Dev in Ayan Mukerji’s ambitious second installment of the planned trilogy.

1. Ranveer Singh

Ever since the release of the first Brahmāstra film, many fans have speculated that Ranveer Singh could play Dev, while Deepika Padukone might portray Amrita. The ever-energetic Gully Boy actor, who will next be seen in Aditya Dhar’s spy actioner Dhurandhar, is undoubtedly one of the most exciting choices to bring Dev’s intense and fiery character to life.

What an incredible transformation by Ranveer!

This is why he’s the greatest of this generation ,the actor who gives it his all for every single role. Phenomenal!
I can’t wait for the trailer that will drop on 12th November 2025.

2. Hrithik Roshan

While his last film, War 2, also directed by Ayan Mukerji, may not have performed at the box office as expected, one should never underestimate Hrithik Roshan’s star power, box office appeal, and acting prowess. He has the intensity and screen presence needed to portray the formidable Dev in Brahmāstra: Part Two – Dev. If that happens, fans will finally witness two powerhouse performers, Hrithik Roshan and Ranbir Kapoor, sharing screen space for the very first time.

25 years in the industry and he still has the same aura, good looking and charisma. ❤️‍🔥❤️‍🔥❤️‍🔥#HrithikRoshan #War2 pic.twitter.com/vmirN5sYUN

— فــ (@Aankhenn_) October 11, 2025

3. Ranbir Kapoor

There is a chance that Ranbir Kapoor himself may play the double role of Shiva and Dev in the sequel. Previously, the Animal actor had played the double role of a father and son in Karan Malhotra’s Shamshera. While the period action drama didn’t do well at the box office, Ranbir Kapoor can turn things around in Brahmāstra: Part Two – Dev. The immensely talented actor is gearing up for his next films: Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s Love & War and Nitesh Tiwari’s Ramayana Part One.

4. Prabhas

Casting the Baahubali star Prabhas in a big-ticket film like Brahmāstra: Part Two – Dev alongside Ranbir Kapoor would be a dream come true for fans. If it happens, Ayan Mukerji’s sequel could truly become a pan-Indian cinematic spectacle. The Rebel Star is next set to appear in the romantic horror-comedy The RajaSaab, followed by Hanu Raghavapudi’s next and Sandeep Reddy Vanga’s Spirit.

On our REBEL Fans demand 🤗

5. Jr. NTR

The RRR star Jr. NTR is undoubtedly one of the most intense and talented actors in Indian cinema. His electrifying screen presence was on full display in his recent outing, War 2. Sharing the screen with Ranbir Kapoor could offer audiences a fresh and compelling male lead duo, creating a unique cinematic experience. Jr. NTR fans are also eagerly anticipating his next project with director Prashanth Neel.

I am seeing your love for #War2 and I love you back for it… Incredible to see the public support for our film which we made with a lot of passion. Let’s goooo!@ihrithik @advani_kiara #AyanMukerji @yrf #YRFSpyUniverse pic.twitter.com/fl0eEoO9hK

Watch Ace Frehley Play ‘Deuce’ and ‘New York Groove’ During Final Show

by jummy84 October 17, 2025
written by jummy84

The rock world is in a state of deep mourning for Kiss guitarist Ace Frehley, who died Oct. 16 following a fall at his home.

“We are devastated by the passing of Ace Frehley,” Gene Simmons and Paul Stanley said in a joint statement. “He was an essential and irreplaceable rock soldier during some of the most formative foundational chapters of the band and its history. He is and will always be a part of KISS’s legacy.

Frehley was a part of Kiss from their earliest shows in 1973 all the way until 1982, when he left due to substance abuse issues, musical differences, and persistent personality clashes with Simmons and Stanley. He rejoined in 1996 for the group’s triumphant reunion run, but left again 2002 following the conclusion of the band’s first farewell tour.

The original four members last stood onstage together when they were inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 2015, but they didn’t perform that night. In 2018, however, Frehley played four songs with the new lineup of the band at a Kiss Kruise on Halloween. It was Frehley’s final appearance with the band. Earlier that year, Simmons and Frehley went on a co-headlining tour of Australia, and wrapped up every night by playing a couple of Kiss songs together.

Over the past two decades, Freely toured all across America with his solo band, hitting a mixture of theaters, casinos, clubs, and fairs. His set focused heavily on tunes from the Kiss catalog, but he did break out a few solo gems like “Cherry Medicine,” “Rock Soldiers,” “Rip It Out,” and his famous cover of Russ Ballard’s “New York Groove.”

His last gig took place Sept. 5, 2025, at the Uptown Theater in Providence, Rhode Island. Check out fan-shot footage of show opener “Deuce,” along with “New York Groove.” Like countless Kiss concerts before it, the night wrapped up with “Rock and Roll All Nite.” “This next song if you haven’t heard, it, you’re probably an alien,” Freely told the crowd, “because everyone has heard this song even if you’re not a Kiss fan or an Ace fan. Check it out.”

Editor’s picks

Later that month, Frehley canceled a show at the Antelope Valley Fair in Lancaster, California, after suffering a fall at his home that required a trip to the hospital. About a month later, he pulled all of his remaining dates due to “ongoing medical issues.”

Trending Stories

Kiss are scheduled to make their first live appearance since the conclusion of their 2023 farewell tour at the Kiss Kruise: Landlocked in Vegas event on the weekend of Nov. 14 at Virgin Hotels in Las Vegas. The band hasn’t said exactly what they’ll do at the show, but they won’t be in makeup and they’re promising acoustic and electric tunes.

Fans held out hope that Frehley and Peter Criss would pop up at the event and give the world the proper goodbye they were denied on the second farewell tour. Sadly, that’s now impossible. But odd are high they’ll at least hold a special tribute to Frehley.

Tim Blake Nelson on His Book ‘Superhero,’ New Play, and FX’s ‘Lowdown’

by jummy84 October 16, 2025
written by jummy84

Tim Blake Nelson is a busy man. Suddenly, the 61-year-old actor most folks recognize from Coen brothers movies like “O Brother, Where Art Thou?” and “The Ballad of Buster Scruggs” is hitting screen, stage, and book outlets with a spate of projects within a few months.

Before we sat down in late September for a Zoom conversation (we last spoke about his 2001 holocaust drama “The Grey Zone”), I watched Vincent Grashaw’s well-reviewed boxing indie “Bang Bang“, FX’s scruffy hit series “The Lowdown,” read large chunks of the dead-on accurate Hollywood depiction “Superhero: A Novel” (November 4, The Unnamed Press), and after we spoke, I checked out the La Mama production of his chilling and prescient dystopian play “And Then We Were No More,” starring the commanding Elizabeth Marvel.

Sul Kyung-gu in Good News

This interview has been edited for length and clarity.

Anne Thompson: Why are you suddenly so productive?

Tim Blake Nelson: Oh, it’s an oversubscribed year. I hadn’t planned it like this. I also directed a new movie this year that I wrote that I’m finishing right now.

The romantic prison drama “The Life and Deaths of Wilson Shedd,” starring Amanda Seyfried?

Yes. The performances by Amanda Seyfried and Scoot McNairy are extraordinary. It’s an ambitious movie. It’s not finished. We’ve locked picture, but we have a lot of work to do: sound and score and VFX. We’ll try to sell it next year.

“Superhero” is your second book, after “City of Blows.” What did you want to accomplish with this one that’s different from the first one?

I started writing “Superhero” in 2022. I like the way my wife describes it, because I think she’s right: “City of Blows” was in large part about the venality of the movie industry, whereas so much of “Superhero” is about what I love. It celebrates at the same time, even in its most ridiculously true moments that expose how myopic and selfish we can be [while] doing what we do and making movies. It’s also always loving that process. There’s more of a tenderness to “Superhero.”

The book felt accurate, like you’re trying to give us a sense of what’s going on. You focus on a movie star who accepts a superhero role that changes his life.

There is little in “Superhero” that I haven’t observed personally or heard from reliable sources who experienced it personally.

Was it easy for you to write that book, or hard? You got to do some firsthand research!

“Superhero” was easier to write than “City of Blows,” partly because “Superhero” is my second go at it, so I have more experience. “Superhero” is more of a celebration of moviemaking, and that made it more fun to write. I also knew earlier on where “Superhero” was headed, and so there was less anxiety in the writing of it as to whether or not it was going to amount to a full-fledged cohesive narrative. Also, while writing “Superhero,” I got cast in “Captain America” [“Brave New World”] as the villain [The Leader]. It became two months of paid research, being on that set and spending time with producers on that movie who were eager to share a lot of process stuff, of which, as an actor, I might otherwise have been unaware.

Your comic-book empire Sparta is run by Max Kleiner. Is he a version of Marvel CEO Kevin Feige?

It’s loosely based on my experiences. I don’t know Kevin well enough to have based a character on him. So he’s my own version of somebody running a comic book studio based on what I know of the comic book studios, and I’ve worked for several of them, so it’s not meant to be Marvel, but having worked with Marvel, and having worked on movies at Warner Bros. and all the studios and knowing studio heads, and hearing them talk about their work and studio executives, it’s all a stew.

You’ve written how many plays?

It’s my fifth. It’s directed by Mark Wing-Davey. In the near future, an algorithm has taken over the justice system, in addition to much of life in an unnamed country. The algorithm has determined that anyone who is deemed beyond rehabilitation should be dispatched [via] a machine that executes people in a manner that’s called “without pain.” You walk into this machine, and you’re gone. In the play, Beth Marvel plays a lawyer who’s been summoned to an incarceration facility to represent a young female inmate [debuting Juilliard grad Elizabeth Yeoman] who has elected to change the manner of her execution from “without pain” to “with pain.” The institution doesn’t want to. It was inspired by, not based on, Kafka’s “In the Penal Colony,” which I was reading with one of my sons. I set out to do my own version suited to our moment.

I first met your “Bang Bang” director Vincent Grashaw when he produced “Bellflower.” How did you two connect? He had some fighting background, but you did not?

Oh, I didn’t. I extensively trained, which was great. That’s part of what I love about acting. He had wanted me to [play the title role] in “What Josiah Saw,” and I couldn’t do it. But we had a good back and forth, and they asked a bunch of people to play “Bang Bang,” and actors kept saying no.

You take an irresponsible, drug-loving, down-on-his-luck once-great boxer, and make us care about him anyway.

'Bang Bang'
‘Bang Bang’Tribeca Film Festival

Eventually, they got around to me. It’s exactly the role I want to be playing: challenging, unfamiliar, arduous process in prep, arduous process making it. Why live life if you’re not going to take that kind of thing on? It’s truly what I wake up in the morning and want to do in whatever I’m pursuing, whether it’s writing a book or a play or directing a movie or getting to act in a role. And I said, “Absolutely, so long as the producers are going to support Vince’s vision.” And then the second one was, “I want six months to prepare.” And so they scheduled for that, and I went to work boxing, training five times a week, for several hours a day.

You were 59? It’s harder at that age, right?

Yeah, obviously. And also, I’m a scrawny Jew. I’m not a natural boxer, and I’m not a physically aggressive person. My default position isn’t: How do I take somebody apart? I needed the time to let the character seep in. And there was the Michigan accent and the fact that the guy doesn’t shut up. So it was a lot of lines to learn. When I go do a movie, I learn the whole part before I get on set. It’s something I learned from Daniel Day-Lewis, just a new level of prep that has been much better for me with these movies, especially as I’ve been getting to play larger roles, and the responsibility has increased. When the movies are severely under-resourced, you have to be ready to go in and get it in a couple of takes. I’ve learned that confidence. Vince is a great guy. He’s smart. He directs with no self-importance, no frills. He tells stories in the most beautifully basic way.

The movie felt gritty and authentic. It’s the kind of independent movie I admire. It’s hard to get them made.

The platform for seeing movies of that sort is now more and more the home television screen. So movies are made, you could even say, to a degree responsibly, not with a 14-foot-high screen in mind, but a small screen in mind. That makes for less interesting photography, sound, casting choices. Because the bar for recoupment becomes lower, and so there’s less money spent, but also the aesthetic bar becomes lower. You get fewer wide shots. You get less attention to text or sound design, because it’s all going to be compressed anyway, and it has slowly but surely chipped away at the artistic nature of so many of these films.

Well, “The Lowdown” is a fun example of something that you can get away with on television, right?

I’m delighted to be in “The Lowdown” and happy to work with Ethan [Hawke] and Sterlin Harjo, who is an incredible storyteller, not to mention that he’s loyal to my home city of Tulsa.

Next Up: Rookie filmmaker Ari Selinger’s Montauk true romance “On the End,” which is playing the Hamptons, Woodstock, Newport Beach circuit in search of distribution.

P.S. Like the rest of us, Nelson is rooting for the Coens to get back together. (Joel is currently shooting “Jack of Spades” in Europe with Lesley Manville, Damian Lewis, Frances McDormand, and Josh O’Connor.) The brothers have many unproduced scripts in their trunk. Let them direct one!

bitchy | Prince Andrew to Jeffrey Epstein in 2011: ‘We’ll play some more soon!’

by jummy84 October 14, 2025
written by jummy84

Last month, we learned that Sarah Ferguson sent an email apology to Jeffrey Epstein in 2011. The apology, which was full of warmth and flattery, was sent after Epstein threatened to sue Fergie after she publicly “cut ties” with him, which happened after she was exposed for taking money from Epstein. The email was new-to-us, but people who have followed the story of the Yorks’ attachments to Epstein and Ghislaine Maxwell know that Fergie and Prince Andrew were still in contact for years after Epstein’s initial plea deal for sexually abusing minors. Well, something else happened in 2011 – Andrew sent Epstein an email after the publication of the photo of Andrew, Virginia Guiffre and Ghislaine (seen above).

Prince Andrew secretly told paedophile Jeffrey Epstein ‘we are in this together’ a day after The Mail on Sunday first published the infamous picture of the Duke with his alleged teenage sex victim, a bombshell email reveals. In the astonishing message, Andrew said he was ‘concerned’ about the impact this newspaper’s revelations would have on his friend, but reassured the vile billionaire that the pair would ‘rise above’ press scrutiny. It was sent to Epstein 12 weeks after Andrew had supposedly ceased all contact with the convicted sex offender.

The leaked email provides definitive proof that the Duke lied in his interview with BBC’s Newsnight when he claimed he ‘never had any contact’ with Epstein after the pair were famously pictured walking together in New York’s Central Park in December 2010.

The revelation comes just weeks after the MoS exposed how the Duchess of York wrote Epstein a gushing message calling him her ‘supreme friend’ – despite telling journalists she would never have anything to do with him again. The hugely embarrassing email will heap further pressure on the Royal Family to sever all ties with the disgraced Yorks and raise fresh questions about their future at Royal Lodge, a 30-room mansion in Windsor Great Park.

Writing to Epstein on February 28, 2011 – the day after the MoS published the now infamous picture of him with a teenage Virginia Giuffre that led to his downfall – Andrew said: ‘I’m just as concerned for you! Don’t worry about me! It would seem we are in this together and will have to rise above it. Otherwise keep in close touch and we’ll play some more soon!!!!’

Andrew signed off with: ‘A, HRH The Duke of York, KG’. KG refers to Duke’s ‘Knight of the Garter’ – a prestigious position he has held since 2006 and which he still retains.

The MoS has verified the email address used by Andrew, while Epstein’s email address has repeatedly appeared in court documents. Prince Andrew last night declined to comment.

[From The Daily Mail]

“It would seem we are in this together” – I mean, he is correct, they were in it together, they were abusing girls and women together, they were absolutely birds of a feather. “Otherwise keep in close touch and we’ll play some more soon.” In 2011?? Yeah, Andrew and Epstein were still in touch long after Andrew allegedly “cut ties.” Which means he was lying his ass off in that Emily Maitlis interview in 2019. The Mail’s A.N. Wilson – who recently did that “What’s Eating Prince William” piece – spelled out how screwed the Windsors are about this, arguing that even though everyone knows that the Yorks need to be completely cut off, the biggest fear is what happens if Andrew decides to write a book.

So now, the questions that the Palace, and the King, have long tried to avoid are growing louder with each leaked email. When will they actually send Andrew packing? When will the King, who is his brother’s landlord, say that he and his ex-wife Sarah Ferguson simply cannot go on living in Royal Lodge, a 30-room mansion in Windsor Great Park? That they cannot attend royal funerals? That they are not to be lined up with the Royals for church services, Garter ceremonies or anything else? That they are out, completely out?

But royal exile for the Duke could invite even greater problems for the King. The fear is that, untethered from royal protocol, Andrew will become the loosest of loose cannons and his broadsides will splinter the entire Monarchy. For a start, he would need to find an income to fund his lavish lifestyle. Fergie, who has enlisted the help of many a poorly-paid ghostwriter to pen her ludicrously bad children’s books, will no doubt advise Andrew to sign a book deal.

Any publisher would lick their lips at the vault of Windsor secrets he could open, and pay handsomely for it. But they would backpedal fast if Andrew continued to deny any involvement with the Epstein crowd. The only book deal that would be credible is one in which he reveals as much about himself as he does his family, think: Confessions Of A Sex Addict Prince. The Palace must hope that he would not agree to such a memoir as it would be tantamount to admitting criminal offences. However many millions he was offered to write it, he and Fergie would get through the money in next to no time.

So the pair would have to beg for handouts from monied friends, be they paedophile financiers, oligarchs from the ex-Soviet ‘stans or Chinese spies. So this is a real problem, and not only for the immediate family. It is a major crisis for the Monarchy, perhaps the gravest since the abdication of Edward VIII in 1936.

The King and the Prince of Wales cannot be seen to support or underwrite Andrew any more. His very existence as an official Royal is a scandal. So they must cast him out, for if they show him mercy, they are themselves implicated, and we are only a hair’s breadth away from a republic.

[From The Daily Mail]

So the argument is… even though Andrew has the power to completely blow up the Windsors and expose a lot of secrets, the Windsors should still completely cast him aside? Interesting. I still don’t think Charles will do that, but it will happen when William is Scooter King.

Simu Liu, Melissa Barrera Play Spy Games

Simu Liu and Melissa Barrera play dangerous spy games in the teaser trailer for Peacock’s upcoming espionage thriller The Copenhagen Test, which dropped on Sunday.

Liu plays first-generation Chinese-American intelligence analyst Alexander Hale, who discovers his brain has been hacked. That allows access to everything he sees and hears, which makes Hale an open book to his hidden puppet masters.

“I don’t know who I can trust anymore,” Hale says at one point as he’s caught between his shadowy agency and unseen hackers. Enter Barrera as Michelle, a mysterious siren who trades both punches and steamy kisses with Hale, judging by the series’ first-look footage, as he desperately tries to uncover the identity of his hackers.

Meanwhile Hale must continue to act normal to flush out who’s responsible for the hacking and prove where his allegiance lies.  “If they suspect you’re compromised, you’re dead,” Hale is warned as he goes down a rabbit hole in the sci-fi spy thriller.

The Copenhagen Test is set to premiere Dec. 27 on Peacock, and the release of the teaser coincides with co-star Liu touting the eight-parter during a New York Comic Con panel. The series, set five minutes in the future, also stars Sinclair Daniel, Brian D’Arcy James, Mark O’Brien and Kathleen Chalfant.

The Copenhagen Test was created by Thomas Brandon, who also showruns, writes and executive produces the series alongside Jennifer Yale. Also sharing executive producer credits are James Wan, Liu, Michael Clear, Rob Hackett, Mark Winemaker and Jet Wilkinson.
