Snooker Shoot Out order of play | Wednesday 10th December 2025

by jummy84 December 9, 2025
written by jummy84

Reigning champion Tom Ford begins his Snooker Shoot Out title defence on the opening day of the fast-paced tournament.

A randomised draw, single-frame matches with a 10-minute limit, and a 10/15-second shot clock are among the rule changes that make the format an exciting switch from the norm.

Action moves fast at the three-day ranking tournament, which is back at the Tower Circus in Blackpool after a decade away from the venue.

Ford takes on Martin O’Donnell in the afternoon session, while Masters champion Shaun Murphy, whose 147 in this format in 2023 was truly special, is the highest-ranked player on the table in the evening.

It may not have the history or esteem of the Triple Crown events, but even Snooker purists can’t deny that the shortened format throws up plenty of drama.

RadioTimes.com brings you the daily order of play and full schedule for Snooker Shoot Out 2025.

We’re keeping this page updated with all the latest times and coverage details throughout the course of the tournament.

Jared Padalecki & Anna Fricke’s Texas Medical Drama Gets Development Room Order At CBS

by jummy84 November 13, 2025
written by jummy84

Walker star/executive producer Jared Padalecki‘s re-teaming with the CW series’ executive producer/showrunner Anna Fricke is advancing at CBS. The network has given a development room order to the untitled medical drama.

The project, from CBS Studios where Fricke is under an overall deal and Padalecki has a first-look pact, was set up at CBS for development in January.

That is not typically a broadcast buying window but since switching to long-term, year-round development two years ago, CBS has been leaning heaving into off-cycle orders after a lengthy development process that sometimes includes writers rooms.

CBS recently gave a series order to Robert and Michelle King’s legal drama Cupertino starring Mike Colter, which also went through a writers room order after initially being put in development in summer 2024. The network’s current medical drama Watson also followed the development room model.

Stocking up on classic TV drama genres, Cupertino will join CBS’ hit legal drama Matlcok, with the Fricke/Padalecki project looking to join Watson. The network has several entries in the cop (and adjacent) field, most recently hot freshmen Boston Blue and Sheriff Country.

Like Walker, the untitled Fricke/Padalecki project is set in Padalecki’s home state of Texas. Unlike most medical dramas, which take place at big, urban hospitals, it spotlights rural medicine, which is rarely seen on TV. It centers on a headstrong, devoted doctor (Padalecki) who practices his unique style of improvisational medicine alongside his new protégé, a young doctor escaping her past, as they operate a mobile clinic and heal the bodies and souls of their underserved community in the medical desert of rural Texas.

Fricke and Laura Terry executive produce through Fricke’s Pursued by a Bear alongside Padalecki. Genevieve Padalecki also is producing; Padalecki’s former manager Dan Spilo is no longer involved. It is unclear yet whether the project would target the 2026-27 or 2027-28 season.

Padalecki recently recurred on CBS/CBS Studios’ Fire Country with a possibility to spin off his character into a separate series. There has been no movement on that idea, and there have been no plans for the Supernatural alum to return to Fire Country this season.

In addition to headlining and executive producing CW/CBS Studios’ Walker, Padalecki also executive produced the prequel series Walker: Independence, working on both with Fricke who developed the former and co-developed the latter in addition to her services as executive producer on both and showrunner on Walker.

Fricke’s series credits also include 4400, Valor and Wayward Pines.

‘A Different World’ Sequel Snags Netflix Series Order

by jummy84 November 11, 2025
written by jummy84

Hillman College will enroll a new class of students with Netflix’s pickup of a sequel series to A Different World.

The streamer has given a series order to the comedy, which has been in the works for more than a year (and included a very rare pilot order from Netflix). The show will star Tony Award winner Maleah Joi Moon (Hell’s Kitchen on Broadway) as Deborah, the youngest daughter of original series leads Whitley (Jasmine Guy) and Dwayne Wayne (Kadeem Hardison), who enrolls at the HBCU her parents attended.

Felicia Pride (Bel-Air, Grey’s Anatomy) is the showrunner on A Different World. Several alumni of the 1987-93 NBC series join Pride as executive producers, including Debbie Allen, Reggie Rock Bythewood, Gina Prince-Bythewood and Tom Werner; Mandy Summers also exec produces. Allen, who directed the majority of the original show’s episodes, will helm the series premiere and two more episodes in the sequel’s first season.

“It is such an honor to be a part of bringing back this iconic show, one that I grew up on and which had a profound impact on my life,” Pride said in a statement. “I am so proud of the work we’re doing to reimagine A Different World for beloved fans and new generations alike.”

A Different World was a spinoff of The Cosby Show that followed Denise Huxtable (Lisa Bonet) to college. Bonet left the show after its first season, and the show retooled around a larger ensemble that featured Guy, Hardison, Dawnn Lewis, Darryl M. Bell, Cree Summer, Charnele Brown, Glynn Turman, Sinbad and Lou Myers. Bill Cosby is credited as the creator of the original series, but he is not involved in the sequel.

The logline for the sequel reads, “The series follows Deborah as she enters her freshman year at her parents’ HBCU alma mater and finds their shadow difficult to escape. She sets out to build her own legacy — while having the time of her life — alongside a whole new generation of Hillman’s best and brightest.

Alijah Kai, Chibuikem Uche, Cornell Young IV, Jordan Aaron Hall and Kennedi Reece will star alongside Moon in the new series.

“A Different World changed everything for us,” said the Bythewoods in a statement. “It was where we got our start as writers and where we found each other. This show has always been a part of our love story. To return to Hillman now and help reimagine this world for a new generation feels like a continuation of that legacy — one rooted in love, purpose, and possibility.”

Moon is repped by Buchwald, Authentic Talent & Literary Management, Strig Artist Management and Jill Fritzo PR. Kai is with IAG and Holland and Knight.

White House Fully Complying w/ Court Order To Provide Partial SNAP Benefits After Trump
Claims Otherwise

Looks like partial #SNAP benefits will go out this month after all. The #WhiteHouse has confirmed it is “fully complying” with a federal court order to distribute benefits from the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP) despite earlier statements from #PresidentTrump suggesting otherwise. Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt told reporters today (Nov. 4) that the administration was following the court order and working to get partial SNAP payments distributed “as quickly as we can.”

The clarification comes after Trump claimed this morning on Truth Social that SNAP benefits “will be given only when the Radical Left Democrats open up government.” Leavitt said Trump simply meant that he “didn’t want to have to keep tapping into an emergency fund and depleting it in the case of a catastrophe in this country.”

[Update] Jay-Z Wins Latest Court Battle As Judge Denies Restraining Order From Alleged Son’s Godmother

[Update] Jay-Z Wins Latest Court Battle As Judge Denies Restraining Order From Alleged Son’s Godmother

Jay-Z scored another victory in his long-running legal battle against Lillie Coley, the godmother of a man who claims to be his biological son. On Friday, a California federal judge denied Coley’s emergency request for a restraining order, which sought to halt a sanctions hearing she described as “retaliatory.”

According to AllHipHop, Judge Sherilyn Peace Garnett ruled that Coley failed to meet the legal standard for immediate court action, allowing Jay-Z’s legal team to proceed with efforts to sanction her for what they call “decades-long harassment.”

The case stems from allegations by Rymir Satterthwaite, who has claimed Jay-Z is his father for years. Coley, Satterthwaite’s former guardian, has led the legal push despite multiple dismissals. In 2022, a New Jersey judge barred Coley and Satterthwaite from filing new paternity suits without prior approval.

Jay-Z’s lawyers argue that the filings are ab*sive and unsupported by evidence, while Coley continues to claim he has evaded DNA testing.

What are your thoughts on this longstanding drama?

HGTV’s ‘House Hunters,’ ‘House Hunter International’ Get 400-Episode Order

by jummy84 October 23, 2025
written by jummy84

HGTV has bolstered its slate of real estate shows by freshening up its House Hunters and House Hunter International series with a giant 400 episode renewal order through 2026.

The House Hunters franchise, launched 25 years ago and attracting over 13 million viewers monthly, will return as real estate experts continue to steer potential buyers to local dream property purchases.

Botched Homes will see New York City-turned-Florida contractor Charlie Kawas and his crew fix failed renovations in a reality series from producer Mounment and set to debut in 2026. HGTV also ordered 16 half hours of Neighborhood Watch, a home surveillance footage series from Arrow Media also to debut next year.

Also upcoming from HGTV is the house hunting series World’s Bargain Dream Homes, where home buyers dream big and buy low in the show from Twenty Twenty Television. And HGTV home reno stars Drew and Jonathan Scott are set to star and executive produce 14 episodes of Property Brothers: Under Pressure from Scott Brothers Entertainment.

The new real estate series sees the Scott twins help wary buyers grapple with commitment issues to possibly make the biggest purchase of their lives.

“With this programming order, HGTV is delivering more of our tried-and-true formats that drive consistent ratings for the network, while also featuring new talent and concepts to engage our devoted fans and attract different audiences,” said Howard Lee, chief creative officer, U.S. Networks at Warner Bros. Discovery in a statement.

House Hunters is produced by Pie Town Productions, while the spinoff House Hunters International series is produced by Leopard USA.

‘Prison Break’ Reboot Gets Hulu Series Order

by jummy84 October 21, 2025
written by jummy84

Hulu is heading into — and then out of, presumably — the big house.

The Disney-owned streamer has greenlit an update of the 2000s Fox series Prison Break. The series, in development for the better part of two years, comes from Mayans MC co-creator Elgin James, who will serve as showrunner after writing and directing the pilot episode.

While the new Prison Break will be set in the same world as the prior show, it will follow a new cast of characters. Emily Browning, Drake Rodger, Lukas Gage, Clayton Cardenas, JR Bourne, Georgie Flores and Myles Bullock star.

The series will center on Browning’s character, an ex-soldier turned corrections officer who, per the show’s logline, “takes a job at one of the deadliest prisons in America to prove just how far she’ll go for someone she loves.”

Prison Break comes from 20th Television, which also produced the original series. James executive produces with Paul Scheuring (who created the original series), Dawn Olmstead, Marty Adelstein and Neal Moritz. Olmstead, Adelstein and Moritz were also EPs of the original show.

Prison Break premiered on Fox in 2005 and ran for four seasons, then was revived for a nine-episode run in 2017. It starred Wentworth Miller as a man who deliberately has himself incarcerated as part of a plan to break out his wrongfully convicted brother (Dominic Purcell). The show’s cast also featured Amaury Nolasco, Robert Knepper, Sarah Wayne Callies, Paul Adelstein, Rockmond Dunbar, Peter Stormare, Robin Tunney, Marshall Allman and William Fichtner. The original series streams on Hulu and Netflix.
