Oasis’ Paul Arthurs Steps Away From Tour For Cancer Treatment

An Oasis founding member is stepping away from the band’s highly-anticipated reunion tour following a prostate cancer diagnosis.

On Friday, guitarist Paul ‘Bonehead’ Arthurs shared his health news on Instagram, announcing his temporary departure from the Oasis Live ’25 World Tour, which kicked off on July 4 in Cardiff, Wales.

“Early this year I was diagnosed with prostate cancer,” he shared in his post. “The good news is I’m responding really well to treatment, which meant I could be part of this incredible tour. Now, I am having to take a planned break for the next phase of my care, so I’ll be missing the gigs in Seoul, Tokyo, Melbourne and Sydney.”

Arthurs continued, “I’m really sad to be missing these shows but I’m feeling good and will be back ready to go in time for South America. Have an amazing time if you’re going this month and I’ll see you back onstage with the band in November. Bonehead. X”

The band’s next stop after Arthurs’ break will be in Buenos Aires, Argentina on Nov. 15 and 16.

Following reports of an Oasis reunion tour, Liam Gallagher confirmed the news last August that he and brother Noel were reuniting, after their long-held sibling rivalry resulted in the latter leaving the group mid-tour in 2009.

“It is with some sadness and great relief…I quit Oasis tonight,” Noel wrote in a statement at the time. “People will write and say what they like, but I simply could not go on working with Liam a day longer.”

Paul Bettany hasn’t watched ‘A Knight’s Tale’ because he misses Heath Ledger

by jummy84 October 1, 2025
written by jummy84

Paul Bettany has admitted he hasn’t watched his breakthrough film A Knight’s Tale since it was first released because he misses late co-star Heath Ledger “too much”.

The WandaVision and Avengers star played English poet and writer Geoffrey Chaucer in the medieval 2001 action-comedy, which starred Ledger as William Thatcher, a peasant squire, fuelled by his desire for food and glory, who forges a new identity for himself as a knight when his master dies.

Ledger went on to be nominated for a Best Actor Oscar for his role in Brokeback Mountain in 2005 and he played the iconic Batman villain The Joker in Christopher Nolan’s 2008 blockbuster The Dark Knight. The actor died in January the same year, four months before the release of the film, after overdosing on prescription drugs. He was 28 years-old.

The late actor received a posthumous Oscar for his role in the film.

Speaking in a Q&A during an appearance over the weekend at the LA Comic Con, when asked if fans ever ask him to repeat some of his iconic lines from A Knight’s Tale, Bettany said: “It was a really long time ago. It was like another lifetime ago. And people do come up sometimes, people come up to me on the street and quote things at me, and I literally can’t remember. I can’t remember any of it.”

He added: “I saw [the film] when it first came out. I’ve never seen it again since. There are lots of reasons for that, and just one of them is that I miss Heath too much.”

Elsewhere, it was recently confirmed that Bettany is set to return as Marvel Studios’ Vision in the forthcoming Disney+ series Vision Quest, which is set for release in 2026.

Bettany last played Vision in the 2021 Disney+ series WandaVision, where the character was resurrected and revamped into White Vision following his death in 2018’s Avengers: Infinity War.

Paul McCartney Performs “Help!” For the First Time in 35 Years: Watch

by jummy84 September 30, 2025
written by jummy84

Sir Paul McCartney officially kicked off his first North American tour in three years with a pair of shows in California over the last few days. His Friday night gig at the Santa Barbra Bowl served as a warm-up of sorts, as he played an abbreviated setlist to a relatively intimate crowd. The tour — featuring its full 35-song setlist — continued on Monday night at Acrisure Arena in Thousand Palms, California. At both shows, McCartney kicked off the night by performing “Help!” — marking the first time he has played The Beatles song live in 35 years. He also appeared to play the song using the Höfner bass he was recently reunited with after 50 years.

Because McCartney’s Santa Barbara Bowl concert enforced a no-phone policy, the first live footage of “Help!” comes instead from his Acrisure Arena show. Watch the fan-shot video below, along with more highlights from the night and the full setlist.

Paul McCartney Launches North American Tour with First Performance of “Help!” in 35 Years

by jummy84 September 28, 2025
written by jummy84

Paul McCartney is officially back.

The Beatles legend kicked off his 2025 North American tour as the latest leg of his “Get Back” run on Friday Night night (Sept. 26th) at the relatively intimate Santa Barbara Bowl in Santa Barbara, California. The 4,562-capacity venue was sold out and a phone-free event. It served as the launch of his first US tour since 2022.

From the opening of the show, McCartney thrilled the audience with a mix of iconic hits, including “Help!” which marked its first performance since 1990. He proceeded to perform classics like “Got to Get You Into My Life” and “Let Me Roll It,” showcasing his deep catalog of Beatles, Wings, and solo work. His rendition of “Getting Better” was followed by the soulful “Let ‘Em In,” while the tender “My Valentine” provided a softer moment in the set. The Wings anthem “Nineteen Hundred and Eighty-Five” had the crowd singing along before McCartney brought out The Beatles’ infectious “I’ve Just Seen a Face” and the timeless “Love Me Do.”

A nod to his quieter, more reflective side came with the haunting “Blackbird,” followed by the moving “Now and Then.” McCartney made sure to keep the Beatles spirit alive with fan favorites like “Lady Madonna,” “Ob-La-Di, Ob-La-Da,” and the crowd-pleasing “Get Back.” The evening reached a peak with the soaring “Let It Be,” the explosive “Live and Let Die, and finally, “Hey Jude.”

McCartney’s 2025 tour picks up next week in Palm Desert, followed by shows in Des Moines, Tulsa, Atlanta, Pittsburgh, Montreal and more, before closing out with a two-night stand at Chicago’s United Center in late November. Performing with McCartney on this tour is his longtime band: Paul “Wix” Wickens on keyboards, Brian Ray on bass and guitar, Rusty Anderson on guitar and Abe Laboriel Jr. on drums.

Sir Paul was most recently seen with a cameo in mockumentary sequel Spinal Tap II: The End Continues. He also shows up on the movie’s companion album, with his appearance on a new version of Spinal Tap’s “Cups and Cakes” scoring our Song of the Week earlier this month.

Paul McCartney Plays ‘Help!’ in Full for First Time Since 1965

by jummy84 September 27, 2025
written by jummy84

Macca did perform 50 seconds of “Help!” in a medley of John Lennon songs on the final leg of his 1990 tour, but he hasn’t done the full song since the Beatles played Cardiff, Wales, in 1965

Paul McCartney launched his 2025 North American tour Friday night with a last-minute warmup gig at the Santa Barbara Bowl in Santa Barbara, California. He kicked off the night by playing the Beatles classic “Help!” in its entirety for the first time since 1965.

The Santa Barbara Bowl seats a mere 4,562 people, meaning it’s roughly a quarter the size of the arenas he’s hitting on the rest of the tour. The show was announced just two weeks ago, it sold out within minutes, and fans had to secure their phones in Yondr pouches for the night. That’s why footage of “Help!” from the show has yet to emerge online. An enterprising fan did capture 30 seconds of “Help!” from soundcheck that provides at least a rough idea of what it sounded like.

McCartney last performed just a section of “Help!” on the final leg of his 1989/90 Flowers in the Dirt tour when he did a medley of John Lennon songs that also features snippets of “Strawberry Fields Forever” and “Give Peace a Chance.” The “Help!” segment lasted less than a minute. He last played “Help!” in full on December 12, 1965, when the Beatles played the Capitol Theater in Cardiff, Wales.

The revival of “Help!” is noteworthy since McCartney usually avoids Beatles songs written largely by John Lennon. “When ‘Help!’ came out in ’65, I was actually crying out for help,” Lennon told Playboy in 1980. “Most people think it’s just a fast rock ‘n roll song. I didn’t realize it at the time; I just wrote the song because I was commissioned to write it for the movie [Help!]. But later, I knew I really was crying out for help. It was my fat Elvis period … I was fat and depressed and I was crying out for help.”

Trending Stories

There weren’t any other big surprises in McCartney’s set at the Santa Barbara Bowl. It focused largely on Beatles classics like “Getting Better,” “Lady Madonna,” “Hey Jude,” and “Helter Skelter,” Wings hits like “Jet,” “Live and Let Die,” and “Let Me Roll It,” and solo tunes like “My Valentine,” “Coming Up,” and “Nineteen Hundred and Eighty-Five.” He also played the “new” Beatles song “Now and Then,” and played a virtual duet with John Lennon on “I’ve Got a Feeling” using footage from the 1969 Beatles Apple Records rooftop performance.

McCartney’s tour continues Monday night at the Acrisure Arena in Thousand Palms, California. In the strong likelihood that “Help!” remains in the set, footage should emerge online pretty soon after it wraps.

Watch Rosé blend Lana Del Rey and Paul Simon tracks in medley on ‘The Howard Stern Show’

BLACKPINK‘s Rosé blended covers of Lana Del Rey and Paul Simon tracks while on The Howard Stern Show – check it out below.

  • READ MORE: Rosé and Bruno Mars’ ‘APT.’ is an addictively flirty and fun intro to the BLACKPINK star’s solo era

As well as her own hit single, the Bruno Mars-assisted ‘APT.’, the New Zealand artist also combined Lana Del Rey‘s ‘Norman Fucking Rockwell’ with Paul Simon‘s ‘50 Ways to Leave Your Lover’ during her stop on the show.

The full footage of her appearance was shared on YouTube on Friday (September 26), with the ’50 Ways to Leave Your Norman’ medley seeing Rosé alter Del Rey’s track slightly so its lyrics were less explicit.

“You talk to the walls when the party gets bored of you/But I don’t get bored, I just see it through/Why wait for the best when I could have you?” she sang, before transitioning into Simon’s 1975 track.

“You just slip out the back, Jack/Make a new plan, Stan/You don’t need to be coy, Roy/Just get yourself free,” Rosé sings in the clip. “Hop on the bus, Gus/You don’t need to discuss much/Just drop off the key, Lee/And get yourself free.”

Earlier this month, the K-pop star and BLACKPINK member hit yet another landmark achievement, with ‘APT.’ garnering over 2billion views on YouTube, the first of her solo material to do so.

That news came shortly after she became the first-ever Korean act to win Song of the Year at the MTV Video Music Awards (VMAs). ‘APT.’ broke numerous records and topped charts following its release in October – also becoming the fastest K-pop song to surpass one billion streams on Spotify.

The track was also named one of NME’s best 50 songs of 2024 and clinched the second spot on NME’s list of the best 25 K-pop songs of the year, with Sara Delgado saying that with “a genius interpolation of Toni Basil’s ‘Mickey’ and an infectiously funky chanted chorus, ‘APT.’ will go down in history as the perfect case study on how to launch a solo career.

“The cherry on top of a great package? The assist (vocally, but also creatively) from the ever-charismatic Bruno Mars.”

The song also scored a glowing five-star review, with NME’s Rhian Daly writing: “There’s a power and confidence in her voice that far surpasses her past performances, and the vintage pop-rock riffs and attitude – which echo with elements of Toni Basil, Blondie and Joan Jett – feel sublimely suited to her as an artist.

“Addictive, flirty and a whole lot of fun, ‘APT.’ is the perfect introduction to Rosé’s new chapter.”

Paul Gallagher, Brother of Oasis’ Noel and Liam, Denies Rape Charge

by jummy84 September 27, 2025

Gallagher’s trial will not take place until September 2027

Paul Gallagher, the older brother of Oasis’ Liam and Noel Gallagher, pleaded not guilty to rape and other charges on Friday, Sept. 26.

Gallagher, 59, also pleaded not guilty to charges of coercive and controlling behavior, three counts of sexual assault, three counts of intentional strangulation, two counts of making a threat to kill, and one count of assault, according to the BBC. He was released on bail, and a start date for his trial was scheduled for Sept. 13, 2027.

Lawyers for Gallagher did not immediately return Rolling Stone’s request for comment. His attorneys at Carson Kaye previously issued the statement, “Mr. Gallagher has consistently engaged with the police throughout their investigation and always strongly denied the allegations made against him. He looks forward to clearing his name, but as there are now ongoing legal proceedings, our client is unable to comment further” (via Reuters).

Trending Stories

Gallagher was charged by Scotland Yard in July following an investigation that started last year. “The offenses are reported to have taken place between 2022 [and] 2024,” a police spokesperson previously told Rolling Stone. “A woman is being supported by specially-trained officers.”

In 1997, Gallagher wrote a book called Brothers: From Childhood to Oasis — The Real Story, but he is not (and has never been) a member of his younger brothers’ band. The news of his arrest came just weeks after Oasis kicked off their long-awaited reunion tour, which is set to resume with additional shows in London this weekend. Further shows in Japan, Australia, and South America are scheduled through November.

Liam and Noel’s brother Paul Gallagher denies rape and sexual assault charges

by jummy84 September 27, 2025
written by jummy84

Paul Gallagher, the older brother of Oasis’ Noel and Liam, has pleaded not guilty to multiple charges of sexual assault.

Today (Friday September 26), the 59-year-old appeared at Harrow Crown Court, which was sitting at Southwark Crown Court, entering pleas of not guilty to all charges (via BBC).

The charges include one count of rape, three counts of sexual assault, three of intentional strangulation, two of making a threat to kill, as well as charges concerning coercive and controlling behaviour and assault conditioning actual bodily harm.

The Metropolitan Police have said the alleged offences took place “between 2022 and 2024”, and Gallagher has now been bailed to face trial on 13 September, 2027.

Gallagher was charged in July by Scotland Yard after an investigation opened against him last year. He went on to make an appearance in court last month, speaking during a five-minute hearing only to confirm his name, age and address.

Paul is one year older than Noel and seven years older than Liam, and has worked previously as a photographer and DJ.

The Telegraph reported in July that the North London flat that Paul Gallagher lives in now, situated in East Finchley, was bought for him by Noel in 2004. While he grew up with Liam and Noel in Burnage, Manchester, he has never been involved with the Britpop band. He was listed as ‘tour DJ’ in the official tour programme for the Oasis Live ‘25 reunion tour.

This weekend, Oasis are set to play their final two announced UK shows on the reunion tour, headlining Wembley Stadium on Saturday and Sunday (September 27 and 28). They recently wrapped the North American leg of the tour and they have further dates to come in South America, Australia, South Korea and Japan.

Rose Covers Lana Del Rey, Paul Simon on ‘The Howard Stern Show’

by jummy84 September 26, 2025
written by jummy84

The singer pulled from Lana Del Rey’s “Norman Fucking Rockwell” and Paul Simon’s “50 Ways to Leave Your Lover” to create the bluesy “50 Ways to Leave Your Norman”

Rosé stopped by the Howard Stern Show for a solo showcase. The Blackpink singer brought her own hit single, the Bruno Mars-assisted “APT.,” but also whipped up a fusion of two songs from two distinct artists. In a medley performance, Rosé pulled from Lana Del Rey‘s “Norman Fucking Rockwell” and Paul Simon‘s “50 Ways to Leave Your Lover” to create the bluesy cover record “50 Ways to Leave Your Norman.”

The two songs share a loose narrative thread. Rosé started off singing about a pretentious poet in her less explicit version of “Norman Fucking Rockwell,” crooning, “You talk to the walls when the party gets bored of you/But I don’t get bored, I just see it through/Why wait for the best when I could have you?” As she transitioned into “50 Ways to Leave Your Lover,” a sudden realization comes to light thanks to some much needed advice.

“You just slip out the back, Jack/Make a new plan, Stan/You don’t need to be coy, Roy/Just get yourself free,” Rosé sang with an edge of funk from her band in the studio. “Hop on the bus, Gus/You don’t need to discuss much/Just drop off the key, Lee/And get yourself free.”

Trending Stories

While on the show, Rosé also shared the original demo for “APT.” before Bruno Mars contributed his feature. In the original verses, she encouraged a similar exit strategy, only with different motives. “We’ve been talking seven days a week/But you can’t hold my body through a screen/So you should leave your friends back at the bar,” she sang on the recording. “The night is still young, I got what you need/You can go and call yourself a car/Don’t tell anyone that you gon’ meet me at the…”

“APT.” appeared on Rosé’s debut solo album Rosie, which arrived in December. This weekend, she’ll perform the record at Global Citizen Festival in New York City.
