Kendall Jenner is planning to give up her life in the spotlight and focus on designing houses.

Kendall Jenner is planning to walk away from her career to focus on designing houses

The 29 year old shot to fame on her family’s reality TV show Keeping Up With The Kardashians as a child before launching a career as a model and she now juggles her runway work with filming their latest show The Kardashians – but Kendall is adamant she’s planning to walk away from the entertainment industry because she’s prefers “the simple life”.

She told Vogue magazine: “I swear to God, I’m going to stop everything and just design homes. I’m not kidding …

“I love my space in LA, but I also really love the simple life. I like getting up every morning and throwing on a bathing suit or sweatpants and no make-up and just being free with my day …

“I’ve taught myself more to just be open to whatever comes. I think about the future a lot, but I try not to overplan because you know I’m a planner.”

In the joint interview with pal Gigi Hadid, Kendall revealed she’s currently building a new house away from Los Angeles and Gigi admitted her friend is “one of the only people that I would let design a house for me”.

Despite growing up on TV, Kendall previously admitted her childhood always felt “kind of normal”.

The model made her first appearance on Keeping Up with the Kardashians back in 2007, but Kendall feels she and her younger sister Kylie Jenner were largely sheltered from the spotlight during their younger years.

During an appearance on Emma Chamberlain’s Anything Goes podcast, Kendall explained: “We went to school. We went to school as long as we could. I started home school, 11th and 12th grade.

“So even though we had a TV show at home, we were going to regular school all day and had our friends that we had from before the show started.

“It wasn’t always easy, but it did feel kind of normal …

“Overall I am really grateful because I think it could have been a lot worse. I think that Kylie and I, the one thing we had was a lot of stability, a lot of love and a really great support system and really great friends.

“So it felt like we could remove ourselves a lot of the time and be normal … There’s also an aspect of us being really grateful that we had older siblings that we got to see do things before us and lead us in a way.”

bitchy | Mail: Netflix is already planning to ‘quietly drop’ Duchess Meghan’s As Ever!

This week, I finally got my “replacement” apricot jam from As Ever, as well as the two bottles of orange marmalade jam I ordered in the most recent As Ever product drop. I’ve tried both flavors and I prefer the apricot, for what it’s worth, but I’m still dreaming of a raspberry restock. The most recent product drop was coordinated alongside the premiere of With Love, Meghan’s second season. It feels like the Duchess of Sussex has finally worked out the supply lines for As Ever, right? Meghan’s biggest haters have been screaming about how the most recent products haven’t sold out, but that’s a good thing – Meghan and her team have finally got enough in stock to ensure that people can buy her products whenever they want, like a real functional business. While the scarcity business model works for a time, when you’re selling jams, wine and crepe mixes, people want to buy products whenever they need/want them. It’s bad business to have a sold-out product line for months at a time.

One of the most bizarre conversations happening around As Ever is the “why doesn’t Netflix sell Meghan’s products in their Netflix shops??” Because As Ever is a stand-alone thing? Well, that answer is not good enough for the Mail, or Richard Osman and Marina Hyde.

Meghan Markle’s tie-up with Netflix to sell her jam, pancake mix and flower sprinkles is already ‘petering out’ after just seven months, it was claimed today. The Duchess of Sussex’s As Ever brand is partnered with the streaming giant but none of her products are listed on the Netflix website. Netflix is also opening its first bricks-and-mortar stores in the US later this year so fans of shows such as KPop Demon Hunters, Squid Games and Stranger Things have the chance to buy merchandise. But there are growing doubts that As Ever products will be sold on the shelves despite her formal partnership with the streamer only being announced in February, the Daily Mail understands.

Speaking on her The Rest is Entertainment podcast with Richard Osman, journalist Marina Hyde suggested that Netflix is quietly dropping Meghan’s As Ever.

‘Meghan’s jam is supposedly for sale in the Netflix store. But they don’t even have a tab for her show’, she said. ‘She has gone into a product partnership with them but I’m afraid that will just peter out’.

It came after Meghan and Harry agreed a new TV deal with Netflix but experts said it was a ‘downgrade’ on their previous $100million contract, marking a loosening of ties between them. Her second season of With Love Meghan is only at 136 in the Netflix chart, under two weeks after its release. And it also appears that the Duchess of Sussex, 44, has quietly shut down her ShopMy website, which sold items from £20 ($26) grey t-shirts to £1,600 ($2,000) silk gowns.

The As Ever range was widely expected to be featured in the Philadelphia and Dallas branches of Netflix House, the streaming giant’s first physical stores. But a Netflix source has insisted that no final decisions had yet been made on any of the products that will be on the shelves later this year.

[From The Daily Mail]

It’s surprising that no one has a real explanation for why Meghan’s ShopMy page is blank right now. While the Mail and other tabloids have screamed about it all week, no one has an actual Sussex source explaining what Meghan is doing there. I suspect that it’s not a bad thing, and I also suspect that Meghan is not shutting down her ShopMy completely. But we’ll see. As for Marina Hyde and Richard Osman’s pocketwatching and gossip-mongering… lmao. They can’t cry about “Netflix is cutting their ties with the Sussexes” anymore, so now it’s “Netflix is cutting their ties with As Ever!” Girl, why?? Netflix suddenly doesn’t like to make money?

Stressed over trip planning as a couple? Top 5 tips for a perfect vacation: Budgeting to dividing responsibilities | Travel

Instead of bickering over your trip plan, here’s an easy couple’s guide to make travel stress-free and bond well.

Trip planning should not ideally follow a one-size-fits-all approach, with generic itineraries and copy-paste schedules, sightseeing spots. The plan depends on the family size: be it a multigenerational family with kids and grandparents, a solo traveller, or parents with little children. Likewise, a couple’s trip needs to prioritise planning that includes fun, intimate time together for relaxation and bonding.

Heniel Rupaarelia, founder and managing director at ETrav Tech Ltd, shared with HT Lifestyle five tips for couples on how to plan their trips:

1. Make it experience-first

  • Select destinations that combine romance with light adventure, such as beaches, hillside retreats or cultural hubs, where mornings might mean hiking misty trails and evenings end with wine by the ocean. Replace rigid timetables with freedom.
  • Renting bicycles in safe areas offers spontaneity and shared exploration in a way private cars rarely can.
  • Keep at least one day unscheduled and plan a spontaneous visit to a local cafe, a hidden waterfall or a market unknown to guidebooks.

2. Budget smart, not tight

  • Blend indulgence with authenticity. Splurge on a scenic fine-dining experience but balance it with street food walks or local market tastings, which often reveal the most memorable flavours and stories.
  • Keep a flexible budget with a buffer for last-minute opportunities such as a surprise couple’s spa treatment, a private sunset sail or an offbeat cultural tour.
  • Skip the expensive glamour of Paris or London in peak season and instead, enjoy Vietnam’s charming cafes, Sri Lanka’s coastal escapes or Croatia’s romantic old towns at a fraction of the price with double the charm.

3. Balance sightseeing and downtime

  • It’s tempting to load the itinerary with every ‘must-see’, but overplanning can erode the very connection you’re travelling to nurture.
  • Trips with one to two planned activities per day have turned out to be more fruitful than those with three or more.
  • Build in slow mornings, unhurried meals and unstructured afternoons. Use in-between moments to share a coffee on a balcony, to spend a lazy afternoon in a hammock or to take a romantic stroll.

4. Divide responsibilities to avoid burnout

  • Planning fatigue is real, and putting the entire burden on one partner risks imbalance.
  • The most efficient travel pairs adopt a split-and-conquer model. One handles flights, visas and core bookings, while the other shortlists hotels based on location, safety and ambience.
  • Assigning roles such as food scout or map master not only divides the workload but turns planning into a joint adventure.

5. Choose destinations that strengthen the bond

  • Tourist-friendly hubs like Bali, Portugal or Japan offer the right mix of beauty, culture and ease of movement, all extremely crucial for a stress-free bonding. Avoid regions with safety concerns unless both are seasoned travellers.
  • Travel season matters, too. Shoulder seasons like April in Greece or September in Japan offer lower prices, fewer crowds and more space for intimacy. For couples travelling from India, short-haul destinations like the Maldives, Bhutan or Thailand provide seamless escapes without long layovers.
  • Design the trip to match your shared energy. Ubud in Bali offers couples’ spas and jungle views, Lake Bled in Slovenia delivers fairy-tale tranquillity and Hoi An in Vietnam charms with lantern-lit evenings.

Experience is paramount on a couple’s trip, slow, intimate moments which outshine the otherwise packed itineraries. From spontaneous detours to leisurely beginning the day with breakfast in bed, travelling for a couple is a good way to connect, especially for the new ones.
